needs to be on the quiet side, HE and 75%-100%
and software that is at least equal to via
thats basically all the options that are available
I would just straight up recommend not getting he, but there are tons of he options outside of the bestbuy bulletin brands
(not even filtered for loudness btw)
name one
I'd say ask on a mouse discord if you want he though
They're the ones that are usually gimmick obsessed enough to follow he
name a keyboard pls
But there are some he keyboards on par with like neo 65 tier quality
Again, not my monkeys. I'd say ask the people who follow gimmick boards. I follow mecha, but I'm in enough servers to know there are a ton of he options and even in he space wooting is a joke
sadly the 80HE is the cheapest one that meets the requirements
turtle beach is ok but definitely louder
It isn't
and even the 80HE is louder than i would have wished for but with a bit of modding i got it quite ok
You're just limiting the range of what you're looking at to mainstream garbage
im not
Like my earlier analogy
If I buy an overpriced car it's not the best value just because I choose to compare it to equally overpriced stuff
i spent at least 50 hours watching reviews
Go on a discord that focuses on he boards
of the most niche kickstarter boards
Go on pwnage discord
Or budget keybs
They have plenty of people who are he obsessed
R/keyboards is a meme
It's kids who don't know better and will ban you for not getting what they said to get
It's the tip of the ice berg in knowledge
They unironically recommend keychrons as the best keyboards and spam rec newbies who won't lube switches cherry switches
They also view lubing switches as a bad thing that is unnecessary and evil
It's like aggressively bad info
i tried finding something for a year now and im literally in contact with multiple manufacturers
epomaker and mchose for example are literally in contact with german retailers in order to get their keyboards in iso de layout in shops and im the middle man.
i have been through a lot of things and im that convinced i give anyone 100€ if u find me something better
feel free to tag me with a link where i can order something that is cheaper and beter than the wooting for my use case
until then, im out
also i'd be glad to buy from anyone besides wooting.
that company can eat my ass
im returing the one i bought and went back to my old one already
Looking for a numpad, ideally I'd get it from the same company as the 80% I'm planning on getting so they match, but as far as I've been able to tell the only two companies I've seen with both are Keychron and 8BitDo.
Does anyone know of other companies to consider?
eh I mean there's like a gazillion num-pads or macro-pads, personal preference is something with QMK and a few knobs for volume or scrubbing type stuff, but so long as has switches/keycaps you can tolerate and whatever features you want there are lots of options though
The list for QMK keyboards is too long and github just cuts it off at a 1000 :), lots of those are companies with sub-folders for actual products:
https://github.com/qmk/qmk_firmware/tree/master/keyboards
Granted some are more or less "complete" or "DIY/projects" but even if just searching for numpad or macropads there's a lot of em out there just depends on what you want from it and cost etc.
I'm looking for the "standard" layout like that section on a full keyboard since I'll mainly be using it as a numpad, and any macros I use would be secondary. It's for work, and given my job I don't think I'd have any use for more than 1 knob (but even then 90% of the time I can change the volume for teams/zoom meetings fine enough via function keys)
I'd just look up 19-key or 22-key QMK/VIA compatible options and then see which one you like in terms of switches or ability to swap em and/or aesthetics and wired/wireless etc.
get a tiger lite gaming
I remember when Icemats were all the rage in 2002
Yo guys, I just picked up a second hand monitor (HP 25F) I don't have the original power unit (19v) but I have a 24v one, is it okay to use that until I buy a replacement?
No.
What would happen if I did?
try
Was wondering if i could get some help on which keyboard to get i am between the wooting 80 he or the keychron k8 he i am wondering between software because i have never had a he keyboard
from my experience with wooting i can only recommend to stay away from that brand.
currently the only question is if the issue can be solved with just the consumer protection agency or if im legit going to court over a damn keyboard
if everything goes right you have an overpriced keyboard (which almost all HE keyboards are, besides some very hceap ones that also make a LOT of compromises
if not, they dont cover refund shipping costs and even outright lie to trick you into making the wrong decision and then later claim it was just a misunderstanding.
my keyboard for example was listed as in stock, got delayed by almost 2 months, they offered me a gift card to make up for it and then just said it was a misunderstanding and they didnt offer me a gift card despite the conversation being in emails and therefor very easy to proof.
made68
wooting is
ehh
overrated
Why mot the keychron
why do people have coiled cords on their keyboards? (im trying to justify buying it lol)
purely for looks, reels, shorts, tiktoks, whatever the newest brainrot platform is today
back in the old days it's a space saver way to get more cable length
I sit like 6 miles away from my pc so that might be handy tbh
it also doesnt help that the docks for everything are on the bottom of my case since its designed to be on the table...
Yea, which is the practical use
Do that today and the keyboard-fluencers will approach your house quickly for de-coiling the cable xd
aw hell yeah, so I can steal their switches when they are not looking
Im just getting into custom keyboards since the keyboard I have is a membrane that came with my old prebuilt, the case is cracked and its dusty af but its still kicking
after almost 9 years of service lol
My way of using is get a solid (not best) base board and then swap the switches, keycaps around till the base die or something
or it could just me having exceptional impulse control
- no money
oh and for the switches, do you think those keyboard switch tester packs are good?
I tried a mechanical keyboard one time and I hated it, it was WAY too loud
I heard blue switches are loud like that and I should try other ones
Not really. You get to try out 1 switch with your finger, on a rig just to hold them together. It is not indicative of your whole 10 fingers typing, or how it will sound on your particular keyboard base with your particular keycap on your particular desk
I guess it's more to let you know in comparisons to the other included switch, how it stacks up in terms of feel
I will say that, unless you get switches that are advertised as "silent", the 3 main type of switches will sound louder than say your laptop keyboard, or the cheap keyboard that comes for free from dell for their optiplex for example
yeah I saw this one being advertized by hipyo tech that costs 18$, it compares 9 switches and Im tempted to buy it just to see what type of switch is best
and it isnt that big of an investment if I realize I just dont like mechanical keyboards
which one?
thats fair, I dont really want to fully commit 40$ on a keyboard I might not like but if I change out the switches then it might be a good investment
I saw microcenter had some keyboards lined up but never really tested them, I think I can go and test switches out there too (although none of them had the keycaps on and the ones that did were behind the counter)
k serires is the worst keychrons
You could ask staff where or if you can demo them for a bit. I think this is a more realistic way to determine your preference.
you wont find anything good there, i suppose
by the way can someone help
also ask them specifically for silent mechanical keyboards, if they have some.
the other big 3 types: linear, tactile and clicky are available basically everywhere.
Tho from what you said earlier, you will probably not gonna like clicky because blue switches from most brands is a clicky switch
they are designed to specifically made an audible click sound when pressed
yeah, as much as I enjoyed the feel, not so much how my parents opened the door telling me to stop using the keyboard xD
the clicky part also affects the tactility because theres a sleeve that makes the click
Which ISP? steam being blocked feels like an ISP roulette for me.
$50 per unit switches when?
Were they endgame?
Or a bar
(better)
no
and there is just no way to find what's "endgame" in this oversaturated market of mx linear/tactile/clicky/he switches
and better may come
Endgame for yourself, not in general lol
yes, it’s preference but in the most part what you want in a switch is lack of scratchiness, wobble for example
people who use cherries in general like their scratchiness lol
there is likely no toher reason than that for anyone to use cherries
Buy v series
realforce is better
v3 max
Irok mg75
Or bridge75, inky75, womier sk71 pro, sk75
If out of budget or reach look up xianyu/taobao or aliexpress boards
U are back
Lol
hey chat.
i want to hook up my old keyboard to my PC alongside my new one
and use the new one normally, and have the old one be used for macros on premiere, AE, etc.
how can i do that?
so u want ur old one to use as a macro board ?
basically yeah
What do you all think of the ASUS ROG Strix XG49WCR?
currently running a dual 27' montior setup, one is a AOC 1440p, and the other is a MSI 1080p. Both are 180hz and IPS
Worried about the VA panel
Only reason Im considering is bcs some is selling one for less than 500usd
What mouse would you guys recommend? I was told Logitech G Pro X SL 2, Pulsar Xlite V3, or Razer Cobra Pro
Pulsar
VA in 2025 isnt VA in 2010 anymore.
at least when it comes to ghosting and response time.
as a certain youtube channel out there, VA has some absolute stinkers still, but so does IPS
a decent VA vs a decent IPS will have better contrast for the VA giving you a better picture, as long as you are not viewing drastically from the side, e.g. a TV in the living room when you are watchign with 4 ppl.
but in general, as long as you are in fornt of the monitor you shouldnt have issues.
im currently on the KTC M27T20S and there is 0 ghosting and i have to be ~30cm next to the monitor at 1m distance to get this glow that u get when you are off angle. with my IPS thats about 50-60cm at the same disctance, so its not a miracle solution (granted my IPS is lower quality, but dont expect drastically different results)
since your monitor has a slight curve to it, there shouldnt be issues, just dont expect the HDR to be usable, sicne its pure software HDR but since it doesnt have local dimming or OLED, it cant actually put out an HDR image and it will just look like standard SDR with a filter that struggles with very dark and very bright scnes/colours
definitely watch a review or go to RTINGS for real world response times and colour calibration
I gave up on HDR on anything that isnt mini LED or oled, so not really worried about that
As long as I get accurate colours Im content
for that reviews that actually have that exact model are the best source and you should always watch 1 before buying
if tghere is absolutely none, RTINGS can do the trick
Found one that was in german/dutch
perfect
if you are happy witht the results and dual QHD is a good resolution for you, no reason not to take it

Anyone have recommendations for durable mousepads/deskmats? I don’t care that much about “mouse feel” (as long as it’s not comically terrible)
if u like hard mousepads, roccat alumic
got mine for 12+ years now and its exactly like day 1, which makes it a great thing to buy used
there probably are very similar successors from different brands that are just as good
u basically get a lot of the benefits from glass mousepads withoujt it wearing down your mouseskates within minutes or the necessity to have arm sleeves
and its fairly cheap as well
i dotn have a lot of products where i never had buyers remorse or some doubts i made the wrong choice, this is one of the few things i didnt have that and im 100% happy and confident with.
any recommendations for headsets for 40-50 euro? and no, i dont want earbuds or iems
I've only tried the blackshark v2x and hyperx cloud core
the v2x being the only modern/commonly available option
I tried blacksharks once and returned them within 24 hours because of how terrible they sounded lmfao
i dont really know what to choose honestly
Thank god I learned arabic 😂
well thats fortunate 😄
however, youtube auto translate is perfectly fine to just get information out of a video
it surely takes some joy out of entertaining content, but for educational stuff and getting some infos, its basically like reading an article with itnegrated videos
God damnit its in farsi😂
Auto translate it is😂
npnp 😊
anything made from cordura would be the most durable
is headphones + mic an option?
well with mic there are like jbl tune series and max5c
i would not get blackshark v2x nor hyperx
maybe, big maybe g435 or g535, nova 1, 5 the rest of the gamery headphones are not worth it
i chose the g435 seems the best for my buck, thanks!
are you sure, that's the ones i suggest as last resort if you can't buy from brands that are actually more quality audio focused
Yep, my options would be g435, nova 1, hyperx cloud stinger 2 core, and i see they are pretty similar, exept that the g435 are wireless, and i dont really use a mic that much, so yeah, i dont mind the worse mic
no mic requirement? he400se perhaps
from aliexpress
I would like a mic, for time to time, but i will not use it that often
Only for some games with vc
Which are few
Any mic will do, better then setting your phone as a mic
As i used to do
can always buy incable mic or dedicated
True, but right now i have a small table, and dont plan to do voice recording or anything, not to mention that i couldnt find anything without a mic
ASUS 27" ROG Strix XG27UCDMG OLED 4K 240 Hz worth getting? On sale at 980 dollars (converted from SEK)
im thinking of buying the asus rog strix scope ii 96 keyboard, its on sale for about $140
thoughts?
I’m getting an m1 keyboard, is astrolink or glare better for the switches? What’s the diff?
What m1 keyboard
monsgeek m1 prbl
my thoughts is those are terrible keyboard
Oh but it doesn't have switch options with those names
Wait
i found it
horrendous price
you’re paying 50% premium to asus
just so you know
there is nothing special about the keyboard imo unless you like the branding and software for some reason…
or does the keyboard have your preferred launguage?
any mice in a style like my old case (dont mind the spam grips)
hey guys currently wanting to buy a monitor I'm tossing up whether to get the 27GS75Q-B (50 dollars cheaper) or the M27QA-AU. Which is better?
razer boomslang
Hi, I'm from Israel and looking for new headphones
Prefer them to be wireless but can be used as wired too (to reduce the 30-50ms delay when playing)
I thought about the razer blackshark hyperspeed but I saw it doesn't use the usual 7.1 surrounding system.
I'm messing a lot with music (tho my main use is competitive gaming) and I need someone with a good sound & surround quality 👍🏻
My budget is about 120$
Right now I'm using the razer kraken pro v2, they sound better than almost anything I've tired yet but it's starting to wear out
there's no such thing as a 7.1 surround thing with headphones, that's just marketing bs
hyperx
i heard those are good
So I wouldn't recommend looking for that label
I ordered the more expensive switches
Did I get scammed
170 I paid total
So after shipping and everything
Shipping was 20 bucks 😭
Why not? It seems doable just wear a soundbar /srs
Wdym
I dont really know the worths in the HE world
Magnetic switches
Idk
Hope for the best ig
i would call 190 total for a mosngeek is a clown buy
It was 170 total
Oh what would you have gone for
tiger lite gaming HE
made 68
or i will just buy a venom he pcb and either a cheap case in aliexpress or tofu redux
all of those options is imiliar in price with that monsgeek
i never praised HE keyboards, since only a very minority part of gamer will benefit from them
us till have time to reconsider
I’m lazy
And dumb
So completely making a custom keyboard is a bit of a task for me
made68 is a prebuilt
however i tried my friend akko YOTD HE 75% keyboard thing
it was ehh
yeah overpriced, where other provided other options
I have this
fucking hate how it's built
not the HE version but the tofix
If you want a real budget HE board, just go Mchose ACE60 and do a transfer to a nicer case + better caps
Eitherway monsgeek M1 HE for 170 fully built is still a better buy than wooting
yeah 100 bucks more
the gasket socks on it sucks mega balls
and there's like bajillion screws holding it together
- you can't just swap switches together, you need to full rebuild the board everytime as there's a high chance that the PCB would pop out
but hey it's 80$ for a barebone HE board and 50 for MX board
i heard no complains so fair
i cant see who use classic tkl in my area or community just yet
since it is less accesiblity than the transition lite
Realforce is better
really? you think so?
yes
how
the only other option i found was like the keychron v5 max, its like 130 but on sale now for 100
but i dont like the keycaps and i havent tried it so i dont know if ill like it
the asus keyboard isnt garbage it sounded good
idk if youve watched a sound test
V5 max is decent for 100
im in sweden btw so iso nordic layout
otherwise i wouldve bought something off aliexpress
but its impossible to find there
iso nordic is just normal iso no?
i guess
The fully assembled version includes: ABS plastic housing The keyboard PCB, screw-in stabs, and the steel plate OSA profile ABS shine-through keycaps (including Mac & Windows keycaps) Keychron K Pro switches No discount codes can be used for V5. on sale for 75
i dont get why the blue keycaps
You can just buy your own 🤷♀️
I rarely use stock caps
for eaxmple, I used the stock cap and switches for this board
AKC087
it's legitimately great OOB
bit pingy but oh well
bettẻ than the rog, keycaps can be changed
what the hell is this haha
i looked at a sound test and it didnt sound as nice imo
up to you, is my opinion
both looks nice at first, however which will last longer and dont wear out so fast
some fuck ass TKL
it's SS plates "stacked" together
really really heavy, metalic and pingy but overall sweeet board
and it's trimode too lmao
sounds like a modern cherry g board
what keyboard
if u ffoamed it and still sounds bad to your ears is time or a new keyboard
is a keychron prebuilt it cant make "really good" sounds
guys someone’s selling an ewaste tier kb
might buy it and try to mod it
it’s using mx browns lmao
probably, reliable asf
u just have to shove 23897219837 foams in it
those are less than $20 on aliexpress
i bought one once it was actually ok for the price
i’ll stuff it with some packaging foam from my other board
i’m going to haggle down to £10
they will need to payme 10 to pick that shit up
anyway, goodluck
he also lives literally a 2 minute walk away so why waste the effort on aliexpress when i can just go pick it up
u mean pe foam
well those re for between the switch and pcb
no just some packaging foam
i’ll probably put some switches i have sitting around in it and some packaging foam
maybe some new keycaps but not really necessary
it’s not that hard
what keyboard is it
a lot of boards i know just have like 5 screws
I forgot to ask this question the other day but do people not recommending Wired mouse’s anymore? I asked for recommendations and all of them were wireless
most good mice (except ones from endgame gear) are wireless now.
I was told by people who have owned wireless mice that they degrade faster and have higher input latency. Is this still true
the battery life gets worse over time but the battery can be replaced. but performance wise they are pretty much indistinguishable between wired mice. plus you dont have to worry about a wire causing drag
fire but holy $150 is mad
And if wanted can’t you just plug your wireless mouse into your pc? Say when the battery degrades
I was also told the wireless capability degrades. Don’t know if it’s actually true
you could but a replacement battery is like less than 10 bucks
no.
Is the battery difficult to replace generally?
unscrew a few screws. unplug old one. plug in new one.
can always youtube it too
Alright thanks
nah only the battery does
wouldn’t worry though tbf
So I asked yesterday which mouse would be better between the PRO X SUPERLIGHT 2 DEX and Pulsar Xlite v4. I was told the Pulsar but is that due to it being cheaper or the mouse actually being better. I am receiving the mouse as a gift so I’m trying to get my use out of it
dont get a logitech mouse.
Bad quality?
for the price yes.

What budget mechanical keyboard would y'all recommend under $75 65%, 70% or 75%
is neo65 good?
has all the features i want for a decent price
specifically
-qmk/via
-2.4ghz
-metal case
-hotswap
-65% non-exploded
now just need to find switches and keycaps
i want really basic keycaps
black side printed pbt
cant seem to find any
wdym for what? cuz they look cool?
what sound u want the board to give out
creamy
current board is mx browns but is 8 years old and heavily used so the tactility is extremely light now
never got any idea for creamy neo65 before
cant find anything that would be similar other than just desoldering and moving the switches over
u want a good bump tactile ?
light tactile
which from what i can tell isnt really a thing
other than mx browns themselves
is a thing
but since u said u want linears
keygeek oat
is a creamy switch
thoughts—
hi!
the keygeek oat switches came with the evo80 and it looks like their starting to go on sale as a stand alone switch at a few vendors. they feature a milky pa66 nylon housing and l4 pom blended stem with a spherical stem pole tip and fairly light 45g spring.
in the evo80 all the foams really muffle the true sound of these switc...
v3 cream yellow looks decent
those akko ?
yeah but cant keep up with newer switches these days
in term of sounds and quality
akko yeah
plus if u want a "creamy" build neo65 might not be your thing
it just loud asf
clack
creamy is something liek this
Weikav Lucky65 V2 mechanical keyboard (https://s.click.aliexpress.com/e/_DlW3q73)
KeyGeek x Neo Oat linear switches (https://unikeyboards.com/products/neo-x-keygeek-oat-linear-switch-factory-lubed-edition-10pcs?sca_ref=6156114.kBvRNNuMZc) - use code Jur1cek for 7% OFF
Cherry profile Dye-Sub PBT keycaps (Coffee Shop) https://kineticlabs.com/keyc...
is this the thing you are looking for ?
is neo65 better for clacky?
clacky and creamy sounds somewhat similar to me
thocky is very distinct
yeah
seems to not be that many options for clacky linears
why the fuck can i only find gateron switches in 110 or 30 packs here
i like the sound of baby kangaroo 2.0s
try milktooth
i live in australia
shipping is 30 usd
72 for 71.28 aud on amazon is the best i can find
what is the best plate for tactiles
dont think it matters whether linear vs tactile, just the feel you want
softer plates are pretty popular
but you have to try it to know
ill try and find a video comparing plates with tactiles
u want stiff like thiose steel plate or bouncy
stiffness affects feel when typing not just noise right?
i like the harsh bottom out
dont want it to be cushioned
theres no brass option so would alu be best then?
there is a brass plate on ali express i guess i could buy it plateless and get that
alu/cf
i found a brass plate on ali express
plateless is loud too
i might buy it plateless and then get the brass plate if i dont like the sound
neo65 tri mode + baby kangaroo 2.0 + this keycap set is what im looking at atm
Compatible with all Cherry MX switches, they come in OSA profile and feature double shot legends for added durability, adding some flair to your setup with these double-shot PBT keycaps. This Keychron full set keycap set has all the keycaps you needed for the ANSI layout Q0, Q1, Q2, Q3, Q4, Q5, Q6, Q7, Q9, K2, K2 Pro, K4, K6, K6 Pro, K8, K8 Pro,...
idk how to check keycap compatability for width on keys
plateless you know
is should only for soldered pcb
if u buy hotswap then
yeah im gonna get tri-mode hot swap
just buy dcs blanks
keychron cap is ass
i dont want blank i want side printed
is overpriced
i dont recall any side printed keycaps which are good in terms of sound
u are talking about gmk's right
ok but thats way too expensive not paying that much for keycaps
are ducky keycaps good?
@worldly garden
no
aliexpress then
ndn/aifei
those wont be more than 40
is there really nothing worth buying between ali express and 100+ usd?
What about a newer death adder? Looking at reviews the pulsar can be a bit small for people with larger hands. My hands already are little big for the deathadder can’t imagine a smaller mouse.
just look for what you want
and i will give you my opinion
ePBT sniper i like that
has the short right shift i need for a 65%
DESCRIPTION Take cover! Designed around Raravin's original character - Sara. Take aim through your sight and pull the trigger on this ePBT offering. Taking the colours that make Sara who she is - the cyan hair and her army green jumpsuit - and placing them on the cool white blank canvas in a classic mod/alpha split. Th
shipping is reasonable too only 11.30
most modern sets will offer that
you are in AUS rightr
yeah
1.75U right shift is the only different key between 65% and full size right?
ignoring the keys 65% doesnt have obviously
so limited selection from aussie shops
the retailers with a lot of options you get absolutely fucked on shipping
jtk is mid
the long ass name switches finally arrived
akko v3 cream blue pro
who the fuck names this
(the other ones are the stock gift switches on my ak820 pro)
i’m suprised they’re quieter then the gift switches i can feel when it’s actuated meaning i don’t have to bottom out to actually register it in my mind
Why do monsgeek drivers either support their driver or VIA
How come they never support both
i just swapped the stem of a gift into a cream blue pro and made it linear lmao
first switch mod
feels like a gift but has a quieter bottom out
When does it become a problem?
better give me one
you have like 7 of the same looking mouse mate
why are 4 of them all literally white with black buttons
could atleast get a different colour for each mouse
they arent the same 😭
i promise
i like white mice. the 2 black ones are because the white was out of stock
spot the difference
its like 5cm longer wow
thats a big difference
sure buddy
and the hump placement is different
how much did they cost i wonder

i like monochrome bro it aint a crime
ok atleast get some variety
never 😤
would be a waste of money
imagine not having a button on your mouse binded to win+shift+s
none is a trackball
Does this look shite?
I am not too versed in what's good or not in keyboards, but I quite like this design
whats the name of it
Forgot to say, sorry-

No idea, whatever it comes with
do you atleast know if it’s hot swap or 5 pin?
if not honestly i’d get a regular tkl and swap out the keycaps atleast you’ll know what your getting
Hot swappable according to a video
Tkl aswell - allegedly
Although I've no idea what tkl means
Oh
That's my only gripe abt it tbh
I love the numpad
I can live without it though
peak combination from apple and chinese
design
No idea yet
Probably 100 combined for both the board & mouse
Wait no, closer to 60ish?
I already chose a mouse though so 38 if we're saying 60
Which means this keyboard is just about within budget
I quite like it eitherway though, looks decent
$40 dang
you could maybe find an aula f75/f87 or ak820 pro for under that on aliexpress
you probably couldnt get a set of keycaps like that for that budget
That's minus shipping :3
make a new account and get free shipping
One second
Lebanon
its at most £20 for me
in the middle of no where got it
Middle East
thats quite expected actually
do you have a friend that lives in a country where the shipping cost is better and can send it to you?
i have a great idea
someone should make a mouse with 5 pin hot swap sockets
Nope
I mean
Well, many do
But can't go through that endeavour
fair
I think I'll just get the GD87 lol
fair
I wish Newegg would ship here tbh
id probably mod it a bit the board sounds quite hollow
Deals are good
same
It sound good to me
they dont ship anywhere in europe as far as im aware
I think you could probably get a 3rd party shipper
better look for other options before u cop that "gd87"
uhhhh I've got a Keychron Q1 and the V key is going out but I replaced the switch and it's still an issue, someone I work with suggested something a few weeks ago but I cannot remember what he said and I don't have his phone number
So what are then chances someone here knows what he was on about so I can try something before I buy a new board for it
hmm ?
u should specify more
whats wrong with V
like double presses no inputs or?
it just doesn't work 75% of the time
change the switch man
he has
i was about to say lmao
that would be the fix 99% of the time
show pic of the v slot
yeah
or the hotswap socket comoplete loose
that too
whatever man, time for that keycult
This is as far as I have it down for the moment
unrelated but what switch is that
bro immediately recognised it
Khail Box Jades
uh
hold on
I have jades but I built this 3 years ago and these are Kaihl box somethings if not the jades
This has also been broken for over a year and sitting in a box
^^
could have sent it to the gurantee
I bought it in 22 and the warranty was a year at most
literal used car prices
ok I went out to the garage and found the box with the switches
I ordered it with Gateron Blues, used Jades at first but ended up preferring the Burnt Oranges
you dont have a switch bin
I just have them in Novelkey boxes
those aftermarket will be way higher than 900
thats the point of buying
I cleaned off the PCB and put a new new switch and it's working now
vvvvvvvvvvvv look at all these Vs
v
I've been using a Keychron K3 with the lowprofile keys and it's okay but I missed having a real keyboard
bro is buying a keyboard as an investment
buy some bitcoin or something
I don't know if these Gaterons are silver or silver pro, they came with that Cerakey kicksatarter
& that's where my Box Jades are
🤷
thats the point
overpricng
make those seems hype
kohaku and tgr
thats why they are sop expensive
is time for a custom
that's what the Q1 was supposed to be, to some degree.
It's the first one I bought that wasn't Razer or whatever, I changed the switches and bought a Jadite keycap set but didn't realize they were a repro and I love the basic Keychron caps
The mint green is a good color
yes but as someone who was buying their first board and changing what ever you can wihtout tearing the whole thing down it becomes custom enough
i know its kind of a low budget but figured i asked to see if anyone had any suggestions for cool looking quality keycap sets on amazon looking to spend around $17 or below
search keycaps and filter by cheapest
fair
aifei/ndn
yes
hdmi it is
the resolution
make that as your primary monitor and put ur laptop next to it
umm i dont think so
Nothing that I really liked
All just e-waste brands
(BAJEAL)
Oooo I like this
got some more info on this board i found on fb marketplace
it’s tape modded has mx browns and is hot swap 5 pin south facing
only has blue leds though so kinda shit
for £15 worth it imo
custom keyboard fans when the keyboard has LEDs
is hmx cilantro good if i usually bottom out switches when typing
do you like it
i always want to bottom out my switches
yeah i like the sound and feel of it bottoming out i dont want it to be cushioned
why im going with an alu plate
i dont have them but i think they should be that sort of big bump tactile profile where they basically bottom out every time you actuate
theyre on my list of switcehs to try
current switches are (very worn) mx browns
be prepared to be BLOWN AWAY (exaggeration) by how much more tactile they are
all the tactile recommendations are heavy tactiles like u4t
i think sometimes the u4t are considered a more outdated recommendation because theres so many new big bump tactiles available
i dont really want big bump though
baby kangaroo look decent but have basically no pre travel
i found a sampler with most of the switches ive been looking at lets hope i dont get fucked on shipping costs
whats the reason for moving away from mx browns
theres other switches with similar bumps
i want a new board thats a lot smaller than my current one
new browns are gonna feel a lot different to mine
o wait are they soldered into your old board
yeah
hold on
consider gateron longjings
milktooth has the best description imo
but theyre available everywhere
not available from any australian stores
everyone who uses mech BO their switch wdym
i thought some ppl didnt
oh ma those who works in the night
and dont want to disturb anyone
but yeah, every does that i think
that could be the reason sometimes
but some people just buy super heavy switches so they can type without bottoming out , not for sound reasons
i know its a thing i just dont know why
https://allcaps.store/products/tut-lofi are these keycaps good?
look good however i wont pay 110 aud for that
a brand i dont really know
110 aud
but if u like the looks go for it
pbt fans and gmk are too expensive
ePBT is a good price but has really bad quality control apparently
someone get the aifei keycaps link
u can get gmk for that price
110 aud
i cant find gmk for less than 160 aud brand new and thats only a handful of sets i dont like the design of
u mean on secondary?
i am currently in the market for a wireless mouse for normal day to day work and also some heavy gaming sessions (mostly FPS)
lets say any price is fine as long as the mouse can justify its price
any recommendations?
ahh sucks u wanted brand new
no im fine with used
i just dont know where to find it for good price
ppl on fbm are selling for 150+
try \mechmarket
reddit or discord?
any works
what server is that
i dont want blanks
is ePBT good or bad i keep seeing ppl say modifiers are often warped
what server
mechmarket
JTK LOFI Dark gray keycaps with design elements inspired by the OP-1 synthesizer. Overall, the design is calm and clean. Utilizing JTK doubleshot process, the keycaps maintain the Cherry profile. The gray keycaps subtly reflect a metallic sheen, while the colorful buttons add a high level of playfulness and personality
how about ?
JTK NEEDY CANDY Assorted food refers to the fusion of various foods and also represents the fusion of various flavors. This design originated from a virtual network anchor, with a lively and cute overall color and a strong steam wave style. The personalized key design combined with pixel sense presents a dreamy overall
why are those so expensive
but yeah here are some options
are WS good?
@cold folio also i didnt mention it but you could try just buying new cherry mx2a browns as well
buy the dry version please
wait you can buy a dry version?
i would probably say that too based on the lube ive seen before 🫠
idk I was looking at cilantros
based on what ive heard they should be hard to not like
ew
those quality are....
i mean u get what u pay for
Ok
https://www.inet.se/produkt/2227136/asus-27-rog-strix-xg27ucdmg-oled-4k-240-hz
This a good 4k monitor? currently on sale
pbtfans WoB i found for 110 aud shipped
anything thats not WoB/BoW is 150+ from them
actully if u can find cheap clones u can buy them
it will work
and save up for like, lets say: real gmk mitclan ?
Analyse and compare keyboard switches based on force-distance measurements from multiple sources. Build graphs, download, and share them!
i have been sent this for earlier
brown-adjacent switches
i cant find longjing here for the life of me
cheapest i could find was 77 aud shipping included from the us
for 70 switches
honestly if you like the browns then maybe just buy more of them, mx2a
then you might like a big bump tactile after all
yeah prelubed is 120 aud for the 70 i need
maybe gateron beer or ktt matcha
I have the beers and they are quite light but the matchas I don't have
yeah international shipping from gateron is somehow only 4.30 usd
80 aud shipped for 70 beers from gateron directly
now just need to find a pbtsfans set on secondary market
it’s not hot swap so stock mx browns are the only thing i can use lol
until my new soldering kit arrives
Cherry doesn't make liners. Just tactiles with a thousand tactile bumps down the press
lmao
honestly i might keep the mx browns stock
unlubed mx switches have a feel to them
u should do spring swap
How good are the akko yellow switches?
decent
definitely worth it imo
ive used both the blue and yellow and the yellow feels great
second favourite linear switch
why did you buy it then ask for reviews
5/10
I have no idea
yo guys is KOORUI G2411P any good for its price?
for work (video/picture editing) and gaming (high refresh rate with high PPI)?
🥀
v3 pro is really good
nice switches
i might try the lavender ones
Best under 50 dollars 65% keyboard? Am looking for it to be creamy hall effect and minimal issues
mchose ace68 air
nice looking
great performance
great feeling switches
Is it under like 60 dollars or like under 70 is oi
Ok
around 50 from ali
you are going to struggle to get a cheap good HE keeb then
they are all ali brands
Well is ajazz ak820 pro good?
sort of just mid. all the ajazz keyboards are
try look for a Aula hero68he
Well am getting ajazz one because there's nothing locally that's a good he keyboard nor are they he
💔
personal preferences i just dont like akko
creamy and hall effects doesnt likely to go together
hall effect switches just sound ass 90% of the time
Lucky65
I'll check if that's locally available
Am not very pin pointed on he but good for gaming and good sound
Oh sorry just realized you said hall effect
v2 is pretty decent
I've got one coming to me currently
I'm also getting a dna65
Why does everyone seem to hatw the ajazz ak820 pro
I don't
I quite like ajazz stuff, really good bang for the buck
People say it has some issues what are they
I quite like the Ajazz Alux 68
And are they effectable
What issues?
I saw a Mad 68 he for 65 usd is it worth buying but I really want a creamy sound
Idk what they are but. They say that it has issues
if they can't specify what issues there are then i'd safely bin their opinions
it's an HE board, realistically alot of them share OEMs in china lmao
like win60 he and Ace60
they're literally the same board, just different coat of paint
There's literally no good American hall effect keyboards
if you are looking, make web driver a minimum
American manufacturing is dead
if their main selling feature is that its made in america, it's most likely not worth the money
also, if you're looking for creamy, you wouldn't find it on HE boards
define circuit issues
But ak820 pro
Is creamy so yehah
not as good as MX based
Everyone says it has idek trust them atp
it's the way HE switches are built
Ohh
alot of people in this hobby have bullshit opinions on things they don't even own or know
Because like I don't want a clicky sound but want it to be good for gmsing
any reasons for no TKL?
They're spreading bulls hit like aula f75 oh techtokers make it look good but it sucks
I want it to be small
More compact
it's cheap, web driver and decent
Let me check
that and they shill topre ec way too much
I have one :p
I can't order from Amazon the shipping costs more than the keyboard
Jordan 😢
And Jordan has an issue like it doesn't let many Ali express products shipped in other than if it was ordered by a vendor that sells in jordqm
rip
So that's why I'm going locally avaliable
Nwo I could order from a Saudi site
But it's more expensive than local prices
Because I found an ajazz ak820 pro for 50 dollars
Should I just get it?
Umm it is not likely to broken but when it does, gl with those epomaker customer support
Epomaker doesn't own ajazz...
You can literally go to Ajazz direct for support
Epomaker is basically a dropshipper for Ajazz w
Them being owned by epomaker is literal lies spread by reddit idiots (the usual)
also if youre expecting logitech level support out of a 50$ keyboard, you need to be slapped handsomely
i’ve used an ak820 pro for 2 months now can say it’s perfectly fine 0 issues
im looking for like using it for more than 2-3 years
gives me enough time to get a better mouse and kb
i’m planning on using mine for atleast 5 years
dang
Logitech gaming is shit
reading the script
Update on that 15 quid slop when
talking about support, out of peripheral support logitech is a leader
Do you know why
It brokedown too much
Cw88 on a budget !
?
don't care, it's logitech
they're about as mid as it goes
A fanboy, alright dude
I wanted to tey their trackball however
being called a fanboy over not giving a shit about logitech is wild assumption lmao
Their support broke down too much? Or the keyboard breaks often? What
Idk what that one means
Because their product quality is bad so they have to fix it
More experience yk
So they are dealt professionally
I imagine its more to do with them being such a huge company
they replaced my g305 for being miscoloured
Recommendations for a very high quality, durable, long, USB C cable?
free of charge
Depends on your criteria of very high quality. I generally buy Anker cables
Man I can't wait, stacked acry DNA65 goes kinda hard
anyone?
idk
didn’t get scammed or mugged
actually has mx browns
for £15 not horrible
wow fully testing this mx browns really are just unlubed linear feeling
some magegee thing
most of those are £30-£40 glad i was able to get it £15
that's about the normal price for them tbf...
ive got gateron beers coming ill see how they compare to mx browns
