In short, the Finnish Customs charge you a small fee for all orders over 150€ coming from outside of the EU.

They aren't at a scale where it makes sense, and many people don't seem to realise that it wouldn't significantly impact what they ultimately pay even if they did so. If they had a EU store you'd be paying e.g 100 dollars base price+20 tax, instead of 70 dollars base price+50 tax. It'd be good for your shipping times sure which is why they do keep reassessing it and in the ultra long term they'd like to do it, but the majority of EU people are complaining about cost and not shipping times.

For my LTT regular that’s my general use screwdriver, unless I need something safe for electrical or something.. I don’t own the LTT stubby but I have similar, that’s for places the normal can’t get too, and I have a couple in places for easy access like one in my car..

And I have the precision for the small stuff

I use the full size for everything from PC building to furniture assembly to appliances, and the stubby for hard to reach screws the full size would be too long to access. I use the precision driver for smaller, delicate screws that require.. precision. The longer-shank bits have come in handy a couple times for recessed screws I couldn't get at with my iFixit set.

You can use appropriately sized bits (i.e. normal sized ones with regular/stubby, precisions sized ones with precision) from non-LTT sources and they should work fine. The hexagonal base of bits is pretty much standard throughout the industry afaik, the only thing unique about the ltt ones is they're half length to accommodate storing twice as many in the handle of the regular screwdriver.

You 'can' use an adaptor to use precision bits with the full size screwdriver, but the majority of the time you probably shouldn't want to do that, since precision things often call for delicacy.

Stubby and full size accomplish the same tasks, it's just about if you can physically fit the driver in place, which in some cases might be difficult with the full size.

If you have the budget though and are already planning to buy other things from the store, I would personally get the MCM starter kit since that's a decent deal and you get a single power bar key + arches for near the same price as getting two. I don't expect they'll discontinue them after all the work and love towards them but you never know. Managed to unscrew the precision driver the other day

The tip is actually threaded to the handle. It indeed can come off. Its annoying when this happens

I recall that happening to a couple other people. If you're happy with your red loctite fix, awesome. (This is also what I would do if I had the precision driver and it unscrewed.) Otherwise I believe you can contact support for assistance if it unscrews again.

In case it's a mistake - the Scribe Driver + Notebook bundle on the Global store appears as 59.98 CAD on sale for 34.99 CAD, instead of 29.99 CAD (50% off) like the picture in the email I got this morning shows. The US store is correctly 50% off, so perhaps the email just needed to be more specific about which store the discount applies to. IDK, just my 2 bits. 😅

Kk all good. We're only human, except those of us who are secretly robots. I already have a scribedriver (and love how it writes) and don't need yet another notebook collecting dust on my selves. Just sharing as feedback in case others have the same question.
