its a very personal preference. this is coming from someone who owns 2 regular LTT screwdrivers 1 stubby and precision and then 3 ifixit kits and a megapro screwdriver (the one that inspired the LTT one) the LTT precision is nice but not a game changer. my opinion is if you already have ifixit gear do not get the LTT stuff to "upgrade". if you are a aesthetics guy and like the look of the LTT sure go ahead and get it if you dont have anything else but its not worth replacing already good tools for. if you dont use these tools daily or weekly the LTT stuff is not worth it but if you use these tools for your job or weekly or daily then its good stuff. the wait times and shipping and all the dumb hype is annoying as heck. $50+shipping which for me was $10 it was in the eh i'll give it a try price.

the ifixit precision (I have the plastic one)'s magnet just feels so weak and if you bump the tray just a tiny bit, there goes all your organization

I don’t have an ifixit driver, but the magnet is comparable to the bit screwdriver’s strength (scaled down of course. I mean how it grabs onto the bit when you put it in feels similar)

the grip bit storage i get on the stubby and the regular i carry them in my pocket and having it all in the handle is great no bulky case but the precision when ever ive needed one i grab the whole case put it next to what im working on and its right there. ive never just grabbed the screwdriver and went to do a project. the case is always on the table or next to me to grab stuff. the only time i was in a space where i could not put the case down was working on a register but i used the stubby for that.

Mine are for a couple reasons but primarily is because I liked the ifixit drivers, but didn't like having to pick between the plastic handle which had bit storage or the more comfortable smoother metal handle,the ltt seems like it'll fix that pain point for me. At events I often end up walking with a couple screwdrivers ready to go, and do need a mix of precisions and fatties, too many things to carry, better built in storage often wins the choice.

I will continue to request LTT make JIS bits at some point. Phillips are just bad in comparison

When you get down to that small of size, it's difficult to tell by looks alone. The best way to (for sure) know they're different is to feel the difference in your hands when screwing different sizes of heads.

I always think I'm using the wrong bit size when screwing / unscrewing devices that use tiny screws until I "test" feel different bit sizes in the same screw heads. The last thing you want is a stripped head.

But it seems pockets is one of those things that people think is important without realising its reducing capacity while increasing cost and weight. But I think I am done for bags now. See I'm on the other side of the spectrum. I travel a lot for work and go to conferences and stuff. Having an outside pocket for quick access to my bottle and a spot to quickly stow something like a snack or charger while I'm running around the airport or convention center is valuable to me. No outside pockets on the original LTT backpack was a bit of a dealbreaker for me so I never got it. But the commuter backpack having outside pockets, as well as being a little smaller, is a big deal for me

Oh there's plenty of room in it for several days worth of packing. I have an old Swiss Gear backpack that has about the same internal volume size as the LTT backpack and I often use it for 2-3 days worth of travel.

Stripped down an old laptop earlier and no issue with the location of the knurling for me, my fingers rest on it comfortably when it’s against my palm

Depends how many days of clothes you need. Or rather how many pairs of jeans you need as that's the bulky thing you really likely only want at most 1 pair of thicker pants in your bag

Mine seems to do fine with the following, takes up the entire mid pouch really (sorted by pqcking cubes)
1 pair of pajama pants, 1 tee shirt, 1 underpants
1 pair of jeans and 5 button up long sleeve shirts
5 pairs of socks and underpants

So that's enough to get ya through a weekend trip hopefully lol

Mine had a seemingly bad bearing (worse than yours) and support suggested trying to spin it for a few minutes with compressed air or similar to really get it moving, that it may knock loose any debris or help it get back on track, so that may be worth a shot first

Ultimately in my case it didn’t help, and they offered a replacement or refund

But yours definitely looks more hopeful than mine, maybe it’s salvageable

That was my thought. It's a sleeveless 3D down jacket, though, so I can see the reasoning behind the cost.

Also, the actual shirt design is not done using the same process/by the same people as the tag

This is a good solution however i should point out this was the first issue the double layer issue was pretty bad too and we got some money for it. But in the future i have to say its better to wait for the beta testers to do some videos on the backpack before we ever buy it.
