I'd love to get a printer, but rn I am building a new workstation and am confronted with Asus saying their mobos can handle 128GB of ram, but shitting the bed half the time when I load it with the second kit....like its still 2014.

See, I could just buy one, but the space and my work flow are important. Space being in short supply, part of the workstation project is to make better storage, cabinets, shelving, and work spaces in the bedroom/office. Putting the printer next to the workstation will work after I get this section finished.

It was a mistake for them to open the "backorders". Many people interpreted that as it's available or will be very soon, and many also missed that it's a backorder with no definitive guaranteed ship date as they were still waiting on stock to arrive or be assembled. LTT should have done what they always did and just post what was available. That way, everyone could just complain they can't order because its always out of stock. Expectations from users was unrealistic for what is the current state of international shipping for what is essentially a pre-order. I also believe Wizmo has been a terrible shipping partner on top of everything else when it comes to choosing good shipping options and providing timely updates.

Linus also mentioned that he dropped the ball on customer service over the last few months with these products and not acting fast enough to respond to the influx of tickets and orders. Not providing a public or order based update on delays is unfortunate and a point that they could really improve on. But with all that said, I've ordered the Backpack, the black shaft screwdriver and multiple other clothing products over the last few months. I've so far not been disappointed by any product and I've also not experienced any issues with shipping. Sure the screwdriver took a while, but I also had that expectation from the start and if you thought differently, I don't know what to tell you.

I think the main thing they could hope for in that realm is essentially to try to make 'ltt' not actually stand for linus tech tips, either by coming up with a new backronymn or just kinda leaving it as 'ltt' without it standing for anything as far as the broader audience is concerned.

the simple solution here is to not buy LTT Merch

it’s a small team of a dozen or so people fulfilling tens of thousands of orders from one location in one warehouse, trying to do it at an exponentially growing scale, while still trying to maintain excellent customer service and keep new products flowing AND fulfill the existing orders and correct issues that arise with those orders

Linus himself has said it is unacceptable, and while they’ve been onboarding additional people and are actively attempting to mitigating the problems on their hands, these things take time

It’s not going to be overnight. Stop complaining about it, or just do what the rest of us are doing and wait to get your stuff.

I’ve ordered hundreds of dollars worth of stuff through LTT and while it’s taken extended amounts of time, I’ve never been disappointed in the quality and I’ve never regretted the wait it took to get it. I can’t say that about other brands. I’m grateful I get to support the group, get some high quality clothing and accessories out of it, and that I’m in a position where I can order this stuff in the first place.

That may be the shipping, but thats 2-5 days after it ships. It doesn't necessarily ship the day you bought it. If you check the store listing, there are multiple waves, and for example, the current wave "ships by February 10th".

The 14-28 days is the time once it ships, not from when you order. I'm surprised people complain about this, especially when you're in the server and can see everyone is in the same boat and could've checked before ordering what the shipping situation was like at the moment. Thats just nonsense. When i ordered, it said delivery would "probably" not be before christmas anymore, but would be within 14-28 days. Delivery, not shipping.
That being said, even if what you said was accurate, that time would still be exceeded in a couple days from now, and the shipping company has not even actually received the parcel yet.

You also cant expect everybody to come on one of the many discord servers they might have joined a long time ago and might not visit on the regular (or at all) to check if what's on the store website, is actually true and reliable. Simple fact is the website should state something like "We're very busy now, and very understaffed, do not expect a delivery within the next couple months". Especially when its an in-stock item and not like the screwdriver, shipping in waves and not currently in stock. Thats simple business 101.

And to be clear, if it had stated something like that, i would've been perfectly fine with it. Still am, and i understand the situation. That doesnt take away from the fact the site should clearly state this, and its annoying.

The 14-28 days estimated delivery is the time it takes once the package has left the warehouse, the time it takes once the courier has received the package and it begins it's transit to your location, not the day from when you order or from the day when the shipping label was created. That's how it works with every company. Just because the item is in stock also doesn't mean it will be shipped straight away. Small teams obviously work on a first come, first served basis, and probably still trying to get through a Christmas backlog

Incorrect it's limited due to his wanting to put out the "best possible product" they feel like the coding on the black shafts comes off too fast and way too easily and there's no way to reinforce it anymore. So they made the difficult choice to switch to a silver shaft as it maintains its look the longest as well as it's protective coating.

They basically made a black shaft because that was what they always wanted to make and they felt like that there was a strong enough following that really supported it to make a limited run. But he was very clear in that it would be limited and I don't think that he intends to bring it back

It was actually on a wanshow that they (Luke and Linus) held a poll on twitch and floatplane and I think he was kind of surprised how many people would still buy a black shaft even knowing that they get scratched and dinged and all sorts of stuff

After like five support emails and some runaround, my wave 2 blackshaft just arrived

My hoodies arrived today. I ordered the Stealth Hoodie, the RGB Hoodie, the Swacket, and a Mystery Hoodie, all in medium. The mystery hoodie ended up being the Short Circuit Hoodie. I'll have to say I feel like the sleeves of the SC hoodie are a little tight, so if you have big forearms or wrists this might be something to consider. The RGB hoodie is extremely comfy, I could live in this thing. It's like a comfy blanket as a hoodie.

If you're looking for something warm I will have to say buying something designed by people in Vancouver is definitely the way to go.

You should check what postis tracking says because it's usually more up to date after the package arrives to Finland. For example DHL says my packet is also held at customs, but when I go to postis website it says it's already out and in transport.
On that note this is the first package I didn't have to declare myself so looks like the IOSS system is finally working.

How is the seal on everyone's LTT bottle? Since I've had mine I've noticed more and more often that even if the lid is on tight it doesnt really seal great :/

I mean the majority of the time it does work, but it's becoming increasingly often that when I'm taking the first sip I hear air escaping and then the dreaded shirt-dribble

I noticed that when I screw down the lid that at some point the force required increases. Looking back at my OG screw lid there's a very clear dent where the seal hit the bottle. Not so much on my (relatively) brand new spout lid. I would assume that the tighter you screw down the lid, and the more often you do, you kinda wear out the seal...
At least that's my guess at this point...

Also helps a bit if you clean the seal. Pull it out, run it between your fingers with some dish soap to get any grime or oils off
