Well I found some on lethal gaming ... shipping is shity
what mount should i pick for something with a clicky encoder
im happy with it stock just wondering if i can do anything later
Personally I'd get custom keycaps, they can definitely improve the look and sometimes the sound and feel of a board
gas gas gas
whatās up
katana 100
also what mount you think would be stable for a board with clicky encoder
gasket
sealant?
okay just looked it up, is there a plate type hole that supports the encoder? worried about clicking the encoder and the plate just dies or something
or pcb
might just stuff a buncha foam under the encoder slot or something
no to all that
Lmfao
@boreal rivet
https://m.aliexpress.com/item/1005005497072554.html?
Does those seems legit ?
Do you know what are the differences between white dots and yellow dots besides the rated click numbers?
trying to think whats missing on my katanalike 40 before i get it made
updated holes, i wonder if that bottom row is gonna flex that badly
also top row ig
Seems legit but the storefront is fairly new. I wasnāt even aware they made a yellow dot version though, usually with huano different dots means different feel along with different durability ratings
ok thanx for the info
loh
i made stoneheadge
idk how you spell it
stonehenge
the wawa
oh mx can you answer something for me
is the one on the right grey or black
WHAT
two people have said it's black
arguing with @-Astro-#7162 over this
what did he leave
Itās not black if a little bit of light shining on it makes it grey bruh
You know what I mean right
real
i hate you so much astro
if it's not invisible it's not black
ah hell nah
So I got a keyboard with low profile GTMX switches and it's actually pretty nice, some people online were saying that some of the switches had an inconsistent feel but I must have gotten a good unit because it feels damn near perfect to me, or about as perfect as you can get for $60
not you too loh come o\ne man
*$50
I'm just cheesing
I think i need to learn color theory
i swear it's blac
black
if it doesn't absorb all known wavelengths is it really black
grrr
I donāt know jack about color theory lol
yeah i wasn't assuming you did i need to learn though
But such a small amount of light on black ano shouldnāt make it look like grey
does it atleast look nice, i had to readjust the bottom boards a ton so they weren't floating nor clipping into top one
crazy hating
The lighting is kinda scuffed and the top board looks really off
peenk
PINK!!
pretty
this one was also cute, but off center
is it worth getting WS aurora stabs or WS stabs v3 (tpu)
hey i'm thinking of getting some replacement switches for my keyboard since its really sensitive, and i accidentally click a lot of the wrong buttons, any suggestions?
pick something with 60+g springs
Sad day it is
the
Im trying to decide between the logitech G pro blue tacktile and Hyper X Aqua switches any preferences?
If I lube Novel creams oob will they be smooth or scratchy?
Does anyone know of a mechanical keyboard with a white backlight (or an RGB that can be set to white) that is not super loud
Keychron V4/Q4
i honestly dont see whats so hype about older thinkpad keyboards compared to newer
man getting used to colemak is ... interesting. after a couple days on keybr its interesting how it feels to hit 20wpm with just learning the 1st 6 characters. trying to type a full sentence i feel like a slug trying to type.
Theyre the peak of laptop keyboards
and i don't get why
I do, they're the reason why I keep using a thinkpad over other models for my laptops
they just feel great
cool
Can I ask here advice about Controller?
they donāt make āem like they used to or something
Iāve just been doing shit in fusion
design case
nah i wanna make sure i dont hate the layout first
yeah i just wonder if theres anything to do with it first
whatās the most recent revision
mostly hole placement
darn it
i might make a qaz or van compatible board eventually
but rn im focusing on layout
qaz, van, or doug/katanalike40
I already told you it was doug :/
This invisibolt acrylic caseĀ designĀ is for our Minisub PCB (Available Below) as well as other Minivan PCBs, and is compatible with all minivan layout builds due to being gasket plate mounted.Ā The case usesĀ a plate designed specifically for this case. If you have already assembled a plate with your PCB you will need to
minivan form factor
qaz is 10.75u
wont fit doug, but i might try it for something else
How do you use an analog keyboard for tac fps games? Set wasd to low actuation distance and immediately stop when rebounce is detected?
basically yea
So it basically just eliminates pre travel? I thought pros use them differently
well
kinda? like for me im not good enough to need that instant reaction time on my keyboard
if you need super light and short actuation you can save some money by going with speed switches from whatever brand you like
but you dont get the instant rebound that you can get with analog
but ima keep it real with you man, unless you are a top 1% of the top 1% of FPS gamers you wont really notice the difference between a linear and a speed type switch activation other than weight
Okay so I had a dumb thought
What if I 'lube' my keyboard with Singer machine oil
uhhh
(I just add it directly on the stem)
is that a liquid lube?
I mean yeah, it's meant for sewing machines
then id advise staying away from that
two reasons:
- it may not stick to the parts of the switch very well, meaning it will drip down and out of the switch over time
- if you are not 100% sure its not electrically conductive you can potentially cause shorting of the board, or cause weird issues with the switches behavior when typing, things like sustained key presses, ghost presses, undetected presses, things like that
plus the sound of lubed switches when you use something like krytox 205g0 is amazing
Ohh I see I see
its tedious to brush it on each switch, but trust me, its VERY much worth it
Well thankfully I did it on a cheap mechanical keyboard
Unfortunately it's the only keyboard I have
you can build a pretty cheap mechanical keyboard, or find one from a company like reddragon i think it is and toy around with that sorta stuff
I have problems with it.
Particular the part where I have to Sprint in Minecraft with double press on the w but it keeps putting me in and out of sprint so I just get this weird wobble effect on my fov
me about to make a case for pro micro fp keyboards without being ludicrously tall
It wasn't even a named brand keyboard.
It's like a 15 dollar mechanical hot swap keyboard
what layout do you use?
Wired, the RGB is static and it feels mostly cheap
Uhhhhh what's the one with the numbpad chopped on
you still have the arrow keys and the various like page up page down keys?
Yea
ok so you have a TKL layout
Ohh yeah the one with 6 buttons on top of the arrow keys
https://redragonshop.com/products/redragon-kumara-k552
this is normally 43 USD but its on sale for 38 USD rn
Tenkeyless compact mechanical gaming keyboard Redragon KUMARA k552 tkl small compact with dustproof mechanical switches Cherry MX red equivalent Linear switches quiet click sound fast action with minimal resistance without a tactile bump feel. Compatible with Windows 7,8,10, windows vista, or windows XP, limited mac os keyboard.
Oh I am just probably gonna get a royal kludge keyboard
oh yea, they are another good one
I want wireless because I am lazy and don't wanna reach out to my desk
although i do always recommend building your own board, its so satisfying and so worth the time and effort it takes to build them
My chair is slowly breaking and getting a new one is expensive
but it can be very expensive
Yeah I've heard.
But I at least have a physical option to
Theres this 'hobby' store where there's a section full of keyboard stuff.
And they sell packets of switches between 2-6 dollars per 10 switches
bruh
honestly, if you want to get into building keyboards youtube is your best friend
there are tons of good channels dedicated to keyboards, tons of information out there
Literally idk what all this means
Well it's not exclusively a keyboard store
i know but still
It's like.. a multi hobby store.
Imagine like your school lockers right
But each locker has a different hobby and stuff inside them and they are all for sale
That's what this store is. And I was looking at the keyboard locker
@glossy sandal have you made a case for something with a pro micro in it?
/elite-c/etc
They got lube as well
i mean, all those switches are good options, personally id go with the gateron milky yellows or the MX blacks
but there are hundreds of switches out there
Yeah and pretty inaccessible for me because I live in Asia
That's why I don't wanna try a group buy.
Wtf is taobao
group buys are only for the really dedicated keyboard nuts out there, they are expensive and you wait months or years to get your items
most keyboard shit infinitely cheaper there thanks to chineseā¢ļø price
No
I was answering you
because you asked which one I wanted to see
ive been making em lol
i might have an idea for you
check it
iv been trying to make a keyboard that looks like an old IBM model M, but iv found nothing out there, how hard would it be to make a PCB for an old model M case, or a reproduction of one
yea but i want like, modern switches, thats the buckle spring style
Votex has some nice vint looking shit
Wack
18-AprilĀ updated: The production is now progressing as planned and is expected to be completed by the end of April. 11-AprilĀ updated: We are pleased to report that production has started. However, we are currently awaiting the confirmed estimated time of arrival (ETA) from the factory. We sincerely appreciate your un
whatchu like about the model m? looks kinda bowed
Gas you shud hop in my dms
and do what
idk, i just like that retro look of it

Do not rp in the ltt keyboard channel
gas dyt its a bad idea to make a case for a pro micro style keyb
where the pm is exposed
No
bc apparently it adds a lotta height
I think thereās a fair bit of those
oo link?
Has there been mechanical keyboard that's as thin as a laptop one
Donāt all the sandwich fr4 kits expose the pm or am I tripping
There are low profile keebs
Pretty sure mechwild does that too
Because tbh the only thing I miss about the shitty office keyboards are how thin they are
they make low profile mechanical switches
wdym
Okay now another question. Is there a really silent switch for a keyboard
Yea no I feel like the acrylic layer would I hit any pcb movement
Like real quiet.
I know the appeal of mechanical is the sound and feel but like they are sometimes very loud
yes, there are silent switches out there that have a little rubber piece in the switch that prevents it from making much bottom out noise
I just want a keyboard thatās pink man
couple dollas
Wait no
Spray paint the Dell office keyboard and you are in the clear
Pink 456
honestly the 910 valentines was awesome
gas i have a rose gold case for technikable >:D
a what?
I like pink 910
The blush pink valentines one
even though itās me
Rose gold is like a pink but more on the silver and yellow side of the spectrum
40 ortho nvm
š©š©
Lmfao
honestly rose gold>pink any day
Even bro appreciate valentines
Mid take
Where are the smooth key caps
Ik that mf
oh
We both know you donāt have ce money
uhh
dude Iāve been so in love with rendering this board
send me a picture of the layout
I think I remember but how large is a pro micro, 2u?
Thatās lwk hot
I love it so
Iād make it my banner if it matched
girlie is sending me pictures of guns wharr
2u is pro micro?
why not make it gh60 compat?
5row :c
is it pm compat
oh wait Nevermind Iām stupid
I have seen people say that they use their keyboard as their mouse.
Why not make a pcb with diagonal keys
Omni directional keyboard.
what doews that even mean
So people have said that they use their keyboard as their mouse instead
Okay I ran out of brain thinking juixe and I forgot my thought so ignore me
mood
i think i can sqeeze a katana stagger 40 into an 11.75u
with that kinda pro micro placement
or should i make my case have pm on bottom left horizontal
or heck, maybe even round it to 12u
maybe i could bump it to 12.75 and let it additionally take minivan pcbs just in case
tfw slowly widening
That angle sucks for cables
ik it does :c
i have right angle adapters
those keychron k pro side usb-c ports suck
but just do it on the top
thas all I gotta say
now make it tkl
i dunno if i can make a tkl with 4x11u
putting the usb c on top
prob is with the symmetrical stagger the min width becomes 11.75
which isnt that bad
smaller than a planck
but at that point why not planck it
im tryna make some case form factor so i can do plates
and generally more standardized stuff between my own boards
are you writing your own firmware for your keyboards as well?
nice nice
If youāre doing plates why not do oring
pretty easy to do for plates with standoffs
oring like on the stems?
gasket mount?
gummy oring
lemme find the files
pcb/plate assembly friction fit in case
youād have to use dbs for your pcbs though
dbs?
theyre pin headers
hmm
but it would make the usb not on the same layer as the oring
but also sourcing an oring that size sounds annoying
i think you can just order whatever oring material in a longer strand
and ya can put the oring that works
at least thats how most gasket mount keyboards iv seen are shipped, with a single longer strand of oring material
idk if i actually like flex
i mean
oring is a lot less flexier than youād expect
it also depends on the specific rubber you use and the plate type
stiffer than most silicone/poron strip implementations
the super flexy keyboards you see have cutouts on the PCB that make it flex more
also yeah oring hardness and whatnot
and plate type
bc the main issue with PM board cases is height
maybe youād like to do top mount then?
pcb/plate screws into top case
not very flexy, pretty stiff
sandwich looked easiest to design
also keep in mind that the PCB design has a lot to do with how much flex there is
what about integrated plate?
would that mean itd be 3dp/milled?
yeppers
kinda down for stacked acryllic rn
layers of filament/something and one of the layers are the plate
3dp a plate every time i make a new design tho
then again idk if 3dp is more exp than an acrylic plate
listenin to da vocaloid
do you have a CNC router or laser cutter?
nop
p3d has some quotes for plates of materials
pretty sure acrylic is one of them
send cut send, jlcpcb (I think?)
ye i was gonna go ponoko for case and p3d for plate
ponoko?
I spilled coffee on my keyboard. I hate mosquito... idiot went for my ear when I was drinking coffee -_-
for acrylic cutting
couple dollas
so like uhmwpe?
uhmwpe is bulletproof??
yes
what
You gonna use that as a shield or something?
yes
Hi I had an intrusive thought
š
is your phone fixed now
Uhmwpe pretty cheap
get a block of it and get it cut
i was gonna ask for the number of the girl working there bc she was really pretty
tru
and she wasnt there
break your phone again
real
frfr i think i might just do the side usb and just buy more right angle adapters
i dont wanna go over 11u
or go really nutty and build in an aviator connector right into the board š
im not standing here giving slots away smh
not mine
you made it bruh
that is a small cat
Whatās the other one with the badge under nav
he gave me the render files
love tkl?
gas any other issues with this besides the awk usb port
did you wanna watch the uhhh
later today right
wait which one are you doing
i need to head off to central
its the case i wanna make rn
5am???????
so it just needs to be standardish
is it super complicated?
goddamn math has never been this hard
i have an hour free rn if ur design is simple and yk exactly what you want u can use gas' slot
its a stacked acrylic 4x11u case i wanted to have fit my prototypes bc standoffed pcbs look sad
dude I literally canāt count
also its fine i got fusion working
i wanna do it myself rn
bc idk what i want exactly yet
stack acrylic is not halal mode
a what
is halal good or bad
omg you havenāt been paying attention to the show
OIH THE MATH
PRIDE MAKETH MATH
The Pride is the name of the academy
yes yes i know
idiot stupid rubbish
i wonder if tray mount would make it easier or harder to proto
its easier in terms of design
instead of layers of stacked acrylic
would i need stacks for the walls?
hey loh what far would 5pm be if itās 9am now
8 houtsd
Iāve been thinking about this for the last 4 minutes
wait Nevermind I said 12 hours
tho tray would limit where parts can go
wait are they a pcb designer

i need a pcb for the nrl since my original guy just didnt do anything
rugby and badminton
the national rugby league
Any annual badminton championship fans
no no the camo thingy i showed you the other day
copper bottom
the dazzle bord?
yes sir
no way youāre actually planning to make that
itās so expensive
atleast make the bottom like alu

(also my skill ends at pro micro based boards, did not pay attention to integrated mcu part of the guide i learned from
nah i got schmoners its alright
I need to learn pcbs so I can make a g80 board
in dire need of a nicety alu g80
tbh itāll probably sound like shit
what the
LMAO
currently thinking of making it like this or someshit
im not using gas's slot btw
i wanna do it myslef
oh yea no worries
where tf did i put my pen nibs
Can anyone help me with this Sony keyboard?
I try to push the Shift key, but no effect.
looks like a membrane, so likely the PCB at the bottom is dirty or corroded and doesn't register
would need to take apart the keyboard completely to try to fix that
idk how tall a pro micro is lol
id assume its the height of the USB port plus a little extra
unless you need like exact measurements
how tall itd be after its mounted on my pcb, plus theres variance because different mounted styles for different boards
couldāve sworn thereās a cad file for pms
i found a cad file of the pro micro i think?
I've only found wooting and Razer huntsman v2 are analog keyboards, are there more from other brands?
Steelseries (I think?)
yes steelseries has one
Hephboard, uhh..
i dont remember what its called
some other stuff I forgot what
hephboard had the hera-h1
I have no idea where it is now
analog boards are not very popular because most people dont wanna pay the price to get one lol
?
MX is just easy to make money off of, thereās no wide implementations not nor really need for analog switches so they arenāt popular
I remember getting my first "gaming" keyboard
It was a Corsair K55 (membrane board) and I thought I was hot shit at the time
I don't even know why they still make it, you can literally do better for cheaper
Probably because there are dumbasses like I was when I got it, I was like 16 and didn't know any better
Now I want backlighting for the utility but I don't care about it being RGB
It's nice but not explicitly necessary
wondering if i even care about the splittable
it was just kinda neat when i was using splits
but i really dont care i think
might not fab the splittable katanalike
can anyone recommend some good split wrist rests for a split keeb? i have a sofle choc and my old school gel wrist wrest isnt cutting it.
dismantle it. lean non plastic parts with 97% rubbing alcohol, plastic parts with warm water and a cloth. let dry.
check all the switches and open up any that may have got any liquid in them, re-lube as needed.
wait a bit. check all the switches for any that are sticky or stick at all, then clean those if any
Yeah electronics are surprisingly resilient if you don't leave them powered on while wet
yea main thing is stickieness of switch parts because of sugars
I found out at my job at a hospital that they make membrane boards that are specifically designed to be washable
I don't think that would be worth it for me but it's interesting nonetheless. If they are throwing out the old ones maybe I'll see if I can snag one but it's not worth paying for.
Anyone got a good cheap wireless Controller?
Or good wireless key Board for gaming but cheap
how cheap
The cheapest as long its decent and whit a dongle included if possible
Heck yeah i aint making my own Controller or keyboard if il cheaping out
So you got good one?
@glossy sandal
I kinda need a max budget
Uh under 70 around 40 if possible
got it ig
š
Uh so '
Lol
So...? Sorry for being annoying
What size?
I got big but skinny Hand so big
Idk i use 60 on m'y keyboard
alright
So?
Use code āMAYDAYā for 15% off
whats the difference between holy pandas and holy panda X
the X is for Xtreme (tactility)
Cool!
Whereās the best place to buy keyboard kits from ? Iāve been looking at attempting to building my own š
honestly most keyboard kits are just fine, id say you should do your homework, find reviews, decide what you want as far as layout, switches, features, things like that. my personal favorite kit was the kbdcraft kit adam because its a lego board and i loved lego as a kid, but thats just me personally
Nostalgia aye? I got a hard key keyboard coz it's the first type of keyboard I used. Feels nostalgic
absolutely, and it sounds pretty damn good as well
sound test of my personal one
Will be excited to see when LTT review this keyboard.
why not
probably refers to the keyboard testing machine anyway though
their testing methodology is flawed or something iirc
"or something iirc"
from what I've seen and can tell so far, the main point of labs is to generate more content and not put out accurate and useful data
from what I've seen, it's to do both
coolz
if you're going to undermine someone's efforts, you may as well back it up with something too
some from private servers and others I cba sorry
It's a slimline low profile keyboard and I haven't seen one like this from Keychrom yet. To me it would be good to see how it holds up in the market compared to the others like that funky small logitech keyboard that it's mostly trying to compete with.
That's why I said above I would be interested in seeing them review this keyboard especially since there is no review for this currently on YouTube only the K8 Pro which isn't anything like this one.
This logitech keyboard I am referencing.
that doesn't even use lowpros
and what do you mean holds up bruh, unless you're a enthusiast there is really nothing much to talk about when it comes to keyboards at this tier other than like build and software
no worries, I just disregard any such statements, without anything to back them up š
Whats the point in brands competing if there was nothing but just a keyboard? I generally want to know how this "holds up" in the space that it's competing in since its something new from Keychrom.
U may disagree but I just want to see a review on this and currently there is none because it was just released.
Understandable š¤·āāļø
the point is the better marketing wins, and having a product in the segment in question means they make money
to get market share in the specific "space" and make money duh
some people will buy a product over another simply because they like one brand over the other
also it seems you don't even know what you yourself meant by "holds up"
choc and mx hotswap :D
whats the point of watching a review if you don't even know what you're looking for
are you just looking for someone to tell you which one is better and that you should buy that one?
Because I can tell you without a doubt the keychron is a better product
vouch for Keychron, they have some very nice bang for the buck keyboards
and at least for now (and hopefully the future too) do they focus on quality keyboards that are still affordable
they will because thats their niche
OnePlus had that too with their phones, but here we are
average flagship phones at the same high prices
lamou
keyboards will never be as big as phones and the community holds far more influence in keyboards
for better or worse
Whatās up mx!!
certainly hope you're right!
what up gas!! I'm doing math
calculus
šØ
real
gdi i just realized this footprint doesnt have an easy to export layer for making a plate
unlucky
person hoping for a video with plouffe telling them to buy the k9 pro

honestly kinda tired of keychron, glad itās becoming less and less of an option

im in the market for a new keyboard as mine recently broke. I'm wanting something mechanical, wired (dont wanna have to deal with bluetooth stuff), and about the size of a laptop keyboard. does anyone have any good recommendations?

Can someone recommend a cheap keyboard on here thatās decent quality with tactile switches that are a bit louder? (Someone in a different channel asking for it) https://www.startech.com.bd/
Star Tech is the Best Laptop, Computer, Gaming PC, Component, Accessories, and Gadget retail & Online shop in Bangladesh. Star Tech offers the Latest Tech products with the most competitive price in BD.

@sand pagoda how good is the razor viper mini?
i like tha fact that it can integrate with genshin
are you getting it just for the integration
i mean
it is a razor product so it is premium
how is it as a mouse?
is this good?
LOL
i said something wrong didn't i
Viper mini is good for the super cheap price but in general razer is FAR from premium
so viper mini is good but not premium
Yes
Razer does have one actually premium product
Viper mini se, but it costs almost 300 bucks
how is this?

I'm looking at building my first keyboard after finally being sick of dealing with Razer and I'm working out what I like and don't like. Right now I'm working on narrowing down which switches I want and I'm hoping that somebody can help me track down what would be in a particular keyboard in one of the Floatplane Exclusive videos. At about 6:36 of "What's In Your PC?" (https://www.floatplane.com/post/Z77L5WAnPU) Sven shows off his new keyboard and I am in love with the sound. Does anybody have any idea as to what his build would be using because I think that is what I will want to go with is a 75% board with those switches.
gateron blue switches
right.
stop lying to this poor man
itd probably be a little more useful to find your preference with this https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLvHVImt3J50UcWtW99Fz49wt3Pot6HUx5
but just so you know soundtests are subjective and can change depending on your board
so take the sounds with grains of salt
but these are better since it actually tells you what board and switch it is
super funny
had a nightmare my favorite bord fell apart like legos and i sold the case for like 400usd
thanks all for the help
i have a tech design project that involves photography
i want to take a picture with the board but idk when it will arrive :////
and deadline is like end of this month.....

sounds like foam

Hey am going for a full redragon setup cuz why not was wondering whatās the best redragon 60%-65% machanical keyboard?
can someone recommend a 98 usd (1200 inr)RGB keyboard with breathing cycle in amazon.in?
how do i know if my keyboard is hotswappable
It's usually advertised on the product page when it's hotswap
what keyboard do you have?
the only ASMR playlist worth listening to
it will tell you on the product page, every keyboard manufacturer wants to advertise hot swap to try and appeal to the enthusiest market, if you got it from a friend with no packaging you could look up the company, it will usually say somewhere on the keyboard along with the specific model, if you dont have a specific model wrote on the board you can just look for a similar looking board on the companies site and check the product information that way to see if its hotswap
hope that helps ā¤ļø
gl with building (:
1986 IBM 5291/5292 Display Station Keyboard (Model F terminal keyboard). Capacitive buckling spring switches.
Aka, "the bigfoot" due to this lol
it looks good but does it sound good
Depends if you're into clicky switches I guess. Buckling springs are pretty unique. If you've ever tried or heard a Model M, imagine that but bit higher pitch.
what length of springs would be more recommended for 45g
i guess short or medium would be most consistent ratio right longer would be too light on top for 45g i guess
i love the stepped caps, i bet theyre awful
I love it so much !!!
Should I get the Epomaker TH80 or EP84
does it matter if i get a different base of gk61 are they all the same?
like theres punkston and stuff like that
I think maybe something with return issues
Possibly
Hi all
can anyone recommend a keyboard
need a decent gaming mechanical keyboard
will be travelling a lot
so size is a factor
and weight
but it's going in a suitcase so
any of these pique your interest?
how do i tell if i can hotswap a key with diff one

Itās not
do you recommend keychron?
Nozemi do you recommend Keychron?
any recommendations?
why?
I do, got 2 Q3s and 1 Q1 Pro ^^ haev a K6 somewhere too iirc
but it does depend what you're after too though
For your budget, not really
Iād just suggest saving up
or buy a cheap office board until you can buy something decent
š
I think I'm gonna get a v2
65%
this
^^
adapter cables?
like what's used to power it?
can't you just substitute it out for any USB-C?
For your use case just buy a hhkb
do it
Google it
any tips with zmk for users who switch between windows and mac (for work) in regards to macros/helpers? Such as adding custom keycode and assigning copy/paste/print screen to that and have the macro use the proper keycodes based on host os?
You're not a real keyboard enthusiast if you use Qwerty layout.
Dvorak is superior as an example.
are blue switches good
like their clacky sounds but should I switch them out for brown switches also
i just found out that vendors sell springs based on return force not actuation force
for example tx states return force while sprit states actuation force at least on vendors i checked
thinking if i should keep 58g ktt kang white springs or get some 50g tx springs
since i just ordered lube and i did not get springs
personally one of my favorite profile next to mt3
if you like rounder and sculpted keycaps you will probably like them but plastic is quite thin compared to other keycaps
if you have enough time to master it
otherwise it is not practical really unless it would be widely used
Ive not tried anything similar in shape to them yet
as long as they're OK to start off with, its fine
since I've already spent a decent amount on the keyboard and switches, dont wanna spend another 30, 40 or 130 on keycaps
wondering if i should put mounting holes in the pcb for caseless prototyping, or just not and hope that the case and pcb just work
After taking my G915 apart because my cat vomited on it i realized how horrible this thing is to replace switches and stuff and just to deep clean, what is a good repair friendly wireless keyboard?
probably a hotswap that you can fully open up
Yes, but which one is good bang for buck?
Keychron v series
i feel you well keycaps are pretty expensive part compared to the rest
they feel nice they are more round and sculpted so they are really comfortable for fingertips
I'm back
Hi
what is better for slow curve or linear 15mm or 16mm tx springs
looking for similar to milky yellow springs but lighter but similar curve but probably 50g since if i understand correctly yellow springs are 60g for bottom out
is the steelseries apex pro with omnipoint 2.0 switches scratchy?
a friend of mine let me try his corsair K70 mini with cherry mx red switches and since the omnipoint switch also is a linear switch, i was wondering if it would also feel scratchy?
Not all linear switches feels scratchy ... you just happened to try one that is known to be like that
But I don't know how the omnipoint 2.0 are supposed to feel
i watched some videos on youtube about it and thay dont sound scratchy, just a smooth CLACC when they hit the bottom
time to buy more pro micros
maybe i should get more USB c magnetic adapters first though
Good linears shouldnt be scratchy
Those arent good so idk
1: is silicone grease viable keyboard lube, it has a similar consistency to vasoline
2: if you had to describe what kinda foam makes the biggest difference, which one is it. I mean it goes as wide as packing peanuts to that rock solid stuff you can rip a chunk out of and not get messy
3: Iāve got hella orings, that are just slightly too big to stay on.
4: I swear if you guys tell me to just buy the gamer branded <everything above> youāre hilarious
- No.
- Probably pe foam or case foam, dunno what kind they use for case mainly though.
- ok
- We are not gonna tell you to buy gamer branded shit when it comes to keyboards. Anyone that does can be escorted to the comedy club and they can tell their jokes there.
So to sum it up, get 205g0, get some PE foam.
@magic wolf
Much appreciated. I can make the orings fit around the key caps with a small amount of teflon. Viable? I have uhh. Been asked to make it quieter or get rid of it
Tbh o rings arenāt my fav mod as they get rid of the feel of mechanical
Oh
I see
If you need to
Sure
Do you think. Heavier keycaps be the play?
Why would it
Cause they, mm. How do I explain. Almost finished up
This keyboard they sound particularly louder on the return
Not the press
Linear switches
How should I pop the stems out of my HHKB 2? Isnāt there a special tool for it?
just push them out from the top
they come with nubs from the factory to keep them in place but don't do anything once assembled
Oh thank you I was wondering about that!
Okay this was just mad placebo.
Foam did the trick
What I was hearing was reverb
Any suggestions for a Budget Wireless Keyboard with a Multiple Device feature?
hey guys.... accidentally broke the up arrow on my MX Keys wireless something the non mechanical one.... does any one know where to buy there caps.... Logitech is playing Apple on me on this

im trying to get a good keyboard with black switches for 50 nzd is it possible?
Uh.. does anyone have an idea how to fix this?
pcb problem
yo is it okay to mod with vaseline one of my friends did it and it sounds so good
Hmm ye i think so
I had this for like 2 or 3 years idk if its suppose to break or it can live longer
No
It is not
That Vaseline will wear off and ruin the keyboard
oh dam?
isnt it only for specific keys
