Cause I understand not a lick of this.
I would recommend the V3 over it but since you’re strictly under 100$
Also worth checking out the keychron k8
It is not
Doesn’t look like that one has RGB.
yep just checked nvm
it is
just not translucent keycaps
more of a backlight
?

I was responding to retro, not you kyle
Are we looking at the same thing?
no
We are not
thats the k8
Oh
k10 could be a good option bc you like full sized
Wormier k87 is decent
What in gods name is this
XVX Womier K87 Mechanical Gaming Keyboard Gateron Switch TKL Hot Swappable Keyboard Partitioned RGB Backlit Compact 87 Keys for PC PS4 Xbox (White, Red Switch) https://a.co/d/d9HQoQv
Essentially heavier red switch
type beat
So not what I’m looking for then.
idk what Kyle is on about but it’s just red but heavier
What is a pudding key cap, this lingo…
No
its like the bottom of a keycap thats see through ig lmao
They’re just heavier reds
gotcha didnt know that
the only different aside from springs are the dye compositions
a spring swapped yellow and red will be the same thing
Ok
Uhhh…
Switches
Honestly I’m just not sure what to do.
Maybe I’ll try to give the Vulcan more of a shot?
Yeah, I just haven’t even been at my PC lately as is.
Don’t know whether it’s the keyboard or just the Switch enticing me more.
I’m trying to understand it it’s just a lot all at once.
You can if you want no one’s stopping you
It’s gonna work as a keyboard should
With the clicks you want
Huh. Hey @glossy sandal
Newmen GM1000 96% Mechanical Gaming Keyboard Wireless Bluetooth/2.4G/Wired USB C Keyboard Compact RGB Backlit Hot Swappable Mechanical Keyboard with Number Pad for Mac/Win Gateron Blue Switches https://a.co/d/7s9ajOY is this any good?
A 96% layout mechanical keyboard with number pad that connects to laptops, PC and smartphones via bluetooth, 2.4Ghz and wired usb c. The wired usb-c keyboard features 20 rgb backlights, and can customisable rgb backlit. This compact hotswap mechanical keyboard uses Gateron switche, PCB allows you...
Looks good on paper but I can’t really tell you anything about it, never ever seen a newmen board, would suggest saving that little bit of money for they v series boards.
Hmm
Gateron blues are good tho but blues usually sound or feel the same anyway
Get what u want
Whatever fits your setup
I just wanna make sure it’s gonna be the right one, cause i only get one shot at this
I don’t do much gaming like I used to. I kinda switched off to the Switch, if that makes sense.
It’s mostly just gonna be for if I need to type something and the rare gaming session.
Yeah.

There is a Logitech board as well, the G512 Carbon?
Try to avoid gamer oriented brands
Most are e-waste
Hmm. Noted.
How’s the keychron v4
solid, any praise for the v series boards pretty much applies to all of them because they’re the same aside from layout
bye bye now
Trust me i have no idea tbh. These fellas would know.
its a keyboard if youre asking
hello i am getting some akko switches that are discontinued is there any issue or just no longer produced
also i am getting them for my keychron so wondering if there is anything else to consider that i need to get or only a couple of these switches
Looking for a full sized keyboard for work that sounds like this:
https://www.tiktok.com/t/ZTRbCF8Bd/
Can anyone recommend something?
I use the numpad quite a bit so it's kind of necessary for a full sized
Keychron q6/v6, stuff with foam, done :)
gb passed so gl with aftermarket
gl with finding one i mean
Oh
with good price as well

market is getting better and better for buyers 🐛
I wanna pick up freyr maybe soonish

Kittycat
ewpert
what are some good budget keyboards?
Pspspsps
I've been home for the first time in like 4 weeks and my cat still won't let me pet him
Not only am I unlikable by people it's by pets as well
Imagine
Society constantly fucks me over and makes me question am I sane when in reality I am, it's not me but that of society's perception of people is wrong and persuades you and manipulates you into being a sheep you aren't
I don't fit in at all, that's the hard thing to overcome and admit but why fit in with a pack of people who don't even care about you?
I've gotten gifts, I've gotten love, I've gotten respect, I've gotten friends, I've gotten all of that yet I'm in a position of grief and confusion. Am I spoiled? Ungrateful? Why do I deserve these things to happen to me
define budget
20-30€ preference lies with a branded keyboard
From a recognized brand
country?
Netherlands
man 30€ for that is just lying to yourself
you take whatever is remotely not shit for that price
Then how much would a reasonable keyboard cost?
100~ is pretty solid
hhkb hype
im back
turns out that the red is also out of stock
i want to know what switch types are good
dont need to be quiet
these are the options
any of you use a kinesis advantage keyboard? I am thinking about getting one. Currently using a standard mechanical keyboard from amazon thats tenkeyless.
My first actual gaming keyboard with mechanical switches
Corsair K60 RGB Pro Low Profile
still have a default HP mouse BUT K60 PRO
blacks and silvers work
sweet
hope you like it
Indeed I do
tyty im very new to this
Ergo keyboards. Any percent at this point, I'm just trying to get feelers out there. Any brand recommendations? Models?
Yeah, I've seen what they had. Few others too. Was wondering if there's something out there I hadn't heard of yet. Something that might be good but might not necessarily be a big brand name.
not much from me
theres a lot, but depends on your budget
I'm considering the dygma defy. Let's hear them.
I'll look into that.
is there such thing as a sTream deck emulator?
i need it to assign a function to my keyboard which only works with a stream deck
macropad
is it okay if the pe foam covers the rizors on the board? or should i cut and make it so the rizers are in the open
what are rizors
Do you mean standoffs
like yk where u screw the nails in, and then there like little things on each side of the thing
imma send a pic
oh those are fingers
Yeah that was my first thought
ive been using the k55 with membrane for 4 years

fellow brit
anyone else order the quertykeys 65 the other day ? I did! white/gold mirror.
Lit
i just foam modded my board and i tried 1 switch and it sounds weird asf
I recently got a hot swap PCB with sockets that pops off like it was merely stickered on. What I discovered is a combination of lead free solder and bad manufacturer process. In this video I talk about to this is an easy fix.
I also found another video from kprepublic that shows how to fix if the whole pad comes off, linked here,
fortunately ...
got to experience some of that earlier kind of with kailh sockets on my keyboard
but instead it was the pad coming off the pcb when putting a switch in
blew out the back of the board
and had to superglue it + reinforce the hair thin trace with enamel wire
their lead free shit solder that evga used and basically every keyboard company is forced to use melts at such a high point that the socket was starting to get gooey when soldering to it
low temp plastic sockets + lead free solder
pretty sure you can just buy a mechanical numpad calculator and solder your own switches in
My first mechanical keyboard (Ducky one 2 100%)
imagine whole class taking calculus exam and using clicky switches
lmao just complete silence and in the back you hear THOCK THOCK THOCK
reminds me of the guy who brought typewriter to the class
a typewriter ??????
the old fashioned way.
.
omg that guy is a psycho
that ding 😆
Friday is going to be an expensive day.
y
osume keys is bringing a few sets back in stock, mode might have the 65 up on kickstarter, and I feel like another board is coming out. lol
they look really really nice. I just purchased a qk 65 the other day and
would love to use those keys with it.
nice
Logitech MX Keys for work
anyone have a good link for a syringe with or for lubing?
why do you need a syringe
are you planning to use an oil and cba to open up the switch
is this a good foam for keyboards https://www.amazon.ca/Protection-Cushioning-Supplies-Furniture-Glassware/dp/B08R86DD5C/ref=mp_s_a_1_10?crid=15V71JUVVVMS4&keywords=pe+foam&qid=1672933115&sprefix=pe+foam%2Caps%2C99&sr=8-10

ty. should I use the same lube on both the wire and housing?
why does my kb sound so bad with foam?
you did a bad job or its not your preference
if you got the extra money you can get bdz
this is the way i did it
i used those foam sockets
probably dont cut the foam cut to different pieces, keep it into one piece
the one piece
i only got small pieces unfortunately
this the one i bouht
maybe just get thicker foam
do yk any good foam that i could buy
evape
wha
VIGOR GK50 LOW PROFILE is this a good keyboard ?
are low profile keyboards shit or ?
Just got a keychron (as suggested) and it looks good af 😮💨
what one
HELL YEAH
Figured this fits here but my gamaky Lk67 won't Bluetooth to my windows PC
The bt mode is on and it's charged it just won't show up in the pairing thinggy

not gunna lie, wish I got the sonnet over the qk65 I just ordered
No one cares about what keyboard you bought and what you think of it
ok bud
someone needs a nap
Just speaking 📠
I get that spending money feels good and you want to tell people about it
But no one cares, especially if you talk about it four times in 24 hours
This is a keyboard chat I was making conversation. You are the only person here giving off negative comments. Don't have anything nice to say? Butt out man. Nobody cares that you hate you're an angry person.
You ain’t making any conversation by repeating how you bought a qk65 lol
W/e man
I also just enjoy calling out keyboard hobbyists on their bs
little warrior
gtfo lol
has nothing better to do but to scroll through channels and talk crap. Tough guy
It really doesn’t take up much of my time 🤷
It works too
You’re seething and I’m just chuckling to myself
would hexagonal keycaps feel weird? they basically stagger themselves lol
i guess youd have to make your own pcb for that too though
you could also handwire with a custom plate
ive been loving 4x10 layout lately
4x5 split is also nice
but none of the boards ive seen really match my wants
then again the more cool features i see the more i want on my "ideal" board, so probably not great for the wallet?
Time to learn cad and pcb design 🔥
yeah
really depends on what you’re making
but go to gaojie or similar with your design and they’ll give you a quote
a friend of mine was quoted 500$~ for everything but a pcb and plate(?)
? what cost 500?
If you want cnc then yes
Resin printing shouldn’t be as bad
Pcbs are pretty cheap if you’re willing to assemble them yourself
🐛
🎷🐛
📣🐛🤙
how cheap would it be to have a plateless pcb with rubber feet on the pcb itself?
by the end?
im not sure, maybe 70?
best to just send your design in for a quote
keep in mind places like jlcpcb and oshpark have MOQs
osh is three and jlc is 5
how long would it take to design one from scratch?
upwards of a month?
i saw https://github.com/ruiqimao/keyboard-pcb-guide in the mechboards subreddit
ai03 has a wiki
follow his guide and you'll be fine, there is also a discord server for this stuff
gas can probably link that
im not in like 95% of the keyboard servers anymore
https://wiki.ai03.com/books/pcb-design/ this one?
was kinda buried in search results and only via reddit for some reason lol
Yeah this one
Dunno if theres a better resource now, this was what I used back then
including switches and caps in this estimate?
just the MOQ amount
by that I mean 70 for three from osh and 70 for 5 from jlc
very rough estimate though so don't quote me on that
looks like a 40 key keyboard would cost ~115usd for three copies?
from osh
just judging from the amount of keys :c
(threw in a random 40 key pcb into jlc) its like 10usd for 5, and double that for shipping? lol
threw the same pcb into osh, 123usd
for 3?
Which is why I said don’t quote me on that lol
Anyway oshpark pcbs are very high quality (supposedly) which is why it costs so much
Jlc is nowhere as good but should get the job done
16 votes and 34 comments so far on Reddit
yeah i was just checking to ballpark lol
ill do jlc for proto ig
or if i want a cheap one to travel with
spent some time doing a mock up layout for a keyboard i wanna do, does this look reasonable?
usb c is for connecting left right halfs
probably gonna end up doing choc
yeah its just a fairly standard 3x10 + 8 modrow, just rearranged, with the features i want yknow
there’s a link for keyboard atelier on ai03’s website
I’m not in it because I’m not deep into designing but yeah great resource (even if it’s a little dead if you wanna chat with someone)
My new keyboard. I know prebuilts aren't the best but I like this one. Plus I got a good deal on it
awesome
There’s a bit more variance two the last two compared to linears, I like heavy tactiles
what switches would you consider to be 'heavy tactiles'
just curious
70-80+g
I think light tactile is my preference
But yeah. Cherry low profile reds feel good to me
i dont know the numbers offhand for most of the different types, but iirc that would be something a bit more than gateron box ink switches, i think they are like somewhere around 60-65
im still trying to figure out which switches i like the best
yeah im not too picky either, just notice i type better on some than others
best thing to do is to just try lol
establish some preferences
and im trying to see how fast i can theoretically get my typing speed up to
Cherry low profile red just feels... Nice.
i havent really tried any low profile boards/setups, only my friend's nuphy air 75
yeah i cant get into it
Fair.
I’m sure squishmallow loves them
im one of those nerds who really cherished my vintage super old ibm model m keyboard
But i actually preferred low profile red compared to full size red
i know the company that took over the model m manufacturing makes boards still, including an updated version of the model m, i might have to look into that just for fun. been eyeing some obscure vintage keyboards to try and find a cool keycap set if i get lucky
you might know, am i simply not looking in the right place or have i just not realized that there's no such thing as double shot PBT caps that have some kind of true shine-thru effect for the lettering/LED lights
They exist. Just you're not looking in the right place
like something where just that part of the lettering somehow remains able to be see thru. idk enough about the differences between the double shot pbt, dye-shot, dye-sub etc
need this asap 🐛
Hm.
Also... My keyboard's MSRP is $160, but it regularly goes for $130. I got it for $110 thanks to a price match and Best Buy
ive been trying to find a cool dark colored keycap set, pref something that has a subtle gradient effect to it even, but with the letters that have a true shinethru effect. something sort of like these in general style https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08SW9JLZY?psc=1
any decent keyboards that dont break local noise pollution laws and also dont break my bank account?
how much you wanna spend lol
noise pollution laws
Yeah. Budget is number one question
Razer Greens be like
omg razer greens
uuuh $150 so like 20 British pounds
dont even get me started
Got any other criteria ?
i learned the hard way, i have a razer blackwidow elite that thing is so noisy
i keep seeing one on facebook adverts that looks semi nice but idk let me find it
Blackwidow X Chroma and TE V2
after budget most important thing is style/size
like if you want a full size with numpad, a TKL/tenkey less, 75%, 65% etc
What features do you need? Hotswap? Wireless?
i always point people towards keychron
no clue who they are but it keeps catching my eye for some reason wireless would be nice as i move between 2 locations a lot do you get keyboards with a wireless dongle and bluetooth ?
they have some really good boards that are well made, affordable
NuPhy are solid actually
yeah that's a nuphy that's a pretty good board
Yeah. Keychron is solid. A solid gateway drug into spending 2 G's on a KEYBOARD.
Would recommend a keychron v series for the price, also https://keychron.uk
see they advertise on facebook and that just screams dodgy for some reason as its always filled with crap
keychron v series is great
Keychron is a good option.
what are laptop keyboards chicklet?#
Most are membrane
If you want a reliable wireless solution and don't care about hotswap, look into the Logitech MX Mechanical.
Some can be chiclet and other stuff
the keychron v series esp some of the newest ones are some of the best deals you can get on any computer related gear right now imo
oooh the logitech one is nice
Because Logitech's wireless is 👌
does it need the g hub app or does it work without it
the wireless on the keychron is solid
MX Mechanical doesn't use G hub
g hub sucks
It uses Logitech Options+
there's also some good stuff by epomaker/akko
i like logitech mice compared to my old corsair one but the app is so bad compared to icue
yeah icue is already bad enough it might be more bloated than anything on my computer
The Logitech also has EasySwitch.
its like 3+ gb
Most proprietary software sucks
Yeah true
oooh i see you changed the url to .uk
I like qmk/via though
Though some are okay to use.
i couldnt find the uk layout
easy to work with
ah yeah, the keychron boards have the UK layout
you have to select the ISO
in the menu
v series is qmk/via compatible which is pretty big feature for me
Does Keychron have any options with USB wireless?
hot swappable, has the knob as well
Like wireless with a USB dongle?
Not as far as I can tell, just 5.1 Bluetooth
whats the switch thing mean like what one is quiet
Any that aren’t blue will be relatively quiet
that's low profile keep in mind
Reds are probably the most docile, browns have a small bump when you’ve actuated the switch.
so like a laptop keyboard?
My PC has Bluetooth 5.2. But I can't have my PS5 controller and my Bose headphones paired at the same time or I deal with connection losses.
idk i dont know keyboard lingo
Eh laptops are probably thinner
Plus Windows just sucks with Bluetooth headphones in general
this is the one i would get, it's 40 over your budget but you wouldnt have to upgrade anything on it
Keychron Q2 is a fully customized 65% layout mechanical keyboard packed with all premium features and unlimited possibilities. Q2 is an all-metal keyboard that allows customizable capabilities for every key switch, keycap, knob, and stabilizer. It’s made for your personalized experience and a more comfortable typing experience.
Sorry... Had to get that off my chest
i dont like the border lol apart from that it looks nice :/
or the similar board in the v series if it's available in ISO layout for the UK
Knob 😳😳
Would recommend anything from v/q series
knob is the way to go
Both are solid and praise is universal for either because they’re all the same board
Mine just has a wheel.
Just different layouts
It has a volume wheel which is nice.
ooh nice
personally hate knobs
they have the v1 and other v series with the ISO
lel
lmao well the bot didnt like that message
God. White with RGB lighting looks so GOOD
Keychron V1 (UK-ISO, DE-ISO, ES-ISO, FR-ISO, Nordic-ISO, SW-ISO) is a fully customized 75% layout compact mechanical keyboard packed with all premium features and endless possibilities. The V1 allows customizable capabilities for every key switch, keycap, knob, and stabilizer. It’s made for your personalized experience and a more comfortable typ...
this one is 94 bucks
Like why didn't I guess that white with RGB lighting looks good?!
they have it in brown and red switches
The way it diffuses across the board..
yah depends on the board, i am using a white board right now that i didnt think i was going to keep but i feel in love with it
if the RGB is done well on the board and the effects look good and its strong enough it looks great
so roughly 68 greggs sausage rolls?
i can afford that yeah seems good
That was me with the Alienware keyboard. The brand sent me away at first... But then I tried it.
Recommend look through entire v series lineup
And it was perfect.
https://www.keychron.com/collections/keychron-iso-jis-keyboard-collection/products/keychron-v4-qmk-custom-mechanical-keyboard-iso-layout-collection?variant=40311040344153 - this one is 79, only difference is it's smaller and doesnt have the knob
The V4 is a fully customizable mechanical keyboard suitable for different scenarios. It’s an entry-level custom keyboard with a mini 60% layout, QMK/VIA support, an acoustic silicone pad, and double-shot PBT keycaps to provide you with a great typing feel and endless possibilities.
See something you like more if you’d like to buy it
the v1 and v4 are the only ones they have with the uk ISO in stock
you might wanna check on amazon, idk how amazon stock is for the uk or if you can order from us amazon but they have a lot of keychron stuff in stock always
God there should just be stores where you can try all these boards
yeah i hope that one day linus media group will open up a kick ass computer store of some kind
and open them all across north america
merge with micro center
There’s probably a mech store near you lel
Plouffe handles the keeb division
and bring back good computer stores for everyone
YES
We need good computer stores again
Best Buy is nice and all. But it don't got everything
best buy is awful tbh
Here’s one that just opened in Malaysia
It's okay.
its only nice in the sense that we have so little aside from that
that it seems good in comparison
i live in the US in one of the biggest cities in the whole world and we have one micro center which is about an hour away by car
My local BB has the Odyssey Arc
the best buys here are a joke they have such little selection
yeah im in los angeles
That big ass curved rotating monitor from Samsung.
If only it was one mile further
yeah best buy seems to have either stupid expensive stuff that only rich people can buy
or some stuff that most people would want but it's usually more expensive than amazon or other places
Or a decent laptop selection
and compared to micro center its totally lacking
I would LOVE to go to Micro Center
i grew up with a micro center in my town, it was the greatest thing ever
Micro Center is pretty bad keyboards wise
Only thing they have is glorious, and that’s pretty bad to be stuck with
pretty sure it was one of the oldest micro centers, and this place was enormous they took over this old home depot and it was the size of the whole store
Aesthetics
Aesthetics
just for decoration lol
is that it
Literally just for looks.
yeah, same with the "aviator" cable
Admittedly it looks nice
The way it curves makes signals go faster
i personally think it looks horrible and i would definitely get that covered in dust especially if it was breaded
100% real proven fact
well, the aviator cable is cool that you can disconnect and connect different boards
but you can do that with a regular usb c cable too
Take care of your shit then.
Simple. Clean it once a week
i dont have a funny pun for that yet but ill get back to you
dust is easily taken care of, just have to be diligent about keeping stuff clean
Clean your setup once a week. Take the time to do so.
get some of this stuff

This stuff just gets what’s on the keycaps
along with a little micro vacuum cleaner/duster thing, and you're golden
yeah this stuff is good to pick up stuff stuck to mouse mat, in weird areas after you take off keycaps
i swear thats a type of beer
Isopropyl Alcohol
So the good shit
yeah i just remove all my keycaps about once a week anyway
Those will get loose
im too OCD to not do it, lol
Clean mine every couple months
Custom monitor wen?
its probably overkill what i do, anything on this keyboard is extra noticeable though because it's got a brass plate in it, which seems to make it noticeable as hell
That'd be so funny if a custom monitor scene appears. Like custom keyboards
why is there a keyboard chat and not a mouse chat
good question
i feel personally a decent mouse is way more important than a keyboard
i would llove to be able to make my own custom keyboard
Tbh the most important part of a mouse is ergonomics. The shape
like with a genuine unique case/model design and pcb
nvm forget the mouse idea it would just be children putting sticky tape on their mouse and clicking as fast as possible
like, i had been talking with this kid i met on youtube a few years ago who is this genius hardware builder/modder, who had been working on making the best controller for gaming ever. he stopped responding like over a year ago and last i looked he hadnt uploaded or updated any of his online stuff
And your preferred shape depends on how you grip the mouse. Claw and palm are the most common
i wonder if microsoft or sony got to him 😦
“for gaming” always gets me
lemme find his last video he posted, the controller prototype that he had working in it is super impressive
I use a controller to do my taxes
just sounds like copium to me
kudos to him for making a controller but something being optimized for gaming doesn’t make sense to me
YOU HAVE NEVER SEEN A CONTROLLER LIKE THIS BEFORE! This is truly a industry changer! In todays video we are showcasing another custom controller. But this time we turned it up a notch. By combining the insane accuracy of a mouse and the ease of use of a controller, it has resulted in something amazing!
GIVEAWAY
YUP! Per usual, we are givi...
Holy fuck
it looks janky but check it out it's dope
Can I put an egg in there
I want a mouse channel
Because different people have different needs/preferences for mice.
like this thing is built for playing an FPS
🐛
i originally was considering this
still might go for it
might make the thumb cluster level, maybe add a few more buttons there. dunno if putting mcu board on mod row would be too weird
also needs a spot for the split cable
can you fit a usb c port in a quarter u
It’s your design, if you can make it happen, why not
truu
i keep going between "as grid as possible" to "mirrored stages for a bit of ergo", lol
Flip coins
J think there’s a couple old boards with hexagonal designs
I don’t have the place where I found them anymore but they are a thing
like for choc or mx or something before
they were mx
main reason I wanted them were for the keycaps and switches
The board was dead
but broken in vints and neat keycaps are nice
Yo which Keyboard would u guys recommend not over 120 Eur
i never owned a good keyboard or a mechanical Keyboard
Pre built or custom?
And any specific features you want?
What lay out?
depends on what board layout/size you want. also if you need a specific language keycap layout as well. we discussed this earlier a few hours ago in here with a guy from the uk, i stand by my recommendations to check out keychron's V series boards, they are well under 120 euro and come fully assembled with good keycaps, good switches, have rgb, are hotswappable so you can customize them to your liking. they have a bunch of different layouts. might wanna also look into some of the stuff made by epomaker/akko as far as pre-made boards go.
aint reading allat
too long fr
i use a corsair k70 rgb pro and its great, they have a few versions too, tkl, etc. i dont know how it converts over but it shouldnt be too much more if not less. i replaced the keycaps on it to a white steelseries set but only for looks. the part that sold me is that you can store the rgb template into the keyboard memory so you dont need the icue software running in the background for it to memorize your color scheme like razer does for their stuff
Ugh Alienwares peripherals looks so GOOD

is that a troll post
No, let them enjoy what they enjoy
Hey, does anyone have any recommendations for a wireless mouse to go with the keychron k2? Ping me if you do because I’ll be sleeping. Thanks :))
how do y'all feel about this The Msi gk50 low profile ?
ello
Evening
TLDR
Custom or nah
Switch type
And layout
Try Turnin on secure boot in bios
And make sure it says enabled AND active
Or windows 11 might’ve fucked it
that worked thanks
Lol I had the same problem with fifa and heard it’s the same thing with valorant
Hey. So if the primary use of the mouse is for gaming, I'd recommend something from Logitech or Razer. Razer's mice are pretty solid. Now, if you're mainly doing productivity, look into the Logitech MX Master 3S
ok my keyboard finally got an estimate on shipping, except im going to be moving, fucking fucked fuck
razer uuuh
Glad you like it
clean
thx
Hm?
i got the thing on the thing ngl
True

Ninjutso sora, imo a better buy than logitech or razer mice, I have several from both and they arent as nice
Looking for a first mech keyboard, Apex Pro TKL, Keychron Q3 or something else?
Q3 is a solid choice yeah
is low profile (like choc) more expensive? it looks nice, but also confusing with v1 v2
It is, and you get less options, and waaaay less keycap options
Well, Choc V2 works with certain keycap profiles
Choc V1 uses Choc-style keycaps, Choc V2 uses regular MX
I'm somewhat familiar with it, since I design my keyboards for Choc
Is KLube worth it?
Oh no
I do agree their keycaps are beautiful but for the price it does not sound great 😄
I mean its not particularly bad
kinda sounds like the recording was kinda fucked because in other reviews it sounds different
Not saying it's bad but for 300 bucks it should sound good in any microphone
and also sound is completely subjective
quality wise it doesnt seem too horrible for 300, ofc you can get a better result by modding yourself but for a prebuilt its aight
sounds like foam to me
The thing
the spoingle 🐛
Fr
also marketing behind it seems kinda scummy
undermining customs as a selling point doesn’t sit right with me
And why is a org making keyboards bruh
Cope
It’s true though

is that a good or allergic reaction i cant tell
yeah maybe get a quote from a printer
what is a gerber in this context?
Gerber files
uh i think thats next step
Are you planning to snap it in half?
maybe some of them
i figured since i had to get a buncha pcbs anyways, why not make it both a split and a unibody

no idea, is that in jlcpcb?
How would you reconnect the traces though
Unless you aren’t showing all of them
Ah at the top?
ye
Right okay
i was trying to figure out how funny itd be to say "IDC" and leave it at that
I know what an IDC cable is, can’t fool me
ngl im still confused what it is
is it a ribbon mounting method? or like, that socket?
Yeah it’s an assembly for mating ribbons afaik
i found a rainbow one that looked nice
i was bouncing around between different transports
briefly considered micro hdmi
until i saw the footprint
this 6mm reset switch footprint is annoying
cant find a good spot for it
20usd for 5?
idk
thats what the quote came out to
ill have to figure out how much itll cost total later, see how worth it is
looks like itd be about 80usd for a single built board minus case, unibody, no extra fries
that seems reasonable
aside from all the extras
Why does every community have snobs? Istg
slob on this knob

Bet
is this good for a "thocky" keyboard?
its a keyboard, whether or not if its a "thocky" keyboard is entirely up to your definition

Topre better
hey im lookin for a budget mechanical keyboard preferably under £40
any recommendations?
alright
Brooo I wanted that keyboard so bad when I was younger
And the gk61

Where to search for keyboards larger than 100%? Preferably with 2 function rows
Boston 120 by bluepylons
Interesting
- confused Brit noises *
what features should I look for in a keyboard
keys
and ideally in a board form factor
to be honest its mostly preference based
nkro/n-key rollover, low latency, no severe firmware/macro software problems that causes a wall of complaints in reviews
wrong reply but whatever
there are some things that are objectively better with keyboards besides preference
preference is mostly switch type
or layout
careful, they'll start screaming about something something sound something something thock
basing a keyboard off sound is stupid if half the videos showcasing them have some 200 dollar microphone 3 inches from the keyboard
sounds completely different in person
or based on desk/mouse mat/whatever
agree, though the sound test thing isn't the whole problem
lovw thock
Like ergonomic designs 😎
Best mouse pad for a gpro super light and razer death adder v3
are you looking for a fast mouse pad or a control mouse pad
No they’re looking for the best mousepad obviously
any of them it literally doesnt matter
Hmm maybe abit of a combination of the two but more control
So im buying a used pc with no keyboard but then he offerd me his keyboard for 30$ is this one any good
K569
Hmm nothing amazing but $30 seems ok I’m not to familiar with the usd conversion rate tho. For a budget “gaming” keyboard I would say it’s a good option depending on what games you play ig
I checked some vids its a bit loud and big
I would rather get somthing more premium
its a keyboard
Fair enough, u using it for gaming?
Dude
Is this too good to be true
This keyboard for 30$ with free shiping
How?
im gonna take my shot whats the worst that could happen
well its a 65% thats why
Which ±€30-40 mechanical (gaming) keyboard would you recommend me? I live in Europe
thats not how you use plus or minus
rk61
i type heavy as fuck
when i type fast
and you can start hearing the pinging sound when i ramp up the speed
any tips to stop it
its mad annoyin
lube your switches
sounds like spring ping
if it’s case ping, fill case with something
it could also be spacebar ping
Taped the bottom
cut it
get a bigger desk
So expensive
let it hang off the back a lil
it wont be Super noticeable
ive got my monitor partially on my deskpad at my set up

Plspls

Horrible keyboard but at least it sounds okay now
I think you might like razer
Let's hear it.
Sound test?
Not at home rn
My first mod on any keyboard, I did foam and lube this time
nooooooooo

crying rn
But trust me on this. It doesn't sound the best, but its a whole lot better.
Lemme see if i have a rec somewhere

Don’t like layouts where the f row is squished together right above the num row

nothing better than being at a quiet office with blue switches

hi gas
Hi
how are you doing?
I am trying to figure out a pc build
can’t figure out if I want to buy a used 3090 or a new 6900xt
are you only gaming
hm
i mean, if you really want more performance go for the 3090 ig
but id go for the 6900xt
yeah
what gpu do you currently have?
ah, laptop
I should stop spending on keyboards
Added the final touch to my keeb to give it a subtle Marvel touch
what set is that
Really minimalistic
just replace them with blank keycaps and you've got yourselves a no-personality-keyboard
||Like me?||
dvorak users can't even make fun of you when they don't even know what layout it uses

wtf sure man
who up thocking rn
who up thocking they keyboard
Got myself a new Keyboard. Ducky One 2 RGB
who up clacking they clock
Huntsman TE doesn't do thocc
Not sure what keycaps i should get though. I need something that doesn't look horrible and is shinethrough
Looks cool
Also bought this a year ago
The letters are. So only the front of the keycaps
Oh I see.
Any suggestions?
My caps are getting shiny
Or rather
just WASD
get pbt
keycaps can get glossy?
yes
I'm a novice in keycaps, so best if someone else helps you with that
Razer's original PBT, by the way
especially abs
Yeah
but the PBTs on mine are going shiny
Too much gaming I'd assume
bad pbt also shine
Razer PBTs are disgusting
Just couldn't be bothered to change them, yet
Maybe something from Drop Keycaps
Depends tbh
and pbt
