I would say that you should be doing the exact opposite of what you said... If you are living with your parents you have even more reason to be saving more money. That is literally the ideal scenario to save up a lot of money because you have low fixed expenses. Literally the best way to set yourself up for the rest of your life. Save and lot and starting to fund a retirement account fully. And the 4-6 months of saving should be as if you were to be renting/paying a mortgage so when you start doing that yourself you have it.

I agree and that's what I did, but at the same time I am of the strong belief that saving isn't really the most important thing. Having goals, saving, and investing are all great, but if you aren't also having fun in life then boo. The best time to spend money imo is also when you are a kid (while saving aswell) but it's also definitely important to buy things you want when there isn't anything else to worry about

It’s labeled as “factory shipping delay” I think maybe it even took the factory a bit to finish or they can’t ship it for some reason. There were likely a good bit of supply chain issues caused by the crowdstrike stuff

Had one of my Stealth V2 hoodies LTT lable peal a bit. But given I have 6 of these and this is the first issue, I assume maybe it got pulled rubbing or walking by something.

Well I brush glued both sides waited a min for the glue to get tacky and then put them together. Plus a glass jug full of water to put several pounds of weight on it over night to cure fully.

So as long as the vinyl bonded well it should stand up to washing.

I got them for my retro controllers that only get used on the odd occasion.

I can see what you mean, but I think my use case is pretty ideal because over years just living on a wall I notice sticks dropping from gravity, and I think the stick locks will keep em centered.

Also find they are much less "fiddly" on longer sticks like the N64 controllers over something like the Nintendo switch stubby sticks.

I got them hoping for them to make sense on the n64 but I just worry about the tension theyre putting on the stick module itself long term

I bring a lot of n64 and ique players to conventions and whatnot was the exact reasoning

its one of those things, youre yanking on the shaft pretty good and offcentered while at it. the creep thatll impart on the gear slot/arms has me concerned for long term

and to a lower extent the nibs on the gate, and lower than that just overall

would make sense mostly if just tossing a controller in your day/carryon bag imo

I had to update my understanding of the joystick design. I did research a ton when I ordered a bunch of replacements almost a decade ago. But after a little refreshment I don't think I have any concerns.

The temporary tension on the joystick putting the stick locks on aren't nearly as abusive as playing with the thing.

And for older units in standby mode for months at a time. As long as it's centered the pulling force is nothing compared to the force applied when using it.

Screwdriver is probably on the boat, as Linus had 100 of them air-shipped and sold them last week to a random selection of people on the waiting list..

Backpack we don't know for sure, but it likely got delayed with the drama surrounding the missing layer on the OG version of the backpack.. Linus had mentioned in late june/early july that they hadn't fully ironed out the issues between the manufacturer and LMG over who was on the hook for that fuckup.. and Linus had said when the issue first was noticed, that he was more than willing to use future orders of new products as a bargaining chip to make sure it was resolved so his satisfaction..

After 3 years of wanting to buy something from LTT for my birthday, I have finally done it.

I've been using a stealth deskpad for around 5 months at this point and I gotta say, this is pretty mediocre but it is definitely worth the money. The surface itself is great, but mice slide noticeable easier on the X axis. The borders do fray quite a bit and it is still a little bit wrinkly because it came rolled. I'd say it's worth it.

Sound like you are doing market research. I will bite. There are EDC bags like the everkit. And military bags like one from agilite, direct action, tasmanian tigger. There are urban bags too. The only reason i did not get the others was the trust me bro warranty. However some europe bags are very well made and better looking like the ones from THULE. I bought it for the molle and velcro. I dont usually trust bags like the ltt so i tend to not buy them. EDC stuff and specially hicking stuff IMHO is better evaluated and more confortable and durable.

Ltt is pretty good for UNI. I use it there and for work. I think some report using it for small trips. Also pro tip never go above 16 in screen. Laptopa are never meat to replace desktops. At 17.3 better get a mobilte sff setup.

Laptop size played a huge role on selecting a backpack. So if your gear is more portable there are more options. At better prices.

Don't have the LTT bag, but do ride a bike a lot with a bag.
Pretty much any bag on your back will lead to a sweaty back, thus racks/paniers are an option as well.
Basically any bag that fits your stuff and is comfy to walk around, will be good as a bag on a bike. One thing to worry about is hanging straps but that can be tightened.

I'm biking with this at the moment, it's an Assault backpack from Nordic Army.. They're pretty cheap at about 50-ish USD.. But they last me about a year before I need to replace it..
I carry quite a bit, not including my first aid that I always have in or on the backpack.. As a minimum I want to be able to bring my laptop, powerbank, a few tools, spare tube for the bike, a change of clothes / jacket and a pair of shoes..

from what I've seen of the LTT backpack on the wanshow, it looks pretty big so it might be able to fit the stuff I carry.
As a note, I use the same backpack for travelling, dayhiking and commuting

But it's a bit scary buying such an expensive backpack without being able to test it out 😛 Next salary with vacation extras is still a few weeks away, so I still have some time to think

Tbf Apple does occasionally ship direct from China, for iPhone releases particularly. But those are a special case.

Having local inventory allows for a better understanding of stock and decreases the chance of defective products reaching customers.

Some lttstore products are also finished in Canada (namely screwdriver molding/assembly, t shirt printing, some other packaging...)
