Yes and what is even more intriguing is that i had fashioned a similar system to ltts for straping the power bar to my steel desk. Its not fancy its not cheap(strong magnets are pricy) but it has worked for a long while. I still got the ltt system to check it out.

What i find even more interesting is that you can make your own holders in CAD, use a local 3D printer business and then buy magnets in bulk. Its an excelent idea for a small shop proyect.

That's really it, the scale. If you only need a couple packs, it's quite reasonable, even comparatively to other similar things. But the moment you need a lot of the arches, or need a variety of sizes, it quickly balloons in cost.

I'm also forced to wonder about the cable tie holders, if they essentially invalidate all of the arches. Like, I get that the point of the arches is almost to avoid any cable ties, but the flexibility of the cable tie holders makes them also almost a no-brainer (and likely even easy to replicate to an acceptable degree).

Probably the killer item to me is going to be the power bar key, since I'm yet to find a 3d printable option that does it how I want, and there aren't any good retail options.

I just wonder how the keys will hold up to a more chonkier surge protector, like this one

The front edge of my desk is something like, 1.125" thick or whatever.

A steel sheet along that entire front edge would be sick, for just randomly thunking magnetic things to wherever I happen to need them.

I believe all orders are picked up from their BC warehouse by Wizmo, who then takes care of the handoff to the final courier. So for US/international orders they bring it across the border, and for Canadian orders it's possible they regionalize to some extent. With that in mind, that final courier origin/pickup scan takes place wherever Wizmo hands it off.

The new Magnetic power brick holder was exactly what I was looking for to mount this monitor power brick to the underside of my standing desk.

Had tried super gluing Velcro strips to the underside to hold it before but still get falling as they wouldn’t hold to the desk. But drilling the magnetic plates and mounting this was so easy.

Also got the magnetic cable management stuff. Although the arches look very clean and well machined the cable tie version likely offers the best value/flexibility. Depending if you are placing the ties where you may see them / hidden. And if you may add more wires in the future.

Theres a ton of overhead in having multiple locations+accounting+staff+inventory management, and it's definitely something they have been looking into a great deal over the years, since they do recognise that there'd be a lot less headaches in terms of shipping times and customs related headaches, but all those things cost very nontrivial amounts of money. Even nick and linus have acknowledged that they probably eventually will do this. But, and it's very important to realise this, it will result in little to no savings to EU customers since things in the EU would have to be priced different. Shipping costs will be significantly less sure, but the base item cost would be correspondingly higher, and most people suggesting a EU warehouse tend to forget this.

I think most professionals in the industry feel that that endeavour is not a good investment, but if you believe otherwise, its your chance.

I've worked with E-commerce companies in France. A lot of them are not handling logistics at all (outsourced to logistics companies).
Shipping containers of fully packed products to the EU or shipping them to Canada/USA is the same (meaning the shipping cost will not vary much). You can optimize a bit selecting the right port of entry in the EU, and the warehouse location.

You don't need any LTT employee in the EU to manage the sales/customer service, everything can be handled remotely through tickets (for CS), and the returns are handled by the logistics company.
Choose the right logistics partner and you have optimized costs for shipping. Small parcels cost less than 20€ shipping from France to most of the UE countries via UPS, you can optimize this cost even more changing provider.

If they are lazy (or unsure of the market), they can even test it just using Amazon... This may cost a bit more, but you don't need to hire CS specialists to handle Europe. It would be very easy to test as you can ship directly to Amazon from China...

I'm not sure this would make sense to sell tee-shirts (some of them are 9,99$, even a EU based company would not outsource logistics on small prices like this), but for the screwdriver i'm quite sure they would make a proper margin on it (and 1€ = 1,46CAD which impacts the bottom line quickly).

During my 15years working for American companies, the biggest market was always North America, the biggest margin provider was always the EU.

Additionally, my understanding is their local logistics partner handles some product packaging tasks in addition to shipping. So while shipping from China to just about any destination is heavily subsidized, adding an additional leg would significantly increase costs before accounting for the overhead associated with an additional logistics partner (not to mention the extra accounting they'd have to do for local currencies and taxes).

Hmm yeah, looks like the "Contact Us" link on the Orders page when logged into your account is a mailto: link - this requires your device have a properly configured email client.
