We got any split ergo chads in here?
A few yeah
Hell yeah
https://vortexgear.store/products/multix not rgb but has nice color options , good board
The New Colorways ETA will be around Febuary,2023. Specifications: - Wired Version - Onboard Macro - N-Key Rollover - ANSI Layout - TKL Form Factor - Silicone Dampening Pad - O-ring Dampeners - Sound Absorbing Pad - Multi-layout Hot-Swap PCB ( 3 Pin And 5 Pin Supportable) - Cherry Profile PBT Double Shot Keyc
SK87 would work i think actually
A old mechanical keyboard
They didnt ask for qmk or via
Clean keycaps
Do nothing on the switches or the stabilizers!!
Its supposed to be and stay that way
U can foam mod or tape mod it
O ring mount
What a old keeb needs to keep his feeling and sounds right?
For new keybaord its a must tbh
But old keyboards just clack different without it
- the switches been used so much there wont be any scratchy sounds since the plastic tear down
Alps stabs just aren’t inherently shit like mx and don’t need that much tuning and copium
I see another keeb actual keeb enjoyer
No problem
Ehm no…
Those aren’t browns
Pfewww
Actually only neons would maybe go for that much at that quantity
Depends
Amber, brown and neons are the expensive ones
The rest are about a dollar a switch last I checked
Although that was like 2019
Uh huh
Oh lmao
Most mx switches that aren’t gat yellows seem overpriced to me so 🤷♂️
Zeal used the leaf spring concept from alps and tried to integrate it into an Mx design
It’s a good effort
But still not enough to replace alps
Probably
Haven’t tried them
hey, i might have accidentally ripped off the hotswap jack for the d key on my bakeneko60.. from my precursary attempts im unable to get it to work again.. is there a way to fix this? 😦
resoldering the socket
i cant figure out what it connects to, they are just connected to pads and i cant figure out what the conductive parts of it are. it doesn't seem to make a connection to any other particular part of the board or sockets either
You probably ripped out the pads along with the socket
Leave it and just jump directly from the switch pin to the pad trace
Well, even if you put away the fact that you need three switches to make bcp, the og creamstream is hard to find
(or you have to find something else but from my experience, pitch is always slightly different
Guys, is this Keyboard good?
It has Gateron Brown Switches
i have just gotten my first keychron keyboard bought v3 instead of v1
i have to say i really enjoy it
if you need a wireless you can get k series
if not you should get v series
if you want to pay more you can get q
but do not get c
Told ya you wouldn’t hate it
Keychron built good but I would have not gotten my q6 if I could do it over
only problem is i still keep getting weird beeping sounds when i restart my pc
if i press control or shift i hear beep or boop
and it locks my keys and it is like shift is being pressed down
i thought it was a keyboard problem but it is still happening
it sounds like some sort of interference
like each time i restart my pc control and shift make weird beeping sounds and if i mash them fast they stop
hey guys... looking for suggestions for full-size keyboards ... around 100 bucks.
so far, my choices are keychron c2 (wired) and k10 (wireless)... any suggestions or alternatives?
V6
Wait until the 15th
is there anything new to it or just a bigger layout
maybe i have some sort or interference on my motherboard for this beeping maybe should try reinstalling windows
i have some customization software but it seems it is not because of that
btw brown switches from keychron are pretty smooth also keycaps are not bad i heard many people say they dislike them
Same principle as Q series
All the same board, only differences are size
That's generally the case, metal costs a lot more
what the heck... how come v6 is cheaper than q6 or k10
he told you it is because of the case
i just restarted my pc and i hear beeping from keyboard again lol
tried posting on forums and no ones knows why
also it is like someone is holding down my control or shift when i try to type
the point of the v6 is literally to be a cheaper q6…
Try with another keyboard and see if it's still beep
It's plastic tray mount bruh
spilled ginger ale on my keyboard and it stopped working
so i absolutely drenched it with hot water and let it dry
works fine now, W
bro what 😭😭😭
Got this board
idk why
but i'll keep it, the underglow really looks sweet
thx discord
wanted a 60% anyways, so ye
anyone know some good xda keycap sets on amazon? also do they feel good? they look smooth asf
Yo does anyone know of a good white 75% keyboard?
looks like pc tofu indeed
looks sick
I'm asking this again, what is "thock"?
an excuse for people to spend 500 dollars on a 50 dollar device
Yo does anyone know of a good white 75% keyboard?
I’ll tell you again https://youtu.be/SodlXpa3qjg
Keyboard: Realforce 87U Tenkeyless 55g (White/Gray)
Switches: Topre
Lube: Thick lube from techkeys

ohhh i didn't know you replied to me
lemme watch
so it's like a type of noise?
Yes
hey!
no friendly fire

We got any colemak chads in here?
Nah
It's a mont60 r2
It's similar to a tofu tho, its tray mount and acrylic
But the case looks cooler
It has this "engraving"
Usually people use the term thock for a low pitched, deep sound profile. Clack is the opposite and usually means q highter pitched sound
Why would you buy this instead of a tofu
sir this is the keyboard channel
Are there tkl aluminium frame red switch keyboards with breathing chroma in 100 usd?
its looks a little "cooler"
at least the case
and is not as "standard" as a tofu yk
also, I got the whole build for 70€ 😂
tofu basic af
ye
500 USD on a tofu60 starts to be a lot 🤣
?
Oh wait it wasn't the same Convo anymore
👍
But thocc is indeed a meme
Any cheap board can sound like the "thocc" sound granted you choke it in foam
even my Havit cheap kB+mouse combo with 'blue-style switches'?
If you swap the switches and do some mods i guess, unless we don't have the same board in mind. Point is not all boards under the sun, but point is rather, you don't buy a 500 USD board only for thocc
Well i hope so
yeah I haven't even really tried changing my kB, I should probably because it hurts my ears without headphones
Hmm last video about keyboard content, what event was in Paris for Philips stuff ? (I'm ashamed that i didn't heard about it even though I live here)
check out my new keyswitches
where are they
Today I went to a store and tested mechanical keyboards, blue and red switches.
I honestly liked the blue switch's click.
People around you might not ha, but a lot of people start with blues
hm
Was it the sound or the click feeling itself you liked
both ig
Then yeah sounds perfect then, as long as you're not in shared office
okay
lot of people start with clicky and like the sound a lot ... until it really starts to get annoying
K2 came in and it’s my first mechanical. Very satisfying
Linears definitely the move
Glad you're enjoying it !
Very nice, enjoy 😁
Keychr
n
I have Q3 and Q1, not bad for price and you can find it in stock
Thought it's all budget stuff to me so 🤣

what do you mean by that?
they good quality ?
The ones on the prebuilts?
Mediocre
The standalone ones keychron sells are decent
I thought they were using the same ones
No
so it´s a different set for pre builts
Yeah
they look identical
yee q3 nice for the price
the older ones where meh, but the newer ones arent bad imo
the doubleshot pbt ones
i have some previous dyesub sets they sold before
lets say the quality is variable
a lot of people say they dislike them but they seem decent compared to most of others
but you can still get your own keycaps
I have a lot of keycaps sets from different vendors, imo not bad the current one
at least if same as the ones on k8 pro
sold it 1 month ago
Now i think i saw iso variants of Q3 and V1 so i can recommend for my friends who wants ISO-FR 😄
Is a Ducky One 2 still worth buying?
no
Is there any lists of keyboards reviewed or anything like that
care to elaborate?
List one thing going on for the one 2
if it's used for like 20$ then yes ... full price, totally not
A universal list?
No
(Or atleast as far as I know)
I know they are starting labs so I thought they may have some review lists.
There are a thousand on the web but not many from trust worthy sources
Like a top ten
I’d say at a certain price point everything becomes preference
Or best buy, best gaming, best overall
there is no best
Yeah to pick for myself is fine, but for my son it is a bit harder
At this point it's usually "just get a keychron" unless you want ergo in which case it's "just get an iris"
65% good enough for a 16year, playing basic games? I do too much spredsheets to not have a num pad
so you want a 65% but also want a numpad
wot
No I buying a keyboard for my kid for Christmas. I could choose my own no problem, I am trying to find something for him. There is a nice Keychron 65 that looks nice
I’m spooked
Excellent
That’s sweet
Got a budget?
Teenager probably won't miss a numpad but probably will miss arrow keys
I adapted real quick
meh, don't want to go crazy was thinking under 200
I missed my numpad
then I was going to grab a mouse at the same time
Ah
I was playing dcs and shit
so is that 200$ just for the keyboard
yeah
You could custom
okay cool
I buy 17" laptops just to keep the num pad
Yeah but like how many kids are playing dcs
Ark is the only time I really miss mine unless I'm doing sheets
you could do custom
Where arma 3
How i do ctrl alt h 9
I mean a keychron would give him some growing room
with a smile
how dare you throw someone down ergo hole like that
No
but quefrency is sold out afaik, just the solder pcb is in stock
unless max wants to solder that isn’t really an option
I'm doing gods work
Just get a charybdis
I prefer 75%, use the f keys as macros
Ok guys, so I want a tkl or 75% low profile mechanical keyboard for typing only (i have quitted gaming 2months ago). I'm not going to be focusing too much on modding the board but it should be hot swappable. price doesnt matter. Also i was thinking about the MX Mechanical Mini, what are ur opinions about this board?
oh yeah and getting a keychron is kinda hard for me, cuz im from germany... still u can recommend me some if there are any good keychron boards fitting for me
Check nuphy
If you want TKL: Keychron K1 / K1 SE
If you want 75%: K3 v2
@drifting falcon tofu65
for mouse maybe go for pulsar x2?
or lamzu atlantis
i think both solid options
I'd prefer the k3 v2, but do you think it is better than the logitech mx mechanical mini, even though it is already about 1 year old? Based on the price it doesnt really matter if i buy the k3v2 for 115 Euro in germany or the mx mechanical mini for 112 Euro. For me typing speed is everything, but i dont really have any experience on mechanical keyboard, so whats your opinion about those 2 and with of them is better?
wait

This is my review of the Keychron K3 low profile mechanical keyboard with white optical switches. I was super stoked to test this new keyboard, but I believe it has one major flaw you should know before buying. 😳
This...
When I heard about the MX Mechanical Mini, I didn't really bother checking it out. Another average low profile keyboard among others. However, I was wrong on one specific feature of this keyboard....

I watched the review of the Logitech one and it's not hot-swappable, so get the K3 v2.
yeah, thats true, but do you think it is worth it waiting for the Keychron K3 Pro Ultra-slim Low Profile QMK Custom Keyboard?
yeah
Tofu65?
Nah
Tofu Jr seems cool though
also if im not really planning on modding it? I mean surely at some point i wanna do it....
I think it’ll do you well without messing around with it
and if you plan to it’ll be a pleasant experience
plus qmk/via support is really nice
when will it release? and will it release with german layout
I’m unsure about if it will come in a German layout
Are you specifically looking for low profile?
yeah
for me typing fast is really important thats why i prefer low profile
i mean i have never really tried it... still using a shitty non mechanical keyboard
idk how low profile would make you faster
I use both a laptop and a mech board
Hover around 90-110 on each
i always used low profile and tried out normal in a store and it just felt pretty weird
im not used to the feeling
of a normal mech board
@glossy sandal but when is the Keychron K3 Pro Ultra-slim Low Profile QMK Custom Keyboard going to release and are you even gonna be able to buy it?
is it even worth it buying a keyboard now even though the Keychron K3 Pro Ultra-slim is going to release?
but is the date of the release known?
Keyboard: 60% Mechanical Keyboard
budget: $50-75 USD
For: work(3D artist, gaming, Quiet Keys when typing etc)
Color: Black or gray
thx
what does par mean?
they’re about the same quality wide
Isnt S1 alu tho
So are the K pros
but what are the differences than
Rather get barebone and mod it
@chrome raft get barebone version
And lube the stabs
that’s up to them
Get some good switches and nice keycaps u like
barebones are more expensive to build
I hate the keycron keycaps they put on them
I don’t
I know
That’s a preference thing
I mean the person who bought a V3 before here likes them
I don’t mind them
Though I hate centered legends
I bought a v2 barebone
Put some boba u4t, durockv2 and white pbt doubleshot keycaps in it

My pic is horrible
I really don’t like keychrons 65%s but looks good
And i did the cheapest mod ever to make the plastic squeaking over eachother
Its alright
Also have a nk65
Yh its not the most user friendly layout
They only sell the blue version
How is the “modified top mount”
Did you balance
For the v2?
For the nk
I can balance
The nk65 used what novelkeys calls modified top mount
Hmm
What does “modified top mount” do?
Sounds and feels like a normal tray mount
ah okay
Pcb is just mounted on the bottom case
pretty sure it’s just really long screws that screw through the entire case
Right?
I think so
Ill reopen it tmrw
yeah I don’t really like the nk65 for that reason
paying that price point for a glorified tray mount
I have a sparecase for it since i bougyt the oblivion version
Just waiting for pcbs to restck
I don’t usually mind tray mount when it’s cheap but it’s kind of a bummer to see at that price point
I paid 140 for 1 keeb with everything except caps and got another grey case with it
it comes with switches?
Yh
which ones?
silks are pretty cool
Thanks for answering some questions I have regarding the board
Could be better but u dont hear any scratching when pressing
interesting
Bit over lubed but overall decent
I had a nibble 65 aswell
But three keys werent working
is that the solder one?
It was a faulty pcb
ouch
Yh
It’s cool
7, arrow up, left alt and after a while Z key didnt work
I like the acrylic that exposes the pcb
I might have to pick up soldering tools and a murphpad soon
And they tried to give me 50% off a new nibble
Dont get the nibble tbh
that would be less than just sending a new pcb
Yh
yeah I was curious about it for a while
I didn’t really follow up with it though
next build will probably be a murphpad
I rather just get the 70 euro back that the kit costed since i had to buy a desolder gun which also got jammed
I have to decostruct the entire gun just to get rid of some solder in the shaft
atleast you have solder tools now
Cant push it out
Yh
My dad already had them
I wanted the jris65 tbh
Was too late with buying it
I’m pretty sure there’s some issues with qc on the jris rn
Now im looking for a 65% with a F row
aim for a qk75
so a 75%
Since i dont use the home buttons
I don’t really like compact layouts except for 65
Gasketmounted
They look clustered
if compact 75 wasn’t a parameter
I dont want extra space waisted on the right tbh
Qk75 all the way
Hmm
gb starts in a week or so
It isnt gasketmount was it?
Read a bit
it’s still gasket mounted
but the leaf springs are on the pcb
Traditional gasket mounting on the left, qk75 on the right
I’m just reading through qk discord
Hmm
How much euro is it?
135 usd - 200 usd
They havent set the price yet or?
Can u send the link of the site?

Group buy or?
Yeah it’s a gb
O so ill have to wait 6months for it to be here
The last qk gb was insanely fast
4-8 weeks
A buddy of mine who ordered one got it before that
Hmm idk man
how much is a decent keyboard nowadays?
around $700
lol
800 is where the good shits at
fr tho 200 is a decent budget
yeuh
Depends on what you find decent 😁
QK65 and Jiris65 are decent in my opinion, but then yeah if you go for esthetics prices rise up
And those are still budget/entry level options
Knob or no knob
Preference
If you want knob get knob if you dont dont
It’s default for volume but you can reprogram it to do other things
yes, preference.
If you're neutral, don't get it cause it tends to cost less. And you get a button you can normally reprogram in it's place
I'm a knob lover tho
Tyyy
does a keychron v1 feel as cheap as it is?
are there many 4x10 grid layout split keyboards?
id like to use it as a numpad when im using my tkl
It’s alright
doesn’t feel like absolute trash but not exactly premium either
it’s pretty standard feeling
It's plastic but solid
If you're looking for macropads they do exist
Or numpads
yeah but i also want it to function as an ortho split
Hmm i think I'd be weird if you want to use a grid as a split
No they exist but not as numpad, just the left and right sides of alphas essentially
ortho split
hello yes
i have been summoned
personally i am a bit of a keebio stan
Not exactly a grid, i thought he wanted a perfect grid 🤣
Because makes more sense to move slightly and angle a bit
I know it's not a grid lol, my point was to show splits are normally alphas as far as I know
Make sense, you have to use layers
Keychron K8
K1 if you want low profile, V3 if you want custom
Thanks man I'll check it out
you're welcome
If not I may go for a hyperx tkl
Looks nice
Hotswappable isn't too expensive either
yeah
K8 is kinda meh
Unless wireless is really important
I think that the V3 is better
K8 pro is decent because wireless but base K8 is pretty outdated
especially when side to side with V3
50-80$
Damn
60-90$ sorry
How is the base outdated like are there much better options for the price
The V3 is a fully customizable mechanical keyboard ready for any situation. It’s a great option to introduce you to the custom keyboard world. With its tenkeyless layout, QMK/VIA support, acoustic silicone pad, and double-shot PBT keycaps, the V3 is designed for ultra typing comfort and boost productivity.
Base looks better lol
the K series and V series are different btw
Oh right
there is the regular K8, non-backlight K8 and the K8 Pro
then get K1 or V3
(K1 is low profile and V3 is custom)
Pretty much
Also it’s like 100$
Don’t see why’d you get a K3 over a V3
Man
?
yeah
thinner keycaps
not as thin as laptop keyboard keycaps
but still thin
alright then the Keychron K1 is your best bet
Its a great keeb but u need o-rings for the case the plastic is squeaky
K8 pro not bad, but i guess V3 cheaper
See my message about k8 pro being pretty decent
Regular K8 is pretty meh though
Yee
Sold Q3 and K8 pro now, haven't tried V3 but from all the info i could see it's a good alternative
I’d say it’s about on equal footing to the K8 pro in terms of feel
V3 = K8 ? Not K8 pro ?
I didn’t specify
But uh
Yeah, decent board, packs a bunch of features for how cheap it is.
Yeah it's super cheap, worth your money compared to a big brand keeb😁
I haven’t touched a gamer board in years
I bought one of my friend’s broken razer to salvage the oranges from it
Razer oranges aren’t too shabby.
I have a g915tkl somewhere, i used it at some point because it's quite convenient to move around with it ? But my 60 are as convenient
My Corsair K95 Platinum is finally starting to die out (not really but the spacebar switch is) and decided to roll with an analog keyboard. Do I go all in with RealForce or something such as Wooting? Is the $100 increase to RealForce worth it?
Depends, the wooting has some of the smoothest linears on the market and the rf has arguably the best readily available tactiles
I also wouldn't buy realforces brand new
You can definitely do better for that price imo
Used market is far better value
Definitely prefer linear, that's what I have now are linear "speed" switches
Then get the wooting
There are a ton on yahoo auctions
Sweet
Where could I go to replace the single spacebar speed switch? I'll just watch a tutorial on how to do it
You need a soldering iron and solder sucker
Ah
fwiw, I got a wooting and thought it was cool for about a week lol
it definitely wasn't..intuitive to retrain the way I was doing things just to take advantage of the hall effect switches
You’re not obliged to use the extra features tho, could just use it like a regular contact based keyboard and you still get the inherent benefits of the switch
Nevermind, didn’t read analog. My bad.
damn 263usd for such a cheaplooking keyboard
you must be crazy
even analog or not
whats the best keyboard under $70
I don't think so
There's no best, what are your highest priorities in a keyboard?
So I have a battery in my keyboard and I was wondering if I should tape mod it
Usually not recommended
is there a reason not too with a battery?
Can trap heat when charging
ah
yea
Buying it when I get home only 50 buck
Has anyone actually had a fire from tape mod? Ive search unsuccessfully
Not only a fire risk, more heat degrade battery faster
Anyway up to you if you want to do it, I don't really care
Dont get anne pro 2 @twilit flare
Mb i forgot to say instead of normal tape I was going to use electrical
About the same
Hmm i dunno if something like 1 layer of painter tape should do fine ? I dunno how crammed it is in his keeb
60% or 100% for gaming?
Why not 80% (tkl)@exotic wigeon
You also have 65%, 75% and 96% (and 1800 that is slightly different to 96)
I've seen some games needing the F-row with default settings, but with a 60% you can do it all imo
TKL is a safe bet, especially if you are not comfortable with using layers
For 65 and 75% it's up to your liking and usage if the right shift
https://next.wooting.io/wooting-60he?drawer=0#faq what do u think
Well i haven't tried it, from the limited knowledge i have about it it's popular with OSU players and i suppose gamers ? The layout is correct for a 60 imo (i hate those with arrows)
I'm more into custom keyboards so I'm not that into gamer specific marketing
I'd say that from my personal experience, most people don't need more than 1000hz polling rate on keyboards, most custom keebs have nk rollover these days.
That's why on my previous answer i was more focused on making you think about the layout and how you prefer to use it
there's one thing that you would appreciate from the wooting hall effect and contactless switches in general
the smoothness improvement over contact switches where the slider rubbing against the leaf creating that friction
They improved the stabs so theyre ok now, still overpriced imo
They have some cool features but to me theyre gimmicks
Gaming marketing is pretty much gimmick to me in general
I'd recon that there are people actually taking advantage of it, at least in the Wooting keebs case
But most people won't
Yeah I know people who use them
But for me its useless, I can still play ow on gm level with a freaking membrane keeb so I just use my modded Q1
I mean it's a keyboard , as long it's not Bluetooth weird latency like it's highly probable that you won't notice 😁
Its also same thing for switch choices for gaming, i dunno why people keep saying linears are the best for gaming
When it's a preference thing, because again for most people having clickies, tactiles or linears same thing, just a matter of habits
Like at some point it was quite mainstream to have MX blues as a mech keyboard
Unless I'm wrong but people seemed fine with that
Yeah keebs are all preference imo
Thats why i like customs
You can make it feel exactly how you want
is there a windows app that I can use to separate single tapping Capslock and doing Caps+1/2/3/4 as different keys?
I want to map Caps+1 to change workspaces on windows but with AHK, it toggles Capslock and have not found a workaround
Please do not put electrical tape on your PCB it will absolutely be too sticky and could tear traces when removed. Only masking/painters tape
its kinda hard to tear off traces when its sitting under a glob of solder
Pretty sure they mean sockets
can you make a keyboard that type Unicode characters?
Are there any good mechanical 65% or bigger 2.4g keyboards in 80 usd?
i thought that was a butcher knife keyboard build for a sec lol
Royal kludge maybe
Does this look legit? I wanna get Yellow Switches: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/203649759298?_trkparms=amclksrc%3DITM%26aid%3D111001%26algo%3DREC.SEED%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D20180816085401%26meid%3D95f0eb501b0240688a4b256764716675%26pid%3D100970%26rk%3D1%26rkt%3D2%26sd%3D203649759298%26itm%3D203649759298%26pmt%3D1%26noa%3D1%26pg%3D2380057%26brand%3DUnbranded&_trksid=p2380057.c100970.m5481&_trkparms=pageci%3Abe042794-66aa-11ed-a5bb-0ab0c11af629|parentrq%3A86faf1681840aa7027dea60affffc842|iid%3A1 (I've done nothing with keyboards before btw)
Try to sanitize your links when posting, like this https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/203649759298?
The rest are just trackers
But anyways these are the optical version, I don't think they'd be compatible unless you know you have optical keyboard
I tried to use bitly but got the message deleted
It's the GK61 I'm using currently and that I want the switches for.
No i just mean erasing everything not needed
Oh that's optical then yeah
Do you think it's legit, just want to double check.
I mean they only have two reviews, I personally wouldn't go for that
Why u buying from ebay?
Switches can be found not second hand
They don't even seem to list how many switches, I could be blind though
There's some on amazon https://www.amazon.com/Gateron-Optical-switches-Switches-Keyboard/dp/B093GHLYSR?th=1
Or aliexpress for cheaper if you're fine with waiting longer https://www.aliexpress.us/item/1005003367811148.html?gatewayAdapt=glo2usa4itemAdapt&_randl_shipto=UK
Parameter: Optical Blue --Tactile clicky feeling, acuation weight is around 55±15gf,actuation distance is around 2.3mm Optical Black--Linear switches, actuation weight is around 60±15gf Optical Red--Linear switches, actuation weight is around 45±15gf Optical Brown--Tactile unclicky feeling, acuation ...
Probably getting the Amazon ones then, thanks for the help.
Yeah, the seller didn't list any amount at all, was not going to buy from them.
Rapid trigger isn’t a gimmick, it’s actually really useful in source games like CSGO/Apex and Valorant
Right but only people who are already skilled could notice even a few more wins from that. Problem is people think those features will make them better
Sure but it’s not a gimmick like RGB
Analog is kind of a gimmick just because not many games support dual input like that
Granted fortnite is an exception where analog is actually a straight up advantage
ok so no tape mod ig
your keyboard looks like a butcher knife
oh wait it actually does
hey keyboard folks i killed my keyboard, k70 rgb with red switches, any tips on keyboard i might like? can abuse black friday sales while i fix it
kinda need a keyboard this weekend. Theres a store near me that carries Razer BlackWidow V3 Yellows and Logitech G512 Brown for 66% off... good choices?
Leaning towards the Razer BlackWidow V3 as a temp keyboard cuz of the volume wheel... kinda addicted to it
also thoughts on Corsair K70 Pro OPX RGB? can't see it go wrong for someone that likes the K70 red
hmm didnt know there were such latency differences, i guess ill have to try the OPX then
"like going from 60hz monitor to 144" first vid i saw on optical switches lol
Hmmm, i dunno about that being similar to from 60 to 144
Cap
Based
Optical switches are unplayable tbh
Too quick
But on 60hz u rather get a 144hz+ screen
Yeah just marketing talk, optical switches tens to be avoided actually since it means less upgradeability and they tend to have more issues
To me sounds like having 300hp to go on right roads with limited speed at 60kmh and having 600hp, there is no point to it
Other than marketing and it's less reliable
From a repairability stand point it's even worse since if you have an issue with the optical part of the PCB you throw it. When well a switch goes bad on a classic mech keen you replace it by desoldering two things
contact based cope
does anyone have any recommendations for 60% keyboards that are good for gaming but also look/sound good?
no problem 👍
hhkb 👍
👍
I guess keychron Q4 fits in tbe budget
QK60 would be nice but you need switches and keycaps for it
thank you!
i checked it out and it sounds great
Gud
Space65 III: gat ink black v2 (deskey films, 205g0), Owlabs v2 stabs (205g0, XHT-BDZ), all foams, PE foam, FR4 plate, PBT Notion caps
Link65: Wuque Studio's Original Aspiration switches (deskey films, 205g0), Owlabs v1 stabs (205g0, XHT-BDZ), FR4 plate, white base foam, white case foam, , PE foam, black plate foam
Space65 III sound test:
Link65 sound test:
Link65 flex:
Haha
Ah yes space65 sounds good
I personally don't like the link65
Plus it's too flexy
I love them both. You can stiffen up the link65 though
I tried a space65 the other day and spacebar was good
I used all the black foams and it was way stiffer
Mecha-01 colorway
I mean to me it's still all 65% so not my thing but space65 very nice
Almost went into R3 gb this year
so like i can live in the attic yk just like i can clean
uh
I'm goad I did. Looks like 3rd party is gonna be hella expensive for it
I don't plan to buy it though, but since market is a bit ded I'm sure it's manageable
About $700-800 USD now I think
680usd on mm I see
Some stuff sold for 650
I guess market is around 700
Not my priority anyway 🤣
Do you plan to get different key caps ?
I saw a burgundy one on eBay for $750
And yes, I am getting new caps soon. I have some other priorities to handle first.
I accidentally bought a 60% board. Wish I didn't cuz I would have jumped on the Corsa from them
Just watch out for the ESD circuitry design flaw on the Space65 R3 quite a few people have shocked and killed theirs already.
They aren't protecting the data lines, resulting in the MCU getting row/columns killed
I heard. I don't have static issues in my house, even in the winter
There are no accident
Skill issue
What did you buy ?
I initially was planning on getting two Corsa but took only one so I could buy the Riva (a keeb I tried in a German meetup earlier this month)
Also bought a wkl Noah 🫡
I bought into the Minerva group buy. I wasn't paying attention when I saw the layout, the extra row of keys made me think it was a 65%. But really it's a 60%, but with a column of macro's on the right. I'll probably still build it and keep it, I just wont ever use it.
It's a really gorgeous polycarb keyboard
Oh right the Minerva
anyone got some experience with the corsair k60?
or anyone have some recommendations for keyboards at around 100 euros?
for both typing and gaming?
Keychron v4
Or depending on what layout you want V other number
ight
I rly like the small key travel of my iPad and laptops keyboards, any ideas? I do kinda want rgb and also 100%
low profile?
Keychron K5 would be a good option but it's 109 bucks
and the K5 SE is 104
Y'all love keychrons
I thought about the keyboard you said and I'ma just go with the Anne pro 2
There's better boards that come out but then tend to be group buys, keychrons fit most people's needs at good prices and are actually in stock lol

Bro what
I need a smaller keyboard
Get a V4
Keychron?
Yuh
80 bucks
you’re getting what you pay for
:(
Anne pro 2 is like 90$ last I checked
We must be using different amazons
I'll send link if you want
I don’t want an Anne pro 2
Ik
You sure you’re not looking at a renewed one
It must've been a black Friday sale I don't see it anymore
Wdym
Happy Tapping
It’s not going to be instores..
Wtf
ok I didn't know
And tbh all microcenter has where I live is razer, Logitech, and hyperx
Some microcenters sell gmmk but I wouldn’t quite recommend that either
mediocre boards, shitty company
Is Amazon a good retailer for them
yeah that’ll work
Kk
Yeah I'll have to sit through 5 switch test videos to figure out which one I'm comfortable with
Do you just want me to break it down for you
Big agree, keychron quality will be much better quality and experience. And if it's not up to your standard you can upgrade it cause it's hot swap unlike anne pro
oml
Anne pro is outdated asf
Get some new keycaps mah boy
Nah just need qax
that’s next
the legend is soft asf
in a bad way
Are they shine through?
yes, all of those are good, but i'd get the V1
because of the quality while being cheaper than the other options?
or another reason?
yeah i guess
it's 84 bucks
and the others are like 100+
nice
i personally wouldn't pay 100+ dollars on a keyboard
I disagree but it's probably best to not go down the rabbit hole lol
Cream switches pro?
Q1 is pretty nice
You playing Tetris?
Have you seen the Lego keyboard
Pixel?
Ye
The pixel from melgeek
Google pixel
W keyboard
It’s a gimmicky board
Free legos

Only gimmick I really care about rn is the moondrop keyboard
dac/amp in a keyboard, kinda rad.

the video looked like you were with the keycaps lol
hey i have issues ok that’s not fair
Moondrop keyboard looks hot asf
We all do
I gotta check that iut
I have a tophat issue ngl

browns
Today we are taking a look at the Moondrop Dash. The two worlds of keyboards and audio collide to bring you a Hifi Keyboard. Honestly, this board took me by surprise, and I was quite impressed.

It's satisfying

Cap
Therapy keycaps
Lol your therapist gives you a bag of keycaps
I've found a lot of keyboard typing to be very therapeutic
I like the sounds
Too easy
My mushy membrane keyboard makes me tired
Lol
I need to clean my switches and my keyboard
Same
based
But all I have is Clorox wipes
It makes me hungry I almost ate the roll
They smell so good
Clorox flavored snack
Why does that not exist
Ikr
I might become those crackheads who have a box of crayons to smell in the back of their vans
Sharpies are strong
Hits you hard
But if you inhale to hard it will burn your nose
I struggle with that
Ong
Nose gets too close
they're haters
Cap
I might do that lol
A keycap for my escape key
But it might ruin the rest of the look
Get the pc looking one
