My only issue right now is how I can get the text to work. Maybe you can see it in the video or the photo – the lid has hexes which are supposed to show which bit is where. But I can't get this part to print well. You just can't read the text at all.

You just need to open a G-code viewer and a text editor side by side and find places where you need color changes. Then just add M600 in your G-code at that location.

I want to get the full sized thunderbolt dock backpack because its a good deal but would the dock even be useful? My laptop I think not that I've confirmed in documentation needs 100w to charge and anything less the laptop doesn't accept it and won't even try to charge so...if I charge via USB C and its my one charge port that means I'm using the laptop battery and not really worth the dock? If I have to resell it afterwards its much less a great deal so maybe I just buy the commuter backpack?

Just a thing to be wary of for the back order things, occasionally they do get things in earlier than anticipated and ship before the back order date, so its worth being prepared for that possibility if you're planning around possible cancellation.

It's not 'just' what doesn't sell, it's get people buying stuff including what doesn't sell, and then encourage people to buy high margin things at the same time so they don't bleed money to quite the same degree. It's a whole thing with a lot of levers and I am not an expert on sales/marketing, but theres a lot of considerations in that field.

Don't sweat snagging deals too much. FOMO is as much a sales tactic as the other things mentioned, but there will always be future deals. If you can swing the funds now great, and if not, great you can stick that money in a savings account(/invest it) and you'll be even more prepped next time.

I put in for a cancellation due to the fact its been since the 27th June and my order still hasn't shipped and I won't be at hone after the 24th. I got an email saying its not in my best interest to cancel since there was an update on the tracking in the past 7 days. The only tracking there's been is that a label has been made and item has been pre-advised, which from searching meant the items haven't been sent at all yet.
Any advice?

My plan is to now just buy on black friday as I won't mind a longer wait at that point and hopefully get more stuff for my money

I'll watch the stream later I'm getting ready for work. If its kinda like a tech satchel that you can use for tech stuff and fits more in line with the commuter backpack then the laptop bag then absolutely hell yeah. Anything I can pack a lot of tech in and a change of clothes for an overnight anything I'm down for (I say change of clothes because ever since they lost my luggage once on a trip I always have a just in case so I don't sweat into the same outfit for 48+ hours. Showed up two days later though) All the backpacks have been a little extra room for its use case.

The commuter backpack I would just need my tablet, my laptop, chargers, a water bottle (dam right I didn't even buy one of those.) And maybe my switch and it seems like it all fit comfortably. (Plus whatever room is for snacks) and it seems like I'd have leftover room since I don't need the tech sack and the most beefy stuff. Most crappy backpacks I could find a front compartment for snacks, a pocket in the main compartment for my switch and a back pocket in the main one for my laptop plus somewhere else to store 3 chargers and a battery bank. Even the commuter one fits way more but at the same time its so nice.

As for the full size backpack, that's like an also pack my portable monitor and my switch dock and charger and still have leftover room. Maybe if your packing one bag for multiple people to save on how much you all bring/carry but otherwise why on earth does anyone need multiple laptops makes no sense.

I have a switch two and since they delayed the switch for what could be just to make sure security wise is not getting hacked they have no hacks yet and you need the original dock to work at all for HDMI.

I don't think I'm the kinda person to ever need my tablet, my portable monitor and my laptop. If I'm going somewhere for work I'll bring my laptop and portable monitor maybe (not even 100% I'd bring the monitor) and if its like vacation I'd bring the laptop and the tablet but I might even bring the old macbook and not my laptop because I'm not doing work on it just nice to have a laptop if I need it.

I feel like a tablet and or monitor and a laptop, some chargers and what not and plus snacks and a pair of clothes is all going to fit in the smaller one and I'm no nomadic hiker that needs so much more stuff or extra clothes in my backpack and lives out of it to save paying for a checked bag or an overhead bag on trips I need a thing of real luggage regardless.

Hell I think switch in main compartment, laptop plus tablet and chargers and batteries and a change of clothes fits even in the commuter right that's a fully packed carry on at that point.

CS can get a bit backed up especially right after a big sale, so 9 days doesnt seem like an especially out of line time although I imagine you'd be coming up soon. Just to confirm you got an email autoresponse when you first sent it? Occasionally things get caught by junk filters or similar.

the one thing I've actually noticed about the LTT driver long-term is that the ratchet loosens up the more it's used, where as the snappy ones I have remained pretty snug. not really a dealbreaker, though.

it's pretty normal for ratcheting drivers to have some backplay in the ratchet, the LTT's one is much more than my near-decade old snappy

it's anecdotal though.

the bits also aren't that great, so hoping the LTT ones are a bit better.

yes. you can! (from my experience). the middle metal piece is not a magnet, I would put that it first. Put it in but not too deep, its top should be flush with the plastic. Then the hard part is adding the ring magnet, but its not too difficult to figure it out. there is no glue, its just press fit
