I can tell you right now that i’m on 91% and if i turn off all rgb, the keyboard can last another 1003 hours before needing a charge
Oh baby. Thanks for the detailed review. Think I’ll go for a tenkeyless since my 810 has a tenkey if I need it for work lol. Appreciate it
Can someone help me do a custom keyboard build 75%, with moon v2 linear switches and like either a white, light purple theme, or the matcha pbt key caps with budget being £200-£300, and if there's something better that's not a customer keyboard then recommend me one I should buy
my gaming keyboard (drunkdeer a75 pro) stopped working all of a sudden. any alternatives i could buy that arent too pricy?
a lot of the "top 10 keyboards" are hard to get outside of the us, and id love to also catch a black friday week deal
(i think) HE is important to me, i wasnt very dissatisfied with the feel of the keyboard, but for some reason i always made typos with the keyboard that i never did with any other previous one
i prefer TKL but i could go with less if i had to as long as it still has some function keys on it. value for price, being hotswappable, and reliability are my priority. but i dont wanna buy "the best budget keyboard" that dies after a month but is still "good for the price"
not neccesarily asking an entire retelling of keyboard history, just curious if you guys have some underdogs and reliable competitors to sth. like wooting 80he that i can look for a deal on
ive had an eye on the keychron bois, but ive heard they massive issues with delay
next time ill put on subway surfers on the side, dw
you seem to know what you want, so I'm not sure what the Reddit user ass monologue was about.
context
if i just say "i vant new keyboard k bye" its hard for people to know what i want. ive been told to get fragile or soldered keyboards cause "theyre cheap" and i had others tell me that "latency is not important"
but tbf not a lot of people on this server like reading, so ig youre right
my only recommendation for he keyboards is that dont get he
sacrifices feel, sound and via compatibility for basically no performance difference
i saw 75 and stopped reading
ive not ever had a tiktok
i mean, every corner of the internet told me its the one gimmick that isnt just a marketing trick
might be a futureproofing scam tho maybe
HE switches sound and feel like shit
^
eh, had no issues with sound so far
why ask for others opinion then
but im no pro. i hate to admit but i always switched back to my membrane low profile wireless logi keyboard for long text stuff
honestly sounds like you would like topre but thats another story
pff mate you good? i just had i had no issues. i didnt tell you to feel ashamed and reflect upon your actions
just get whatever he you think looks good
literally
https://github.com/thocctober/GEONWORKS/tree/main/Frog Mini
make this and buy a frog mini, drop in a wooting
shouldnt i consider value for price? dont wanna get a keyboard that dies on me after 4 months again
buy the wooting 60
one of them being wooting
dont like 60% layout
im not a radical minimalist
and 80he is way too pricy for my budget sadly
you have like no good he board to use then
buy a geon venom tkl pcb and a frog tkl
just get whatever suits your requirement
problem solved
so real
@crisp patrol
a keyboard i never want to replace
;)
sounds liek someone needs to buy a topre realforce tkl then
or gx1/rgb if you want those gaming features
did you see the new RF 75%?
it's unironically amazing
doesnt feel realforce
its really good
but nice to have more layouts for topre
damn, now that i think about it, there should be a spill resistance rating for keyboards
https://mechanicalkeyboards.com/products/topre-realforce-rc1-75-bluetooth-keyboard
there is the listing
75% form factor, the smallest and lightest Realforce design ever Connect 2 ways- wired with USB-C cable or wirelessly with Bluetooth Connect to up to four devices Genuine Topre capacitive switches with APC (actuation point changer), allows for adjusting switch actuation point between 4 levels: 0.8mm, 1.5mm, 2.2mm, and
Linus team should get on it
its pretty much the same price range as the wooting 80he. prolly still over my budget unless i wanna full gamble
this was ironic btw. i wish i could reach that point
i feel like you are a simpler and happier person than i am
you dont even get tempted by TKL
didnt you say you dislike 75%
I do
i thought you meant as in too bulky
damn, thats cool
usually everyone is about shrinking everything
neat to find an enthusiast on the other end
im just tired of the low end keyboard debate daily in here
thats lal
all
they are all generally the same
hard to find because this is LTT and not a dedicated keyboard discord
i mean its not a tech support focused discord either. not trying to be rude, but this is the server i had the most issues with getting respones on tech related questions compared to all others with a tech support chat
especially if my question is more than 5 words
people are jaded because they get asked the same thing dozens of times per day
it turns into memes
fair. not blaming anyone directly
its just that in the end the result is the same. people ask them twice bc they felt ignored the first time, only making the meme more pronounced
still, thx for the input. i really like how unique the nuphy looks, and im scared to trust keychron. i dont wanna relive my previous buying mistakes that happened due to blind recommendation trust from youtube reviews and discord servers
anyways, HE is still in a phase where software is vastly different between brands and manufacturers.
wish i could find more actual latency tests on these. most just say "manufacturer says X but we cant test it bc we dont have the tools"
most of it is negligible
latency isn’t mostly the issue anymore with recent keyboard releases but with HE i’d be rather worried about the tolerances, how accurate the keyboard actually registers
if you want cheap HE i’d look up chinese markets or just aliexpress
but as stated above, software support varies and it’s usually bad

well, im asking here bc you guys have experience. i dont wanna say i want gold plated, but i dont want the weird plastic you get from cheap products that makes you hands feel greasy
not sure wym by plastic that makes your hands feel greasy?
ideally you should look for pbt keycaps on budget, they’re more resistant agaisnt grease and don’t get shiny as quickly as other types of plastic like abs, though that depends on the composition of them, etc.
you never had really cheap plastic?
and i dont just mean level of detail or stability
uh, i don’t eat while using the keyboards
no i dont mean eat the keycaps
while
I like eating keycaps
strawberry flavored PBT 😋
anyways, reason why your keycaps turn shiny after using them for years is because plastic has micro pores and the oils that’s in your sweat seep into them, that’s why.
if they feel greasy or sticky you should clean those keycaps
abs is non-porous
how did you even get to this conclusion
it is
surface level counts
how it wouldn’t be porous if your keycaps have a texture?
PBT also shines
bruh the texture is derived from the mold
ye PBT can get shiny as well, it just takes more time
I wish people put more effort into learning then they did yapping
yeah but it takes way longer than cheapo abs
otherwise, explain why the abs plastic doesn’t let go of the grease, you can clean it however you want but once it seeps into the plastic it won’t leave
there isn’t chemical reaction going on is there?
source?
have you actually ever tried to clean plastic shine?
you cannot
jade>white
in every way
besides price
I love abs
you’re removing surface of the plastic? it’s not supposted to get reflective unless you break some, it’s like polishing but your skin isn’t harder than plastic
bro is saying abs doesnt shine
BIOCC moment
i mean, give me your source why you think so it gets shiny
shine from use
its common sense
you should be the one providing a source for your claim lol
ok
let me give you an example
okay, common sense, not everyone knows why plastic gets shiny, you’re just telling me it happens
mice right
when you grip and use them
much of your hand is in contact
but over prolonged use
why when i put keycaps into grease it gets shiny? explain.
only areas where your fingers constantly rub start shining or wearing down
even though other parts were in contact with your skin
they didn't wear
yes but why exactly
are you not able to come to such a simple logical conclusion
your finger is rubbing away the material
I have a cap where you can see the stem through the top
it's shiny as fuck
ur not sanding down the keycap, the plastic is harder than your skin and it’s not brittle enough to break on it’s own
it clearly is if I can see the stem
it’s rather because of the oils and reactions that leach stuff from the plastic because your sweat isn’t just water and salt
this is so autistic
my sis touched my monitor with her makeup that’s abs plastic. i cannot clear it even with isopropyl, no matter how much i try
same goes for sweat
that’s not physical wear
he's still going
have you considered the fact that makeup might contain solvents
yes, that’s not like rubbing
literally me explaining the whole time
even ur sweat contains stuff that can wear plastic
unless you want to count water
at best
you can explain the skin oils act as a lubricant for your fingers
like how water is used when lapping
it can in minimal amounts produce certain chemicals that indeed damage plastic
again do cite your source
he's huffing those chemicals
if you want to go against established knowledge you have to prove what you're saying is right
sec, i’ll find what sweat contains, hand a sec

we wish this convo was over
acids and ammonia are found in sweat which when you prolongely expode to plastic can weaken them or other additives found in those plastics
they can contribute to material breakdowns
i mean, your key switches constantly rub agaisnt each other and they don’t get shiny
it does in very low amounts
source?
ABS Chemical Compatibility Information with popular chemicals and materials
if you just google it, unless all of the first 5 sources that pop up are wrong
yes they do actually
if its so simple why don't you send the link here
and when you actuate them enough the plastic becomes so worn that switches will not work due to loss of material
again, explain then why my spacebar when i put it into krytox grease got shiny, maybe fluorine?
not even isopropyl fixed things
why did you put it in krytox grease
yea wtf
it was the exact same when as with usygaw
leave the hobby on god
that stuff is industrial grease
curiosity
its not supposed to come off easily
the shine behaves the same as with regular usage
alot of people forget that krytox is actually meant for very demanding use cases
omg
I feel like people argue just for the sake of arguing even when they are clearly wrong
i hope someday you learn how important it is to realise and admit you're wrong kvetinky
even if you don't admit it publicly
okay, i haven’t noticed shine inside my switches unless i applied lube, and at most i saw wear along edges when those stems were unevenly making contact
clear marks
I'm not speaking with you about this
you're not a fun person to speak to. nor do I have the patience to deal with you
can you send the link
so I can read it
instead of sending me a bunch of headlines
Sweat contains ammonia. However, neither its source nor factors affecting its concentration in the sweat are known. The aim of this study was to examine the effect of plasma concentrations of ammonia and urea on the concentration of ammonia in the sweat. Four groups of male volunteers were examined: …
or like pick any of the first searches, i mean you can check them based on the headlines
yeah, still a 25€ uptick in price
ok i see
but i dont wanna cheap out
all this yap about abs plastic and it's out of kvetinkys budget entirely
now let me counter with
for any of his builds
okay, why though? isopropyl is a great solvent for it not?
keep in mind the D rating was tested at a 60c temperature
inside the switches i assume? i mean if you try to clean a lump of paste with isopropyl it’s not going to be great either, for surface cleaning it is good
I've cleaned more switches then you've used in your lifetime. please stop being a pretentious clown
okay, then how do i remove that krytox from the keycap, i mean i already pretty much removed the lube but it was shiny, what should i use next to remove it?
I'm not going to dip the spacebar from a 100+$ keycap set in grease
I'm ngl with you
literally NOBODY has done that but you
it’s $1 for a pbt keycap
buy another one then
or well, $1 for a whole set
buy one
ok
problem solved
@boreal rivet if makeup contains stuff that can breakdown plastic how are you sure sweat doesn’t too?
he's still going
because the composition of sweat has been studied and defined
you're grasping for straws here dude
just stop
uh, this is straight up misleading i just realized, isn’t it all about hardness?
huh
well what do you think?
they would not wear down the surface effectively, at most when some particle that’s harder than the steel would
clearly not right?
now you’re just gaslighting because that is a nonsense?
you cannot polish a material with a one that’s softer, otherwise you’d just damage the one that’s softer
why do watch manufacturers use it to polish watch cases
it does, because it’s harder than steel?
you said it is not
ah yes so thin plastic is harder than steel
if it was not as hard as steel or less it would simply not polish the steel at all
here let me give you another example
plastic model hobbyists use sandpaper with aluminium oxide abrasive to sand plastic parts
uh, why do you* pretend like you know what you’re talking about… silicon carbide has hardness of 9
yet the sandpaper will lose effectiveness over time
despite the abrasives being use on a softer material
why?
isn't aluminium oxide harder than plastic
lapping paper often uses silicon carbide
you can’t call that “ a piece of thin plastic “
you know not all lapping paper are the same right
“i’ve changed”
and yet you’re spitting shit like you know it
oh damn, that just made this situation much better
i never knew
that makes sense
those that are softer than the material you’re trying to polish will not work
ask like anyone
because it’s harder lol
what about the sandpaper
it’s not just about the molecules, it’s about the structure, you know if you align carbon molecules properly it’s extremely strong you mean this? but that’s literally the hardness
no shit
same thing lol
if the sandpaper surface was softer it would get polished instead of it polishing the material you’re trying to polish
how is that not understandable?
you claimed softer material can polish harder one, can i get a source?
no shit you can polish steel with “just plastic”
bruh life does not work in absolutes
its not as simple as if its softer it'll get polished instead
same thing as you can’t polish plastic with your skin unless the plastic has been compromised by some sort
plastic cannot polish steel, give me a source if you stand behind that
and source that lists skin can polish plastic as well would be nice (without the plastic being chemically weakened)
nails can scratch/polish/damage certain plastics, skin alone cannot
it’s not as simple as rubbing fingers agaisnt surface of your keycaps will wear them down

this guy has to be an AI ragebait chatbot
why do i even bother answering, you guys are claiming that abrasion can happen on steel when you rub plastic agaisnt it?
on which world?
didn’t i say fluorine? do you even read my messages “grasping for straws”
abrasion hardly happens on the harder material that’s getting rubbed agaisnt the softer ones, especially when the softer ones is magnitudes less hard than the harder one like for example steel vs plastic, bonds on the softer material will break down because they simply cannot polish the steel
same thing goes for diamonds
they will polish steel because they bond is much stronger
and same thing goes for your skin and plastic, unless the plastic is compromised/weakened chemically
that and oils contribute to shine you see on your keycaps
Keep going bruh
for REAL
i gave bad example for krytox so i said fluorine, i meant fluorinated solvent that’s my bad but that still doesn’t change the fact your keycaps have micro pores and krytox/oils like to stay in those
because you’re denying anything i say, even if it makes you the one that’s wrong
just to troll ig
i don’t want to chat with ya but if you make such claims i do prefer to address stuff
From my perspective you are also denying anything I say
because saying lapping paper is just a piece of plastic and that it can polish steel (as the plastic being the contact of polishing) is hilarous
you implied
Oh ok
it cannot be just a piece of plastic it literally implies it if you say that
piece of plastic is piece of plastic, that doesn’t mean it’s a piece of plastic if it’s coated in diamonds lol
is this another some sort of trolling
I admit
I was wrong about the lapping paper
doesn't disprove the mouse analogy though
🤷♂️
how has that to do with material though, i mean i respect the sources you gave how much those chemicals actually wear down plastic but simply rubbing plastic with skin doesn’t abrade it
there have to be other factors to it
like dirt
my fingers are clean as hell
Indeed
i mean sweat still does get on your keycap and weaken the plastic and only probably then they can abrade the plastic, the polishing process gets faster with oils, dirt and it’s unavoidable if you’re using the keycaps constantly, unless you want to like wear gloves and keep the keycaps in a vacuum
haven't I already proven that the components in sweat don't react with the plastic if it all
if it was just pure skin to plastic contact, you’d polish your whole finger to the bone
I already said at best you can say the sweat is acting as a lubricant
which I agree with
it is not however your original argument
yeah i meant it like your skin alone will not damage/wear the plastic
without other factors
that’s why the “chemicals”
and oils
your fingers rubbing against the keycap is the main factor
your argument was the oils weaken and make the keycap shine
without rubbing being a factor
yes, without that the keycap wouldn’t get shiny but there have to be other factors
my argument was the shine happens because oils get into the poures
no abrasion happens
in that case
abs plastic is non-porous with a moisture absorption of <1% at 50% rh
but how much? does that include surface level
even steel is porous on the surface, also by porous i just meant not polished, my bad as well
grease can still get stuck on abs plastic surface
sexy
like materials can be considered porous or not depending on how larger those pores are
all abs shines
abs shines from wear
end of story
like you could say wood is not porous but is it because you can compress it and then it’s even less porous and absorbs even less
wood is very obviously porous
it is but depends on what you’re comparing it to
dinky are you just basing this off of you having greasy hands
all plastic are permeable to a point even if it’s extremely low
that’s why they’re considred non permeable
you also for example have uv filters they’re considered to not let uv light through but they actually do just low amounts
@boreal rivet i’m just curious if you do agree or not, obviously some of my statements are wrong because i’m not experienced to understand it all or i just can’t express them
yes that is true, thus it is considered a non-porous material
absorption if any is so low that it is not a factor at all
so why do you keep trying to argue that it is
if it interacts with the material isn’t it then?
your sweat interacting with the plastic, weakening it
i mean, if you’d spill sunflower oil on a keycap and let it sit there for a day it would for sure get shiny
and you wouldn’t be able to clean it even with the best solvent
give it a few hundred years and maybe and some oil would eventually get under the keycap, seeping through the whole material slowly
non permeable doesn’t mean absolutely non permeable
but that really depends, alot of factors play in it
we’ve already established that sweat does not weaken abs
And definitely not in the so small it’s not a factor quantities
okay but then what does exactly make the keycaps shiny? for polishing the skin is too soft if there are no other roles playing
Bruh
i genuienly want to know it
imo it’s the combination of rubbing and exposure to oils, chemicals, dirt
shifting?
oh wow ty for this list, will look into it
btw do you think it is a hassle to use FN keys on a 65% keyboard? Like I wouldn't mind 65% but I feel like having to hold the FN key and pressing a number may be a bit annoying at times... not sure though
I was looking into my used market, I decided I'm okay with a used one. But the problem is the lack of F key row since I see mostly 65%'s
some ones I found are:
Keychron K1, K2, K3, K8, K12 M3
Langtu GK65
Ziyoulang K68
Red Dragon K552
I tried a 60% keyboard once... I ended up returning it because it was just annoying to use (btw Amazon returns are a god send if you just want to test something like that).
End of the day it's subjective to what you think would look best and feel best using. I'm honestly fairly new to the hobby and have only owned a total of 4 (mechanical) keyboards, before that I was a membrane Andy. So unfortunately I'm a little useless when it comes to that and mainly poke about on forums to see what people say about stuff I like the look of. I think you'd be able to get used to no F keys pretty easily though.
I use fn keys on 65’s, will take some time to get used to it
I mean how often do you actually use f row
Daily
at times most used keys for a week
entering bios when something goes wrong on an oc
Alt + F4 is often quicker than pressing close on a window, F12 is very handy for inspecting stuff on a website. Honestly besides that not often 🤣
F row barely takes any desk space unlike when your keyboard is wider, which some people don’t have enough of but aesthetic reason is understandable
I mainly use f4 (closing apps), f5 (refreshing stuff), f11 (fullscreen)
60% is a no-go for me
I need my arrow keys
I cannot imagine writing code without arrow keys
slightly unpopular opinion but HHKB layout is fire
using fn is better than actual keys bcs way less hand movement
and having ctrl on caps makes it way easier to reach ot
I know the feel, that's personally why I opt for 75-80. On a side note, some keyboards can easily have the keys remapped. So if you see a cheap one that looks good and you might just want a key in a different place, or one replaced with another, might be worth a look. 😛
is this the place when i need help with buying a new keyboard or shall i make a post in #1106613567966429224 ?
This will work
great 😄
so, i was looking at after over 10 years of using some cheap rubberdome keyboard to go to a mechanical one.
primarily for gaming. i definitely want a cabled one since battery swapping annoys me.
ISO-DE is also a must, but i can check myself if thats available.
what would be great but not 100% a must if i miss out on other upseides, would be a rather quiet keyboard.
i saw the epomaker rt 100 but i think that is too silent for me, like i still want to have audio feedback on pressing a key, but since i live with my gf and out bed is in the same room as the PC, since we use it to watch movies, and sometimes imawake when she sleeps and with my current keyboard i have to be careful not to wake her up.
100% layouts would be preferred, but im totally down to save a bit of money by going smaller, although i would at least keep the arrow keys.
so clicky is out of the question and i think i would prefer tactile switches
and i dont want to spend more than like 90€
sth around the endorfy thock level maybe
if u want to look at prices, the best german price comparison website is geizhals.de
90 euro, demanding a full size prebuilt tactile keyboard and iso in german
Keychron
num pad is really just a "i'd take it if its only 5€ more"
these seem to be the offers (i set it to english which changes currency and some prices)
but nothing to worry about
aesthetics absolutely dont matter to me btw
nvm didnt filter for DE layout and the first TKLs start at 120
anything in here thats decent for my purposes?
also there are optical keyboards like some razer huntsman variations, the EVGA Z20 around the 85€ mark and even a 70€ one, the speedlink orios, which is the brand my current keyboard and mouse are and im very happy with it. speedlink in germany is known a bit for being one of the best, if not the best budget brand when it comes to peripherals, but its only a 15-20€ difference which im happy to pay if i know what im getting
How does this build sound, purple yc8 coiled cable, Neo75 cu with (brass bottom, anodised purple, vortex silver, wired hotswap PCB, POM plate), Octopus PBT Keycaps and Moon V2 Linear switches.
Any keychron but K serires
im not spending 200 bucks
Thocky
K serires is bad
Thocky?
11 year old 30 bucks rubberdome then
I was kinda going for more creamy that thocky
There isn't a foam option
There is ??
Ok
thocky
Does anybody know a really budget friendly hot swappable 96% keyboard? I've been thinking about the royal kludge rk100, but i want to see other options before i buy anything
Anyone have suggestions on keyboards ( budget: $350 ) that not only has macro support but also lighting ( games: valorant, cod. battelfeild, destiny 2, lost ark and strinova ) - also it having macro buttons would be wonderful ( 75%+ )
I just bought this one. Has 5 macro keys I think. The Logitech software supports tons of games for your lighting requirement. ~$230 normally but on sale rn for like $140ish
Solid
Keyboards are subjective so hope you like it!
Got it for $84 so odds are stacked heavily in its favor🤓
Thanks for the detailed showcase yesterday!
Did you get the TKL or Full Size btw?
Here’s a review by Linus of the TKL variant if interested:

I found myself playing games more often than working late and I think it's time to make the switch to a TKL keyboard! Does Logitech G915 with their new GL Switches make the grade?

TKL. My g810 is full, so if I really need a tenkey I can swap. That or I can swap to my k250 from work lol. Excited for the extra desk space from the 915 TKL
that's usually the first thing people notice when cutting down size lol
i let my ex roomate borrow a 60% and he was amazed by how much more space he had for his mouse lol
do you guys recommend the k1 keychron in all white
or should i get something else for 100$
any recommendations 65% keyboards
recently found out about rapid trigger and now i want one with it😂
budget $100 - 200
must sound good af and would be nice if it's available on amazon or at least shipped to europe
Hall effect keyboards sound kinda... Mid
But
I have a Nuphy Air60HE and that thing is pretty aight
First keyboard on the market that's Hall Effect and low profile
Either hall effect or good sounding
At that price I usually recommend just getting a leobog hi75
It's kinda busted for its price
Nahh full navy 😋
is keychron this one good?
bad?
for the price yeah
I don't recommend buying it, but if you already have one it'll work at least
why how bad?
it’s okay, not good
hmm
it depends on if it supports qmk
k is the wireless?
the k8 pro does support qmk/via
honestly no
you can prob get something better off aliexpress
but unsure about the regular k8 i don’t think it does
well if its pro or max then depends on the switch
regular K is a no (for me at leaast)
yeah, there’s not really point of getting the k8 if there’s no qmk support
at that point just buy something from aliexpress
regular K doesnt even have dampeners afaik
yes
oof
okay, that’s bad
why would anyone buy that
what are dampeners lol
like the foam?
yes
cheap plastic, no qmk (on a keychron lol) and there’s no foam?
OK i will not buy it
i just ordered a 8x3 split
kinda
love me some ortho
gonna have to flash a bootloader tho
thatll be a learning experienc
i want 99% though
also the hi75 is £40 more
if you really like the aula just buy it through chinese markets
you’ll find it there for 30-40% of the price
- shipping
aliexpress is more expensive on then on amazon
and idk about goofy shit like temu
says it’s £30 with £80 shipping
through an agent though
you don’t want to buy directly
i just searched it up on the taobao website
my knowledge of mandarin is not useless after all
you visit some agent’s website, put the product link from taobao, ask the agent how much will the product cost and shipping total, etc, etc.
effort
i’ll just buy it on amazon for cheap
i doubt tao bao will be cheaper anyway
I kinda doubt that considering that's it's total price, unless the other boards are free
hi75 is £100
what?
it’s £100 for me on amazon
fully built that is
this is the only one i found but that requires amazon prime
which i do not have
the kits go for under £100
Check from the epomaker seller
Epomaker distributed them
£100
They'll list it for $70 and have a $20 off coupon usually
that prime only deal is £50
Which makes it really $50
but £100 without prime
That's the normal price
They do the whole "call it a discount but always" thing
normal price is £100
If you don't want to look it's available on AliExpress for that same price
There isn't a 100% tax for imports in England...
idk
normal price is £100
there isn’t one that’s under £100
prime only deal doesn’t count for obvious reasons
EPOMAKER x LEOBOG Hi75 Aluminum Alloy Wired Mechanical Keyboard, Programmable Gasket-mounted Gaming Keyboard with Mode-Switching Knob, Hot Swappable, NKRO, RGB (White Purple, Ice Cyan Switch) https://amzn.eu/d/4depWii
Took me 2 seconds
Tons of others for the same price on Amazon uk
If you don't want to look I can't make you
Like literally this was the first result
And there are like 10 more listings around that price
please show me
there is not a single hi75 for under £100 on amazon uk
except for the £95 barebones kit
I just checked and there is, but if you don't want to look then use AliExpress...
please show me
I'm not switching back to Amazon uk again
ok
anyway i want a 98% keyboard not a 75
You can do the bare minimum of searching
i did as much research as i could
i even looked at the way back machine and it was never sold under £100
there has never been a single hi75 sold under £100 on amazon uk
(prebuilt and not prime only deals)
i’ll just get the f99
i need numpad
You could try Keychron
those are a lot more but if they are better then sure
They are expensive but worth the money, imo. Keychron K4 might be ideal for you. Just leaving that option there for you. Check it out see if it meets your needs. Better is relative to the person using it.
help me name my 25%
im bad at names
paul
i need a paul
maybe i need to stop naming things after apostles
anna
cup anna half
What would judas think
The quarter
see its actually 24 keys
nah
i need macros too
also that seems highly impractical
They're mostly gonna be worse, but they'll be in the size you want.
so more expensive and worse
K series is pretty terrible
You're the one who wants a less competitive or common size
Not much you can do about that
I have had 0 issues with mine so.
why would i get a keychron k4 if its worse then the f99 and more expensive?
Doesn't matter if it's worse than boards a fraction its price
F99 is probably better than k4, but its also not a great value board. If you really need that form factor though, it sounds like you've already made up your mind
its that or bite the bullet and get a tkl
I'd say get tkl tbh
ill just get a mouse with a numpad on it
It's much more competitive
just get a seperate numpad
you can southpaw it too which should be easier to use if you are right handed
seperate munpad would take more space then a 100% keyboard lol
but you can southpaw it (put it to your left)
also 75%+numpad is smaller if not equally as large as a full size
i dont see my self doing that ever
Name it “how many hours a day”
ill just order the f99
hourglass
dont complain if you dont have other suggestions
My 65% project named as The p*ssy
yall name your boards?
Well you know where i got that inspiration
honestly not much option for mid range/budget full size
most full size are premium boards
both are nearly triple the price
Im thinking of making one and sell it as a gb run yk
triple the cost
what board
shit aint cheap
We are still designing it
no like what size
65
👀
just get the aula
Sketch of weight design xd
most people i see that have them have double the desk space i do lol
HHKB layout 🔥

no I mean this
hhkb layout is so fire
Dont say u post these in r/pcmr
oh my god the 3rd one
nah
Dont mind my post tho ( i didnt get banned)
65% and below is the cutoff area for me
honestly a large reason I like small boards (at first) is bcs I dont haave to buy a pack more of switches and numpad kit for keycaps
Are u a coder or smth
Then why do u so desperately need a fullsize
i use the keyboard
Dont say u post these in pcmr
i need more keys for certain things
hell yeah

that thing is a masterpiece
too much space
My project inspired by a chat around that board tho
you should search it up
too much space
If 🐱 65 succed i will make a 20% too
added cable is sad
The *umpad
it literally takes less space than a 96%
😂
Wireless
also just saying but 65%+pad is arnd as wide as a 96%
2 hours of battery life
but less tall
2 weeks actually
proof?
my hhkb lasts 2 months
2 weeks but you dont use it at all for the first week
no rgb=battery life
Hey you know, if u want to stick with budget full size, fine
well its dry cells but still
ok anyway
Just dont complain it here when it is malfunctioned or smth
good 98% keyboards under £100?
i think thats perfectly good reason to complain
We gave u some better alternative solutions which is more budget wised for you but seems like u dont like it
infi100
you did not give me an alternative
only budget full size that doesnt suck ass
well the company is a dickhead but its products are good
"budget"
yes
U didnt happy with a 65% /tkl + numpad
taobao
$150 is more then my budget
£137.5 on there
They are 99.99 here
included shipping?
i found that exact one with £70 extra shipping
ok

Ortho linear at home :
how much is one numpad
Depends
whatever
no idea I dont buy numpads
i dont see any alternatives so im buying the aula f99
Akko 3098
from where?
10 millions colorways
i am using it stock
Worse than keychron, better than most budgets
better than K series
i want something that wont break after like a year and a couple months
you should get RK
I will take a logi k120 over any k serires
Still working
what is that
honestly keyboards dont rly break (unless its rk)
My keuboard
vintages still work fine
Or u intended to
Well i did try to apply a supper thick pe foam on this keyboard
Their hotswap socket popped out and stick to the tape mod
buy an AEK
I am actually suprised no socket popped on me yet
I push the plate full of switches back to the pcb all the time
rare recommendation that is not a realforce
wanted to look at this too
Oh my god go away
battlefield 4 reference
U can consider a monsgeek m2/m5w
only good option for poors
ill buy this instead
any keychron besides the most basic K series would be better than aula
dont
time to find the RK archive
Yes, best ones
Good pixk
i have that somewhere
That imgur ablum is legendary
like 40 keyboards broke
I couldnt find my imgur app lol
this would also look nice https://drop.com/buy/gmk-white-on-black-custom-keycap-set
Are they on sale rn
Not my style but it would look good
I have some cerakeys coming in soon
ok just ordered aula f99
oh
hall effect then i guess
but these magnetic keyboards cant be good sounding?
steno layout?
nah some homebrew minimal colemak
is there layers?
like to make some letters
it looks like it on the diagram
yeah
Good is subjective
he = slop
Peg board ?
Thock
wonder if the hi98 is better
it is
fc980c is better
i shared with the floaters already but figure everyone else would like my new work keyboard
Anybody can suggest any creamy sounding keyboards?
Evo80
link? Please
I am undecided between a Logitech G413 SE, Endorfy GK650K and Keychron K8 Pro (doesn't have TK tho) (Austria) Any opinions?
k8 pro is the best out of those but that one is bad as well
combos?
ye
Please note: Two shipping methods are available for the Evo80—sea freight (30–35 days after we send out the package) and DHL Air Shipping (7–10 days after we send out the package). Expand the shipping method menu on the checkout page to select your preferred option. Sea freight option is only available for non-remote a
Thank you
The oat switch with pp switch option
I just bought one for a newbie friend and he loves it
I do not personally, i aimed for higher pitched sound
Im a little iffy in-between if i like creamy or poppy sounding keyboards as well

I am open for suggestions, budget is best price to performance and under 100€ including shipping and all (here in Austria)
is the attack shark k75 rgb a good kb
oh, right aliexpress can’t ship to you?
They do, i just dont want to buy from them
why
I believe there arw some vendors in EU region
And u dont have o buy from ali
Evo80 got both iirc
Does it look good the keycaps style I made?
thats not layers?
is a "not a via" thing, not just a vial thing :)
probably more a qmk thing in this context but
zmk go brr
i was just talking about via vs vial
fair
fr
What keyboard do you recommend then?
if you like vial over qmk fair
but its not just the wirelesss
it's just simpler for certain designs
hell none of my zmk boards are wireless
most don't even have wireless capabilities
rp2040 go brr
rp2040 is goated
what's the difference
How much force is too much on a keyboard?
Im afraid of breaking the board
Update, I’m getting it, just it’s a bit stressing (probably doesn’t help to have cats around)
combos means they press down simultaneously
layers = toggles?
so like fn
It’s finished, was pretty stressing but very rewarding
Can anyone recommend a wireless 75% keyboard for maximum £100
sk75 does the job
Thanks ✅
Would you go for sk75 or corsair k75 plus?
for sure not a corsair keyboard
at 100 quid you can get an aluminum keyboard
Cheers will order now
check other ones as well, there are dozen aluminum 75%’s
barebone kits as well
womier sk75 was just an example but it’s not bad for the price
Will do so such a noob for keyboards lol
Iv heard wooting is good
do you want customizable actuation? and key function based on how hard you press a key
I ideally want the “snappy tappy” feature but don’t really care about the rest, nice sounding pre lubed switches would be a ideal i guess
I got gifted the corsair k100 air so using that currently with my MacBook but want a gaming keyboard
For pc
i’m not updated on it but i think it’s still banned, atleast in some valve games
buy HE if you will actually utilize the features, otherwise it’s just a waste of money for worse sound
and more limited switch options as of now
Makes sense
You know what would be good? A realforce. Jk
(Should we do realforce jokes when people are asking genuine questions and they probably don’t know a lot)
it confuses people no
buy a realforce
Filco
Mxidjine mentioned
💀💀
Keychron is nice but if u love yourself dont buy k serires and older v serires
Buy a realforce
forgotforce
What game u are playing
Oh yeah, I got my keyboard built, definitely happy with it
I had no idea how much better it would actually be
If u are not an actual sweat then u never have any good reason to by a HE
Cool stuff, what did u build ?
Isn’t the advantage very minimal anyway?
Only inviduals benefits from them are the top 1%’s of that game
Galaxy 80 with Akko yellow cream pro v3s (and a decent looking keycap set, although I don’t think that matters as much), probably could have done better although it is my first build
Not bad for a first build
But akko v3 switches is pretty dated
These days people love to use hmx switches
I was a bit worried about the board being black (the white wasn’t available), although it works out
I can also change out the red keys for white and gray keys as well
Although I like the red keycaps personally
U do ?
I definitely played it a bit too safe
Dcs red alert
I think so right now, I mean I can always change them later too
It’s not like I’m stuck with a certain set of keycaps for the keyboard
tf is that colorway
beige on white is crazy
The listing looked decent to me, so I decided to get it
Is it the best color way? Probably not, could have done better, although I think it looks decent
odd combo
(That could change later on)
I was planning on a white board, which probably would have looked better
There is no such thing as “best”. Works to you doesnt mean it works to me
So there’s that
True
Just buy gmk wob
Plus if u pay over 50 for this keycap set i will be dying laughing
The idea was more of an older looking keyboard, like the white and beige type thing, since that sounded interesting
I think it was like under $15
Like $13 or something with a sell
I believe it’s from womier
I hope you didn't pay too much for those red caps
They came with it
the legends are so off centered
