ive just said 'Over time the refresh rate has been deteriorating. One day it'll work at 'x' Hz, then give it a month or 2 it will begin tearing badly and will be unusable and eventually 99% black screen. At this point i would have to go down a step in refresh rate in order to get it to work. Turns out the problem is the 'ultra low latency' mode, and when its disabled it works fine. However this means i cannot run freesync. What is teh solution? Is there a firmware update i can do?'

I main open back headphones. Removed the grilles from my HE-4XX, even - they're the most open back they can get. When I say "wearing headphones", I don't mean as a point of fashion, but actually using the headphones. Nuances in the sound of they keyboard are going to be almost completely lost. If anything, you want a silent board at that point, which I think is less "sound profile is important", and more so "keyboards are too loud". Didn't think the conversation was really about volume, so much as texture.

Used to run speakers, but were too disruptive to everyone else, and there's a lot of stuff I want to listen to/play/watch that isn't appropriate for kids in the next room/I mostly [computer] at night after everybody is in bed. If I have time to do speakers, I'm in the living room watching something on the home theater setup.

I'm not entirely convinced that I wouldn't fall in love with EC/Topre. Pretty sure the next time I have spluge money, I'll grab a used one and see what it's like.
