So I got my new precision screw driver in! They didn't have me send in the old one that unscrewed itself. Might try to fix it sometime with some proper threadlocked and get a new bitset for it or something, idk. Right now I'm just putting it away somewhere. I did try to use blue threadlocker on it awhile back but my suspicions were right and that wasn't strong enough. As soon as I went to screw something in the screwdriver unthreaded itself again (the threading on the LTT screwdriver head is reverse threaded, so if you had the defect it would unscrew itself when you try to tighten a screw). So if I do try to repair it sometime I'll have to go out and get some proper really strong thread locker or something.

Yee most clothing / materials will wear and tear over time. Some manufacturers cover certain kinds of wear and tear, especially if it's premature, so... I'm not saying don't contact them, but if you know that part of the bag rubs against other things... I wouldn't expect anything to come of it.

I believe I damaged my backpack pulleys

Had the issue that the carabiner replacement kit's tool didn't close down the pulleys far enough so I regularly had my carabiners come out, and now thaught why not just push it a bit further with waterpiping-pliers. which did work just fine... but I had it not aligned in the middle it seems, so 3 out of my 4 pulleys are hard to close now

Lesson learned, don't let adhd-annoyed me fix things quickly... gonna have to spend more time now to actually fix it

Not bitter at all but this is how this kind of situation is supposed to be resolved. Tracking # created on Saturday, hadn't been handed off from the logistics partner to the carrier for 6 days. I opened the ticket, they replied ~2hrs later and promised movement within 3 business days or an alternative solution would be offered.

When I had this exact same issue with LTTStore they took 3 business days between replies, made me wait almost a month before doing anything, and it took me pinging a staff member here in discord to get them to ship a replacement order.

LTTStore CS can do better 🙂

i dont think its possible to do it non-destructively. I know for sure the shaft end is press fit while the plastic is still hot, then when it contracts as it cools it becomes basically impossible to non-destructively separate them. I believe the bit holder is attached with the same method

Build quality is far superior on Wiha and Wera Tools. They’re both the premium options because the bits last forever, the mechanisms are machined to perfection, (not glazing) and they rock overall. I rock Klein Tools for durability. They aren’t the best in terms of QC, but they last a long time. I rock Wiha for Precision Work. If you need precision bits that don’t shear off on the first thing you loosen it’s the way to go.

that’s a $19 ratcheting screwdriver I got from Klein, and a GoBox right angle 1/4” ratcheting bit driver from Wiha.

Wiha, Klein Tools, Wera, Milwaukee (not the M12 line) Knipex and Husky. The only brands I can trust.

LTT is great for at home. But in an industrial maintenance environment, it’s not gonna last nearly as long. Coworker bought his from LTT and the bits sheared off on a stainless machined screw.

I hate to express an opinion that contrasts the claims LTT makes, but this is my experience. Everyone’s mileage may vary.

I'm fairly sure Linus has said before the bits were chosen to be softer by design, he wanted the bit to fail before a screw.. especially given the target audience at launch was people using it in tech and tech adjacent goods..

Not that I think the LTT Screwdriver is good for an industrial setting either.. Its a premium screwdriver, so good for regular use, but constant use is gonna wear down anything and at that point price has to be a considering factor.. not paying extra for premium, just paying for "good enough" knowing even the best will get replaced on a regular schedule..

FWIW, this setting doesn't exist natively on Shopify. You can set quantity limits with a 3rd-party plugin, but it's not a feature in the core Shopify product.

I also can't speak for Creator Warehouse's setup, but you can set your payment processor to preauthorize payment and only capture after a certain amount of time has passed or certain criteria have been met. If an order is canceled before the capture happens, the authorization is voided and no transaction fees are billed.

It's been discussed on various occasions, but ultimately thats what it costs, so that final price would be pretty similar regardless, with the various taxes and other overhead just getting baked into the base price.
