just depends on how you define bad
there are lots of ways sound quality can be broken up and described
an arctis 7 is going to destroy a pc38x or maxwell in at least a couple of these
it's just how the world works
the opposite will also be true
i actually manage to buy these and i just got it, testing right now
it kinda feels like the sounds is a bit in the back of my ears
i'm comparing my red zero on this song
just to note, they are different form factors
iems bypass the pinna
yeah i'm clearly noticing it lol
the headset is way more detailed
like you can differentiate every sound clearly
zero red is meant to be smooth
while the red zero feels like the track a bit compressed on itself
and yeah smoother
now brain damage and ear damage music testing
kicks are underwhelming a lil
do i need to get into mixing to actually enjoy music just how i like ? 💀
that tracks production is just kinda lacking
very true
that's their charm imo
I miswrote
it's like that 6yo painter that still sells way more than a common artist with years of art school
lobotomy track naming also
art school can't teach artistic talent and/or thinking
You might be able to learn how to make your kicks more whelming though
ye
60% off which models?
pretty much anything that’s not nova 1 is garbage for the price
like okay if you want 2.4ghz with nova 5’s
but their sound is meh
and yeah you’ll sweat alot pretty much in most closed back cheap headphones
Hey I’ve got a question, do yall prefer Apple Music or Spotify? Getting both completely free and no idea which is better
Spotify seems to have better features for sharing and all but Apple seems better audio. All my playlists are already on my apple music but I’d put in the work to shift it. Apple Music also sucks on my pc I’ve noticed
yeah..
i am debating whether to switch my spotify playlist over to apple music, but i listen to very specific versions of some music, so it would be a TON of work
Just curious, what’s your reasons for switching to Apple Music?
if youre looking for audiophile audio quality, apple music is better, not by a ton, but it is
at least compared to spoityf
I’ve tried the lossless audio and could never actually notice the difference 😅
are you using bluetooth or speakers
Even on really nice headphones, not that I usually use them anyways
Yes, the difference is too fien to be noticed on wireless connections
it has to be wired in some way
I use wired speakers and could never tell the difference
Same with headphones
Actually no lossless on the web version so I haven’t tried that on my speakers
My input for you is, the ui is great but if your on windows it sucks, just something to keep in mind
Believe audio quality is about the same as Spotify too
i am on windows brother
i know how bad it iis
lol
hey all, not sure where to ask this - I'm looking for a way to record direct game audio pre WASAPI output
I'm running eqApo on my system and Nvidia Shadowplay records audio after Apo, so it's not the unaltered game sound
how could I do something like this (without using weird Voicemeter Banana routing)?
you could use virtual audio cables
i think
that is indeed what voicemeter is, which I wanted to avoid
but I found a solution already: OBS
the feature is still in beta but it offers direct application audio capture, which you can add in the sources
I'll just have to see if I have to set this up anew with every game and how to make this streamlined, but I don't game that much anyways so even if it's a manual process it's somewhat manageable
but it's good that it works at all, with the recordings through Apo I can't really get good data out of the spectral analysis of the recordings
Trying to decide on a wireless headset, thinking either audeze maxwell or the arctis nova pro, any thoughts?
What headphones (or headset) do you recommend me getting, i’m aiming for a good build quality and comfort, i just want to watch videos with it and listen to music, not an audiophile at all
My budget is around 400-500 MAD
maxwell seems to be universally well received and I think andrew said he liked it, headphones.com reviewed it positively at least
it does adhere to the general preference curve
i dont think you can get that great of a headset with $50
i mean i guess you can get CH520s from amazon
What about the audio technica m20x
?
Why not
It cost about 59$ here (after conversion)
both m20x’s and sony headphones are bad for the price
Well what headphone can i get from this list?
.
do you have access to like hd681’s? ksc75, kph30i’s?
Let me see
or like aliexpress
Yep
The hd 681 are available
Are they better than the m20x?
The price difference is huge
No
yes
how much exactly
Like they’re half the price of the m20xs
I’m honestly just aiming for build quality i dont want something flimsy that’ll break easily
because the m20x are overpriced
how often do you throw headphones at your wall
Rarely
But my old headphone slipped way too many times to the floor
…
maybe iems are a better bet for you
Yes
I’m just kidding c’mon :p
fair u got m
anyone who can't take care of headphones shouldn't get headphones, they're big and relatively bulky and WILL break with enough neglect
Or… hear me out… save money and get some DT variant
Unfortunately they’re not available here in morocco
Broken headband extension points, the plastic there is not that strong. It's just easily replaceable
this is normal.
How long have you had yours
this is normal.
Are you throwing them or something
I don't use it nor do I have them anymore, they sound like crap
they do NOT 💀
How do you get so much bass yet sound hollow? Oh right have a huge dip in the midbass
How do you guys know if something sounds good or not
by listening to it
I just listen to music and vibe to it tbh
I still don't get how are most beyers so shrill
there’s not much under 50 if availability is an issue for you
the hd681’s are fine, i recommend swapping the pads for velour and put some kitchen towels under the pads (may have to try quite a few brands of towels)
DT880 250 was really decent for me, 990 was about as bad as 770
not as much of the bass, but just as much of the bad treble
I can’t swap the pads
deafeners 990
why
They’re not available either
Oh
then use the stock ones, they’re meh but usable
average pads at that price point tbh
And the build quality, they just need to be sturdy enough to support some casual falls
most things are
they’re not durable but light enough to withstand falls yes
look how closely the frequency response adheres to the (harman) preference target (very dumbed down but this is pretty much 80% of it)
as you can see from the measurements, beyerdynamic headphones generally tend to have excessive high treble, which gives the impression of 'detailed' sound at first but becomes very fatiguing quickly
in the case of the 990 for example:
we see
-lack of deep bass (below 50hz)
-excessive upper bass (100-200hz)
-recessed mids (500hz-1KHz)
-peaky treble (above 5KHz) (note that this also varies a lot from person to person so a headphone that sounds good on your head might sound bad (objectively) on somebody else's head)
also note that production tolerances on headphones generally seem to be quite large, so if somebody recommends you HD650s for example (good allrounder generally), you might buy the same headphone but it sounds quite different in the end
this issue is seen even in higher priced products, altho HD800s are quite good in that regard
you can salvage the sound of any headphones measured relatively easily with a complimentary EQ via eqApo for example
or base your shopping on the measured responses
oratory has the largest (very high quality) data base of over-ear headphone measurements that I'm aware of
and he doesn't just measure every headphone once but instead measures them pretty much as often as they go through his hands so headphones like the aforementioned HD650s might have a sample size of 20 in the data, to iron out manufacturing tolerance outliers a bit
there is a lot to learn, but for headphones it's generally much much easier as for speakers
dumb it down even more and you're with IEMs, which are even easier in terms of data you can analyze
you can pretty much end-game performing IEMs (if you ignore passive noise isolation for actual stage performance) for as cheap as 30-40$
for over-ears you need to spend quite a bit more get get something decent, unless you buy the chinese version of the HE400se off aliexpress with coupons, in which case you can get very solid over ears for like 80 bucks
altho these didn't match well with my HRTF and I had to take out quite a bit of treble on em.. but that's out of the scope of the typical end-user to do
that seems uncommon (but real) from what I've seen
but it's hard to get a proper metric
similar story for mc450 and the U brackets
it's controversial, and where you ask will have a big impact on the answers
I've heard harsher treble than the dt990 250 before
overall it's got quite a bit to offer in different sound quality areas
and is more relevant now because the old hd560s is no longer sold
but the mc450 is quite a crushing blow for their relevancy given they're basically the same price
it gets to hang onto bass extension, like 1 more foot of soundstage, and probably better comfort
or potentially it'd be more fun for some music and some preferences since it has less resolution
or you're in england and it's a lot cheaper than an mc450
Bro telling me like I understand 😭😭
Anyone heard of Airpods Strap? Or anyone got one of them? Its the stupidest thing I've seen but its a real product
Then do not switch to Apple haha
I don’t think any of the higher audio quality settings are even there
it's uncommon because most people don't post about it
it's so easy to find replacement parts (or even make them) that it's not worth talking about
but it's the single weakest point on those beyers aside from the cable
The speakers in the video are honestly crap for what they are, so here's an alternative for anyone who wants it. I'm also pretty sure you'll be able to find these products cheaper if you buy secondhand.

everything from logitech is generally crap
especially for the prices
Their mice are good, but I mostly agree when it comes to the rest of their products.
g305 is the only thing i’d buy personally
but that one’s outdated
as well
koss
I really like my HD599s but I want to upgrade to something with better low bass and a closed back. Any suggestions?
budget?
Fiio ft1
How come this isn’t talked about more
Soooooo I have an audio issue.
Whenever I have my headphones connected to my audio interface I hear a very very very faint static, it's barely noticeable.
I think it's coil whine since it gets worse the higher FPS I get (It's really bad when in MC at 1400-ish FPS lol).
Anyway, I have a mixer so that I can mix my audio sources and can play PC games while also listening to a record for example.
I thought i'd use my mixers monitor channel to mix inputs such as my mic or instruments, except I have the same static on the monitor chanel. It's also a lot worse than directly from my audio interface.
I again think this is caused by my PC since it's not there when it's turned off and I can actually hear caps decharging when it's shutting down.
Does anyone know how I could possibly go about fixing this?
Oh yeah, everything is on the same outlet so I doubt it's a ground loop, although i've noticed it can still happen. Man that was a nightmare to figure out.
Thx! Pls @ me ty :)
apple usb c to 3.5 dongle
presuming you use onboard audio jacks
with audio interface i meant a seperate DAC and ADC
nice name btw
its a Hercules Deejay Trim 4&6
260 hard cap less would be nice lol
ft1, k371 but with 260 may get you something bit better
but if you prefer lower price point ft1’s are fine
oh ok honestly yeah as long as its a noticeable upgrade from my 599s
Im not in a hurry to spend 260 lol
if you want deeper bass yeah, it’s going to be noticable
they check all the boxes for me
they do have a bit sharp treble at ~13khz, as a note
why would it be? most of the people recommending the hd560s would need to buy a second one just to confirm it
I’ve got a pair right here they have brilliant bass for the price
$180 on this pos new hd560s is definitely top 5 for me in least fruitful audio purchases
yeah i think they look really good too
but the value in that was the review potential and accuracy
they’re trying to separate their 600 series from their more budget 500 series
How much of a difference did you notice between the revision and the predecessor?
it already was separate
they just made it clear now tho
Anyone k ow a good headset around $100 or less at target?
I’ve got employee discount there
And the built quality is mint
by downgrading the pads and padding and giving you a shorter cable
if we discriminate against other possible value champions,
then I'd pay $180 for the old hd560s but $120 for the new one
For gaming
the instrument separation, treble resolution, and timbre took a big hit
close to a whole price class down
Needs a mic too
not quite
Looks to be, but i noticed that their impedence is low, hows their sensitivity?
aren’t they like 100db/mw
don’t need an amp necessarily
Yeah nothing to worry about
like here is a recording of a different $180 headphone and then the new hd560s
nonono not at all
the built in amp on my motherboard will be plenty
yup
my iphone could drive those to a pretty uncomfortable volume easily
i never listen at above 70db anyways
Or just get a apple dongle if you notice the noise floor
yup those do the trick
i have a couple
The only thing I would be hesitant about it is just it being a closed back, but it’s there when I need isolation
Does it have to be from target?
I picked up the hyper x cloud 3, I was already there, and I had employee discount so it helps, but I guess it wasn’t necessary
Yeah i live in a dorm thats why i need some closed backs
you could have gotten some affordable studio cans with a mod mic would have sounded 1000x better but i understand that's maybe wasn't possible
Yeah, I had some gift cards lying around, and it was on sale plus my discount
Need some affordable USB-C to 3.5mm DAC
so real man
Nvm imma buy Apple’s dongle lol
I’m using some dollar store ones and I wanted to get a new one just in case this one breaks
i hate using dongles fr
I run IEM’s these days
w
Like I have earbuds and ANC headphones
But for proper indoor listening I use my IEM’s
Outside is Bluetooth Xiaomi shit
Plane and loud roommate is ANC
I even use my iems in exchange for anc cause it somehow is not really worse...
Tho I'm lucky that m moondrop blessing 3 basically fit perfectly in my ears, combined with spinfit tips a near perfect seal
Helped me during some Event audio shit.
Plus helps me being socially awkward and having the outside noise a lot more quiet... (but that's also given with anc so yea.)
As for dacs, apple dac is fine if you're outside of the eu, cx31993 is also good, if you like spending money something like the moondrop dawn pro is the highest end option that still makes sense in my ears (power wise mostly tho). Tho I use that more like for my laptop or something cause it's pretty annoying having it flop around when using your phone.
there are usb power conditioning adapters
just google usb power cleaner adapter
they can have quality differences sometimes so beware
you can also try changing ports
to like usb 2.0 / 3.0
or the front panel
physically distancing ports from components and other electronics may be beneficial
the cable and the dac too
hmmm i see, i'm still confused as to why it'd be so much worse coming out of the mixer compared to coming out of the dac
may be related to what I've said before
it might be interference from another electronic than your computer
could be related to lack of isolation of the mixer or the cable
or the usb port
or the cables within the computer case being close to things it shouldn't ideally be close to
I do have all the sata and audio cables fairly close together, and all my audio stuff is in a rack so thats hard to avoid. And I dont have any issues with other audio sources. I do want to try to go directly from my onboard audio to the mixer to see if it could be the dac. and ill try different usb ports
rather than the data stuff its the power thats the issue
i do try to keep my power cables seperate from analog audio stuffs if thats what you mean
source issue is likely poor shielding of your usb ports
which leads to interference
you can use a cleaner like I said to counteract the issue
My dac does support a seperate DC in so worst case scenario i could just run a data only usb cable (i think?)
yeah do use that
if you have interference still with a dc cable i don't think you can do much aside from using a power cleaner
given you have narrowed down the issue to be the signal you receive from the computer and not the dc signal
mhm mhm, welp i'll be trying that then, I may or may not report back depending on if it works or not
should I get a pair of moon drop chu's cause I want some cheapo IeMs that I can bring to school and not really care about them getting stolen
or breaking

what bluetooth earbuds would yall recomend? i cant buy the ones from ali that yall always recomend shipping will take way too long
mdoondrop space travel
whats the aliexpress ones?
Am I likely to damage my amplifier if I go below the recommended minimum impedance?
It says 8 ohms minimum for bridged mono, and I have a 6 ohm subwofer I want to power with it
The concern is what happens when you play the 6 ohm sub at max volume. It will draw a bit more current than the amp is prepared for and it might overheat, shut down, catch fire, or clip hard and make your sub's voice coil fly out of its socket.
If you slowly raise the volume while playing music you should be pretty obvious when something is unhappy
If you're a moron and set it to max volume before a fat beat drop then you're gonna find out what, if any, protection circuit your amp has.
It is a 900 watt rated amp on a 500 watt subwoofer, so maybe I can get away with it
It's interesting because it claims to be 2 ohm stable with both channels driven which should translate to a 4 ohm bridged minimum rating
¯_(ツ)_/¯
Hey I'm looking for a field recorder and a bit ago I was looking at the Tascam X6 and Zoom H4 Essential and decided on the Tascam X6 due to better preamps. The X6 is $260 and the H4e is $200 and I think the better preamps are worth the price. But I decided to wait till black friday/cyber monday to see if the x6 went on sale and it didn't, except for the Zoom H4n is now on sale for $170 and now I'm debating if the X6 is worth the $90 difference since both handhelds are roughly the same except for the X6 which has the better preamps (less self/white noise at low levels). The Zooms worse preamps seem to be something people often point out in reviews. Anyone have some expertise on the subject and mind helping me decide? Any help is appreciated
What's a good high end (price isn't a factor well not like 40k$ lol) headset for a workstation for game development audi work etc
sennheiser hd600/hd650/hd6xx is a very common reference headphone.
not really "high end" in the grand scheme of things but they're still one of the best headphones regardless of price.
hd800s are comfy and very open. they provide a big stage which can be really fun for games and certain types of music, but i have an hd800 and a 6xx and the hd800 stays mostly on the shelf and the hd6xx is almost always on my desk
and closed back is entirely up to you. if you're in a place with a lot of distracting noise, closed back could be preferable
there aren't a ton of good closed backs out there. focal has some high end options that will be worth looking into like the focal azurys. fiio ft-1 is the latest closed back hotness
if you're interested in the benefits of the hd800s, this is a better alternative
the lack of clamp is the part that i consider comfortable
it does slide off if i lean back or forward
which is a firm negative otherwise
Anyone know if the ankor soundcore boom plus any good
I don't like em, not super comfy, kinda suffocating, and I liked my A40s better tbh
gonna return the Cloud 3s and just use my A40s for now
portable speakers are kinda ass for sound quality across the board
what are you using it for?
sometimes outdoor use but mainly indoor
what speakers do you recommend that are under 100
I forgot
What budget?
Any thoughts on the Logitech Pro X 2 Lightspeed? The headset, not the mouse
Ik audiophile stuff is better, this is for a gift
if you want a bluetooth speaker, UE nad JBL make good stuff.
wonderboom is really good for the money
What about ankor?
what about it?
Are they good or nah
I mean it'll work fine for outdoor use
I'm just warning you that portable speakers are all kinda same-y across the board
still same
again, don't buy portable speakers on the basis of sound quality
drivers are physically too limited for the sound pressure it has to generate to sound "good" by any metric
it'll just be either usable or not and the anker one is fine
they make cheap stuff. idk if they have anything thats "good"
100euros
Galaxy buds FE
Quick question, if i want to get the best out of the sound quality of beyerdynamic on 250ohm will it be good idea to get soundcard or amplifier is the answer, cause i think a motherboard support around 80ohm, thats what ppl say
you dont need one
Amplifier or both amp and soundcard
any of those
anything can benefit from a good amplifier but its idiotic to spend money on an amplifier when your headphone costs as much as a mediocre one
nah its not that much
id say you can get pretty decent amplifiers for like 200€
but the benefits of that are still overshadowed by buying a headphone thats 200€ more expensive than what you currently own
Fair enough
I like Sennheiser 😄
I got the Hifiman Sundara and I just always seem to like my Sennehiser HD 599 more than anything
I mean
no wonder if you bought the sundara
long time meme
Ya, perfect example of price doesn't make the headphone. Sennheiser just better than a lot.
idk i fucking hate sennheiser
I can tolerate their headphones
that's about it I don't enjoy them
which garbage?
Cause I really really hate people generalizing headphones to the brands
Every company has like 2 good headphones and 100 bad ones
Friend of mine modeled me a pretty nice looking subwoofer port
Going to try and 3D print this later
I wonder if I could modify it to include that Bowers and Wilkins technology to reduce port noise
FDM printed parts are too pourus
I'll probably go with carbon fiber reinforced
or a metal print
and plenty of wall layers
if you have the model file (not the mesh) you could add that not without too much difficulty, and it'd come out nicely with a resin print
Ah, okay. I'll try resin in that case.
that is a pa speaker
wish it had more bass
Fiio is the new hifiman
nah
welll true with their ft1 pro
just sold my ft1, I didn't use it at the office
shit is so noisy there that I need ANC
I was wondering will labs ever post their findings on headphones on the website I was curious to see how accurate my headphones where and I was kinda sad to see they don't have headphones on the website
Which headphones? Other places might have them
Ltt is really behind in terms of audio so who knows when it's gonna be up and running
I'm not sure exactly which model it is but it's one of the haptic models from razer. I got them initially for racing sim but I ended up falling in love with the haptics and they sound pretty good imo
It was one of the first models that had haptics
The nari ultimate funny enough i just saw ltt actually has a video on it but it was from 5 years ago
This is the nari essential, not ultimate
This is for the nari ultimate wireless
Though rtings graphs are always a bit iffy
Thank you I appreciate that
that looks pretty good on tone for the nari essential
a dip around 120hz would clean up the bass for music listening
or shelf down for gaming, maybe some extra treble too
What’s the best amplifier for some roof speakers
what transistors are more suited for roof
how do you define roof
what transistors are more suited for concert speakers? then there is some kind of requirements and criteria for that choice, or ultimately what kind of amp makes sense
extreme volume
Do you just need cheap power or what?
No I need quality and tv connectivity
Take a look at the wiim amp.
Or get a wiim streamer with a fosi amp
Do they need to be individually addressable for Atmos or are they all gonna be playing the same thing
They will be playing the same thing, I was thinking of an AV receiver
Sure. But also you can just daisy chain a bunch of stereo amps
Get a speaker selector or an RCA splitter
If you wire it carefully you might even be able to play all the ceiling speakers off of one amp.
Yeah but how do you connect the amplifier to the tv
With the wiim pro streamer
Has optical, USB, and HDMI arc
Or just use the stereo output of the TV
are there any good headsets/ earphones with included mic for under 19usd
"good", no
"usable", yes
If you could up your budget to 30-40 you could get some decent IEMS with a mic
cheapest half decent IEMs I've seen with a mic was $26
Truthear gate with mic.
You should've bought during black friday sale though.
well look again, I present to you one of the best stock cables I've ever felt on an iem at any price
I kid you not I know some people who bought this iem for the cable
a simple no nonsense cable
I should say bought and enjoyed*
lol I might do the same..
Ahhh okok that's diff
but yeah Truthear Gate itself feels like a 20 dollar iem, but it really is decent for the price and comes with the mic
thx
What headphones have a great soundstage under $500, can go a little over, don't have such a big budget for headphones like the hd800.
edition xs
how do you define great soundstage
width? strength? sphericalness or perhaps precision?
the xs has a very active and strong soundstage, pretty spherical. but not that large, and not that precise
ath-r70x is popular for stage size and precision, similar story with hd490 pro. I haven't tried either though
I like my dt880 600r for width, precision, airyness, and being mostly spherical
hd660s and hd660s2 are said to fall into this category, but their midrange tone is not that balanced out of the box
r70x has never been popular for its stage
its got good imaging is all
It has one of the smallest stages there are on open backs
width is the only metric of a soundstage you mentioned, everything else you mentioned falls under imaging
when you are in a misinformation match and your opponent is jackson
imaging and soundstage are extremely tied together though
kind of like how sound is associated with headphone
they are
but location information aside from "how far shit can be" falls under imaging
sound placement is imaging
directionality is imaging
notice how I redacted the word "imaging" when talking about precision
no
it was for the sake of keeping things as simple as possible for someone who probably doesn't know how audiophiles talk
sure but then you recommended r70x
I daily drive that headphone and it has one of the worst soundstages there is
it barely has any depth to it
I mentioned it's existence as described from other people. I did not recommend the headphone as I don't have it
it has insane imaging ill give you that
but I could count the amount of times where an instrument sounds notably further from another depth wise in an hour long critical listening session on one hand probably
I suspect that r70x is not compatible with human head
and at that stage its less the headphones ability and more the audio engineer's ability
why so
I'm just scared of buying an r70x after seeing how the ad500x I got fit onto my head and my rig
it took legendary levels of rubber bands and probably 40lbs of clamp force to get the top part of the cups to seal onto the rig
you sure it wasn't aftermarket pads?
nah it was oem, but I got this thing open box
generally new oval pads don't fit these earcups so the bottom is unsealed
I hate how there's no vertical swivel for the earcups
it's a horrible design decision
never had an issue with it personally ig thats a difference in our head shapes
least with r70x thats slightly different
I mean the rig is ITU-p58 compliant
correct distance and angles for the plates and pinnas
I meant the testing rig literally called ears
theoretically ears on human heads are very strictly 6.0 inches apart
did the suspenders touch the top on r70x
ye
odd
if you're in the headphones.com discord, I think the picture is one of the last messages I sent
I saw listener was a mod in there and immediately left
he also prebanned everyone that he saw in sonic visions as a precaution
what a great moderator
I may also have been banned due to being in an ethically dubious audio discord
lord giveth listener taketh
no comment
actually I'll say this
I have a list of bombs that I refer to whenever I join a new audio server
bombs are certain discord users in a position of power that have proven they'll ban me on every server they see me on, not just the server where I annoyed someone
if I don't see them first, I explode and more of these bombs are potentially created due to word of mouth
so there's several audio servers I'm not in but also not banned on, and spent a whole 60 seconds there before leaving
actually some other kinds of servers too. photography, pc building, music production
all on the list entirely born from audiophile servers
honestly I'm surprised I made it this far on this server given one of the staff members which is sort of in a gray area on my list
not an official addition
I will now surgery this broken mc450 someone shipped me
I got banned by listener for just saying hi
Lol
It was my one and only message
it's their server I guess
I was just really invested in it and had no idea I was going to suddenly disappear
like it's equally unfair to let people get complacent with being in that server when authority is going to be used like that
what is rule 2
I don't know 😭
its arbitrary
Be kind. Treat everyone with respect. Absolutely no harassment, intimidation, bigotry, witch hunting, sexism, racism, or hate speech will be tolerated.
yeah like I said
should really just be "Nobody in here has ever been outside so please treat them all like the delicate little snowflakes that they are"
its probable that the stated ban reasons most people are receiving are not actual ban reasons and cannot be backed by evidence
rule 2 is basically a catch-all
and they stopped publicly stating why people got banned too
my ban contradicted the respect eachothers opinions rule
I was always courteous and calm, and stopped talking when asked to stop
and I dont deny other people's experiences
aside from not being on board with their FR = everything stance and how by-ear eq should be done, everything was well
disclaimer this is only being posted for history and analysis of how audiophiles interact with eachother, and is not for dispute or debate of the ban nor to target or blame individual members
oh swear filter triggered for some reason
"The short of it is that you were banned due to a consensus among the moderation team that the server would be better off without you. It was not a unilateral decision made by one of us, an internal vote was taken with a substantial majority in favor of your removal.
We'd received complaints from valued server members as well as moderators themselves regarding your insistence promoting unscientific and untested ideas as worthwhile counterarguments to established science, as well as regularly going on solipsistic rants, and we thought it best to remove you since vanishingly few of our efforts ever seemed to actually help you understand why these things are an issue."
what a loser
I have learned a lot from these people, and it's improved how I can deliver help and advice
and I assumed they learned some things from me too, on occasion
sincerely being indebted for the free guidance and information while also being violently cast out like this is a very strange predicament and leaves a bad taste in my mouth
that must be a big box
Does anyone have any advice on how to make shift ear pads for headphones? I used the sock donut method from the WC website but they're uncomfortable
Ik it's not worth the $ but I wonder how good these legit sound https://www.crutchfield.com/p_370APERIOB/Warwick-Acoustics-Aperio-Black.html?tp=60833
They're not terrible, but they are really heavy
Well. They're terrible for $40k. You can get a better audio experience for that money
If I had a pair for free I probably wouldn't use them all the time. Again, because they're heavy as shit.
What would be a good amp/AV receiver to use for two two 8 Ohm 120-170W Nominal/Music rated speaker boxes? My current one is really old (could very well be over 15y old) and a hum keeps coming up that can be temporarily fixed by slamming it on the ground. Having it repaired might cost more than a new one does so I'm looking for some options. I almost never use full volume since they're really loud, even at half volume
- What country do you live in
- How much money do you wanna spend
- What sort of connectivity or features do you need.
Anyone have a schiit syn? Thinking abt getting one down the line for an all in one solution
oh yeah, spend some of that for a decent speaker system(I would rec kef ls60 if you're too lazy building a whole system)
you don't want to have to wear something all the time just to enjoy the sound
Are there any good headsets for Xbox?
I have a budget of £300
- Switzerland
- Not sure actually, like 250-300CHF max
- Not much, just some audio input and two speaker terminals for connecting my two speakers
I did some research on my own yesterday and stumbled across the Yamaha A-S201. It's got all I need. Two zones with two terminals for speakers each (L+R) and a rated RMS power of 2x125W when using 8 Ohm speakers. Perfect for mine since I won't ever have them at full volume, they're simply too loud for that haha. It's just 199 CHF
Keen to finally give these a go
Save your ears
Need some help with a Xbox headset I’m unsure on what kind of headset I need but I’m playing competitive call of duty. Have a budget of 300 pounds. UK.
E
castor, vader, libra are better than those at under $10
are white shark falcon headphones good
yo is this the right channel to say that i have no clue which headphones to buy
Been looking for some of those IMAX subwoofers for years. Shame they're selling the whole system.
No hatespeech about sennheiser
Nils would fit right in
Probably would be a mod there for how much he shills it
Gives DMS a run for his money
does anyone know how to get your audio drivers to install properly ??
maxwell audeze is better but costs a bit more
budget? and do you know what type of sound you want?
Does anybody know a good bang for buck wireless receiver and clipon mic combo
I need one that can hook up multiple mics to it and record with decent enough fidelity and range for vocals
For acting basically so that we don't have to do re-dubs for the final vox track
And preferrably the mics are tactile enough to have them hidden in costumes n sht
is there any cheaper good amp thats not the fosi audio za3 that i can pair with the warfdale 9.1
£130 each is a lil out of my budget at the moment
I bought a pair a few months ago to replace a still perfectly good pair of panasonic earbuds that I got for $8 6 years ago. I think these are good for when I'm out and about, although the cable it came with broke pretty fast so I had to buy a new one- although the replacement cable was much more comfortable and tangle-free.
at this point i might just not get a amp and speakers that require one and just get a Edifier Studio R2000DB to pair with my t5
I have a pair of Sennheiser HD 650s and just wanted to give IEM's a try since it's been like a good decade or so since I've used and I was very plesantly surprised considering I paid $35. Though as you added and almost every review there is out on them, cable is an issue xD. Mine functions at a very particular angle while pluggged in & if you move it a inch it poops itself
Yeah, I was happy considering the price point. Still prefer to use my HD600's while at home of course.
which one of these is better

Take your gaming to the next level by enhancing your hearing senses with the 7.1 Surround sound card. The virtual 7.1 surround sound will give you a competitive edge, or immersion into your favorite video games.
so old cloud II's is better?@buoyant vale
fwiw, I still think these compete with things like the truthear zero red or truthear zero 2
you now have the most sensitive high-pickup listening device I've tried
followed by AT m50x, neumann ndh20, and mackie mc450 roughly
the second one seemed to help the hyperx cloud alpha S I have sound more binaurally correct and have more intense reverbs in titanfall II
the first one that belongs with the hyperx cloud II was mostly just annoying so I don't use it
oh so out of these two i should prefer the newer one?
also I wouldn't recommend using that remote on anything much different than the alpha S
uh I have a recording somewhere of what it does
one sec
hectic
btw i have steelseries arctis 7p+ dongle is out of commission so using it wired with 3.5mm jack
these are my only usb options other is internal. Creative soundblaster sb0880 which is 50% more expensive compared to these
these are some of my oldest sound demos iirc. this is just showcasing the modifications the remote makes, not what it sounds like paired to the real headset
left is normal, right is 7.1 mode on
left will sound more normal too because it's unedited pc audio
yeah left one sounds better to me
usb both are near 7$ and creative sb0880 is near 13$ here in my country
any headphone recommendation?
Right now I have the "Razer Kraken Pro v2" and they are perfect, comfortable, great mic and amazing sound quality but they are starting to break down after years...
I'm playing competitive gaming so I need something good for that 👍🏻
my budget is around 130$ and I live in Israel
oh nice i have a pair
I was looking to get some cheap IeMs any recommendations
very happy with them so far, not so much the cable xD
yeah their some nice IeM sadly the audio jax on my pc broke
so I cant use them

Does anyone know why i cant get any game audio to run though my dac? like when I try and output my game audio it just doesnt play through my dac for what ever reason. (Topping D70 Pro)
tried searching but cant find any good traveling gaming headsets with a mic. i travel for work and want to pack my laptop and xbox s. tired of using earbuds to play games. any suggestions on a good over ear with a mic? foldable and/or wireless would be a plus. needs to fit in my carry on luggage
Truthear Gate, especially if you live somewhere cold
Salnotes Zero and Zero 2 are solid options too
Chu 2 I'm okay with but the paint isn't the most durable and for me, because of the temperature delta between outdoors and indoors the Chu 2 (most Moondrop iems actually) has condensation issues on the filter which causes channel imbalance until it's dried out
It definitely feels well built, though.
is sb0880 known as creative soundblaster titanium hd still worth buying for 13$ today gonna use it with my arctis 7p+ wired and old sony aiwa sound system

I have to say, the audio when directly plugged into this laptop (X1 carbon) is garbage compared with the audio from the dock (thinkpad thunderbolt dock)
I did not expect such a big difference
i need more usb ports on my pc for studio equipment any suggestions?
clearly the laptop is using a shit DAC
USB hubs.
but ... make sure you get the right ones and plug them into the right place
Any recommendations?🫶🏼
a quick google search found https://www.thomann.co.uk/swissonic_usb_hub_1916.htm
and yeah maybe you're "overpaying", but it's better than a rats nest of unreliable bullshit in your studio.
Appreciate you Bob 🫶🏼
I think that would be perfect because I should be able to use that for a mobile set up to a laptop Right
Theoretically
If you're using a laptop, you might want a thunderbolt hub
but yes, either way that would still work
Well I currently have a desktop set up but in the future wanna do mobile recording
I mean it depends how serious you are about it, but if you are building a road case etc then yeah I would absolutely go with the rackmount unit and put it at the back
That way you aren't fucking around and shit is reliable
Yeah going pretty serious
In theory I wanna have it to roll around recording music and podcasts
You can always have a thunderbolt hub/dock that then plugs into that hub, but also charges the laptop
I'm a big fan of less cables, so single plug for the laptop is A+
I have 2 ecoflow to charge the whole system
Bob can I pick your brain for a little
So I'm thinking of the mobile cart to be something like this
Whether you have a permanent installation or mobile, Seismic Audio's 12 Space Rack Cases are rugged enough to handle whatever you throw at them - road ready and built to last! This 12 Space Rack Case from Seismic Audio Speakers has a slant mixer top and casters. The rack case with 10 space slant ...
Do I get Bob's blessing on the build?
Also saw someone making custom xlr cables with really good insulation so I'm planning on putting custom length cables in the unit to make cable management easier
oh that would be cool
yeah that would be very cool, can have it setup in a few minutes
Yeah I should have the remaining of the equipment arrive in early January see how much room I'd need in a cart and shop for one
I mean if you're doing podcasts you just need 3 mics/3 headphones.
Yeah I went a little over kill have a 6 mic set up with 8 headphones only limitations is headphones and microphones but can purchase if needed my set up I can buy at just about any music center to best buy
overkill, best kind of kill
Hd6xx
Wired
Wireless there’s not one that comes close at that price range
I was thinking of getting a Jotenheim 2, lokius, modius stack from schiit.
But all the reviews state they get really warm, this is very undesired.
Is there an equivalent stack out there for the same price without the heat
Its not really a problem. The engineers usually design them with that in consideration. Its more a problem of how much it heats up your room.
Why is this an issue
The area is too hot to begin with a 60 watt led produces too much heat in the area it’s a comfort thing
I live with the elderly the thermostat goes up a few degrees every year
Get the midgard then. Runs much cooler.
Had my heart set on silver
midgard + sandpaper
lol
also modius is a meme
- moondrop dawn pro
- tempotec sonata bhd pro
- fiio ka13/ka3
or anything good in below 100$
gonna run arctis 7p plus and my aiwa sound system on them
best at what? (within sound)
What are the differences between a front firing and a downward firing subwoofer?
bass goes to the front and is affected less by the surface you place the sub on or the placement in general
vs bass goes downward and more evenly "fills" a space with bass, but is much more picky with placement
Sounds like front firing is the way to go
Probably less annoying for people below, too.
tune or live
Not much. Mostly just you limiting who can stick their fingers in the driver to damage it.
Bass is omnidirectional. It will go everywhere and more or less not care about which direction the woofer is facing unless you're doing shenanigans above like 150-200hz.
Coupling to the floor might play a role. And maybe if the front volume space is significantly restricted.
It will go everywhere as in you'll hear it yes, but it does affect how it'll interact with the room immediately past the driver
Would getting a different pair of headphones with the same audio interface have better sound quality? Cause i use a goxlr right now with my arctis 7, and i want to get the dt 990 headphones. Would that mean better sound quality?
Yo guys what are some good speakers I can use to connect to my vinyl player via cable but I can also connect them to my phone via Bluetooth my budget is like 150-200€ thanks in advance
Check out options from edifier
What is a good pair of iems or wired headphones for less than $200 for the purpose of playing guitar

What do you think about the Nothing CMF Buds Pro 2 ?
Hello! I have a question. Are there any noticeable differences between the ear (2) and the ear 2024 by nothing?
Still waiting if anybody knows where to start
I know a thing or two about audio but looking for at least a push in a general direction when it comes to recording vox wireless. Never really used that kinda crap so I'm not aware of any gotchas. I can sync audio to a video track myself
Just looking for discreet enough clipon mic base as interface or even standalone machine that records
Or ghetto hacky solutions welcome too. For instance I considered misappropriating handsfree bluetooth earpieces but pretty sure most will have drecky codecs w sample rates of like 8kHz because telephony
You might be asking in the wrong server. Not a lot of people here know about pro audio. Maybe the podcastage server would have someone who knows.
I'm seeing standalone receiver combos w 1/4 input and such. Can FM be decent enough or should I skip straight to Bluetooth
I'll try asking there
Does DT 990 pro is good headphones?
Yes you should buy some ✌️
so i'd finally like to move on from my 15€ mic thats over 10 years old. i'd rather look at solutions in the 50-80€ range but can pay more if i think the upsides are reasonable, e.g. including an amplifier or sth.
i just use the mic for discord and 99% of the time im not using headphones, so most important for me is that there wont be any background noises (which my 15€ can do so i hope thats not a problem)
if u wanna look at prices in my country, use https://geizhals.de
Is this a good beginner audio setup?
pretty good
umc202 might be a slight overkill if you want to minimize your cost but otherwise its a really nice interface
also I take it back
m20x is shit
you also probably dont need a shock mount
and its debatable whether or not you would need a pop filter either
behringer c1 + um2
xm8500 if its too expensive
as for the background noises, thats related to how you use your mic
if you minimize gain and distance you have to the mic it will reject surrounding audio that much more
does the um2 act as an amplifier that i can put my 5.1 system in or is it just for the mic?
No
i dont think any audio interface is capable of that
Do these look right?
So i can have both a playback and recording device?
why is pink headphone?
Does anyone know a microphone for windows 10-11 that is really good for recording youtube videos? Around 100-200 dollars. Or where i can find at least. I tried yt but it didnt really help. Im planning on only recording on my pc. I dont want it to take up lots of background volume like from my mouse and keyboard etc. But i also dont want it to be 1 cm close to my mouth. Something that will last as well.
not a very possible request
why
far and no background noise
its possible if you buy a shotgun mic but those are expensive
and still pick up background noise from sides
there is a good reason why most youtubers or streamers you see on twitch will have their mouth on the mic
what mic should i get then
idk man I have nothing that fits your bill
well it depends on how close
its not like there is a line that once you cross its fine
what is close to you
the closer you are the better generally
like 5cm
thats generally the distance I have with my mic
what if the distance doesnt matter to me
what mic should i get then
use case?
that mic is only 20 bucks?
how dare they make it so cheap
is that a problem
lmao
thats generally a good thing
I'm going to write to beringher
well often cheaper means lower quality
its a mic
and ask them to make it more expensive
you can listen to how it sounds online

Kind of an odd question. I have a Samson MBA38 that a friend sent to me. He started disassembling it and the spring flew out, so it's in pieces, and I have no clue how it goes back together. Anyone have any idea how to put it back together?
100$ and need IEM guys recommend me YouTube sucks so many ads I don't trust them I tried Clinical ... Please help
why did you guys do this
those things have tensioned wires and springs in them to stand upright
disassembling something that actively applies a counterforce isn't a smart idea
He lives across the country, decided to ship it to me, and I guess didn't realize just how much of a pain it was going to be when he made the decision to break it down.
What didd you try?
I think he means Crinacle? https://crinacle.com/rankings/iems/
Youtube sucks so many ads and he tried Clinical?
He listened to Crin but too many ads?
Except Crin doesn't really run ads?
I agree
But I am talking about other YouTubers like all somehow sponsored so I tried Crin charts couldn't fine the ideal product that I want give me recommendations..
did you die
anyways no dont try to fix it
you cant win with that spring
I made the same mistake not knowing there was an evil spring and it went through my wall
it would be like trying to load a crossbow by pushing down on the arrow
i have some weird ass record that is 29.5 rpm rather than 33
no idea why it was made at that speed
it says 33 rpm on it but runs fast at 33
Are there like open back 3d printed housings I can print for my kraken v3 x? I hate being able to barely hear myself talk or my mom when she needs me
I could also drill into the housings but I don’t know how risky it would be, of course I’d take all the internals out but
it is a 1 of 1 dj copy of a record from 1996 so im not surprised
1996 is pretty new
i have a doors vinyl from 1968 it runs fine
wdym dj copy?
its a white label from the rave days
Oh hmmm
no its 1991
White label for testing or for distribution?
actually that shouldn't matter
no that's weird
marketing i think
not weird if the track was supposed to run slightly faster as DJs do for easier transitions
i know the song well and it sounds right on 29.5
rather than 33
ive had a few records run 1 or 2 rpm slow or fast but not that far
Can someone please help me (What to ask for christams)
i have the jbl tune beam (anc) earbuds but the cfm buds 2 (pro?) look really good having almost double the driver size. I LOVE music but i dont know if its worth asking for them and i dont like headphones since they mess my hair and i have a headphone dent already. If no what should i ask for christmas tech wise?
Does anyone know a microphone for windows 10-11 that is really good for recording youtube videos? Around 100-200 dollars. Or where i can find at least. I tried yt but it didnt really help. Im planning on only recording on my pc.
Get a Samson q2u or an atr-2100x with a boom arm.
Most of the thing that makes someone sound good for voice over is vocal processing and the proximity effect. Have their mic real close and use a compressor, de-esser, noise gate, to make it sound clean and clear. You can do these for free in OBS.
If you wanna be fancy, you can get a xm8500 with an elgato wave XLR. The wave XLR has those effects built into a nice and easy software.
i prefer simplicity
im very new to mics so i dont know if i should be getting xlr
both options recommended support both xlr and usb, can use the usb for now and upgrade to xlr later if you need it
xlr is like
a cable
that goes into your interface
that has like 3 functions maybe at the consumer level
i wouldnt call plugging in a cable then turning a knob confusing
XLR helps you customize your gear more. The first two options are USB and XLR so they can be very simple now and more sophisticated later if you'd like
Best $150 or less wireless headphones for travel and out and about
Ugreen max5c is getting a lot of buzz right now
so i just got both delivered to me, but i have like literally no cables to connect them, at all.
also u have mic arm recommendations?
ah the xlr port on the interface looked a bit dubious to me and i thought a normal xlr cable wouldnt fit, i dont have one but thats no problem.
i can at least get it to work once i have that cable, so i'll just need a mic arm or put it flat on the table at first, i'll see
would the behringer c1 fit into this one?
https://www.ebay.de/itm/364869770576
seems ok to me and i can get an XLR cable with free shipping as well
https://www.ebay.de/itm/190877784418
alongside this cable,
should be fine right?
question
im looking for a mesh butooth speaker system, specifically ones you could plug in the wall and set, say on a book shelf, and play the same audio on all fo them at the same time
Explore this post and more from the Bluetooth_Speakers community
i believe sonos is what im looking for but its expensive, so im not sure if a cheaper alternative exists
Yep, sounds like it. I too don't like the cost or close source nature of Sonos, but I have yet to find an alternative that 1) doesn't require gobs of my time to implement and 2) doesn't require gobs of my time to troubleshoot for the family, thus I have paid the Sonos tax. This Wirecutter article may be of use for your research.
https://www.nytimes.com/wirecutter/reviews/best-multiroom-wireless-speaker-system/
yeah
also its a little more dificult because they (grandparents) dont have wifi, and ive seen one or 2 things that look like they require it,
while i could set up a locan network relatively cheaply, id prefer direcct connection
Uh. Do they have internet? Or are they like... downloading content onto their tablet(?) at the library / friends houses to then later consume at home where there's no internet?
cellular on their phones only
Technically, some of these speakers don't need "internet" - they just need a local network.
https://www.amazon.com/Soundcore-PartyCast-Waterproof-Customizable-Tailgating/dp/B0BGYCY8VR?th=1 this actually dosent look half bad for what their use case would be
yeah
most arent cheap still :/ looks like that anker one might be my cheapest route
2 rooms would be adequate, but not the best
could it be possible to diy it?
they dont need anything fancy, they listen to old time radio shows and dont know what good sound quality is
is there a way i can fix my record player running 2 rpm fast other than just turning it down by 2 rpm

you could probably just do this and leave em plugged in
definitely the cheap option, not the best tho
I agree I hate paying Sonos and you need an app to use most of their stuff
but their convenience really is unmatched
has anyone gotten the apple 3.5 headphone adapter to work as line-in?
Yes why
Arylic make some decent streaming boards and speakers that might be what you are looking for
Could connect these to existing amplifiers
how do you get it to work, and in stereo?
i want to stream my keyboard audio with iphone on discord
Can someone please tell me if the cmf buds pro 2 are any better than the jbl tune beam ?
i’d personally get cmf’s over beams
though, for me probs neither because cmf’s would be bassy for me, it’s up to you
you can't
I thought you were referring to the type C to 3.5mm
I don't know how Apple does their audio system so I can't specify that
but you can't get stereo from a single mono microphone
ah sorry, yes, im referring to the lighting headphone adapter
its a stereo line-in that im trying to use, without the extra ring
finally got a cheap pa amplifier for my pa bedroom setup
Looking for some recommendations on a budget soundbar mainly just to "get me by" with a new tv, i dont have much space in my room right now so just want something that goes under the TV, preferably a brand thats able to be used with another AV reciever in the future as a center channel if possible?
Is the shure sm7b xlr only?
Focal utopias for gaming lol
Yes
I wonder if focal utopias would outdo hd800s in gaming
Or even a susvara
So I would need the mic, and an xlr interface
Yes something to provide power to it
I’m trying to find a solution for an extremely niche situation: I am looking for a wireless USB-C to USB-C adapter to hook up a drawing tablet to (an Intuos Pro 16 specifically) but the problem is every solution I look at is HDMI. I’ve had bad experiences using (insert display input type here)-to-HDMI products in the past, largely due to my laptop failing to recognize it, so I’m looking for one of that specific type. I just want to have a wireless setup where I don’t have to get frustrated over having too cluttered of a space.
Why would you introduce latency to a drawing tablet
That is a risk I am willing to take.
The problem I have is every single solution is for casting to HDMI. HDMI is a garbage input type.
Is that all I would need? Would the xlr interface need have a powerful enough pre amp? I’m assuming so
Yes however unless ur spending 10$ ull find almost all interfaces can drive it
And if ur still worried the db version has a cloudlifter built in (well something similar)
Still needs a xlr interface doe
Ah ok thanks
Would you be able to reccomend a good xlr interface? I’m not too sure what I’m looking for really, specifics and specs wise
If u want a interface that's not cheap but good there's goxlr, rodecaster pro 2 and it's mini version elgato has a wave xlr option for cheap, or a wave xlr dock that goes into a stream deck option
More expensive options from Mackie and it's dlz creator series
Easiest to use and coincidentally cheapest is wave xlr
wait i didnt realize this was a good place to ask for this until now
ok basically im looking for a goxlr but with more sliders or spinny thingies
to control audio stuffs of different applications and the like
any recs to find one
Do Sony WH1000XM5 have better sound quality than AirPods Max?
I tried the sonys on and they frankly sounded like shit so I was wondering how they compared to Airpods max
Would you recommend it? I have a stream deck so it would be handy to go for the dock
I'd say Airpods max are better, both are not great
WH1000XM5 are wayyyy too bassy
I agree it ruined the entire sound signature for me
and honestly I don't like the comfort either
the mids sound incredible stifled as a result
I think after some debilitation I'll go for the MW75
Anyone know if the elgato wave xlr dock is any good? Hearing mixed reviews on it
Wanting to use it for a Shure SM7B
Don't say that you'll summon Klaus
What do you think Klaus
nope
if i had the choice i’d get airpods maxes for sure
aslong they’re free

kil sm7b
I don't think the dock has a gain knob either bad sign for an interface
streamer™️ bait
Elgato wave looks good for streaming and discord. Wouldn't recommend it for musicians.
Also the sm7b is an overpriced meme.
Heya, im looking for some speakers and ive got about £50 - £75 to play with (in GBP), have never owned speakers before and have always used headphones/earphones, any recommendations?
Save up more or get some creative pebbles or something if you need speakers right now
Damn okay
Forgot to specify these will just be for my desk nothing crazy
connected to my computer
Creative pebbles it is.
You can get a 2.1 version that comes with a subwoofer if you wanna be fancy
They're pretty basic, won't get super loud, but cheap speakers arent good. The pebbles are the exception because they're not very ambitious.
ah okay, and if i wanted a decent setup for my desk how much do you reckon i would be looking at?
The cheapest thing that I would say is "good" would be the JBL 305P mkii or Kali LP-UNF
Edifier also has a lot of good budget options and Klipsch has their promedia 2.1. both of which aren't perfect, but they're designed by people who know the speaker's limitations.
perfect okay thank you both for all the advice
ill be looking into all those options
I think the lsr305 is called 305p mkII over here
right
Would these be decent front speakers in a surround setup? https://www.cashconverters.co.uk/shop/music-tv--video/home-theatre-tvs--hifi-stereos/wired-speakers/stereo-speakers/015700270939
can do worse for $99. they're gonna be loud and probably need a subwoofer.
and you can rotate the speaker to choose between tall dispersion or wide dispersion depending on your room
Shame they don't come with the covers. Pretty ugly speakers with those foam surrounds.
Are steel series headsets any good? My razer black shark v2x are finally kicking the bucket after 4 years
I know the budget isn't really there but I know it's still worth an ask. What's the best pair of wireless earphones can I get for £15-20? Supposed to be a gift & they don't care about getting an insane pair but want to try get the best for the money still
Preferrably a design like this as other ones fall out
supermix 4, em6l or zero reds for mostly gaming and some music, I have a audio interface dont know if i need dac, I’m also open to other suggestions in that price range
Take a look at the moon drop space travel
which would you reccomend for a beginner looking to make music arturia minilab 3, or a akai mpk mini mk3?
Any other options? Want to take a look at a few but recommendations online aren't helping much
They're gonna be for my partner, I've got the sound core liberty air 2 pros which fit nicely in her ears so wanted to get iems with a similar build, as the ones she got are like little pods and are dying anyway
The space travels are on amazon for 21.04 so I'll consider that, just the case looks like they'll fall out easily
nothing really good at that price point aside from the space travels
unless you drop the case it wont happen, the iems are incredibly light and magnets are fairly strong
Alright thank you, I jave seen these rec9mmended afew times before completely forgot about them though
Will order them now, appreciate it 🙂
👍
Gonna bring the house down with these 😎
My jbl charger 5 is not working the power button is not working it’s flashing and I tried resetting it but I don’t think I did it right
Factory Reset instructions are on page 11 of the Quick Start Guide PDF.

If a factory reset doesn't work, you should contact JBL for assistance, as their support site is complete trash only has this article about flashing lights.

Think I found the limit of them with the Edge of Tomorrow intro lol
Sucking nearly 600 watts
professional neighbor
My neighbor on one side is very hard of hearing, and the house is detached on the other, fortunately.
I wouldn’t dare drive so much power at home. At work, easily.
any recommendations for short (>= ~7.4" 188mm) desktop speakers?
my neighbours have to deal with 2 15 inch pa speakers and 3 subs
just a thin wall between us
