I've always preferred an over the shoulder single strap bag for DSLR camera. It's nice to just swing the strap moving the bag from my back or hip to the front for quick access vs taking the bag off setting it down and pulling it apart to get the gear to get the shot.

But I guess that only matters if you're the type of person who's looking for that moment in time to capture that might change with lighting and clouds etc.

If your just moving to location and taking your time than quick draw isn't a concern.

Thought it might be worth mentioning if you hadn't considered it.

I'm thinking about investing in the backpack and wondering if it's actually worth it? I live in Ireland so shipping and taxes are insane, ends up at around €330 so it's a big investment for someone like me on an intern salary. I am currently finishing up an internship with an engineering/construction company who have offered me 8-12 hours a week while I go back to uni but that means I will have to carry my work laptop and uni laptop with me on my long ass commute. ordered day one, so got it now for almost 2 years. for me it was 400 after tax and shipping. not a single regret. i bring it to the office every day. bag looks still great, the single layers is no issue, i always drop it on the floor when i put it down. previously i would buy bags that look great for 100 to 200 euros, and after a year they would all tear. not the ltt back pack with all the extra ribbits or what ever they are called

Yeah, the "it doesn't get bigger when you fill it" feature is a double edged sword IMO. It's a lot bigger than most people need it to be and despite what Linus says, it's way too big to fly with. And for cases when you need a backpack that physically big, all the dividers and stuff take up too much useable space.

But I fully admit I fall into a weird use case.

I personally don't care about having a ton of pockets for everything because I put everything into Tech Sacks (which I think are brilliant products) and move them around to whatever bag I'm using

ive found it depends on whether you get an aisle seat or a middle or window seat. an aisle seat has slightly less width than the other two, believe it or not. so when i fly, the backpack easily fits underneath UNLESS im in an aisle

Well that is not exactly true. Right now from what I understand merch sent to EU is double taxed. First time when LTT has to pay import taxes and or tariffs when it enters Canada from China and then when shipping to EU. Setting up a branch/spv/llc for example in Germany will allow EU merch only to be taxed once (when imported from China to “Germany LTT company”) as there are no taxes or tariffs on goods sold within EU. Obviously if they are not looking for expansion/don’t want to increase production etc the point is moot.

Many products would still have to go through canada though, as final assembly still happens in canada.

for example, iirc just the ratcheting mechanism is made in china, I believe the pieces are actually assembled in canada

iirc the shirts are also printed in canada

I also believe packaging happens in canada (the printed boxes, not just shipping packaging)

so they wouldnt just need to open a warehouse somewhere in the EU, they would also have to find comparable manufacturing to what they already are doing in canada for what you suggested to work.

Well that's what it's for after all. The ease of actuating the ratchet made it really easy to work on the screws in such a confined area too

figured i would give a quick follow up on this. they came today and seem decent enough. they are a bit shorter than the LTT ones and for the thin ones (like small hex) the base of the hex part flars out more so they might not be as good for recessed screws. but they fit in the handles and work well with the magnets so im calling them pretty good for the price

Yes I DID wash this normally, my machine goes.. kind of warm as far as I can tell, dunno its in Japanese. Anyway this is my Merino shirt after one wash. looks like you failed to follow the directions. Merino wool will look like that if you leave it crumpled up when wet. You need to hang it up or lay it flat to dry and it won't look crumpled.

Reminder that a lot of electronics come from Japan and so use JIS. Very similar to Phillips but using a phillips driver on a JIS screw is likely to cam out. Flipside using a JIS driver in a philips screw won't damage the screw.

NGl, I was disappointed when the bag broke cover and was basically a glorified laptop sleeve. if it were 45-50 bucks, i could see it, but the fact that people cant fit a power brick in there is problematic. Hopefully an eventual LTT messenger bag has more reasonable space inside for peripherals, as well as slightly larger capacity (my Omen transcend 16.1 is barely too wide to fit the sleeve).

its not 'bad', it appears to be the same excellent quality as the backpack (which i have, and love). its just very thin, and thus unable to carry anything like a power brick, mouse, or headset, without bulging .

Laptop yes, XSX no. The biggest compartment is more or less the same depth as the diameter of the 40oz ltt bottle (and just so happens to have a dedicated spot for one). XSX is too thick. A discless PS5 might fit though...

Rigid extensions often don't make sense on precision bits as if you need an extension the hole is likely smaller than the diameter of your shaft extension would be

Although the bitset does come with the adapter so you can use precision bits in your full size
