What would be a good keyboard then?
realforce
Which model in specific
R1 104u 55g or r2-us5
Is that a split you're going to be connecting with RJ45??
yes :D
Cool
And probably safer, shorting-wise (edit: not probably, it's clearly safer, even if not hot pluggable)
i realize rn i could skip the shift register with a pro micro
that would make it qmk compatible
Just ordered my wooting….
are you going to be using cat4 cables or what?
whatever cat i got
ah
i have 1ft cables
box?
a spool I mean
ah
Implement your own scanning logic in qmk and use a shift register anyways 🙂
I plan on doing that but I havent gotten around to it, not actually sure how you implement such a feature
surely its just a few write and read calls on a loop
ZMK gud
you can always bitbang
but if im writing a scanner itll be for the attiny
Is attiny calable of being a keyboard?
technically!
How long did it take for you to arrange those loose caps and switches
Lame
Erm what
So GWT found that there can be diffrence between listed travel and actual travel on switches. Along with the force required. And because of the varience they're increasing their sample size.
Wow it’s almost as if tolerances and shrinking exists
sound after redesigning the mount
Already have a keyboard full of Ari Yellows
sounds like a keyboard
can someone identify this keyboard? all i know is its old and wooden and uses some really weird connector
Leobog Hi75 and Akko Rosewoods (completely stock, no modification done to board, stabs, or switches)
sounds surprisingly good already
Nice
Leobog hi75 is an incredibly good sounding aluminum board considering what it costs
yeah im shocked that someone can get this nice of an experience with less than $150 total and no mods
this looks amazing
if you get an answer id like to know too
looks like someone bought a SP grab bag
its a ribbon cable
The number 4 from SA commando worth something
looks like I had a seizure
I want avatar the last airbender keycaps but all I get is fucking T-shirts and plushes and posters
from a quick search online aparently its an old apple keyboard
really? i didn't get any reverse image results, i might try and snatch it but i have no idea what kind of usb-ribbon cable adapter to use since most of them are for completely unrelated things
yeah it was the closest thing I saw
yippeeee
my spacebar isnt rattily anymore
it only took like 10+ hours to figure out what what wrong
(the fricken stabs weres tuned)
hullo
looking for a legit real pink keyboard and mouse
that look cute. all pink.
but isnt like a toy / bad quality.
dont really know much about either
dont know top brands
Realforce
is yunzii b75 pro good ?
no
the mchose kb's build quality is really good, while the akko mod007 one has the hall effect switches and a lot of flex (knob as well). Which one should I get?
i want to buy a new 100% or more keyboard thats mechanical and not too loud is there any that u guys recommend
cant really just google it anymore because of so many paid articles
it would be good if there was a decent keyboard on amazon uk
realforce is a really good silent board for typing
nothing fancy but one of the best typing board
well my last keyboard broke so im replacing it
it was quite old
i need something with media keys really
Sadly it isn’t isn’t in stock here, should I get the monsgeek m1w v3 or the m3w
i like old looking keyboards but thats because ive only used a old one
m3w
m1w v3 kinda ass with it being spray coated and no side accent
i could do with one that looks like this
Ohh alright
Does the m3w sound thocky?
thocky is a lie
my last keyboard was nice to type on and was quiet
realforce
not much silent full size prebuilt out there anyways
can i get them on amazon
idk
im used to foam foil switches at work
i think thats what u call it
is the logitech g915 x good
Heard the m3w has a lot of foam stuffed into it
But it doesn’t really have a knob
i dont really need volume control i just need the one for tracks
u keep saying it but i cant find any in the uk
oh rip
is the Keychron Q5 Max good
Is the M3W’s case made out of aluminum?
yes
decent
Oh bet
I can’t get my head over how the space bar of the m3w sounds weird
change the stabs
stabs need tuning
is there any keyboards that dont need much maintenance
For its price its kinda terrible imo
Imo it's the worst stock sounding aluminum board I know of
If you have a q series budget just get a neo75 tbh
Q series should unironically cost less than hi75 imo
Thing is just super pingy and basic
cant buy it anywhere in the uk
yo uh
the pink version of the m3w is available only
and the black version of the m1w v3
what do I do
just get whichever you want
its honestly about the build quality and sound profile
heard that the m3w doesnt have a rgb sideline
import one from japan
or korea
Prototypist is a keyboard vendor in uk
why
its just not
eh, just a very standard 75 layout
its good to have more options and the price is prob going to be pretty good
and it looks decent
but nothing to be overhyped about tbh
curious how its bottom mount is going to work out tho
Introducing Pt.1/75 by TKD, a premium 75% custom mechanical keyboard featuring a top-mount design and sleek, minimalist aesthetics. Crafted with aluminum, stainless steel, and brass accents, this 2.45 kg keyboard delivers a refined typing experience. Available for a limited time only, with free express shipping via DHL.
Part 1 is definately the 75% winner rn
interesting how 75% is so common for budget builds but quite rare for more premium ones
i have one high end 75, its nice
not buying one i have to build
i found the Keychron V5 Max is it any good
it has brown red or yellow switches not sure which one is best
Imo no
They're a little over $100 and imo they sound kinda like the $20-40 entry level hotswap boards you can get all over Amazon and AliExpress
i dont really care what it sounds like
as long as it isnt loud
and doesnt sound like a razer keyboard
might just buy it because no one else has suggested a good alternative
just not sure which switches to use
Just get a prebuilt leobog tbh. It's a better deal to buy it bare bones and just place in some good switches and caps but if that's too much there are pre made versions of the hi75
and that hi75 is tiny
@mint swan do you need full size? Do you use the numpad often?
yes
data entry type beat
just gonna buy that keyboard I guess
what’s a good keyboard for like 60$? i don’t really need a good good keyboard, but i was thinking the ak820pro
baller
can you help me get a hold of the Monsgeek M1W V3's black prebuilt prebuilt variant in bangladesh 😭
it isnt available anywhere
AliExpress
and the next shipment is comin in december
gotta wait till december for it to arrive then
because the official distributors are going to bring it to the country in december
the barebones kit costs like 10k BDT which is out of my budget since the switches will cost 3k+
I believe the m1w came prebuilt
U dont need to buy any extras except u want to
yes but the prebuilt's black version isnt available anywhere
in bangladesh
I heard that the m1w V5 will be announced "this week"
the hall effect version is available at an app but this is cheaper than the official importer's price of the hall effect version for some reason
If u play games then HE could come into handy
And cover ur fucking address
anyone got a good recommendation for a keyboard from 12k-15k inr ( 142-178$)
preferably should be available in Amazon
my requirements are that it should have RGB and 60-75% and hot swappable (although most keyboards in these range are hot swappable)
any help is appreciated
pick one and go with it at that price point
Hi there, can anyone pls recommend me a white-cream color 60% frame with PCB included?
switches and keycaps will be purchase separately
tofu60 FA
or 2.0
Has anyone heard of keycap stems cracking on first edition keychron Q1? For me three have already cracked...
Almost 3 years old, used daily but generally cared for
Looks like i will have to put away some spare change and start hunting for a full custom
yes get a gmk set
Something like that?
I don't expect you to understand it of course
but generally GMK<numbers> stuff?
In some local stores i can see GMK87 80%
329 PLN for a barebones, that would be 82 dollars tax included
made by "Zuoya" whatever that means
no the keycap set
ah fair enough, that would be more responsible but i kinda see that failure as an opportunity to assemble something new from scratch
I see
Would you recommend anything self-assembled up to let's say 1.5x the price of keychron q1?
75-80%
howw much was ur q1
js doxxed yourself
around 1000 PLN, so let's say up to 1500 PLN which comes around 375 USD
after tax
worst case screw the tax
i'm not american tax-minded
I pay the same price i see up front here
also likely it won't be needed but i'm profficient with soldering
never soldered a keyboard in particular but i will manage
I imagine most stuff is hot-swap anyway
What's the weirdest keyboard switch you've seen? Like. someone made a keyboard with residential lightswitches.
What about a keyboard that uses a manual typewriter for the keys, but it's modified so the key strikes a copper plate or something and that counts as the key press
Pt1.75 from tkd
Or neo 75 which will be released at the end of this month
Some people i knew made weird ass franken switches
If i wasn't so lazy, i probably could just buy new springs
1/4" is probably too big
If I buy 20 50mm long springs...does that mean I can cut them all in half and get 40 25mm long springs?
Absolute keyboard newb here 👋
Just got an Aula F99 and I’m dead happy with it tbh!
The linea switches sound good, but I could stand to go thockier.
Also is there some vital software I could do with getting??
Appreciate y’all 👍
Sounds super deep
Love it
@mint swan that keyboard would also be a better option tbh
do not care
Oof
Just 4 more days
I'm hyped
Cheers my dude 🫡
Hey, looking for a keyboard cause my keyboard broke while moving, i used to have the corsair k95 rgb platinum XT
I prefer a full keyboard with numberpad etc and love media controls on it.
budget is 250 to 300 usd MAX any suggestions?
What do you mean?
300$ will buy you something in mechmarket discord of quite high quality
fully built
200$ board 75$ gmk base kit
Realforce
That's insanely overpriced for a q series imo
Wishlisting this keyboard
Is a 20 bucks e waste right
My setup's full of e-waste, my guy :)
I'm sorry if my broke ass can't get a high-quality, top-of-the-line, custom mechanical keyboard 'n shit
how do you use the function keys on that keyboard
fn+number
thats not even my address 😭
What this guy said
U can always look up for something better
any notable company?
i literally never heard of them
what about keychron @patent belfry
yeah sure that works too
https://www.reddit.com/r/Keychron/comments/1gcfev2/got_hacked/
just keep in mind this is currently a thing. so buy new.
alright then I'll go with that and any more companies you wanaa mention which are popular like Razer
not really. I tried a keyboard at best buy a week or two ago. it was really nice but I can't remember the name
by Logitech maybe
the suppliers on amazon are sketchy
for me
so do you have any specific suggestion?
buy from keychron then.

How's this?
Can someone give me a good 70 -100% keyboard from Steelseries, razer, Hyper x or Logitech.
RGB
From 100 - 250$
Norwegain Layout
If wireless has to have USB reciever not bluetooth and from 2020 - recent date.
Anyone who can help?
that can happen to basicly any kb tbh
not exclusive just to keychron
sorry but those companies don’t have good keyboards
that works though keychron is bit overpriced nowadays
oh norwegean layout mb
i’d not suggest buying keychron k series, they’re their bottom tier lineup
Ragh!
hmmm
any of these companies good
Becuase they are the closest
Any cheap keyboards in your country would prob come in the same cost because norwegian shipping is a pain expensive tho
Get a leobog hi75
It'll be cheaper and just better
K series is like an early 2010's Razer keyboard but at $80 instead of the $5-10 you'll usually find those at goodwill
K series also probably had the most rampant battery issues of any keyboard which people like to forget when shilling keychron while claiming all other brands batteries will blow up
their low ends are not good
minilo is somewhat fine and sword is pretty decent
but this is prob worse than k series
I genuinely can't think of how something can be worse than k series other than in maybe unusable switches being used
K series competes more with bad gaming OEM boards from 10 years ago
V series is at least bad relative to modern stuff
have you used a K series board
its bad, but still better than those gaming boards
Don't own one but again I've used one. It was a lot like an old cooler master oem board I had
It's just not good
In its price range hi75 exists
Why do a ton of mods to get it to still sound worse than cheaper boards?
I get having a budget but like don't use it in stupid ways
$80 used on a good $50 board and switches and caps will still be better than $80 used on a board that sounds straight out the recycling bin
what does TKL stand for?
Ten key less
Don't get a Razer
ok..

Tbh, don't get anything from the big gaming brands
why?
They're stupidly marked up
Any other reason?
And the ones that sound halfway competent are usually 100`s of dollars instead of the $50-100 they should be
And the rest are usually just terrible
why?
Bad feel, bad sound, non standard layouts, non standard stabs, etc
it has a scandinavian layout so it's all the same?
It's kinda the same reason it makes more sense to build a PC than to buy an apple mac
i'm gonna use it for gaming and work.
Apple has it fair share for it's uses
Your seiling for what you can get goes up in the high end and in the lower end you still are getting way more per$
Not really
You just pay more and get less
Apple products specifies in what it is good in.
Being slow?
if your only choice is between keychron and gaming brands, any keychron would be better
And even if you like their software it can be flashed in any pc
as much as I do not recommend K series, it would still be better than gaming boards at the same price
I don't use apple 💀
and it is easier to get keychron in some less common layout
I just reconize that apple has features to be proud of.
If he's in Europe he should have access to AliExpress
So he can still get a hi75 for like $40-50
Don't trust Ali. Just personally
They don't though
It's if anything more reliable than Amazon
Fewer mislisted things and fewer straight up scam listings
Don't like amazon
They scammed me two times.
this sounds like cap
ive been ordering from amazon basically since they became a storefront
I've had a few scam listings on Amazon that upset me
scamming and slow delivery are 2 vastly different things
One day they just hit me up your order has been refunded
I always get my money back but it's annoying
I got my money back not that
be smart online
yes
that isnt an amazon issue thats a seller on amazon issue, and if you dont report it or whatever. it will still continue to happen
Have done.
🥵
is this emoji meant to mean something
no pressed the wrong one

Does anyone have any interesting resources for keyboards? Or am I better to ask a question directly :v
I'm wondering if there's any modern keyboard with old style, the 90'-ish/early 2000 kind of style
Funny enough I found a similar keyboard at work recently.
Apparently, this specific keyboard I've found was used by switchboard operators back in the day. It's super cool, but I can't find anything about such keyboard online. Rarest keyboard? :v
You want to know about vintages ?
Not really know, but if there's any website that yap about it or recommend some
Would still be lovingly interesting tho, I'd take whatever you got :)
what yall think about the drop hallowheel
i got bogo keycaps and 30 off if the order is over 130
Vortex SSK TKL might be up your street
ok, good looking, but...
i really forgot how expensive those are
btw answer up there
depends on the keycaps
if it wasnt gmk you got scammed
ouch
hope you enjoy, mt3 sells for half the regular price or less on the aftermarket
drop
Into the depths... This FRL TKL designed by Upas is themed after the three-headed hound that guards the gates of Hades. Launching in GB on October 25th, Cerberus is coming soon. Like the creature it is named after, the design of the Cerberus keyboard revolves around 3 major points of interest. An intricately engraved crest, three heads with glow...
might hop on the group buy anyone heard anything about this?
you should hop on the realforce
They look really good but I'm still more excited for neo75
someone who worked with Cannon keys admitted to releasing mostly budget/cheap boards. not sure this is going to be any different
Realforce is better
Better in what way, exactly? Availability? Price?

I’ve been buying from them for a while. It was designed by Upas and he’s behind a bunch of super high quality keyboards (Satisfaction 75, ripple TKL ect.) They do make a lot of budget stuff and the budget stuff they they do make is amazing

No hate but what’s so special about the neo 75?
?
Feel, keycaps and looks
R3 looks shit though I won’t lie
Aren’t they plain black and plastic?
My steelcase gesture is also plastic
And the keycaps can’t be better than something like GMK
A lot of chairs are plastic yes
One of the few good dyesub pbt keycaps
good for you? you gatekeeping fuckwit?
Wow so rude
I can see how real force would be nice but like I really like aluminum and customizing with fun colors and stuff as well as picking my switches and all that
Chill it’s just a keyboard bro
I mean the first thing you had to say was 'X is better'
You did this to yourself bruh lmao
Can’t be helped when it’s facts
L opinion
😭
Could've just said 'I think X is better'
You just went with your 'X is better' as if objective kek
Almost like keyboard feel isn't objective
Welcome to LTTcord
Come back when you’ve learned of the mx black, topre and alps endgame trinity
I call it how it is.
LOL
Come back when people give a fuck lmfao
Better is subjective
I care
I'm not saying you're wrong, I'm saying you're a dickhead.
I don’t want a plastic keyboard
Wow that means alot to me
I don’t care what people think
You are literally the cancer of niche communities
Keycult is better
Or communities in general for that matter kek
So true brother
Yeah you do, otherwise your dumbass wouldn't go around telling people X is better kek
true, but larger communities have enough voices to reject people like that
I don’t go around saying this tho
It’s just here
It’s fun triggering people like you
Yes, you absolutely trigger me
ah yes, the "I was only pretending" defense
yes, that's not the part that matters
Sure brother
But good to know you admit that you're only here to piss people off kek
the part that matters is that you thought that was an appropriate way to respond.
realforce>
Real force will never be better than a nice keyboard like a keycult or something like that with gmk keycaps
lol. I was perfectly happy with the keychron C1 in this setup - I just needed it to be quieter.
Tbf his message history does clearly show he's hardcore shilling for whoever Realforce is and is about as much of an asshole as we are lmfao
Ignorance is bliss
You go buddy
🫡
the good news is that @boreal rivet has tried every keyboard on the planet, and realforce is "better"
budget, availability, personal preference, aesthetics, all irrelevant
Paying $300 for a cheap ahh plastic keyboard sounds amazing
Oh he's quite literally said he doesn't care about other people's needs lmao
It's all in his message history
Cheap board with a big copper base and a really unique looking and complex design
y'all suck
True
Grown dudes getting pressed over a strong opinion 🥱
that's the discord way
Gatekeeping is kinda a bigger issue in keyboard community than most tbf
only here tbh
r/mk and a lot of other communities have barely any gatekeeping
no idea why this place is different
rf is better in HIS opinion, that's okay if you disagree
you don't have to name call and be a douche about it.
there is something for everyone
Have you been on their discord?
Have you seen kb kustoms pre covid
That was THE gated community
no
I started a war there by just suggesting not lying to noobs to get them to make a purchase
Like, that should have been the most tame take ever taken
I mean you started a war here too so uh
kustoms>>>
Keyboard reddit people also have a very "get this or I won't help you and I will make sure nobody else can help you either" mentality
Very shill heavy
You miss the point ENTIRELY
His issue seems to be more with how he used that as if it's a fact and to discredit his build
Which is kinda just toxic
personally? IDGAF, but it's toxic gatekeeping bullshit.
and most people won't call out bullshit behaviour when they see it, so I do.
Keyboard community is kinda behind every other hobby I've tried when it comes to trying to grow or having meaningful conversation tbh
Thank you for your service 🙏
But it is still growing pretty fast cause Chinese manufacturers spamming the market
So tbf it's surviving without consumers forcing competition
Nothing can really be “better” when everything is so subjective
particularly when all I needed was .. a quieter keyboard.
I also think @boreal rivet is just playing a bit tbf
the amount of tone policing is crazy, it's not that serious
unironically tho realforce (and topre) is the best silent switch/board I have used
"it's just the internet, real people don't use the internet!"
oh, I'm sure it's good.
He played some odd but of hating vintage headphones before too
I think it's just a thing he does
So don't take it too serious
I agree, mean speech is violence
@boreal rivet opinion on this box?
Peak
I should mention
The gatekeeping happens in the form of private servers now
That’s why you don’t see it
Nah, it's just shifted to "get something from this company or bad" and using the excuse of "everything (except what's being shilled at that time) has QC issues or will explode for reasons I can't explain or elaborate on"
And in some cases "get this or you can't be part of our community"
nah I kind of agree with MX on that one
Tbf, gatekeeping was worse in older keyboard communities
But they also were arguably less toxic and more open minded too
They just hate kept very certain things very ferociously
🤡
Keycult WAS nice
i’m surprised the realforce group ™ is still arguing here to get people buying realforces/hhkb
Still is a nice keyboard
Not saying it’s the best especially for the price
don’t you guys have time to be spent better than arguing here like some average twitter dudes that do not accept other people’s opinions, it’s funny their call people that do not agree whenever realforce is worth it or not “grown ups that argue” while straight up gatekeeping this chat for nearly a year and silencing their own community whenever they don’t like someone
and admitting to trolling as well, like really…
“Realforce group” ain’t the ones who started with an ad hominem bruh
realforce more like realshit
Wow how creative and witty
I believe u never try it before right
I do not care, it's a topre. basically a glorified membrane board
you can’t say you couldn’t have expressed your opinion without all the flaming and like explain to others explicitly why is realforce better
L take ngl
i haven’t said topre is bad i just don’t like it
if they’d be at better price my opinion about them would shift as well
I didn’t flame nobody bruh

sadly prob not going to happen
and topre clones feels shit too
idk if its the dome or what but it doesnt feel right
Fc980 💀
Yes that one
I kinda like it
Case looks shit too
the noob layout
very non-realforce but more option for topre layout is nice
you are telling me you’d jump on, insult someone inrl if someone would disagree with you that topre isn’t that good (in their opinion)?
he was the one being insulted
Huh where are you getting this from bruh
not now
I see like 5 different switches 💀
also is that some sort of bcp or what
I’m a changed man kvetinky 😔
From old owner tho, removing them rn
Spot on
It disheartens me that you doubt me so
then why do you spend time here still
For fun bruh
is it though
Yeah
you all act as if people shouldn't type here
uh, because realforce is better isn’t really helpful if he doesn’t give explanation to that
people are entitled to their own opinions
if you just say it’s better, that will confuse someone because someone else in a different server may say it’s not
if you don't like it, just don't respond. it's a pretty simple concept
got a tofu60 case dupe
?????
i mean providing more context to the information… what’s wrong with that
?
nobody has to justify it for you
My wooting 60he+ gets here tomorrow!!!! I’m so excited at some point down the road im going to get the tofu redux case for it
I did provide context tho
Kvetinky did you not read the whole thing
Oh man 😦
feel, keycaps and looks?
Yeahhhh
that’s not enough context is it?
why is that a question
Good enough for me man
^
someone may think that membrane feels better than a mechanical keyboard which is subjective, you gave subjective points tho not facts
expect for the keycaps
thanks captain obvious
which are indeed pbt
everything here is subjective
fr fr
you gotta expect subjective opinions if you are asking for recommendations
thats just how humans work
telling people it's "pReFeReNcE and SuBjEcTiVe" is literally the most captain obvious shit known to mankind
like we know dude
price is big consideration though
if you have to consider the price tag, keyboards might not be for you. it's a luxury hobby
and yet you fail to ask for their budget
where
eh its not that bad compared to cars and audio
It’s true that buckling springs are better than most tho
the realforce spam ya been doing that’s atleast one of them whenever someone asks for a keyboard without stating budget, is it that hard just to ask
I'm not into audio, but I still want to succeed in that space relatively to what's out there. so I ask people with a brain
price is my last consideration
yet again, another luxury endeavor
you could say it’s their fault for not stating their budget but now, the person tells you they cannot afford a $200 keyboard or go used because they can’t
yeah
Good a nice middle of the road headphone
Then just buy a good studio mon setup lmao
just like realforce, I know where this is going
ill pay someone if they can help me figure out wt f wrong with my computer i cant download shi
prob wrong channel buddy
(also dont pay strangers online)
desoldered all mine for the switches
I just have Kef q350 for desk setup and q950 for home theatre/phono
OHHH
I'm dumb sry
I realised what it looked like after I sent it lol
yes, and you apply this to people that ask for a keyboard price is your last consideration, for most people it’s the first
it's over
is all gud
my amp is some pretty old Yamaha, does the job for now
need to do some more research before I upgrade
Idk I’m just using my interface now
Bs650 is literally only used for gaming with friends now so amplification isn’t too big of a deal

Rarer baffle variant is all
I'm thinking about possibly going ZMF for my next cans
Zmf is so good
just trying to pick a popular non budget space brain rot headphone
Zach always gets the epoxy mirror gloss
Hd800
I can’t remember which zmfs were popular
I think the auteur
Oh wait it was the Aeolus I heard alot about
Verite as well
Dunno about the newer models though
Used in audio is such good value
same with keyboards hahaha
Everything depreciates like a mid 2000s Mercedes amg
You flipped stances?
Oh yeah utopia 2020 is good too
focal? ye heard good things
Vintage audio gear is so amazing imo
What are you talking about bruh
Spend a lot of time restoring old headphones to basically new condition
Oh the he6 4 screw is also good
Restored all these from falling apart and barely working to basically new
Second one out of the only two good headphones hfm made
But also basically a time bomb
Not a restoration but made a near perfect he6 6 screw remake out of an he6sev2
I like the he6 but I cant get over that headband
Only remaining difference is the trace is a little thinner
suspension bands are the move
Enough to make it 5 ohms higher in impedance
I know a guy who designs them
For non suspension band headphones I mean
Capra audio
If you ask him he might design one for you
Better pic of it
The leather used on og was softer and less textured
So I need to rework it
beige pfp uwu
(:
Got them on AliExpress pretty cheap. They were the closest thing to a blue sa profile set I could find that wasn't transparent
any monsgeek keyboard owners here?
🥱 yo
I am happily impressed with Aliexpress clones/ makes considering how much they go for + normally free shipping is also nice
Will satisfy any hipyo tech fanboys
The one piece is real
thinking of making another revision of this, what would be a cheap case material, assuming the same "mount"? im not sure what sounds good
will post pic of the svg case files in a sec
taiwan peace isreal
got this cheap ass keyboard and whenever I turn on the lights it starts ringing
Nokia
huh
Hello
Just built my first custom mechanical keyboard and it feels mushy and sounds dull. Anyway to fix this? Or do these parts just not work well together.
Specs:
Neo80
Alum Plate
Vertex V One Switches
IFK BRED Keycaps
O ring + Sandwich Mount (Tried separate but didn't fix issue)
Didd u apply all the foams
Not really
Try to apply ocb foam and see the difference
Pcb
Any good?
It has blue switches
probably not good but if it’s sufficient for you sure
that mouse though…
and welp you and your neighbours will probably go deaf from those blue switches
on that board
how much was it?
1600 Philippine Pesos
If the switches are hot-swappable, I could swap out the blue switches with red switches
off quick searching looks that particular model isn’t hotswappable
also, upgrading that board isn’t really worth it with your own switches, you will lose value by doing that
that money could’ve been spent on an actually decent prebuilt keyboard
https://qwertykeys.notion.site/QK80-MK2-c963fa5dc8624dbd8bb862708a8d41a4 ow this looks very nice, might try to get one when PO opens
another matrix ripoff
why join a group buy when you can buy a realforce right now
matrix navi+volt 2.0
Not my likings, also no distributoe here so that sucks. The qk one has official distributor so price gonna be the same and no shipping/tax price
Import one from japan
Nyet
your loss
Ok
This
ooh i forgot to do this
stupid simple case
idk if its worth my time to make like a case case
but i wanna make it look nice, gonna try brass for the funny
all brass? yummy
Akko software is worse than any trash, beside that some monsgeek board supports via and qmk
Back in the time i bought it, it wwas the only alu boards in that price range, however these days there are better choices besides monsgeek
Zoom75 tiga seems super interesting
my experience with ws studio and meletrix is absolute garbage
zoom65 doesnt have a power off mode/option and basically when you touch any of the keys when it is in sleep mode it would turn itself on (including the backlight)
and my freya had 3 stripped and 1 broken screws
together with standoff that does not fit
never buying from ws studio again
I mean, the kb I picked has pretty much everything I could ask for so
is it worse than the ajazz and other chinese brands' software?
just a reskin huh
only the ISO layout of the m1w has qmk support
🗿
Their software made me want to throw any akko board out of my window
ohno
Anyway are u thinking of buying a new board rn
I ordered mine a few days ago and its still processing at china
already ordered a m1w v3
if I do return it, whats your recommendation for around 12.4k BDT ($100)
the gradient ones are from wooting?
Neo65
We could say inspired design
Oh tough meat
plus I need a knob
Transition lite is another choice
no knob 💀
Is this your first keyboard?
third in a way
first one was some cheap havit board I got a few years ago
few as in like 4 years ago
then I got a corsair k68 rgb with cherry mx reds
U can stick to ur m1w
💀
what r the best switches on the aula f75?
can confirm z75 is like that too
didnt get any bad parts in my kit luckily and i didnt buy a screen so i dont have to deal with the issues a lot of people had with that
went for it because the engraving was cute and the glass backplate thing the zoom series has going on is still unique to them
but it's pretty expensive for a 75% considering the kinds of cheaper options there are nowadays
does putting it on a desk mat help the sound any?
the cheapest reapers are fine
the extra few bucks are probably not worth the ice veins
Its gonna dampen some sound
same price for me
ice veins prob then
what’s the difference between them? is the ice vein more creamy?
or like
it’ll change the sound profile a little
idk
y, if you’re aiming for that
don’t have a large desk mat. it just sits on a wooden table.
do you have different plates?
i’d personally put in some foam ‘cause it sounds a bit pingy rn especially that it’s using metal plate
and unsure why the switches feel mushy… maybe over lubed from factory?
it’s on sale rn 64 usd
not really a sale
what’s your country?
I just moved to canada and I brought 2 keyboards on my carry on 😅 was it worth it?
usa
the spacebar it’s the wrong way
on the hhkb
Works fine for me ✌️
yeah, you can get it for cheaper than that through aliexpress and much cheaper through taobao, definitely not worth 64 usd today unless you need it to be purchased from amazon or such
Its abs tho, which isn't the best, but I cant find a PBT one that not warped
i’m not seeing it much cheaper at all on ali
only alum
yeah replacements aren’t the cheapet but you can find some on ebay and such
if you want 75%, rk r75 is like 45usd rn, apply some coupon along with it or womier sk75 at around 85 with coupons
on taobao you will find aulas for 25 usd
but you need a shipping agent
takes more effort
put in some foam if you can, might help
what’s that?
i can’t read anything.
taobao is pretty much asia only if you’re making consumer purchases
someone has to ship it to you, you buy the product through the agent and he ships it to you
Most of the ones my friends brought from kbdfans or ali express were pretty janked
rip
translate the website
well is there anyway to read it? lol
Check out superbuy
Translation is not the best, especially for keyboard parts. You may wanna talk to an agent from superbuy to figure out which option to choose coz images dont normally match the translated option.
Take a screenshot and use apple translate
that takes toooo long bro
It’s 5 seconds
honestly i think ima just either go with the ali express or amazon(if still on sale) because it’s only like 10$ usd less and i personally don’t trust it thaaaat much
then i gotta go read it and take like 10 ss to find which one it is, then i gotta delete allat, the site worked just fine
thought foam was bad
???
depends what you are trying to achieve
cheap board sucks without foam tho
more foam=deeper sound basically
keychron cameo in the mac mini product page
it's totally because they're one of the few mechanical keyboard makers to ship with mac compatibility built in
they also have this corsair 75%
just about to say
they should've shown a realforce
That depends
tiktok brain
turns out the shop I ordered my M1W v3 HE from, doesnt have the HE in stock anymore
can anyone suggerent an aluminium kb build with hall effect if possible
for $110 USD (14k bdt)
bridge75 he
dawg why would i do that when the site translated it perfectly fine lol
taobao is way cheaper than aliexpress for most of the time and has way more selection
yes
i cannot live without the volume control's dedicated keys
which is why a knob would make my life much easier
drunkdeer a75
does the standard one have rgb?
yesa
ainnoway its not available here either
hows the leobog hi8 barebone?
ordered the neo 75
arent they roughly the same but hi8 cost like 2x more just for a better knob?
either way though, hi75 is the better option
wireless is pretty useless for a keyboard imo
you dont really need to move them too often for a desktop
and just plugging one in with a laptop is easier than connecting and charging them
a lot of chinese media reported that hi8 sounds worse
either way hi75 is the better option imo
its actually good value
while hi8 is coming into the price of actually great boards
hi75 looks ass imo
i like the look but doesnt compete with say neo65 or even lucky 65 for look
or really any keyboard with a visible weight
although tbf, on a desk you wont see the weight
unless youre an epic enough gamer to buy 2 boards so 1 can be upside down
how much should I pay for the Hi75 barebone?
depends on region
50usd
alr
thats the price on amazon new
its already apretty deep sounding board
just get some switches and maybe some sa caps
going for a custom build if its the hi75
like under 100 for the whole thing
do I need those gateron oil king switches?
I dont like oil king myself
I like china joy switches more
akko is nice on a budgetg
ws morandi is also decent stock
stop reminding me of the monsgeek, it hurts
they are clacky
akko switches I mean
akko piano or ws morandi
