I think scaling Whale LANs to the point where LTX can organically grow as it's own thing, as a separate unit and staff from LMG. Essentially a small full time events team (with a flexible part time and volunteer force) needs to be setup that runs regular LANs and LTX.

It was getting there, but removing the rent cap is mainly what caused chaos. Toronto is mostly new builds as well so it goes hand in hand. Landlords who are rent control have way less options - with no rent control if you have a disagreement with your landlord well here's a $1000 rent increase

I think we’d need some more data before rolling a feature like that out, but with the google sheets and with my current plans (I’m probably going to rebuild everything from the ground up, and host what I can in a database) it’s for sure something that’s possible

The only issue is if I rewrite everything the way I plan, I’ll need to figure out how to handle the git repo. Right now the site can be cloned you just don’t have access to the websocket stuff I’ve created or the WhenPlane api script I’ve made but if I host everything on the backend and have the site connect to a “game server” for info I either need to share all of that, or keep it private

I’d really like to put everything on git in the event that I also disappear and bingo stops getting updated, since my project is a continuation of the original WAN Show Bingo

The bonus if I rewrite is this so far:

1. Tiles can be loaded from database, and trusted users/moderators and enable and disable tiles
2. Instead of using Google Sheets like we do now, I can create a custom panel & page for users to access with historical data, and also setup a messaging system (thanks @frozen agate for the idea from wandb) so users can see what tiles have been confirmed from the index
3. Analytics (privatized) from each bingo game, ideally many users clicking a tile in a short duration will automatically validate a tile, and a mod can invalidate a bingo tile later on if it didn’t actually happen
4. I’ve had many feedback submissions asking to move away from JS (turns out many people don’t like JavaScript running on websites)

Other things I’ve thought of too but I don’t want to spoil all the surprises yet

Also instead of creating a cookie for saved theme, your selected theme can automatically be applied via your account settings (hoping to have special themes for events, and if you play during the event or within a timeframe you get an exclusive card theme. Ex: if I had this functionality at LTX it’d be a private theme for attendees only)

this is the current layout of the profile settings page I've got going, I'm gonna probably make public profiles so you can gloat and show off your achievements (probably neat idea to have the users preferred profile theme show up for the profile, that way you can show off your custom themes that have been unlocked aswell) I'll of course add an option to make your profile/username private. I'll only be using Discord SSO so I can avoid collecting emails/passwords if possible. I think I'll need emails no matter what but I don't really plan on using them unless for maybe authnetication but
