Hey everyone,
Unfortunately, we have to share some bad news today. Due to a large number of port delays in Vancouver we are going to miss the September 20 ship date for the remainder of wave 1 backpacks.
 
We're just as disappointed as anyone to deliver this news. At this point, all we can offer is total transparency on what has happened so far. Shipping delays are familiar in our business, and we allocated what felt like an appropriate buffer for those expected delays - our first shipment of backpacks was supposed to arrive by August 28, and we felt that 3 weeks (plus a few days to ship the backpacks out from our warehouse) would be enough to cover any standard delay, given current market conditions. Unfortunately, 3 weeks was not enough in this case as we're seeing delays of over 6 weeks on this first shipment of backpacks. Here is the series of updates we've received from our shipper over the last few months:
Port appointments and updates can be somewhat random in this industry, so we were hoping that adjustments to other shipments would cause backpacks which were meant for subsequent waves to arrive prior to this group, which would then be used to fill wave 1 orders. We have received 2 containers of backpacks so far (which have been shipped out to the first 3,000 wave 1 customers), but we're still waiting on the bulk of these shipments as all active vessels are experiencing port delays.
 
As more containers arrive, you will still be the first shipments out the door from our warehouse. Holding your place in line here will still be the fastest way to get your LTT backpack. Based on current estimates, we expect to have all wave 1 backpacks shipped out in early October, assuming that currently posted delivery schedules hold up.
 
We sincerely apologize for the delay here, and we appreciate your patience as we continue working to expedite the process on our side.

The date they’ve given is I believe when they plan on having every order shipped for that wave. And considering each wave is 15k units it probably means they’re planning on shipping 1500 a day or something akin to that

If they were doing consistent daily shipments

Just because that’s a ton of orders to process for any shipping department

Especially combining screwdrivers with other pieces of orders unless they’ve done that ahead of time which is entirely possible and probably likely.

Because just to think. If they were shipping a consistent 1500 a day, 8 hour work days, but including weekends as working days, that’d be a driver packed and ready to ship every 20 seconds.

That’s over a 10 day span

I fully expect screwdrivers to start shipping early

Because remember, while these are drivers alone they’ve still got other orders to send out in that time too. And pair a screwdriver with incomplete orders they’ve had sitting about

A note on the back compartment. If you have the max size laptop in there plus a tablet /w a case on it, the back zipper is hard to close. I took the tablet out of the sleeve. The 3 back sleeves really can only hold 1 laptop or three thinner tablets/notebooks. There's not much play in the sleeves

Honestly as long as you don't have the other pouches bulging to the brim and you make sure to cover the sharp corners, your case should be fine.

Sadly, even kevlar can wear away over time, so I'd definitely just keep the sharp corners either covered or maybe look into a bag that can fit over the sff for travel. (Hides it from prying eyes, too.) Kinda like a travel pouch with strings that slips over. Nothing fancy.

i wouldn't put anything sharp in it without protection. The back section is all canvas material, which is pretty tough, but the roomier front section that would fit a sff has a silkier material on the front that would probably rip easier

Sorry, been gone all day. Your best bet is to either find a local seamster or check Etsy. The latter shouldn't be too hard, as a lot of people who call neoprene covers will accept custom orders. But if you want to do it yourself, look up "scuba fabric" (or neoprene scuba, neoprene fabric, etc.). It comes with the light fabric cover over the neoprene, which you want for easy sliding.

I haven't had that many IOSS issues either, like my post office tracking will usually show customs already paid well ahead of the package actually getting here, I did have a problem with one Amazon order shipped from Jersey but the seller gave me IOSS number so I was able to provide customs with that and the process worked like normal and I didn't have to pay anything extra

Pretty much everything with out system is automated but it requires the package to come with the correct information or if it's missing for some reason seller can still provide it to customer who will declare package with info and it works, sometimes I doubt anybody even sees most of the declarations

For me the shitty thing is that the Finnish Post Office will charge me extra 2,9€ handling fee for the manual declaration which I wouldn't have to pay if the system worked as intended or if I was able to provide the IOSS number

Important to note, the 21/40oz pocket will fold up flat against the side of the bag, so keeping a 64oz in the big pocket takes up no more room than if the dedicated pocket fit it.

The backpacks are loaded on to the ship in an unpredictable order. And then unloaded in an unpredictable order. The number on the box is for the backpack manufactured at the factory. Not when it was shipped

Thanks, that seems to describe the backpáck. Not the box it comes in. I need to know the size and weight on the shipping so i can get the total cost. I use a currier that is 1000% cheaper and safer than LTT direct shipping to my neck of the woods, so i need the shipping package dimensions and weight.

yes, for central america mail is never getting here. It gets stolen in the way very often so its best to use a currier. Also mail adress is not required. Home adress is not the same as mail adress here.

is there anybody with LTT backpack willing to share some tips?
I am most curious on how you solved your straps from dangling. As I am really slim...I have those straps pretty long around my waist. Thankfully the design and placement of them makes it stay from my hands when walking and it's not even visible all that much (especially as I wear darker shades).
But still. I am coming from XD Design backpack(s) and those had like a elastic ring:

Packing for a work trip and funny enough i think the backpack is a tad to small

I know they have those pockets for laptops, but my macbook and gaming notebook (16 inch and 15.6 inch) wont fit at the same time

And it def wont fit 17 inch if its thick

To fix this in a future revision, if those sleeves were a bit bigger, that would help a lot

Actively monitoring this situation with the carabiner zipper pulls on our backpack. Engineering is working through some ideas for upgraded replacements (hopefully user serviceable) and I'm getting on a call with our supplier tonight. We'll have a more official update this week.

If it's just the pull that needs to be replaced, that should be doable. The slider has a hook shape that holds the pull, it should be possible to remove one pull for another.
If the issue is with the slider, I'm not sure, I've never replaced one on a zipper before
