My guess is that they will go down the list from name to name, and they award the card buying opportunity to anyone who fits the necessity, from the top, until they run out of cards.

I'd guess by actual gamer they mean like someone who shares their steam account, has a lot of game time, and games, and has a CPU that would match well with a GPU.

i'd guess that probably 1/3 of acclipants will be accepted

and i think they had like 70ish nvidia cards.

so be the first of 200, and if you are a VAG, you probably will be getting a card

Mine actually just showed up yesterday. Ordered on the Tuesday before last, showed up the following week's Friday (so about a week and a half total). The order will say that it's shipped as soon as they create the shipping label, but that doesn't mean its actually been shipped out.

Once FedEx actually got the package, though, it only took like 2 days. They got it Wednesday and it was delivered Friday. So yeah, the shipping isn't actually taking a long time (at least for me in the Midwestern US), it just took them a while to get it processed and shipped out of their warehouse

Watch new LTT videos as soon as they come out, and sometimes they have little segments inserted where linus explains the VAG drop and gives clues to a link based on the explanation (it's usually very straightforward, and is just to make sure you actually watched instead of using a bot to find the link or something). Then theres some extra hoops to jump through (so far it's been gaming quizes), and then you're eligible to buy whatever product the drop is for. Stuff usually sells out in 20 minutes or so, and then they edit the video to remove the extra vag part.

The cost of employee time to vacuum seal each one to be shipped and repackaging from the factory packaging may outweigh the savings there. (Pure speculation)

please dont ping them for that. Also the 5 minutes of research i did shows that fabrics should not be vacuum sealed for long term. Some fabrics need air to keep their shape and starving them air for too long doesn’t augur well with them. Other materials develop severe creases due to excessive compression. Aslo since LMG do not store there merch in house "they outsource" storage\distribution and packing to third party warehouses this i cant see as feasible either.

Someone showed a picture of having actually recieved their ryzen chip 3 days ago, so some of them have apparently already shipped. That said, I was confirmed on the 8th, got a tracking number on the 10th, and tracking seems to indicate it hasn't been picked up by purolator yet.

It is a bit concerning that it's been nearly 10 days now with no tracking updates, but with covid and all I'm probably gonna give it another week before I hit up support to look into it unless I hear something.
