I usually leave mine in the kbd fans carrying case, but I have a tendency of leaving stuff in lecture halls so I need it to fit in my backpack (with case)

I'm debating on the backpack. On the one hand, it'd probably be the only bag I'd ever need for anything, on the other hand, both my mom and brother have like a bag from Kensignton which is like 50€ (compare that to the almost 400€ for the LTT one including shipping, taxes and stuff 😬)

Should mention that other one is pretty good too (mostly because it's been on the market since like the Apple G4 iMac)

Samsonite bags are usually $100-150, at least the ones I get. They last about 3 years with moderate to heavy use for me. The main benefit is they come with a 3 year limited warranty and my local third party service center (Southern California) is usually pretty good with honoring warranty.

Of course the LTT one looks very well padded and that's one complaint I have for every Samsonite backpack I have owned.

Being Canadian, I have to say our internal costs for shipping also don't help. I wanted to send something a little smaller than the backpack seems to be to my European girlfriend through our postal service, and they quoted me $200. For the basic shipping. ~370€ for orders to Germany. Granted, at this price, there are probably better options out there, but honestly, that's to be expected for a product that almost made it around the globe (wherever it was made in Asia -> Canada -> Germany)

Linus has talked a bit about it on one of the WAN shows.. they would been to establish HQ and register under EU regulations.. or they would need a partner company to take over the stock.. and they would still need to do shipping between Canada and the warehouse in EU.. so the pricing will still be high.. only difference is maybe you get a bit faster delivery and no custom delays.. maybe

I know I need to pay cause for anything where value is over €150 you just have to pay, that's how it works here in Finland, customs says if the store made you pay for VAT anyway you need to get it back from them cause you can't use the IOSS for stuff that needs also duty payment
