still a pretty inflexible top mount
who needs flex
can feel nice if done right
idb for example
too bad nobody will ever own a non-scuffed idb
I agree with the earlier statement that a premium board shouldnt need any mods for it to sound good
hell the only thing i do to my boards when i build them is lube the stabilizers but thats basically it
oh yea absolutely
doesn't mean that mods are stupid
there can be more than one way for a board to sound good
still too flexy lol
its too flexy
for you maybe
you gotta be a psycho to actually think that amount of flex is good
why so agressive about it
if you don't hammer your keys or use like 150g springs it is fine
i remember the switch pins were hitting the bottom piece of the case at one point
I just dislike the flex meme alot
as long as it isn't whatever bs material and mount people are using for flex then i'm alright š¤·
sacrificing feel for sound lol
nah
then what is your problem
if its obviously flexy I don't want it
how is it obviously flexy
fr4
good joke
then show me the correct plate to use for this
the ones karolingian, hiney and snow sell are all FR4
they are not too flexy
because it is a pretty rigid top mount
just use an alu one
make it yourself lmao
would have to custom order
which costs multiple times of what 5 fr4 plates cost
lemme check how much I paid
42ā¬
half of that was shipping and taxes
hiney has the drawings available just send it to someone who can lasercut a piece
I made my own drawing lol
that also works
also hiney does not specify which caps works on his plates
I didn't want to use AT101 caps
if I wanted to I could have just used the snow stuff I already had
yeah I modified his files for the caps I got
i mean you made your own so its not a problem
with my own plate I can just use DCS and no scuffed alps stabs
uh yeah
vs alu I might have an ever so slightly softer bottom out
but it is alps
already the case
Hey guys, do you know any good 100% PCB? or should I just make my own?
I know this is super uncommon on custom keyboards, but I use the numpad a lot, as well as arrow keys, page up / down, delete, home, end. Thatās why I want a full size keyboard. And yes, thereās the 1800 standard, but I donāt like it
I don't know of a specific one, but I would expect it to be simple to find one
Or even one that is open source, so you can order the print yourself
not many fullsize customs around so might not be suuuuper easy
was one I could find quickly that is not in a G80 layout
Thank you very much. I didnāt think about the possibility of finding open source layouts lol.
Hey guys, what do you think of wooting 60HE? Is it any good? Are there any better "Rapid trigger"-ish keyboards (except apex)?
And is it even possible to build custom hall effect sensors switch keyboard?
First question, itās like the only keyboard thatāll actually improve your gaming performance assuming you take advantage of the .1mm actuation or whatever
second question, you can put the wooting pcb in a custom tray mount case assuming it uses standard mounting points so yes I guess?
you can also use whatever standard 60% layout keycaps so I guess you could turn it into a custom?
Yeah thx
I meant is it possible to use their switches in different PCB? (e.g. if I wanna make 75% or smth)
No
Ok thx for the answers
Maybe youād like the Hera H1
Or well the H1-Hera
It doesnāt use customizable actuation point but it does use Hall effect
That looks neat
I think it actually does
Oh, cool.
Havent caught up with it in a while
All I know they had some issues with the kickstarter
theyāve been resolved afaik but join their server I guess
But Im a bit confused how to buy it xD
kickstarter page sends to the indiegogo, but its not available any more on the indiegogo
join their discord server?
Can you send an invite pls?
Like I said I havenāt been caught up with the project in a year or so
Iāve forgotten about it
not in it, sorry.
Ok, thx anyways
interesting
you're as active in here as I am in the main pc channels
ok
what board do you use ._.
using a 40% rn
Which keyboard is this, anyone?
Apex pro tkl (I think )
Thx
just looks like rounded top cherry profile
It even says itās similar to cherry in the description
so a scooped version of cherry ??
Iām guessing similar to dss then, dss is nice but I hate centered legends.
i hate you
lyt
do you hate it more then this
or this
These images arenāt loading so
no comment
Ah
I actually like the second ones
silly funny
top are just badly produced keycaps
i hate you
lyt
if i were to switch to a wireless keyboard, would i feel the difference between it and a wired keyboard ?
2.4ghz, no
Bluetooth, not really either
bluetooth mouse yes bluetooth keyboard most likely not
Iāve used both, I donāt know if it varies from mouse to mouse but I didnāt notice any noticeable different either
the few that i've used were hellish
what are some good pre lubed switches that have a good thock and arent too expensive
would cherry mx speed silvers with lube sound thoccy ?
is this satire
no
i dont know how this stuff works
After looking back i now realize how stupid that question was
Not much but better than having a keyboard with a big crack where you rest your wrist š
K55
whereās the crack
It doesn't have one
Iāve been lied to
why are you eating corn flakes
Why not
joy depravity
ew
do not eat cereal next to a keyboard trust me
This is a physical representation of mental pain
sounds like a skill issue
heyā¦!! I like them :((
no you don't
Ok, but I dont
ew you dont ping in replies
ok
ok
now what man
cheetos
š
(that's not a question)

Opinion on using the nzxt function as a stepping stone to diy keyboards?
With the gateron red pros seems like a no brainer if looking for a keyboard at the moment well piecing together a nice DIY The switches can be pulled after the fact and fit into your DIY also which seems like a decent stepping stone compared to buying all The switches, instead slowly customizing them to your liking after figuring out on sampler boards. Only thing I noticed about the board that could be a slight hinderance is that its a north facing pcb. Also supports 5 And 3 pin Switches it seems like
hey can someone recommend a brand/site with good quality or a large variety of centered-legend keycaps?
you dont need a stepping stone, you can jump right in with like a keychron q something
just dont get sucked into the trap of buying recoloured linears just because they have like
a different plastic formula or some shit
its a literal scam
Ahh yeah I was looking into an actual aluminum chassis instead of plastic for my first actual DIY
the differences are so minimal that trying to chase after them is a waste of time and money
oh crap eh that one is aluminum
hmm
Ahhh They dont stock it in canada thats why
I was going through mostly all the resources for the canadian side of Mechanical keyboards
200 usd plus tax plus import
nzxt function Can be had for about like 130 cad around here local
I saw linus' video on it and I'm still using a keyboard with 6 key ghosting
thoccy woccy keeby
i wanna try some silent tactiles
with north facing you can sand your switch housing down for cherry caps if the interference bothers you
Sick Didn't know that was an option will have to look into it
Tried the keyboard at the store and really liked the feel of it
popped keycaps off and checked it out
seems to be fully disassemble-able too, with screws and what not on the face plate
most things are
it can be quality and still use clips
2 Screws through the bottom
Speaking of are Alps actually any good?
I have my Model M still Just only use it for really old stuff
your model m is probably a better tactile than like every mx tactile out there
Alps are great
SKCM/L specifically
Cool I'll have to see about pulling switches and trying them sometime
SKCC as well but those are harder to integrate into a modern keyboard
I recommend keeping them in their original board
They solder in?
its hard to use them in a modern board because it doesn't use mx dimensions
you would have to make a cutsom plate
I got the board out of the trash awhile ago
buy a specialised pcb
Ahh non standard dimensions
make sure the case fits said pcb and plate
then keycaps
alps keycaps are all over the place
this amounts to far more than you'd want to pay i'd imagine
Definitely
they are best in their original cases anyway imo
I just restore and screw around figured I should finally try a keyboard build
yeah unfortunately the current state of the hobby is pretty sad
everything is made for MX
and it feels like every month someone releases a recoloured variant of a linear switch that already exists lmao
I also have more non standard keyboards that i take home from work
where do you work?
woah
why are both akko and keychron closed for shipment until the 28th? i dont get it
completely unused
LNY
Yeah found a martian board in the storage room
ah ok
honestly wish id noticed i was using kailh hotswap instead of kailh choc hotswap footprints when building, i would like an LP board
what switches are they?
I honestly havent checked
I wish I could tell, forgotten most of what I learned about vints lol
Yeah their used still at the place as like start up commands for machines
nice
whole script to initialize the machine on one key for the employees
some places use em for like marketing and stuff
just recieved the Halo75
o m g the sound is absolutely incredible
the Baby Racoon switches with perfectly tuned stabs
and the weight make it soooo good
I have built multiple custom ones in different prace ranges , but for the 150$ this is unbeatable
I was looking at some baby raccoons how are the feel of them?
basically the same as the other gateron linears of different colour
Heard they have an extended stem
that just changes sound afaik
oh wait it does shorten travel
you won't find much of a difference in feel if you already have semi decent linears
this is what I mean by the linear recolour trap
Gateron reds
the racoons'll probably be slightly smoother?
its the same
idk I cant tell
doesn't make sense with (local) pricing imo
keychron k-series offers a lot of similar features
at lower pricepoints
for 120?
the keychron is about probably 290 cad once imported and converted
nzxt function would be 120 cad
yea then the function is quite a bit cheaper
My current keyboard is the razer ornata?
yeah haha
I got it as a gift awhile back
the whole mecha membrane
the ornata only has 6 key ghosting i found out
you mean 6kro
Err yeah
Has no key rollover
for anything more than 6
Noticed it playing a game recently and Didnt click until I used the microsoft Ghosting thing that Linus showed in his video
For years I think its been ghosting presses
Yeah I never realized how bad it was
Keychron K8 QMK/VIA Wireless Mechanical Keyboard. Supports out-of-the-box QMK/VIA. Wireless or Wired. Hot swap every switch in a breeze with the hot-swappable feature. Compatible with Mac, Windows, iOS, Android, Linux. Keychron Gateron G Pro Mechanical Switches. Connect up to 3 devices. 15+ RGB Backlight
check what shipping is for you
and just get whatever numpad
should be cad already
ohhh shhh ey
so yeah 190 for the full board minus tax
so 215 ish?
Definitely gonna have to keep keychron in mind , I didnt even see them well looking on the mechanical keyboard reddit
atleast the one for canada
I was looking at a lot of local stuff also though, Like board enthusiasts that will print chassis and stuff
Malvix does the mechrylic
Features: Perfectly balanced typing experience with a full plate, soft bottom out without being bouncy Nice and bouncy typing experience without overdoing it with the half plate option Feels just like a classic top mount, inspired by the bestĀ customsĀ in the hobby Proudly designed and manufactured by Malvix Studio in Ca
Was another i was looking at that was 3d printed but can't find it at the moment
@remote solar
the baby racoons
are just fucking lovely
I have milky yellows, creams, oil kings and these ones are by far
bth I'd rather go with this then https://www.makerkeyboards.com/products/scarlet
the most soothing ones š
even if it is more expensive
think i'm gonna buy a tester with them featured
couple that im gonna get put on a custom tester
When you buy the halo75
they give you free 7 swit hes
*switches
to add to your tester
the whole unboxing experience is very nice
Thats something that i really want in my diy
that adjustable height kickstand looks so good
I honestly also would really like that bluetooth capability for the steam deck
jesus
hit the wrong key combo end your boards existence by switching roms or something
š¤£š¤£š¤£š¤£š¤£š¤£š¤£š¤£š¤£š¤£š¤£
Yeah I just did a cursory glance but it doesnt look like it
yeah no qmk/via
but i honestly use qmk and vis
*via only for setting up rgb
and the i never use it again
via runs on qmk
That its like the realtek chip and the intel chip
you mean zmk?
qmk usually does not support wireless stuff, not sure what magic keychron use exactly, might be dual mcus
good morning
zmk does though
Why i was wondering about using a multi flashed rom for say dedicated wired but than to a BT rom when you want it
damn those switches
that sound ummmm
you'd need to reflash your mcu for that
the "ghost" spacebar is smooth
OR is their no practical benefit on using a hardwire only ie like speed, update rate what not
I'm still just very new with that whole kind of stuff , Was wondering if that is even like a thing
like just make layer 0 your standard wired layer, with 1 as an alternate layer for media controls etc
and then bind a key to swap between layer 0 and 2 as a toggle
so you get a different set of keys
and an alternate layer for that as well
without via you get more layers btw
but requires you to make a fixed firmware file
that you can't just change quickly with an interface
Do they support pass through flashing or are you using like a external programmer on first set up?
i got like 7 layers on my keyboard with vial
wdym with "pass through flashing"
yea vial is honestly just better than via at this point
Errr through the Usc-C to the keyboard
oh yea
instead of to the chip with a programmer
but if you use via or vial you don't even need to do that
yeah
the boards (usually) come with a bootloader on the chip already
so you just grab the qmk firmware with via/vial baked in already (if you have that option) and flash that on there via usb
Ahh okay , I come from the time of flashing EEPROM chips so im probably over thinking the hell out of it
no it is really easy
only board I had to do that with was the sesame
that has a 32A 40 pin DIP mcu
Guessing it just didnt have a bootloader or something burned
oh yeah that chip
was a simple matter of hooking up an AVRdude and flashing on the qmk bootloader
i wanna build a keyboard with that
Yeah I still have a couple programmers for chips like that around
I used to do bios reprogramming
otherwise you use this https://github.com/qmk/qmk_toolbox
which is just selecting your firmware file
and hooking up your keyboard in flash mode
usually a dedicated button that has to be held while getting plugged in
or something like escape
Damn so its really just that easy pretty much arduino ide bootloader pass through im guessing
and if you got auto flash enabled you just need to wait
i installed coreboot with my bios programmer
and you get all the available via firmwares over their website
i hate grabbing those chips
which is also part of the problem with via
Precompiled QMK firmware for VIA-supported keyboards
yes
problem with via is that they need to add it to their repository to get supported
and that soemtimes takes ages
while vial just loads the keymap from the board
I can totally make a numpad with that and a register bus probably
oh yea it's easy with a promicro
i literally have no idea what I'm doing with a pro micro and i made a keyboard, it's really straightforward
qmk handles everything easily
I might have to print out a 20 something key numpad case today and try and make one
find a plate
you essentially just have to enter in your rows and collumns
and define what button does what on which layer
or if you have enough pins just put the switches between ground and gpio
I made a (really crappy) one for work once lol
no diodes in that case
Yeah This has errr 12? logic pins
to switch between programms on a device
so basically split them in half with a bus
half? bus?
It divides the data streams i mean
a matrix?
think its an io bus register
like an io expander?
not needed though
if you have diodes you can make a matrix
ahh okay So you dont even need a io expander than for 24 keys with 12 pins?
nope
6 by 4 matrix would work
and then it's like 1 pin per row or column
wait what really?
yea diodes just prevent ghosting
I see now
I would still recommend putting them in
if you press A and D
it will also detect B as being pressed
without diodes
that sounds
I see though
when is it preferable to have ghosting
Thats really smart
never
I used to use io registers
but if you are like idk
cherry
and want to cheap out on your new line of g80-3000 keyboards
you remove the diodes
I thought you wanted 24 keys
all this could be done on 1 pro micro
yeah just as example though
easy to scale up once understood
yea
here is an antiquated handwiring guide
once i planned to design a "split" keyboard with an atmega328p and an elite c
I used this when I handwired
with 40 keys and 10 encoders :D
if you 3dp a plate though just be aware that the 1.5mm from cherry spec will be too thin and it would flex way too much
I just made my plates thicker and made some cuts so the switches would still snap in
then i realized handwiring thatd be pain and i should just design a pcb at that point
best method
won't work for switches though
Yeah Switches I was thinking about maybe seeing if i can print a socket but idk
well those are cool
I mean technically I could also drill through and wire my switches in i have a planed pcb also
ooh i like that
their like a pcb but just a ground plane ussually
you might be better off just getting a premade PCB if you just want to make a numpad though
that runs off a promicro
its just a pcb covered in copper
Kek yeah true
A through hole kit using a pro micro footprint and through hole diodes! Can be a 20 key macropad or a numpad! Printed cases here: https://keyhive.xyz/shop/may-pad-3d-printed-case It includes everything you need except for switches and a usb cable PCB bottom plate diodes pro micro
something like a maypad for example
(if it were in stock)
Yeah I have about 10 of these boards and a couple of just straight copper planes i cant find rn
pro micros?
I could probably solder straight to this but I would rather try and print a plate and try and mount this under
just so its not loose wires and such unless I can get everything to line up nicely
i'm gonna get someone who can't type well to type on this keyboard
oh shit it's horizontal
but anyways just rotate your neck 90 degrees
These are old Boards from when I did Repairs and such, Used to get prototype boards and cut out what i needed and wire up circuits on them
Although thinking of I wonder if A switch will fit into a bread board
I have a bread board nearly the size of a numpad to try out my build
so in the video its 45 bucks but on the website its 130???
yea not sure how they got that 45 USD price
bit scummy to show off a products price while using an influencer discount
keeb yt moment
any suggestions for a keyboard similar to fujitsu kb521 with extra funtion keys and multimedia keys like the kb521? price reasonable.
What do you consider reasonable
i looked around couldnt find any. cherry had one almost like it but had no sleep button
under 100e
And what layout are you looking for again?
2 months ago it was $70. Not sure when it was $45 though, that seems wayyy too low.
yeah not to mount on the breadboard just to put the pins into for testing
the vid is 4 days old
they claim that this was just a regular discount and not on black friday or anything
Ik
the other 2 items showed off r also way too low
oh damn
lttscam
G305 is $30 rn
The headphones seem like their $30 more tho so thats kinda weird
do you guys recommend and keyboards?
Why is the left shift so small
huh
did I say something wrong?
recommend "and" keyboards???
oh my bad
your question makes no sense
i mean any keyboards
yes
not an uncommon price
iirc bestbuy used to sell them for 18-25 USD bundled with a (tiny) mousepad
Hi there, so my logitech G910 is failing (double typing more and more often). I was told I should probably build my own keyboard and that sound compeling enough. What would be your recommendations though ?
Apparently testeur84 boards + outemu pandas switches would be a good way to go ?
you really wanna build or you want a prebuilt ?
When you make it yourself you can replace a switch when the switch is broken
you can do it with prebuilts too
I could probably replace my G910 switches too, needs some soldering but doesn't seem TOO difficult.
hotswap sockets arent unique to custom builds
I don't have a strong feeling in that regard, as long as it's something reliable, and that it's not clicky as all hell cause that's ground for divorce apparently.
what size ?
My wife is super tolerant of my various geeky hobbies (since she ain't much better anyway), but clicky keyboards of hell... that's where she drew the line š
full size , tenkeyless or smaller like 60%
I do enjoy my numpad š
If you want a custom one full sizes one is a 96% (almost)
if you want a prebuilt one go with Iquinix or NuPhy
or Akko
keychron
or Keychron yes
just trying to get people off Keychron
its a bit boring seeing everyone with the same prebuilts
the advantage to keychron is they offer a ton of form factors
good point, I need AZERTY (filthy french :D)
i'd love more competition in the 96% - full size market
idk if they have that
form factor is a better word than layout
halo96
iquinix seems super expensive though
ok
Which model is that
Ocean Star 3098B
milky yellow
being different for the sake of being different
Monsgeek M2
Check it out
Monsgeek M2 is nice
I love weeb packaging
so +1 on nuphy
also the boards, the air ones atleast arenāt bad
ok
š
Just hit 90wpm for the first time, I have a weird hybrid typing style and I'm very impressed that I was able to do that.
so proud of you
Wonder if I should do part-time data entry while I look for something more IT related.
gives you something to put on your resume
guys
logitech g915 vs g815
i like having the keyboard on my laps thats like somtimes a meter away from the computer
but i also play alot of counterstrike
815 and the 915 are the exact same prices for me
is the 915 still better?

clean š¤¤
Hey how would I get rid of that slight ting when I hit a key on my keychron?
do you mean ping?
Idk, just a slight metal noise
did you forcebreak
How do you replace your 80% PCB
what board
maybe you find a g80 one that fits
i have an E-yooso keyboard
atp
just buy another one (another eyooso)
a good pcb is like $40
idk where to buy them
.
no guarantee these will work with your board or have the right mounting points
ill look around some more
but thank you for the effort
@glossy sandal whats the cheapest g80 pcb you know abt
wha
š„
it is lmao
Is $30usd for a used rk61 a good value?
i doubt you can find a compatible pcb for under 20
not really
seems about what they go for, maybe a little more expensive
$29.43 after tax shipping and everything
w/ cherry mx browns
happend to two of my kailh creams
last week
lmao
they are working perfectly now
problem was they were actually glued to the bottom i noticed glue
second time they were removed nicely
and all of new switches work but wtf they spilled all over the place all over my monitor and speakers
good
anything in the pursuit of thock
Do you guys think the new zoom 65 v2 will be better than the zoom 75
milky yellow
Fuck thock, gimme a keyboard that thunks
iron180
half brass chasis
or case although chasis sounds way cooler
almost 5kg when built
Maybe when im less broke ill get the brass bottom for my sonnet
Wormier makes some around that price I think
I would recommend the RK61 but my newer one had multiple QC issues
I got a thing delivered today
Nothing fancy but it feels amazing
Keychron V7
Hello everyone! I am on the fence about the Logitech K860...does anyone here like ergos?
sculpty
stepped 6tg goes hard
What does this mean lol
Hi! I've been using a membrane keyboard that is in my laptop for the past 6 years, and I'm trying to move onto a normal keyboard, y'know. not in my laptop. Is there any brand that sells highish-quality membrane keyboards with small keycaps?
What is the budget
What do you mean by small keycaps
Short ahh keycaps?
AUD$10-70
Like they are physically thin keycaps
I think I may have found something alike what I am looking for
stupid long name but here it is:
edit:(or simply just Langtu L1 I don't know why I didn't think to just type that first bit into google)
LANGTU L1 RAINBOW BACKLIT ALL METAL PANEL 104-KEY ANTI-GHOSTING MEMBRANE KEYBOARD WHITE/SILVER
(Link: [Not sure if I'm allowed to share links in this discord, as many others don't allow link sharing, but here it is:https://langtustore.com/en-au/collections/keyboards/products/langtu-l1-rainbow-backlit-all-metal-panel-104-key-anti-ghosting-membrane-keyboard-white-silver) Its on that website but also amazon if you don't want to click the link š
I'm generally cautious myself with clicking links, even if they're somewhat solicited, so thats why I wasn't sure if I could send the link ^
whats a good keyboard (75%) under like 70 dollars
stack your bread a tiny bit then get a v1
how is a C1
i personally feel that while the c1 is just ok it is very worth it to save $15 more and grab a v1
I like ergo, but I'm more on the extreme side
Lmao omg I googled it and everything š
Thank you
@wintry tangle Join the dark side
Sheeeeesh you could work in bed
This is like medium-ergonomics I'd say
I'm still bound to the flat 2D plane here, so it's not ideal in terms of ergonomics
But it's a good portion of the way there, and it's really portable so that's nice
choc yum
i do like low profile
i tried to make a portable keyboard but forgot to choose choc
My next design is Choc Mini, so it's gonna be even more low profile lol
Lubed Cherry MX Brown and Think 6.5
Think 6.5 pretty dope
mx brown mid
mx brown hype
milky yellow
All cherries do
I will always lube em now. So much better
I need to get a crkbd
Corne
š½
guys, whats the best budget lube
budget lube?
yeah
What does that mean
if you mean cheap lube, just buy from a vendor close to you
205g0 can do an entire board(s) for 7$
https://novelkeys.com/collections/keyboards/products/nk87-aluminum-edition-batch-1?variant=42387116621991 what does washers not installed mean?
The NK87⢠- Aluminum Edition is a TKL keyboard with a hotswap PCB. These are the first batch and do not include the washers between the stabilizer and PCB. This can cause some input errors if the washers are not installed. Please note that these do not come with a warranty for the PCB.
are you just unable to read or something
kinda wanna get a goofy 40%
even thinking just Vortex Core
basically minimal dimesions
other then height but whatever for height
the stabilizers dont have the plastic washers under the screws so there could be a chance of shorting the pcb (but i havent had any issues)
so do i have to buy a washer
It would be recommended
On some PCBs, you will have a need to use a washer to not bridge led or other traces. Buy stabilizer washers to alleviate that problem M2 inner diameter x 5mm outer diameter x .5mm thick Matte Black color Nylon Washer that will not carry current or charge Safe to use on your PCB Comes in packs of 50 (bagged via weight
something like that, but they give the measurements
or you can swap the stabilizers for something else
is there a video on how to do it
š
Find it on YouTube
hi
i know it sounds cheap but does this mean they are settled in fine
they are a millimeter higher than on my old switches but they work fine
anyone has an idea to silence a spacebar?
foam causes it to be sticky
clear tape also
tape also
i tried everything it's either loud or it sticks and doesnt work
Tried filling the spacebar itself?
yep
with different tapes,foams
o rings

I mean if you vill the void in the spacebar it shouldnt be interfering with any of the mechanisms
How is it loud btw, can you post vid? And are your stabilizers lubed up?
il film it one sec
this is with the foam
this is without

any ideas?
Are your stabilizers generously lubed?

I do like emojis but yours are a bit hard to understand š

Im not very good at this keyboard thing ive only built my one and it sounded perfect first try because im amazing. I'll have to leave it to someone else in here. Best of luck tho
are you a fan
of the stuff on your profile pic ?
cuz i got this
and no idea what is it
Thats just nuphys mascot i think. My pfp is from symphogear, the greatest series that has ever existed

remove some of the foam around those stems
otherwise your spacebar will bottom out on the foam
also you might just want to lube your stab wire a bit better
maybe check if the stab housing doesn't sit especially tight
that is why people don't do brass plates
they sound bad
ah
I always thought theyĀ“re the best š
but its true that my best sound keebs have metal plates
you can see exact spots what you need to cut out if you press it on a bit harder
and not brass
to leave an indent in the foam
brass is a metal
ye
brass and steel are not super popular cause they sound very harsh
5052 alu is prob most popular for plates
in terms of metals at least
theyre cheap but they sound absolutely incredible
Hey, guys is it okay if i ask support question about keyboard here?
yes
Thanks
I got this very generic mechanical keyboard as a gift, but since i got it i noticed that sometimes when im typing or gaming, one area of switches requires double or triple tap to register a button
but the funniest thing is, if i blow very very lightly on it, it works fine for few minutes.
But when i use compressed air it doesn't give the same result
so basically i thought it might be related to heat of my breath
but i also tried heating it in different ways, and nothing works, the only thing that fixes it for few minutes its my breath (LMAO)
But i was wondering what could cause the buttons to not register
sometimes it's W or D or R
It's this Keyboard
Maybe it's related to the scent of my breath xD
most likely just horribe contacts
that get slightly better with the increased moisture
Damn, you might be right - i didin't think about the moisture
was a thing with mouse switches double clicking
where people thought it was related to dry air
similar situation though
bad contacts getting better with the moisture
Are there any fixes to that? Like putting lube between switches
if it is failing contacts
no not really
I wouldn't recommend spraying in contact cleaner etc
since it might not behave well with all the plastics involved etc
Sadge, so basically i have to move to Thailand?

Thatās just chifi
I dindt know!!
What's the best/most effective way to clean Under the keys in a membrane keyboard?
@ me if replied
Shake off the loose dust and brush with something (dry toothbrush works)
sk96s vs gk96s whicj is beter for a good quiet gaming keyboard also what switch is quiet for both
illl get a gateron switch just idk what type
i jusrt dont know id mechancal or optical is better but i want it to be quiet but sill hasve that nice sound
@wise niche skae vaccum and then use a tooth brush with very light rubbing alchol adn the dry brush it
whatād you build your sonnet with
Black top/gold bottom, brass plate and weight, chinajoy switches (with some bonus lube on the bottom out and return contact points for a slightly more muted sound, quite happy with it tbh, 205g0 on switch and springs), durock v2 stabs with some chunky super lube, had to tune the space a bit with a syringe and 205. Tape modded w/ 2 layers. And cherry profile keycaps off amazon i thought looked nice.
Flash the brass. So pretty
Havent recorded sound tho sadly and am at work
Milky yellow
I'll definitely vouch for the quality from mode at least on this one. Very nice board.
what switches are best for csgo?
thats very subjective
ok
i wanfast reaction tiem and good sound
All mechanical switches have the same reaction time
If all you care about is gaming buy a wooting or something
If you genuinely want an advantage the wooting is the only real recommendation
^^^
honestly the best is whatever makes you most comfortable
i buy brown stiches
Wouldn't that be low profile switches?
theoretically yes
Mmmm numpad ā¤ļø
light wirebrush
though at that point you might as well get a better keyboard.... (no judgement intended, ik not everyone can)
imho target around 50g of actuation force
travel and stuff like that are negligible to actually worse
speed switches as someone mentioned above I find I have a lot of misclicks from my fingers resting on the keys, not optimal
Cherry browns? don't
If you want tactiles, there are loads of better options. Even outemu makes some good tactiles ie outemu pandas and gazzew bobas
kalih
fully built or a kit?
Either
I guess fully build
But I want a 100 percent or 96
I really like the sk and gk 96 I just canāt chose
Wait for v6 to restock
If you are find with a kit tho

did ya'll see the new keychron numpad release?
Keychron Q0 Plus is a custom number pad with a macro column and rotary encoder knob on the left, serving as a separate numeric keypad or a vast customizable array of keysets with QMK/VIA support. It's added a new double-gasket design with an all-metal CNC machined body, screw-in stabs, hot-swappable function, etc.
Yes
