one of the reasons I really hate Corsair keyboards, maybe they're better these days (or some of them), idk
that’s weird, I’ll check some stuff later if I remember
I've never had any double typed letters on brown switches that I can recall
I've had cherry, gateron, akko, and roselias double click
also not on these Gatreon Lynx switches, not so far anyway
which types though? red? brown?
My phone keeps wanting to autocorrect tactile to tactical what the fuck
Linear tactile and clicky
All doubles click
tactical switches! let's get ourselves some tactical switches!
actually, just now managed to have two registration of a letter 😮
idk how or why, maybe it was just me not being used to these linear switches
Keychron, Corsair, Logitech, gamakay, glorious for the PCBs
Like sometimes I just get a triple y
hmm weird, don't think I've ever experienced it on tactile or clicky switches
from what I read it could have something to do with how the switches are seated
tried messing with how long you have to hold it down before it starts adding more of the letter?
Not making full contact with the pcb
I did that on one of my keyboards, and it made that double type issue go away
I've had it in hot swap and soldered
yeah, I've had it in soldered mostly (or only)
sometimes I believe it's just a result of me being too slow, and expecting a little bump (like in tactile switches)
I have a Corsair K63 with Cherry MX Red switches, and that is particularly difficult to avoid double typing keys on iirc
My keychrons with akkos are pretty bad
I had a CoolerMaster something something with brown switches, where I could adjust the delay it takes before it starts spamming a key once I hold it down
Idk if it's the switches or the PCBs at this point, since they're the same on both boards
it can probably be either or both 😛
or it can be you not releasing quick enough
manufacturing flaw in your batch?
yeah after reading a bit
hard to say, mix of one or more of those maybe?
Could be either or
Maybe but it doesn't happen on my k100 lol
And I don't think I type differently on that
what type is k100? mx red?
Optical
ahh, well how long do you have to hold down a key before it starts spamming them?
Uh
on my Keychron Q3, I have to hold it down a significant amount of time
if you can get an accurate measurement of that, you might have something more to go on when it comes to this double typing issue
could very well be user error lol
try some heavy mechanical switches? tactile and heavy
like my fingers leave the keys as soon as I bottomout
(my brain just corrected tactile to tactical, oh no, what did we do!
)
sometimes just even actuating
I do short bursty typing. I slam on the keys and let up pretty quick
yeah, my "tactile bump" is when I bottom out the switch with these Lynx ones 😛 so I leave the key just then
I wouldn’t trust Corsair much with keyboard stuff
Or like any off the shelve board really
Like I'm not holding a key down long enough for 3 actuations lol
I really liked my CoolerMaster keyboards (with brown switches)
I stopped buying anything other than brown switches
why not try other light tactiles?
(back when I used to shop keyboards, it was usually a pick between linear, clicky, or tactile - so red, blue, or brown)
Oh technically the term in key chatter for keyboards
key chatter = double typing? or what we referred to as double typing?
I think
yeah pretty much
3 actuations seems a little excessive yeah, even if you're 70 and never used a computer before
When it registers more than like once
Yes
you need to fall asleep on the key at that point
Lmao my b on the term
I mean if you hold a key more than like a second it’ll start registering more keys
But keychatter can happen with faulty switches
And solder
People usually do something stupid to their switches i.e lubing them with something they’re not supposed to
Which is why I don't think I've had it with optical PCBs
also could happen if you don’t clean your board regularly
It happened on my Q3 out of the box
But the keychron switches and the akkos are preluded
So no variables to eliminate there
You can usually just up the denounce and it’ll solve the issue
It’s never been an issue for me, I’m not sure..
hence why I suggested messing with the activation time for repeating keypresses
idk how that's done on most keyboards, but with QMK/VIA, it's probably trivial?
doesn't happen on my Q3 😮
yeah might be because Akko pins are thinner and going into kailh sockets
I have some gatreon brown switches for everything but the letters, and Gatreon Lynx Lubed switches for the letters
The akkos are worse for chatter than the gats were
Wish keychron would offer a heavy linear on the custom boards
can't you just buy barebones and get some that are heavy?
They’re amazing
I mean, the switches + keycaps for $20 are totally worth it as spares
yeah that’s true
Just wish they offered blacks instead of reds
gateron g pro switches are decent
Never liked red style switches
They’re following cherry with blue, brown and red
I personally would prefer if they did heavier tactiles but that’s just me
That too
they have barebones though, probably exactly for this reason 😛
I never bought a prebuilt lol
Fell down the rabbit hole without getting into membranes
They added more keycap color options to the customs, so hopefully more switch options are coming
doubt
F
how do akko switches compare to cherry based on color
i can see what red is but what is purple
its a tactile
its quiet
when i say tactile it automatically implies its not clicky
unless i specifically mention its clicky
Blue are clicky and have a tactile bump
Clicky and tactile are not the same category of switches
Even tho clicky have a tactile bump they are called clicky and not "tactile with a click"
you mean click as sound or click as fee
i like the feell of it just not the sound
so what tactile is tatile and tactile is clicky and tactile
boy those are weird names for them but sure
hard to find tactile without a click
especially looking for all black or black and red keyboard
tactile means the clicky feel, but not the sound
youre making this hard for yourself
there are 3 major feels of switches, that is linear, tactile and clicky
when people say tactile, they mean ONLY the feel
when people say clicky, they mean the sound
yea tactile are like bronw and clicky are like blue
i would call them loud and quiet clicky
but why are all keyboard they make usually either orange or blue
i cannot seemm to find any back
i mean not any i come across is just blackk
i hate current one missing out letters
?
looking for a mechanical keyboard with tactile switches
i would prefer if it is in black
thank you for the links but i am from eu
and i am looking at someting for like 100eur max 150eur
buy used
we have a high import tax on unlicensed or without a certificate items over border i would probably rather buy something like keychron or akko
but it is reallly hard to find any kind of a minimalistic without orange or blue
i dont think it matters you cant see the switches without lifting the caps
@royal patrol found it
@loud nova in case you also wanted to see it
goddamn
bro is him
he’s the guy
who
mans needs to touch grass
he has a falco thats covered in fake grass
sad
tbh he probably has a lawn bigger than most
having a lawn doesn't mean he touches grass though
true....
Well that would be wrong to call them that
why is that not like the main difference
maybe it is just me but blue and brown feel the same to me with headphones on
Cause one has mechanism to make the click sound and the other don't
hello guys i have this sk68 keyboard and i wanna take a ss
for that i have to press windows and ps
but the keybaord has ps on the letter U and it dosnt screenshot
what do i do ?
when i press fn it locks the window button
when i press windows fn and u it keeps pressing 4 for some reason
win shift s
oh it works thanks ❤️
Fn+u
What’s the most I should pay for this
Seller is asking for like $320
That’s his lowest
god damn
Hey can anyone recommend me a customizable RGB keyboard on Amazon?
def not worth
ciy X77, keychron V1
There’s some others but they’re not really worth listing
magic keyboard W
I’m looking for key caps for my razor huntsman elite, and I’m new to this. Is there a place I can find these with an amount of variety? Or, is there a term or identifier I can use to search for them?
avoid cherry profile keycaps
maybe I can help you pick some out
since like 98% of keycaps are made for mx style stems
Keychron k4 96% a good starter?
Nope
I’m just looking for something that looks cool and works well (last keyboard for a while type thing)
And yes, blue
Really?
I’ve tried this one personally, loved it
119$
not really, people ask for a lot more for less lmao
Yeah, I’m not looking for perfection
I want a full custom keyboard for 35$ max kind of things we see
Nooo?
can I get a full alu cnc tkl with a 3 kg weight for 40$
(has to thock)
yeah stuff like that
this is really solid though @cyan tree
alu and thock ...
I would take it any day over a keychron 1800 (k series)
Ok, Ima look at that
maybe varmilo
I don’t really like varmilo
their keycaps feel thin and cheap
Leopolds are on the thinner side but are really solid for prebuilts
varmilo has beautiful color diversity
I guess they have that going for them
Akko has neat colorways, but no blanks 😦
Ok, I think I’ll stick with the one I picked, because I do need a numpad
akko has clear keycaps tho
Thanks for all your help guys!
Still need color! Just sans legends
oh man, brought my Q3 build to work yesterday as well as my Ducky One2 TKL, and now that I left my Q3 at home, and am stuck with One2 at work
until yesterday or day before I thought One2 was actually one of the better keyboards I've ever used
but now, not so much
I need a good 65 percent keyboard for gaming that's really good but budget friendly say 45 dollars to 90
help me enthusiasts
keychron maybe
hmm
alr
I'll check em out do you have a suggested model
this you have to pick on your own
tactile
does it make a diff
yes
how
your typing experience depends on it
I'd say I'm a new typer
im thinking i might want to build my own keyboard but idk where to start;-; anyone got any good videos or advice? LTT forum pages?
lemme see
thanks
*hipyo looses 10thousand subscribers daily due to this comment
depends what youre getting into
most yt videos are trash
well there goes my 8hrs of watch time😔
unfortunately its true
no
hmm
most of the videos are trash in a way that its just to flex, not learn about it
there are only so many videos i recommend people watching for keyboard things
you search "keyboard building guide" half of them are click baiting and out of date
do you guys know where it is the best place to buy keychron epomaker akko in europe
amazon is mostly out of stack and i cannot order from us
can i put my typing speed test results here
no
little bits of my keyboard
the akko german site
Well, I wouldn't say foam and lubing are bad per se. I'm a total newbie to building or rather nodding and both had a significant impact on how my keyboard feels. But I agree that a lot of so called guides are more about flexing than actually teaching something. Hipyo in particular doesn't seem to do anything helpful in his videos, but rather just talk shit about...basically everything. Comes off as kinda arrogant.
I don't watch much keyboard video now ... and even less sound test cause those are pretty much useless
any recommendation which would be best out of keychron epomaker akko for like around 80-90eur and 110-120eur
looking for tacticle not clicky with low pressure and 75% or 70% preferably all black
In that price bracket they are about the same quality
You're looking for something like cherry brown or outemu brown switches most likely ... akko tactile are a bit heavier than cherry brown so I don't think it fit the low pressure requirement
interesting i was looking at this one
i was also looking at leopold and keychron with gateron but there is no v1 only k2
Germany ? 19% taxes sounds German
well that's even worst then
what costs 100 in us costs 200 here at least hahah
rip
used 2080 costs 1000 eur in slovenia
tech is so expensive here
i sold my old 1050 for 300
and bought 1080 for 450
no way to get affordable rtx here
i saw a 2060 12gb on anni for 450€
what about pink and purple
i hear they are pretty soft idk
do you think any of these are worth it
most are out of stock
thinking if i should buy any of these there
all i seem to find
Some decent gear atlast
Is mine good?
My first ever mechanical keyboard build! Watch as I try to figure out how to install/uninstall switches and keycaps for the first time, customize my new board and do sound tests before and after. I didn’t assemble the board itself, but instead used the ilovbee i61 mechanical keyboard as a base and went from there. Im very new to the world of mec...
Thought y’all might appreciate this!
cat
are you having a conversation with yourself?
why the fuck did they delete their message lmao
they said "why don't you just get a media keyboard?"
wouldn't the bot delete it instantly?
yes but it sometimes del 2
lots of keyboard have media key you can access with fn+something
most if not all enthusiast board I know have
yeah I might just buy one with the fn thing instead of the actual button
there is a few with media keys but I don't like them
I hate the low profile keys
logitech board are not that recommended anyway
unless you have everything logitech and are tied to ghub ... that's about the only reason to go with a logitech keyboard
I have a logitech mouse and headphones but that's it
and then again I would advise against it
well I would not get logitech headset either
nah ... logitech, and most gaming companies, don't make good sounding headset
I mean I've used this for 2 years and I've had no issues with it
not talking about issue there ... saying that they just don't sound good, not that the sound will be distorted and such
You can just program a board for media keys
I personally use fn+h for vol up, fn+g vol down, fn+f for mute
fn+d/fn+s for skip reverse
I never use media key
yo @glossy sandal
hihi
what brings you here?
💀
Alright keyboard people, my friend is looking for the smallest form factor keyboard but still having a dedicated function row.
Extra information, he's using optical switches
Oh he probably wont build one, I wont bother suggesting it to him
75%
Or 60/65% XT
Perfect, I'll relay that to him
both
thinking of getting akko orange
it is not hot swappable right worried if i get a dead switch
if it's dead on arrival just return it
you can always desolder and replace a switch
true well shipping costs like hell here
hate sending back and forth
have you tried akko switches
but wireless is hot swappable where is logic there
Left or Right cable?
Black Paracord with Carbon Techflex
Metallic Paracord with Black Techflex
The metallic cable does have a unique light refraction effect from the RGB in the crown molding above. The darker carbon does look clean though, hard decision.

Yes i have some
whatre yalls thoughts on having a numberpad on your keyboard? I personally love it but it seems like more highend keyboards are doing away with them
It’s good to be there but i dont use it so TKL or smaller is ❤️
Same, I love playing with numbers and using pin pad log ins
seems like a massive skill issue, not having read the keyboard manual
and not everyone use KVM
^
do that i raise to you
theyre nice but if you just get an external one if you're anxious about a high end board not having one
aside from keychron there's really not much choice for high end keyboards with built-in numpads
or if they is, it's fucking expensive
I love using a numpad, but full sized keyboards are massive so
and hard to find
wouldn't mind shelling out a bit for an external one lol
would you prefer them less or more than cherry and gateron
i really liked they akko tokyo tour but i think i will wait a little if they put hot swappable back into stock if i am already buying it
Hello everyone, how are you, I need help modifying some buttons on my keyboard and mouse, as you can see my external keyboard came with a different layout than the laptop keyboard one , so I want to replace the Windows button with a control button, and I want to replace this strange button with a function button, I also want to take advantage of my mouse side buttons, So what is the best application that I can reassign both mouse and keyboard buttons together.
they are way better than any cherry I've tried
haven't tried many gateron ... yellow and red I think ... the akko I have are way better than those gateron I tried
interesting trying to decide between akko orange and akko pink
those I haven't tried
pink is like red and orange is like brown
i also see lavender is pretty popular
they are selling it in those
they’re good
i have them on my rk84 and they’re pretty good
nice many i see mostly sell only orange and pink
interesting well i saw many people like it compare them to brown
pretty sure the tactile bump is more pronounce than brown
i have been using cherry brown for like 11 or 12 years
there’s barely a tactile bump as well
i was thinking of changing but i tried blue they were too loud and red had no bump
compared to the lavender purples, you can barely feel the bump
kailh brown have a nice tactility
hmmmm
cherry brown then
yeah
also high action would be nice for response
why do so many people hate cherry brown
all the groups i talk in they shit on them
so you want light spring but high tactile feeling?
yet i see they are most popular ones
i like tactile click and like high action like it gets detected fast and low pressure easy to press well soft
they are popular only because companies still use them and most people think that cherry is still the golden standard
i am not looking for brown i am just looking for tactile like brown
yep
i like to feel a click but not hear it
i like to type on blue but i hate hearing it
agreed
i like click but i hate high pitch click
cherry brown suck cause they are barely tactile, they feel like a red with sand in them ... and if you can notice the bump, the rest of the travel feel scratchy anyway
i would like more low pitch click
you don't feel a click, you feel a tactile bump
more like old ibm that those new high pitch blue gaming ones
you can get kailh silent box browns
well bump feels like a click
idk i just like that resistance when i feel like i pressed not pushed
click is a sound
idk for me it seems like loud and silent click
click always seemed to me like pressing a button rather than sound i could be wrong
click is a sound
well people always say click a button
i had outemu blues on my first mechanical
biggest regret i’ve made
idk i heard many people say it
interesting why is that i am not a fan of them either
overall so far
well there are just tactile clicky linear so that leaves linear and tactile right
tactile switches are my favorite
yes
do words even matter
this is why i say colors rather
you can't have a clicky switch that is also silent in the way that it doesn't make sound
in many languages there is only click
cause clicky make sound
we have a same word for click and press also tactile
i did try to get into red but it felt like a controler
not really because it is not about sound but an action
we have click as a name for action not a sound
linear is not a word for sound then why call them clicky
then you should call linear ones silent
then you would have to call them silent or muted
silent are silent
linear describe what the switch is ...
why call some for name and others for function
then you should call all based on function
silent is silent ... linear are not silent
why call some based on sound and others based on function
why does this even matter
they are called based on what they are ...
they are just names people decided completely irrelevant
it would be more productive calling them on serial numbers or colors
this is why i tend to call them based on colors
and yet those names are important cause when you call them something else nobody knows what you are talking abou
because people keep attacking me based on words
i did say i am looking for brown
which would mean i am looking for ones with a tactile feature on
yes those are tactile
i know what they are called i am just used to call them clicky in my language we call them clicky silenc and clicky loud
because we tend to call them based on features rather tahn sound
but youre using english
when you call them clicky silent it's not a feature ... it's a sound
and what do you get if you fix grammar
so a bit contradicting
we call them based on feature our word for click means action not sound
we have a different word we use for sound
if you remove the sound part from the way you call them you're left with both are clicky
you including clicky on both it makes it irrelevant in terms of feature
well tactile don't click tho ... they don't have mechanism to do so
its a bump
no we call bump or tactile clicky and then we say it is loud click or silent click
yes but bump is called click in my language
so its based on sound
no we have another word for sound
ok but we're using english
no.... you just said click with sound or clicky without sound
cause it gets confusing
im not sure where this leads to
i did tell you i am looking for brown this should be obvious
and then people don't know what you want
so tactiles
yes
and?
wat
well i was just asking for keyboard above if anyone tried those orange ones i hear people like them
akko
orange
I can't say without looking at force graph
you can google the switch see some reviews
but most likely its impossible to tell how it feels without actually using it
indeed
looks like a B bump
do all brown feel scratchy i heard people say
i am using redragon cheap brown but they feel decent
overall I'm pretty sure they will fell like a scratchier lavender purple
interesting thx i have never tried i only tried cherry
yes if unlubed
vintage cherry brown don't feel scratchy ... but you mostly don't feel the tactile bump on them
lavender purples
do you know if any of those would be good
i would lube them but this keyboard is not hot swappable
browns have the chalky scratchy feel all cherries have
does anyone know any good 75% keyboards that have
fn + for media stuff
and backlit
wdym
look for keyboard with qmk /+ via
they let you remap keyboards
rk84?
well any keyboard i check is usually not hot swappable that i could open lube change
unless you spray lube, you wont be able to lube them
should i buy unlubed and keep it or search for prelubed or hot swappable one
most of hot swappable ones are out of stock
just looking for 75% mechanical keyboard for around 150 eur preferably in black
do you have a keyboard right now?
do you know if there's a UK layout of it?
ISO layouts
yeah iso my bad
yes membrane and brown redragon
its pretty much impossible unless you buy crappy membranes or super high end ones
yes on official website i think so
their isnt a big market for ISOs
but look for it
thx any with functional keys
I'm just used to ISO layout tbh it's honestly way better imo
i mean the ones above the numbers
75%
fn + number
this is why i am looking for a new keyboard
it's the one right beside the first I sent
save up if you really wanna get into the mechanical keyboard community for real, your options really open up with more money
but its a rabbit hole
thx this one looks great
or wait for that to be back in stock
yes i was looking for this before
yesterday they sold last one
i had it in my cart already
i can buy a keyboard for 3k hell even 5k if i want to but problem is i do not feel it is worth it
good 4 u
thx i was gonna buy that pc75b but it got out of stock the other ones i am not a biggest fan of the color but i like when f keys are closer rather than spaced out
those are just keycaps
You can get realforces in iso
you can buy keycaps later
you literally sent this chart
and then you ask the same question again
i know i mean what is the difference in quality
read the chart bro
None
i am asking if anyone has them at home
Just different feel
i have the jelly purple
diff weight, bump whatev
i know from the chart i just mean how they are in person
all akko switches will have the same quality
wont know until you try
If you want switch quality just buy a realforce
i know this si why i asked if anyone knew i know lavender are softer than orange
if its lighter than yes
are realforce not a lot more expensive
lavender purple will feel about the same as orange
jelly purple are heavier than lavender purple
i think that was a joke because the ISO version of realforces discontinued a while back
Yes and also better
i saw realforce for 300 but nah i would rather buy this one for 100 i am not that much into keyboards i currently use redragon and logitech
Buy one used
used realforce are incredibly hard to find here for a decent price
we have no ebay in slovenia it is banned they take it on border and burn it if it has no certificate
i am very careful with keyboard will they not come greasy
Oh sad
hhkb is what I would like the most but again they are really hard to find used around here
they usually goes for close to the price of a brand new one
not when they arrives here
Import tax huh
Shouldn't really be a problem no? Since the forwarder can underdeclare
Works for me 🤷♂️
they probably don't check about that where you are as much as they do here
well where do you get a chinese hhkb ?
ali express ?
taobao ?
well I just checked on ebay and it end up being about 300 $
for that price I'll just buy brand new
i dont think so
just a general question
is glube is fine but lubing your switches, or should i wait to buy krytox 205g0?
I suggest browners
wait what
Never used glube so I can't say
It’s a bit thick for switches, maybe use it for stabs?
Glube is thicker than 205g0 ?
why do the gateron browns feel so light?
Cause they are made to be similar to cherry brown which are also really light
do you think jwk t1s are a good upgrade
No idea, never tried them
also why do they feel lighter then romergs even though it needs more force
No idea, never tried romer g
oh ok
yeah
consistency is like leaning towards dielectric though a tiny bit thinner
wouldn't recommend
Eww no indeed
yeah rn, im gonna buy 205g0 from kinetic labs
7.5ml
im gonna relube the stock stabs and lube the lavender purples
For tactile people suggest to get a thinner lube usually ... like the trybosis 3203
But 205g0 will do fine if you don't use too much on the switch imo
ok, I want a wireless TKL with brown switches, and addressable RGB when on wireless.
Full size might also work
I currently am using a Keychron K8
bluetooth would be easy, but happy enough for dongle
Bluetooth suck in terms of latency
Check other keychron keyboard or akko
Also why brown ?
Like brown as on cherry brown or as in tactile ?
cherry brown (or equiv)
yeah I'm just not clear on the wireless RGB support
because my current keyboard is fine, other than that
Wireless rgb will just drain the battery way faster
I absolutely do not care 🙂
But my akko board have wireless rgb and it works well
plus, I have wireless charging as well.
So you just plug more often the keyboard and put more cycle on the battery just for rgb
"just" for RGB is how I roll.
Way too much rgb for me
Every kids dream
I game, I manage with bluetooth.
I'm 41 😄
As a rule it's about 20 in here.
That’s pretty good
I mean, there's two 360 rads and 9 fans 🙂 and that's idle
Id be confused if it was under load
under load it can be as low as 38 though
but mousekeys over bt suuuuuuuucks
... I just use a mouse.
Ive never had a problem with Bluetooth
i have a mouse
I still use my logitech m171 from like 5 years ago
i just needed to service it
I have many mice 🙂 I'd just get a spare one.
i think i have a g600
I have 8 of the same mouse lmao
oh true
Im used to the m171 and it works for me
im not used to having so many computers
I have a corsair rgb dark core pro se rgb or whatever it is, looking to replace with logitech G502X plus
I just ordered long distance Qi chargers that can go under my desk for wireless charging for KB and mouse
i want a bt mouse for moving around
yeah that's why I have MXM3
any good roccat ones?
probably
hmm, i think I'd rather use Logitech
I didn't get a G502, because I'm not buying micro B devices for >$100 in 2022.
though i don't see mxm3 as supported on my software
master 2/2s are though
might get an anywhere since it's more for compact
egh might have to wait for something usbc to be supported
though I'll check out anywhere and master 3
lol mouse keys don't work on Android
Micro b should be illegal
speaking of things that should be illegal and micro b, disposable lipo batteries
Anyone have any good sources to buy custom keyboard stuff from that’s good for Europe?
Very limited options in Norway, and Drop, KBDFans etc all ship from US I believe
i think certain vape pen type things i keep finding AS LITTER
Yeah there are plenty of European vendors :) check out the european vendor list at https://www.mechmap.tech/
There are some vendors in norway, but they can be pretty overpriced
yeah, I've ordered from MaxGaming, they're not that insanely priced usually, and have an okay variation of products too
but thanks for the link! 🙂
https://keyb.no/ lmao this one requires a password
and there is like no information what so ever
Yeah sadly that vendor shut down very recently
oh, I see
they were one of the few really good Norwegian vendors
I live in the UK

About This
I've Searched A Lot But I Didn't Find The Perfect App That I was Looking For
Of Course I did
I Have Already Tried Like 5 Apps
theres settings on the mac to change the keys
you never mentioned you were using windows
Yes but i said that i want to replace my right windows key
with?
You're probably not going to find a single app to remap both your mouse and keyboard. Also I don't know of any than can remap an actual FN key (not like F1/F2 etc but FN)
i don't know why but my keyboard have got two windows key
That Is Exactly What i was looking for
wait are we remapping your mac's keyboard or your external keyboard
but just like what you said i couldn't find any one like this
my external keyboard
what apps did you try?
also the weird button you said is NOT a FN key?
because im pretty sure it is
No it's not
ok....
i don't remember because i have deleted them all
it's gonna be hard to search on my browsing history to find out
did you try microsoft powertools
I don't think so
it should have a remap tool
it that doesnt work, buy a new keyboard h
preferably one with a DIP switch
I was thinking about buying a separate keyboard
what do you think about them?
about keyboards or the idea of getting a new keyboard?
getting a new one
i mean if you have the money yes its a good idea since your current one is a crappy membrane that would only last you a year or so
ya i don't really like my current one
i have rgb on my pc and i always turn it off complete pure matte black hahah or just light blue
I have over 2000 RGB LEDs in this room
but do you have it on specific color or all in rainbow
mostly white for the room lighting 🙂
interesting never tried white hahah
even light in my room i use mostly warm orange hahah
Hey do you guys know any competitor to the Logitech G513 Red Switch ? Out of stock here, looking for something similar (80-120€, size : 100%, no macro-keys, rgb, wrist rest as a bonus)
is this atomic shrimp?
No mate it's not a shrimp it's a keyboard, you might wanna check for a doctor soon
yeah, been workin with radioactive paint, its doin a number on my head, hence the atomic part
this is just an akko keycap set on a filco board
unless I am misunderstand the question lol
I spend a lot of my working week in front of my computer and I have started to think I should place more value on making that experience more comfortable. To this end, I went in search of a nice keyboard...
If you like keyboards and you don't already know the channel (or if you just want to watch a knowledgeable person talk about his passion),...
i was referencing this video
V2
i wonder how difficult itd be to play a first person game with mouse keys
lol. are you old enough to play original doom?
how old do i have to be before i can
Filco good
Based filco owner
GMMK Pro user here. Gonna add another drop into the ocean of "Glorious' PC plate has some sort of defect"
Had to switch back to the default aluminum plate after discovering it wasn't the stab itself that was causing the spacebar to stick
I guess it squeezes too hard on the sides of the stab stems? anyway, I switched out the kailh copper in the spacebar to a lubed cherry speed silver for that extra nylon pitch clack
helps distinguish the space to the other keys more.
...I was thinking of going the FR4 route of plate material next. Are there any other types of materials, 3rd party included, that would get the keys to have that nice high pitch while keeping the deep lows?

known issue
this was an issue for a long time ago and they still havent fixed it?
crazy
i mean tbf I think my unit was a repackaged MicroCenter moment
When I installed it, two of the screw holes had threading in them that I couldn't get out
like someone put screws in and then chopped of the top part
my GMMK pro on the other hand did not come with silicon pads under the stabs
one of the keys on my keyboard has (p key) is now acting as the tab key and I switched the computers and it the keyboard still does the same thing. anyone know how if i can just switch the key or something to fix it
did it just do that on its own?
would keychron C1 be worth getting if V1 is not in stock
i am not into anything too fancy just looking for decent mechanical hot swappable keyboard
probably not considering the q3 is planning to be made
also those are very different layouts
well i am looking for a keyboard that is under 100 eur
how much will that cost
probably around the same as a v1 or v4
Anyone know a decently tactile keyboard on the budget end?
What is the budget?
hello
Yes
would you know why when i press ctrl or alt it starts beeping
it sounds like a sort of interference
Anyone know a good 75% PCB I’m looking to slowly build a keyboard with everything I like
Hotswap is ideal but if it’s good enough I’m willing to solder for it

hello, im looking for a wireless mouse in the 100-120$ range , only feature that's a must is 2 side buttons
i currently have a steelseeries rival 100
any recommations? thanks
For an extra 20 or so dollars you could get the g pro super light
Which everyone knows about since it’s a popular mouse
are you willing to wait for a year for fulfillment or are you looking for instock ones
any budget limitations?
Looks nice and stylish what makes up the price tag is it the customisability and style I quite like it
are there any brown tactile that feel more like blue based on feel not as loud
or blue that are maybe a little less high pitched
Lavender purple
i actually did hear people like them
which would you recommend gateron browns or lavender purples
Lavender purple
aiJiames les bones pte
yep
Hmm how often do people change their switches? Or would most just have a separate keyboard if they wanted to mix it up
There are a couple different options for my keyboard, I have the tactile cause that’s what I’m used to and it’s quieter
Bruh
Can you not just put other switches in
You might even find cheaper ones with a similar sound
Ehm why could u only use those optoins? There thousands of other switches that are cheaper and maybe better…
Oh the internet says cherry switches should work
Get something better than cherry tho ...
what're you on
cherries are amazing when done up
unless you're talking about switches that don't require much work
in that case then buy something else yeaa
is it fine if i lube my akko lavender purples with krytox 205g0?
Yes you should lube everything with 205g0
Lot of switches will outclass cherry with no work to be done on them at all and most of the time for cheaper
anyone have any experience with sound isolating or foaming Keychron Q-series keyboards? sometimes when I press larger keys, I get a metallic sounding sound
it's way more so now that I use Gatreon Panda (Lubed) switches, wasn't as much when I used Gatreon Lynx (Lubed)
I was also considering buying the brass plate for it, instead of the aluminum that comes with the barebones kit
I got a same issue wit ducky one 2 mini, but actually i like it 😂
wym? I have that very same keyboard, it's plastic chassi?
I got both One2 Mini and TKL 😛
Oh Nice i got Ducky and Huntsman both 60%
I'm retiring mine probably, got the One2 TKL at work as an "emergency" keyboard for now 😛
probably gonna sell the rest of my keyboards, because I have the Keychron Q3 now, which has an all aluminum chassi
And i aint got that mettalic sound wit Huntsman
😂 maybe its good decision
yeah, I have a whole bunch
LoL i got only 3 keyboards and the third is some micrpsoft shit😂
Actually i think it was made for TV´s but idc
I have a disassembled Corsair K70 RGB, the two Ducky keyboards, a CoolerMaster something something (TKL), a Wooting One (their first keyboard), a Keychron K6, the Discord branded Kono keyboard
not sure if I forgot any or not, maybe I did

nah, don't lol, it's a waste of money
if you ever find yourself buying multiple keyboards, just invest in a more expensive custom keyboard
such as the Keychron Q3 barebones kit (Q3 if you want TKL anyway, there are others too)
Tbf I’ve bought them over a few years
honestly if you find yourself in the hobby just back out, its a massive rabbit hole
Just don't fall for the fomo peer pressure 🤷♂️
already too deep in that hole 😂
but fact of the matter is, you'll never find or build "the perfect" keyboard, you'll always want the thing one ups the current one, and will continue to look until you find it
market will come with new "THIS IS THE LATEST AND GREATEST!" all the time also, so only reason to do it, is to have fun
