Bruh I bought it $80 off of Amazon 💀
yea not worth it then
It’s cheaper than the razer alternatives tho
And it’s probably the best gaming mouse I’ve ever owned
so cheaper than the better alternatives
like it should be
Having a razer mouse isn’t really gonna effect me
?
Like I’m gonna have the same experience on both mice
Eh
I like this one
I just got it today tho
So it might change
@muted karma by far the lightest mouse I’ve owned
So like
lightness is not everything
and also not especially light by current standards
especially for a mouse with holes in the shell
Damn
the viper v2 pro is a full 10g less
with a full shell
the sora is 20g less even
but even then
shape > balance > weight
The keyboard and mouse you use is just what you like and what’s available
I have been looking deeper into mice for quite a while now
there is a lot more objectivity in mice than you would expect
Ah
there is a good reason why most mice are just iterations of the same 4 shapes
like legit 80% or more of modern gaming mice are just variations of 4 shapes
So imma get my first mechanical, are there tangible differences between keychron q1 and keychron k2? They look pretty identical but the prices say otherwise lol
hey guys does anyone knows what switch brand does the CoolerMaster CK530V2 use for the red switch?
gateron
but really, any mx footprint switch would work just fine
the Q1 has a case made from 2 pieces of alu, hotswap switches, a (good) open source firmware, better keycaps, smoother switches
first one obv biggest contributor to the price
different mounting style but that is hard to explain without experiencing it
can anyone give any recommendations on a decent linear keyboard thats $60 or under if there is any
I need a cinamaroll keyboard under like 80-100$ usd. Any suggestions
â ãRGB Backlit ã: 16.8 Million Color combinations , multiple backlit mode ( Aurora, Ripple, Music, Rainbow , Waves, Gradient, Windmill, Spectrum and single light), no drivers needed. Plug & Play small form factor keyboard â ãGateron Optical Switches ãGateron optical switches can be hots...
Any gk61 would be good or even an sk61
I had an sk61 but gave it to my friend
i agree
I need a good full sized mechanical keyboard, so far I have come across the IQUNIX F97 Dark Side Wireless Mechanical Keyboard and the Glorious Modular Mechanical Keyboard 2. If any has good suggestions I would appreciate it, thank you
I use a Microsoft 850 keyboard
Keychron V/Q6
Lmao
Thank, I’ll look into it
You personally own one?
nah but i've worked with them
what'd you need?
Realforce
Too poor for either 😔
bruhhhh
Bought a nos jp pingmaster and need parts for nas
words
I just want a gaming keyboard that is a RGB full sized mechanical keyboard like I said, I don’t mind what price as long as the price isn’t ridiculous
making up words
ye both should be it then, the latency is a bit higher compared to other gaming boards but it’s negligible
i found a plate printing service and they can print a pom full plate for my harboor :)
but i have to resolder everything and i hate soldering :(
Bought a New Old Stock 6112883 and need parts for a Network Attached Storage 🤓
errrrm it’s called a google drive
I ain’t paying for 30tb of google drive that can’t run a plex/roon/OpenVPN/qbittorrent server
You mean the two keyboards that I already mentioned
this you rn bro
😭
Iquinix is kinda meh and glorious is avoid at all costs
Mfw don’t have parent’s money to throw at things
qbittorent? isnt that the pirate thing, are you a pirate? thats illegal
I’m not using it for that ackshually 🤓
educational purposes my asssssss
Damn, I’ve been lied to by YouTube reviews. I’ve heard that I should also avoid big brands like Razer or Steel Series. I mean what’s your current daily driver or any other suggestions along with your daily driver is welcome
Realforce 87u 55g the goat frfr
beware the topre pipeline
The least evil of the pipelines
imagine buying cases for the same board… haha!!
Norbauer buyers 💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀
Overpriced and overrated I agree
using a 周80 rn, don't really have any recommendations because there's not a lot of (good) full size options other than keychron, the rest are either variations or too expensive
So basically, go with Keychron?
Paying extra for aesthetics copium be like
After you do answer my other question another question, where tf do I find the 周80
so topre housings:
Atleast you get a metal housing
for sake of accessibility/price, yes
also the board I use isn’t a full-size
tkl, no numpad
86u buyers really be paying extra for one less key to turn into wkl
💀
I know, I just interested in looking at it
idk 💀
here’s one of the original information pages
If you don’t know how you even get it, you just randomly find it in a dumpster in an Asian country
but other than that not really much info on it
I bought it on used China market
Kekboard what else
I feel like that’s the equivalent to looking through a Asian dumpster, could be wrong tho
That doesn’t sound good buddy

What doesn’t
I’m sorry, I didn’t mean it in a bad way
nah you chill
I got no idea what this board is either
just sounds and feels good to me so I don’t care enough to find out
You like found a good donut that was still fresh in the dumpster?
Chinese market dumpster 😭
Yes
found a keyboard meetup near me gonna go in august
What is a keyboard meetup
you meet then look at keyboards
I see
Ayo
is the lego keyboard any good?
yeah it’s alright
wild
im not australian citizen so it wouldnt even matter anyway :D
i liked gold coast better
its right next to brisbrane
its pretty much LA but australian
or miami
something like that
EWWWWW
if it’s LA where is the suburbs
somewhere
heyo
i have an idea : single mcu, split 30 key
same PCB for both halves, so it's got lower moq
split with 1 mcu over Ethernet cable instead of 2 mcu over trrs
RJ45 only has 8 connectors
so you get a 4x4 matrix at max
aka 16 switches
you could use something like hdmi
or ig usbc?
also an rp2040 mcu is under 2 bucks
xiao has 11 pins
yea said at max
ye
square is the highest possible switch count
yea ik
but if you start using weird connectos alternate controller might be cheaper
just don't use 32u4s

i think it's funny to one mcu with matrix over Ethernet
so only 30 buttons avail anyways
3x5 is perfect
plus switch plate , base plate and pcb can all be the same for both halves
moq 2.5, initially costing 3x the cost of making the small 100mm x 100mm pcbs
6 dollars for a pcb and case plates
skeleton
or 4 if you're really stingy
baby cost
all other costs scale with key amount and are unavoidable
also is cute
symmetrical, pain 27 vibes
i mean ig i could make it 28
but that's weird pins
4+7
5 6 is just better though
I think I might get the ASUS Scope II keyboard, seems really nice
gas im bored
What
not you
gas i need a new keyboard
kmg tkl
no
what why
no kustoms
racist
only hkustoms
hk gaming sk61
awesome
gas
putting the uneven ends of the 100 to the middle makes it ortho
could make a better ortho 100
what the fuck
don’t have a keycap puller so I did what I could lol
ortho 100 that doesn't look like Tennessee
maybe they deserve to look like tenessee tho
What
that works too lol I did that before I got one or one came with my keyboards
How long has your mechanical keyboard lasted? I've had one for like 7 years now, and I wanna upgrade, but at the same time I wanna keep it since it has a lot of nostalgia within
I did a usb C mod to my keyboard since the attached cable broke
I accidentally cut the wires too short the first time 😎
Hopefully next time I know how to make a casing instead of using hot glue
But damn I am so happy to keep a good keyboard
I was told in another server the keychron K2 gateron brown switches r poo poo and I need cherry mx brown, what keyboard do I get then
what are the reasons for that statement?
This is the first thing i see in this channel what the fuck
I aint ever checking this channel again bro
just avoid brown switches in general unless you enjoy very little tactile feedback
almost linear
Still aint checking this channel bro
Ain’t nobody cares anyway bro
still better than people glorifying ABS keycaps and flexible keyboards as 'premium' features as the usual in this channel
clearly zero board knowledge
I can’t even do it with a key cap puller
wasn't even that weird smh
Use key cap remover to make button easier to click
It does
any suggestions on keycaps that i should buy? im going to build a keyboard with the yunzii ciy tester 68 and gateron g pro 2.0 switches red
Curious what keyboard you got?
The GMMK-BRN is a very simple-looking mechanical keyboard, with the keycaps floating above a plain metallic frame. The metallic frame has rounded corners and a chamfered edge that creates a chrome color effect. Nothing of particular interest, not even a company logo can be seen on the chassis of ...
oh I see
not bad board only deal breaker for me is north facing socket but that is dependent per person.
Wdym north facing socket?
north facing does have some interference issues with cherry profile keycaps which I have some sets sooo that has been an issue
but my keychron V1 is south facing so it's been fun just messing around with random sets
I want to get those purple ones
But so far my MT3 and ASA keycap set have no issue on north facing so ASA keycaps it is on my Epomaker mini cat 64 board lol
Cherry mx ... lol ...
I think that is just general hate for tactiles
imo cherry mx are not good for people that just want a board that is good ootb
gateron pros are a much better pick
since they come with good factory lubing etc
and I say that while personally building most boards I own with cherry mx
Cherry mx needs some work to feel good ... and for stock there's way better switches than Cherry mx
Cherry mx are a meme at that point ...
https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/TMN9fv
Keyboard and switches I chose before all this is here
Part List - AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D, Radeon RX 7900 XTX, Fractal Design Pop Air ATX Mid Tower
would not say so
I would
for the average user they just are a bad pick
if you are ready to put the time and effort into getting them nice they sound and feel different than all the other options
and a lot of people prefer their sound
I don't care about sound
So they are probably not worth the time and effort
For me
nope
Yall, I need to find heavy clicky switches for my keyboard, any recommendations I would like something heavier then a Cherry blue. I saw these Khalil Box pinks that were about right but i cant find them anymore in the uk
The heavier the better, and I like clicky
kailh box navy
Youtuber Review: kodabar Get your protein shake ready! Mechbox Super Springs are back, and now in packs of 100! These springs are a first production run in limited quantities. Please use these springs with caution. Suitable for Cherry MX Style switches only (Not Kailh style switches). Compatible with Tactile, Linear &
just like add these to some random cherry mx style clickiez
thank me later for having an unusable board
those GMMK keyboards are ultra shit
the TKL and 100% models
they have identical looking RGB software to a cheap redragon and lie about the polling rate in the specs
and have abnormally high input lag
and the tolerances on the cutouts in the switch plate are the worst i have seen
loose
maybe 2 split space would be better
what is THAAT dude
a mistake
the pain I went through convincing my friend not to get it. He was but I was like wait and that was on prime day
its worse than just getting something like a z15 for gaming in basically every way if you want a fullsize hotswap
not that many options for that
those go for about 40 dollars and atleast the switchplate wasnt shit and it did not lie about polling rate from what i could tell
PCB seemed like really low quality and the keycaps though
still better than anything from the GMMK TKL/100% lineup
and barebone kits
trash is like 80+ dollars for a barebone kit just for something that completely sucks
can get a cheaper keyboard that is better in almost every way and just replace all the keycaps and switches
on their own subreddit
one of their better models but that was caused by QMK settings
ironically he got that in the end
still shows their quality control
and also a keychron v1 barebones idk why but uhh yea lol
any keychron is better than any pile of shit from glorious
still worse than most other gaming keyboards in terms of absolute latency
Me and my friend both own the GMMK V1 full size keyboard. While playing a rhythm game we realized that the polling rate seemed off so we tried to investigate further. As far as we can tell using a keyboard inspector tool (https://github.com/mat1jaczyyy/Keyboard-Inspector/releases) our keyboards w...
it was literally so bad that when opening up their outdated shitty china software control that looked 90% identical to a redragon that i tried that the "polling rate" option was just some toggle
and ironically made it WORSE setting it to 1000hz
when testing with software like keyboardinspector
showed 8ms gaps in the keystrokes being received which only shows up if it has 125hz polling rate or scanrate
ended up packing it back in the box to return it after just installing a handful of switches and having them rattle around in the sockets and fly out when pulling adjacent ones out of the plate
under 3 hours of messing with the barebones kit
it had brightness values in steps and really bad RGB too
only saw it in one other keyboard that was 30 dollars at bestbuy
How do you take Razer keycaps off?
brightness slider would skip at each interval and could see obvious stepping
rip
https://epomaker.com/products/epomaker-mini-cat-64?variant=40191733334089 one of my 2 boards idk what the polling rate is on this one
60% Hot-Swappable Mechanical DIY Keyboard Kit Coming as an outstanding keyboard DIY kit, the Mini Cat 64 kit from EPOMAKER includes a variety of features that appeals to gamers and DIYers. The 60% layout remains all the essential keys while saving space for the mouse on your desktop, and hot-swappable sockets are conve
Wallet draining hobby jk I just enjoy it
lol yea
most of the boards I had were good just sold most of them in the end
you can probably set the polling rate to whatever you want since it can use custom firmware
no plans to sell the bongo cat keyboard or my V1 atm until I get my hands on a Q1 Champagne edition to compliment my noctua keycaps
but polling rate is not the worst issue with poorly designed keyboards unless it has other bad flaws
like high debounce time with a bad algorithm
what 😭
or not sending multiple keypresses at each polling interval
so if its 125hz it would have an 8ms gap between keypresses sent
and if its REALLY bad then it would also have a gap of 8ms between every single keypress
I see yea really no issues with this stacked acrylic keyboard minus yea pretty odvious the middle will bend a bit.
instead of clustering a few keypresses in the 8ms window when pressing multiple keys at once it will space each keypress out by 8ms
my clip in stabs came unlubbed so I lubbed them and did some snipping and flattened the metal stabs out
that is a "feature" because apparently some people like their keyboards being non rigid
"reduces finger fatigue"
i mean if you are getting bad finger fatigue just typing on a mechanical keyboard with anything other than 100g+ springs then you must have some kind of muscle atrophy
or you are slamming the keycaps to the bottom as hard as possible at every keystroke
lol
having the PCB and case flex is just shit build quality and poor design
I question if I do that but at the same time hey I just light spring in my aqua king v3s
i can understand gasket mount to an extent
but something is just offputting about pressing down a key hard and then seeing the keyboard bow into a U shape
Oh this epomaker stacked acrylic board had some pcb flex in the center being a screw in plate pcb but putting a piece of foam between the 2nd to last acrylic layer and pcb stopped that entirely
But it was stacked acrylic I knew what I was getting into paying 48$ for this
the case flexing is never ideal and just screams cheap build quality, PCB flexing is a 'premium' '''''feature''''' because it 'makes it sound better' and 'reduces finger fatigue' same for plate flexing
i would think if you want a premium feeling keyboard any give to it would be a gasket between the plate/pcb and the case itself
and nothing else would flex or deflect at all
why people buy stuff like metal cases
Should I get the Royal Kludge RK61 or Magegee portable 60
Lol this triggers me but I’ll find a way to get rid of the gap
yeah thats pretty bad
only section that I can see the bend
is there enough space there to put something like a bolt through it
to clamp the sheets together
drill a hole through the stack of acrylic carefully maybe
I might do that just need to find a screw long enough and try not to crack it
that is my main concern
yeah it cracks easily
especially thinner
safer option is to actually glue it but that can be ugly and messy
oh yea the layers get thinner as you move to the top
could probably do something like get a piece of metal strip and bend it into a C shape
and then place them along the edge by the spacebar
to clamp the layers together
piece of stiff steel with some pliers
or 3d print clamp things to an exact size if you have access to one
Designed my first pcb! I'm trying to make a folding low profile keyboard, cause I couldn't find one anywhere
folding?
oh neat
ive considered it
but i just decided to use smaller keyboards
also low profile feels funny
Mine is split wireless, but it has magnets so the two halves snap together like a folding one
Anyone know any cute mechanical light up keyboards that arnt to exspesnsibe
expensive*
Royal kludge 68
Since im broke and planning on making a pc I probably rather get a keyboard with no key caps and buy tbe
them*
You can check akko, they usually have some nice set
It's cheaper to buy something fully assembled
What brand would you guys choose for TKL between these:
Logitech
Corsair
Keychron
Glorious
Razer
SteelSeries
GSkill
if these are only options then keychron
if you can afford the gmmk pro then that one is fine
but i would just buy keychron and lube it for 1/2 of the price
glorious is shit
any of their keyboards
they are worse than corsair
and thats saying something
the glorious keyboards have 2x the latency of basically all wired keychron models and 4x the latency of any decent gaming keyboard
Forums » osu! » Help » Resolved Issues » [Archived] Huge keyboard input lag
its on par with a redragon which is pretty sad according to rtings but some people dont like their testing methodology
their 100%/TKL models atleast not the PRO
but the PRO had its own problems with abhorrent defaults like 125hz until they later improved it
most people solved by flashing with QMK and putting usable settings in their config
still worse than a random 50 dollar gaming keyboard from most brands
one of the top reviews on GMMK TKL on amazon
if people are noticing input lag when TYPING you know there is a problem
20+ms is longer than a frame at 60hz
no excuse for it being that bad
keycaps are already getting wear lol
quick question is the blackwidow v3 worth it to buy for gaming since the halo edition is only 69 euros right now?
definitely a keyboard
It looks pretty nice. But the only thing is that the keycap color dosent match 😭😭
kinda intentional tho 😛
got kinda tired of all black
which one should I get? redragon k616 or skyloong sk61
dont be mean gas clearly he tried
Thoughts abt this keyboard https://fluxkeyboard.com/?v=7516fd43adaa
Seems cool
h
quite obviously 2
;P
What's the idea of the innermost column here?
screaming
You want to try out having one less key in that column, but not confident you'll like it?
who needs 3 on the pinky, but inner id like 3, at least for games
What's the purpose of the overlapping footprints?
There's an overlapping one on the thumb also
Layout options?
Also it's reversible
So you can have one layout on one side and a different one on the other
thumb is 1 2u or 2 1u
Yeah for option
Having not symmetrical split keeb looks terrifying btw
how do you mean?
Like 1 key thumb cluster on one side and 3 on the other or smth
does anyone have any budget linear switches recommendation
gat yellow ks3
unsurprisingly i already have that for my alphanumeric lol
ASUS keyboards vs Razer keyboards
Hey I'm new to keyboards, could anybody give me good references (texts, blogs, videos, podcasts) to get into it? I'm looking for a comprehensive overview of types of keycaps, lubes, materials, etc starting from the basics all the way into the specifics. Feel free to ping or pm me!
not 100% comprehensive but it goes over some stuff you’ll need to learn
otherwise I would just say to hang around communities and ask questions and learn
what’s the budget?
faux-custom vs gamer boards
I mean aren’t custom keyboards bad for gaming tho
custom keyboards are only bad for gaming with bad firmware on the mcu
its usually not a priority for there to be good firmware or settings
qmk is the most popular and the best you can do is 1000hz with 1 key per report
they prioritize things like layering and macro functionality over performance
no RGB still too i think
best example of a "bad" custom for gaming would be running QMK with NKRO disabled and 125-250hz with 10ms debounce and non eager method
but that can be changed with like 10 lines in a config file to become 1000hz forced NKRO and eager debounce with a short window
which is as good or better than most cheap gaming keyboards
but as far as i know most if not all popular firmware for customs has chord splitting which can be an issue for some games
how do you fix chorded inputs?
Forums » osu! » Help » Resolved Issues » [Archived] Chord Splitting with QMK keyboard
at 1000hz it becomes 1ms between each key registered instead of 8ms at 125hz but its still stupid because i have seen 40 dollar gaming keyboards be capable of microseconds between keys registered
like 0.2ms between each key instead of 1ms when pressing all at the same time
kind of nitpicking but if you are spending that much time and money into something it just sucks that the issue has still not been resolved
its brought up in the QMK discord every few months
i tried building from one of those PRs a while ago with a durgod keyboard and it was sending multiple keypresses at once but it was still slower than a cheap gigabyte board
why i just gave up on it and bought a wooting for gaming
i dont really like linears for typing but its worth the sacrifice to have adjustable actuation distance and decent performance with no debounce/chatter issues
too bad no keyboard exists that has a toggleable tactility or something
I need some help trying to find a keyboard for gaming. I am trying to find a pink/white keyboard that is 65 or 60 size for under 250. Can anyone help?
Is the mx master 3s and the mx keys a good keyboard mouse combo for mac?
for that budget just get a wooting 60he and swap the keycaps and case with the colors you want
should be around 175 dollars if i remember correctly and have at worst 2-3 month wait
that model has support for swapping the case
How’s a Keychron low profile K series instead?
Though I assume not much benefit aside from a novel experience if you’re not into custom kbs/care about it
VIA and QMK is a boon though
Thank you very much i'll have a look <3
What keycap puller should I get for my Razer keyboard looking for suggestions preferably on Amazon
There was a flexible edition of the Butterstick that was never sold
Ping me if you have a suggestion
mostly because at that time, it was prohibitively expensive to have the pcbs manu'd, I think she told me it was over a hundred bucks to get 3 of them made
but the results worked
wire ones work fine
Wdym wire ones
the wires are flexible but "tuned" so want to close
so they are flexible enough to go "over" a keycap, but then close again
Ok
at which point you just pull upwards
Ok
just don't use those plastic ring keycap pullers that ship with a lot of boards, those can damage caps
Ok
what cap puller should i get to maximize cap damage
a hammer
ya
the 1 grit
hey guys i got a budget for 130 uk pounds for a tkl keyboard i want none of that numpads keys shit
what about numrow
remove as well
.
how many keys do you even want lol
dawh thats cute
smol
cute!
45% is best percent
have you not heard of the 1 grit before?
40s are wild
I didn’t even know this was a dankpods thing
but 1 grit is funny
what if there was a keyboard with little vibration motors under each switch for the illusion of tactility or something
could anyone suggest a cheap pcb for this plate ? best from Ali
apologize for the angle, my iphone is high
have you seen me Doug
wat
should work with any universal 60% pcb
where are you shipping to
ah
oh I have some planck style boards that were given to me
im working on a split
for chording?
Chording isn't great for any real use case
You don't only type on a keyboard
But you can type Linux commands, program things or simply use keyboards shortcuts
Whenever you do that chording is a pain to have around
However doing combos is cool
^C is a chord
Like if I press two specific keys at the same time (50ms delta) it can make a esc or a tab
It could even make some basic useful word
Combos are cool for keys like tab, esc, enter or whatever
Yes
Switch to another gaming layee
that sounds pain
Also look at homerow mods
This shit is LIT
Single best feature in the whole word
You toggle a gaming layer when launching a game
I couldn't use a split keeb without combos and especially without homerow mods
Homerow mods are the only reason I use Linux
Yes it makes no sense and yes it is still true
why
im still gonna do some chorded stuff for the fun of it
in case i
lose an arm
or something
or decide that i need a keyboard when texting
real use case: one arm
rsi
idk its not like you need to do everything from just keyboard, you can use a mouse at the same time if typing only takes one hand
Well I have rsi because I have a genetical disease that makes every joint in my body not working lmao
I can have my shoulder dislocated if I lift a bottle of water and do not contract the muscle FULLY to "block" the articulation
Same for fingers, but there is no muscle around the articulations to protect them from going on vacation
And I almost don't use a mouse anymore
No need to find ways to integrate mouse/pointing with your split keeb if you just don't try to point at things anymore
true
what i mean is "real" use cases arent just "do everything" because if it did, something like going mouseless wouldnt be great for most "real" use cases
also steno is chorded, is live transcription not real?
noticably tactile, while being an overall light and as silent as possible switch reccs?
I almost don't use my mouse
Like 3min every hour at most and that's a stretch
k
Ya it looked kinda like.a.chording board
Like the Georgi
more orthopain
ergonomics is not part of the design
also did you mean the pain27?
oops right the spacebar
we should have branches of the pain27, the ergopain, orthopain, alicepain...
some split keebs have trackballs
@cunning anvil chording is mostly used for steno afaik
ye
and not all of them have just 12 keys
i kinda wanted to learn steno but just never got around to it lol
steno seems not useful to me
by which i mean its not useful to me specifically
not that it seems useless as a whole
for speed rather than comfort
and speed is not useful to me
how to clean keyboard?
soap and bleach
remove keycaps put them in soapy water, brush out all the crap between switches, dry caps, put it back on, done
done
eu
, im just afraid because it's not the 4 keys next to spacebar one
it's a plate type B
Pretty
looks really nice like the colour choice
rk87 😍
milky yellows
you mean qk80 lol
what are those terrible keycaps 🤢
pluck them off and eat them like candies
why does it look like a koreaboo knockoff laser 💀
it is (don’t tell no one)
just looks like dracula/monokai/etc style set with Hangul sublegend for kweeb
wtf is that
what happened to all outstanding projects completed by Q4 2022
I bought for the colours 🤓
didn't think about that
nice one smart guy
its ok i can just flip it to some kpop stan with too much money
can you sell me at cost
no
(shipped)
also no
so true
hell naw I ain’t importing everything hobby related
it ain't so bad if you paint your kits
its taken me like 4 months for one kit
and im still not done
💀
good value 👍
It was Q4 2023
Hooty just got to Prototypist btw
oh ok
i don't check often since the designer doesn't bother updating for shit
for hooty?
It’s just the pink and light grey that need to be matched iirc
ye
The base grey is 2B

For what the pink?
ye
need more pastel sets
I think awake was one of the least appealing sets ever for me
the neons look weird and the no text mods kill it so bad for me
I’m debating getting dcs windbreaker
ew
So good
Lol
but it’ll look good
just buy one color keep stockpiling kits of that color
Lol
I’m saving for boards
Buying type k and buying a kohaku off one of my friends
Luckily kohaku is months away
Oh type k ran?
Not yet
type k is so baller dude im on that
not yet
In like a month
Ah ok about time
I’m watching type k it’s prob best Gok design yet
better be
Lulzthax unboxed one on stream tonight
after the amount of protos
what is 1520
Bruh it censored 🐐 lmao
nuh uh
how can it be the goat
where da side print
if dcs soldark exists
on the nav
It’s not the right one so it’s void
Wdym
side legending on print and pause
Oh Ig we could add that
not sure how good gmk side pritns look actually
ye this is off like old POS right
nope
Old laptop
what the fart
I like the alt f row more but had to keep the grey for the inspiration
bruh
You don’t want to have more than 1 color in the bars kit
Nah with the white legend
ah, ok
The bars kit is prob being axed anyways
This is updated kitting

Yeah we added some other subs that are more modern
I didn’t do it lol
Hark is a 40s convert now you can’t expect him to know when to split shift
But yeah with the type k I think it’ll bang
Bc cost and that’s what was on the laptop

People using 6.25u don’t deserve the nice fn
But yeah pitching to a lead vendor I won’t name this week so hopefully that goes well
10/10 would pick up off nk if there were a sale
this image was so fuckin low quality i thought it was 8 bit art

Just make sure to change the switch after a few months because of the double clicking problem
After that is just smooth sailing
Or just get a mouse that works…

what a good 60% that sounds clacky or i could make sound clacky? budget is $130 for base/full build
Bakeneko 60 should be like 130 but shipping might put it over (it’s a kit btw)
Molly 60 is also a gb board for 100dollars
Does anyone know a good keyboard for around £70 with linear switches? I found an Rk61 with Blue switches for £40 so I was thinking I can probably replace the switches with linear switches but I’m not sure if there is a better option or not
Does anyone know how to remove the printed text? The Arabic font looks ugly
Could get a black marker and just colour it in ¯_(ツ)_/¯
Should I get the RK61 or Redragon K530?
Or Tecware Phantom
vaxee xe vs zygen?
I got this keyboard setup from a Kickstarter and I have never put a keyboard together before. What do I do with these
what material are they
Foam
That’s what it is. I see little indents where the PCB is supposed to rest, the same size as these.
coolio
Thank you

Can anyone recommend a decent keyboard with linear switches, preferably dedicated arrow keys and F row for around £70 that requires minimal (at most) modding
Is this one any good, I notice it only supports optical switches will that be an issue? https://www.amazon.co.uk/EPOMAKER-Gasket-like-Swappable-Programmable-Compatible/dp/B0BGX81N96/ref=asc_df_B0BGX81N96/?

what are some nice linear switches? i’m gonna build a keyboard since my razer huntsman mini broke and i’d love some recommendations!
Black
I think thats almost universally agreed upon here
I think yellows are good aswell
might be a dumb question too but in order for my rgb lights to go through the housings of the switches have to be clear right?
Yes
It will only take optical switches
Are optical switches better or worse
Ktt’s are solid, gat yellows are nice, most jwks sound good and are smooth
Okay, would you recommend optical yellows or blacks?
Depends if you like a heavier or lighter switch
Never had a mechanical keyboard before idk
Get yellows
Are the yellows quieter
Okay
Okay I have this keyboard together and it's all working but the RGB is so mfing bright. I think the PCB was Block Boy or Block Toy or something? How the hell do I dim this thing
It's all unmarked other than on the PCB and these ceramic keycaps are almost impossible to pull off of the switches
Blues are clicky (an audible click when you press down) reds are just a smooth press, browns have a bump when you press down
There’s no better switch, they’re just different
I think I can beat you in a blinding keyboard
Is it VIA enabled?
is this worth it heard how it sounds from different people but they all sound the different i dont want to mod a keyboard or anything idk what im doing and i am a lazy individual if i am honest so can anyone let me know on this or a nice sounding keyboard that isnt overly expensive i am from the UK too
hello there, I'm looking for a new keyboard, one that has an adjustable actuation point, because I always accidentally hit my Space bar (jump) due to my crouch key bind
I heard about the Wooting60HE, and the steelseries apex pro, but I would like to know if there are other options, more appealing, maybe with more actuation point 🤔
also if there is a wooting60He/ steelseries apex pro owner, I would like to ask could you replace one switch with a longer actuation point, I would like to know if it would be working 🤔
been considering the wooting, based on what ive seen you can't swap out the switch/or there is little reason to since you can just adjust individual key actuation points
understandable, thank you, at a 4mm actuation point, would accidentally hitting the key not press the key?
I accidentally hit it and it jumps, but it's not pressed all the way in as when I intentionally press my space bar
4mm actuation point is literally the lowest a switch can go
You would have to press it all the way down to get an actuation
Standard actuation for switch is like 2mm
imo a solution to your problem of accidentally hitting a key you can always just switch certain keys with heavier switches
like switch your spacebar to a gateron black or something
that is if you have a hotswap keyboard, if you have a soldered one then i guess you'll have to learn some soldering to swap some switches
whats the cheapest barebones for tkl
what is better the apex pro tkl or the wooting 60he
tech wise wooting
I am looking at adding a 2.4ghz wireless connection with a dongle to a keyboard that only has bluetooth. Any ideas?
i am looking at turning into a cat boy. any ideas?
i heard estrogen works wonders
psyop
My electric keyboard is out of tune, does anyone know how to tune an electric piano
In you guys's opinions, is the halo75 worth it?
Drop shipping keyboards are all ass
yeah
I set my windows key to 4mm bottomed out
Have never accidentally hit it since then
Wooting lightyears better firmware than apex
Yes
thank you for your feedback about it, it's really helpful!
HI GASTRAIL
alr bro
What did I do
inside voices 🤫
WHAT DID I DO
any sites you would recommend?
anyone recommend a prebuilt 65% or TKL keyboard for maximum of £150 that sounds aesthetically pleasing and has a nice feel?
Keychron v2/3
why does this sound so satire
i think you mean sarcasm since satire means something else

I'm going back to modding keyboards again, I've recently bought this in an auction (CK61)
the only thing I hate about it is that it's a soldered in switches
I did manage to get some of these keycaps
How about royal kludge rk84?
already got an rk61
might get a magic force 68 and mod it again
Its sucks without mods?
not really
it's decent but I like doing foam mod + tape mod on it
to improve the sound
- my plate mod too
So i broke and decided to try and piece together a second hand Custom Board, Found a K10 barebones for $35, and some cherry browns on hardwareswap, any advise or recommendations?
use that 5 of that 35 dollars for a bus ride to the local job center
any suggestions for a 108 key hotswap board + case? I have my switches and caps picked out, got burned by an Aliexpress 'hot swap' board
daily keyboard
its in quite good condition for a old wireless ps/2 keyboard
and types nice for a membraine keyboard
ive used a lot of membraine keyboards but this has got to be one of my favorite
its not like the stereotypical mushy crap it feels more nice to type on
i just use it when im sick of typing on my corsair mechanical keyboard
its technically e waste now because its so old and ps/2 but i think its cool
broke as in finally gave in. I just spent 2k on my first Build, didn’t want to go head first into a $300 keyboard rn lmao
i never buy expensive keyboards i like using random ones i find on ebay from before 2005
its fun
still yet to find a keyboard that uses any kind of serial connector (excluding USB)
Wireless keyboard and mouse recommendations under 60 dollars?
$60 for both or each?
