I hope they’re hearing us, a lot of us seem to be displeased with DHL for one reason or another. I don’t know how much of a choice they have in the matter, or if Wizmo chooses the downstream carrier, but I definitely think it would reflect better on them if DHL could be avoided when possible. That said, certainly not a dealbreaker for me, I’ll still order no matter who they ship with, even shudder LaserShip etc. but it would still be nice to have a better, more consistent shipping experience!

Yeah, I’m in East Coast USA, DHL is going to hand the package off to USPS anyway and they take longer to get it across the country and into USPS’ hands, so it’s very inefficient

In my experience the DHL>USPS handoff is often where packages get held up, though it’s been less of an issue lately. Same goes for UPS Mail Innovation and FedEx SmartPost (their equivalents of DHL eCommerce).

"Shipment data received" indicates a label being created, hence the existence of a tracking number. There should be a second "data received by carrier" message, that indicates the package entering the carrier's system.

Either way, 10 days is definitely excessive and support is the way to go.

Ultimately, can be hard to predict as there are several entities involved in the shipping process: MIBC (warehouse), Wizmo (cross-border/origin carrier), regular carrier (DHL/USPS/etc.) and sometimes last-mile carrier. Any one of those can get backed up, which can result in extended periods without updates -- particularly during handoff stages.

I enjoyed the use someone posted where the LTT logo sticker fit marvoulously on the top of their AIO cpu block, that looks like it was meant to be. I don't use stickers of any sort on anything myself though, so been grateful for non-sticker freebies.

My point was that you want to delicately hand turn with a precision driver. A ratchet would need to be extremely fine-toothed to work well. It’d also increase the thickness more than is ideal for precision work. IMO a spinning end cap is all that’s really needed.

Not having to regrip enables a constant pressure level, which isn’t ideal when dealing with small and delicate screws. And as I mentioned above, the ratchet would need to be incredibly fine-toothed for the backforce to be sufficiently low — if it’s higher than the driving force, you risk overtorquing while moving back and forth. There’s also the weight a ratchet adds, which can hurt precision.

That's actually impressively cheap for basically the opposite side of the planet. Shipping for my last order just to the other side of canada was 14.99, so going all around the world for an extra dollar isn't that bad.

But that said, yeah the trick for most people tends to be to wait on orders to buy a whole bunch in one go, since the shipping costs don't scale very fast compared to price of the order itself.

Certainly likely that you can get stuff from big brands that have locations all over the world for much cheaper shipping, but lttstore, while big by youtuber standards, is tiny in the grand scheme of things. They certainly have dicussed Europe distribution center to try to maybe possible ease shipping costs there, but theres a lot of messiness to becoming international that would lead to increased costs (possibly to the point that while shipping might be cheap, the increased base price makes up the difference) and concerns that the lack of direct linus oversight that'd lead to decreased quality and its very very messy. Not necessarily a never thing, but they have a lot of growth yet to do before it makes sense.

When/if they do break the seal on being an international company though, thenn theres hope for distribution centers in many more locations worldwide.

Haven’t tried it myself, but it should work since it’s a “1/4" to 4 mm Driver Adapter”, LTT screwdriver is 1/4" and the iFixit bits are 4mm

I’ve only had it a day or two so these are just early opinions but I would say that it’s definitely is worth the price. I normally need two bags for my work stuff but it all fits in this without feeling too heavy on, which is pretty great considering the laptop and iPads. Fits my hoodie in there as well. It did take a while to ship but that’s just how things go

I got mine first wave and must say that it is excellent for my uses. Including travel, daily carry, and shopping. Easy way to store all my devices for easy access is one of the biggest plusses for me.

Basically LTTstore charges EU VAT on orders bound for the EU, but in most cases you'll be required to pay on import even though the taxes should already have been paid. So get your import VAT receipt and order number and email support. I've done it multiple times no issue.

BTW - does anybody know why does the "leather" backpack even (going to) exist? I reckon Linus emphasizing that he doesn't want to ship garbage or ticking garbage. I look at this backpack and then I look at other apple "leather" backpacks I have seen... If there wasn't some big leap in making of the apple leather or there are huge differences in quality, then it will look abused even when taken care of.
I feel like the LTT Backpack is a backpack you don't have to worry about carrying anywhere. I wouldn't go outdoor camping with it, definitely not, it's impractical, but in comparison to the apple "leather" version... I would worry that mid-walk it starts to rain and even after wipe indoors the leather would soak and after some time ruin itself.

...and just to clarify I am not hating on the design like half the freaking Reddit or comments on YouTube. I am strictly talking about the backpack's longevity.

I've had this happen on two of my LTT blanks, as well as a few other shirts with printed labels. IIRC, Linus has mentioned on WAN that this is a known issue. The internal prints are done by their supplier overseas, whereas the actual designs are printed at a local shop. I've been extremely impressed with the print quality their local printer has been able to achieve, and how well their prints wear -- definitely wouldn't expect anything similar there. In regard to washing/drying instructions, the second symbol from the left indicates "lay flat to dry."

Highly doubt it. If you on and off the pins a ton you'd probably be able see a smidge of wear when the pin did its penetration, but its not gonna ruin strutural integrity or make the whole thing fall apart.

Linus has stated in WAN that he doesn't recommend anyone putting the pins on the backpack because then it won't be so water resistant.

Hydroflask wide lids fit perfectly

you can get them just about anywhere. Amazon, walmart, hydroflask site. Anything hydroflask wide compatible should work. I've bought a few off Amazon and no problems
