• SS wears down faster due to lack of balanced toughness. And Tungsten will f*ckify itself when you twist and use enough force.

• Machining costs : S2 economical, SS is harder = costs more, Tungsten = super high price on machining due to tooling needs

So i just got my precision screwdriver 4 days ago. I collect champagne capsules, and i have those like those custom shelves to store the capsules in, but its kinda hard to get out, so I was planning on using the magnet bit for that. I haven't really used the screwdriver much, but i was a couple hours ago testing the magnet bot, and out of nowhere that circle break of. I don't know how.

So i thought maybe i just click it back in, so I tried that, and then it breaks in two peaces. And now im quite devastated, i contacted support, but I'm quite scared because it says on the site that the bits dont fall under the warranty...

My experiences with them tend to be they're more than fair, so plausibly you might end up with whatever bit pack contains the magnet bit. Which is certainly overkill for one bit, but for ease of shipping and "oops, sorry we shipped something defective" reasons I wouldnt put it past them. Or maybe the means to buy a discounted pack or something. They're good folks though, so I wouldnt fret too much (although suppprt times might be a lil rough atm).

Somewhat normal. Some colours fade faster (gold ink on the black and gold was known to wear off). How much it wears will vary depending on how sweaty/oily your hands are.

As Spotty noted above, too many factors to provide a definitive answer. Depends on how the bottle is stored and cared for. My white bottle with black text spends most of its time indoors in the side pocket of my backpack, so it's in great shape. If I biked to work, it'd likely be more worn out from the bottle holder on my bike.

I love the new thirst extinguisher water bottle there's a bunch of subtle improvements. The gaskets have tabs to pull them out for easier cleaning. The neck for hanging the water bottle is thicker and a simpler shape to prevent it snapping like on the old design, also a new type of plastic is being used that seems much better quality but only time will tell.

While I can't speak to the LTT Backpack specifically, you'll absolutely want to install the backing grabbers on pins like that if they're going to be jostled around. Otherwise, the pins will just fall out over time.

This is normal for the inner prints, bit of a trade off so you don’t feel them against your skin. The outer prints are done with a completely different process, and don’t fade/crack in the same way.

I've got an odd issue with a pair of LTT sweatpants and customer support directed me her or to the forums for a repair

Looks like the seam let go, if it ever was properly stitched in the first place. I would take it to a tailor / clothing repair shop in your area and have it professionally looked at and/or repaired, if you want it to last.

My iFixit kits are great for small electronics (especially the Moray iFixit kit because it's easy to take with me in the camera bag), and my LTT screwdrivers are great for around the house / server rooms.

I work in manufacturing, we do industrial equipment. This thing has fallen 8+ feet off the top of a generator at least twice in my memory. The abuse was never intentional, just happens in the shop.

It also doesn't just fall apart but a little tug on the handle and shaft and it pops apart.

Those hardware (Processor, RAM and Hard Drive) designs were old stock, from before the custom blanks (circa 2022). They were printed on American Apparel 50/50 cotton/poly (soft, lightweight) for sizes up to 2X, and on 100% cotton AlStyle or Fruit of the Loom (heavier, scratchier) for 3X.

So if you have the AlStyle/Fruit of the Loom shirts, I can definitely see why you're not satisfied with them :P

you can tell the difference between american apparel and ltt blanks from the tags. american appareal has a loose white tag, but ltt blanks have a printed tag (that wears off in a few washes for me, but some letters hang on sometimes lol)

Just keep in mind that things would cost you about the same in the end though, since things still cost what they cost. The main difference would be your shipping times would be way lower and there'd potentially be less import headaches, but your 90 dollar plus 26 shipping price would just change to a 110 dollar plus 6 shipping kind of thing.

when i log into lttstore with floatplane i dont know if it worked or not, it removes the option to click it and see login with shopify or floatplane, and takes me to the shop login page when works to login and see my orders.

If you mean is there a way to connect your account on Global.lttstore.com to your old account on Lttstore.com, I don't believe so. Rather, there's likely a way accounts could have been migrated and kept all history (last resort: this could be done manually), but the amount of development / data management work that would involve is not worth the time and effort.

I haven't ordered since the changes with the US. Is there always an additional charge from the delivery that I've seen some post about? Or should it all be getting covered by LTT on purchase with the price changes that took place?

As far as I'm aware any orders that were already underway should have no changes to what you ultimately need to pay. If theres any additional charges you still need to pay around customs/vat/sketchy delivery services then that would have been true prior to the store split, but if you're in the us and had an order prior to the split then it should be as normal.

Ideally, VAT / taxes should be collected during checkout. Sometimes people aren't asked to pay anything extra. Sometimes people are required to pay upon delivery. Really boils down to the custom's agent that inspects your order, your country's import laws, and how much / what you order.

I recommend a really good backpack for uni, as you will be carrying heavy things and the good ones take the weight off one part of your back and spread out so you don’t end up with a sore back. I wish the commuter was out 15 years ago when I was studying

ive got the full-size ltt backpack. I've been using it to go to classes and travel, and its been great. Only thing is that I wish it had more pockets, but thats a minor thing 😄
i've heard people say that it stops standing up on its own after a while, so ive been making sure its supported when possible. When at home, i set it on the floor but leaning the front against a thing, and when its stuffed full, ive had no issues with it standing up when i needed it to (ive only had it for 7ish months though)
