Well getting the pull itself off wouldnt be bad, just bend till it breaks. But getting a new one on isnt really doable without replacing the whole zipper mechanism

yeah guess this is an issue very few people think about. I had some zippers die when the pull gets stressed and brake but the zipper itself lasts long time after. I have an old jacked that zipper pull broke after the first day but i have worn it for 10+ years now.

Warranty stuff is up there when considering anything, but most important is this community. The asepticism here is what keeps the product honest. If Linus was a cult I would not consider his stuff. There are tons of photo backpacks out there that are made to the cult followers and I rather stay away from that. I like that we can talk how the zippers are shit so now I know I should be gentle with them, to be honest i have to save for this backpack. so i am still looking for community feedback. I would like Jerry to try and purposely brake the dam thing just to see what to expect.

I was fortunate and received my wave 1 backpack. My wife is still waiting for hers. Taking it in its first plane ride today and have to say it so far exceeds all of my lofty expectations. I kept just putting more and more and more stuff into it until I ran out of stuff before it ran out of space.

There are a lot of good youtube videos out there explaining what's been happening for the last few years at major shipping ports, but the simple breakdown is, more stuff on boats which in turn is piling more stuff up at ports, taking longer to offload, taking longer to move and taking longer to get out. Worker shortages, driver shortage and more stuff means things take longer to arrive and move out of ports. Supply chain issues is exactly that, every backup compounds how long it takes to move something to the next step in the shipment process

Yeah they’re shipping a kit with a new carabiner (yet to be determined which design, they showed some candidates), and also a normal zipper pull so you can choose what to replace it with

They’re also coming up with an injection molded tool that can be used to do a one-time install of the replacement

the spring style it had only worked for the open close method intended, but just sort of bent if pushed from side to side
