LTT has been using them since at least 2021 and have fulfilled over 332,000 orders through them (based on order numbers incrementing by one for each order, my order in June 2021 was ~150k, my order on Friday was 482k).
It looks like they are a small-ish Canadian company based in the Toronto area who does more or less exactly what I guessed they did - they work with 30+ carriers, LTT only has to deal with them.

My bed came with a ratcheting Allen wrench and now I want a socketed one. Wera makes one but their catalog is confusing. I think the bits for the ltt screwdriver wouldn't get big enough to have all sizes in typical Ikea furniture, monitor arms, etc plus you need right angle for some spaces.

I just got my LTT backpack a week ago, I plan do a video review on it after I've had it for a month or two and travel with it

It naturally fits three laptops, 16" M1 Pro, 14" M1 Max and 12" MacBook 2017

One cannot express how much i love that thing, everything i want to carry feels like its in a Spot perfectly made for this exact thing.

One thing i have to say. Though Linus said its build so the Laptop is more or less shock absorbed, no its not.

The Laptop is just on the bottom (but to be fair the fabric is very thick so still better than any other backpack i had) and you dont want to put the backpack on the ground like you would without a Laptop in it.

I have a major criticism with the backpack design..... the laptop sleeve is WAY too small. I can't even fit my 15 inch laptop in it. Linus said 17 inch laptops can fit in it I call bullshit

Zippers should be fine, ykk is broadly regarded as the number 1 zipper brand. If they really are having issue probably contact support. It's the carabiners that have some issue with lateral force that they'll planning on replacing once they settle on a new design.

Supports pretty good, they'll figure things out with you. They might still be a bit backlogged with all the screwdriver and backpack things happening so response time might be less than impressive, but every story I've heard from people interacting with support (+my own experiences) have resulted in people leaving happy when they do get to them.

I was thinking about that too. They have 2 very new popular products, that were open for orders basically at the same time.
The workloads that are facing isn’t normal, in theory after the backpack and screwdriver waves are complete, their support load will drop again.
My gut feel is that they’re not going to hire for the peak, as they may soon have too many staff

On the flip side, they seem to be making products at a faster rate than before, and will sell at a faster rate than before. So I see more support being useful long term too

That's a bummer. I'd tell em to ship it with the replacement zipper carabiners whenever they get around to that. Otherwise, it's literally your run of the mill carabiner, you should be able to pick one up for $2 or so at your local hardware place.

Yeah pretty sure they're still determining the fix. It's possible by the time new orders ship they'll have settled on something and be able to include it, but everyone is likely to have the original carabiner for awhile (although everyone who does get the original one will get the new version shipped to them when it is settled on).

I'm not sure I'd go as far as to call it a fundamental flaw since the bag is pretty effective for all it's intended use cases (which wouldn't involve lateral force on those carabiners, which are intended primarily to just latch together and keep the zippers from shaking open), but it's totally fair to consider that a unreasonably weak point (which is why they're gonna fix it). Linus tends to personally use merch for awhile until he's happy before it actually goes on sale, so if your use case is the same as his, you're probably safe. If you do things differently form him then things might get dicier.

People have made 3d printed versions which is an easy solution in the short term for those with access to a 3d printer, but nick has acknowledged the desire for an official bit holder. They'll probably do something eventually but it's probably a ways out.

TBH I haven't seen/felt how you would break the pulls unless you got extremely unlucky or were trying. I do have large hands though so I tend to grab basically the entire carabiner.

The one issue I've noticed however is that the bag straps tend to adjust themselves when the bag is sitting. I think the bag is gonna work well for what I purchased it for but the strap issue is something I'm gonna have to figure out if I'm going to use this bag a lot.

They've been in a balancing act there. The distribution folk have been preprinting pretty far in advance in order to make things as fast as possible for them once they do get the stuff to ship out the door (so it does ultimately speed up the process), but it's kind of backfired since people see no further changes for awhile and get upset, and then in turn hit up support about it which is related to the backlogs there. Nick has since told them to preprint less, but it's been a messy learning experience for everyone in the chain.
