The primary reason why I think the ratchet is worth it on PC building is that it aids in staying on screws in tight places. I have had zero issues with ratchets slipping out of the screw head and accidentally scraping across the mobo, but I've certainly had a few close calls with non ratcheting drivers.
For me it's more about precision and efficiency of movement than actual need for torque.

Hello, i am not entirely sure where to post this as i am not really good at reaching out or generally aware of the usual channels (especially as i do not have twitter or most of the usual platforms that come up when people have such suggestions, so tweeting at Nick is not an option).

Last weeks WAN show, where L&L discussed the backpacks and the difficulties of offering options for the zippers gave me an idea...

Since Changing the zipper pull is one time thing, i understand swapping them is not gonna happen or be offered, therefore the pulls are unlikely to be offered standalone and i understand the reasoning there perfectly.

That said, since as Linus eluded to, during manufacture, the zippers come open and then are closed as the pull is attached... (at least according to what he said)
Would it be possible, to offer a skew for a backpack without -any- pulls attached with the option to pick a kit of pulls to attach yourself at home? That way it does not necessarily turn into multiple skews of backpacks with different pulls already attached, yet could offer some customization options, where people could maybe pick pulls from a line up of different surface treatments to be added to the package with the zipper closing tool and attach them themselves.

Maybe it's stupid, but that is what came to mind when L&L discussed the issues of potentially offering different pulls...

TLDR: Ship Backpacks without pulls attached and selection of pulls to pick from to be added to cart to attach yourself at home as a solution to variety and wear concerns?

Backpack and screwdriver don't have any special delays to them, so they'll theoretically ship in a few business days after ordering, and then tracking will probably give an estimated shipping time which will probably be similar to any other non backordered orders you've done. For me that tends to mean about a week or two as someone on the east coast.

May be stupid to ask, but for anyone from Europe who've made an order from lttstore.com (Romanian here btw, so if anyone from here would be more helpful) - I've seen that the shipping takes 14-28 days and it's standard shipping. What kind of shipping does that mean exactly? A specific shipping company (like FedEx Express, DHL etc.) or National Postal service? Also, were also some additional customs taxes that were needed to be paid? Writing as years before I had to pay 20$ additional taxes on an FPGA Basys 3 Board. (the board was 60$ at that time - discounted from 100$ as I was a student back then)

I'm thinking to finally do a bit of shopping, but I have some doubts with shipping to Europe and I want to make sure it'll arrive and not be lost (happened to other orders, but from AliExpress)

I'll try to answer best I can, but take it with a grain of salt as I am not located where you are but I do buy internationally a fair bit:
Additional taxes/customs to be paid is not something that LTT or any other company can tell you unfortunately. Those fees are charged by your country of residence as an import/goods fee for not buying locally.
I believe Shipping method would be determined by your country of residence and what the cheapest, reliable method would be. I'm from Canada, as is LTT so everything is shipped to me via Canada Post, our national postal service. However international shipments usually get handed off to a 3rd party.

In saying that, a LOT of products I order from the USA get shipped via USPS, which then hands that package off to Canada Post at the border to be completed by them.

I would assume they would ship via DHL if they do use a courier service for you, and if they don't I would assume they'd just send it via National Post which would then be completed by your local service once it arrived.

the carabiners clasp bit works great if you use them normally but will snap off uncomfortably easily if lateral force is applied, so they're designing a tool to remove and replace with something more resilliant.

Yup, I'm quite pleased with the quality bar, such that I feel like I'd be down to use/wear the products even if I didnt care about LTT as a content creator. Plus support is fantastic. Generally I've liked it for most tasks I've used it for, though there are some higher torque situations (removing wall / ceiling mounted TV stands the prior home owner had) where I did not like it.

The knurling on the shaft is very nice for small screws, like when I took apart a receiver for blowing out with an air compressor.

customs have been keeping my package, asking for a company identity related number, asking it from the transporter and not ever contacting me for the weeks they kept it
finally, I see a return-to-send mention on the tracking, receive a letter two days later (dated two weeks earlier btw) giving me an email address to fill in the missing company number (which I still don't have since I'm not a company)
after some back and forth with postal support, I have to ask the sender to contact the carrier to explain the situation and change the recipient info, they tell me they won't contact the carrier here and that it's preferrable to wait for an RTS
Issue I had with LTT support at that point is that I had full expectation that it'd just be sent back to them and they'd send it back again with the proper label, instead, I notify them that's it's tagged RTS on the tracking and they tell me I have been issued a full refund which I didn't ask for
When I ask why they did that, apparently the package isn't headed for RTS but for destruction ???
okay ??? well fuck me I guess, sadly a couple items I wanted were out of stock so I ordered something else instead for about the same value but I'm still annoyed by that turn of events
