if you are slamming your keyboard thats definitely a skill issue
its not like im bodyslamming my keyboard i just sometimes have to type really fast and go kinda crazy with it
also its very hard to not bottom out a stronger tactile/clicky
since after overcoming the bump, the rest of the travel takes less force comparatively
notice the massive dip
if you want your switch to "catch" your more aggressive keystrokes youd need like gateron oil kings
i too dont like linears that much, with one exception
maybe 2
they HAVE to have a relatively flat force graph, bottom out is similar to actuation force
and slightly shorter travel helps
so i like my gateron pro 3 silvers
also im having this problem
i feeling the H and K on my keyboard rn
and the K feels 40% heavier
than the H
its very noticable
is this normal?
its normal for switches to have variance in their resistance
is it that my switches are giving up?
it sounds like you need to expirement some
or learn to not beat up your keyboard
with violent typing
its easy to expirement with a hotswappable board
keep in ming though low profile has a lot less switch options
yeah and tbh low profile is a must have for me
the speed difference in gaming and typing
is pretty high imp
speed diff -_-
i type at the exact same wpm on my full and low profile
also pcb latency difference is gonna be more than the diff between high vs low profile for gaming input
isnt that difference very miniscule?
i found just getting a good normal profile keyboard and having a wrist rest solved most the problems i had solved by low profile
and it sounds better atleast in my case since my low profile is that g515
yeah
so the browns felt softer
yuh
is it like typing on a cloud?
very much so depnds on the switch
and i mean i treid 37g switches and they felt like feathers but way too soft and squishy for me
do you fully tap the keys out on a normal keyboard?
as mentioned prior, full profile or low i always bottom out
its how i type
so how is your wpm the same then
dont you lose more time when you tap out on a normal keyboard vs low profile
which takes less time
sir
there is 1mm or less extra travel on a full size switch
with how much force one applies to a switch
we are talking about such an irrelevant amount of time
ok then its just me
yea you just havent gotten familiar with whatever full size board ur testing
or its just a bad one
that isnt for you
could be
is there a keyboard with clicky switches where you can change the actuation point
like the optical switches i think
i only saw linears having that
but are there keyboards that got this with clicky switches?
probably not
because the bump/click wouldnt move
fair enough
i asked chatgpt for recommendations
he keeps recommending me the msi gk50
which i already HAVE
should i try out non low profile keyboards?
yea
because its almost impossible to find the clicky low profile keyboard i want
get a wrist rest
does a wristrest do a lot?
a lot of people say dont get one, but as long as you dont rely on it its fine
i feel like that they kinda do nothing
its literally there to "rest"
i tried one and it felt weird
lift your hands to type, it leaves your arms more level when ur not
act like it isnt there when ur typing
i barely rest on mine when gaming and use it as a rest/base point when doing nothing
but i must say that the armrest from razer is pretty nice
its soft
but i wouldnt use an armrest tbh
not my thing
its just like there so you can rest on wasd or whatever without straining holding your hand up or having a bent wrist
the same way you have the area below your laptop keyboard
i mean my resting position is literally left hand on wasd like im gaming
i dont take my hands off the keyboard every time im not inputting
so whats the draw to low profile for you
me too, until my full size keychron, better profile keycaps and a wrist rest got me tied
tbh i only used low quality normal keyboards
i never tried high quality normal keyboards
i also like the resting ergonomic of low profiles, and a wrist rest just bring the table-keycap height dynamic to full profile
i mean that is true
ngl its gonna be weird
clicky switches on a normal board
i only tried low profile clickies
crazy image flash
i like my purple
full profile has more fun things
and more better soundings (usually)
isnt the sound up to the board you are typing on?
yea
but shape and resonance matter
less room for dampening in a low profile
though who gives a crap about that if ur using cheap clickies or a gamerboard
also that wristrest is it loose or does it connect with magnets
aits just a piece of foam with nylon on top
ive had it way longer than this keyboard
its super firm foam and the right size
ngl this is a hard choice for me
i want to stay low profile
but i dont have many options
and its better if i switch to normal keyboards
i personally dont understand how people dont use a wrist rest with them
i just rest my wrists on my table and it works perfectly fine
it could be of the low profileness
ye
because my keyboard is lower on the table
yeah 2nd picture looks better with the wristrest
i mean you can adjust the keyboard underneath and make the angle higher
and ofc im not like glued to the wrist rest, but i rest my left hand on the keyboard all the time and im not going float my hand there or break my wrist being it
then you might not need a wrist rest
like use the feet on my board???
yeah
then im either floating because of thelength of my fingers or at an evern worse angle
also i like low typing low angle
for me its the opossite
its more comfortable for me to type on a higher angle
but if im gaming the
no angle is the better option
the profile of keycaps + 3 deg is enough angle for me
man I think I might need a palm rest for my keyboard too
I float my hands but maybe not enough because I've been getting wrist pain
Or it might be my laptop idk
yo what
wristrest on a laptop?
how does that work
i also forgot the mention that the keyboard in my country is AZERTY
so like i lose 80% of all keyboard options
rip
but with a keychron or other qmk/via firmware keyboard
you can just remap the keys
and get the right keycaps
probably from the shorter travel ig
no
Basically its very unergonomic and I don't think its solvable on a laptop
You might have trouble finding keycaps for azerty unless you swap to a uniform profile (where all keycaps are the same shape)
I've never used uniform profile but I know a lot of people like it anyways
and yeah qmk/via let's you remap to whatever keymap you want
how tf do you even do the first image
my hand cannot bend downwards like that or it hurts
it automatically floats
Please see a doctor.
i concur
your hand should be able to go upwards nearly 90 degrees
but yea if i float my hand to rest it takes more arm work and adds the weight of my wrist to my arm bone resting on the end of my table
and i dont like that
i think for ergonomics youre supposed to be able to just hover your fingers over the keyboard and not have to rest them on the keyboard
so thats just an indication that you might need a wrist rest or your elbow is sagged too far down or something
at least thats what the advantage360 users' propaganda has told me (i dont use one of those)
any suggestions for a wireless low profile keyboard which is less than 100 GBP (183.59 CAD, 132.65 USD ). A little over budget is fine.
well thats just uncomfortable
its comfortable to me
flexing hand to reach over a tall mechanical keyboard i bad for ergonomics
floating hand, or palm rest is how you're supposed to do it
ideally the arms are declined slightly but I don't have a tall enough chair for that
i also dont have enough chair height
my hands do float when im actually typing but i just like my wrist rest
im not gonna be floating 24/7
i use a neo ergo with the elevated and tented wrist rests
Has anyone here used the Manba One V2 Controller? As is it worth it for 30$ price?
have you seen the nihongogamer video?
Why? Why not! This MANBA ONE pad controller finally makes controller interesting again with its built-in screen, RGB lighting, gyro sensor for motion controls and plenty more. But is the D-pad any good? Let's find out.
Product provided for video purposes. All opinions my own.

pretty thoroguh review
trying my 2nd linear switches that i like
gateron smoothies
smoother than the pro 3 silver, but i prefer the upstroke sound of the silvers
smoothie
i did 2 layers of tape
ever so slightly poppier ig
i do have a gateron silver switch for the spacebar because the smoothies are too soft on spacebar for my taste
Hermano Miller Sayl. Y'all got a favorite chair?
should i get a Keychron K8 or a ducky one 3
and if i go ducky
i dont know if i should silent reds or speed silver
are the speed silvers loud?
Keychron but not k series
i only got the K series as option
That sucks, why then
im limited to AZERTY dutch layouts
are the ducky one 3s good?
Cant be better than the keychrons
so whats the difference between them
why is keychron better than ducky
is it the keys? build quality?
price?
quality overall
and whats wrong with the K series
so i have to go ducky one 3 over the K series right?
which one you are getting
to me they seems overpriced
from where are you from
and thats ansi qwerty
nope man, overall
gaming dinks
yeah
i got no other option
cant even find keycaps with BE layout without being the same price as the keyboard
so its either keychron, gaming brands or ducky
well how will i find the azerty keycaps?
i feel thats gonna be more expensive
whats ur budget
100-200 max
for everything ?
yeah
yeah
@cobalt eagle look for neo80
steelseries apex 3 tkl good?
it keyboard
It works
good enough
There are better options out there
i just want something that looks sounds and feels fine
i dont need anything that types if i shake my desk
How much is that ss keyboard
35
As i said it works, u dont really find anything good in that budget
Maybe the keychron c3
I looking for monitor recomendations, I don't want to spend more than roughly $150and I am wondering what I should look for
Samsung odyssey g3 ?
@main narwhal works beautifully thank you
nice
qmk documentation has a lot of information, just might be a slog to find exactly what you are looking for
Looking for Monitor Recommendations – 1440p, 144Hz+, 27”+, Possibly Ultrawide, Under €400.
Hey everyone,
I'm in the market for a new monitor and would appreciate some recommendations.
What I'm looking for:
Resolution: 2560x1440 (1440p)
Refresh rate: Over 144Hz
Size: Larger than 27 inches
Type: Open to ultrawide options
Budget: Under €400
My current setup:
GPU: NVIDIA RTX 3070
CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 7600X
I primarily use my PC for gaming (FPS and racing games), along with some media consumption and casual work. I'm not too particular about the panel type, but I do prefer decent color accuracy and performance.
If you have any suggestions or models in mind that fit these criteria, I'd love to hear them. Thanks in advance!
I've had a logitech g512 carbon with blue switches for quite a while now. Should I eventually upgrade to something else or nah?
If you need it.
Don’t buy anything you don’t need
Heard of hall effect keyboards which is why I asked. Still a great keyboard though.
These are expensive
is there anything you dislike about your current keyboard that you want to fix? beware of buying things based on fomo
Nothing wrong with it so far, wanted to be prepared for when it does go though. I also like the features advertised for hall effect keyboards.
Good deals I got on some old Mac stuff for my sleeper
I'm considering getting a monitor to primarily use as a secondary (tertiary?) screen to use with my laptop, but also as a docked output for a Switch 2. Not entirely sure whether I'd prefer 4k or 120 fps if I have to choose, but I'm leaning towards the former.
What else do I need to keep an eye out for? Would any HDR capable monitor be good enough for my use case or do I need to look more into that?
a lot of "hdr" is just backlight get bright, looky trashy
check in depth reviews on rtings, or monitor spaces
Ideally I want to get one at the So Cal Tech Fair in a couple of weeks, so I don't have any particular models in mind at the moment. Ideally I want to make sure I know enough about what is out there/pricing that I can make a decent pick.
if u game yes
I deattached the light film like part on the aula F75, is it repairable?
It's the one that attaches it to the actual keyboard
The PCB I think idk...
Do you guys know how fix stocks stab on the keychron q1 i lubed it so many times but its still rattling
bandaid mod perchance
I did it once but i failed miserably the tweezer push it in too far and its in the pcb now💀
A sheet thing ?
Buy new stabs already,
Not even wirth to fixx those on a stock keychron stab
All durock stabs are sold out
.
The black foam ?
Apparently I could temporarily fix it by inserting it in, but im gonna need smth that makes it stay there
Shit sorry I didn't realize the thing wasn't shown
Not attached
Damn why didnt I think of that 💔
Thats a connector for sure, idk what for yet
What gets it to turn on I believe
There is some sorta stopper in the input, u lift it up and shove the cable in
I inserted the one for the knob pretty easily idk why this one is super fragile and won't stick smh
Make sure it go in all the way
Or declared as broken and buy smth new
Nvm chat I fixed it I'm so sigma
Assuming that it's just a super thin alternative for a wire
Just needed to attach it on both sides
Like a charger ish
new stabs indeed
i put new stabs n my keychron and its so much better
also because i hate keyboard nerds, last few times i accessed my screw in stabs i just peeled the plate off with all the switches and keycaps still on
yw
How is this related to ur hatred on keyboard geeks
it feels sinful
mfs say i have to remove all the switches to get the pcb
i say no
Some streamers i watched on youtube did that all the time when they have a streambuild
No one mind at all
To be honest do it at ur own risk
Found it cursed tho, but i treat keyboard like how i treat my gf if i ever have one, and most people does
it really just feels cursed
but i aint got time for that
replaced my stock stabs with tx ap v4
good
my knight v3 didnt fit the pcb holes
these did
the spacebar has a small bit of rattle on the top out but its barely noticable
no more ticking!
I usually use cherry clip ins
If u have a ticking knight tsab thats skill issue lol
wow
Iss a keychron, yeet it
dont hate on my keycorn
Should be a q serires ?
i have a v series
v3 max
im good
maybe i need another tho so i can have a tactile and a linear
i really like my baby kangaroos and these smoothies
Jus buy another pcb
Which is 50$
And a plate for 10$
Am I getting old enough that now ribbon cables are considered ancient tech
:dark_brandon:
At that point just swap all the switches if you wanna change
no point having a second PCB and plate preloaded with them if you cant then put them in a second board to swap entire keyboards easily
might as well just change the switches
fellas does anyone here have the 8bitdo ultimate 2? i have a question about it if you own it
something akin to a feel test but on the left analog stick
So... Should I stick with Logitech G F310s?
I wore some out from usage and I think they're fine. 18$ per controller is hard to beat. Should i stick with them and get more, or do you guys have any really good suggestions that would be worth paying more for?
Anyone know where I should look to find a desk stand for a TV tall enough to reach over a monitor?
I've been thinking I want to mount my 32inch TV above my 27inch monitor so I have space to get another monitor to use as my main (instead of the 1366x720 TV). Any ideas would be great.
I can put them in another case man
dear controller guy, just make your opinion based off the controller tierlist video or something
Yeah but my point is its cheaper to just buy the entire keyboard at that point lmao
unless you're gonna try and hack it into fitting in a diffetent case
Like what if i want a soldered board
you meow
then you are weird for buying a keychron idk
Yeah u dont know about gh60 and oring boards

the V3 is neither a 60% nor an oring board
Thats just a reference
If someone is really insists they can make a compatible pcb for their keychron
i possess a v3 max
the entire premise was needing another keyboard for another switch option while currently having a v3 max
buying another PCB and plate doesn't solve that
you could custom build a PCB but why tf would you instead of just buying a neo or something
you were giving advice that makes no sense
Nobody says you can't do it
it just doesn't make much sense
you are again missing my entire point
As i said if u want a soldered board inside that kit
The stock one wont help
Most custom pcb are soldered though
(they don't)
I also think soldered PCBs are silly but that's something for another day
No comment on those, hotswap is like convenient for changes
But if you already cop for one switch then soldered gave out more steady sound
Plus soldered can do plateless config

I guess this was badly formed, I should've said idk why you would recomnend someone else would, not why you would
Keyboard
I don't like wireless, nor do I need halleffect
then just keep buying ur stuff
you right, why even talk in the server at all when I can just watch ltt videos.
i mean ur asking if you should spend more money on a controller, more money = higher end features
but you don't want higher end features
so
i bought a corsair K70 rgb pro TKL
it has 2 dampening plates + prelubed switches + adjustable accuation point
yeah
jk
seems pretty decent for a gamer board
one test i found has a ticking spacebar
i mean i cant hate on it too much esp if you were the keycap layout constrained guy
noice
noice
1 huge drawback is the layout
im used to a belgian layout
but this keyboard is only sold in a french layout
i was trying to find keycaps on corsair their sites for this but they dont sell BE layout keycaps
can try and find some
but the thing is
corsair uses selfmade switches
its not the usual + sizze
they are like 5%-10% bigger
odd that its not noted on the rtings review
could be that its not true
but i saw someone saying this in reddit
so im not sure
also dont see it on another reddit review
I have never seen that stem shape on the left before
That is really interesting, is it still mechanical?
yeah
i mean u are looking at different distances/angles
blue is HE, red is mech
I mean they still fit normal keycaps if that's what you're asking
yeah its hard to get a picture in the dark
hall effect moves a magnet to create a change in the flow of electrons on the pcb
HE generally a bit lower latency and you can adjust actuation points
what do you mean
spring
they both have springs right?
mechanical is actuated by metal springy metal contacts, hall effect is a magent plus a magnetiv distance ("hall effect") sensor on the board
stem has a bump that sticks out, it compresses a leaf spring that sits horizontally
and bridges 2 pins
both have a spring to return the stem/keycap
yes
i need a visual comparison
this is a brown so it has a bump for tactility
the red doesn't and is just smooth
unless you have a rubber dome 🧌
like the aeboards raeds HE
dont magnets wear out over time? or does that have nothing to do with it
No
magnets wear out over thousands to millions of years yes
mechanical leaves wear out but magnets don't really
so if you plan on gaining immortality, you might want to consider an indestructible keyboard
I think vampires don't mind buying a new keyboard every few decades
is there a difference in feel?
he prolly smoother
less friction as the nub isnt pressing against a spring
i mean you literally have both types on the same board
you tell us
i only feel that difference if i really pay attention
yeah but i just wanted to make sure if there should be a difference in feel or not
larger difference is made by switch design such as lubing or materials
i feel like a scratch on the mechical ones
like its extrmely lightly
is that just the spring?
that's either rails or the stem leg on the leaf
corsair did they advertise they lubbed their switches
idk if they made all the switches lubed
or only the HE ones
prolly all
and doesnt the lube dryout over time?
most commonly used is ptfe based iirc, so plastic and largely synthetic materials
it might get dirty
but its generally long lasting
do i have to do any maintance on the keyboard besides keeping it clean
like do i gotta do something with the switches after like 1 year
i found these keycaps on corsair their site
it uses the standard + keycaps
will it fit my keyboard?
it doesnt mention my keyboard in their list
I can't imagine them making the plus design but not be compatible
try swapping the keycaps onto your mechanical with the reds
and vice versa
ok
yeah they fit
its kinda cool that i got a keyboard with 2 different switches
so does that mean any + keycap will fit?
It should
I don't think it would make a significant difference in CPU or latency either way
so its more of an advertising thing
Cool man, as long as you enjoy it
Soundtest when
If u want ur electric bills higher sure
only in Europe electricity is expensive enough for polling rate to matter 🧌
You dont get the joke…
I think just displaying your screen is more expensive
I get the sarcasm that is why I added onto it
I don't wanna be a femboy
Hello, my old g305 black has a broken scroll wheel I have taken it apart and cleaned and lubricated it any taken out the scroll wheel and i noticed that the part of the scroll wheel that sticks into the sensing part that actually measures how much i scrolled is dulled out and has no more edges so its just spinning in place and not actually scrolling. So my question is what mouse should I get? the g305 again or should I get something else like the x11 or any other that you guys suggest (Spain and around 50€ budget with some leeway).
Try vgn/vxe
bit thuddy (could def be the mic), but noice
also i just found out they use abs keycaps..
"pro" keyboard but not even pbt
rip
Anyone know any good chinese mice that are wireless for around 20-30€~ i don't mind ordering from Aliexpress currently using a Darmoshark M3 4K but it broke and now I need a new one
Was looking at some Ajazz mice
since i hold it like a claw maybe something like that, the g305 felt a bit back heavy but i got used to it.
hand size?
Is it this one?
I have never used aliexpress yet or ordered from that company will it be okay?
yes just make sure to properly fill your address
👍 Ok ill keep this one in mind
last question how does this one compare to my old logitech g305
uhh, it's lighter, different shape, maybe better side button implementation, there is nothing really wrong about the mice
👍 nice
oo that mice seems to fit my needs too with my question that I asked earlier
PAW3395 ulala
like one of my units has a light bit of post travel on the back side button and miniscule amount of switch grinding that i have to intentionally look for and will definitely not happen during daily use
the battery could be larger yeah, but whatever
if you want even cheaper paw3395 aj179 is dirt cheap and can be found in some regions for like 15
yes
ye
make sure to not get the v2
that one is nono paw3395
alright thanks alot
https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005007448685228.html? how much is this for you
28€
:<
this is 25€ but i'll gladly pay 5€ more for the docking station model
wb this
23€ for mouse and 30€ for mouse + docking station
sounds ok, maybe wait until aliexpress provides the 2 euro coupons again but if you don't care it's fine
or 3 euro for 29
I don't mind waiting rn i'm using a broken g pro wireless since my darmoshark broke
the g pro wireless works but side buttons are double clickin
may have raged a bit
mhmmm hmm fair
i recommend getting just the base version but it's up to you
I like the dockng station cuz then I don't have to mess around with a cable to charge it'
especially if it has a small battery
same thing with my logitech mouse
was so annoying to get a cable to charge my darmoshark
400mah so about average'ish for a lighter mouse
well, if the docking version is 5-8 more and you really want it then it's fine
darmoshark has a 800mah battery
lol some expensive mice have only 300mah
but it also depends on how much the actual mice draws
darmoshark is kinda expensive paid 70 bucks for it
well, something like x2 v3 has 500mah
it's predecessor has... 300mah lol
yeah, i don't get it all that much, you want the lightest mouse and when you reach the 50g mark you really start to cut into battery capacity
i had the m3s pro's and m3
they felt a bit cheap, but that's probably just me
at the time decent mices
also my units had some creeking and some switch grinding, scroll wheel squeak but nothing major
I liked the feel of my m3 4k
Is the nuphy air75 v2 a good buy?
potentially explosive, likely inflatable
you could remove the battery and use wired, though it apparently forgets programming after 3 hours unplugged
good keyboard tho
minus the battery
any recommendations on keyboards, as chepa as possible
logitech k120
thats actually good
yeah
thoughts on the Epomaker Ek68?
thats fine
e
u hear epomaker u made ur getaway
Any alternatives
lofree flow, but it has a 500hz polling rate, the lite exists tho and i think is better on that?
i know some others but not off the top of my head rn
USB Hub manufacturers hate this one simple trick!
How common is this exploding issue 😭
enough reddit posts i didnt want to buy one
and its considered normal by nuphy for battery expansion after 1-2 yrs
buys a usb hub
wdym thumbs down thats literally what you did
unless thats ps/2
should i put o rings under my keycaps?
my letter A makes a ton of noise compared to my other keys
and it also lacks abit of resistance
is it because its not properly lubed? or whats wrong
the A makes 2x more noise
seems like the magnetic switches are hot swappable?
could swap switches n see
could be a bad one, could be the acoustics of the case/pcb
Anyone has the issue of the keychron q2 port? Being so unreliable?
Any like recommendations on a new mechanical keyboard
Interesting
What's the issue with it? I'm also looking to buy a new keyboard, and just now Keychron Q6 HE is a choice instead of something like Razer Huntsman V3, I mean, I came here to ask about if it's worth it, but you're saying that keychron has an issue with some port, what?
keychron has some meh qc sometimes and their products arent a great value, plus their q boards tend to sound quite hollow, but it really is one of your only options fora full HE full size keyboards
Yeah, I can't stand the smaller sizes and I need the numpad as I work with numbers quite a bit
One of my only options, is there a better option in your opinion? That's good for typing and gaming?
looks like wooting has a full size
194$
ive heard good things about wooting, but id recommend you look into it further yourself if it interests you
And lasting a long time, I've had a Huntsman in the past and it went to trash cause of a spill (glass broke on tea unfortunately) so I changed it to whatever was a decent option cheap the Apex 4-5 keyboard don't remember exactly but not the optimechanical, and that's what I'm using since, It's a decent board but, uhm, I've got a fairly new build and I'm renovating so 😛
havent spilled on my new keyboard (its a keychron), but my old logitech gaming keyboard survived years of spills
(it sounds like garbage)
i like muh keychron tho
Yeah, I've seen the wooting and it seems like a good option, but some say it's not great for typing for some reason, no idea why, and the keys are not solid as in they wobble and so on
idk a lot abt those boards specifically, but i do know they are prolly ur best bets at a full size he ¯_(ツ)_/¯
Sounds bad compared to mech’s
Tbh only one benefited from those tech are pro players
If u want to be a wannabe sure go for a HE
You mean e-sports players
I'm also a gamer, though my most played game I'm playing on gamepad (Borderlands)
For casuals, mechanical will be fine
"Casuals" ok
99% of users i would say
But some of my friends whi play rhythm games said he is making them better
Cant clarify that, it could be a placebo
huh?
The cable connection like sometimes cuts out randomly
Change your cable
I wouldn't expect that tbh, since mechanical should still be consistent too just with higher delay, I'd think people would adjust to the latency unconsciously
Or they are interrupting with Bluetooth connection
Thats what im saying
Could only be a feeling
Oh, he as in Hall Effect
used to play Rhythm games as well, like stepmania, used to be pretty good, lol, high speed keyboard arrows
Played them before the mechanical keyboard "craze"
Yeah, try different cable or USB port
I tried it still has the same issue
usb port too?
Yeah i tried with the adapter and the usb type c
updated drivers? including motherboard?
maybe your daughterboard is malfunctioned
Probably
But i might just change the keyboard at this point
Any recommendations for a metal case with weight in it
whats your budget
yeah as a 4 year keychron owner the qc is pretty awful
keycaps are shit and will fall apart after 2 years and the rest of the keyboard's build quality is very inconsistent
my v1 had hotswap sockets so tight it felt like the switches were soldered in
it was not user error, it was a manufacturing error
their stabilizers also suck ass
How tf do you even make key caps that fall apart
shitty manufacturing
the stems started shattering after just a year and a half
after 2 years of use i had to buy a whole new set cause pretty much all the wide keycaps were barely holding on
they also get glossy way faster than pbt keycaps should
mine took only a month to become entirely shiny on the ones i use most
meanwhile my shitty lenovo ewaste keyboard with abs keycaps didn't get glossy for 8 months of daily use
If u disassemble them to a certain amount of tines the stems might be cracked or work out
Custom when liz
didn't have the money to buy new ones beforehand and the ones it came with worked fine for the most part
keycaps were taken off like maybe 8 times in those 2 years
always with the proper tools
is keychron, u cant have such high expectation on those prebuilts
yeah true
still, the keycaps kinda suck and it seems to be a thing keychron owners agree on
anywho i'm off to look for a job so i can pay off my current keyboard and get money to do something about these abysmal stabilizers
stabs are like 30 bucks minimum here 😭
in where
poland
it's hard to get custom keyboard parts here due to low demand and supply
and prices are way higher
my keyboard was 60 bucks over msrp
and yes i do mean usd
Sklep dla entuzjastów customowych klawiatur mechanicznych. Switche, keycapy, akcesoria oraz wiele więcej! Dostawa z Polski, z wysyłką w kilka godzin!
idk how much are those poland currency is but check those out
i don't think those are screw in
and keychron almost exclusively uses screw in stabs
ur keboard doesnt support clip ins ?
nope
sucks then
already in debt 200 bucks lol
yeah
rn my main priority is a new monitor tho
prob where my first paycheck is gonna go once i pay off the keyboard
bro went bankrupt for a keyboard 💔
it was worth it 💔
u paid 200 for that keychron ?
no not for my v1
i got the k2 he cause i saw the shippping cost on the others and wept
also bad he > non he ngl
and i've been abusing socd
and no i could not have gotten the wooting i had to buy on 1 specific marketplace that did not have it, i would've loved to buy that instead
hey at least the wood fits with all the furniture in my room
Mid but alr
yeah it was pretty much the only he keyboard available
Why people still failing for this advertising scam
my only gripe with it is the stbailizers being shit and the fact that it's a compact 75% so when i input strategems in helldivers i fatfinger enter a lot
Watuhmelon
waltermelon
75% is downgraded tkl
yeah
i like the 75% layout but this keyboard is literally the same size as the keychron v1
like almost 1 for 1
so it being compact is confusing to me cause it's 0 space saved for more fatfingering
Because is the same layout bruh
yes i know but the v1 is an exploded 75
Get a lemokwy or a q1 it looks completely the same in layout
Gay getting worse layout ahh
same width which with keyboards is pretty much the only dimension that matters
anywho if i ever switch off this it'll be to the wooting 80 he most likely
i need my function row and arrow keys
also the shade of the wood in the pics is not at all the shade you get, in person it's way redder
Buy made68
yeah it's one of the main reasons i gravitated towards it
i'll keep it in mind
yeah u made a bad decision lol
so better enjoy it while it lasts
yep, as long as you are happy with it
is my corsair k70 pro hot swappable??
you gotta be more specific with the name
theres like 40 corsair keyboards with k70
Gmmk pro
densus

any monitor recommendations for an oled, no budget
lg c series or msi 321qpx
Yunzii al75 pro good?
It works
What would be a good monitor for around 100-130 bucks, 165hz 1080p or 1440p?
depends on your system performance
usually if you are looking at that price range I guess your system is only capable of 1080p high fps ?
Does anyone have any experience with the Keris II ace? I was planning to buy the viper v3 pro but wanted to see if there are better options in terms of shape and quality since the overall mouse experience will be similar in terms of performance in the high end category
MSI G244PF E2
any mouse reccomendation for around 80 to 110 dollars?
Seems like no VIA support so if you want to change keybinds (or fn layers) then you'll need to use their mediocre software
g pro superlight 2 refurbished
Other than that apparently its ok
why
for some people*
who wouldnt it work for then
wired mouse enjoyers i guess but i had mine for a while and its good
you have so many mices similarly shaped and speced it's just not worth it honestly unless your market for mices is small in your region
the "clones" are lighter
which ones
ajazz, incott?, mchose
oh yeah
attack shark
one of the aj series
i think it was like 129 or 139?
not the best tho
yeah
got a moza R3 with some really good open box deals from micro center today, got everything for under 400. realized the clutch doesn’t work cus it’s a different type of pedal so imma have to return that 😭
what do yall think about the ak820 pro ? i need a new keyboard in that price range
this one
and i think im gonna return it
i really need that tactile feedback
i bought this to try linear out
and honestly
i just prefer feedback
Friend told me it was good
i think its better off for me to spend some time and money building the perfect keyboard instead of buying a keyboard that is "almost" perfect
Got a really stupid question.
I hate my Kailh keyswitches, how close to Cherry MX Blues are the Gateron Blues?
I should specify, i mean in actuation, these Kailh's are really sensitive and actuate before i even fully press it down, its kind of annoying
Every switch is
my other board with MX Blues is perfect, they actuate after the click, like intended
If you like it go get them
I wanted to try Gateron's, and i just wanted to know if anyone had experience with them and could tell me if they were accurate or not
Gateron blues? Dunno I'm not a clicky user (psychopath)
With all due respect mate a built keyboard is way more expensive, takes time and I'm too lazy
Hence why I'm looking at the ak820 instead
but like i cant find any high end clicky keyboard
they all go for linear switches
with changable actuation point
Gang actually ignore what I said
I misread and thought u replied to me
why
Go try some gatreon smoothies
Or gatreon cream soda
I thought u were telling me to build a kb Im tired lol
Very solid
Go for it bro
do etiher of those allow rgb to go through them
Click click click..

where do i even start though
i cant tell from the photos, my board has the lights under the switches
Yes
Pc or pom housing iirc
Idk ask here
ngl that spacebar sounds ass
Where tf is the original message this is replying to even, tried clicking it and it doesn't work
I love the gareron melodics
They use a clickbar and there's like no travel before the click
U are just being biased towards those
Thats too good for a clickies to soubd
it doesnt sound good with the clicky switches
Nah he right space bar is ass
I like it
Technically yeah
As much as I like clicky switches I mean
But that’s the best u can get out if mx blues
then dont use mx blues for the spacebar 🤷♂️
Buy vintage blues
most people don’t prefer mx blues over other clicky options available on the market
Idk why you'd go to an alternative like gateron or kailh but try to find something as close as possible to cherry
Which is cherry itself
Read the original question lmao
Justbuy a new one or a completely old one
okay so tell me, what if i want keyswitches that feel identically to MX Blues, but not be anywhere near as loud
you're gonna have to compromise on feel somewhere
No clicks ? Get those heavy tactiles
no, i want clicks, but not as loud
Good luck lol
Gateron Browns?
I think kalih box jade did the thing
it won't feel identical but you can get quieter clicky switches
Gatreon browns isnt a clicky
i don’t think you’ll be able to achieve this other than lubing, which will also ruin the feel you’re looking for
the feel i want is it to be tactile and only actuate AFTER the click, not before
if i could somehow get a board that uses dome switches i would love that
that's like every clicky ever
time for the guy here to shill real force :trol:
what do yall think of this sound
What about Razer switches?
Topre is
@floral perch so you’re looking for this?
Clack
basically, the Kailh's im on now are SUPER sensitive and actuate before the click even occurs
they have 3 generic options
So maybe just not those then
That's weird
Shithole lol
which kailh do you have?
Brown
aren't Razer switches all optical now
Then the switch is broken
Im understand that the switch activate randomly
look
they dont activate randomly, the activation on all of them occurs way before im even near the click
Oh before you even bear the click
its actually screwing with how i type really bad
Ehh thats normal
I don't think that's normal but I guess I don't have a wide range of clickies
Just type faster u will barely notice
