They are def a thing. Like akko sell at least 2 translucent sets and melgeek was big on the whole transparent everything
ended up ordering

everything should be compatible right?

With the help of the set of 105 keycaps offered here by Glorious PC Gaming Race, it is possible to quickly and easily adapt your own mechanical keyboard with Gateron, Kailh or Cherry MX switches to your own taste, i.e. to mod the keyboard.
The keycaps of the Gateron, Kailh and Cherry switches are all compatible with each other, shape and size m...
Yeah everything will work. I am surprised you bought clicky switches though, i feel like they have been losing popularity
i dunno i'm used to those and i love it (and i work from home so nobody is disturbed š )
i tried the non clicky tactile in stores and they sucked for me
Im guessing you tried cherry browns. Those are like babys first tactile. Bothing that special about them. There are honestly overwhelming amounts of other switches out there if you want to try them.
ABS keycaps retain finger oils and develop keyshine over time. People usually want the harder PBT type.
used a couple abs sets so far and both are fine imo
yes they shine but the oils part not so much compared to even lower quality keycaps
I get what appear to be decent sets from Aliexpress but have severely oily hands and they last me maybe 6 months even while rotating out color schemes.
Okay dude.
getting into alps now?
sckl?
Is there a reason why you'd rather assume I'm filthy or are you unaware that people with severely oily skin cannot just clean the oil off because it actually exacerbates the problem?
might try some
I should ask for some advice sometime
got a greasy nose and ion know how to fix it
New wooting dropped
Congrats, why does the polishing look so uneven
this has been a thing for a while
Well what else would I be talking about
Weird, first im seeing it on their site
Idk maybe my expectations are too high
And you realise polishing paste isnāt the only way to polish metal right
Oh right
Do y'all have any recommendations for lube to stop switches from squeaking?
Lithium grease?
what do y'all think, this any good? https://www.newegg.com/z-edge-mechanical-gaming-keyboard-outemu-brown/p/32N-010F-00001?Item=9SIBNTYJX93770&cm_sp=product-_-from-price-options
highly doubtful
hot glue and water
burn it
i had a stroke from reading this
SO how much do you guys love/hate Ducky? I'm not a keyboard-phile but looking for a decant entry mechanical keyboard that I will need zero work on my end. I'm not really that strict on budget, but I'm a firm believer in diminishing returns, so not looking for high end.
realforce is better
Completely different markets
Unless ducky started selling topre switches.
ducky just makes average keyboards for average price
As we all know, just buy a keychron :)
Keyword budget bozo
a little context for mxidnjne for those unfamiliar
good post thank you, now go buy a realforce
wym broke
how did you manage that
what the fuck did you do that
augh
tx if your pcb supports pcb mounted stabs
or pretty much any.. aslong theyāre lubed
those holy panda knock-off stabilizers are fine
tx or staebies
i like more tx
personally
itās your preference, iām not the biggest fan of cherry profile
mda :3
btw, did you just not mount the spacebar properly or is it curvey?
thatās the shittiest keycap set iāve ever seen tbh
from ali
if you had a realforce it wouldn't have happened
i have a mechanical keyboard and idk anything about mechs and lubing them, any advice on what i should get to lube it because the spring noise is getting super annoyingh
Which one? I have one too
if its just the spring noise, you could get some dielectric grease and then use a brush to thinly coat the springs
@patent belfry its a red dragon dragonborn brown mechanical keyboard
what does that mean?
i have made zero mods to it
yep
is this safe? like a common solution? I dont wanna be damaging anything
yep
brown switches
no
yea
the risky mod is to spray the switch with aerosol lube
which if you choose the wrong kind of lubricants, the plastic will be eaten by the lube
india
haha, got some wd 40 in my tool kit
yea, wd 40 would break your switch
thats the one thats unsafe
cause its petroleum based, which reacts chemically with most thermoplastics
i do this shit for my own keyboard, i know
yup, tryna find it online
and yea,the one thocc linked is the one you should look for
dielectric grease, while safe for your keyboard, is really thick, so applying a thin coat onto objects will be challenging
its not available on amazon, not very convenient, although i have access to dielectric grease
good short term solution atleast?
i have thin brushes for it no problem
yea
provided that you can remove and open the switch
thanks for linking that though, ill get it when i find it
open the switch as in completely from the keybaord case?
apply too much and the switch will feel kinda mushy so be aware
no like disassemble the whole thing out
so you need to remove it from the keyboard as well
tbh i dont really trust indian online stores iykwim
interesting, will give this a go too
i see ur pfp is nico rosberg haha
are you watching the bahrain gp rn?
gotchu ill look through it
https://rectangles.store/collections/lube
got this one too, this got listed on a site for all mechanical keyboard vendor
with the boom of custom mech, its not hard to find specific lube from your local stores
and they dont really gonna scam you out of like 3 bucks of lube
yea, will cost more as well
so keep that in mind
ah the prelubed one
not the hand lube
i thought its the hand lube kind
at least pre lubed would be enough to eliminate spring ping
so yea
Have any guide on how to use that?
Do you have to disassemble the switches to use it?
And they would have to be desoldered?
If any of my switches give me issues I'll do that then
Aren't you able to turn those into hot sawapable ones?
Once they are de soldered can't you solder in a socket?
me got this keyboard for work. since there cheap ass membrane ones SUCCCK
this was pretty cheap as well but got good reviews
you can, just very finicky
would have to solder each of these socket into the contact
you cant solder in the typical combo kailh hotswap socket into normal soldered board
All this effort to get a keyboard thatās inferior to realforce smh
worth the meme tho
ok this keyboard is WAAAY nicer then my Corsair strafe RGB
its got aluminum as well as its really heavy
feels amazing... only thing is the legend isn't double shot so that the light comes through it
which is fine since im using it for work anyways
but Daaaamn it was WAY cheaper then my Strafe as well
tho there not cherry MX switches
but so far they feel good
ye
like i said tho its for work... and working at a desk in the internal parts department for a collision center i didn't want to get something expensive
only gotta type out invoices and PO's and such
maybe part numbers
Is the ASUS ROG Strix Scope II 96 good for gaming ?
this message is proof that you need a realforce
I'd sure hope so, the strafe rgb is an ancient relic at this point
what can i do to mod it]
like extra mod
0:00 Asus Strix Scope II 96 Wireless (ROG NX Snow)
0:30 - Akko 5075B Plus (Cream Yellow)
0:38 - Asus Claymore II (ROG RX Red)
0:46 - Asus Strix Scope RX (ROG RX Red)
0:54 - Dark Project KD083A (G3ms Sapphire)
1:02 - Epomaker EK68 (Gateron Yellow)
1:10 - Keychron K2 (Gateron Red)
1:18 - Melgeek Modern97 (Kailh Sonic53)
1:26 - Monsgeek M1 (Akko Pi...
the sound is not 100% accurate but yeah
how so? it seemed to get good reviews plus it feels very nice
in any case i don't need anything fancy. cause it's going to be living at my work which is in a collision center shop
lots of dust and what not
oof yeah... my strafe is starting to show its age as well... i sometimes get ghosting key presses. i tried getting new switches to replace them... but that was before i figured out it wasn't hot swappable
dont trust all reviews online, and the switches are nothing special so you can easily replicate the feeling on other keyboards
depending on your budget you can prob get something better
Bruh, my keychronV6knob has dying keys after like a year š (red switches)
What switches would yall pick so i can "repair" it?
uhh idk what keyboard your talking about but the build quality is like 100 times better then my Strafe RGB
its heavy with like no deck flex and it's got an aluminum plate
it does
i can feel the cold metal. it was the first thing i noticed cause it was left outside when they delivered it
ok so it's fucking tin
plastic doesn't feel like that when it's cold
i know what im talking about
your wrong bud
but that's not my point. my point is that its was nicer then anything I've ever had before hand
ok but there's a specific feeling to cold metal
yes i know that. im not stupid
for this price just get a keychron c2 or akko 3108
bruh
not call me bruh please
And ur the mf who keeps asking stupid questions āfor a friendā and saying stupid fucking shit
Hereās a life pro tip, know when to shut up and when youāre wrong
You donāt even know what stabiliser to buy LMAO
No shit sherlock, maybe it flew over your head but metal is a far better conductor of heat than plastic is and will feel cold to the touch in most conditions compared to plastics
This is a common method of deducing whether a material is metal
Tell me
What is a shit metal
What is a piece of metal that isnāt high quality
Do you know how to define that?
Or did you learn from dinky and pull shit even more stupid than his out of your ass
Explain to me why exactly scrap metal is low quality
Haha
Thatās all I need to know
Valorant kid lul
No surprise there
no u

thats how this channel is
(for some reason)
no wonder Linus goes crazy with YouTube comments
every channel is like that in here
I dont rly use other channels so idk
i got yelled at for thread necrotizing on a comment that was 12 hours old. which i was talking to my best friend
like some people work a day job
this makes me feel like redditors are nice people
This channel used to be nicer
rk61 is all I need to hear
that's just impure
to a nearly equally budget bitch board
buy a realforce
topre is dopre
Hi! Last week i ordered a pc. Now I'm been looking for peripherals. I decided about what mouse i want, but I can not decide which keyboard to buy. What i am looking for is:
- Logitech G512
- Genesis Thor 303
g512 sucks so bad
Why?
is MageGee a reputable brand?
shit quality keycaps, inconsistent switches, overpriced asf
It is overpiced i agree with that, but i dont think that keycaps are shit. And wgat do you mean by inconsisten switches
the keycaps are grease magnets
and the switches have inconsistent feeling smoothness
and are incredibly flimsy
hey that's the keyboard i got
any good?
seems good so far, we'll see tomorrow at work
So you recomend Thor 303 better?
it's feels like its built like a tank
haven't tried it while it's on and plugged into a pc but I'll let you all know tomorrow
I prefer G512 in asthetics
keycaps actually feel nice... plus there double shot... just not see through
dunno just speaking from experience with the g512
reds
idk

hey chat, should i make a 3x5 or a 2x4 keyboard? thinking about making an integrated ble thing
Huh i searched em but didnt find
Bro keychron was recommended by so many but its mid š
And what "is" it?
Hmmm, welp ima either change key or get a new one, only issue is i need 100% keyboard š
They be hard to find cheap and good
Ong
I already thought the V6 was really expensive ngl
Mb mister rich
Meh
Its in pfp but still
I find pastel fine but ion like hard pink too much
Sen pic
Been digging broken keychron lately
But multiple keys fying after a yr is such a scam
It 100%?
Anyways i aint spend 300 on a keyboard im too broke
I am hardly considering updating my system already
Aint 100% but aight
Or is it
I know whats missin
Some buttons like home or end
Sounds about right
Was also thinking of getting 1 smol keyboard, then i got 1 for gaming and the keychron for creative work
Aint no way bro just recommended a 360⬠keyboard š
US always got good prices tho
im in EU
Rather 200, anyways it looks quite goofy ngl
except for minecraft
can't f3 quickly
I still shill hhkbs though
gonna be at 4 hhkbs sooner or later
2 alps builds and 2 actual hhkbs
imagine an SI hhkb
cba to get a pcb printed rn
maaaybe later though
yeah
that's what my feet look like on my alps build
What Gatreon G Switch is the best for gaming? I heared Red is Light and Black a bit heavier.
Is the wooting he60 overrated
it depends on your priority
if you are focusing on sound and feel, yes its just another mech so theres not much new things to see
the gaming focused features are pretty nice, and although the boom of hall effect switches has brought the access price down a lot, you cant deny that wooting features are the most polished
Thatās not bad, I donāt think it would be worth swapping my K2 out for tho
depends on what you do
for rythm games the only thing that sucks about the he60 is the polling/scan rate
still better than a mechanical 8000hz board tho
in something like valorant where coutnerstrafing is a big deal you can also benefit a lot from it
The games I play mostly that use KBM are titanfall 2, Roblox and Minecraft
for those it prob does not matter
it is a nice board but idk if I would recommend that first considering the price point
esp if you consider something like the kb65he
which costs less and has a metal case
hey any suggestions for a cheap barebones keyboard? I built a akko 3068b and I am now building a Q1. I have a bunch of keycaps and switches left from both and Id like to build a third one out of it. any ideas? should be in stock preferably on amazon.
how much budget
rapid trigger makes it worth
otherwise aside from the adjustable actuation point there's not much else to say about it
should be below 70 euro
Recommend some full size mechanic keyboard
also should be a 75% layout
i have NEWS

the keyboard works.... AS A KEYBOARD

way better then the pos Dell keyboard that came free with the PC
these are the goat
only really one from a specific timeframe that I like
tried the newer ones and they felt different
for a 3x5 would it be better to have the caps be upright when the board is in portrait or landscape position
what
I daily drove one of those dell keebs for a long long time
They honestly aren't that bad for just a basic little keeb you just need to work
Then I found a razer black widow 2013 at a flea market for $5
Then I got an rk61 and modded the jeebers out of it
then I got a wk61 because cool clear plastic case :3
..then modded the jeebers out of it
Is nmb supposed to be a play on ibm?
Ive never heard of them before
When I think of a vintage high end keyboard the first thing that comes to my mind is hhkb :P
linux moment
I can tell by this image you are a real one
What headphones you running with that amp?
sweet!
rk61s are horrible
so unreliable
I'm still rocking beyerdynamic dt770's
I've had them for like 5 or 6 years
Theres many different versions and revisions of the rk61
qc probably verys a lot between them
Ive had mine for years and its been fine :P
I have a set edifier r1280T's I use for mixing
bro where talking about headphones in keyboard chat
linus server moment
KEF r3?
q150*
ah
idk why I thought r3 :P
completely different speaker
It looks better
I mean i can make custrom build, i like how G512 looks like, Genesis Thor i like bc of price (53ā¬), and then i can buy some gatheron red or yellow
??
lol
What is???
Why trash??
My classmate have Thor 404 and i like it
I mean its not best looking but price is nice and then for 30$ you can buy gatheron yellow
I can not live with full size keyboard
Sorry, I mean that i need full size, bc any shorter is hard for me
Bro, cmon
Its old
I need new one
Its old one but unused
I want smth like G512 or Thor 303
there literally ass
at least this keyboard types when i want it to
What that is??
Gatheron?
Magegee
probably
hmnmm
ive been looking for a keyboard with a matte white finish. Unfortunately that has like the metallic sort of texture tho
Any recs for a high quality typists keyboard which is mechanical (preferably Brown like switches)? Also with no RGB nonsense - just a white backlight?
I donāt know where to look. Iām in the US
Anything within $200? Wired is okay
Topre feels better than MX
ion know mine works fine
and they're all shit I bet
there's an entite album of people with dead rk61s
quit buying cheapshit boards and buy a realforce
tweaker
idk Ive had mine for almost 2 years and have had no problems with it
I got it for like $15 used on ebay so I guess my expectations weren't high to begin with
It has gateron milky yellows
W imo
hi
has anyone tried the epomaker rt100? I havent been able to find much in the way of reviews
looking for an alternative to my tofu60 w creams and $100 seems like a good price
ah
anything comparable for the price?
i just miss my arrowkeys bc I didnt know what I was doing with the layout (i forgot which one I got) and the tenkey is nice
hhkb >
[ ; ' and / are arrow keys
hmm I have a fn key on my keyboard that ive only used for the function row but i forgot abt the remapped arrow keys- gonna feel like an idiot if theyre there after all this time lmao
Oh hell no, I hate tiny keyboards
kinda flubbed because the "alt" keys should be 1u but it's whatever
Even though I rarely use the numpad I still need one
Not having one on a desktop is ridiculous IMO
"tiny" >:3
macropad/seperate numpad
All that crap gets in the way, it's all separate and a mess. Would have a macopad, knob, numpad, nah. Too much
how would a seperate numpad get in the way but a normal numpad would not
Because I move my keyboard around
Like having everything on the board itself
Would have two knobs, a numpad, and a macopad all separate, nah.
wires too
Especially that, would be a mess

60% hhkb + numpad with fn layer
optimal
only feature u would not have would be a knob lmao
Too many cables
Add on the macropad and knob and hell no
if u get a good keyboard with QMK , u can remap the entire keyboard , have access to several layers , can do the same as a full size
it's two cables that can be easily combined
^
I alr got all the functions of a tkl
Tell that to my function keys
Also numpad
numbers on a layer
numpad with fn layer toggle = macropad
Too far away
?????????
Can't hit that with my left hand
Macros should be right there
Not halfway across Africa
Not using wasd sounds like something I ain't gonna do
what are you on
put the fent away
custom firmware is the goat
google home at the pc?
Controlls all my philips hue lights
h9 flow
ah
switching soon bcs im sick of it ngl
sick of the layout?
look of the h9
going for a black case next
used to have lian li pretty good but not my style
I like the looks but the layout and ease of use was my main concern
sadly gonna be unused for a long while
I went sff and can't be asked to return it
I'm gonna get a fractal ridge
sick
downgraded to a 4070 (for now)
6900xtxh (good binned 6900xt basically)
Anyone knows a good keyboard for 50$?
What size?
keychron c3 pro for around $30 is a good starter
Realforce
realforce
realforce
realforce
I second this. Love these things for $30 bracket
num pad layer lock goes hard
unfunny lol
I haven't missed not having a numpad, but I also don't have to type a lot of numbers often either.
lol realforce
FC980C tho
slap that in a heavy-6
After having a 60% keyboard for a couple of years now. I'm in the "keyboards need a numpad" camp. I hate not having one. But I guess it all comes down to how much you use said numpad.
after years of being in the TKL and 60% camp
I kinda want another keyboard with a numpad
but not to use it
just to have it

Hahaha
tbh I quite like numpads but there are not a lot of good boards with one and they take up too much space on my desk, and that if I buy some good keycaps I have to pay for the numpad keycaps
i have one of these
Layout is too fucked for me
If i have arrow keys they have to be on the right side
yea right, just buy one
I'll probably wait for the bina
numpad necessary and epic
So real
Another reason to buy realforce, which has a built in numpad layer for non full-size models
I honestly hate numpad layers in staggered layouts
it's too weird
hey guys, can glory red switches go on redragon k552 kumara
Rattles a bit eh?
whats a layer /s
Anyone knows an good amazon keyboard for under 50$?
tkl mechanical

Theres an switch mx brown
option for the same price
Are these cherry?
it is not hotswap apparently, i lied
red or brown for gaming?
red
does red is mean for gaming on all the switch makers?
pretty much, shorter travel/lighter springs
just ordered this https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08RHJCGJJ/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

oh no
You could have gotten a c3 pro or smth like that
It woulda been a lot better
is this place for mouse related stuff
Yea, sorta
cool
i like my deathadder v2 mini but its sad to see it discontinued
i wonder where i can still get a new one, SEA btw
That's gonna be a tall order. Obviously you could just try the v3
But dunno if that's gonna be the one
ive been a DA user for over a decade and i like it a lot, the problem is, that
i thought i like big mice, like this and G403 but turns out i like small right handed mice
so... yeah, i would get a viper mini too but i touched one, not my kind of mouse
also im a heavy macro user so i kinda stick to razer mice
gaming mice is amazing for productivity btw
*are
I don't understand the macro part, the v2 mini has lots of button or?
the macro only works with razer synapse
like, i have to rewrite everything if i switch to a (boy forbid) logitech mouse
i hate logitech's g hub
for example, per-program profile switching
Ah
I was like, Logitech onboard memory manager is fine
But then you use that per program thing
like my mouse button is left tab and right tab on browser but in photoshop are different
this is a basic feature for all name brand mice but obvsly i have to rewrite if i switch brands and i dont want to
also the V3 dont have that button below the scroll wheel
i use it a lot, its my close tab button for browsers
The dpi change button?
Yea they moved it to the bottom
i want a more versatile mouse
i like the v3 but the price is just not worth it
i got mine for just 16 usd ish and its a steal
Might as well switch to MX master or something
Taobao probably has a lot of new old stock
nah i checked
Dav3ās shape is quite a bit different from v2 if youāre considering that
Can anyone recommend the best cheapest mechanical keyboard? Around $40.
thats not cheap, but try keychron
$40 doesn't give you a lot of options for mechanical. Look at Redragon
Keychron c3 pro is also a decent budget option
yes, but the C3 Pro is almost $40, this was like $20 and has brown switches.
Iām more of a thlarccy kind of person š¤
could be that my kbd has a lot of foam
I know epomaker is crap but I never knew about item 3 and 4
wow
shit company
personally love akko cream yellow and matcha
and ws morandi for a quieter build
????
what does akko switch has to do with cherry profile keycaps
yeah
whats wrong with that
its compatible
I am using akko switch with mx keycaps right now
that thing just makes the keycap wobble less
they have good factory lube job, can surely recommend them
buying a realforce is pretty painless
i ordered the parts
I'm 500 dollars lighter
RAHHH TOPREEEEEEEE
WTF IS A DECENT PRICE
realforce
And other funny jokes to tell people
depending on your board there might alr be switch pads installed
and just stuff your kbd with foam
I would recommend not getting a gmmk but it should have enough dampening
wow that space bar tick when it goes up in the second sound test with the mt3 profile keycaps ... awful
is it me or they just sound scratchy in the first sound test with the cherry profile keycaps ...
most likely something not possible to hear when using it anyway.
those are now on my to buy list I guess

does any one know of any like good clear black duble shot pbt keycaps
logitech g513 good for a first time mechanical user?
highly doubtful
yeah def not
how come?
and g815?
just want a silent experience honestly
maybe im better off with a membrane or optical keyboard then?
shit quality
type-s hhkb pro2 or silence a realforce/pro2 yourself
really? but its solid hardware, no?
hmm
argentina here tho
also i basically have no budget so what would be cheaper to get?

how expensive is that?
secondhand under 200 is common provided you're in US, JP, or CN
ah bummer
could import it if fees aren't too bad
for once I actually agree that HHKB is the better option for silent build
I am not recommending it
just that for once hhkb is a logical option
Topre is not silent when stock
And āsilencingā it doesnāt make it all that quiet either
Also
You donāt need stupid shit like switch pads to have a silent keyboard
Just use good silents
Shit aināt that hard
Words
You literally donāt
is there silent topres?
there is after mods, not sure if there are any stock
type-s
there you go
if you mean acoustically silent then no
i'm looking for a key switch that sounds like how typing sounds in a cartoon.
aint that bad lol
kailh box white, jade, pale blue, navy, pink, etc
zealpc clickiez
many options
matias alps clones
do yall think a Razer Ornata V2 would be a better keyboard than the Logitech G213 Prodigy
hey any keychron q1 v2 owners who could help me get rid of the metallic pin? already installed the acoustic upgrade kit as well as the tempest mod. the metal ping comes from the front plate - it appears even when I have the frame removed
yes mounting plate sorry
theres already foam between the pcb and the plate which is part of the acoustic upgrade kit
like i said, its a mouse :D
custom built to fit in an altoids tin
with extra buttons
As it was written
buy a realforce instead
Any specific ones I should be looking at?
So real
When can we expect to see keychron q5 he and q6 he?
unsurprisingly, this does not feel comfy to use
the thumb buttons are too close to the mouse clicks
so you need to claw grip it
also clicking is hard without a case , whoda thunk
Custom wooden knob.
this doesn't look like a keyboard to me
its a mouse?

if i wanted clicky i wouldve used jades i think right? or was it robins
nah chocs are actually good for that use case
i mean the chocs
there was actually clicky chocs of some sort
browns arent that clicky
My brown switch keyboard came in today.
dude that is vile
Hey anyone have experience testing PCBs for functionality?
I have a KeebsForAll FreebirdTKL. Last week I sat down at my desk after lunch, and when I touched my keyboard, I received a decent static shock. After the shock, my keyboard did not function. I tried different cables and connected it to different computers. It is not even detected. I took everything apart yesterday and didnāt see any noticeable damage to the PCB. I did notice that when I plugged it in, the micro processor was warm to the touch, so itās getting power at least. I also noticed this PCB has a reset button. I tried a short press and a long press (30 seconds), but neither seemed to do anything.
Any suggestions on troubleshooting? Or is the PCB shot?
sounds like the PCB is fucked
for testing use tweezers or similar
i would contact keebsforall
Yeah thatās what I figured, but thought Iād hit up@some different resources to see if thereās anything else I can try/test.
I did think about that. Havenāt explored those options yet.
$45 sure does beat $70 for replacement...
Ah I see that now.
Prefer hot swappable
There I cleaned my desk. It's amazing what 2 lysol wipes can do for you. Anyway my new Brown Switch Keyboard.
hahahaha
it was pretty gross ngl...
Lol jk. I needed to do that.
but at least u cleaned it!
I need a new desk pad though, Mines all warped.
sorry what
The one I had before it was curling up and being hard to use.
Artisan mouse pads
I did not clean my desk before taking this. Rocking this absolutely awful Lenovo keyboard until I resurrect mine.
sick
Christmas present from my father-in-law of all people. He bought the entire family little Lego sets for Christmas. It was great.
its pretty good
how do you game with a master
aren't they 90-100g
ah
I'm not
they're just sub optimal
g600
this lenovo keyboard is so bad... it hurts. literally.
i see three keyboards in this photo. what are they?
What's a good basic full keyboard for gaming, I live in israel and my budget is 100$
thocky keyboard
nice
how am i meant to clean my keyboard if i cant take the keycaps off
it says "dont remove the keycaps" in the 2nd image
so it's a total lie???
i would like some help finding a good 80% that's <$150
Itās an Okita Souji keycaps set, could be found on AliExpress.
I got it for $25, though your mileage may vary.
Our floral lineup of low-profile switches have been met with growing enthusiasm since their launch with Air96, and we have been busy experimenting with the secret recipe of ultra-long travel, high-precision mold, and pre-lubing, looking for ways to perfect it and give you more flavours. Taking a page from Gateronās Baby Kangaroo, Moss is the fir...
all of those sound the same!!!
I don't understand
I need a new keyboard but all of the switch options are fucking me up
my cope would be
"iTs baSicaLLy tOpRe"
Buy realforce
are they light?
I need a keyboard to carry with my SFF computer
Yes
to be light and small
Hhkb
then get a type S or something
?
the weight seems ok though
it just looks very chunky and tall
I will look into it
Would you be more interested in a low profile mechanical?
yeah, would reduce the space in a backpack
I already have a keychron k8 pro for my stationary desktop
Lofree has some decent low profiles, pricey though
Not a big fan but nuphy has low profiles as well
my girlfriends pc doesnt have bluetooth but she wants a bluetooth keyboard and has sony mx5's she wants to connect. is a good solution a bluetooth 5 usb adapter? or do they come with great latency? i saw they are pretty cheap aswell.
blutooth will have more latency than wired/2.4 ghz no matter the dongle
yeah i get that. but its not that a bluetooth adapter is worse than standard bluetooth that would be build-in?
no
she wants to buy a logitech k380s but i guess its only bluetooth and doesnt come with a 2.4ghz dongle..
I mean if its for normal typing it should be fine (I have never used it before but my friends seems to be fine with it)
but for things like gaming it would be bad
she will be playing some games. but im talking planetzoo and the sims 4. mayyybe minecraft sometimes
i guess for minecraft it wouldnt be nice.
It won't matter unless shes playing competitive games
un-windowsified my keeb
Which keyboard is better?
Keychron Q6 Pro QMK
Or
Corsair k70 max
q6
If media buttons are a necessity, then that's the only circumstance I would ever recommend corsair
The keychron is def the better board tho
Trying out some different materials
it do look clean tho
This is the most next level cope I've ever seen š
I just wanted to get rid of the windows button
Whats wrong with that?
My keeb, my choice
60% but no forced hhkb bottom row
smh
thats paper
A switch I didn't use
Your next š
||nah I wont go that far||
Windows key deserved it tho
It had it coming eventually
I feel no remorse for removing the windows key
the rest are fine tho
just sand it down
lmao
I'm quite happy with this
That's exactly what I'm going for
I'm glad someone finally noticed
most of yall have no sense of aesthetic
I have an intellimouse
the m65 just more comfy to use tho
and also looks like a mouse form 10+ years ago :)
actually wait.. the design is from 10 years ago š
the thing that slightly makes me noot to buy keychron is the corsair's optical key switches. are there any optical keys for keychron?
its like optical switches + media keys vs quality
keychron optical switches?
You could always put optical switches in the keychron
the corsair might have soldered switches (I'm not sure) - can't change them without de soldering
what do you think?
i think its same as when you make chara walk slower or faster while using a joystick
the more you lean the thumbsticks forward, the faster the chara walks
the more you press the key in the faster your chara will walk
or is it something else?
optical isn't that worth it
better off getting a wooting tbh
Realforce is better
Optical is linear
They do rely on springs
Itās similar in that they are both linears
Is keychron a good brand to buy from?
Realforce is better
So i should check out realforce and kbdfans
$150 or less, tactile switches and noise doesnt really matter
I dont want it to be too loud
So thocky or creamy
realforce
skip to the end of the keyboard hobby pipeline
I don't recommend anything else because it is my opinion that a topre board is the best choice for the large majority of users
I am being real.
I joined the hobby in 2016 and saw many hobbyists quit with a topre keyboard
people who have churned thousands of dollars worth of keyboards
and it's still happening
building your keyboard is overrated as shit
the novelty is there the first time and afterwards it's just cope
shit is tedious and boring
so why are you disagreeing with me?
"building" applies to barebones
if you can barely tell how to lube switches then why are you trying to give advice?
that seems like a cope for not being able to afford a custom keeb
..or being a child who doesn't have that kind of money to spend yet
If thats the case, save your money!
buddy I own like 7 keyboards
my current keeb was only $70 total
7 mechanical keyboards?
thats like saying you can work at a first responder call centre just because you know how to do CPR
yes?
How are you so far deep.. then you say its overrated?
me being this deep gives some weight to my opinion of it being overrated doesn't it?
I've played like 2 thousand hours worth of apex and I think it's a shit game
ok ok.. but why come here and be a d about it?
I can say this because I've played 2 thousand hours of it
Am I in the wrong for calling someone out when they give bad advice?
thats on you for being unable to see it
gamer keeb enthusiast: š¤¬
typist keeb enthusiast: š§ šæ
fr
He spent money on keebs and expected to be better at them
then did that 7 times
I could argue I'm more of a typist enthusiast than the both of you seeing as I exclusively care about keyfeel over sound š«”

80% everything but the numpad
Realforce makes tkl and fullsize
60% form factor can be found in the hhkb
Other form factors like 96 and 66 can be found in the fc980c and fc660c
They do make a tkl gaming board
Itās called the gx1
The whole point is a have a great keyboard to use
The fact that many ogs who have churned again thousand of dollars worth of boards quit with topre says something Iād say yes?
nah i dont need no fancy keyboard just something nice to get me off this damn 2011 ass office keyboard
š¤
š¤
what stage are you talking about
there is no stage
trying to phrase things this way doesn't make you seem smarter nor more sophisticated
i wish people would make good layouts
all i see are the same boring rowstag rectangles
I've made numpad hhkb
not exactly very original but it's cool and niche
my key beside r and y ain working any help? is a razer hunsman mini
nah like when i use fn i works
i fixed it i think
some macro was being perma locked onto T so i made a new profile
I have issues with some keys on my keyboard, sometimes they double click and sometimes it doesn't register the key press
Happens with some specific keys (A, O, space bar... It is a slowly growing list)
I have outemu red switches
Tried cleaning and all but no fix
try changing the working switch to the malfunctioning ones
and see if its a switch issue or not
nice
realforce
i think you should shut up XD
god you are sad. i can tell by the way you type you are fat
you got a good one
I found a pro1 on mm for $300 a while back
was tempting
I forgort
how much are they on there
wtf
idk why it did that

<@&750150305383186585> harrasing
trolling
can you stop.
just spamming realforce to every whoever is in the chat
ah, so if the others spam i should too
logic
sure, then donāt spam, troll and harass people
sure, go on block me then.
realforce
realforce
Yeah there is a reason half of this channel is blocked messages for me now
ignorance of the truth
Man i just want to have one conversation about mechanical keyboards without someone bringing up realforce, hhkb, or topre
Anyone prefer the Deathstalker V2 to the G915?
I'd use neither
š
ASUS ROG Strix Scope II 96 + ASUS ROG Harpe
Or
Polar 65 + G pro super-light
Second option
Second option, is there any reason why you buy GPX or Harpe?
do what
