That's a very ignorant take when it is the shipping company doing the communicating.
They've said that shipping prices would go up drastically if they use a different company to do it because they don't have enough volume. They use the company to provide reasonable shipping prices to us. You guys are complaining when their shipping times aren't that bad, because you are used to big companies with way more volume being able to provide shipping at better rates that is faster.
None of my complaints are with LTT. None at all.
My gripe is with the lack of communication from Wizmo, which CW have no stake in.
I wish CW would move away from Wizmo, but realistically that isnāt going to happen.

Decided to pay for the import taxes on my ups package since it's supposed to arrive today.... I doubt LTT will ever give me back even half of that. I paid 25⬠to LTT and ups charged me 108⬠in total, of which 78⬠is in import fees, making my package worth like 400⬠at 19%, but it was actually 130ā¬

From what i've heard the merch itself is generally of good quality and people are happy with it, the recent declarations of prices and extra fees being charged not so much
the merch I got is good, seems like I just got the soft hoodie in a size too big. Got it in the same size as the t-shirts but I should've gone for a size smaller. Dunno why there's a size diff between short and long sleeved. But yeah, biggest issue and a dealbreaker are the issues with the extra fees with whatever system they use for declaring taxes and shipping

Depends what you looking for i can give you a opinion but in tools very solid TBH, I have both screws (retro and presicion) and kinda like them but i think the shelf in the presicion I find it personally overkill, but still in love with the hybrid bearing, i have a collection (china, blutip team, and chilean brands) so far this is my favorite one in terms of grip

Few people whimpering about an EU warehouse related to this, and while itd avoid customs headaches mostly hopefully (which is why ultra long term it might yet happen), the final cost to the customer would be comparable to current, likely with higher store front costs instead of explicitly shipping. Just a matter of keeping track of if you're upset with shipping times or shipping costs since sometimes people complain about both but only offer a possible solution to one.

Gotta love what my "I wish that" comment has devolved into,
I've already said I know free shipping isn't free, there are reasons even smaller companies offer this.
Free shipping after a certain amount incentivses people to spend up to that amount or sometimes spend even more then they were planning to get to reach that limit which does help boost sales all year round.
LTT may have already considered that some of their products may not have the margin to support this, and in turn don't want to risk someone let's say ordering 30 blank t shirts.
Anyway my "I wish" was only a hopeful comment because it limits a lot of people in the EU like me to buy only during sales, as no right mind individual would pay £19 to ship 8 shirts.

Also some people were talking about this earlier, the LTT bitcase doesn't have a back magnetic plate so it sadly doesn't stick to the Ifixit wrap
However you could probably use double sided tape and cut a magnetic plate to the back and that might work

Im owning the super soft hoodie for like a week now. Yea it's very neurodivergent-friendly. Love it a lot.
And it's quite a bit of an oversized fit, typically I wear M for a normal fit and L when the hoodie is relatively small for the size (ltt shirts and hoodies in M also) and got the Super soft in L cause I wanted it bigger and more comfy-er-er (hehe), nearly exactly what I was looking for, nothing where I'd say I would have been looking for a size smaller

One thing I'm curious about tho... Did the fabric of the shirts change? I feel like all my new shirts I got around the black weeks are a lot more stretchy and plasticy compared to the shirts I got more than a year ago 
They changed from using American Apparel blanks to making their own cotton blend blanks starting with the āTrust Me Broā shirt they pushed in late 2022, AA blanks would still have been sold until the warehouse ran out
The new blanks actually have more cotton content and less polyester content than the AA blanks did
But there have been one-offs with different compositions over the years. Would be easier to compare if we know which specific shirts you're referencing.

Older LAN as in the ethernet design? That was likely on the old American Apparel blank (or either Fruit of the Loom or AlStyle if 3xl), but the writeoff shirt should be of the same composition as the current shirts.

They brought some of the old designs back on the original blanks a little while back. Ethernet design was one of them.

What I do dislike tho (which you aren't really responsible for) is the cords of the Ltx hoodies going missing very easily in a wash, they can slide very easily.

Ish, there's like an extra cm (half inch) on either side of my wrist and I suspect that I'm losing a good chunk of the benefits since it's not centering as naturally. I also move my hands often so I figure the strap would help in keeping it in the best position.
I might reach out to support to see if I can return it now and they give me a code to get a replacement for when I order next (don't need them to ship me a whole new one now just for my idiocy)

What weāve been seeing is that once the courier does perform their first scan, which can unfortunately take a bit longer than usual, the package typically begins moving quickly and is delivered shortly after. For now, the best course of action is to continue monitoring the tracking.

this is as much of a non-answer as I was expecting...that is not how FedEx works, they don't warehouse packages for free for days at a time without scanning them in...they haven't received it yet

When an order is packed it's picked up in bulk by wizmo at which time the FedEx or whatever label is also made, then when it arrives at the wizmo center it's all sorted and prepared for pickup by the couriers... Which have limited pickup capacity
They've just packed thousands of orders in a few days over the sale so first it'll take a while for them to all get to wizmo and then it'll take a while for them to all be picked up by couriers.... Which during this time of year pickup capacity is even lower because of the much higher demand in general
You wouldn't have a shipping label if the order wasn't packed
I can assure you, no business would just hold thousands of packages in a warehouse for you, for free

I have two paris of LTT sweatpants, WAN and Short Circuit that are too small for me. They were given as a gift a couple years ago and I just never got around to doing a return or anything. They got tried on and when I realized they didn't fit, I folded them up and stuck them in a closet to deal with later and promptly forgot about them. They are both size Medium 27 and I'd like to just sell them to someone in the community if that's possible/allowed. Same for the two Giant LTT towels I got - didn't care for the feel of them so used once, washed and stuck in a closet.

this is shipping from the US distribution center in Jonesboro, GA so it does not use Wizmo, it uses Aeronet as the logistics/freight forwarder
and Aeronet has no way for a customer to track the package, the only tracking number we receive from LTT is the FedEx tracking number...we don't have the Aeronet waybill number
so it's entirely lost in the system and LTTStore support has been useless and goes 3+ days between replies which means nothing happens in a decent timeframe

Just curious, is there not a thing as a package pickup point? In norway we have pickup points many places and even boxes that stand outside you can manually collect things from any time. I try to not order things to the house if possible, and it always sounds like it doesnt exist anywhere else.

That hoodie is dope. Only downside is the string gets lost pretty easily, but itās still not as bad as most other hoodies and also it gets dirty. Very very easily way worse than most other clothes.
We have them in America technically. But realistically itās less convenient and the culture never developed. We have post offices and private shipping companies where you can drop stuff off and pick it up.
The most common use I see is Amazon returns at a UPS store, Whole Foods, or Kohls (a chain of usually more family protected discount clothing)

I agree that unless my mail is going to fit through the letterbox, I want it going to a locker or collection point instead and I can just collect on the way home from work, saving the need for someone to be in to accept the mail. And this kind of pickup does exist in the UK, but depends on the courier. Also a lot of the time when you are ordering from somewhere they don't give you the choice, so you have to change it via the tracking. If it's a tracked service, Royal Mail lets you choose to deliver to a pickup point only after the mail reaches the delivery depot, and then changing to locker pickup point/Post Office collection adds an extra day to your delivery time, so it's kind of pointless. The reason they add an extra day, is because since the mail is already at the delivery depot, it's probably already on its way out to the original address, so they will attempt there first. Evri (aka Hermes outside the UK) supposedly lets you choose a locker/pickup point on the tracking, but it never works for me. I think DPD is the best, they just let you choose to deliver to a pickup point whenever via the tracking and it works well. Though they have the same issue as Royal Mail that if your mail is already out for delivery, they may attempt at the original address first.

This is a known issue and we're investigating it at the macro level. Small number of people affected but we just had Black Friday/Cyber Monday so it's still a good size number of folks.
Order has left our warehouse in Georgia (confirmed to be the case across the board) but is going un-scanned by the courier still. Then, after a long delay, suddenly there's a scan and then delivery occurs 1-3 days after.
We're not sure why this is happening despite having raised multiple investigations with our courier partners, but we're continuing to look into it. Unfortunately, given what we know, there's really not a good solution we can offer you aside from waiting it out -- refunding the order doesn't get you your merchandise, and re-shipping the order just clogs the system (and no guarantee it won't also be impacted). Hope you won't take this as us dodging accountability but that's the situation as I understand it right now.

Affected customers are receiving automatic refunds, OR your shipment is being cancelled and remade. We've sent out a number of email communications about this as well as social media posts which cover this in greater detail.

got a 126 CAD refund
...I got a 40 CAD refund
on a 250 CAD order I paid 108⬠extra to UPS....
(the prepaid VAT is included in that 250 CAD)
the actual items were 215 CAD
which means i pay around £55 + £12 ups fee

they refunded me just the prepaid tax, even though I paid so much more than it was needed to UPS
they didnt even refund me the full prepaid tax... I got 40.84 CAD back and I prepaid 40.87

my tax was orginally £39 then UPS customs charge around £85 + £12 fee which you dont get back
i got around £70 back
so my import fees end up being around 80⬠on a 130⬠order now

i have the super soft hoodie but it gets stained so easily and like they dont come off like i have some water stain i think or sumn and its still there

The solution to staining clothes is to ... not spill things on the clothes, and follow the care instructions.

i did a comparison to my dbrand order which i had ordered about a week earlier
actually nevermind, its pretty much spot on, tax here is 36% on backpack n stuff like that, and 20% on tech stuff, averages out to 28% (not including handling fees), and then handling fees is 11% of order value
i calculated 38.351% is what i paid after refund (difference is probably due to currency conversion)

While the whole situation really stinks I'm glad that we are all in the same boat in a way (I was really angry when I saw the refund amount this morning) . I only got refunded for Vat on my affected parcel (about 21 quid) when it should have been nearly 3 times that due to being impacted by all the other issues. Another more expensive parcel came with no fees at all. It is so annoying after already having submitted all the paperwork through support. What the heck is going on over at LTT?
Human error which I am sure they are working hard to put processes in place to make sure this kind of thing doesnāt happen again or at least to this scale.
It's just funny to me how I got refunded 0.03 cad less than I prepaid in store and it being under 25% of what I actually had to pay to ups.
afaik it was a problem with a third party. not ltt/cw themselves making the mistake.
and so far ive only seen ups packages affected by these issues, so maybe related to them or whoever was the middleman between cw and ups. my and others packages that are going through postnl dont seem to be affected
(though postnl is now holding my package for 4 days in a row, but thats unrelated to those extra charges)
its also december, worst time to order something online, everyone and their mom ordering stuff online
I realise that it was a third party that made the mistake (and totally get that these things happen), I am more upset that after the whole "We have identified all affected customers and we'll be providing automatic refunds" they couldn't get that right despite being sent all the invoices etc. It's just a bit much right before Christmas as it is a lot of money for me. Trust me I wouldn't be very happy as LTT if I had to process a load of refunds from a third party partner mess-up. It does just appear to be a UPS issue (and i am so thankful they sent out the rest of my orders RoyalMail) . I'm sorry to hear that postnl is still holding on to your order. Hope you receive it soon.
tbf, every country has its own customs rules/code, and they can get complicated at times if you are not accustomed to those rules.
i dont know even know my own countries customs rules, people who do now, are peopel who have businesses and they import regularly
Yes, It is quite a 'minefield'. At the end of the day I just hope they get it sorted. I started off using their Ai chatbot thing and I think I should have asked for a human from the start.
im used to shipping during this time, also used to shipments from overseas. its already through customs in the netherlands and normally that means shipment getting handed over to dhl in the next day or two but 4 is highly unusual. just gonna wait and see. if it hits a week i might open a ticket with cw
i dont think CW can do anything at that point, you are probably better off contacting customs
well the only thing they can do i notify the carrier that the package is potentially missing

Unfortunately, it looks like not only UPS shipments were messed up, but also those sent via PostNL.
Below is copy of my reddit comment about my situation:
My order was declared on CN23 incorrectly for total value of 180,76 USD instead of 199,99 CAD (147,56 USD instead of 137,93 CAD for commuter backpack and 33,27 USD instead of 62,06 CAD for mystery screwdriver; CAD values from order confirmation email).
At this time 199,99 CAD equals about 123,71 EUR when 180,76 USD equals about 154,33 EUR which places order value above 150 EUR limit for IOSS when it shouldn't be.
It looks like whole order value is attached to backpack (147,56 USD = ~ 203,54 CAD) and polish VAT (23%) is presented as screwdriver's value (33,27 USD = ~45,90 CAD). Additionally IOSS number and any information about paid VAT are missing from the declaration.
I think it all may be somehow connected to the change of the shipment number - it was LXxxxxxxxxxNL for most of the time and somewhere in between Netherlands and Poland it changed to CHxxxxxxxxxNL.
I've contacted customs and tried to explain the situation but to no effect. They said that without proper itemized invoice that clearly displays IOSS number and that the VAT was paid or proper CN23 declaration on the package they can't do anything, they also don't have in their system any IOSS declaration for package CHxxxxxxxxxNL and cannot look for the old number because formally it is a different package. That means I'll be charged 23% of VAT on 180,76 USD and not 199,99 CAD (~25% more than it should be if this was just double taxation).
Yeah. Same here. I ordered 4 driver sets and the screwdriver for a present on Dec 1st. Got one of 4 driver packs 1 or 2 weeks ago. Everything else was shipped yesterday. Like seriously? No notices on back orders or saying they were having troubles with fulfilling order.... Now, my gift probably won't be here in time as it's slated to be delivered on the 24th and I am leaving the 23rd. Very disappointing.

That total USD value would be correct for the sales tax inclusive price of your things
So unlike the UPS stuff, your order value is correct, it's just missing all the other info so you're getting charged VAT again
My order of a commuter backpack and mystery screwdriver (+extra bits) just got through UK customs today via postNL and it appears I've also been hit by the customs mess up - have yet to get the value but tracking now says there's a payment due
Would love to discuss LTT Merch if I ever receive my order.

Not exactly, it's incorrect differently than UPS ones. If values for each item were same as on my confirmation email +23% than maybe, but it's divided differently. Also I'm gonna have to pay 23% VAT on already paid VAT, that should never happen. if whole order would be declared as ~200 CAD that would be double taxation (same 46 CAD that I paid at the checkout).
Also weirdly enough, tracking for first number shows weight as 1.962kg and new one shows 2.089kg (total gross weight of the package). Limit for simpler declaration CN22 instead of CN23 is 2kg. Maybe before number change everything was right, but when package was weighted again in the Netherlands and it was over the weight limit then something went wrong. Additionaly on the CN23 (I got photo of if from customs) screwdriver's and backpacks weights are shown as 0,981kg each, totaling to 2,085kg. I don't know what calculator someone used, but mine shows that 0,981*2=1,962, exactly the weight value shown in the first tracking.
