Doe anyone know blue-grey japanese keycap designs?
Is any good redragon kumara?
Hey folks, about how often should I be lubing my switches? ~6 months? ~1 year? More? Less? Ballpark is good. I'm overdue I know for sure, just looking for recommendation
lube when you feel the sound and feel is not good as when it was first lubed š
Huh

swapping my out old box jades for the thick click bar ones
Is there any keyboard that i can use at night for my gaming sesh? My roommate is very sensitive to sound. I want something dead silent that when you press it you wouldnt hear a thing (maybe barely hearing something)
If you know many keyboard can you guys sort them into 3 low mid and high (cost wise)
I would appreciate it a lot
Unless kailh revised the jades with even thicker click bars, havenāt you just bought the same thing
no, the thicker click bar ones were made in collabration with novelkeys
The navy was made with nk
People wanted a lighter switch with a navy clickbar so they made the jade
ye
Just ordered a razer keyboard for the first time, good or bad?
depends on which, most likely bad
Very clean
Epomaker Gk75 a good base for custom budget?
For how much? It's okay for cheap
What are some good keyboard stabilizers for a 75% keyboard
U know, like these things? https://divinikey.com/collections/keyboard-stabilizers
Which isā¦
Oh ok
Which is y Iām here
So what are some good stabilizers
Cherry Clip-in Stabilizers These are stabilizers using genuine Cherry Clip-in housings, used to stabilize the longer keys on your keyboard.2U stabilizers are available with silver wires, sourced from Cherry. 6.25U and 7U stabilizers in the kit are using black wires designed to meet cherry spec by CannonKeys. These stab
Are these good https://cannonkeys.com/products/tx-stabilizers
TX RevĀ AP Clip-In Stabilizers TX Stabilizers are premium PCB mount clip-in stabilizers that utilize a patented doubleshot stem. The stem contains a POM outside, and TPU + POMĀ plastic on the inside. This combination of plastics on the inside help reduce wire rattle and unwanted stabilizer noises. We are offering these s
3.0ās imo
Are those clip ins?
yes, theyāre basicly the same stabilizer but less tight so⦠not quite the same
Is there a link to them?
where do you live? minokeys is fine
Ah
not that hard to straight it up
I was told they were outdated and needed mods
better how?
cherry clips have less clipāin on the wire part so, more rattly without lube
A what now?
if you donāt want to lube them⦠some prelubed
Prelubed what?
^
Mistyped meant stabilizers
I tried doing that(I mean the wire and stems separated as if I was lubing them)with my stabilizers that came with the zoom 75 couldnāt get them back together however
Which ones there many different versions
3.0 (non ap)
uh⦠you didnāt manage to get them back together?
howā¦
My fingers start twitching for some reason
Designed by kin25 of TX keyboards, these clip-in stabilizers improve the from the original design of the cherry clip-in while providing rattling and wire pop out. Ye. Iāll be attempting to lube the ones I have before buying any other

thoughts on rk75?
Too many comments about RK making crap recently. They seem to have gone down the drain. I went with Keychron after considering RK stuff. Just my 2 cents tho.
Not saying to go buy Keychron. They just seem to make some stuff in the same price range with the same features.
rk was never good
yeah i found out
my keyboard is tweaking out... sometimes when i play games and for example tap a, it keeps holing the key down? physically it's not pressing down, but it keeps holding a.. what can i do?
hey guys, i very recently got myself a white Logitech G713 LIGHTSYNC TKL (brown/tactile switches)
does anyone have recommendations for a matching (appearance and functionality) keypad? i realized after buying that i actually need the keypad for certain things
i suppose, alternatively to white, something sky blue might look nice too, to contrast w/the white (it might also help to know i have a white Logitech G502 X Plus Lightspeed mouse)
Thanks
Try searching your local stores as well you might find good ones as well

wife has a corsair k70 rgb mk2 keyboard. How do I know which keyswitches are compatible with this keyboard. she wants a more "thonky" sounding keyboard (like this: https://www.tiktok.com/@mechbunni/video/7330385852582939947?is_from_webapp=1&sender_device=pc&web_id=7271435620924032554)
so key switches aren't really "universal" if you have a keyboard that you can replace the keyswitches?
Look what I found in my keyboard after taking it apart because there were ants coming out of the gaps
thank you for the rec! much appreciated for your input ā¤ļø tried looking around for your recommendation first, but i ultimately ended up going with https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0B9NTHFS3
I figured brown/tactile keys aren't super important for me for a keypad, but at least it's hotswappable in case i ever need to upgrade. linear fox w/pre lubing seems to be nice too, so i'll see how i feel w/it first
aesthetically, i think it fits well w/the others, but we'll see!
shouldāve kept them there
I was using that keyboard
see ants coming out of keyboard
look inside
ants
Hahaha
Very nice choice. Yea i went for a the white look and the brown switches as you mentioned, seen some other white colored ones but they didnt match the aesthetics of your keyboard
This one looks awesome
Hi all, I need some help:
I want to implement a repeatable/toggle macro in my keyboard but can't find any info. I doesnt look like rocket sience, but the closer i got Is with "Key lock" function in QMK that i dont know how to use.
Keyboad: Keychron V3. Firmware 1.2 (needed for using delays) .
Does anyone have an idea? just repeat 1 key every few seconds work for me.
Check my About Me
What do y'all think of Razer keyboards?
overpriced
Yeah
Yup.
I want to push a key and send the same key over and over again until I psuh the same key again
I already try it, cant find anything related to this.
fire is the only solution at this point
Does anyone know how to fix this
wdym
Do I have to explain? You just sent a pic of your Cheeto crusted dead skin flaked greasy ass keyboard to everyone
You dont
It the type of keyboard where you throw it away when it breaks and get another one at the flea market for free
Nice pad, which nordic layout keycaps are those
Lay the metal bar flat and push down on the keycap
Underneath the keycap should be a c clip thatās molded in which clips onto the metal bar
you are just a germaphobe
thats one of the cleaner keyboardsa ive seen in this server
It gets worse?
Oh mother of pearl
lol you should see mine
Cmon man just a qtip and some windex for the tight spots goes a long way
i have pets that shed alot so under all my keys is just fur and i only clean it when it starts affecting the keys becasue its a loosing battle
it do be kinda gross though. cant avoid a little spit mixing in cause of talking in vc while gaming
I have no idea what one could do with pet hair, your own individual hairs here or there is difficult enough
surprisingly it stays clean most of the time and i only have to clean it every year or so
its on the floor and its an open air pc
I must be very particular doing this every other week.
Wow really open air
Quite literally
Iād be more worried about your fans than keyboard
@magic wolf you can hang this case on the wall
standard vesa tv mount
Cool concept, not my cup of tea
I liked my case out of sight out of mind, and out of auditory range
So kinda the exact opposite of me
Oh, and tiny too
i mean mine doesn't make any noise
the fact its open air means the cool winter canada air flows right from my window into the pc and allows me to keep my 8086k @5.5ghz all core to sit around 70c with the fans at half speed and the water pump running at 32% speed
its also currently out of sight from where im sitting
and the rgb is turned off so out of mind
A man of self-respect. Just for the camera eh?
On second thought, itās actually pretty tame
Good stuff Bob I like it
Quiet enough to hear coil whine and the hdd read heads
I would turn up the rad fans just a little bit more to even out that frequency distribution
Good Lord
I know microphones will always try to even out frequency so it can make things sound louder than it really are but that would drive me nuts
are mine that bad? D:
recommend a kb under 50 US?
realforce
aula f75 or ak820 pro
realforce isnāt $50
not even used.
something that's tkl or bigger?
realforce rgb sucks
cheapass keycaps
to get them shine thru
another $20 bucks tbh
still not $50
did I ever say "50 US"?
keychron C probably
wireless?
I'm starting to realize I have many asks
realforce r3
there are not many options in that range
aint that like 300 or something
i'd have to check what i got in the last 14 months
But i am afraid it would get close in number
did the fbi take some of your boards?
@bitter oar how do you feel about some random old keyboards I have being worth more than all of the keyboards youāve ever owned
but the real question is , does it thock?
Xerox layout goes really hard
I should remake this someday with my videowriter
just browns
thereās also the f87
not sure about that one though
has to be wireless, tkl at $50?
i don't recall there being white stemmed alps linears
are those more than $1000 altogether?
or 1200
if the xerox had neons it would be like >2k i guess
if you want to use flip value
600 is more appropriate maybe
šik someone with the bottom one that got it nos for basically nothing
bro
But they neither use it or are into keebs that much
the days of nos chinese pingmasters were the shit
Just were in the right place at the right time (basically neigbors with alessio)
alessio mentioned, hater mode engaged š¤¬
two-faced
Heard people shittalk him before, but basically always was people that did at least as much as they accused him of
personally I got the vibe from him the moment he showed up
vindicated recently by someone I know
In what way specifically
Don't think i can share the story
alright then
trust me bro š„¹
I mean the last time i have seen someone complain about him it was because "he talked behund their back"
Which was exactly what that person themselves was doing
Anyways, have a keeb
ye
thing really pops with sp stars on pc
(also kkb voc is amazing)
ig pops isn't the right terminology nowadays, just sounds pretty nice

its plocky duh
rather resonant, which is a plus for me
not some 0 internal volume board
which then proceeds to sound dead no matter what
Love to see it
hm?
prob some long pole bs?
Total travel: 3.1mm
iirc , he bought o-rings from mech.land and got a free switch

i dont mind long poles
coulda got a free f75
Can we ask about mice here? Im looking at switching to a wireless mouse but they all seem so expensive except for a select few. Any recommendations?
Id prefer to spend around $50 or less. I dont want to spend like 150 on a mouse
You can lookup Logitech mice for that, they have some around that price mark. But if you wish to you can also dive into the 2nd hand market and maybe you can get some sweet deal.
I was looking at the Logitech g305 or maybe the Steelseries rival 3. I also saw a g303 shroud on Amazon Renewed for like 50. Not sure about the renewed one though
Both options look decent, you might wanna watch some reviews of them online and then pull the trigger
Don't forget to search some 2nd hand marketplaces, might find better models for quite a bit cheaper. That's how i found Logitech g502 wireless for around 50$.
darmoshark m3s
vxe r1
vgn f1
ew rival 3
Not good?
nop
What do you mean by that?
rare good dinky recommendation
itās mid iād say. the sensor is perfectly fine, skates fine for skates still kinda shit though, switches mid. shape is preference, coating is also mid.
depends on how you hold the mouse preferably also
Im coming from a steelseries prime for reference
Im usually a rough fingertip/palm grip
uh, that sounds like downgrade going from prime to rival 3
Is it? I thought the sensor was the same
why would you upgrade to the same thing basicly
Wireless
isnāt the primeās cable acceptable?
I mean its fine. I was trying to cut down on cables
I could just stick with what i haveš¤·āāļø
iād prolly get one of the things iāve listed rather than the rival 3 tbh
also, isnāt the rival 3 wireless like 100g+
Rougly yeah
aa/aaa battery needed eh
good weight
anything under 80g will be usable
over that sucks
I mean there are plenty of mice over 80g
Im seeing that there are a shocking amount of used mice.
Yup, enjoy picking :)
Going to second Darmoshark M3/M3s. Regular M3 is like 45$. It feels different from a Prime because the rear end and hump is a different ergonomic but it's not a bad thing. I use a Prime+ also and the switch is noticeable. M3s is slightly smaller from looking at the dimensions. I really like my M3 though. Darmoshark seemed like some knockoff crap at first but they are not.
looking for a keyboard my budget is 75 euros
layout preference? do you want prebuilt or kit/barebone
Ill look in to them. Definitely not the weirdest brand ive heard of
pre built
look at keychron v series
it looks nice but maybe not what im looking for
realforce
what are you looking for then'
60 precent and like red switches if possible with the bluetooth tongle
bluetooth dongle?
yeah
does it have the dongle
some version does
Keychron V4 QMK Custom Mechanical Keyboard does this come with the dongle
look at its description
if it says 2.4ghz or trimode then it does
if it doesnt say that then it doesnt
I dont think any keychron has 2.4ghz
its quite rare for a custom/non-gaming keyboard to have one
ok
and most of the ones I know that has 2.4ghz are 75% or tkl
ok i might just get the keychron one for 50 euros and buy a good cabne
Anyone have any thoughts on pulsar mice? I hear mixed reviews on QC but microcenter has the x2 premium mini for like $40. Could be that its not the v2
sounds like steal for 40 bucks
Even if its the v1?
yes
Maybe ill go with that since i can pick up today
Random question, but i can honestly say ive never seen a vertical, straight, enter key, only ansi (horizontal) and iso/jis
Any idea where itās supposed to go?
numpad
Yeah, numpadā¦
which profile is that?
Must be extra
Some custom profile, gk5
Seems these are the full set
Makes sense with the spares now
They feel good, sound good asw
*using gateron browns
you should buy a realforce next
If anything ill probably look to custom build next
Proper 3/5 pin, instead of optical, although these arenāt bad
Came with a proper two side tool, pretty neat
tbh would be shame if it didnāt in 2024
theyāre nice
neat if they would include also switch openers and stem holders
your loss š«”
Lemme guess, die hard realforce fan
I guess, most ive seen still come with the shitty plastic ring, cap pullers
I am simply a firm believer of skipping to the best thing
youād be correct
second realforce fan ^
and you stan some random chinese company that rips you off
I'd argue we're better my g
realforce - $220
random chinesium company keyboard - $30
it must be a miserable existence to lack an understanding of nuance and context
I truly wish you the best in life
in the ārip-offā part iād say real force does worse in that regard
no price drops? the keyboards donāt cost that much to manufacture
I need a good gaming keyboard!!! Can anyone suggest few?
budget?
150-200 max
thatās out of their budget for brand new one
stop spitting bullshit please
also, he looks for gaeming keyboard. whatās the latency of your favorite keyboard
you donāt even know
they may?
m8 my realforce has a polling rate of 125hz and I'm still statistically better than 90% of the playerbase in like 2 games
man youāre just shilling realforce real hard
and ya call me for doing so with the epomaker boards
i had hhkb in hands and it was nothing outstanding
its okay dinky
it wasnāt some holy moly keyboard
one day you'll get it
šŖ
donāt the R2 rgbās have abs keycaps?
doubleshot abs keycaps not?
it even states it there lmao
awww
just like those 3 times
you still hadnāt answered me why do you delete your own messages and the server link youāve sent me
then to claim you didnāt and call me delusional,
you said you didnāt send me the link
thatās not the same thing
not same thing.
youāre just a topre shill thatās alr
you hadnāt paid attention to mx style switches for 3 years probably
or more
both of you
yes you do
meh, that sounds like disinformation for the other people then
dinky may i suggest you look into vintage keyboards
learn whenever topre is good or not truly? Also, keyboard hobby itself is not that deep as it seems
Also, alot of your opinions are bullshit if you hadnāt realized
instead of learning about whatever new aliexpress profile is popular with the poor kids
I think it would be a positive experience for you
calling that $30 shit for example? for no appearent reason
and you might get the chance to use something other than mx clones for once
you didnāt give me a single good reason why it sucks
stop it.
answer
ignorant.
you realize if youād spend extra times on everything like that youād end up spending wayy more overall. thatās not how it works
and for the last time budget is also a preference
no issues with your preference but rather you pushing your own preference to other peopleās preferences
budget is one of them
like how
because youāre recommending shit expensive stuff to people with fraction of the budget.
itās super simple
shit expensive for them
what does as experience count then?
desoldering? lmao
they ask for $50. give them something within $50 or little over
thereās not the issue whenever you try or not but you suggest realforce to literally everyone
then whole LTT server is like that because if you would pull of something like that in tc1 but not with topre but rather gpus or cpus they would eat you
alive
is it that hard to understand the term ābudgetā
or is it you having hella ass amount of money and not caring
you don't seem to realise that keyboard "performance" doesn't progress every year
common sense, if someone asks for sub $200 cpu you donāt recommend him a 14900k
the difference here is the 14900k will be irrelevant in like 5 years
a realforce will still be relevant 10-20 years later
.
but, people simply donāt care they want cheap and not spend $200 out of sudden on a keyboard
the $30 would probably be better than they expect for under $50
and so we should oblige them instead of suggesting what we think is the better choice?
simply itās super simple. not everyone wants to spend that much on a keyboard. I own some $20 headphones because i simply donāt care but i still picked some olā good instead of crappy gaming headphones that would serve better as some osd buzzer
so what did you get dinky
hd681ās high treble is the issue
the bass, mids are almost flat in the most part
they, ksc75ās are better, they do have some drops though
are you sure you did proper research?
i never said theyāre better than anything above the price point, like porta pros
$20 wonāt get me better
also, i donāt recommend the hd681ās cause theyāre also not very comfortable due to the clamping force
at the time of purchase they were more.
hm so they aren't very good are they
did you know, the audeze mobius
which is a gaming headset
shits on your superlux 24/7?
are you sure you didn't confuse them with portapros?
nice choice lol
dinky I'm starting to distrust your opinions man
no, ksc75ās and porta prod are different and proās cost more. they also have mic there is also wireless version
keep wafflin
i bought them also for the soundstage
open air what do you complain
theyāre more of a semi though
they stage quite shit
but they're open back dinky!!!
i thought you said open back means good soundstage
where and since i said open air means gut
.
on average open air/back are better
you implied it
on what average
last I checked you can't measure soundstage
dinky I'm starting to think you're pulling shit out your ass man
like you do with keyboards
its saddening really
I know next to nothing compared to some of my peers in the audio space
really says how little dinky does lol
https://www.rtings.com/headphones/tools/compare/superlux-hd-681-vs-audeze-mobius/471/689?usage=20&threshold=0.10 is this enough to satisfy you?
thank you for reinforcing my opinion of your knowledge of the audio hobby
in case you didn't know rtings is quite a shit site for audio
and i suppose you're one of those people that judge only based on graphs
despite barely being able to read them
then give me a better source, or someone from the audio community you know who owns the shit or knows the shit
IEF
Also, iām not really sure but can any of them name more appearent issues of the hd681ās than being bright-harsh, not quite following the harman curve, high clamping force, sucking earcups, very cheap plastic, the cable easily broken off?
is it one of the bigger audio servers?
No because nobody has cared about this piece of shit since 2020 LOL
If it isnāt big will you think the advice provided there isnāt good?
that was a question, never said it was bad/good
I know a very small server with many people who have gear you can only dream of owning
How was it a good question
What would you have done with the information
If you were curious you wouldāve joined it to see for yourself
Or well maybe Iām overestimating you
also, the start of the argument was i donāt care enough so, the point still stands.
iāll probably just eq tune the hd681ās and enjoy them just fine
My bad
Itās one of the biggest audio servers around
Maybe the biggest currently
if i would care more about audio iād immediately buy koss porta proās wireless
i did consider them but thr hd681ās are just fine
i donāt listen to much music anyway
for keyboards i do care
topre hater = not care about keyboards?
from your point of view
Bro just openly admitted to hating topre and thought we wouldnāt notice
you missed the part where i said from your point of view
you guys overrate them and i disagree with the over exaccuration of āhow good they areā imo theyāre just fine, feel wise
sound wise meh though imo
One day youāll understand dinky
I have faith in you, no matter how many decades it will take
š
when? once i get hhkb or what lmao
i hope you one day understand the term ābudgetā
finally here we go
now when they put $50 with such word
you should suggest them something within or atleast around $50
so, use the ewaste oem crap?
A lot of the ewaste youāre referring to are far better keyboards than anything you have
I love my epomaker, good solid keyboard. Feels nice to use, only downside is the mounting for the screen on the rt100 is super weak
epomaker is soo trash š
worst customer service on this planet
If ya say so
I was gonna talk to them about product support for the screen but genuinely never got around to it. Product is good though
My gk L key on the board broke so now i use a 75% keyboard gor general use and that 60% for gaming i feel like a nerd
Plus i needed the function keys arros and del key for excel L
Guyssd
What are blux switches xd?
@patent belfry hellooo (real sorry for ping,im inpatient afšš)
annoying
switches, but blue
Are Inplay keyboards worth it?
And what about this? I don't give a damn about whether it's mechanical or not, as long as the keys feel good and tactile and the versatility is sky||e||-high
looks like the keyboard world might be as falsely objective as the audio world
so i was pushing down on one of my keys on my keyboard and it wasnt working but once i pushed it down a little hard it was working barely and then i had to take off the keycap and push on the switch and boom works perfectly fine now. any reason why this happened?
Im now looking to get a new keyboard. switching from my steelseries apex 7 tkl as i would like something with simpler software controls and hot-swappable. I like the tkl format and i prefer wired. Is keychron still decent, i was looking at maybe the C1 pro.
whats your budget
for keychron get the V or Q series
C series is alright I guess and K is just crap
Preferably 100 ish or less, little over 100 wont kill. Whats wrong with k series?
usd?
both Q and K series is really basic, no foam, no gasket, and no software support (pro version has iirc) but K is just really overpriced
do you mind getting a barebone and putting your own switches and keycaps
Yes usd. I dont mind barebones, im just not super picky with switches
akko m3
I mean monsgeek m3
nvm
I didnt realise it is so expensive even on aliexpress
Yeah i was going to say that raises the price a bit as the barebones is already over 100
I dont need a lot of extra features, just like volume controls
galaxy 80
it sounds alright even when not modded
or gmk87 if you dont mind the screen
Didnt realize that was prebuilt for some reason. Colorways look nice but im not sure if its my style of not
Anything i need to look for on these if im using for games? I can't image most will be very different if they are wired
if you are using it wired then no problem at all, bluetooth can have some noticeable latency if the case is made out of alu
you should buy a realforce instead
doees anyone have a video on how to fix dobule typing
i've now removed my backspace key
and i think i need to look over everything
cause everything is double typing
love that beige
reminds me of my keyboard
and it looks clean with the RGB
I absolutely love it
Haha I feel like mine might feel a little better to use but damn do you win on style points xDD
I've come to hate smooth
and i have motherboard PS2 so idm
Hahahaha
Hell yeah haha
like 3 kg
I'll be lucky if mine lasts 15 lmao
True true
idek if alps balck and alps salmon swtiches still exist
Maybe it's worth paying the price for them now and storing them while they're still manufactured
alps black are getting rare
I'm sure lol
Lmao
Once you've had 45ish years with that one keyboard is it not time to consider an upgrade? Haha
Ohhhh
its an amazing board
I thought you'd been running it constantly
nah
i got it 6 months ago
it had been in an office for maybe a good 12 years of its life
I mean it's done its service to the user haha
plenty of usage
Im trying to search, but cant fimd much
i think its alps black but i havent taken it apart
i dont have a keycap remove
and i dont have the finer nails for it

guysss where do i buy outemu switchesss
im looking for some quiet ones at a reasonable price (20$ max)
express
That looks kinda dumb for anything other than like playing roblox
Im currently looking at the Keychron C1 Pro and the V3. Normally they are roughly the same price depending on the version but the V3 is on sale right now. The V3 is a better buy yes?
Hot swap version of C1 pro is 75 usd. Complete V3 is 69, barebones even cheaper.
yo ngl is it just me or is the sound of really clicky keyboards so annoying
i used to have a french teacher who had a really clicky keyboard and everytime she used it I would mute my audio just so I wouldnt hear it
clicks suck
I like them if it's a quieter click or a nice sounding one
Tactiles are the way to go
This is how beginner keyboard enjoyer feelsā¦. they just like keyboards until they realize how annoying one can sound using one

Can you send me links if possible
Fot some reason I really love how the h81 looks
Just look at the keychron website. Q1 is the same layout as the one you sent I think. They have Q1, Q1 pro, Q1 max, and some others that are not in the Q series but lower end. But I don't think the keyboard you linked is a bad one. If you like how it looks, go for it. But I haven't used it before so I can't personally vouch for it
Ate they wireless?
Are
The pro and max are. But more expensive
yeah, very nice switches too

Does anyone know if the solution to chattering is the same (isopropyl alcohol) for mech-dome (mem-chanical, idrk how it's called) keyboards ? I have this double typing/have to press multiple times until it works problem with my Logitech G213 and i've fixed it on mechanical keyboards before but idk if it's fixable on this kb. Thanks !

Is it just me or is the entire keyboard market overpriced?
I have a Razer blackwidow v4 pro and NGL it feels like $80 worth parts, still feels premium to me (got it for $150) but it seems like this entire market is overpriced except for the $15 Z15
Didn't know about that, sorry to misinform
ploopy
This does seem nice, I've thought about picking one up before but I am not sure if I'd like it more than my current mouse
I do like qmk though
These seem like a good deal, like half off compared to everywhere else. https://epomaker.com/products/cidoo-abm084?variant=45521277813044

Hello there! any feedback for best for gaming, worth, wireless, 75%, productivity:
NuPhy Halo75
or
NuPhy Field75?
Thinking about buying deathstalker v2 pro anyone know if there is better alternatives?
Im sure most people here would advise against peripheral brands like razer. What features do you want?
I have a Razer board, it's nice but certainly not worth the $230 price tag. At the $150 I paid for it it's fair I guess. Haven't used any other boards though so it's really being compared to a $15 Z15
When did you get it for 150?
Used on Amazon
Waited a while for a deal like that
tf is that price
if you wanna pay like at least 100% more for your board than it's truly worth, as well as have to install razer's awful software on your machine, then i guess so. personally, I would avoid - there are certain things razer makes that I have and actually love (i have one of their chairs, actually, and it's amazing. also have one of their game controllers and it's similarly good) but i would never buy one of their keyboards when there's a lot of better alternatives out there
What would be a similar keyboard?
which one were you wanting in particular? they come in a few sizes, so, did you want one that was full size, or the TKL?
also imho depends on what kind of budget you have and what features are important to you. a lot of the stuff advertised as 'gaming keyboards' are just marketing gimmicks that dont have any kind of effect on performance or are any better than what you'd have with most mechanical keyboards tbh
I have a 10 dollar keyboard which might be compatible with outemu switches
that's the best I could ever ask for tbh
its not for me, someone was asking what switches were in a 2nd hand drop board they got
Click at your own sake š¤¢
get a vac and clean it
Too late i already manually cleaned it with a brush and qtips w/ alcohol
Now all i have left is keys
Does anyone know what switches this pcb is compatible with?
I really hope it isn't just a weird oem
you should replace that with a realforce
real
what's that
Would lithium grease work as switch lube?
a better keyboard
depends, what works for switch lube is more of a viscosity rather than blend
but before you do that, how do you plan on opening your switches, do one right now....see if its worth it to go down this redneck gamer rabbit hole
it should only take you a switch or two manually opening them to be like "nope" and find https://www.amazon.com/RUNJRX-Keyboard-Switch-JRX-205-Tweezers/dp/B0B1TTL37N/ref=sr_1_3?crid=334542KM8JHCX&keywords=keyboard+lube+kit&qid=1708271041&sprefix=keyboard+lube+ki%2Caps%2C243&sr=8-3 this worth $16
Oh I was just curious as to if it would work. Also can Razer yellow switches be disassembled? They are soldered though. I'm just wondering for all this, I do have a soldering iron so that wouldn't be an issue.
as most lithium grease is sold, no
the composition itself? checks all the boxes.
outemu switches only
they have their own sockets
no
also bruh
why tf would you put holy pandas in a keyboard at that pricepoint
they are more than the entire keyboard at that point
Why? Do other components of the keyboard matter?
yes?
it is comparable to buying nice BBS rims for like 7k for your mid 90s civic shitbox
what do you recommend then
I really don't know any good outemu switches
nor do I want to lube them myself
@muted karma
what's the difference between the weikav and the final key record alice?
bobas might work
but still, pretty expensive switches
for a pretty subpar board
How bad could it be?

Mechanical keyboard
Its not upsidedown
