it's theoretically still possible that shipments 2-4 could end up early, mostly just a matter of the ports getting their shiz together from the sounds of things.
But yeah as long as the factory is shipping them out on time. I can't imagine that the first wave being late will directly impact 3rd and 4th. Though if the port sucks so much it might be slow too

I ordered a northern lights desk mat on the 5th August. I got an email on the same day saying it had been dispatched, but the Wizmo tracking number doesn't work any more - site says too many requests. It's getting kinda urgent, because I ordered it to be delivered while I was in Vancouver on holiday, but I head home in 5 days time and won't be able to pick it up if it does get delivered.

That link loads a Wizmo page, but it says "Error: too many requests", it's been saying that for the last few days.
If you copy the number that goes after the wizmo link/is above it, you should be able to track the package using a different website

In the UK we generally get a tracking number and the name of the shipper when a parcel has been dispatched - maybe that's what's going on here, idk. Could be I'm too stoopid to work it out😂

the shipping rate calculator was adding a shipping fee for just the stickers, on accident, so you got charged the bare min 5.99 for a "second box" effectively

Does anyone know if the water bottles have a lining in them? I have two water bottles and I've found bits of plastic film in my drink in both of them now.
I initially thought it was somehow something with the ice maker in my fridge but I moved and left my ice maker behind but I'm still finding bits of plastic on occasion.

Yeah we were taken by surprise a bit by the sudden influx, we were definitely understaffed for the thousands of emails coming in when there was only 2 of us working on it. But we're seeing progress more now that we've got additional help! :)
I would LOVE to work for you guys and help out, but
- I'm in the US, and you guys don't hire remotely
- Because of my contract, I can't work for anyone else for Customer Service, even on a part-time status unless I leave my current job. I kinda like my job (though everything is negotiable if #1 was no longer a problem - lol).

Apparently they figured out a way to do address changes for backpack without loss of place (or at least a way to keep your original place after reordering), so those who previously were told they couldn't address change should reach out again and they can get you back to your original place in line.

We're still required to cancel your order to complete an address change. The difference is that when you place a new order, we've figured a way for our distribution centre to make sure it ships in the same wave you were in before.
Make a new order if you haven't already and then include the order # in your message. That's all you'll need to do!

Short answer is yes. In that case we would remove/refund the backpack but keep the rest of the order. That's assuming that you can still receive the rest of the order even though it's already been shipped to your old address.

I noticed the new logo on the discord server list, and I was just disappointed. Businesses seem to have an exodus from colour in their branding, and I miss it. The LTT logo doesn't look like the ltt logo to me if it's not lmg orange. I don't care what the pantone name is, it's lmg orange.
I understand going stealth on the backpack, but I wish it had some color on the outside. even if it was just highlights like orange rivets.

I like the stealth look and I hope they continue offering it (along with other colorways)
With clothes it makes a ton of sense, since they seem to want to be more of a high quality manufacturer of many of their products rather than LTT branded (exceptions of course such as WAN hoodie which is obviously themed merch). As for the Discord logo I agree it's weird to 'stealthify' it, and as you mentioned brands have been moving towards simple less colorful logos in recent years, but I'm not too worried about it here since they'll probably just change it again at some point.

Debit and cc is essentially the same. Just that Credit card allowes you to use more money than you actually have and a Debit is bound to your Bank Account thus only allowing what you can pull there.
In short, if a Shop accepts credit they also allow debit.
One thing I am confused about: looking at the backpack's limited lifetime warranty.. what does it cover? Aside from defects that can be typically returned within 30 days, just about anything else could be waved off as "misuse" or "normal wear and tear".
Feel free to ping me if you have a good reply as I am very confused, especially with the whole entire implicit claims made by Linus that seems to contradict it.

If they say "its the last backpack youll ever need" they might aswell make a Warrenty that also covers wear and tear if they are so confident - even if its "only" limited to like 10 years.

I get that from Linus' perspective his internal policys are probably some of the most generous you'll find anywhere, but they're generous enough that making them publicly official would just be asking for abuse which complicates things. Theres a reasonable chance that if you have any problem at any time (while they are still operating), they will replace/refund the relevant items, and possibly even throw additional credit at you if it's clear they were at fault. However, that sort of care is extremely yikes to make remotely official due to the obvious potential for abuse, so it's not immediately clear what they should have publicly written down. They settled on what they did, and perhaps that will make the masses happy.
I have dealt with hundreds of corporations putting stuff in writing and not honoring it. So I'll take the many years reputation of a small company over any written warranty of a corporation in the world.

it'll be a backorder so you'll have to wait a little bit, but most likely it'll be in thye style of your entire order will wait a couple weeks and it'll be one shipment, as opposed to a separate shipment like the backpack where if you got other stuff it'd be two shipments.

Hey LMG friends, do you know what the limit per customer is going to be for the pop-up store? I am based in Australia but I may have a friend in Settle willing to come grab some, but that means that he'll need to be able to to purchase 2 (one for me, and one for himself). If there is a limit 1 per customer, I completely understand, and will wait for them to come avaliable online. If it's a limit 2 per customer, then he might come your way.

That's fine, just I likely won't get said screwdriver until November because unfortunately, due to time zone issues, the likelihood of me actually getting into Wave 1 is extremely low.
from what they have talked about in the past I think screwdrivers will be shipping out more frequently than backpack 'waves' just due to most of the construction is in Canada.

ifixit uses the smaller standart, the ltt one the fullsize bits youd know from power tools and practically everywhere not being small electronics.

For a pc or mostly everything not being phones, laptops etc i like the bigger ones better.
I feel like you wouldn't want a ratcheting driver for anything bigger than the ph2 and whatnot
So i can see why ltt uses a bigger one, also why would someone make a ratchet screwdriver with the small bits - would like weird having a big driver and tiny bits.
You also nearly never have something bigger.

Id just highly advice against using the ltt screwdriver for something like a phone. We have small drivers and bits for a reason - so you are careful.
With the big one it feels like you arent tuning too hard, and oh too late, screw or whatever snapped.
Just be careful if thats your intended usecase.

the LTT driver is good for fine work as well, its got the knurling on the shaft so with the ratchet you can use the handle like the top of an ifixit driver and free spin.

Have two of these sets, awesome sets! Though sometimes the screwdriver is a little annoyingly small (they have a bigger one too). Other times it’s too thick and/or short to reach down in certain holes
