Not sure that is a problem or a good thing. Devs stop supporting their project, then people stop buying them, no funds for the project so the devs leave and new ones come and get the project back on track so people buy more merch. Inventory management is always an issue with apparel but this is unique.

First off, have some patience. I understand that ordering and no updates for a week or two can be frustrating. Second, its been posted here and around that they got over 12,000 orders around black Friday. They are a small team and that is a LOT of orders to process, pack, and ship. Also, Wizmo shipping will be mostly useless for updates, it usually is. Plus holiday shipping will slow anything in the mail down due to volume of everything already out there.

I've got a package that I ordered 3 weeks ago from another online retailer that is coming from Europe. It probably won't arrive in time and I'm bummed but I understand global shipping, even inter-US mail, is fubar.

No but seriously, the double walled construction does a really good job of keeping things cold. Last summer I left mine in the car's cupholder directly in the sun for 4+ hours. When I returned, the cap and outside were very warm, but the inside remained cool enough you'd think it was fresh from the fridge.

To be fair every double walled bootle i had does that, so its not exactly exclusively ltt (though its still the coolest looking one xD), but the tech is really great.

We had mixed Our own drinks for the Kieler Woche here in germany, cause they are just too expensive, and both my bottles kept the ice in there like forever, but on my current one the lid got frozen - so thats not ideal.

Also the typical left in the Sun, returned to ice cold like kirashi already said - cool tech right there.

If you want things to stay cold for longer, you should use the old screw-top lid that's also insulated. The newer spout lid isn't insulated and water doesn't cold as long since switching to it, but the convenience is a good trade-off for me

I mean it was already a huge as to do 2,000 orders a day to meet their original deadlines and they probably baked in some leeway for production or shipment issues. My guess is they probably shifted to a policy of "we've already said they'll be delayed with black shafts, so let's prioritize ensuring that every silver shaft hits the right delivery day" and then switch back to blackshaft once they've caught up I think wave two will be in January

I'd love to know what's wrong with Asendia. According to Wizmo my Wave 4 Silver Shaft screwdriver was supposedly scanned and left Vancouver already, but Asendia Tracking still just shows "Shipment Information received"...

I remember when before shipping started, I was saying it was interesting they expected to ship near 1500 drivers a day to meet their wave goals. Assuming an 8 hour work day that's a driver every 20 seconds nearly. That's without counting weekends, however doesn't account for shifts/longer days.

I interpreted that with the common definition of "on the way" but apparently it means "not on the way but maybe sometime soon".

Anyway, on the topic of driver bits: the Megapro bits are nice (I'm assuming LTT is providing bits made by MegaPro here) but if you really want a deluxe option check out PB Swiss. I'm a bit of an obsessive nerd when it comes to multi bit screwdrivers and I own a pretty wide range from Japanese, US, and European vendors. Wera is nice, I like Vessel bits (but they won't work well here), but PB Swiss is just a cut above the rest. They're crazy hard, the finish is gorgeous, and the fit is perfect.

My biggest problem w/ PB Swiss is that they're super expensive and for whatever reason, even more so in the US. I found this website from a comment in the ltt reddit: https://www.werk10.com/ They're an official PB Swiss reseller (so no counterfeit problems), they ship to the US, and the prices are the lowest I've found online.

I have two MegaPro Automotive drivers here, one purchased 10-ish years ago, another purchased this past year. These are both the same model that the LTT is based on. The 10 year old cap wobbles just a little like the video shows. This year's doesn't, but can rotate a bit if you force it (not the spinning cap feature, rather, hold the bit storage and you can force the cap to turn)

The one with the wobble I've used several times a week for more than a decade, and I never noticed that until just now when I went to check. So yeah, it does that, but I cannot imagine a situation where it would even kinda matter.

Just got my LTT driver and apparently i missed the part where they elected to change the bit storage to only hold non-standard, shorty driver bits.

Compared against an OG megapro here that uses the normal kind of 1.25" bits you find literally anywhere. Otherwise... well it's a megapro with the ratchet direction change reversed so that it works backwards and $40 added to the price tag.

This won't be a popular opinion here but I'm pretty disappointed. The low backdrag is nice, the knurling is a nice touch (though needs to be knocked down a bit, a little emory paper will solve that easily).

Otherwise, they've taken a well established $40 driver, made it worse, and doubled the price.

It's just such a weird design decision. Like, reversing the drive mechanism is crazy but they explained the reasoning. I strongly disagree and there's several good reasons why nearly every other driver on the market works the other way, but it's an intention design decision and I get it.

The reasoning was partially having a smaller driver and one that better fit in Linus' hands, and the magnetic force would be better the shorter the bits.
Overall, look at how much less space the LTT takes up over the megapro. I know which I'd rather shove in my pocket for daily use

My husband ordered black shaft. I ordered silver. We ordered separately on the same day, but he ended up a wave behind me from ordering later in the day. I've been letting him borrow mine, but it lives at my workbench 🙂 I've had mine for weeks now. I expect he'll get his in about a month. It seems crazy that we are so disparate having ordered the same day to the same address from the same place, but the day we ordered they got many tens of thousands of orders. He's way behind me in line and he's in a slower line (black shaft) to boot, and that's just the way it is. He wants his screwdriver (even more now that he's gotten to use one), but he isn't mad. It'll get here when it's his turn.

They are shipping screwdrivers in order number order at a rate of probably 2000 per day. You are essentially standing in a virtual line that is moving a little slower than anticipated.
