So to surmise that the next available international SnapOn listing is $99.16 (with shipping, $124.05 with taxes although that seems about $8 over IMO, perhaps tax on shipping?) versus my guess at LTT's being $94.98 (69.99+24.99 delivery - ignoring taxes (20% VAT etc). Also ignoring currency conversion for both).

Ltt's having more bits plus bit management etc. Although the other drivers they showed may be cheaper, haven't looked much but have various different features

I think you should note on your post you are comparing price to X country, I can go grab a snap on driver local today for $81 after tax. Which is a bit more than LTT driver, but once you count shipping it’s back in favor of the snap on by few bucks. I’m not defending either, since idk quality of the LTT one yet and think both are more than I plan to spend. Also being able to go to my local snap-on dealer and exchange it for a new one same day is a plus. Just mentioning it’s something to consider depending on your location.

But that’s only for my case where I live, not all countries have snap-on dealers. 🙂

I would say it's features more than just that. My ratchetinf one (possibly even with plastic in the mechanism) is still going strong 15 years on but it doesn't have storage or anything fancy. It probably wouldn't take that much torque though, and some of the competition won't either

Ok well I just wanted to say I have an original run Sandpiper of California Bugout Bag from 1998 and I use it as my carry-on for literally every trip I've every taken in the past decade without any sign of wear-n-tear. I'm not sure how the new ones compare, but they sell for $152.50 and have a lifetime warranty

Now I haven't bought the LTT backpack, and quite frankly have no intention to, but if LMG or anyone were to need something to compare it to, I'd say the Bugout Bag is the closest I've seen in terms of "spacious utility-focused carry-on," if anyone knows of any other good comparisons please lmk

I doubt the screwdriver will have such a different ship time for orders. The thing about backpacks was they’re so big they take up so many containers and so shipping is slow for them. But I believe screwdrivers will arrive in much higher quantity at first that timing it shouldn’t be as necessary

Has it been announced for how long the limited time black shaft screwdrivers will be available for? Also is there a limit to the number of screwdrivers you can buy?
I work on combat robots so the plan would be to get one of each black shaft ones cause I love the looks, and keep them as backups, and have one of each silver shaft ones, one for the at home workshop and one for the on the go toolkit (with my ADHD I am notoriously bad at setting things down in a random place and then having them dissapear for an indiscriminate amount of time so having a backup or two would allow me to cycle around when that happens.

Everyone gets to keep their original (potentially defective) screwdrivers and don't need to return them, but on the honour system people are expected to scratch an X on them to indicate that it's been replaced. The replacement screwdrivers will presumably be covered by warranty if the replacements themselves also end up defective in some manner.

Could be, but in any case pop up shop purchasers will ultimately have two screwdrivers, one of which is potentially defective. LTT wouldn't be able to sell the defective one(s) again even if they wanted to because the original owner still has it.

Just in case there's any confusion - the replacement driver is warrantied, the clarification at the bottom is only stating that the original driver with the process error is not warrantied since it has already been replaced.

I think ltt have a lot of support emails to respond, i have tried contacting them for almost a week now without a response 😶 last time i had to contact them (2019) it took hours 😛 The drop of backpack and screwdriver made an big impact to the support team

The screwdriver will delay other items bought at the same time since everyone complained about double shipping with the backpack. They are NOT changing the separate shipping for the backpack now though, as that would create yet more confusion!
Other items will be set aside. You don’t have to worry about them being out of stock when the screwdriver ships.

You know I've never been a fan of the Klein flippy bits. I like had inserts much better. The short bits are not my favorite, but acceptable since the maintained some compatibility with standard (and replacements are relatively cheap).
