The way I see the situation, Steve had two main points. The Framework support means that laptop reviews need to be taken with a grain of salt (also, people should be looking at more than one review anyway.) The other is all the errors that are an indication rushing at a breakneck pace and of team burnout in progress. It can be difficult to notice the red flags when your deep in it, hence Steve's choice of subtlety; an aluminum baseball bat to the face. Linus' reaction (I think) was more due to the reaction of the community asking questions that made it seem like it was a direct attack on his dreams, not a blunt warning to slow down and reassess. Whether this was done just to promote drama or just a failure to read what was really being said, I can't tell. Possibly some of both.
These are just my thoughts on the matter.

because polling is easier. Two of those should get cached though, and ill eventually merge them into the aggregeate endpoint so its just one

i want to look into doing websockets at some point but ill have to research which would be more cost-effective. Both of which will take time and effort
