What matters is how the product is and what it cost
Think of it like buying a gpu
What's the main thing with the neo60 core that makes it so good
It won't be faster because it has an Asus shroud on it
But it might cost more
As a consumer what matters is what you're getting and what it costs
you have to swtich between key layers so much that you dont spend half the day doomscrolling tiktok or arguing with strangers on the internet /s
did better wth an inky 75
try one youwill know why
takes like literally no time
I think neo in general is considered very high quality, and you have plenty of replacement parts you can buy separately to mod or whatever you want to do
hey could anyone tell me the difference between these two monitors? like what does 'glossy' vs 'matte' mean, because when i look that up it just looks the same on video
Glossy looks reflective and smooth like glass. Matte has a soft finish that reduces reflection a bit and diffuses the rest
which would be better for a dimmer room?
its sorta preference
oh ok
glossy is better for deeper blacks
if you dont have any lights that would reflect off the monitor id go glossy
Matte tends to degrade the picture quality a tiny bit depending on how good the coating is
there we go ,it took a while to find a good picture on google
Left is glossy
also do you think the aoc monitor i sent is a decent price for what it is (i dont know much about oled monitor pricing), its about 400 usd with shipping
it's a very good deal
Could anyone recommend a key board that's mechanical and super quiet and orange? Lmao
whats your budget and would you be fine with replacing switches/keycaps
also, would it be orange enough if the case is black or sth and we put orange keycaps on it (and maybe set RGB to orange for example)
i mean i guess the switches dont need to be orange xDD
glossy better
also keycaps coming
I have planned the following peripherals for a laptop setup. Any opinions?
EVGA X12
Redragon K582 Surara
AOC 24G4E
Portronics Mport 8 or Portronics Mport 8 Plus (Depending on Ethernet connectivity and port)
STRIFF World Map Extended Size Mouse Pad
Yoooo - I'm trying to clean up my desk a bit. 2x 32in, 1x27x, 1x15in(laptop) - what would your recommendations be for stands/arms?
Trying to get a configuration that allows me to use the laptop again, too 😁
Not opposed to a new desk (current one is 29in deep), but that'd be a last resort since it'd be about $500 - vs ~150ish for arms/stands.
I don't want to wall mount.
I'm currently leaning to a dual (up to 40ish in) and leaving the 27in on its stand vertical. Getting rid of the desk riser, and putting the laptop in the middle under the 2x 32s. Just not sure if there's a stand that'd go high enough (15+17/2, 24in or ~30in if I keep the monitor on its stand) and is sturdy for a decent price.
are you opposed to building a desk yourself?
building mine was way faster (and cheaper) than any ikea desk
its 86x35 inches and cost me less than 100€ when i built it
and instead of plywood and other cheap crap with a coatign of plastic its actual massive wood, mine is beech iirc.
genuinely highly recommend if a new desk is an option for you
100euro for wood and 700 in tools.
a slab of similar dimensions for a wood I'd like would run me close to $600 alone, so that's not really in the works atm.
a screwdriver, 4 angles and 16 screws
oil + paint
preferably 24 screws and a motorized screwdriver, but 16 and manual does the trick as well
if you can source the materials, be my guest.
but here in the US - decent hardwood is far from cheap.
pretty much all you'll find for boards is whitewood or southern pine, neither of which would take a stain to the tone I'd want or be very good.
if the solution is a new desk vs arms then meh, that'll be something I expedite and save for more actively.
that sucks i guess if prices over there are terrible.
for some people the downsides that each of the mounting systems for monitor arms brigns with them, can only be overcome by not goign with arms and getting a bigger desk so i wnated to brign it up since its often cheaper than people think, but doesnt seem to be the solution for you.
im not rly a monitor arm guy tho, but gl with ur project 😊
ballpark estimate for a 6ft x 40in desk using walnut (preferred wood) is somewhere in the realm of 600. Assuming I use a cheaper wood for legs and supports, and don't mess up any of them during tap and drilling.
The boards alone are 433 total.
yikes
I can't even source 8ft lengths
i mean i built mine like 7 years ago so obviously prices are different now
yeahhh covid n all...
my feet actually are dark grey painted pallets that i got for 15€ each 😄
bruh
and the one on my right got another like 10x20 inch plate as an armrest
which i absolutely love
pallets here are around $50 a pop.
WTF
over here we got these EUR pallets that can hold a car parking on them and u can easily get one for 10-15 unpainted and maaaaybe 25 tops for a painted one
there is so many decoration and furniture based on them bc they are kinda iconic and cheap
revising this to 700. I'd need 2 sets of clamps that exceed 40in jaw width.
really easy to build a shelf out of them as well
I had a wall of pallet bookshelves in college lol
im so glad we have these
if ur going to a shared apartment and there is no furniture out of pallets, sth is fishy xD
feels like u get those when applying for university here
I stole mine from a store that didnt have cameras out back watching them
meh, walmart will be fine
yuck. there are 8ft lengths, but only for maple.
and not nearly thick enough
i mean its certainly not a terrible idea to keep an eye out
maybe even on the used market
I'm on an email list for an arborist and lumbermill
especially furniture is thrown away bc people went from halloween to christmas decoration
ok maybe the fire emote in this case might be a bit misleading xD
they're supposed to email me when they get a 36x96 slab of walnut or cedar.
amazing
yeah most of what's tossed around here is ikea - college town n all.
ever since i built my desk i hated when i moved in with my gf and her parents just gifted us tons of ikea furniture
3 hours building for a little shelf
like my desk, u just put the pallets up
slam the plate on
and the past years i never even screwed it in xD
I've onyl ever used ikea for one of their little cubby/organizers
use it for a shoe rack.
my other furniture that i built looks awful, but at least its built in 5 mins
me with my dining table.. I lost the bolts that hold it to the base, so now gravity just keeps it there.
im just lazy ngl
upping this to ~1200. I'd need two desks, since I can't source 8ft lengths. so two 6x2.(2/3)ft desks
thats legit almost like tenfold the price i'd pay xD
(given that i take some shortcuts, my dads alcohol addiction doesnt finance itself)
planer, sander, 2 sets of clamps(36in or greater) (149+59+[104+76]) = 388 for tools alone
wtf i can just tell the hardware store to sand them for me for free xD
I can to but I don't trust them to do it evenly across 4 boards.
u might consider a flight to the EU and back, might be cheaper xD
I'd sand them after glueing.
do it right or do it again (later).
I'm decently handy - just usually mechanically; less so in the wood-working department.
ur certainly a handy person, had a great talk so far :3
If you've got a sketch/diagram for the desk you made, I'll give it a read and price out what it'd be currently.
no it was just 2 pallets, plate of your choice, i went with roughly 85x35x1 inch
2 angles for each of the pallets and some screws.
then glaze and paint
ahh
here we mostly have oak and beech
but obviously thats up for choice and regional prices, preference more than "copy 1 :1"
Most lumber in the US that's decently cheap is pine or oak, both of which look awful to me lol
oh true its oak, im not having a pokemon professor for a desk plate
oh no wait hes also called oak in the games right?
yeah lol
I've always been a fan of walnut but the tropical walnut I prefer is a little expensive, sucks 😂
cries in Florida
i never had tropical walnut, how does it taste?
mulchy
Upgrading my keyboard soon but here's my wrist rest
i love myself some mulchy nuts
Rough sketch for how I'd build them.
the side legs would have to have some sort of cross bracing I feel like.
actually, maybe
import pallets from EU 🤣
oof i don't even wanna think what that custom's charge would be.
AI sumamry sais a few hundred to 1k €
yeahhh at that point just build the desk the way I want as above lol
i think the worst thign about it that if its a few hundred € its still kinda competitive with those heavy weight pallets xD
true that lol
(not that those were a good option in the first palce tho)
I could do butcher's block
nvm they're all 25in deep
so i'd either have a more shallow desk, or one that's 50in deep and nearly a square.
https://a.aliexpress.com/_Eju7cN4
So I want already for a while now new switches in my keychron v1. I wanted something a bit thockier, but I don't want to immediately spend lots of money. So I just found this, and I was like why is the bottom black? But for what I've read, this is probably a little different material, and it probably makes it more thocky. And the price is a little more than 20 bucks for 90 pieces, so I don't feel that bad if I wouldnt like them as much as I expected.
Just wanted to check if it is fine to buy switches on aliexpress, if it is okay that the bottom is black?
I've checked the seller and he seems to have lots of reviews and sold items.
u wanted 2 desks anyway, no?
so u could have 50x30 and 50x20
2 desks if they're less than 8ft, these are 8ft lengths.
ah i see
so much space for dirty dishes
it would also have to be assembled entirely within my office lol
give me $400k to build my dream house and done.
thats a lot of monopoly games i'd have to buy
no its just 1 nvm
sure give me a minute
i hope exporting monopoly money costs less than the pallets tho
Greed won all the time
When u have 400k u will want 4m, and so on
Its fine if you don't need super bright rgb effects
lots of different switches that come in all kinds of different housing colors or designs
Im thinking of getting the flydigi apex 4 but i heard the latency is kindaa bad though? Is it fixed or is it just there or should i get an 8bitdo instead
Ah okay thanks.
No budget besides not being unreasonably priced tbh, I can change key caps n stuff. And by orange I mean like the keys, the body can be white or something. Wired preferably, tyyy :3
alright, so basically we are looking at the best keyboard for you and put silent switches and orange keycaps in?
99% of boards have wired connection
so that shouldnt be a concern
I guess, I dunno what's good or anything, but nothing too high end, just a decent keyboard that's quiet. Gimme like 8 hrs tho I'm about to go home, I completely forgot what size keyboard, I think I have a 60% keyboard with a numpad but idk lol
Anyone with the LG 45 oled?
I really need a new work monitor and I think it's the only one I'd like
the most important things would be what size you want and if you want linear or tactile switches.
since you want silent anyway, stuff like sound profile wont really matter 😄
after that it would be more of a matter of finding what keyboards are cheapest in your region and what features in a keyboard are your personal preference (volume knob, gasket mount, metal case, software, etc.)
the best switches for gaming i guess, idk the size https://www.amazon.com/ENHANCE-Infiltrate-Hybrid-Mechanical-Keyboard/dp/B07DVZDN2K and i dont really care about any extra features, unless its like a spotify screen dashboard or something where i could skip songs while in game lmfao
Thats called full size or 100%
please shame it
No, all the shame. Shit should not exist anymore
call those topre specialists
the sun would collapse into a black hole before you understood topre isn't membrane
look at this ragebaitted discord user
third set of keycaps arrived
hello
WELL actually
topre isn’t membrane
Electrocapacitive
i hate this
oh god what is that middle layout
75%
what
it looks like a murdered fc980c
this is a very common layout
i have never seen a 75% like that
75% is very common but not That
literally every keyboard in the 40-90 range is a gasket mounted 75%
maybe i am crazy
oh i think i see why i find it weird
why are some mods different colours
noe cause the arrow keys aren’t spaced there
i think the mods threw me off
prevents misclicks to pg dn/shift
lowkey i don’t know if i like dedicated arrow keys or hhkb arrow keys
also no ones talking about the fact i have num 0 on my enter key at the bottom
how did both of you ignore that
why are all mx boards scuffed
where did the enter go
i didnt have an enter key
what
i have 2 broken ones
how do u even break keycaps
idk
Well you surely do
they cracked
how did you break urs
the stems
How
the blue keycaps are bottom of the barrel quality
why buy
and this yellow enter key i have has been used for like 4 years
Dude
4 entire keycaps
that is insane
ikr
membrane abs sets don’t break like dat
they were attack shark pbt doubleshot keycaps
20 fucking pounds
literal scam
this is why topre limited keycaps is good trust me
if you have a limited market then you’re forced to make better products
Boom
shut your topre ass up
to be honest i do legitimately like there being a low amount of topre keycaps available because you always know what you’re looking at if you see a set usually
and it’s like
Collecting is so much easier and fun
I feel like some of this guy's mistakes need to at some point be on him and not every company he interacts with
Pbt for the most part is pbt
If you're breaking keycaps left and right it's probably on you
ok sure
i didnt even press half the kyecaps that broke
the others i pressed rarely
generally wouldnt recommend attack shark keycaps
absolutely abysmal quality
Idk, there is a point where mistakes can be bad luck, and there is a point where it's just the person
My sister is a similar way. She doesn't know how to use anything so she calls me almost daily about something breaking
actually other then the yellow enter key
Each time I tell her it's her fault and to use things right
But she's less superstitious about it
She doesn't start attributing her mistakes to companies or colors
i mean
you say that as if they arent the only keycaps that have broken other then a different one
literally 4/5 keycaps ive broken in the last 12 years of using keyboards have been this set
therefor i dont want to recommend them
Probably improper use, you put them on a set of switches with an oversized stem, maybe bad luck, maybe improper storage, possibly just bad luck
But I doubt it's the color being cursed or something
It's just a dye
its probably just the random brand set i got for 10 off amazon
these aifei keycaps are pretty good ngl
they feel great
Are you arguijg with biooc again? How is it going 😅
good
I didnt expect to ever get that reaction
why is he a stupid person?
fr
I'm going to glue some topre domes to a plastic sheet
You can't stop me
Perhaps
Guys i need help for my keyboar/
My dell keyboard presses Space when i hit left arrow and same with reverse, Types 5 from the num pad when i hit backspace and it hits / when i hit enter
it happened to me like 3 months ago, i left it in a box or some months, and it worked fine. But now, it started again/
throw it away
2025
I have a question, does every single keyboard works on ps5 as long as it have usb dongle?
yeah
Hey guys is an LG UWQHD 85 hz monitor good for casual 1440p gaming?
best $150 wireless headset maybe some rgb cuz i like performance?
for $150 i’d say get a decent pair of headphones/iems and an external mic
or just get some moondrop chus for $20
also #audio-tech people are probably smarter
if you play a variety of games i wouldnt default to ultrawide and 85Hz
a lot of games dotn even have ultrawide support and u will get balck bars left and right.
others have support, but are far from optimized for it.
also ultrawides most often are quite overpriced.
if you want something 1440p but a little extra, whilst OLED is too expensive for you, i cant recommend miniLED enough.
its universally great for games and watching movies/videos. they cost about 300$/€
Yea Ik it’s just that I got it as a hand me down so it was technically free
thats awesome, for free noone can complain and you can see if you like ultrawide for future purchases
I do kind of dig having an ultrawide monitor because if I wanna have two windows open at once it would be a little bit bigger per window, if that makes sense
Here’s the link to the monitor I have: https://www.lg.com/us/monitors/lg-34wn750-b-ultrawide-monitor
certainly works if you only have one monitor
when buying new its actually cheaper to buy 2 monitors than 1 ultrawide and you would have more space
but again, its free, a decent solution and lets you explore a lot of things
Goodday,
I have an MSI Monitor, i reckon it's about ~3-4 years old at this point.
But I've had this issue for atleast 2 years now and it's bugging me more and more.
I've done several attempts of troubleshooting/diagnosing but have never been able to find what causes it.
I was wondering if anyone else has ever had this and how they fixed it, or if it's something with the board inside that wouldn't be worth fixing.
Usually have this on startup, and sometimes disapears when turning monitor on and off. Sometimes it just goes up and down like on the video for 10-15 minutes, other times it just takes up the whole screen and won't dissapear unless I turn it on/off. It's not the cable, I've moved/changed setups probably 3-4 times in this period and the issue remains.
buy a new monitor
Anyone here used the red dragon k617 magnetic switch keyboard? Looking for a new keyboard
buy a topre keyboard
How much are those?
ranges from like £70 (cheapest possible way to get a hhkb) to
well infinity i guess
realistically the most you’ll see someone spend on a topre keyboard is like £5000
but don’t expect to have to pay that much lol
oh ok thank you
dont buy topre
this mf is just number one rubber glazer
give him any thing with rubber domes from japan and he'll finish
yeah
literally just
"i personally like topre so this has to be universally true for everyone out there"
you personally like mx
you recommend it to people
i do not say this
is HDR supposed to be worse than SDR? i tested it in elden ring, rdr2, split fiction and exp 33, and SDR looks WAY better than HDR
what's your monitor?
MSI MPG 271QRX
did you do the HDR calibration tool from MS store
it makes a world of difference
HDR is a game changer, but it takes some setup
I personally never run SDR now
no problem
mxjdine is
can someone help me make sure I have everything I need for my custom keybaord and that its good? Also im p sure my keys r way too expensive does anyone know other options for gold and black?
https://kineticlabs.com/lube/krytox/205-grade-0
https://kbdfans.com/products/gmk-black-gold?variant=43094719037579 (Base) (Ik the key caps r rlly expensive but I cant find a cheaper pair that looks like them and I rlly like how they look, also 2 vendors cause the second set is out of stock at the first)
https://divinikey.com/products/gmk-black-and-gold-keycaps?variant=41983964545089 (Art Deco)
https://en.akkogear.com/product/v5-creamy-blue-pro-switch-lubed/ (90 pc)
not sure how good the cream blue pro v5s are
theres probably better out there
boba U4s maybe
are the switches like not consistent or smth?
I picked them cause i rlly like their sound
akko switches have chattering sometimes
my v3 cream blue pros have chattering on some switches
theyre more of a medium tactile
idk if you want a medium tactile though
for a light tactile id recommend the ktt matchas 100%
I listend to the ktt matchas
they sound too clacky for my prefrence
not thocky enough
foam will make most of the difference
the switch you use barely matters if your going for thock
as long as it isnt silent or clicky youll be fine
matchas definitely can be thocky though
k, is my base fine for thockyness?
yeah
id recommend the PC plate actually
for sound or sturdyness or both?
not really gmk are the gold standard (pun intended)
sound
k
ik that they're rlly good keys but i also dont wanna spend $200 on them 😭
but i cant find cheaper options
ill be typing a lot so thats good, ill prolly switch then
Npbt basics are perfectly fine if you can sacrifice the gold look
I cant sadly cause the rest of my setup is black and gold
so i gotta stay consistent
yeah with a more flexy plate youll bottom out and then the plate will go down a bit making it so it doesnt feel like pressing against a hard wall
for a cheap set you can go for these
you wont get much better below $50
id buy these and then save for gmk caps
k thx for the help
one last thing
do i have eberything i need
am I missing anything?
where should I get it from?
dude first build is having a gmk keycaps and NOVELTIES ?
this community is going so up
anyway
if you are still insists on those akko switches, you wont need lube because they are pre lubed
imo those sounds meh to me, since these days we have better alternatives
overall, good build !
Im gonna change the akko switches idk to what yet tho
thats js waht I wanted the look to be like i was searching for cheaper ones lmao
since u picked akko creamy blues u like those creamy sounds right
Switch: Keygeek Neo Oat
Keyboard: Qk65
Plate: POM
Keycaps: Singature Plastics SA-P
is fucking 100$ anyway
yes omg this sounds so good
100 vs 200 tho
what r the switches this uses?
keygeek oat
my pers to go for creamy foamboards though, doesnt have chance to build another one yet
I thought that was the youtubers name 😭
someone recommended I add a 1-2 mm foam in the keyboard
Neo x Keygeek Oat Switches are switches that come with the popular Qwertykeys Evo80 Keyboard. There were requests to get these switches sold separately so now you can experience these switches in your preferred build. Neo x Keygeek Oat Switches Feature: 18 included in each pack Linear Top Housing: PA6 Bottom Housing: P
this?
yes
k thx
buy the base kit only
thats still 120 + preorder
so ima js go w the etsy ones
Estimated Fulfillment time: 2-4 weeks Orders will be locked for fulfillment every 7 days. For example, orders placed between Dec. 27th and Jan. 2nd will be locked for fulfillment on Jan. 3rd. Orders will be fulfilled within 2 to 4 weeks once the batch is locked. Please note that the actual timing may vary depending on
thats the base im using
is that good + a 1-2mm foam?
well is up to you
gmk is the best braand in keycaps, like literally
and idek what brand that overpriced etsy cap it is
PE foam is ideal
he wants thock so 100x as much foam as stock
it was half the price bruh
it was half the quality too man
if he wants gmks then good but the set i said was perfectly fine
disagree
CannonKeys Rekt1800 Dark Green

mmmm
i kinda want to buy these
this foam
but i don’t have a spare £1200 except for this
is the neo80 foam enough?
yeah just go on aliexpress and buy a pe foam sheet for like $0.50
yeah but more foam is better
k
is time
???
keycult or car
goddman it dude
for a deep sound just load that shit up
silicone is also an option
for a deep sound just buy a chinesium prebuilt
bruh
that’s what he wants
anyway yeah KTT matchas would be my pick but something like boba U4s are good
spirng pings on those gazzews
just try whatever switch you want
find the cheapest set u want
no point spending over 30 quid for "nice pbt" keycaps
only pbt i trust are SA SP and OG cherries
and for your neo 80
choose pc/pom plate
or pp
dont
they will just break immediately
the cannonkeys pbt basics are absolutely worth it
That is prolly a scam right
Or rlly low quality
Do u think the link I js sent that those will break rlly quickly?
K bet that’s awesome
In a bit ima send a final list of parts r u fine if I ping u to take a look at them?
sure

https://kineticlabs.com/lube/krytox/205-grade-0
@young spoke
These r all of the parts
neo 80, the aliexpress foam sheet and keycaps, v5 creamt blue pro switches, and krytox lube
r they good?
also I did 2 mm for the foam, is 1mm better, and will it fit into my keyboard?
I can probably js use scissors to cut it down to the right size, right?
Don’t I need it?
Wait nvm the switches r preluded
yeah
Preluded
i thought you were lubing stabs
r the other stuff good?
but neo80 is pre lubed so idk
What r stabs?
yeah
stabilisers
depends
some barebones kits come with stabs and some don’t
iirc they usually will
yeah i think neo80 has stabilisers included in a barebones kit
stabilisers are included
youll need to lube them though
so get that tube of lube from here https://kineticlabs.com/lube/krytox/205-grade-0
all youll need to do is put in the stabilisers then squirt some lube into the wires when installed
pictures even have the steps
literally just do that once you install the stabs
Also where do I need to install stabilizers
no
Cause I thought it was w any key larger than regular but there’s more than 4 of those
Nvm idk where I saw 4
Mb
K bet
spacebar left/right shift (if right shift is full size) enter and backspace
Do I need multiple on the spacebar?
Like 1 on the right and one on the left?
nah just one
it’ll be the really long wire
and the housings are universal for all the stabiliser wires
lowkey mx has gotten too easy
too widely used
too common
exterminate the noobs
btw doesn’t have to be krytox or tribosys
printer lubes work as well. i started using 6020A instead of krytox
no that was just the link he send earlier
any syringe will be good
most of the time youll need a seperate syringe that you dip in a pot of lube
failure to gatekeep lowkey ruined mx
https://www.corsair.com/us/en/p/gaming-mouse/CH-9315411-NA/dark-core-rgb-pro-wireless-gaming-mouse-ch-9315411-na is this a good mouse? RIght at my budget of $100. I have a full palm grip with a hand size of about 7x4 inches
AND WORSE
ITS SO MUCH WORSE
can we go back to the days of vintage cherry mx blacks
objectively it has gotten better
and handwiring your own keyboard with a random plate and case you spent 5 years sourcing
no man it’s too normie
you can still do that
yes but you don’t have to
where’s the difficulty
some people want to invest time in something else than building a keyboard
yeah i get it
but also BORING
get a prebuilt membrane
you can still funny mod even the next-gen mx boards
although i hate linear
they’re lame
i hate modern mx
i mean most people are content with the upgrades to casing from plastic to aluminum/+brass/brass or such, lubed switches that are not scratchy, hotswappable pcb, so when your switch breaks you don’t have to desolder the switch or replace the whole board, pbt instead of abs keycaps that the gaming brands have been giving us on $100 keyboards brand new, more web and open source programs/software for keyboards, detachable cable - we take it for granted now but even some more expensive boards didn’t have that
i’d rather have less features / goodies
honestly
all of those things still existed back in the Good mx period
if it means cheaper price sure, but we live in capitasm 💀
but you had to work for them lol
capitalism is alright
sure but, companies want us to spend as much as possible on goods, (not exclusive to capitalism i just wanted to make a joke)
yeah, and it’s good they’re so accesible now no?
yeah and i Hateee it
too accessible
nothing is rare
everything is everywhere
there is 5000 metal tkls
yes but that’s good for the consumer, when stuff is serviceable like open source software, not having to throw away a keyboard when your cable or switch snaps/breaks
Kill the consumer
just keep backup switches
and solder on a new cable
and solder on a new switch
and write ur own software
unfortunately not everyone has the time and skill
i think playing with or contribution to the current software is more wise
there is nothing much wrong with qmk for example
I need one of those double monitor attachment things for my laptop but idk which one to get.
does anyone have any recommendations?
Mchose Ace 60 Pro (white topographic+ Ice Rhino Switches) or Akko monsgeek fun 60 pro (white+ glare switches)?
both are shit
skill issue
i had multiple pbt keycap set
low quality, of course
none broken
Then what do u recommend in this budget?
I used a basic 30$ (mechanical outemu blue switches) keeb for 3 years. It would be still working if it was hot swappable 😢
which budget
rugpull a meme coin and get 150 dollars from it and buy a hhkb
I don't have a large enough audience to do a rugpull

I was better without these advices ig
to anger everyone here that loves topre i say that i agree witht his statement
0/10 ragebait ( i dont have a topre)
yes, i never owned topre, but i tried it at friend’s place that has bigger collection than my slop boards
the thing with topre is u gotta get used to it
like from switching to 55g domes to 30g domes for example even within topre
it takes a while to get used to
im ready for the switch
as soon as u gonna send me one
Nope probably this https://www.elitekeyboards.com/product-page/topre-realforce-keychain

Dell Alienware AW2725DF
MSI MAG 271QPX (slightly over 600 but QD-OLED)
anyways is the logitech mk220 with a mouse good at all for a sub 20 gbp keyboard and mouse
Is the aula f65 pro a good keyboard for gaming?
I just got a Steel Series Arctis Pro Wireless headset - anyone have any experience with WickedCushions - worth the upgrade?
Yea sure if you like thicker cushions
tho I have to point out the eerie similarity to products from brainwavz audio
your better off with a HE board
mechanical boards are better generally though
HE boards are just better because custom actuations
Yea I only use mechanical boards
Os the aula good for nah? I’m using a Redragon Dragonborn rn
do you know which is good
a dune 65
with gmk key7caps
Damn, that's a good policy
I got a good option for a new mic but I would like some other options anyone recommend any microphones for around 300 dollars?
New geeborf and hamster
geeborf sound (I fucking love it)
Dareu EK75 Pro Sakura with cloud switches
meant to be keyboard i think
Sad It’s Not Topre…
do you have a topre mouse
guy probably changes every button on the dishwasher and stuff to topre
not the rm1
Yet.
i probably wont get it for real because i really value the click of a mosue
you know topre do provide cooling solutions
topre air con
when will u send me a topre
either that or clackinator aight
how is that an answer
Because I said so, ofcourse
huano silent is the same thing

some guy made a hotswap mx pcb for his microwave once
do you have any tips for a 650$ build https://pcpartpicker.com/list/TLfxv4
Part List - AMD Ryzen 5 5500, GeForce RTX 3060 12GB, Montech XR ATX Mid Tower
topre make switches for atms and stuff
spend it all on a topre board
It’d 800$
ah sorry probably sale prices
There’s the 280hz option
Oh it’s 582 on Amazon
Is there something similar on Newegg
That’s where I gatta buy a monitor bc of my gift card balance
whats a good budget keyboard
Depends on the budget
For some thats 30 bucks
For the elitists among us 150 is still budget
like barely any money budget
logitech
what country do you live in?
Hey guys, i wanted some recommendations for a mouse around 50 euro
I saw some razer ones that were on sale from 80 to 50
mow a lawn
darmoshark m3s pro wireless is really good
u should be able to get it for cheap
150 is so budget
it depends on your preferred grip style, hand size (measure it), loud/quiet + clicky/spammable clicks
i would look for mouses that have said to have good rubberized coating, unless you like more bare plastic, slippery feeling like lego, skates that glide and glide properly, mouses that have less switch grinding cases, no creaking, no pre-travel on clicks and ideally less post-travel, no sensor rattle, no squishy/mushy scroll wheel, ideally paw 3370/3395 sensor which can be nowadays gotten for like $20
i would probably get something else nowadays, darmoshark m3 series does have some possible minor qc issues - casing creaking (common), a bit of switch grinding (also common) and mushy scroll wheels i’ve had on one unit which was also fixable
attack shark x3
like €30
what keycap profile work with the aula f65 pro?
everything? its up to your finger liking
Atk x1 would be my pick
Stop recommending attack shark mice. They suck
what why
any keycaps with a cross pattern stem
QC issues
Other Chinese manufacturers just have them beaten
what should i recommend them
ATK or mchose around the 50 mark
fair
Under 100 like hyperlight or something from scyrox
mchose good
Swapping my keys on my custom keyboard
what too
I was rocking glorious linx switches for a while im using reds now to mix it up.
nice
oem hipro
OEM profile 🥀
hipro profile
I swear to god if this is topre
it’s topre
or highly related to - i don’t know the origins of hipro layout but i’ve only seen it with topre boards
it looks like one of the 50 short-SA profiles
what is short SA
just SA but they make it shorter
among other things
it’s actually tall
it looks shorter than SA
Thats why I say it
it’s high compared to oem
wow i hate that
Wtf it looks basically the same
it’s very different
talking about oem my Oem profile realforce r1 87usd 10th is coming tomorrow
yeah the difference I see is the edges are weirdly shaped like when I make a mistake with my constraints in fusion 360
bro uses fusion 360
and you don't use anything because you can't afford software after buying all your topre keyboards :/
ass profile
2 things i dont like
the weird surface shape
the corners are too round i need sharp regular corners
and the font looks goofy
piracy
I didn’t think my Corsair k60 rgb mini was bad
Until I got my new keyboard
and this one was the same price
dareu ek75pro btw
it’s not ass, some people prefer the profile
would cease to exist if there was 0 demand for it
there is no most perfect single profile so additional keycap profiles are welcome
thats your qk duo ?
Yeh
i will never understand rounded edges on a keycap
they feel and terrible terrible
lovely
ok dude, is time for you to go on aliexpress and buy your next pbt cherry profile set...
I love my nuphy mSA profile keycaps so I can see why those would be nice too
NuPhy’s first high-profile double-shot PBT keycap set is ready, with small tweaks like SA height adjustment for ergonomics, larger round surface, and symmetric design inspired by nSA. Notably, the light emitting homing bars, illuminated by south-facing LEDs, provide subtle guidance without distractive.
i have a bunch of keycaps in a buncha profiles, but mostly universal ones
coz i have a buncha 40s and splits
Is it worth 50 dollars to go from a normal IPS monitor to an "HDR10" monitor?
I get the feeling HDR10 is something you can put on almost any monitor and call it a day, with no effort, and no actual difference
Do you want to ensure the torture that is getting HDR to work correctly on Windows?
I'm fine with that. I also have some Blu-ray players
I don't know a whole lot about monitors but I think most computer monitors, even advertising HDR10, don't really have enough brightness to get a good HDR experience
This. If it's not at least Display HDR1000, it's not going to be an amazing experience. https://displayhdr.org/
That's what i was thinking. I'll check the model numbers when i go next. I need to bring a power cable so i can test them before i make the effort of carrying it home in case the panel is broke
I think this was the model. How TF this monitor supposed to be hdr if the gamut is only 95%...
Does it help if i work nights and my computer area is purposefully darkened?
It only needs to be a minimum Gamut as per the site I linked above. Something something marketing.
Personally, I wouldn't get that monitor just for HDR alone. At the right price, it's an acceptable 1440p 144Hz monitor, but it's a VA panel and doesn't really have the specs to do HDR properly.
The LG 32GN600-B is alright for HDR. It displays deep blacks in dark rooms thanks to its high native contrast ratio, but it doesn't have a local dimming feature to further improve it. Unfortunately, it can't display the wide range of colors needed for HDR, and it has low peak brightness, so colors and highlights look dull and muted.
https://www.rtings.com/monitor/reviews/lg/32gn600-b
Cool. Thanks
I really should have made a note of all the monitors. There were several from 2020 or later
I already have a "decent"(to me...im not that good at seeing) UHD and 144Hz monitor(that I keep at 120Hz because of what I can best describe as paranoia). So there's not much I can gain
does anyone know what monitor is this
The person who took the picture probably does...
lol
Lenovo G27q-20 27.0" 2560 x 1440 165 Hz Monitor vs. Lenovo G27q-20 27.0" 2560 x 1440 165 Hz Monitor vs. Lenovo G27q-30 27.0" 2560 x 1440 165 Hz Monitor
This one lists a HDR compatability...and the box says "HDR"
looks like a 30 to me
G27q-30
All you had to do was read the box. The model number was on the box
seems like lenovo g27-30 series
^ that above lol
I disagree(this is a joke)
read the box
dude i cannot read that
😭
Ironically, if you zoom in too much you cant read it...but at the right size...you can read the numbers
It helps we know it's a g27q
idk might
Are there any monitors that go up to 16 bit? or is 10-bit the best we're gonna get?
I think the highest is 12
But the difference from 8 to 10 is minimal
I am still amazed my 600$ laptop came with a 6 bit display
pretty good unless everythign besided CPU and GPU is cheaped out on
-the PSU and case should have headroom for future upgrades
-the ram should be 32GB and not too slow (3200 MT/s CL16 would be already very good)
-the CPU cooler should not be an amd stock cooler
if at least 2 of those 3 apply you have a very good deal.
if its none of them its still fine, but will cost you a bit to get e.g. a new cooler when u upgrade CPU or have to get a new PSU to fit a better GPU
and if the mnotherboard has PCIE gen 4 thats an extra bonus , especially if case and PSU allow for future upgrades.
the new cards perform basically identical in most games at PCIE gen 4 and 5 (especially when overclocked) but if you ever go to something like a 9070XT or 5080 on PCIE gen 3 it can in some games reduce performance by 15-25% (but again thats just some games, in at least 50% of games it makes 0 difference. but its still neat so you dont need to worry about it
i like rounded edges on keycaps
I found it used a year ago
feels horrible imo
i feel like ive found my perfect switch
an akko v3 cream blue pro with a 45g spring
actually its a 47g spring
ripped out of a homoo sea salt silent
id call it a akko v3 cream blue light
a lot lighter bump
Doesnt answer the question, but this is also the wrong channel.
wow this server isnt as much of a shithole like ztt peripheral wise
But there are still some bad takes there and here
No point for me to try and advice here seeing familiar faces (aka people who actually know what theyre doing)
none actually
suprise suprise
dang
if i bought them at flipper pricing it’d be like 1100 though
-both boards combined
bro really likes the goofy ahh blue black aesthetic
i am a fan of 10th anniversary colours
also isn’t that the board you were gonna use the box for the gmk67
“i don’t have an addiction i swear”
yeah but i need to remove the ink from it
nah it’s fine
unless it’s covered if it’s a small spot i really don’t care
i’m also buying a “gamakey rgb keyboard”
those are akko rose red switches
can u stop buying budget plz
save up for good keyboard
Then you make me afraid but unsurprised about ztt
🧌
i put concrete into a keyboard
apple users: favorite wireless mouse/keyboard combo? currently using logitech at the moment
is Magic Mouse worth it?
out of curoisity what do you guys think monitors will be like in the next 3 years
what will be the endgame monitors by then
will resolutions above 4k become more populour ? , will we get 700 800 900+ refresh rates?
will micro led become a thing?
no
i use an ak820 pro with a m913
having like 13 extra buttons on your mouse is just plain useful for shit like video or photo editing
you’d have to buy mac based keycaps for the ak820 though
Something's wrong with your keyboard. You got scammed. The seller didn't give you a num pad...
numpads are useless
there i said it
not once have i used a numpad even when i had a numpad on my keyboard
literally over a year of owning a full size board i didn’t the numpad a single time
hhkb
if i really wanted a numpad i would buy a 23u
unfortunately though
23u? How tall is that?
what
You've never seen a keyboard tray for a rack?
assuming ur the latter u for realforce means how many keys it has (and also on every other board how big the keycap is)
the 23u has 23 keys
and a 6u spacebar is 6 units long
so 6 regular alpha / letter keys
Okay
23 keys isn't even all 26 letters. Like a stenograph?
the 23u is a numpad
So...16 plus...7?
yes
Cool. Know a good brand?
realforce or hhkb
or leopold c line
Must Shill.
Shill away. I'll check them out when iget home. I'm getting groceries.
Awww. I just looked up 23u...its not 16 numbers...
Oh well
Needs more appropriate keys, like a ff or 255 key. And a 00 key
Yeah, i just said that
bro has it all
Can someone recommend a shop for low profile Keyboards with German Layouts?:)
if you set system keyboard to german then any ISO keyboard should work
go wild with what ISO board you pic otherwise
you also might want german specific ISO keycaps
i’m not too sure about those though
Was meant the Keycaps sorry. My Keyboard that Im using currently had usa Layout and I needed to switch them out since the confusion was a bit too much.
I would like to stay with an customizable Keyboard but Im so used to low Profile because of work that the mechanic keyboard is just too tall
bro does not do arithmetic
I just keep a cheap wireless membrane numpad on my desk for now
just got a nuphy air 60 that i set up to pair with the pulsar anniversary edition x2f mouse whenever that shows up
I got the steelseries earox 3 wireless mouse its an absolute W (if you get the 2022 ed)
no
i didn’t even know what num lock did for a couple months
sorry for your loss

didn't one of the dome manus go down
@fervent breach might skip on the gmk67
unless you can assure the £10 price then i already have a board for that

Okay\
