What’s wrong with Ajazz?
Yea, ajazz stuff is sloppy given so many chinese boards with exceptional quality for the price
Get a colt navy not army. Unless bigger is what you are going for. Just easier to find ammo for and reload.
It's a .36 cal instead of the .44
Isnt viet are filled with 10 million chonese slops

Has anyone used the Keychron K5 Max with brown switches?
Any camera people here?
no but I've used the regular K10 with brown, does that help
What are you asking fot
Just if the typing feel is any good, really.
do you have any mechanical keyboards youve used before to compare to
it's subjective whether it feels good
Bru its literally a cap and ball revolver :v
It bigger in size than a colt SAA, yes the boolet is smaller, but the gun is bigger
Mods we need firearms chat
it being cap and ball will make it easier to find ammo for
and the point of bullet being smaller means easier to shoot my guy
and the gun is not really bigger
idk where you are getting that
what about the peripherals for my firearms
They both have pros and cons, but it is entirely up to preference.
Yeah and 10 minutes to reload
Real life aint RDR2 my dude, you wont reload a colt navy in 10 seconds
I get that shooting black powder is fun, but I personally preffer my wheely gat to not chain fire
Somehow this went from wooden interior for PC case to guns :v
U have to lube the trigger
Then spring swap ur chamber
I have a Razer Blackwidow v3 Pro at the moment, and everything aside from typing feel is garbage
Something similar or better than that would be good
if you like tactiles you might consider the banana switches, it's kinda like a stronger form of browns
Sounds good, thanks.
also consider the v3 max as well, it's a soft keyboard
k8 max should be pretty stiff i think
Whats ur budget
I'm well aware it takes longer to reload. You don't buy a cap and ball revolver for how quickly you reload it. Also depending on what colt army you get, it could be black powder albeit less common. If you reload your weapon correctly it shouldn't chain fire. People often get rounds that are too small for it. You want the round to be a little bigger and the outside of the ball shear off.
.
I'm going to die on this hill with my colt navy in hand.

anyone know a decent 200$ ish 1440p monitor?
lovwe it to see people buying shit
Literally any 27” IPS nowadays
i was looking at this for a 1440p 27" monitor, i can get it for a bit cheaper at $480 AUD. how is it price wise?

if its not very good for the price do you have any other reccomendations (around that price point or cheaper)
I don’t really know the AUS market sorry
would you be able to reccomend based on conversion (its around $300 usd), or are the markets too different
dude has been blessed with a shit esthetic opinion
because wtf are those
that's bang on us price for that monitor
a fine monitor imo, it has decent diming zone count to provide you with a level of real HDR display
thanks for the advice, one more thing, i saw it was a VA panel just now. i'm not really big on the deeper blacks and whatever, especially since the one im using now is VA and has some annoying black smearing. do you have any monitor reccomendations with the same size and resolution but with an IPS panel?
https://youtu.be/SnS3DC3ClSI?si=98R5H-rccHkEcfb1
I would recommend the picks in this video. or you can look at their past review videos if you like
I think in testing the aoc doesn't exhibit crazy amount of black smearing as tradition of cheap VA panels?

the monitor looks good, i find myself playing a mix of multiplayer games and story games, which it seems to meet both. thanks for the help
oh yea, I forgot to mention. The reviewer is also australia-based, if you haven't found that out from the video.
so there should be some comments about the mentioned products in the context of the australia market
yeah i saw that, by the way i saw a comment which was talking about how "fast" the monitor was, that being noticeably slower than their previous monitor. i looked up the average response time of the monitor and it was 4.5ms. i'm not sure how that translates into real use, is that generally fine for a monitor as i'm not really sure what "fast" means.
I would say that it's fine for the majority of users, especially if you haven't been spoiled by high refresh rate OLED panels
a comparisons chart from a different review gives you a perspective of how things stands atm
OLED is the fastest with basically zero ghosting, but its also decently more expensive and there's a risk of permanent burn in with current OLED technology
Then you have the 3 LCD panel type, with TN the easiest to overdrive to high refresh rate number, but also has the most amount of disadvantage in picture quality (bad viewing angle is the big one)
VA and IPS are kinda the same in terms of performance when tuned, but cheaper VA panels suffers from black smearing like you mentioned. I guess it's because its harder to tune out the black smearing and brands dont want to spend that effort in such cheap products

ah makes sense, well I can go try this monitor tomorrow in person and see how it goes. I'll probably end up getting it because my normal monitor is 180hz but pretty bad, but when alt tabbing to my other monitor which is 60hz I get a driver timeout (weird known issue I know). Thanks for the help.
Do you know if the omen 27qz is good?
I have no idea.
looks like a refresh of the 27qz, but that doesn't mean the performance is the same
the boring option that I remember of is the Dell S2721DGF
Tbh it's between the omen and the G274QPF from msi
hence "a risk"
whether that risk is a big deal or not is up to your priority

Modern OLED panels, unless you’re purposely trying to burn something in, take care of themselves. Many gaming OLED monitors come with several year burn in warranties.

Hi, what would be a good second monitor for a 34 inch ultrawide 1440p monitor? Mainly using for gaming & game dev. 🙂
Rough budget might help, have one I like but got it during holiday sales a couple years ago https://a.co/d/hYOCnjg is 4k 144Hz the kvm functionality is a nice bonus if have Usb-C on a laptop that can support everything (works well for a couple laptops I have and switching to desktop). Isn't ultrawide but is pretty wide/big/crisp display, took bit of a gamble on monitor from motherboard company but happy with it still, is good for text and decent refresh rate (usually get one or the other). Looks like they only have refurb options now so would look for newer models but can't complain
31.5" SS IPS 3840 x 2160 4K Display Gaming Monitor 144Hz Refresh Rate, 1ms (GTG) Response Time, Supports FreeSync Premium Pro 8-bit color / 90% DCI-P3 / 123% sRGB / VESA DisplayHDR 400 Connect and control multiple devices with KVM OSD Sidekick, PiP /PbP, Dashboard, Black Equalizer, Game Assist, A...
Look into linky 87
Any real consensus on oled ultrawides? Seems like everyone is just rehashing the same two panels?
budget and what do you want from it
that’s £50
elec fox as usually probably illegally discounting items
the shipping cost + base cost is the exact same as the undiscounted price
considering they’ve done that before where they put something on discount and just move the discount to the shipping cost when the item typically had free shipping i wouldn’t doubt they’re doing again
It's 50usd after shipping to the us...
It's not illegal to charge shipping
I think we went over this before?
I really hope you don't need someone to explain again why charging for shipping will vary location to location and why charging shipping isn't illegal...
and it was 100% illegal
because they didn’t charge shipping
it was £40 with no shipping before
and now it’s £30 with £18 shipping
marketed as a discount when your being charged more
the other board was £89 with £0 shipping off sale and £57 with £32 shipping when it was “on sale”
i still don’t know how your struggling with this lmao
that’s pretty obviously illegal since they’re marketing a sale
Free shipping is a promotion and they aren't mandated to offer it however much Amazon may have brain rotted you to believe so
A discount is also a promotion that they can choose to offer or not
Idk if you've just never shopped off of Amazon your whole life
they never promoted free shipping
they can’t just say there’s a discount and charge the exact same amount
that’s quite literally against the law word by word
you can’t claim a discount and then charge the exact same price idk why you can’t understand that
the shipping + discounted price= the original price with shipping= scam and is illegal
cringe
real
Again... Idk why this needs to be explained but free shipping isn't a right... they also say and always have said shipping under the price or say shipping calculated at checkout. If at checkout your shipping was free at one point, it doesn't guarantee you life long free shipping.
There is also no mandate for each consecutive sale offered to be better than the last
If I run a coffee shop and I offer 50% off one week then the next week I do buy one get one free it's not a crime, it's a different sale.
If I do 30% off the next week it's also not a crime.
In the same sense, if I do 60% off the next week, I'm still not mandated to even offer a sale the consecutive week.
it looks good
and i guess people say its alright
read
nowhere did this say free shipping
for that kind of money you can get much better tbh
unless you got it for like <50$
it would be only (possibly in some regions) illegal if they would state they’re selling a good at a “greater discount or even cheaper the item itself” despite the previous prices being the same or less excluding shipping and you’d need to find an argument or prove that their fake discount and the hike in price aren’t justifiable due to a reason, if the item was already “discounted” and the seller or retailer doesn’t directly or similarly state that their new discount is better than their previous considering inflation, market fluctuation, etc, etc. you can’t confidently or at all say what they’re doing is illegal, you can theorerize about it at most
also gotta consider competition, if the seller is just shuffling prices and discounts around but the end product/good is the same price or cheaper than the competition…
you would have hard times convincing judge if you’d actually sue them for that or anyone really
international shipping is pricey on heavier items, also gotta consider some of the greedy delivery companies that charge premiums for their service, you’re free to ask the sellers of the keyboard if they wouldn’t provide a cheaper/economy shipping alternative
Is the Ajazz AK820 Max HE worth getting?
price?
Depends where you get it
i never thought of that
But around $70
Idk it has a 4.9 star rating
And has magnetic switches
Though it’s not metal
So I’m not sure
mg75 has too and and it’s casing is made of aluminum
can you buy from china or asia
@bitter oar what do you think abt this
55 cad is alright
The pro is 85, it has 3 modes, screen and knob lol. But idk if that makes it worth it
i think it has different structure and more foam/sounds less hollow than the non pro
but i don’t think they’re worth that much
85 cad
anyways i gtg
Idk I was looking for a decently priced 75% that sounds really nice and not super loud
Alright thanks for the help
How inky 75 sounds foamless and here is how much foam it has. Just that thin low ppi foam sheet that's about as thick as the actual sockets. It also has an actual steel weight it seems, which I think makes it the cheapest weighted keyboard.
if you believ your guess, go for it
whats cheaper that looks like it
how much was that
Anyone willing to help me find a keyboard?
The space bar is so loud
@charred plank would you mind being able to help me find a keyboard
go ahead
I was looking at the Ajazz AK820 Pro and I was looking if anyone had any other suggestions
so you have like 80-100 ish for a keyboard ?
look at those flex lol
look at those 75% like bridge75 and rainy 75
Alr
Are you sure those are budget? Because these are like 100-200 dollar keyboards (CAD)
If your budget is $200 then yes 😄 they aren't cheap but most niche things aren't
If want "cheap" get generic hp or dell keyboard full on plastic, they work fine (not nice but functional), if want something nicer usually need to dig into what that means for you and varies a bit person to person or situation to situation (similarly what is cheap is subjective)
Well I was looking at the Ajazz AK820 pro, I was just looking for suggestions similar to that
Do you got any suggestions for me?
would suggest get a switch tester and try out some different switches/keycaps and see what you really want before searching for keyboards that have the types of switches you like (pressure/loudness), personally like to build things so bought a Nibble kit and put it together for my most recent one, QMK firmware makes it really easy to remap things with VIA their GUI/web based interface for adjusting key mappings or layers, but what works for me isn't going to be what works for everyone... recently have heard good things about nuphy75 (variants) but comes down to what features you want or don't want (media keys/volume knob, switch types, wired or wireless, temporary weapon for eliminating your enemies etc. 😄 )
if don't want to spend the time/money on key tester then can try at local electronics shop or wherever can get hand on keys but best to be able to try things hands on before making a call one way or another
Fair enough, but basically the only local electronics shop is Canada computers, and let’s just say their selection isn’t very wide
It’s usually filled with lot of keyboards of main brand overpriced keyboards. Such as the razer keyboards, which are high quality just not for 200 dollars
I looked into those nuphy keyboards, they look nice but I think a little out of my budget personally. All I can find them for is around 150 dollars, I mean it’s pretty good, it has magnetic switches, 8K polling. But it’s only wired which kinda sucks
Well if you got any build suggestions I’ll take them, I wouldn’t mind making my own keyboard
If it helps you out, I’m more into the deeper, creamier sounding keyboards. That are usually less loud
think "Air75" is their brand for the wireless versions, personally like wired since for desktop it kinda doesn't matter much to me but don't need to charge yet another thing and all but is ultimately lots of just preference stuff
Not that, it’s just for the options, like let’s just say I’ll ever need it wireless I have it wireless. But any suggestions on building keyboards?
it used to have free shipping
there was no sale originally
£89 is the base price
the board was £89 off sale with no shipping cost
when it was on sale it was £57 with £32 shipping
meaning it’s the exact same price off sale as it is on sale
i’m fully aware but they never had a sale before it
it wasn’t on sale before it was £89 one day with no marketed sale or anything and the next day it was 30% while still costing the exact same price
literal definition of a fake sale
the free shipping was never a promotion
the item was not on a sale or in any sort of promotion before going “on sale”
You’re good
Broadly would just look for "diy qmk" keyboards and see what's out there, the nibble stuff is geared towards "extremely diy" so they provide some basic kit of parts and PCB, but expect that you already know your way around soldering and doing some debugging with building firmware and flashing things. Other kits come in "more complete" state and might do a better job with hand holding through the setup process, but trade off in time building and picking all the individual components vs more complete sets/kits.
since when so called "magnetic switch and 8k polling" equals good product
Tbf most products where looking for cheapest options/cutting corners are gonna use "regular switches" over hall effect but polling rates are mostly marketing spiel
Hall effect based joysticks are worth it to me, never used keeb with hall effect switches, but not sure cases that would really matter except wanting to customize throw distance to trigger
Hall effect sensors for joysticks beat potentiometer based since they just don't suffer from drift or wear from moving the sticks and can just be smoother feeling too (super minor on the last point though)
yeah
8k polling doesn’t affect anything really
regular switch works just fine
those who buy He because they are "cool" are all wannabe's
I agree was just sayin' there is some validity to higher cost components lending some credibility to overall product, I don't have a strong opinion about that particular company or hall effect vs not for keebs personally, into RC stuff though and for that the hall effect joysticks are "worth it" and definitely higher quality than the alternative
have heard of and seen "stick drift" on generic game controllers too so know it's not just some myth, the way potentiometers work and age just means they will all die before me 🙂
shipping costs something do you even understand how that works?
Yea
so far the most credible benefit of hall effect switches in keyboard is also long reliability
the others are in the mud in terms of latency advantage and other performance claim.
yes
it was £89 with no shipping cost
it literally said £89.00+£0.00 at checkout
i’ve said this like 4 times now
free shipping is a discount on it’s self
no?
it was never marketed as a discount
even if it was it’s still illegal to market something as 30% off when it’s the exact same price as before
excluding shipping costs
i bet you didn’t ask the vendor if they couldn’t offrer your a more economy shipping
again, if you’d actually sue them you’d had no chance winning over the judge
i’m not going to buy off a seller that’s illegally discounting products
why
i don’t really see any signs of deception or fraud in their selling
it’s breaking the law literally word by word
i do
the fact that the sale is the exact same price as the item was not on sale
because free shipping is a discount, promoting or not the changed discount despite the old “discount” being better is not illegal, they’re not claiming their new discount is better including shipping
no it isn’t
also the shipping likely costs differently depending on the location
no where did it say that free shipping was a discount it was just offered
i tested this
because it is.
i tested 30 different countries and it was the exact same shipping cost across all of them
it wasn’t.
did you ask the vendor if they couldn’t offrer more eco shipping? you said no so your argument does not hold up
convo is kinda pointless, I mean is fine to feel robbed about it and make some noise but legality depends on locality and false advertising type claims pretty hard to make stick IRL
is okay if you all are having fun debating but my 2 cents
no because they’re obviously not going to offer that
because they wouldn’t be able to sell the product at the exact same price as before
true it just sucks
there isn’t anything i can do about it at all
even though it’s very obviously illegal
have you tried
i will
i can guarantee that they won’t offer cheaper shipping
because the shipping cost isn’t actually the shipping cost it’s just the 36% added on because they don’t want to honour the sale
no matter what you change shipping address number of items being shipped etc it is always an extra £32 added on to the price + whatever other shipping cost it is for the other items
also btw something to add everything else on sale has a shipping cost that is exactly what you saved in the sale
there is no such thing as a free shipping cost without either a discount (attracting customers) or the shipping cost going into the product itself, they may have ended their free shipping offrer, you’re not exactly sure if they did intentionally to deceive customers or due to a different reason
if it’s X no matter the item count… you realize that’s pretty standard
that’s just false
not everything that has free shipping has to be marketed as free shipping
yes?
and it was never marketed as free shipping not once did they advertise it
so what’s your point
that doesn’t matter really, free shipping is a “discount” by any means it’s a common sense
it was just the standard for that retailer for whatever reason
no it isn’t
free shipping doesn’t always have to be a special offer or discount
especially when it isn’t marketed as such and is just standard for 3 years straight
as soon as something is put on sale it stops getting free shipping and the amount it’s on sale by is added in shipping cost
if they’re not announcing their new discount is better including shipping on single item orders i still don’t see your winning a lawsuit or really it being illegal
??
shuffling discounts is not illegal
no their announcing that your getting 36% off
i thought we brought this up months ago
but you just are not getting 36% off
i did
it was already “off” by giving you free shipping
not really
as i said, they’re shuffling prices
that was never advertised as a sale or discount or special offer
do they guaranatee their current discount on single items is better than it was before the discount/s?
or claim
it is illegal when your shuffling the prices and then saying that your offering a discount
yes
it doesn’t matter if it’s advertised or not, free shipping is a discount…
they advertise that the product is now cheaper then it was before
when that isn’t the case in any way
that’s stupid
if it’s been offered for as long as the products have been it’s just the standard
as it was explained to you before free shipping even if it was offrered by the vendor for years, you cannot expect that as a standard
you said the shipping stays at £32 no matter the item count?
if you buy three pieces of the keyboard you literally get a discount if the keyboard is now at £100 -> 75
that’s totally legal shuffling of prices
instead of arguing, better get a job that make u comfortable buying anything u want whether they have a discount or not
agree again even though I see the flaw in the logic is sort of telling homeless just buy a home, also can see argument just based on "principal of the thing" if being sold something as if it is "discounted" when really numbers have just been shifted around
no its £32 per keyboard
i do indeed have a job
thing is though usually "buyer beware" type scenario is hard to prove exactly how you were bamboozled
those occurs on marketplace where bad moderations on items pricing happens
aliexpress
i’ll just not recommend that site from now on
etc
just avoid those
discount was a psychological trick to make u buy more products anyway
at last, buyers is the loser
yeah
32 per slops
elec fox
which fucking slops is that
what
oh im asking what keyboard is that
inky75
no?
if you buy 3 units it’s +£32 per keyboard
even if you ship it in the same order
i don’t see anything wrong here
normal price for international shipping
…
maybe they are nice now
idk
greetings
Why is shipping and taxes so much????
thats a 30% tax rate and even more for shipping
tariffs
EU
shipping also gets taxed
so that's why
trump
yeah even with tariffs and taxes its still far cheaper then the EU XD
anyways i see americans complaining about their ~10% taxes meanwhile in EU, where i live it's 23% (on goods)
What can I say, we really hate taxes.
23% and taxing shipping cost is crazy
Atleast if they would use the taxes wisefully, but currently our goverment is very corrupt and they be stealin money from eurofunds and taxes
governments for you
thank you for your service
I was only looking at magnetic switches because they could actually be more useful than just regular switches. And for the price point I’m looking at, some options actually have them so
If the option is there, why not take it?
Even though I don’t think the polling does anything
if they are really more useful it would be the mainstream
not membrane or mechanical
That’s just me personally, they don’t gotta be to everyone
Either way, they are more gaming oriented
ah
I am starting to feel like my need to get into a topic to try and make a good purchase is starting to be a pain again
hmm ?
I didn’t wanna get into keyboards but now I am price comparing a custom vs prebuilt
To get a keyboard cause I feel like I could upgrade my k380
Yeah I seem prone to those
Last time it was mouse pads
yeah
lets get one
why not
So yeah looking at some silent options
But what’s the upgrade then, is there a big difference from membrane to the other
I’ve just been looking at mechanical ones
membrane has a tactile feel
theres a lot of them out there, i would recommend the ttc silent bluish white but their quality is awful
most silent switches if you use a rigid plate like aluminum should be fine in terms of mush
How would you recommend it if the quality is awful?
theyre good if you i guess have less sensitive ears than me
and use a better keyboard for them so it absorbs the rattles
@spring dew do you know if you want linear or tactile
Problem is I haven’t looked too hard in to switches mostly into sounds of far
So idk how the tactile bump feels
I like how my membrane feels but am not sure which is the proper equivalent
linear just feels smooth like pushing a piston, if you can imagine
and membrane is tactile
I’ll see if there is a place I can test them but tactile should be good

EPOMAKER DynaTab 75X/none x
I heard the rt100 was good but I don’t use the num pad
Replying to me for past context.
I'm pretty sure at this point that I'll need to buy the parts separately and build it myself, none of the pre-built ones seem to have all (or even most) of the things I need. I guess I could buy a fully built keyboard then swap out everything except the PCB and frame, but that seems unnecessarily wasteful.
That being said, I have no idea where I would buy a barebones kit (just the frame and PCB) from. Where would I look for that?
all of them are bad
keychron
Oof, what do you recommend?
I am trying to stay under 130 Cad
Ideally the cheaper the better but yeah
Huh, I didn't know they also sold barebones kits. Do you have any other recommendations for places to look?
Honestly I don't think its worth buying a keychron barebones kit. If you just throw away the switches but keep the stock keycaps its the same price basically
its only like $30 cheaper and that's probably the cost of decent keycaps
hi, anything better to get than the XG2431 for comp gaming?
(must be 1080p)
corsairs K70 pro is really underrated
my sister’s friend has/had one, it’s garbage
average gamer rattly, scratchy board
well, unless you don’t care, then the media features of the board are alright
and if you like the software for some reason ig? well not garbage just overpriced… poor.
I'd prefer for the case to be actually a case around the pcb, and not just a baseplate like the K70 pro. I'm probably going to get a keychron then swap out the keys as makes the most sense, but I still need to figure out which model.
I had a K65 I think and it was one of the worst boards I’ve ever touched lmao
I will stick by steel series head sets and apex pro keyboar dnothing better
The one with hall effect switches right?
every version is garbage
Nah i managed to get one for 116€
Its like a lower quality wooting but not that low
But you dont have to pay nearly 3x the price for wooting
You also get a nice wristrest that wooting also doesnt include
a wrist rest is like 5 dollars
Nah a very cheap one is
A decent one is around 20-30
Ngl i expect way more from othet brands like wooting
360€
For almost the same keyboard
it’s just expensive
way too much for what you actually get
i would rather buy a wooting over it
or even angry miao
cosair is a gaming brand all the way
yeah
only good thing corsair makes is like psus really
how much even is the k70?
£140 that’s crazy
it’s at most a £60 quality keyboard
no
30
30 oem improved with media keys
and cherry switches
only thing they did right
yeah
i hate the baseplate design over an actual case
anyway what are your thoughts on KTT macaron yellows? i might try them
i have never tried them
but u cant go wrong with ktt , to be hoenst
my thoughts on them generally they are just a bunch of recolors
until those ktt baby showed up
those pretty nice
for budget keyboards
i wanna use them as a secondary switch for some feel on certain keys
nop
i pick left, you can always open a software or manual of what which key does 😂
id pick right thats not that massive of an issue
i just tried to type with 2 index fingers and it was horrible ill choose left
blank keycaps are fine imo
blank keycaps are really nice
i just personally dont understand them
yeah if u touch type u will not be bothered
i do i just dont like how they look
They announced a 60HE v2 and it’s just…. A factory modded v1 basically? lmao
buy tiger lite gaming and save any troubles
im gonna get it and hang it on my wall
those shit loud as hell
i’m gonna buy them
Endgame
blue shell pink dots
In stormbreaker max cf
Apparently it has the pin spacing for mech switches too
what is this ktt kang white reference
H
Btw did you have any suggestions
Replying to me for past context.
Mostly figured it out, I'm planning on getting a Keychron Q3 Max (80% TKL) and Q0 Max (Numpad) fully assembled in black with brown and banana switches respectively. Still figuring out what accessories to get, but I'm almost definitely going to want purple keycaps (either like Type B in https://www.keychron.com/products/oem-dye-sub-pbt-keycap-set-unicorn (which is sold out), or like the bluish-purple ones for the Enter key on the dark gray/white smoke set (but for more keys than just those two)), at least for the keys on the sides (probably going to stick with the default ones for the letters and numbers).
So what exactly would I need to search for? My understanding is those colors are only really achievable with Dye-Sublimated PBT, and I'd be looking for either an SA Profile or KSA Profile to be used with a Cherry key (the plus-shaped stem). Is there anything else?
(also, where would I search for these.)
logitech keyboards good or nah
yes buy them, support their garbage
£1.25 switches idk
there have been many fake ktt switches
45 pcs for that price is a steal yeah
nothing could go wrong really
but i saw those deals before , where they suck all the prices into the shipping
like a 50$ shoe is selling for 1$, but when we check out the shipping gonna be 45-50 or wev
shipping is £3 but i just created a new amazon account so you get free shipping for the first order
idk what happened to my old account i think it must of been deleted it just doesnt let me sign into it
Are kaihl box white v2 switches better than v1?
noctua not using their dogshit colour scheme (impossible)
the colours arent bad they just dont go with anything else lmao
their coolers are a great example of this
well yea, no shit sherlock
if they choose black or whatever then you gonna cry for another lazy rebadge
no not really
it’s not just a colorway, they’re downtuned fans
they don’t perform as well as the non-redux fans
Yea I know. Just talking about color choice
We are talking about a mouse
i like this
but fans inside mouses isn't anything new
also, you will have to use the mouse wired because the fans draws some powah
i don't like dusty gray out of all colors
i would go with the brown 'n tan color theme X'
Chromax black
Do you guys think the SKYLOONG GK75 or RK ROYAL KLUDGE L75 are worth it if I want a silent keyboard?
https://www.amazon.ca/RK-ROYAL-KLUDGE-Mechanical-Touchable/dp/B0F47ZLR6N?th=1
https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B0BM93CSVW?tag=keebfinder05-20&linkCode=osi&th=1
what the fuck
Lukewarm take: Noctua ugly asl
What’s a good controller for playing driving games and some shooters? One I was looking at was the apex 4 but I was a tad concerned after I read smth about quality control issues
that fan will draw 70mah, and the base feinmann has a 240mah battery
The 2 main ones I found that seemed like maybe options were the Vader 4 pro and the apex 4
whyd they search "my rk61" lmao
Cause I was asking if the rk l75 was good
and then here's me and my gk61x has not died yet for 4 years and counting
with couple big fistfull right in the center for good measure
Yes I gamer rage and smash the keyboard
anyone know where to get a decent uk iso mechanical keboard
keychron probably
Hey Guys my current Mechanical Keyboard is hhhhaving key shhhattering Issues. So Iam in thhhhhhhhhe market for a new one. Whhhats recommendet at thhhhhhhe moment?
gk61 is not rk61
I know, just saying
mate people were livid when I bought mine originally
i just generally wouldnt buy anything from RK
only dumbass will
Does this channel also include monitors or just the normal peripherals :3c
Stupid question ik but don't want to barge in out of category
yes
Oh alright
In that caseee
https://www.msi.com/Business-Productivity-Monitor/PRO-MP251-E2/Overview
1080p@120Hz, IPS (1500:1), HDR, 24.5in
Asking price I got was $93
Less relevant, but 2W speakers
DP, VGA and HDMI
1.4, Standard D-Sub, and 2.0 respectively
Thoughts?
Previous chosen monitor was a Pro mp225 21.5in, which didn't have HDR, and was 100Hz
Do you think the Gk75 is a good choice then for a silent keyboard?
i have no idea
i’ve never used it or used silent switches
Fair enough thank you. Do you have any other brands I should out right avoid?
i’d probably recommend getting a normal kb that you like and then getting silent switches
no not really
other then the standard logitech razer e waste
No clue what normal kb Id like ngl
any particular form factor? aesthetic?
75% is preferred since I don’t use number keys and need function keys.
Aesthetically. I don’t really care about rgb, and prefer quieter colors. Idm a darker color with a few pops of color, but honestly I am not too picky end of the day
The whole reason I am even thinking of upgrading is cause I’ve heard a good mechanical feels better to type on than a membrane
yeah 100%
i’d recommend an ak820 pro just as a basic ass option
what budget?
if your willing to spend more then £60 i’d say a keychron v5 is alright
they also make a hall effect K2 now
This and the Aula where keyboards I started looking at when I started
they’re great options
i have an ak820 pro and it’s amazing
i would entirely recommend it
I just found them both a little too poppy and wanted something quieter
including switches i’d go for the ak820
ak820+silent switches
should be about like 80-90 cad
I assuming you are not writing pro to just save time
definitely get the pro version
its wireless and has a screen
screens a bit of a gimmick but it’s nice i guess
Makes it echo more since it’s not a double fill, and the text quality is also worse
they also make an ak820 max which is hall effect if your using it for gaming i’d get that
yes
idk how available silent switches are for HE boards
I think I’d have to recheck the sound on that cause what’s the point in the max if I am gonna have to change the switches
They exist, I just don’t know how good they are
there’s some options tbf
it’ll still be hall effect
Oh so both the board and switches need to be Hall effect. Ig that makes sense yeah

This is the guide bbaovanc posted
it’s pretty good
When I said I was debating a custom cause it might just drive me less insane that finding a prebuilt
i’d do your research though on what you want from them
a custom would probably be cheaper
i’d get a switch tester just to see what you want in terms of feel
Yeah. Don’t wanna end up hating the keyboard I went crazy into a rabbit hole for a month for
lmao
with a custom you can pretty much just change whatever you dislike
that goes with a lot of prebuilts too but custom especially so
9 dollar difference which isn’t much, ig it comes to what the switches cost as an extra to be HE
Cause rn I am using wireless Bluetooth in my gaming
Problem is I don’t wanna have to spend more money and time after I’ve set something up
I like things to be upgradable but not have to be upgraded if that makes sense
But yeah I’ll look into HE silent switches. Whatever switch type I like more I’ll go with
i’d go with the max then
lots of rubber dome options I believe
like raeds HE
HE keyboards will sound a bit worse but with silent switches that doesn’t really matter
damn
i know nothing about silent switches in general let alone HE silent switches
i’d try the stock HE switches see if you like them first then get silent ones if you want
there might be silent non-rubberdome switches as well but idk
I don't know anything about HE
I just have some of the raeds HE as a fun test since they fit mechanical plates
cool
i might get a random ass HE board off aliexpress or something for gaming
really don’t care about sound or feel for gaming with HE switches
they even stole the strap lmao
epomakers not that bad
just anything besides royal kludge
How are they sound wise
they sound quiet
like most silent switches it just sounds like keycaps
no switch noise
but I don't like that they don't have any tactile bump really
is Q6 the best I can do for full size barebones?
I just realized why that Max He is cheaper than the last time I checked, it's the wired
tbh idc about wireless
What’s y’all’s opinion on the digifly Vader 4 pro?
Other than Keychron and 8BitDo, does anyone know of any other companies that have a (good quality) hot-swappable numpad?
there are better options
any budget sim racing wheel recommendations?
sub 100€ would be perfect. (location germany, use geizhals.de for price comparison if you want
i just boot up old f1 games (in singleplayer) from time to time and my hands get fatigued because i grip the controller very tight.
if it wasnt for that i would stick to controlelr, which is why i really dont want to spend a lot
moza R3, logitech G920 etc. ar far too expensive for what im willing to pay
Cannot
Amazon / Newegg / Jawa are off limits thanks to shipping & shipping prices
If it even ships in Amazon's case, then it's 115+(~50-150)
Newegg outright doesn't
not worth it under 100 euro
they won’t have force feedback, so it feels disgusting
if you’re gonna get a wheel, you need to spend more than that to make it worth it
cheapest one with force feedback is 125€
thrustmaster open wheel and t128
otherwise i found the logitech driving force GT for 40€ used several times
try and find a g920/g29/g923 or thrustmaster tmx/t150 used
used your only real option here
you get the open wheel with it?
that’s worth €125
the open wheel alone retails for €150+
you need a clamp or at least some way to mount it
currently im highly gravitating towards the driving force GT for 30-50€
used
cheapest, has pedals and no leather
get this
its a tsxw
100% would buy
thats a really good wheel and base
you can buy clamps if it doesnt come with one
for 135 euros thats a steal
triple the price compared to the driving force GT and leather
both dealbreakers
triple the price but triple the performance
the driving force gt is significantly worse
a quarter of the force no swappable wheels a bad stock wheel gear driven ffb
i would 100% buy that tsxw right now
that is the best deal ive ever seen
t128 is also a lot worse then the tsxw
id get the tsxw
leather is a dealbreaker
trust me it is 100% worth it over the driving force gt
and there seems to be no version without it
you can swap the wheels
the t128 and driving force gt cant be swapped
i dont care about the leather being on it but the animal that got killed for it
swappign out doesnt solve that
(and comes with extra costs)
its fake leather
is it?
all wheels ive seen use fake leather including all thrustmaster and logitech wheels
actually i lie the 12" moza es mod is real leather
thrustmaster publicly says they dont use leather
respect for that and yeah seems to be the case
is AW2725DF worth it?
thx for the advice and not giving up on me 😄
i wil ltry to find some reviews
for reference the tsxw is 6.2nm the logi wheel is 1.8nm and the t128 is 2.4nm
100€ uplift stil lis a lot considering i played like... 30 hours last year in total
trust me i would kill someone to have a tsxw when i started out
i'll report back once im doen wathcing reviews 😄
(if i can find some)
theres a couple
my review is youd be an idiot to buy anything else but the tsxw in this situation
the open wheel?
thrustmaster open wheel
↑
thats a decent wheel
definitely good enough for 99% of gt/formula racing
for 50 euros thats a great deal since the wheel sells for like 150~
but its the same wheel u just were so passionate about?
even if not thats a great deal for just the base
but its never mentioned anywhere
it probably is just the wheel base
meaning youd have to buy a wheel and pedals
those can be had for under 100 euros used
ah wait there is legit no other analog input on the wheel to not buy pedals
still anything under 500 euros for that wheelbase is an amazing wheel
yeah im not paying 250€
wdym
to bypass buyign pedals
pedals are like 40 euros max
ah just read your message again
125€ for the wheel
not the base
so i need a base and pedals
i thought it was just the base
id go for the t128
the GT is pretty old nowadays
the ffb isnt that good for modern games if they support the wheel
found some for around 80€ used after fines and shipping
think thats gonna be it then
thanks again for being persistant with me again 😄
the t128?
y
Is this monitor still good or should i pay a little more for MSI MPG 271QRX QD-OLED or Gigabyte AORUS FO27Q
I’m trying to find a good CSA layout keyboard with a backlight and wanted to drop in and see if anyone here might be able to point me in the right direction. Amazon has been kind of fruitless and BestBuy has like 3 OEM keyboards. I’d like to not resort to an apple Magic Keyboard but I’m kind of low on options.
Looking for one that shows the circumflex & the cedilla if possible eg: ê & ç
@harsh bronze just get a good keyboard and some CSA profile caps
The problem is the extra keys
No way those words came out from you biooc
I think inky 75 would support that but you'd probably have to remap it
But let me double check
I don’t mind remapping a keyboard
Nm, doesn't look like the stock plate does
Remapping a keyboard is a lot easier than memorizing the Unicode numbers and stopping in the middle of a word to press alt and punch in the code for œ
I appreciate you giving me an idea though. I might see if I can find a fully programmable keyboard that’s got a customizable layout and find the right caps.
Anything via compatible can be fully remapped
Worse comes to worse I grab a keyboard off apple because they make them and it’ll be acceptable at worst.
They’re just 150 and special order so they take like 2 weeks to a month to arrive.
Mif inky 75 ever support spilt shifts
But neo80 is
Usually you'd do this inside your OS by changing keyboard layout or language, rather than remapping the physical keyboard
The problem with that is if I reprogram a US qwerty keyboard it physically doesn’t have enough switches.
Trust me if it were that easy I’d grab a Corsair keyboard and go online and find key caps and be done with it.
ohh I see
I thought you meant just using an already iso layout phyically
Are you open to buying a new keyboard or do you want to use the current one
Trying to buy a new one
My current keyboard is a laptop lol I’m moving to a PC for the first time in a long time
I know keychron has that layout available if you want it
With a laptop it’s a lot easier. When I buy it from the OEM I just hit « Canadian French » and the right keyboard comes on it.
and neo80 apparnelty?
Buy a membrane with that layout
Keychron & neo80 will take a look
Trying not to do this because there are two options
An awful dell OEM keyboard or an overpriced apple OEM keyboard are the membrane options.
Which are ?
Is budget wised i would say
And last forever
neo80 probably a better pick than keychron
I’ll look into both
it takes a tiny bit of assembly iirc
oh this guys using outemu cream yellow
I can respect that
Respect the poverty
oh my eyes
what
Cool oring board
So I was visiting a customer site earlier and they gave me this keyboard. Brand new still. It’s IBM XT compatible but I can’t work out how old it actually is
I’m also not worried about budget constraints, I just don’t want to spend $150 on the most basic aluminum keyboard ever constructed. (Apple).
Holy shit this thing is cool
Right? I can’t believe it’s brand new
Good find for you dude
In the back should give you the info
waiting for the serial number to just be 1
Yeah I’ve seen both these sites the first one is the only matching picture I can find
But it has very little info on the actual keyboard, the reddit post is a similar but different model
It feels real nice though I might have to get an adaptor
you would need to find one specifically for converting xt to the current scancode
I’ll probably diy it with a rasPi
that's a bit too overkill, something like an arduino is enough for these kind of conversion.
but more powr to you
True, I just have a few picos spare rn
actually I’ve got a few ESP32s laying about.. Bluetooth mod? 🤔
Would feel bad modding a brand new one tho
i just got a free mouse
is there some kind of buyers guide or search site for mechanical keyboards
just got a 80% keyboard and im trying to do unicode symbols but none of the methods seem to work (like alt+x or shift ctrl u)
how do you guys do it?
windows 10 + wooting 80HE btw
it doesn't work for me on discord either
but word or whatever works fine
in a browser this shortcut doesn't work it seems
well, 98% of times i need it in browser or discord
one additional reason to send it back (although there were plenty already)
Eh, it's a universal thing on windows, I'm not using a wooting
yeah didnt meant that one to wooting just that non full size keyboards might not be for me
Understandable
they do have a full size offerings tho wooting, is there any reason why you didn't go with that one?
my order got delayed by 1.5 months, i had to buy the modules one instead of prebuilt (otherwise even longer delay) they proimised a 30€ gift card and then just didnt send one
didnt get fullsize bc its more expensive, its much louder and 1 other reason i forgot
Okay, welp unfortunate for you
and half the reason i got a new one is not waking up my GF at night through typing (which it delivered on)
and tbh the Unicode thing has workarounds with some software u can download or just using function key and map the number keys to numpad keys
more reason to never go with wooting
yup, i will jsut keep this for 30 days, send it back and if something is missing in the return package thats just unfortunate i guess
its so tough tho to be that kind of customer while only targeTing the brand and not the customer support who has nothing to do with it
buy a mech and make a silent build man
cheapest for that (i still want HE) would be turtle beach vulcan 2 pro TKL
with 100 silent switches thats 200€ again
responsiveness is great, as well as analog inpouts and multi function keys
blocked
huh what does that have to do with the. Keyboard layout though? I don't see how numpad is involved in that
wioth numpad u can just hold alt and type the number
which doesnt work without numpad, at least out of the box
you could hold alt and type with the numbers above the letters
nope you cant
wat
dont you see he is talking bullshit now, because i hate his wooting 💔
what a fan boy
if i save a lot of money by going TKL or 80% im fine downloading a program that allows u to do so
Is this Unicode input thing a windows feature or a specific program
windows
most frequantly i use alt 23 through 26 to make arrows
or at least i did on my old keyboard
but again there are workarounds for it, i think any via compatible keyboard can be mapped to a 2nd layer so you can just hit function key and i can make my number row act like numpad key, then its pressing fn before and after holding alt while typing 26 for a right arrow
which is whatever, i'll get used to it
Yes
Why are you limiting yourself to only mainstream options?
It's like buying a 500hp Lamborghini for $200k and claiming you got the cheapest 500hp car because some Ferrari cost more and Bugatti costs more and ignoring that there are cars a quarter that price that reach or exceed 500hp
ISO DE layout
im not limiting myself to anything
besiudes the features that are necessary for me
but especially what brand i buy, i could nt care less
It's not the most common layout but it's not uncommon either
You especially don't need to go mainstream garbage for it
Pretty sure most of my boards support it
