It's even worse if the shipper fails to [properly] fill out the customs forms and they're using UPS. 😡 When I kickstarted a bunch of board game / DnD dice they shipped using UPS, but failed to declare the dice correctly, so UPS had to clear it themselves with customs. Customs wanted $15 for taxes (fine / makes sense) and then UPS wanted $37 for "broker fees" because the shipper didn't do their job. Luckily, the shipper refunded me (aka ate the cost) and I do understand UPS should charge something (like say $5-$10) but $35+ is robbery.

@solid isle I was astoundingly happy to hear this was LMG's take on handling double charged VAT import taxes though, and I'm not even in a country that would be affected by this. 🙂 In my experience importing things, many shippers would tell the buyer to "deal with it" themselves or do nothing to fix it.

The only times I've had long waits from support is for stuff like asking if I can combine orders or something when Linus decides to just put more and more and more stuff on sale randomly during a WANShow, or during Linedays.. which isn't something you can be shocked at, no way do they have the numbers of people available for that..

I do wish LTT had an automated system of seeing you did an order (before its getting preped to ship) and auto-combining them, and refunding the diff in shipping (or seeing it before you check out the second order and just charging the difference).. but I get thats a big ask..

Store support told me to do something that'll straight up void the screwdrivers warranty. I will not be doing that. I recommend no one else does that. Isopropyl will be a temporary solution that'll dry out the little lubrication the bearing had over time.

My rusty fidgetspinner with exposed bearings performs better. Screwdriver vibrates and has a gritty spot in the bearing. I followed the directions in the FAQ and it didn't improve. If I spin it and place it on the edge of the table, it'll vibrate itself right off

Plus I have access to a second one via a friend, his works fine

If 15-20 sec spins are actually to be expected, the product was grossly misrepresented on WANShow

I got my.ltt stuff today. Backpack, screwdriver , scribe driver and bottle. Backpack seems amazing with all the compartments. Screwdriver has a very premium feel to it and it feels good in the hands. Same for the scribe driver. It was just a bit smaller than I anticipated but works well and feels good. Bottle well it's a bottle 🤷‍♂️. It fits in the backpack well and I love the design

If they bought it as a fidget toy exclusively, and would have given a 5/5 review even if the screwdriver part didn't work at all but the thing spun beautifully for ages, then it strikes me as fair. I find that improbable, but if that's how they weight the features, they can technically do that and it'd be a fair review even if it's very far off what my own weighting. If they feel they would have been upset if it didn't work as a screwdriver though, they should perhaps reconsider how many stars each component is worth.

I grant I am a bit surprised they didn't agree to swap out after the initial pushback. It spins and fidgets ok but not perfectly so I don't blame them for resisting especially after the recent video potentially attracting abusers, but a "ok send it back, and we'll send a new one" thing doesn't seem completely out of line. I certainly wouldn't expect "oops, we'll send a new one, don't worry about sending the initial back" levels of care for something so minor, but given it seems so important to them, potentially not worth fighting over.

All orders are first picked up by Wizmo, LTTStore's cross-border shipping partner. If you live outside of Canada, Wizmo then transports the package to the US. After clearing US customs, the package is transferred to the courier you're seeing the "label created" status with. This whole process can take up to ~72hrs, during which you won't see an update on the courier's site. You should hopefully start seeing movement within the next day or so!

Also worth mentioning that the 3rd was a weekend :)

Even worse, I live in Canada. It took Sept 7th to Oct 25th to get it in my hands.

Part of my review was that I ordered Sept 7th, day of launch, Sept 27th I received a 'fulfillment delay' email pushing back to Oct 12th, which came and went with no further updates. It didn't ship until the 17th and Wizmo took until the 23rd to bounce the package.

They try to claim Wizmo is only used for international orders, but they use it for anyone further than Manitoba

Bits are a different size than the fullsize driver, so they're not interchangeable.

Notworthy tho, the bit set does come with an adapter bit so you can use the small bits on the large driver, just not vice versa.

If you order just the precision driver, there's no bits.

I'll be using the adapter bit until my replacement comes in 🙂

I would REALLY like to see other shipping options to the EU than DHL eCommerce.... even if they are pricier, the option would be very nice...
DHL is a joke... DHL alone is pretty ok, however, DHL eCommerce hands over the packet to local distribution solutions. This hand-over is a nightmare... Tracking number changes, unexplained delays and god knows what. Heck, getting things shipped from China through state-mail is better than the eCommerce solution...

An option to have DHL carry the mail all the way, or a regular traditional EMS packet or UPS or anything...

My packet has now gotten stuck in the handover point since monday (I know, just 2 days) before that, it was stuck in no-change over the weekend.
