thanks. Broke and dislocated my ankle early last year, also shattering the fibula in the process. Mostly recovered as well as I am likely to. Severe limp and quite a bit of pain and it swells, which is annoying. But there was a real possibility of amputation at one point, so its not all terrible.

I was amazed they got it running on the switch so well tbh. Much like I was with Witcher3

The switch was my only real outlet for gaming (aside from my phone, a DS Lite and a modded PSP)

Your exactly right on the console thing. Both PS and Xbox run AMD hardware. However, in the PC realm 84% of all GPUs are Nvidia. Without going to far down a rabbit hole and talking about no support for RT and DLSS. I will just cite a recent example. Jedi survivor was an AMD exclusive.

That is of course true, but the recent things to come to PC have been heavily influenced or come from either AMDs work with MS or MS's own work on Xbox feeding into DirectX

AMD's Zen4 chips all have MS's Proton security chip in them. Intel's not confirmed or denied wether 12th or 13th gen have it in them. This is probably the eventual answer to TPM on PC.

Gamersnexus did a round up that included some more budget oriented options. Steelcase and herman millers are generally deemed top tier but those are pricey; I have the Embody and am satisfied but may well have been just as happy with something a quarter of the price off amazon.

Also really depends upon what you want from a chair mind I guess. If you want it not to hurt your back and be ergonomic then you are going to need to spend extra, but then it should also last you a good while if you do that, but you have to also look at every aspect of your set up if you're wanting something ergonomic, one item in isolation won't really be as effective as it could be.

Yeah, height limits are definitely a thing for a fighter pilot, especially in designs that originate in the 70s or earlier. If you're over something like 5'9" iirc in some you would lose your legs at the knees on ejection.

of course, eyesight is the first thing people get weeded out for after height/heart/lungs have been checked.

Same for trucking, you can drive a car with just one eye in a lot of case, but whilst you don't need 20/20 vision for a HGV licence in the UK, you need a minimum uncorrected vision in both eyes and theres minimums for your 'bad' eye. Which unfortuately ruled my other half out when he had two detached retinas, they got reattached fine and cataract surgery improved his vision considerably, they couldn't fix a hole in his macula unfortuately, which pretty much rules out ever getting a HGV licence.

iCloud backups for what? You can use OneDrive, Google Photos, and probably some others I don't know about for backing up photos. If you're just backing up your device, you probably won't need more than the 5gbs offered for free.

You have also been able to display battery percentage since iOS 16.

EU's forced them to go USB-C so they're probably going to implement it on the 15.

Besides those reasons, I totally respect your other frustrations. Not being able to sideload APKs hurts a lot. Well, not a lot, but I did sideload multiple apps back when I had a pixel.
