Once they run out of discounted units, it’s very likely they will not be able to offer you the same discount, considering where the funding for the discount is coming from

And it’s likely they’ll be running out of discounted units the next day or two, likely before you’ll get an answer from support

Ratcheting screwdrivers are generally not suited for precision work, which is why you won’t see many/any precision 1/4” hex bits

Is there a significant reason why? I find the ratcheting LTT driver just fine taking apart my laptop, and there are no lack of PH00, 000 and small torx screws.

Although if I were to chose which driver to accidentally drop onto my CPU-GPU bare dies when cleaning the heatsink, I'd choose a lightweight precision driver over the ratchet.

i think its mainly the feel. Ratcheting screwdrivers also feel strong, and are often heavier, which means its not as easy to do small movements

you totally can do smaller things, its just often slightly more annoying than if you have a smaller screwdriver

Am I the only person who thinks the airtag pocket on the OG backpack leaves a lot of room for improvement? It's out of sight for sure, but I still notice the white edge of the airtag poking just out the pocket every time I search inside the large compartment. I would find it much better fit for purpose if it's an addtional 1cm deeper or the pocket being further down as a slot in the orange fabric.

sounds like my typical load too, I find the LTT feeling less straining than the bag it replaced, although I don't appreciate the fact that weight gets distributed so far behind my back. In my old bag I stack everything on top of each other, so it's heavy but densely close to my torso

although if you are in the market for 3rd party downsized chargers, I can suggest looking for a replacement touting SiC or GaN switches.

I had a HOTA 230W SiC power supply, cuts my laptop travel weight by almost 1kg thanks to the weight savings compared to the brick and one less cable, it also doubles as a 3x PD100W +USB QC 18W quad charger if I don't need full RTX power

yeah that's a complaint i have for sure, in fact even last night i tested it with a tile tracker again and it just slides right out (or even flies out) if the bottom of my water bottle goes against the botom of the tracker

i wish they made it a little bit bigger and added something suck as a zipper or a button

Hey might be an odd question but people here tend to know stuff. I have a backpack currently it’s clear and made out of pvc. The dimensions are 16x12x7 that’s inches. The new commuter bag is 17.5x 11.5x8 so it’s only slightly bigger. Probably is my current pvc bag I kind of have to flex and cram to fit it into my locker at work. Would it be safe to assume the commuter probably won’t fit because it’s a more rigid material

The OG is stiff and holds shape, but it can be bent (assuming you don't have a laptop in it blocking it from bending the way you need). It'll totally be enough. You should be able to fit a laptop, lunch, some textbooks/notebook. If you're maxing it out, you're doing something wrong. I used a much smaller backpack and it worked fine.

This is what I've done. I love t he regular backpack but I've found there's a lot of days where it is just too much bag and could do with a smaller bag on those days. I knew they were doing a smaller one so waited it out and I'm glad I did because it looks like it'll do exactly what I need it to.

Is there an special method of washing the ltt backpack?

I bursted an energy can inside of mine - the second time this has happened to me - with the same brand... Also with no obvious reason for it to get destroyed.

I flushed it pretty good in my shower and left it to dry but I'm unsure if the inside of the walls were cleaned somewhat properly.

What I did find out, it does hold liquid nearly as well inside the backpack as it does keeping it from getting in, so it takes a solid time for the liquid to get outside - so you actually realize that you bursted something - and even longer for it to reach the tech compartment - and I don't know if you'd manage to actually endanger your Laptop. It was a solid 10mins with about half a liter in the bag of holding and it just managed to get the microfiber part of the tech compartment wet, far away from the Laptop - and the floor the bag was standing on was a bit wet - not dripping or anything.

Anyways, my calculator case plus the thing itself were swimming in the bag of holding - it should survive I hope, tho an energy drink should be the worst liquid you could imagine getting into tech... My 3d printed pinecil case was swimming also but shockingly dry from the inside.

Might get a tech sack next time we get free shipping or something

For my bags that get really dirty I typically just throw them in the laundry machine and run them on the handwash/delicate setting with only cold water and minimal detergent. (And do a secondary rinse+spin on the low setting afterwards) That cleans it up really nicely. If you want to be extra careful, you can do the same but actually hand wash in the bathtub.

But without fully submerging you're never going to get the drink/sugar fully out of the bag cause the drink would have soaked through multiple layers of fabric and a surface wipe is not going to cut it.

Some iFixit kits include an adapter, as does the ltt precision bit set. I'd recommend you be extra cautious though, as ratcheting screwdrivers aren't really designed for precision work and it's easy to accidentally overtorque a small screw.

Glad you got it sorted out, but also... this "note" about full email accounts has nothing to do with iCloud - every provider I've ever used will reject additional email messages if the inbox is full. This is less of an issue for a store / seller / service to address, and more of ensuring you don't let your inbox get too full... same as what would happen if your physical mailbox got too full IRL. Depending on where you live, your post office might notify you its full, but people sending you stuff won't have anyway to magically know this.

Anyone else have an issue with their LTT desk mat curling up on the long edge? Started doing it before I threw it in a cold wash, threw it in a no heat tumble dry for like 15 minutes, and now its even worse.

Would the heat from an iron or steamer (on low) do any actual damage to this thing?

The threads shrinking actually probably is what made it curl as the bottom rubber material stayed the same size and the top shrinking wants to pull the edges up. Maybe a steamer if you want to start safer before going full iron.

It's likely because when you tumble-dried it, the fabric/rubber dried at different rates. I always cold wash my mousepad and that has never happened, but I let it dry on a drying rack overnight.

It was doin that before I even washed it, just got worse. Was on the air dry setting for only 10ish minutes to get some of the dampness out. I'll dig out my steamer tonight and see what I can do. Maybe lay it out and place a bunch of heavy books on it as well
