The full size backpack for example is an awkward size for how I travel, its oddly large externally but the way its so rigid and the 2 pockets are split I can't fit as much stuff comfortably as I can in other backpacks that are actually smaller

The precision screwdriver I find a bit worse to hold than the ifixit because of the reduced length of knurling and the way I grip it. To get a good twist with it I need to hold it differently which isn't ideal

I really don't like the two big pouch pocket things at the bottom. They need a flap to cover the pouch part so it can't catch on things and use the shell material instead of the liner material as the seperator cause the pouch should be for random bits and tools and what not but the liner isn't as durable so I'm loath to use the pouches as intended

I’m pretty sure he’s basically said they make a bit of margin on the largest ones and more on the smallest, and that all balances out to make a sustainable product. Also something about basically not punishing people for having a larger desk - basically a mode of pay $30 cover one desk. I remember this from a WAN years ago so take it with a handful of salt, but it was something along those lines.

Even with the smaller ones being technically more expensive based on size, it’s still one of the best pads I’ve found, and at a competitive price with the market.

Both the european situation and the tariff situation are messy where how things "should" work potentially not lining up with what happens, as intermediates may believe they need to collect things that have already been collected or may or may not apply, so having money available to pay stuff is probably wise, but if theres any double charges or things that are charged that shouldnt apply, support should be able to refund or guide you as applicable.

Contacted the seller - they offered to "eat the loss" (for their own failure to ship the items with the customs / duty declaration filled out properly) by refunding what I would pay UPS instead of having me reject the item because it was ultimately the cheaper "loss" for them.

I’m lucky enough to live somewhere they’ll leave most (all?) things without signing. When signing is required it eats into their overscheduled route to wait for you to answer the door so the drivers just make stuff up to avoid it.

I'm considering a new backpack, and I can't seem to find anything specifying the expected/tested weight limit for the LTT Backpack.
My current daily is an everki flight 16 (not advertising it)
My standard loadout is:
14" mbp
Dell xps 15
iPad Air 3

1x shargeek storm/1x anker 737
130w dell usb c power brick
small pouch of usb cables (7 cables)
would the LLT backpack be suitable for that or are there any other suggestions?
(I travel regularly so no gaming desktop these days, mostly mobile)

the reason i ask is I have had several backpacks fail, most of the time at the edge of the zipper and they say this isnt under warranty, due to the "extreme load" placed on the bags, and I'd like some clarification before dropping > $500 on the backpack.

Trust me bro is pretty flexible. The loadout you describe doesnt seem unreasonable, so in the (very unlikely imo) case it failed I imagine they'd take care of you.

LTTStore support may well claim “wear and tear” which they generally don’t cover, so if you’re that worried about the particular load placed on the bag, then best to send that loadout list to them in an email so at least you’d know for sure that they’d cover you in the event of a zipper fabric failure

This looks like the material peeling off the liner. The ltt backpack wouldn't suffer from the peel specifically as it's a different material. Whether the stitching holds up is another question as that's a pretty heavy load

No, the bits between the regular and stubby screwdrivers are the same, but the precision driver uses a completely different size bit. The good news is that if you order the precision driver kit it comes with an adapter you can use with the larger screwdrivers to use the precision bits.

At CES I was talking to an Asus laptop guy about why US laptops aren't adopting 240W charging via USB PD 3.1 when Chinese laptops are and apparently the reason is some kind of efficiency requirement here. The standard has existed for years just nobody has actually figured out how to implement it.

The Framework 16 is the only laptop I know of that does USB PD 3.1 over ~100W and even then they only do 180W.

The V1 was based on an older motherboard which is why it had some outdated components and stuff. For V2 they redesigned the pattern (I think it might've been Sarah?) based on a modern motherboard. But it's 'inspired' by a motherboard, not a 1:1 recreation of one. So the V2 design should have components you recognize from a modern board, but it won't match anything real.

Imagine the spout lid, now imagine the cylinder containing the cap screw, the one you put your mouth on, syraight up breaks away from the rest if the lid

maybe the base of that cylinder was stressed by tightening the cap, pulling it up and rendering it more susceptible to damage

Quick Merch Message question: What makes it so that a merch message appears on screen for a WAN episode, even if not responded to?
Over the past few months, I've tried sending multiple merch messages. (Hitting the box, choosing the Ocean theme, and typing in the message, tweaking it to fit the character limit, and opting into the optional email response if its a question) with everything from real questions or just something funny like "Hi YouTube!" but every. Single. Time. It has just appeared as "(My Name) just scored 1x (Product)"

I never type swears or anything political, so I don't know if I'm doing something wrong, if it's random chance, or what. I see many others just saying stuff like "Hi mom!" or asking questions, and even if they don't get a response, they still at least appear on screen. It is a little disheartening that the 4-5 times I've done it, it has never worked once and really makes me miss super chats.

(Also sorry if this is technically the wrong channel, I was torn between this one and #the-wan-show )

The money breakdown on their recent video supports that shirts arent big money makers compared to tools/storage(i.e. backpacks), plus linus has expressed hes pretty keen on all around 20 dollar shirts blank or not even if that may mean slimmer margins on the printed ones.

Also they're not strictly a clothing company, although its a bit murky. They're a media production company focused on tech, that had a merch store spin off that grew to a more broader storefront that does have a bunch of apparel, but calling creator warehouse a clothing company doesnt feel super accurate to me. 60 skus might be slim for a clothing store, but its far and beyond most merch stores.

In any case, they absolutely have people whose job is figuring out how to optimise this stuff, so it safe to say they have their reasons and its not as simple as "oh just stock more blanks". They might well be trying to but the factory isn't up to the demand, or they did order tons but they're all stuck on a boat in customs hell, or they're tied up at the printer as they try to get those back in stock, etc. Hopefully they'll get it under control eventually but the current economic situation probably isnt helping.

And then when i go through the a secret wizmo portal shhhh i find that it is actually through a gateway service via the Netherlands post nl. I can't really tell from the pictures, but if the lid is all that is really broken and it would still hold water, you could just get any of the compatible lids for cheap online and still use it. FYI in case you didn't know the mouth is 100% hydroflask wide mouth compatible
