It's an email from customs.
URL with form to fill out for declaration and the tracking number is different from the Wizmo and DHL.
Starts with CG and ends with DE.

also, does it say the size and weight of the package?

I had an order from a different company come through customs a couple days ago - there were three tracking numbers:

1. DHL
2. Yunexpress
3. Local last mile (Royal Mail)

The Yunexpress one was the one that showed up in customs even though tracking it gave no parcel info - many companies seem to use that sort of middleman company to make things easier and cheaper

...but support then told me personally, that those fees are on me.

The tl;dr for EU taxes is, that LTT needs to charge them for EU countries, in which they exceed a certain sales volume. But the tax offices from some countries don't always get the memo and charge you anyways. If that happens, LTT will refund you the amount you paid twice.

EU one-stop-shop is supposed to make shopping outside of the EU easier for EU customers, as you'd be paying taxes at checkout and the warez should arrive as if you ordered from a store within the EU. It's really unfortunate that in some countries, the importing office doesn't get the memo and still charge import duties, despite those having already been paid...
For example, I live in germany, and our governmental institutions are notoriously outdated with their tech (as-in, they're often better available by Fax then by phone or E-mail). I have yet to make a one-stop-purchase that I don't get double charged for >.>

Our customs process is pretty smooth online but if the IOSS number gets lost somewhere on the way it needs to be declared manually. If we provide the IOSS number we don't have to pay again but since LTTStore doesn't give out the IOSS number we are stuck with having to pay the VAT twice and then asking for refund from LTTStore. 😦

The Black+Decker he said equated to about 11 degrees (versus a good torque wrench which has 5 or even 3.6 degrees, but that's more due the manner in which they are used) - I find it interesting that tuning the design for back force negatively impacted this.

But as it is one of the designs where you can spin the shaft not the handle it's probably easier to compensate through turning the shaft more? And it still has impressive stats on the other categories which defintly compensates.

It makes sense, if they can't it's what back force is what they chose to optimise for. And in the instance of a handled screwdriver the 2nd column and the back force are much more important IMO.

On a torque wrench it makes sense being important as the handle tends to get obstructed so need to optimise for that instead (and not really caring as much about back force)

The BIt Retention I expect would vary a bit, aa each sample model the screwdriver as that quite often will be tolerance dependant although some designs would still be superior

Check Etsy and type in bit holder. They have really cheap 3D printed holders for some very common storage solutions including those cheap DeWalt tough case holders. They have one that will fill that up and hold probably 400 bits.

I think the standard varies regionally, so they're just kinda arbitrarily picking one per garment. I think nick responded to someone on twitter acknowledging that displaying which side it's on would be good for store page clarity though, so maybe that'll be a thing so people will know what to expect.

Zipper (along with shirt buttons) sides use to be on 1 side or the other dependent on if it was male or female clothing, historically so they were the 'same side' when partners would help get each other dressed.

I don’t see why side matters with zippers? You need to use both hands to grab both sides and insert the tab into the head. That insertion is equally easy for me either orientation. And then once it’s inserted, pulling up or down can be done with either hand

The megapro, and probably their mechanic version which has magnetic base and holds 12 individual bits will be best for most people at $40. But to support LTT and because I like the black and the stronger magnet LTT is my winner

The results of the PF thing do make me slightly more likely to get an LTT screwdriver eventually. I don't need a screwdriver right now, but maybe at some point I will need one, so I'll be glad to have a best in class one on hand +the LTT support aspect. Still in no rush to pick one up, but it's probably eventually now instead of 'ehhhh maybe I guess but I'm not sure'.

Sort of eyeballing the numbers, they've been selling roughly 10-20 screwdrivers every 10 minutes for a few days (usually around 20). They currently are listing 72000 remaining screwdrivers. Assuming they sell a screwdriver a minute, it would take them 50 days to sell out.
But that's a big assumption that the rate of sales stays the same.

all i know is that its very expensive to order one from europe due to shipping and whatever import taxes apply to your country

In theory it should be like ordering from within the EU, just with very expensive shipping. This is thanks to an EU initiative called "EU one-stop-shop" (also applies to the UK and Norway btw)
Only problem is that the tax offices of some countries still have issues with that, and so you may end up still having to pay import duties on arrival. LTTStore support will refund you those double payed taxes an duties it you send them a proof of the secondary payment

I should've mentioned earlier that this system does require stores from outside the EU to collect your local VAT (19% in Germany for example)

You should add that the Import Fee isnt covered by ltt - in germany that would be the Zoll, which only applys to packages valued over 150 Euros or so, and is only a few percent.

The screwdriver manufacturing process looking like it was just a matter of throwing in the appropriate colour of dye in their bucket with the abs stuff, so different accents including more wild colours may not be especially volume prohibited if they wanted to. Got my first look at my bag about 30 mins ago when I got home. First impressions: this thing feels like an absolute tank. I see why people say it's boxy, but I love it. I wanted a bigger bag than I usually have, and this is definitely a bigger bag. Every aspect I've looked at really feel premium and high quality. Both the black outside and the orange inside feel "tough". Like rough, but in a "it's strong" way if that makes sense 😂 the linings for the screens feels so much nicer than other screen linings I've had over the years. I was a little worried on the ease of use of the carabiner zippers, my worries are gone as they are super smooth. The aluminum straps are also so smooth, trying my old bag now makes me gag it's actually crazy (granted I already thought my old bag's straps were pretty bad but still)

The top handle really feels like it could tow a truck as Linus keeps saying. I can't wait to see that video now

The glass pocket feels good, but I wouldn't trust really expensive or prescription glasses tbh. Maybe just sunglasses that wouldn't be end of the world if they got scratched

The 40oz does feel pretty tight in the water bottle pocket as well, it's making me consider to get the smaller version. I'll see how it goes for a bit though. I kinda just spent 540 CAD on two LTT products in the last month LOL

erm... that thin bit is AFTER the driver holder. also i'm suggesting teaming up with the company for the holder not the bits. the reason these look funky if i recall is the kit i grabbed pics for was their impact driver set...though i honestly don't know why impact drivers would be ok with having skinnier bits. 😛

Does an airpod fall out of the pouch if turned upside down and shaken? A review suggested it should of had a velcro, which i probably believe, but maybe there is enough friction to keep it in

It's because they're longer than LTTs bits, which would push the part that the holder is supposed to hold on to down below where it can grab that

also as much as i love my ifixit protechtoolkit, i much prefer my apex bit case over the actual case for the ifixit.

ahh i get your concern now. yeah honestly the bits for apex are bog standard and i think i'd just rather buy the LTT ones and dump my apex ones. that said if LTT partnered with them i'd just buy a second bitbox for my LTT bits. 😛

i'd be all for something sleek but i really like the idea of a hard case you can fit in a cargo pocket with a swivel and i'd guess apex/crescent likely have a trademark on teh swivel design.

Something tells me if they were to do a bit holder it would be something much slimmer. something pocketable similar to the ifixit Minnow driver kit

honestly i think slim would be the worst choice. the screwdriver is bringing slimness with the tradoff that you are limited to 12 quick access bits. so the advantage of an external case is more slower access bits.

so eliminating a lot of that unused space

oh wait maybe you don't mean the vertical extra space (the various rows of cadies) but rather depth... if for instance they partnered with apex i think they could maybe slim it down in depth a little bit but not alot or the retention mechinism would have less durability.

i dunno what your toolbelt/toolbag/cargo pants are like. the standard clamshell bit boxes i can fit 2 in the pocket of each except my toolbag which can hold one comfortably.

on my toolbags I sit clamshells inside the bag itself with the rest of the tools. However with a slimmer bitholder it could go n one of the side pockets a bit more organized, and less figuring out which clamshell is which

like lets say there are 2 bit sets i use all the time, one at site A and one at site B. i'm buying 2 screwdrivers. but if one set is going to cover 12 of the sites i work and on that rare 13th site i need a robertson, yeah i'd rather just reach into my cargo pants pull out my bitbox and grab the bit to get rid of that one garbage screw. 😛
