And betting 99% it’s Hacksmith
Considering their builds and what Linus said, sponsorships for them do cost a lot yet
Even if it's just for the durability test, p. sure that if he doesn't get sent a creator edition one, that he'll buy one to test xD
Then again, it's not a phone, so I dunno
Unsure if he’d make anything more than a short for the screwdriver. He is a phone guy
I’d like to see one go to mrwhosetheboss, however I feel he wouldn’t have much use. Doesn’t really focus on anything per teardowns, just phone tech
So I doubt he’d be getting one
P. sure one of the red ones goes to MKBHD (I don't think anyone has a doubt 'bout that)
Hacksmiths colors are also black/white aren’t they? If they were the sponsorship could also make sense
Linus giving the Powerloader a tech makeover is the content i dream of
oh god the orange
I can imagine the butt hurt video that GN puts out if they don't get a screwdriver
you say that like they wouldnt just buy one if they wanted one.
GN aren’t Linus haters. They’ve simply disagreed with recent positions Linus has taken, and called him out for it I feel.
https://twitter.com/geerlingguy/status/1567552944064630785
The black/white one went to Jeff Geerling.
There is a imgur gallery attached with more photos of it as proof
Wonder how much each of those cost to produce lol
Soon ™️
Ngl these taxes + shipping to france are turning me crazy
The same as the regular screwdriver, the only thing they had to do differently was run the endcap and ring molds with a different color plastic, they didn't show those molds in the screwdriver video so it is possible that they couldn't have made just 1x of each color as the molds are likely multiple (The screwdriver handle mold itself is two). So outside of the cost of any of the specific colored plastic the only increased cost really would be the labor to swap out the plastics after only doing 1 round of each color.
What I was referring to was the labor costs, labor is expensive, and it’s pretty labor intensive to switch plastic color, organize the color switch, delivery to creators, etc etc
It's be pretty cool of them if they started offering more colors once they're through the initial release run, and they can start having screwdrivers in stock, ready to ship out
I don't think they were planning on selling the other colors?
~~https://twitter.com/linusgsebastian/status/1566344012889751552~~ nvm Linus was talking about towel colours as Nasphreak rightly pointed out
If you read .... that is in response to the towels not the screwdriver
yeah so the cost would be much, much higher on a per driver basis
unrelated to that
what are the odds one of those pops up on the resale market 5 years from now lol
Considering the limited number, and the thought that these are going to creators who’ve asked, I doubt it.
doubtful, but when creators move and everything else that happens in life, a lot of this kind of stuff shows up in an auction or something
@chaschuky999 @Nicholas_Basso Yep! Unfortunately our distributor printed labels a little early. Printing will be done this week and they’ll ship as soon as they’re ready 😁
hehe, that's me
thanks!
hopefully before that happens we get a few color options. lowering the coolness a bit
Imo the coolness factor for most ppl probably doesn’t come from the actual color, but from the story of X creator owned this and it was custom made for them by LTT
bruh wizmo is dog water
i have to try it like 10 times before it decides to load the info
also my backpack is coming today
also not sure if its ok to share this here but lmk
💤
that vid is just becoming the rick roll of this channel
That video has been shared many times previously
I was running into that Wizmo "too many requests" issue. Opening the link in a new browser should help (until it eventually gets that error too)
And if Wizmo is going to hand it off to another carrier (like UPS), once that hand-off happens you should be able to track on that other carrier's site
Have u guys seen this? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=845HUaWYSQA

Repost it in a few days. I cant watch it atm
Or else I'll forget
honestly are you memeing?
its hard to tell sometimes
There's no way that's not a meme
Had to rock the chrome LTT stickers in my pc to match my oldschool (2006) thermaltake case screws
Hi, I just wanted to pop in and ask if it was normal to not have a support answer after 10 days? I don't mind, but I just want to make sure my ticket wasn't forgotten or something 😄
It’s not normal and you’ve not been forgotten. They’ve had a consistent backlog of 2000-3000 tickets since the backpack launched a few weeks ago, which has only gotten worse with the launch of the screwdriver last week. They’ve doubled their support team (from 2 to 4) and they’ll get round to your ticket eventually.
Alright, thanks!

Did you get it? lol\
shipping has been delayed everywhere so not surprising if you didn't
7pm british time?

you'll get an update at 11PM undelieverable or delayed delivery til tomorrow, happens a lot to me
wait all day for a package just for no delivery attempt
When they say delivery attempted but u were there the whole time waiting so u know j
Its bs
Most likely they just didn't load it on the truck or it was still waiting to be processed but the automatic system said it should have been on the truck.
oh I have cameras, I know if they say delivery attempted it's BS lol
Oooh. My backpack has a tracking number. A ship must have gotten through the port
Are they still shipping the first 1500 or have they received more?
I'm in wave one, but I don't think I was first 1500
First 1500 is long shipped. Anyone in that group should know.
some ppl said they had packages on the border for a while
but anyways, if there are more shipping do we know how many got sent out?
There was at least 2 different backpacks going to northwest US states which took a detour to Australia. I assume more than we know about did this too, since I'd guess they shipped a pallet destined for a large distribution center to the wrong place.
Found my reply. One reported it on Twitter and one here. #lttstore message
Twitter for customer service is one of the most obnoxious things
at least it doesnt block you from seeing threads like that
Just wanted to share some thoughts and pics of my backpack I got yesterday. My order was one that sat from "Parcel Departed Terminal" on 08/31 until UPS started updating on 09/06 "Origin Scan" in Redmond, WA and I got it yesterday 09/08 in California.
The only quality issue I could see is the chest strap had some marks or dirt on it right in the middle. Box was sealed and it was still wrapped in plastic so not sure how that happened. I emailed support to make them aware but its not urgent since I don't plan to use it anyway. Hopefully when they have some spares I can just replace that part since it is removeable.
One design issue that doesn't make sense is that pens / pencils bottom out before they hang by their clip on the very front pocket. Can see the same thing on the product pictures as well.
Not an issue with the backpack but the 2 battery banks I have fit perfectly in the pockets, but are too big to plug in a cable and use the passthrough.
Its pretty big. I have a flight next week and will see if it fits under the seat in front of me on Southwest. After traveling I'll post a review on the store page.
My box said 8198 of 9700. Pics: https://imgur.com/a/Umz7j7H
LTT watching the Project Farms video: "Yea, Project Farms. Yea, science!"
If you didn't get that I'm disappointed in you
Does anyone know if iFixIt bits will fit in the LTT Screwdriver? I believe they are 1/4" bits but include an adapter for 4mm if that's needed. I know that 12 wouldn't fit inside of the screwdriver but I just want to know. I was thinking about just getting the iFixIt Pro Tech Toolkit rather than the LTT Screwdriver (for just $5 more), but I believe I want to get the LTT Screwdriver with the Mako Driver Kit.
The one thing making me think about not getting the LTT Screwdriver is the long waitlist for wave 6 by now (and I likely can't order for a little while) so I might not even get it until next year...
However, it literally looks like the most perfect screwdriver.
What are you trying to fix
The LTT driver is not a precision driver. It’s a ratcheting driver
If you’re fixing something that needs precision bits, go with ifixit
The ifixit kit is much more versatile for everything pc and tech
The screwdriver never should’ve included a Y000 bit
It’s about usecase
Just like you wouldn’t use an ifixit driver to properly build a PC as it’s tiny. The LTT driver is too huge for precision work
Ifixit is for phones. Laptops. Tablets. Maybe controllers and consoles
I’d actually use the LTT driver for a Playstation or Xbox
That’s where I’d say they might be interchangeable
Right around home console size devices
As I have repaired consoles with the ifixit in the past but the LTT driver would seem reasonable
While maybe slightly undersized, i have had no issue using the pro tech toolkit screwdriver to build all of my PCs
There's only a handful of actually large screws that i feel like the LTT would be good for like case screws
My backpack just arrived and I think it has a defect. One of the main straps connecting to the bottom of the bag (the adjustable part) is not fully looped through
The thick part at the end that prevents the adjustability from coming completely loose isn’t actually thread in
And because it’s the thick part I can’t exactly just push it through
pic?
oh thats weird
I can’t just stick the thick part back through
Right that'd be tough its twiple wide
wow thats a massive fuckup
What was the argument for why they use aluminum strap thingies
I've never heard of one breaking before
They're strong asf.
I don't think the one in the photo broke, I think the strap managed to end up out of the buckle and doesn't fit back in.
I see, thank you.
The problem is that I'd possibly want to do all kinds of repair, as in having a catch-all screwdriver without breaking the bank.
i know his strap isnt broken
The main thing I'd need a screwdriver for is my space heater gaming laptop, but other use cases could be possible.
No it literally is a space heater lmfao
but I feel like the only thing metal straps would do is marr up the straps quicker
i have no idea though i will have to see when i get mine
So, moral of the story, should I just stick with the iFixIt Pro Tech Toolkit?
I don't know for fact, but I'd assume it won't be too bad for the strap. They're certainly stronger than the typical cheap plastic buckle, which is a plus.
buckle thats what theyre called
I'd actually be able to get it for my birthday (November 21st) and it's only $5 more than the screwdriver itself.
Then I get everything else as well, like the cool suction cup thingy and jimmy
If you need precision drivers just get the ifixit kit.
I don't exactly know what I need.
I mean, I take off the screws on the bottom of the PC and pry off the case, and then sometimes I take off the little screws for the fans/heatsink to access the CPU/GPU (have done this before for thermal paste replacement (yes it was still a space heater afterwards))
you dont need 70 dollars of anything just to take the screws off ur pc door
Ik, but it just seems nice in case I want to do other repairs.
But I would say the IFIXIT then
Maybe replacing my phone battery with the max capacity of like 73%
theres no way you'd want to use the ltt driver for replacing a gpu cooler
and a phone, ifixit as well
Not replacing that
Just the thermal paste
Lol I'm going overkill, aren't I?
That's good, though, just like the LTT Router
https://images.tnologymc.com/U4KyHswmDST5ZhYw If I had the money, this would be nice.
yeah thats too much
I think he just meant opening a GPU or whatever is a bit small for the LTT driver.
I see.
That also applies to the insides (and sometimes outer shell) of laptops.
Here is a screw that was in my gaming laptop
It's not anymore due to the fact that the hole screw holder thing came off of my laptop's motherboard, idk why
I'd just think of a the LTT driver as more for household standard sized screws (pc thumbscrew category of screws), and go with an ifixit or other precision set if you're going mainly for smaller electronic screws. You'll need to have both at some point, but where you allocate budget depends on your own day to day.
Okay.
I do have a household screwdriver somewhere for a flathead and probably a philips.
Therefore, I might just want to get the iFixIt one.
Getting the Pro Tech Toolkit seems like the right move to me, however, as I can then get a lot more than a screwdriver and some bits.
I GOT IT
?

https://images.tnologymc.com/ZVfdMpDBqumpI5hJ Really though
oh well also I should have said this whole time
Even comes with a rolling case thing
If you dont currently have a ratcheting screwdriver, don't buy the fkin ltt one
Looks amazing
Oh
Why not?
because you have no idea if you need a large ratcheting screwdriver, dont go spend 70 dollars on smth you have no idea if u neewd
Okay.
Buy the fixit, and get the $13 amazon basics ratcheting screwdriver
then if you like using teh ratchet get the LTT
I don't have that much money
all the more reason not to gamble on a big ratcheting driver
got me backpack
how is it
when were u supposed to get it
7
Were you the "7pm delivery" from a couple hours ago?
yeah
nice
2 hours late?
yes
oh no!
WELLLLLLLLLLLL
And here I am with my shipping changing from Tuesday to Wednesday -_-
usually when it doesnt come by 7 it gets delayed
since its friday i woulda had to have waited til monday 7pm
Update: after literally pulling non stop with pliers and an insane amount of force I actually got it through. Still going to contact support because it shouldn’t be like that for a $250 backpack. At least I don’t have to wait months for a new one though.
W QC
So the fan art that Linus mentioned in stream (apparently the word for the genre of art is censored), how long until we have an LTT shirt with the art on it?;
hey guys
Ok finally opened my backpack
This thing is so nice I almost don't even want to use it
So cooooooollll
Love the deep zippers
Feels a bit too big to be an every day backpack
for the bag of holding i wish the zippers went all the way down as well on both sides but one side cant due to the side pocket
i also think it would look way cooler without the side pocket, but it is useful and i can already tell i will be using it a lot
linus says it is fine, however he rides a more upright bike(SV650)
and post it on ltt store as well
im happy
Is there a delay on shipping the screwdriver and backpack internationally (Australia)? I got in wave 1 for both the second they were available but haven't gotten any shipping notifications while I've seen others have
No delay yet, backpack wave 1 should ship before September 20, screwdriver before October 20
The backpacks are going out 150p at a time, as they receive containers
No screwdrivers have been shipped, except a few for review
unfortunate
there were so many screwdrivers in the LTT screwdriver video
i wonder why they're not ready for ship out yet
They may have sold them at the popup
They are still in the expected times though, they have over a month to ship 15k
Darn idk if I'm included in that
Quinn got the light blue, in the first pic but twitter cropped it
Still no shipping notif or ticket reply. Tapping my feet
Woop, order came!
Surprisingly didnt have any issues with it coming into the UK
no double tax, and no custom charges (woo!)
my backpack shipped
First four digits of order number please
328612 😛
bought it like 15 minutes after I got the email
Original order number 3270XX and overlooked, so much for keeping my place in line
Shipping address change after they’d “figured out a solution” to keep one’s place in line
oh, so they basically cancelled your original order to create a new with the new shipping address?
Nope, because WAN Hoodie had already shipped I bought the backpack a second time, let them know both order numbers and they refunded me the first
Shopify won’t let them do that even with unshipped orders
Thats not easy. Not even just an LTT thing, most sites I've ordered from have issues doing that. Not a typical issue their ready for
I am once again asking nicklmg on Twitter for etc etc
I guess it can be iffy, especially if shipping cost changes
not really looked much into it tbf
they could have just put you back in wave 1, so yea some places back but still earlier than you otherwise would have ordered.
Going by this I should have stayed in the first 1,500, had they actually kept my place in line https://twitter.com/nicklmg/status/1561877556348866560
@21BDP21 If you do need to change address, we've implemented a way to keep your spot in line. @AdamPilolla and @itsjonzi should be able to help out with ensuring that happens!
I recently changed my address as well and had a mini heart attack when I got the response as “your order has been canceled, buy new one with the correct address”
I won’t be able to relax until both of my orders are in the hands of whatever Canadian courier service they end up using
What’s your other order?
@nicklmg @21BDP21 @itsjonzi I will add that you may have been told otherwise about address changes in the past. If anyone reading this has been told that address changes can't be done w/o losing your place in line, reach out again and we'll fix it for you.
Awaiting TMB shirt printing
Nice
Any info on how many backpacks are shipped now?
~3,000
what backpack order numbers are we on rn?
i'm on #3311XX leaving on a 2 week long vacations (shipping to eu) ... and i'm kinda afraid of them shipping out when i'm away and it arriving when i'm still away
anyone from eu can comment on shipping times for backpack from experiance?
Shouldn't matter that you're away
Most couriers if you're away will either just put it inside of a rubbish bin or something, or they'll leave it with a neighbor
Failing that they'll just leave a note telling you to pick it up at their depo
noone left in the building
ye but it's usually for like up to 72 hours here
not really an option here
.... hmm... hope there'll be no issue and things work out
well they rated the shipping time for 14-28 days - i hope they won't outdo themselves 😉
Expect it to be late
Delivery services as a whole have been slow in europe
It's been like 3 years since I've last had something arrive on time 😂
Same which is worrying me I was definitely top 3000 If I remember correctly since sleepy martyn watched orders go from 8000 to 4000
And tweeted at linus man he a dumbass
Yeah
Does it deform like at all? What would happen if you sat on it while it was laying backside-down?
Just don't do that
Kinda sad my bag hasn’t shipped yet. I have an upcoming trip
I actually do want to know because storing a bag that is incapable of folding up in any way is gonna be annoying
oh yeah thats definitely true
I guess I'll need a nice 50 liter cube to store it in
Btw
It's honestly an interesting order to me
I was expecting the black shafts side by side
im surprised how similar the last 2 are
black cap silver shaft would have been my buy
i thought black shaft would get barely any buys
especially because linus stated the black colour comes off easily
Because anyone paying $70 for a screwdriver is an LTT fanboy
Of course we want the orange accent
its a good screwdriver not just because its LTT
Yeah but its an expensive af screwdriver, and most ppl dont need a ratcheting driver
true
Yeah but who is buying the screwdrivers, LTT fans
I got an orange / black for myself
Black / silver for my fiance and best friend
whale moment
I believe in the product , Linus is a highly critical control freak. I can't think of a better person to buy a product from.
Maybe, but I wouldnt buy one for someone who has never used a ratcheting screwdriver before for a significant amount of time
I just want my driver 😁 ima wait patiently
Bc my dumb self bought the orange/black and black shaft
orange with black shaft is offputting to me im not sure why
Wow all black stealth is the least popular that's what I got lol for both shafts
Guess I can’t say much. I bought one of each for my self. Then two for my dad and brother in law.
Jesus
I bought the black shaft screwdriver for display and the silver shaft for work
I have a black/orange for display and a black/black for work
😂
I’ll have one in my backpack, my work shop, my camper and one at my shop tool box. Been saying for a few years when they come out I’d replace ever screw drive I have with it lol. Same with the backpack I’ve needed a new one for a year and a half and wouldn’t buy one.
Being a manual machinist, and welder by trade. And gun smith by hobby, atv/side by side tinker and back woods camping you never know how many times you need one and it’s in a diff building for shop lol
I'll be honest I've been thinking about getting the amazon basics 12 in 1 ratcheting screwdriver tbh
I don't think the company I work for would honestly spend the money for the 14 I think technician's we have on staff for the ltt screwdriver (not including the engineers) so might get the amazon basics one to trial while I wait for the ltt one to be delivered to me
For the money they are really good.
That's why I'll get the company to order one for me and I'm gonna test it and choose to either recommend or not to supply them to our staff
Also it will probably be free anyway
Oh ya 70$ for a screwdriver would be a hard sell to the average company. I don’t know if I could approve that for my shop lol
I just realised that project farm didn't include the amazon one
You could probably convince them to go for the automotive megapro
Do it, don't go $70 deep on a screwdriver type you havent used before
I bought 2 LTT screwdrivers already lol but i can get the amazon one for free lol
im thinking more about the staff at the company i work for and tbh when my ltt one comes in ill probably give away the amazon one
Ah
7x the price for a driver with meh warranty, that's kinda a gamble
maybe they would be down for replacing damn near anything if u buy like 20 tho
ill be honest every product ive bought from ltt has held up
waterbottles, clothes, jackets, everything
someone smashed my water bottle as hard as they could into the sticking out corner of a wall, popped the dint out and still works great
and tbh i used a racheting screwdriver before and i hated it XD
itsa weird seeing like 20 amazon basic screwdrivers with different names and colours
also the amazon basic is what i thought we would be getting with the ltt screwdriver which is 3 philips, 3 torx, 3 flat head and 3 hex but i dont mind ltts choice 🙂
That’s the automotive model I was mentioning
That one has a built in magnet too
being honest i doubt they wanna spend $50 on a screwdriver either
that does look good, not as good as the ltt but good, basics one will have to do
It would have been nice if the team sent some backpacks to edc bag reviewers or something similar to the screwdriver
Yeah you'd think they would do that
Nope, not a single non-ltt backpack video on youtube yet
“Best ratcheting screwdriver for building PCs” vs “Best backpack for Linus Sebastian”
There’s so much more variety in the backpack space that it would be difficult to review objectively
First, there's no need for a review to be objective, there should just be more perspectives and reviews of things to consider
Also, I would like to see exactly how the build quality is, things regarding that can be objectively observed
There weren’t people screaming about having 3rd party reviews for these
Yeah, not entirely sure why there werent
besides the fact that ppl blindly trust that ltt showed every fault and feature perfectly accurately
I would have enjoyed seeing it tested in build quality against my current edc bag the 5.11 brand. I mean Linus said it's a well built bag so why not let some edc reviewers have some fun with it
why would I get an LTT screwdriver if I already have a bit ratcheting screwdriver, and the ifixit manta
Good question, do you want a marginally better driver?
I don't find myself using the ratcheting function much
then i dont see a reason why you'd want it
cool, good to know
how do you know its only marginally better? did you get one at the popup and been comparing it between the two? if so you should post some pics or vids demoing it.
Hey guys, I just came across this video. I don't know if it's been posted before but they reviewed the screwdriver!
https://youtu.be/845HUaWYSQA
Brands: LTT, PB Swiss, Snap On, Wera, GearWrench, Williams, Irwin, Megapro, Milwaukee, Klein Tools, Husky, Lenox, SATA and Black+Decker. Ratcheting screwdrivers compared for efficiency, precision, and durability. Tests include working arc swing, ratchet back drag, magnet strength, bit retention strength, build quality (shaft wobble), shaft rota...
It's a good ratcheting screwdriver, competitive with the luxury brands, and carrying a moderate merch tax
Unless you want to support the channel, you might regret how much you spent on it, but you shouldn't regret having it in your toolbox
Thats a good way to put it
With light use I don’t see why I’d need another driver for a very long time.
That’s most of my justification
Even with heavy use it should still hold up well, based on the PF rankings it and the PB Swiss were decently clear of 'the rest' and if the locked rachet play worries you then just use a fixed handle driver.
Okay but I honestly think if im not bashing it against stuff that an amazon basics ratchet would also last 3 years
but I have no desire to use a ratcheting driver, so i really got no clue at all
And it's perfectly fine to not be the target market
Just means you'll have more money to throw at cable ties and magnetic cable tiedowns
I would find it interesting if they could do a general fixed driver, but with bit changing and an extra long shaft
I think there would be a very limited market for that, especially in PC building enthusiasts
Usually takes about a month, I got my shipping notification yesterday so guess I’ll find out 😛 shipping to Norway
They'd be competing more directly with ifixit, and as long as there are interchangeable bits, it wont be great for tight fit locations like the shielded pcie bracket screws
mine has departed terminal 10 days ago now... so hopefully in the next few days it updates
For a fixed driver, personally, I'd probably buy the GN kit instead if supporting the industry, or wiha / wera / etc.
No I’m thinking like foot long shaft
Extra long shaft drivers exist
I’ve got a few at work I use
Yes. That requires me to carry multiple drivers if they’ve got different heads
The point of having interchangeable bits is to avoid that
I'm curious though. Why would you want that to be a fixed shaft?
Vs a ratcheting mechanism with a long shaft, and just dealing with a bit of slop, but having more options in a single tool
Ive tried to bust up one of those bottles in a fit of rage that im not too proud of. But honestly it held up wayy better then i expected it to vs a factory floor lmao. Took alot to get to the point of needing replacement. Could probably still use it around the house if i wanted to.
Mine wasn't in a fit of rage, someone broke into my locker, did it and then just left it on top spitefully with the massive dint in it, I went ape shit then
kk thx
Whats your order number
he rite
with the rachet having play when locked so the rachet works to start screws yeah probably not worth you getting it lol
Can we just take a moment to think that the LTT screw driver has a bigger shaft then linus himself.
Just placed my first LTTStore order, driver, bits, 40oz and a mystery 21oz bottle. I wasn't expecting the extra taxes on top but hey, it'll be worth it. Now to wait for shipping over to here in the UK
As a tech enthusiast I had to get both the Backpack and the Screwdriver asap. The additional cost for shipping do Germany did surprise me a bit at first, but after Linus explained it I totally understood the reason and want to support his enterprise even more.
Recently I was looking into storage gear for working out. I wondered how people normally wear their smartphone, battery bank and cables when movement or location does not allow for a backpack or carrying belt around the waist. I bought several crappy upper arm contraptions for holding a smartphone, but they all failed to impress me in both comfort and build quality. On amazon there where mostly cheap imports. The most expensive one I could get was just as uncomfortable to wear. I wonder if more people would have a use for such a carrying contraption.
The only gear I carry when I work out is my phone and earbuds, sometimes a water bottle. I either use a small runner's backpack, or a pocket in my shorts / runner's leggings if it's just the phone
Since I am using a mobile router to get get internet on the go I normally have my smartphone, earbuds, router and a powerbank on me. While the powerbank is optional in the fitness studio, I still need a place to stuff 2 smartphone sized items when working out on a bench - cant use a waistbelt or rucksack for that. My last test included was using 2 belts for my left and right upper arm, but as I said, those bags are really not made to be worn comfortably for several hours. The straps were just basic cheap holding straps with cheap plastic holding them together. I would really like to find something more durable and comfortable to wear while training.
What about a powerbank that you can put rechargeable batteries in it, like you'd put AAA.
And as for the connections, what about a modular design for the power output, if you need usb-c or something new comes up, you'd just slide the usb-c out, and put the other output in?
Also would LOVE to see an LTT Computer Case. Something nice, affordable and GOOD like the bequiet pure base 500dx.
If you're willing to compromise, I think they mentioned their pantone color on the video of Sarah's plastic chips. You can probably buy a nice case, and get someone to paint it
And for extra authenticity, drop it a few times
sorry quick question has anyone used the amazon basics rachet screwdriver?
I think one dude at the pop-up shop livestream said they bought the Amazon Basics screwdriver only like a month before the pop-up shop...
yeah i saw that
i was hoping someone on the group might own one
gonna get one ordered tomorrow an play with it,
Brands: LTT, PB Swiss, Snap On, Wera, GearWrench, Williams, Irwin, Megapro, Milwaukee, Klein Tools, Husky, Lenox, SATA and Black+Decker. Ratcheting screwdrivers compared for efficiency, precision, and durability. Tests include working arc swing, ratchet back drag, magnet strength, bit retention strength, build quality (shaft wobble), shaft rota...
wasnt a driver in project farm
yeah but ill be honest, hes like he doesnt give any results
Didn’t he say pretty much the cheapos <20 were absolute trash and might as well get a non ratcheting driver
Or at least the cheapest one was just bad
That’s by design. He doesn’t want to make the decision for you. You saw the tests and the results of them, you decide which you prefer.
Imo having a roundup at the end of all the stats, makes a lot of sense. It’s not making the decision for you, it’s just displaying all the data in an easier to digest way.
I have it
oh cool how is it?
im more thinking for my collegues at work as it seems to be the closest to ltt and also same
why im gonna get one and see if i can trial run it for abit till my ltt screwdriver comes
I don’t have a ltt one yet to try it against but I thought the same to try it before I got a ltt one
mines more if we supply screwdrivers to our staff, id rather give one like the ltt and amazon basics is the closest thats cheap
the company probably wont pay for the ltt or the megapro one so this will suffice
Yo yall

Seen this? /s
i was gonna say if you keep posting it you will have XD
Xd
I honestly wish project farm included the amazon basic one tbh
It's so similar to ltt and megapro and honestly need more info about it but there's nothing
If you're referring to the Project Farm screwdriver video, you've posted it before. 👀
Hey guys, you should see this cool new video called project farm reviews screwdrivers /s
I can see not an LTT, but company won’t even spring for a $30 Megapro? Lol
I’d say the improvements in the LTT driver are worth the difference in price
It's £50 in the uk
So it cost alot more than in the us/Canada
31usd here on amaz
Wish it was that cheap here
In uk to us it's $64.92
You get 2 megapros for the price of one uk one
I thought amazon basic would be the next best thing with 12 bits also, not fond on the removable shaft but yaknow
Just so you arent splitting up the mobile share links and the desktop coppied links
I really like the removable shaft it great if you have to do something with more precision or get into tight places
What happened to this shirt on lttstore?
was at work today and a customer was wearing a wan hoodie….. suddenly i find myself wondering if i would suit one haha
I think older shirts tend to slowly and quietly be phased out if they're not very popular, like the hdd shirt there. Usually still anpossibility to get from mystery shirt though.
I think there might be a deal where you can get a free Bennie if you get a wan hoodie and wan sweat pants
Id have bought the silver for that reason but since the black is "limited edition" / this time only i got black. I think that likely is what drove a fair number of people to get it
HDD shirt is the only shirt I have ordered from LTT. Lol
what cable organizer bags are you guys buying for the ltt backpack?
i dont even know what that is
I just googled it and that looks like something I should have lmao
gonna try out this cheap one on amazon by bubm
You think that
But then you realize that it's just wasting space in your pack, because you never wind your cables tight and put them back in their pocket
You just shove them back in wherever there's space
*results may vary
I always revert to cable stuffing
cable stuffing to a smaller space can limit how much space it occupies
I would recommend not bubm. The generic ones I’ve found with the little cable symbols for me were better in quality
Bubm did have a nice PlayStation/Xbone game cases storage that’s pretty nice. But the zipper on their cable organizer failed fairly quickly for me. Whereas I’m still going strong with this blue generic one
Actually the one I’m currently using is black because it had a pouch on one side perfect size for my new iPad mini before I got it a keyboard case
This is the one I currently use https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07MC76PCG/
Carries near all the cables I need. I could move the cable from the bottom middle to the top right and put a usb-c dock in there too, however I stopped carrying the dock until I could find a slightly better one
But in this is basically every current standard cable variant, a ton of flash drives, some adapters, an Anker 30w slim wall charger, and a Sandisk portable SSD, with the pocket on the back able to fit any variation of ipad mini along with their smart cover
I can't find the BUBM one as I probably threw it away, but I think one of the failures was the zipper wasn't sewn underneath the cloth at the end so the zipper fell off immediately
that's pretty common
i remember it was mentioned that there was an expansion coming from ltt
hoepfully we get a cable organizer expansion
It looks like I've actually bought two bubm cable organizers in the past, but ultimately landing on the one I mentioned above over either of them. one was double layered. I may have like the better access to the ipad vs the double layered one
I just wouldn't call their cable organizers anything special vs one of the other generic nonbranded ones
Can I store something acidic, like lemonade in the water bottle? Wanted to confirm, since the inside is metal.
Yea
The different colored cap costed them more than a whole screwdriver
Years ago I bought a BUBM roll-up organiser and it’s been good - they don’t seem to sell roll-ups any more
Ah yeah, you're the same guy constantly spamming the project farm video
Been meaning to block you. Thanks for the reminder
First you should watch the video. Here I'll get u the link. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=845HUaWYSQA

@valid pawn I don't mean to be intrusive, however, I am wondering if by any chance anyone at LTTStore staff has time to look into case 52461 - I want to order with business delivery and invoice, we are in an ongoing organizational change and would like to receive an invoice before the structure change is finalized. Could you please look into it?
The rules explicitly state to not tag LTT staff unless they are active in the channel. Best of luck to you
Wouldn't business@linustechtips.com be a better option
Pinging staff about support tickets, especially if urgent, is allowed
Don't spam them though.
Tweeting at Nick light is also mentioned frequently on the wan show
I'd suggest they pin that or make a note in the rules, as it runs counter to server rules
Yeah, took me a while to find that post. Something pinned woulda been great
That's kinda ridiculous you can't tag ltt staff when Twitter literally is their customer support
Oh well apparently it is allowed
It isn't not not allowed. Is it?
😵💫
Or perhaps people should consider not minimodding
Dont jump on folks for maybe not perfectly following rules. Things aren't super rigid all the time and reaching out to staff is sometimes necessary in such ways.
Dude joined the server, agreed to the rules, and immediately violated one. If you can't see the humor in that...
What is minimodding
Oh nvm I get it
Sucking up to the mods and complaining about minor rule issues
how about we stop
tweeting at staff is allowed. a staff member has said that pinging staff about support tickets is an exception to the serverwide rule. it would be nice if they pinned that statement.
👍

Have any more bags shipped?
& how many in port?
Managed to use Twitter for once without it blocking me for not having an account. Look like only the first 3k are out still
Sadd
I am wave 2 so I have a long time to wait evidently
I have no idea what spot I am tho cos I had an address change
Who knows then 😳 apparently not everyone kept their position after an address change
Pog awesome
The store and shipping is going to explode again with all the stuff sitting in port atm
Can't wait to get my bag in 2023
what do we have? backpacks, mep shirts, shop jackets, 64oz water bottles, probably a pile of other stuff
Screwdriver
Screwdriver will not be in ports
Is it just the ratchet and shaft assembling being made in China?
Only the ratchets for them
That could still cause delays thoe
Depends on how they are shipped. You can fit a lot ratchets in a small box
It could, but I suspect they’ve already got their ratchets moving. And a lot more of those fit in a single container than any of their other products
Oh yeah prob a ton
Air shipping may be feasible for the ratchets
I wouldn’t go that far.
But I doubt delays will be as substantial considering they’re mainly manufactured locally
I wonder if or when we'll see a 3rd party create a video on the bag
Screwdriver delivery dates are probably pretty on point, as they expect material to come in while manufacturing other batches instead of waiting for the final product to ship
Did they tweet that or something?
The shop jacket does look pretty nice (for tasks where long sleeves are okay)
I think he said in WAN basically a lot of things at the port
Yeah, WAN show and maybe Nick Light's twitter account. I can't recall perfectly because I've heard it a few times in a couple different places
Gotcha gotcha
Hopefully someone will comment on how the screwdriver fits in he various shop jacket pockets tho
This hurts me to type, but a YouTube short of someone dropping the screwdriver into various pockets in different LTTStore merch is probably content
Id legitimately appreciate that
Eight days before the 20th and still no shipping notif for backpack sadface
Idk why they aren't making shorts of all kinds of randoms shit
Same, but I’m at around #6000. You were in the first 2k, right?
Like what happens if u sit on a backpack
I think they may be trying to hire someone for that
Seems like they've churned through a few people in that role recenly
I got a shirt list that I'll make if I get a backpack
What happens entirely depends on what's in it
Sitting on it, loading it with sff pc stuff, seeing if you can shake out an airtag
Used to use my school bag as a seat often
If it's empty is my main concern
When it's just clothes I still use a bag as a seat
Since it's so boxy and rigid, will it leave creases? Break something?
But an empty bag won support me
Prob
Thats just not my main concern
I'd want to know though
Can you compress it at all, what happens when you do
It makes you happy
from what ive heard, its fine to be compressed but not for long periods of time.
Does it crease or worse if you compress for a period of time?
yeah
Mmmhm
ltt backpack is good, but its not for me so i dont need it.
I only want it to put sff pc in it
And from what I've heard it'll fit but honestly I don't know why there isn't a video of it
Cmon lienald just put a pc in it
i just buy a $40 backpack from target and it works great for a couple years
My jansport can NOT fit my pc
Fabric too weak and rips the corners
Texhnically it fits but very badly
I don’t fancy squishing it into one of these
not a chance
ltt backpack is very durable if thats what your after
Yeah
I'm not sure if it actually fits in the pockets tho
I assume it does
An early revision on ltt video could fit a jackery power bank so
they post the dimensions on their website. Id check it against your pc
Would still like someone to double check the length of a baseball bat hatd fit
im pretty sure it fits an H1
Yeah see random shit they need to put in it
20in or so from previous calcs
Which is likely acceptable but not ideal
I need to find a slightly bigger pack like 24 to 30in would be better
also in the backpack short circuit video Linus mentions that the laptop slot will fit a 17" laptop, and then demos putting in a 16" one
https://youtu.be/tZiSRiMe47Q?t=355
Minimize foam sword or whatever smacking people as walking around if using it as a convention bag
Looks too big to wear in crowded areas
Or too small depending on the scenario
I don't think you'd want anything bigger in a crowded area
Get googed
Welp what's everyone up to
Playing catch-up after a busy weekend, paid my respects to the dead yesterday
Oh who
That there sovereign
Oh she didn't come anywhere near us she went Manchester route apparently rather than the m1
I stay less than 20 miles from Balmoral so made it to a nearby village
Still have to watch that PC build stream to see how badly Linus misspoke about the death judging by the walkback on WAN
I have a Lenovo P50 for work, it's a thick boy
It BARELY fits
In the biggest pocket
P50s are 15.6", right?
It basically seemed like he said it didn’t affect him. And he doesn’t care so much for someone who happened to be royal just because they were royal and such
He didn't say anything wrong
Someone died, very sad, moving on. I was not friends with the queen and neither was linus. We don't care
I need my backpack DX
Idk how I'm not in the top 3000 as I ordered my backpack wave 1 at 8000
They are 15.6, but they are also super thick boy laptops
(It was over 8000 but the specific number I have no idea 8800 sounds right)
Rip
They did warn that this point, there’s a change it might stretch past the expected dates. They tried to account for delays in their shipping but didn’t happen enough
Oh I'm not bothered about waiting longer
They said 3000 have shipped
Yet I was in the top 3000
(From the amount left on wave 1)
It’s possible they’re group shipping to different areas. Where are you located?
Grouping some orders
UK
For better pallet shipping cost
Nuuuuu 😭
It seems like their whole concept of waves is nonsense
My bag is literally disintergrating
I don’t put any stock in the order order. They’ve said they’re shipping in waves, so I consider the wave more indicative than individual orders
The waves were production orders
Not shipping orders
The time they expect that production wave to hit their warehouse
So I won't be in top 3000 then ;-;
Yeah. Orders within the wave were pretty much reserving a production product from that wave to be shipped
Just know you’ll get your wave 1 shipped before anyone gets their wave 2 shipped
I also expect wave 1 and wave 2 are on different vessels. But I doubt if they started receiving the containers from 2 before the last of 1 they’d ship to two before
I thought I'd be first since I was one of the people who ordered first ;-; sad now
Lame
But got my amazon basic screwdriver being delivered tomorrow
😎
How free
Free
There’s still a good chance you’ll get yours shipped soon. I can just imagine that to make logistics work they want a decent number of the UK orders to ship at once in the wave to save on shipping still
I have an ifix it bag
1 it's not big enough lol
2 it's falling to bits
But have had it for 4ish years maybe 5
Interesting
Yeah it was good for abit
Their messenger
Personally, the seibertron messenger has done me well
I prefer messengers to backpacks
However if they do a slim backpack I may take it
The seam by the zip for the top and the front of the bad come apart and the top lid of the bag come apart at the zip in the right corner come apart
Big thing I don’t like about backpacks is how they sag and don’t retain shape
I do too tbh but ima change
I don’t buy much from ifixit aside from toolkits
I’ve always found that injuredgadgets appears to provide the best parts for me. Ifixit is like Amazon quality brand. You’re overcharged on parts
An iPad 6 digitizer costs $20 ifixit. Not $60
And even for many phone guides I’ve moved away from ifixit because some guides are only video rather than step by step. Moved on to SOSAV as every guide of theirs is a step by step. They of course don’t have such a wide library, however they have things ifixit doesn’t
I have the ifixit Pro tech toolkit, it's good but way too bulky to carry around unless I just leave it in my car
That’s why I also bought the Minnow kit and just replaced the driver with the one from the pro tech. So much more pocketable
I’m fooling myself if I think I’ll use all the bits in the pro tech on a regular basis
And especially with the LTT driver now. Precision bits in the minnow kit. Others in the LTT
I actually like the plastic handle a lot
4 bits storage + sim eject and if feeling brave 1 on the front
Sure it doesn't feel as nice as the metal once but when I'm just going about my day a JIS 1, 2 gamebits, a T8 and a Y00 gets quite a few things covered
T8 will sit in the LTT now
That's kinda fair
Still hoping that they'll add the bits I just said to the 20mm lineup
The amount of N64 screws I take out on a regular basis... Is dumb.
Won't replace my vessel drivers for actual precision stuff but bulk quick work or when picking up another item having a multibit driver is huge
Do we know yet if anymore backpack containers have come in yet?
Also apparently square bit is common in canada
LTT Backpack
Where you from
Czech
Mine gets delivered tomorrow
Really early Wave 1
326###
13##
3270## not that it matters
It doesn’t really first wave get them around the same time
Eight days before shipping estimate is breached
I’m 3298xx
ok so if frosty gets it before me i call bullshit
328### orders have been shipped already, I’m already calling bullshit
Wat
@PNW_Geeky_Chef @nicklmg I was 329200 and mine shipped, you must've been just over 3,000. At least you should be in the next one :)
So are the backpacks shipping now?
So he's literally 60 less order number than me but I ordered when there was 8800 left I don't understand that
I'm so confused now
Bunch of containers still stuck at Vancouver port, “first” 3,000 confirmed shipped so far
I don't get this order system man
I watched it drop from 8000 to 4000
I've had mine almost 2 weeks
So how am I not in the top 3000
They did themselves a disservice by not listing the exact place within waves on individual orders, what with all the shipping delays
That means there is 6700 to go, which I ordered 2100 before that
Agreed since now im not in the top 3000 even though I was when I ordered
I was so happy to get so close to the top to then find out its random
They didn’t know there was going to be delays
The first order was 3264XX
You can do the math from there to figure out what number you are
They did know, which is why they added a few weeks to the initial shipping estimate that they got
But that's not how it works tho,
When I ordered mine there was 8800+ left, so if I'm now in the bottom 6700 how have I been kicked down so far from the original order amount
I watched from 11:20pm uk drop from 8800 all the way down to 4000 at 1am
Then went to sleep and got up at 5am wave 1 was gone
Your order # = your spot in line.
That's how it works.
I don't know what mindset you're in to think differently
I was within the top 300 people to place my order. So I got mine from the first container.
And yet I didn’t
yup! Wave 1 Backpack here, mine is expected to arrive today, but I won't be flying home until the end of the week to check it out
Jc is 328### and hasn't had his shipped but the one on the twitter link he just shared is 329200
That's why I'm in a mindset to think differently
Mines alittle higher than the guy so I get why he got his before me, but it's more JC I'm thinking of
Does he have a label created but not shipped?
Ha funny apple
@peak halo
DAMN I was doing that
There may be other factors at play there such as region
Yes, but only the WAN Hoodie shipped from that order. I have a label created for my TMB order but I’m expecting that to ship this week
When you're filling orders especially international it often makes sense to work on a target country or region at a time for various reasons
Such as justfillin out all the customs forms correctly etc
Even region is funky.
I was order #3xx
My friend who lives less than 10 miles away from me was order #6xx
I got my bag a full week before him.
Wait haven't you got your shit that you ordered with the backpack yet?
Backpacks shipping separately in their own box suggests they’re just slapping new labels on them as they come in (ETA regardless of where they’re shipping to)
Rather that jumping back and forth order to America order to Germany order to Madagascar order to New Zealand another to America oh one to japan
Was only a WAN Hoodie and a sticker pack, both arrived
Just a cluster frick of ordering
It might be that address changes or other adjustments might affect order number without affecting order in queue. I'm just speculating.
Logistics is complicated there's a reason you can make good money in logistics
OK I was gonna say all my stuff with the backpack already came so I was worried
I think you guys severely underestimate the amount of time it takes to create labels and ship 1500 backpacks.
I’m still extremely worried about the backpack
I would be
Don't worry about it. My friend freaked out for a whole week since I got mine before he did.
When they’ve already moved on to the next 1,500?
He got it 3 days ago.
Ages
It takes a month to get to me
The website also says SHIPPED BY September 20th. Which means you're not getting it by that day, they're just estimating that it will leave their hands by that day
No I'm not saying that lol
It's also an estimate. And Nick Light has said that there are delays
I don't expect it to ship immediately after buying it expecting a wait
I just don't know how I go from ordering with 8800 left to being 6700 or less in the list
There are timescales in play for two of my orders 😞
Cuz I watched it drop from 8000 to 4000
Hope your ok
Bc people were sitting and waiting...
For screwdriver I ordered within the first 5 minutes. I'm in the 3000s
I placed a second order to buy a screwdriver and ship it directly to my friend's house as a gift. It was less than 5 minutes after my first order. That order is in the 6000s.
I don't know how I was order 18000 for the Playdate and I'm still in Wave 5 of receiving my playdate sometime before the Sun burns out
I can wait for the screwdriver but not for the backpack
So if I'm not in the next 1500 I don't get the ordering system if someone with 329200 shipped and mine 3296## hasn't
Generally it is not a good idea to backorder things you need quickly

That’s not where I’m coming from
Unless by quickly you just mean you want it as soon as available regardless of quicker alternatives
I think jc’s concern is “my place in the queue seems wrong. Did they forget about me or move me?”
Is that right?
I don't need it quickly tbh and I just got a free amazon basic screwdriver to cover me and get used to the bit storage and the rachet
For that opening a ticket is likely the best action
This is something I ordered in mid-August with the full expection that I’d have to wait until late September to receive it (same with the TMB shirt), but there are other factors in play
This is what I’ve been saying. It’s likely for places such as the UK they’ll ship some pallets in bulk
This sentence makes me wanna cry
regarding backpack size, I use a Precision 5750 (17" screen) for work and it fits fine so it's definitely both a combination of screen size and thickness for compatibility
So some people have received their order in Germany? I’m curious if we ran a poll for all German orders in wave one how many would say theirs has shipped
If anyone who’s from the UK has had theirs shipped
Yes. But even so. Pallets sticking together going to individual countries from there makes sense in logistics rather than splitting pallets up
This is true aswell even though I don't want it to be
Would highly highly recommend folks not think of shipping like a line at a store
“This pallet goes to the UK” instead of “let’s find each package that goes to each country on the pallet and split them up.”
If you bought yours first yes it's higher on the list but that doesn't mean 100 people behind you aren't gonna get served first
Just like how just because you were seated first at a restaurant doesn't mean you'll get your food before another table
I can only Imagine they’re really trying their darndest to do shipping as efficiently as possible with such large volume packages
Oh I don't think it's a line at a store that's why the order numbers being shipped is out of order
But I ordered early hours of the day
So if mines shipped with wave 2 uk orders what would be the point ;-;
It will be shipped wave one. I’m sure there’s enough wave 1 I’m orders to fill a few pallets
Also I'm very patient and I understand that canadas port is FUBARED
It’s about efficient pallet space. Once you’ve got multiple pallets going on, you don’t need to worry about them as whole pallets will generally be separated regardless
I get it, just hate it
I’m just very, very worried
If it ships much later than the original estimate I won’t be there to receive it
I've had a parcel that was a ghost once and cost me £100, the store wouldn't replace a package they "shipped" the delivery person said he never delivered a parcel for me, and PayPal wouldn't refund it cuz they claimed it was lost in shipping or something so not the companies fault
(Then a few month later the website I ordered off disappeared)
Never got an answer, they stopped replying to me after awhile
So I guess
my understanding is that the expectation was that the first 1500, then 3000, etc would get shipped, but this euro guy was in the top 3k and it didn't get shipped?
But yeah only time it's ever happened so yaknow
I think so
so he was left out assuming he really was top 3k lmao
that blows
Do we know how many are in the port?
Probably all of wave 1
Even if they were all unloaded right now, I doubt it
Since im wave 2, im mostly concerned with that
I assume it was all one one vessel. The issue is different containers
Are the delays purely because of the port?
I assume wave 2 is shipping on a separate vessel
The waves are manufacturing waves, hence a wave being shipped on one vessel
Right so
The issue is going through different pallets
It sounds like every wave is going to be severely impacted
Sorry different containers. Not pallets
But at the same time its not like a wave 1 delay is going to impact wave 2, unless the port stacks up multiple backpack boats at once
Exactly
The delay is individual containers being unloaded or loaded beneath others on the same ship. Unless they are behind on multiple ships
It’s a when they get to that container, vs when they get to that ship
And I really doubt wave two will start shipping before wave one is complete
I'm a native Vermonter, and I just emailed Darn Tough to make them aware of this potential collaboration 😄
I'd like to suggest a drop-proof LTTphone

Who would buy that
a glow in the dark screwdriver
talk about the biggest consumer double dip imaginable
It's pretty neat. If you were working in the dark it'd be cool, though I'd imagine few people are doing that.
The problem is you can put it on the handle but not the shaft of it
Like they expect to sell thousands of a driver that all the fanatical LTT cultists already bought?
just becos it glows o_O
They probably would. To the same people.
How many ppl really got the money and purely want to support ltt that much
LTT STORE!!!!
L T T
Probably more than you'd think. Either way I hope they don't make it, it's pretty dumb for the 1 in a million use cases it'd be useful.
- happy backpack noises
backpack has happily arrived in Texas
(too bad I'm 1,000 km away at the moment lol)
good thing I shipped it there instead of where I'm currently at. it would have taken longer and I would have missed the window of opportunity to use it for a couple of weeks longer
172 of 9700?
looks like a 5 to me, could be wrong though.
no idea
I hope it's 172, I remember ordering it during the first few hundred

I don't think they order match like that (maybe they do an I'm completely wrong). I assume it's just the first 1500 orders got their bags somewhere from the first 1500 shipment.
maybe it is 572. didn't they have 1500 at first? maybe they randomly get a box
i'll let you all know how it feels once I fly home Thursday lol

Why does it need to have added use?
Some folks like glow in the dark so let em have it
Looks over at all the star wars fans...
Extra plastic waste? Idk. It just seems dumb. Obviously people should be able to buy whatever they want, but I'd rather they spent their time designing new cool products than perfecting a glow in the dark plastic for the driver.
Plastic waste from selecting a new color?
Pretty negligible compared to so many other things I'd expect
From all the people who would buy another driver in a year when it actually dropped. It was just an example of something negative about it. I dislike it because it would just be a pretty pointless product.
I too want more cool products like more bits
I wouldn't call that a waste in general. Probably a few extras but again likely negligible compared to so many other things going on
I'm more worried about all the waste that'll happen from cutting down bits
Anybody got that farm vid?
Brands: LTT, PB Swiss, Snap On, Wera, GearWrench, Williams, Irwin, Megapro, Milwaukee, Klein Tools, Husky, Lenox, SATA and Black+Decker. Ratcheting screwdrivers compared for efficiency, precision, and durability. Tests include working arc swing, ratchet back drag, magnet strength, bit retention strength, build quality (shaft wobble), shaft rota...
Thanks been trying to find this. Difficult
My box says 700 on it
I was within the first 300 easily
nice!
Do you recall your order number?
I guess they're not at all sorted, just stuck 1500 on the container.
3266XX
My 3D printed solution to all of the LTT Screwdriver bits arrived. Gotta say, I'm impressed. I've never ordered a 3D printed product before.
More bits than I think I'll ever own, so I may cut out a section to place dessication packets.
yea thats a lot of bit storage
i got a tool organizer just like that from dewalt that does half bits and half sockets
The cases are only $6 on Amazon and they stack and latch on to each other so it doesn't feel like that much of a waste.
@coarse sage can you link it? The only ones I could find actually came with bits and sockets. I'm curious what yours looks like.
i can try to find it online, i get my dewalt stuff at the local hardware store, but i can for sure get a pic if it helps
Pic will help!
found it online, pictures dont really do it justice but i think youll be able to put it together
this is the top tray
bottom tray
now just dremel out the dewalt screwdriver space to fit the ltt one
Just got my backpack. Pretty good quality. Order 14xx.
Looks like something that came with the sockets and tools, whereas I've been trying to find storage solutions that are universal so I can use what I have, which is what lead me to the 3D print. HOWEVER, I might actually grab one of these you linked just to keep in my car or my bugout bag.
oh yea it was an all in one mate sorry i must have not understood that
i picked it up to put in my garage for my motorcycle for ease of use. much easier then running up and down the stairs constantly forgetting a tool
Sit on it, for science
With all my stuff in it, right?
is stealing backpacks really that big of a thing?
I've had my bag stolen before, but I left it for just ten minutes in a room at a convention. I think it's about as common as any sort of theft.
I was asking cos i wanna know if it falls out
Happened to me once on vacation. Either way if I'm putting my laptop in it I would feel slightly better with the airtag ¯_(ツ)_/¯
Nah. I don’t have one. I’ve been thinking about it though.
i dont leave my edc bag unattended for a long period of time but ive never once had my 511 bag stolen
The airtag pocket thing is tricky. If it is just a loose pocket, tight enough to keep it from falling out if turned upside down also means it's hard to get your fingers in to retrieve it. But if it's too loose, then if you turn it upside down maybe it can slip out. But then again you can always just buy airtag cases/covers and whatnot to thicken it up if need be.
shoulda had a tab of velcro
it is cool they thought of some "secret" pocket for it though
Someone had suggested sewing it shut with the tag inside. Idk what you would do when the battery needs to be replaced, but it's an idea.
you can replace airtag batteries?
You have to. They're not rechargable.
Uses like a watch type battery. I think you twist them open.
im just surprised apple lets you replace them and not buy new ones
I was too lmao. Would be a very Apple thing to do.
i use the samsung version of airtags, they are also very nice
Do they use watch batteries or smth?
yes
thats kinda cool
2032 to be specific
But yeah if you look at the video, the airtag just kinda falls in
So, didn’t sit on it but gave it a good hug. I’d say it kept its shape very well. But I wouldn’t sit on it to be honest.
it doesnt look like it has any level of friction to hold it inside if even turns upside down
What do you think would happen if you sat on it then, hard creases across the bag?
depending on whats in my 511 bag i prob wouldnt sit on it either =\
Is it just me or does it seem like people are wanting more features from the LTT Backpack than backpacks made by Booq, Nomatic, and others, that cost 300 to 400 and have less features and look worse inside?
Like wat
I mean, people can talk about whatever they want. I'm just kinda sitting back and watching every day people bringing up stuff about it that I never hear being talked about with these other expensive backpack companies.
Which is /fine/
I don't mind the talk. I'm not buying a bookbag either way. It just got me looking into bookbags (including some mentioned in this chat) that are similar or even more expensive.
i'm more of a messenger bag/map bag kinda guy, honestly. I've had a timbuk2 for like 15 years now.
the only thing i wish was done was that linus and team sent a few bags to some big edc review channels. just be interesting to see how the stress test would hold up, compared to "reputable" brands
This is the best option. Very easy to instal yourself as well.
id probably buy a bag if i was in the market for one and risk the "limited warranty". but my 511 bag been going strong for 5 years and no signs of issues
Probably like a lot of other ppl, I didnt do a massive amount of research into other bags. But all other bags ppl recommend looks like they would not fit what i need to
I think, like with the screwdriver, the channels reached out to LTT. So I'd contact those EDC channels and inquire with them.
yea i wouldnt recommend 511 for a tech savvy edc bag guy
And one thing about other bags that cost as much or the same is you just get a little write up and a few pics, whereas LTT did a long video, hands on stuff, etc. Yet people are willing to buy the other backpacks that are 300 to 400 online with even less info. So when I see LTT being held to these super strict and exacting measures (which isn't necessarily /bad/) it just seems kinda weird that it's only with LTT that people are doing it and I never saw people doing such deep dives on any of the EDC subreddits/forums, etc., outside of just a couple questions.
So it just feels like we've gotten far more info from one company, but we want even MORE and yet with other companies it's just been, "Pretty pictures. Here's my money."
I guess it's just because LTT is a big youtube channel/group that people are more talkative?
i'm not against it, I just think it's bizzare
