well the weakest is definitely my receiver, so that's probably where im going to go first
Would recommend getting an audio processor
What's wrong with it?
i'm pre strapped for cash rn, so would a getting an nt1 5th gen (using usb output), or getting a nt1 not 5th gen)/ai bundle (using xlr output) be better? don't have an audio interface rn so usb output will have to do otherwise
If you're strapped for cash you don't need to spend $250 on a mic.
An audio interface would be good for upgrading the future and has a lot of utility
But depending on what you're doing, there's good enough options for under $100 easy
general consensus on audio technica r70x? what are the pros and cons and should i pad swap?
like are they worth the price p much, and do they require more power than a budget audio interface can provide
what do you mean
fellas i require a basic audio interface i can slap down on my desk or below it, i recently got moondrop chu 2s and the cable is short as hell, too short to use comfortably with my pc and i need something to plug them into that's closer to me
plugging them into my monitor just makes them really quiet and destroys the audio quality so that's not an option
i don't know where to even start looking
how about an extension cable lol
still has the issue of being attached to my pc which i'm not comfortable with considering my previous experiences with headphone cables and pcs
(accidentally yanked my pc down onto my desk cause it got tangled up on my chair and when i turned around it choke slammed it into the desk)
and now that i have a glass side panel i wanna avoid that as much as i can
also it's just more comfortable
just get a longer cable
you can't possibly yank anything if your cable is long enough
its an iem, use the 50$ you will spend on the interface on new iems instead
I'm looking at buying quality bookshelf speakers on the second market to use with my PC on my desk. I will also be getting a pre-amp, and I already have an external USB soundcard with RCA out. I just have no idea where to begin for the speakers themselves. Second hand markets are full of listings, but I have no idea which are good (value) and which are not. I've only used cheap-ish Logitech so far. Anyone have any resources to get me started?
why are you getting a pre amp
Isn't that necessary when using bookshelf speakers?
I'm new to all of this
yes and no
depends on the speakers?
there are types of speakers, actives and passives, actives have amps in them
passives depend on amps however preamp is a part of the amp circuitry, generally you have integrated amps that are basically AIO, and then you have preamps that connect to receiver amps
there are lots of uses for preamps but for this context it would needlessly stress your budget, just buy an integrated amp if you want passives, given you don't find some amazing second hand pre amp deals
Let me rephrase then : I will also buy a preamp if necessary
what sort of budget do you have?
it's a shame that emotiva discontinued the airmotiv b1+ because it was an easy passive speaker recommendation
Well that's another thing, I'm not entirely sure. I'm thinking €250 for both (again, second hand), but I don't know if that's the price range where if you just go a little higher you can get something much better.
see if you can grab some jbl 305 speakers
okay thanks
actives so no need for an amp
ive had some logitech gpro x headphones for a long time, and always used the headphones mic for vc's with my friends on discord, it always worked fine, but at some point it just randomly stopped working completely, no sound at all, didnt work on other devices too, today i bought a replacement for it but it doesnt work either, did i just get unlucky and the replacement is broken, or maybe the mic is not the issue ???
Any deals on a 3.1 or better soundbar under $300 for a TV?
Reddit is all over the place with what r/soundbar recommends.
is the Samsung HW-Q60C available under $300 for you? im seeing $250
Yeah it is, $248 on amazon too
Time to upgrade from my optical port cheapo vizio
nice, that's probably your best option then
Good to know, I'll keep an eye on it. I'm just getting frustrated with mine so far as I'll have to unplug it for like 2 minutes sometimes from power and plug it back in. Vizio is no bueno
it's ok FWIW, but I'd take either the HD600 over it
Hello, I know next to nothing abt mics but I wanna studio in my garage for my band, our budget is probably abt 400 dollars, looking for some drum mics, mics for guitars, and a vocal mic
Do you have furniture in the garage
because the echoes inside of a room like that will be the death of the audio quality
dont like the clamp force on hd 6x0 series
you're supposed to stretch them out
yeah but still
you can put em on a box for a bit
it'll stretch out and improve comfort by a lott
Well you see,
Headphone staging is almost entirely dependant on how far the drivers are from ur head
if it's not an HD800 with the drivers right up against the earcup, it's not gonna be much better
wouldn't that mean then i'd have to get thicker pads to get better staging?
Pads change the frequency response quite dramatically
yeah
so theoretically yes, but it'd affect the headphone in other ways
usually in a bad way
i have to ask then
Yes
what makes the hd600 more appealing than the r70x then in your opinion
I’m planning on soundproofing it
Not soundproof, sound treat it. but to do it properly will cost thousands for a moderate sized room, even more for a large room
It’s a whole garage
which is my concern
And I don’t have that money lol
This
well damn
If you're getting an R70x I'd recommend at LEAST a basic amp of some sort
i mean i AM upgrading my audio solution and getting new headphones along with em
HD600 has a timbre that I like (or I'm familiar to at least), but given the planar discussions I don't think that's a valid point
If an amp like at least a Magni is in that upgrade then R70x will be pretty good
Yup, Magni + Modi
Komplete Audio 1 @haughty girder
yeah i got mine late 2021 and it's just starting to die on me
anyway get a new interface with a clean output (julian krause has some great reviews that also measure the outputs) and use the magni with that
honestly
Modi IMO is just a dongle in a fancy box
what would you suggest personally?
at any budget tbh
I've been out of the loop for a while now, so I'm not sure what's good
hmm
When I kept up with hardware, the Motu M2 was the most recommended interface for being all around pretty good
I'd imagine it's a similar story today
sounds about right
at home I use an AIr192|4 because of its top dial and I didn't want to pay for the SSL2
valid
so if i'm downsizing my setup then shouldn't i get an rca to 3.5mm jack adapter and get a type-c dongle
and just connect my magni to that?
or is that just stupid
rca isn't balanced
what is
You just won't get the benefits of using a balanced connection
RCA to balanced 1/4"
and if you decide to go Motu M2 you can just use the RCA on the interface itself
tho most 2in 2out interfaces just come with balanced 1/4" without the rca
does magni even support balanced?
i see no mention of it on the store page
unless you're talking about the motu
in which case i honestly couldn't care less abt balanced
You normally don't want to go from balanced to unbalanced after amplification
joining grounds on a higher power output can have issues in certain scenarios
but DACs and interface Line out are very low power
They are meant to have an amp after it
so it'll be fine
shouldn't be a problem if i'm not running a balanced cable though right
bleh
okay
do bear with me i am quite ill and tired
so if i say anything brainless it's either i'm dumb or my illness
nah dw about it
I'm a little busy rn so I'll get back to you when I have the chance actually
Sorry I don't do DMs, and this channel is generally not that active so it's fine
i mean this is the reason the channel exists
my ultralite mk5 always had issues with my mac if i stopped playing audio and then started playing audio again within about 3 to 6 seconds, but now it's starting to stutter in the middle of audio playback
filed a support ticket but i would like a second opinion too if y'all have any idea
is JBL LSR305 a different one?
I found a pair second hand for €150
oh but it's only pickup as it's almost 5kg per :(
is sm58/m track solo a good combo for a budget zoom audio setup?
literally just get a 720p webcam from logitech or something
if you're only using it for zoom
it'll have both a camera and mic that's will max out zoom's quality
mb i meant also for discord calls haha
I personally still use my webcam as my mic even for discord, but I guess wait for someone else to reply
i mean to be fair i just need a jack port away from my pc that i can just tape to the underside to my desk that doesn't look like garbage i highly doubt that'll cost me 50 bucks
one that doesn't obliterate audio quality
and half the ones i found either have no housing or are way too robust for what i need
I wouldn't bother
XM8500 + pop filter and a better interface
what interface would you recc then
depends on what you need
clean outputs? best inputs? something that just works?
if it's the last one, m track solo is a solid choice still then
and get a mic arm
i would love a clean output
any recs in that department?
anyone here use/used apple airpods pro, and had the plastic shell part hit their ear's antitragus and cause pain? (for reference, this is the antitragus)
do you need a good headphone jack too
or just need good main output
just main output
are you ok with going used
or do you prefer new
Motu M2 is my automatic recommendation as it does most things at least decently
but that's probably outside of your budget new
if it was used you may be able to get a good deal on it
the runner up would be the arturia minifuse 1/2, it's decent and does everything that the Scarlett solo/2i2 (3rd gen) does but better and cheaper
no
okay
why?
well i had airpods pro 2nd gen and i had that problem with prolonged usage; i assume it's due to my raised antitragus
i really want to use them though, every aspect of them other than the dull pain is great.
i was wondering if anyone shared my experience and if they got over it/it got better
Does anyone of you guys have the ElectroVoice RE-20 microphone?
i thought the drivers/software were kinda yucky
You recommend FiFine?
Last time I checked on the mic interface market it was the Scarlett series that has shit drivers
Those also
Anyone recommend a good pair of wired over-ear headphones between £100 and £150?
Akg k361/k371
JBL tune 710bt used in wired mode
Do they use a 2.5mm headphone jack?
No they didnt
Why 2.5mm specifically?
So I can use them with my laptop, tablet, etc
I thought they use 3.5mm jack no?
Oh yea, my bad. Its 3.5mm, I mixed them up
Then yes all of them use 3.5mm jack
How about the akg k702? I currently have the sennheiser hd 400s
An option for open back, although I heard that it's pretty bright
How much is the hd560s?
Pretty bright?
£179.99
The headphone is more emphasis on the treble region, and it doesn't have a lot of bass quantity
not as bright as beyer
I was wondering, is the steelseries arctis nova pro wireless better or the arctis pro wireless?
uhh thats the same headphone twice
steelseries arctis nova pro wireless
tough call tho
What subwoofer do you guys recommend for Audioengine A2+? (I'm currently looking at Edifier T5)
Maybe a rythmik f12 or a svs pb2000
Bruh thats the same headphone
I'm listening
Oh and my budget is around US200
Gah dayum
any preference on its size and color?
at te same time it's also the cheapest interface worth considering
its preamps and driver performance is far better than anything cheaper
ie umc22 and um2
which don't even have a proper asio driver
good point
Arctis nova pro wireless or arctis pro wireless
didnt notice i wrote nova twice
So i ment arctis nova pro wireless or arctis pro wireless
well its gonna be the nova pro wireless obviously
direct replacement of the arctis pro
but audeze maxwell might be more bang for your buck
Alr, well, its also for gaming, idk how well audeze maxwell perform for games
Lemme look into them tho
Nova
Non nova has an audible buzz
Oh, gtk ty
not as good as the nova pro
but still miles ahead of many headsets
Im more looking for a gaming headset, got airpods pro 2 for other stuff
yea the maxwell is a gaming headset
saying the nova pro is better in games is really spltting hair at this point
and like yes the nova pro is better, 1 i dont think you can notice the differences and 2 personally i dont think its worth the extra 70 usd for the nova pro
although the dac being a charging station is neat
buut do you really game long enough to find that useful tho
man the 2 sides of a coin
So basically both r almost equally as good almost, it comes down to the extra stuff
Logitech g935 but theyre breaking down
yea, going to either the maxwell or the nova pro would be a massive improvement
at the same time, your ear is not trained enough to make out the differences between the 2
i reckon
Ty for ur help btw 🙂
np
May i ask, just for gaming sound alone, is audeze still better in the audio?
w spatial audio and evrything
Nova pro is tuned terribly tho
from the perspective of me, i think the maxwell is better in "audio"
their sound profile, technical capabilities
but apparently their sound cue positioning and accuracy is not as good as the nova pro
Alright
again, we are splitting hair at this point
reviewer brain as they said
I mean. I like steelseries dac
its a gimmick for me excluding the charging station for the removable, replacable battery
Ik xD
It doesnt rlly do anything beside make things easier
Quality like its still bt the hs
Hmm
In this video DMS reviews the Steelseries Arctic nova pro! A lot of publications have called this the "best" gaming headset, but is it? Let's talk about it and find out!

Buy a headphone from a company that actually specializes in audio
i have the arctis nova pro wireless, i do not have any of the issues he described in that video, my headset had a random restart issue but that's because I haven't update the firmware, after a firmware update it's fixed. that being said a lot of steelseries mice and keyboards are outdated and overpriced, their customer support was terrible from my personal experience. but if you just want to play games, their headsets are great. mic tho very bad
utterly braindead windows user here, is there any way i can use linux to back up / export all of my songs from a mac-formatted ipod classic 7th gen?
like are there any distros that natively support the file system or if i need to get a certain software package
any recommendations for good bluetooth speakers? Budget around $100-200 and i'd like it to be durable.
best headset (including good mic) for under £100, asking for a friend
Ue or JBL are the two brands to consider .
Ue boom is solid
1more bluetooth speakers are surprisingly good for their size and price. They've come down massively in price, but you can pair 2 of them together for a stereo set of bluetooth speakers. Would recommend buying 2 at their current amazon price of 30 bucks a pop, they do a great job of filling a room, or putting them on either side of you for a closer, quality stereo setup. I've been rocking my set for nearly 4 years now with no issues.

There's a concept on speaker design called Hoffman's iron law. It basically says that the smaller the speaker, the less loud or the less bass it will have. And that speaker is TINY.
A speaker that small I would only recommend to someone who specifically needs a small speaker. Otherwise I don't see a reason not to spend more money and get something nicer. Especially when there's the budget to do so
Is there a quality diffrence between these 2 types of inputs? And why are there 2 types of inputs? (Image is just to show the 2 inputs)
No. They're different because the left one (RCA) is used for consumer audio and the right one (Dual mono TS) is used for professional audio gear.
But they should offer the same exact quality.
The dual mono TS might be a bit more durable and harder to yank out tho.
Well it's a result of wanting to use pro gear with consumer gear
Any recommendations for eq for the wh-1000xm5s?
I like more of a voice clarity and bass
I tried tinkering myself but it didn't really work out
Size doesn’t matter. Prefer in black. And somewhat available in Australia since I live there 😂
I didn't realize I was looking at LTT for a second and went what the fuck reading that message
this must be the most suggestive way of discussing subwoofers I have seen
Anyone know about the Moondrop Space Travel TWS?
Looks promising based on graphs, no idea how they actually sound
They look really impressive for the price, wonder what the compromises are aside from a lid..?
Prob sub par anc
Like anc to tick off the box, not good anc kinda thing
Profit margins and build probably.
Tws earbuds aren't actually that expensive
Thats fair
What’s the best wireless gaming headset for PC?
Audeze maxwell
Maxwell
need a good headset that has good sound quality max $300
maxwell
is it better than a wired one
yes
wired closed backs headsets in ur budget are tuned quite horribly
does it only have usb 3 dongle?
yes
u can get an adaptor if u need to
well he didn't say closed back
Aren't the Turtle Stealth pro better for gaming
bruh
is it good for games like fortnite and cod
yes
can u do openback?
leaks sound, no isolation but better imaging
and soundstage
not necessarily better imaging but yeah overall generally better
openback makes the sound leak out rigt?
yes
i dont mind either
What’s a Maxwell
audeze maxwell
do you know a lighter one?
is the 58x better?
if u have 300 usd, get r70x
i use my playstation mic atm
its for a birthday present
my aunt asked me what i wanted
then she said dont make it too expensive
but idk what her definition of too expensive is
i think the budget may be
$200
then hd560s
whats the weight
240g
alr
think ill get this
and i juist found out that the aunt i am asking the gift from just bought a 15 pro💀
for u? nice
could have sold it for better audio
personally for music, I prefer 6xx
because 6xx is tonally better
but hd560s has larger soundstage, which I dont really care about
not worth it for 300$ tbh
you can get it second hand for like around 170$ though
which is worth imo
dw I dont even like r70x
I like it but 300$ is too much for what it does
can anyone recommend me some good speakers for around 130 - 180 usd?
Check out options from edifier
What is the round plastic thing on my RCA cable?
is this just to prevent from the 2 cables from being separated too much?
Okay, my boom arm just snapped, saw the NZXT one. Does anyone recommend it?
yep
no
show picture of your original arm
and what mic do you have
and what's your budget
and what's the setup
i have an sm7b
what arm did you have?
where did it snap and do you know why
actually nvm it looks like a blue compass knockoff
and I hate the compass
If you have the budget, get a PSA1 or PSA1+
much better built than the Blue compass, which is what the WA arm seems to be based on
do you have one
I don't, I've used many tho
What’s the best mic boom arm
did they ever fix the spring weight issue on those
They fixed it with the psa1+
Can someone explain 8d audio and why some people love it? I tend to hate it because the music circles around the listener which doesn't give a consistent listening experience for both ears.
Idk. I guess some people think it sounds cool.
Yes with the PSA1+, but this is why I asked what mic he has. SM7b is heavy enough that the PSA1 spring won't be an issue
Does anyone know how to remove reverb/echo from a headset microphone? It was working fine for months but then I started to have some people saying I echo a bit.
@haughty girder we talked before abt me getting a new amp for r70x, but wouldn't a motu m2 be more than enough to drive R70X without an external amp?
r70x scales weird
its the only headphone I owned that has had this much of a change in sound pairing with different amplifiers
its super sensitive so loudness should never be an issue though
ig the question then is if it's listenable with the motu m2 then
It should be fine
Most headphones can be driven by even an apple dongle, just like dt880 (250/600Ω), hd6x0 and k612, all of which have amps highly recommended but aren't actually necessary
yeah
yes Motu m2 will drive the headphones
i'm just wondering if it'll sound fine with just the m2
will it sound its best? Honestly I don't know I haven't tried that combo either
but it'll drive it for sure
guess i'll be the first to find out then
What's the name of the audio company that makes black with green accent bookshelf speakers?
no it's not
Mackie?
YES, tnx
Trying to find their Loudspeakers but I only recognize the logo, then remembered the logo is on those bookshelf speakers too
Do market have any bass-heavy topranking headphones?
hd800s?
But it’s too expensive. Is there any cheaper one with similar quality? close hd800s?
anyone know it?>
Don't think the HD800s are bass heavy headphones...
Maybe take a look at planars they should fit your bill
But tbh, I'm not sure.
there's a dude named phil who makes custom made biodynamic headphones, ive heard a lot of people i trust refer to them as the best headphone for bassheads
called the "philphones"
other than that zmf might have what you want
If you want open backs yes
if you want closed then fostex th x00
or semi open then emu teak
Why would you want closed
Hi All, thinking of getting this mic just for discord and podcast style recording things, can anyone reccomend an affordable USB audio interface available in Australia for it?
It’s an XLR mic
affordable? behringer
3x the price of the mic? a focusrite or something
Haha ok I’ll look into focus right
Wait I think I miss read that lol
it appears i won't be able to get anything that isnt cheap or chinese fir under 100 bucks
i might aswell get an elato one for the software
Thoughts on the M-Audio M-Track Solo 🤔 (couldn't find the Behringer)
found my old Shure SM58 and I don't wanna use a yee yee XLR to 3.5mm cable
best you can get for that price
Yes basically. You're looking at 100-200 for good used or cheaper new.
Get se v7 and minifuse 1
Modhouse argons are pretty damn good if you enjoy bass
Philphone
your best bet for that is to find headphones that are comfortable for you and that will handle an EQ bass boost
very few headphones (that arent bad) have a bass shelf out of the box
hello. would a led strip power cabel enough for old car subwofer and 4 spekers?
i have these laying around for many years now. recently wanted to buy some speakers for my pc and had an idea to make them myself lol
What's gonna happen is the power supply for the LED strip is gonna assume that your speakers are LEDs. So they're gonna apply a relatively high voltage output signal to the extremely low impedance of your speaker array. So one of two things is gonna happen:
- Your LED power supply is gonna catch fire or go into auto shutoff because it's delivering way too much current
- Your speakers are gonna make a pop sound and then if the LED driver is still on, the thin wires inside of the speaker are gonna start to get real hot and then eventually catch fire.
philphone
@lean grove is there a safe way to do this?
By using an audio amplifier, preferably one with multiple channels. A car stereo for example. And a beefier power supply. That thing is rated for 12 volts 2 amps. Which is at best gonna get you 24 watts. Which will be enough for you to play music at low volume.
Also by wiring all your speakers in parallel you're dropping the impedance to super low.
You want to do a combination of series and parallel, preferably series. But if you do the math, having a combination of series and parallel, and get the overall impedance to around 4-8 ohms that's fine too.
okay thx for the info. ill do some more reserch and hopefuly not burn my house down lol
There's a lot of tutorials on how to use a car stereo for home speakers on YouTube.
@lean grove i could just do 3 speakers. i would be fine with that. i would solder 3.5mm to radio signal. then 2x rear speakers and one bass. but these speakers need seperate 12v how could i deal with that?
Oh weird. I've never seen a speaker that needs a separate 12 volt
I guess use the power supply
That's what it's probably meant to do, use the cars 12 volt battery supply
I'm not super familiar with car audio
#cars might be able to help better
they come from audi a4 b6 2002 they got good car audio a stoc one
¯_(ツ)_/¯

yeah anyway ill figure something out thx 😉
$150/pair passives with no holes in the frequency response and relaxed treble is nice
you could probably just plug the ports and throw a negative highshelf filter on the cheaper neumi bs5s though
any good wireless headphone recommendations? dont need mic since i got a standalone
Audeze Maxwell is the best right now.
Quick question. What’s corsairs best wireless headset? Morons messed up my order and are giving me a keyboard and headset choice to add.
sorry for late reply, a very bad output- its only a cheap one off of ebay, and it has no hdmi inputs
and the reason i want a better one for surround is i have a lot of films on my media server that support dolby surround and i would like to use it a lot
Ah. Yeah then definitely get a better receiver. Something from Sony, Yamaha, or Denon would be my recommendation. Sony has some cool room calibration tech in some of their newer stuff, and Denon generally has nicer amplifiers. But I'm not too familiar with specific models.
In the future you can get better speakers and turn your current speakers into rear or surround speakers so that's a clear upgrade path
I'm aiming for a used Cambridge audio one of these days
yeah, i have good past experiance with sony and their sound calabration, i used to have one of their sound bars until i gave it to my nan earlier this year
Which one do you have your eye on
There's an azur 640r for 600$ cad that looks nice
And there's 2 Cambridge audio S70 for 200$ cad
There's also 2 focal chorus 707 for 310$ cad
There's an azur 540r for 250$ cad
That's about what is interesting in my local used market
I already have a topaz sr10 that I really like, but I would like to go 5.1 at some point
The sr10 would go on my pc
I'm looking to get a new microphone and for some reason I keep buying Blue microphones. For me they have bad sound quality and pick up every darned noise there is. They're just SO sensitive to noise, even their most expensive options. I've been trying to cut out Logitech because of faulty hardware and software, I don't understand how they do it. But that's a different story. Could someone list a few good microphones that won't break the bank, have good sound quality and reduce background noise by a good amount? Thank you.
what do you consider breaking the bank, and do you have a preferred form factor? are you against the idea of mounting a mic arm to your desk?
I would recommend the cheapest you go be somewhere in the 150-200 range across a XLR mic and interface. Spend that and you will not be wanting for more unless you decide to start doing professional recordings
i just bought razer black shark v2 x headset and the mic isnt found does anyone know how to fix it
on my hyper x cloud stinger II it shows the bass boost option unlike on my Astro a50, any way to help fix?
i think its just the headset telling windows which sound effect it wants to enable
so no fix
Loudness equalization and Bass boost
just use an equalizer bro
and not meme tier windows filters
i play fortnite comp and i just switched my headset
i found a fix
apparently it has a game channel and a voice channel
it hass bass boost option for the game channel
so i made my default windows audio the voice on and my voice chat one the voice one as wlel but ingame is the game one
it works rlly well
bass is way lower than my older one though
This hurts to read on so many levels.
bcs?
which one shld i use?
equalizer apo
with peace gui if you have a lower attention span
watch a tutorial in either case
i jus wanna know how i could get my bass higher to better hear footsteps gunshots etc
how so?
in game the gunshots are all supper bass heavy
because of reasons I provided you
nono i dont need details i just want to be able to hear a gunshot from like 400m away
bass will overpower details on bad oems and cause muddiness
thats what my old headset did
details carry the information of what something does
so i have a question
yes
how is it when i have higher bass i can hear footsteps way easier then on normal
you don't you just have placebo
literally every competitive eq lowers bass for the sake of hearing better
if you think you know better than everyone else then I advise you nurture your wisdom on your own
i dont know im just basing it off the differences ive noticed
it quites down stuff like emotes reload and pickaxe swings
but makes the gunshots and footsteps louder
pickaxe swings?
yup
which game is this
fortnite
chief honestly
I actively does the opposite of what you want. Same with loudness equilization which actively hurts pinpointing enemies.
good hearing is the last thing you really need for fortnite
its an arcade shooter with super high pace
Also that yea
naw trust me when u can pickup on enemies far away its rlly good
in boxfights etc its not that useful
but i w-key
any headphone with treble that isn't a roller coaster will do the same as the other headphone
so its v useful for my playstyle
Yea just that you can poorly with that setup.
Yours is like L shape.
hes got you there
V shape is like more Bass and more highs, your setup is extreme Bass nothing else.
Its not v shape its L shape.
i meant its very useful
when did i say anyth abt a vshape
Its like playing paintball with earplugs.
i shortened very to v
It isn't
Bass there nothing else.
V shape is like more Bass and more highs
yes
Yea you have only bass.
one of which you have
i can still hear the highnotes cleary its j that the bass overpowers it
since the bass is usually the only important things
yes that is a bad thing lmao
that is the complete opposite case
sound information is almost exclusively in higher frequencies
when only builds emotes and pickaxes are highnotes
yeah ion need info i just needa know where they is so i can hunt em down
look ill link u a vid

Comment: Fart If You See This!
Welcome to my channel! In this exciting video, we'll be diving into the world of Fortnite and uncovering Mongraal's secret settings to achieve mind-blowing bass boosted audio! If you've ever wondered how top players like...
increase highs and you suddenly hear better too
wow wtf
its almost like raising volume in general helps you
i have volume on max at all times anyways
you are going to damage your hearing so don't do that
as long as it gets me the dub
what are your headphones
astro a50
well maybe not at max
cause at max its like a speaker from across the room
why do gaming headphones always have like rlly high bass tho
ah i see
which is a side effect of overdampening your drivers
so high treble helps u hear more than bass?
yes
it also tires out your ears a lot more
but hey if you want to min max on audio that's how you do it
based on clips you sent high mids is probably the region you'd want to emphasize the most
fortnite alredy has visualised audio
visualized audio?
the thing is when u reach a certain point that visiualised audio goes away

look in the middle
God this is so crap
and also crouching makes you not see the footsteps
imaging is related to headphone drivers anyways
Wallhack hearing is either a perfect fitting hrtf for you (virtual surround) paired with an open back pair of headphones - also with little Bass.
Or just open backs.
you can't eq group delay
are my headphones open back?
no
Open back are These where everyone around you hears everything
open backs are headphones where the backs are
literally open
you would know what an open back is if you owned it
Funfact the a50 are absolute garbage for gaming in my experience. They are also closed back btw.
The A40 are decent tho, and also open back.
how is maxwell's imaging btw if you know about that
they arent the best but they get the job done
The a50 have a great thing where if theres any Bass everything else is gone, its less a driver thing but more of an compression thing cause weird done wireless.
I literally took 20mins of troubleshooting to realize they are just crap
Packed them back up and off they were.
at the end of the day your headphones wont help w your mechanica and aim
for a person who says this
Play without Sound and say that again.
you have spent an awful amount of time justifying windows bass boost
that is true
my headphones die alot
so i usually do
probably because you use wireless ones
dosent change much hnstly
yup
Yea wireless is just not really helpful for gaming xD
but yet again bad headphones still have sound
as long as you can hear whats happening around u ur chill
To be fair the a50 are at least good in terms of latency, its around 10-15ms, but everything else is garbage.
Thats the good thing. You cant.
i have hyper x cloud stingers
absolutely trash for everything
but they got the job done and helped me get to semi pro and get my first earnings
But, you will only realize that once you had an actual decent pair of headphones for that.
not really
Even something like the dt990 which Sound i dislike are a giant heck lot better
These actually provide Sound to you you can work with.
rather than spending time concerning yourself with competitive eq, you could just get good headphones with good imaging
Then get actual good ones and you will be impressed
And also sucked down into the sinkhole of Audio lol
You clearly dont if you are able to use a50s for more than like 1min.
listening to music though its a big big difference
they last like 7 hours but i play alot so they die often
The best thing is, the a50 were my first actual headphones for PC.
what are good headphones then?
And i hate them the second i put them on.
dosent need a mic
Forced me to use them like 3 days then returned them.
u cant lie though, they are comfy and when you get into the flow state headset dosent matter at alll
whenevr i get into my flow state i literally cant hear anything and i rely on muscle memory and i hit headshots every single shot basically
I am only into iems.
For over ears the best i had were dt990 pros.
But that said, they are still not that good. Surely others can get better options.
But compared to anything you named, they would kill them.
I hated them.
i know headset wise its nothing
Whats the cost of a50s again? xD
i could get a g pro wireless
hand me downs from my uncle
Also 170 for dt990 is a ripoff, def dont get them for that money. Get something else and also in general i wouldnt recommend them directly...
Just because i personally dont like them that much, but that again comes down to them being over ears.
i love over ears
In general
yeah fs in general in ear is much better
in gaming though since its such a larger market over ears are better for me
and its just what im used to
I loved the Soundstage, was more like Sound around you rather than on your ear, but my waaaay too expensive iems can even give me that to a degree im fine with.
So yea i dont miss anything xD
i havent had any complaints with my regular airpods honestly
I want apt x ll or HD tws buds and i might actually get some.
But its just not a thing.
Everything is just sbc and aac. Both being terrible imo...
Sony has their Standard but i dont care xD
Anyways, will Stick to a cable.
For as long as there is no no-compromise wireless.
Battery isnt really an issue to me
thats logitech g305 mouse
Have to change my iems every 5-8hrs anyways cause my ear shape is horrible.
thats more than my hours on like minecraft
and i grinded thta mf for all of 2020-2021
Daym i have like 10x that in mc.
yeah fs
on all those combined most prolly i got the same
im talking on my old laptop which i had for a year
Its just scary how many Servers i spend a lot of time on i can remember...
At least 6 public modpack ones, 10-12 Private modded ones, 5+ vanilla, then only minegame Servers.
Pvp is boring. I always was the technician
why is open ear better
The one on a AE2 included modpack who has had everything and autocrafting for every thing imagionable. Typically overly complex, waaay too thaught put etc
when i could hear my surroundings more
Closed back sounds like the speaker is next to your ear, cause it is.
like usually i dont want to hear my mom divorcing my dad
while im tryna get that victory royale
Open back is like, somewhere around you, how far is the factor that differs when you talk about soundstage
King Tier is off ear like the valve index vr Headset has, where the Sound literally is not locatable to a speaker, but you hear everything around you.
Thats not it
pigeons when u feed them bread
its only on like 1 song tho
my eyes
travis scott
other songs dont have that feeling
it feels amazing tho\
Its not about you hear stuff around you, its like the Sound difference of like going from headphones to a surround Sound setup, its hard to explain.
You dont hear the Sound coming out of a speaker directly next to your head but more like Sound just is around you ideally.
If you know what i mean.
yeah i feel u
i got that too
i felt like i was in a cinema
didnt feel like i had earbuds on
felt like immersive
Its like the difference of putting a Video on a phone and Holding it on your ear or to hold it like a Meter away.
I was thinking "wtf server I am in" after googling about dawncraft
cant i just replicate that by twisting the back of my earcups
this is a simulation confirmed
Dawncraft?
look up minecraft modpack thing on google, the ltt audio chat starts talking about minecraft modpacks
literally a simulation made to contain me
Lol
no shot
none of you are real
im real i promis
Im fake
modpack I was excited about but disappointed with
Im a virtual cat in an anime
Lol
ew anime
Get atm9
Ew fortnite
idk how i forced myself to watch 2 episodes of anime 3 years ago
its fun asl
as long as im playing w friends anything is fun
I like playing good modpacks
not garbage randomly thrown together
literally 99% of the mods in that pack are invalid
Its like sain "idk how i forced myself watching a Action series" not describing at all.
Ah its better than that
atm6 was random garbage
But like, big.
atm7 was random garbage
all the prior atm mods were random garbage
I think I have a very good reason not to put my faith in the atm name after that many shitty modpacks
look guys we put 800 mods in this pack!!
I liked stoneblock
Tho Chickens are extremely op.
More so than mystical agriculture.
Plus the lava gen was broken.
mystical agriculture is often broken
mojang making lava practically infinite with dripstones was also an epic move
watch me fuck all the future modpacks because we wanted to add dripstones
it was like naruto i think and Girlish Number
truly a mojang moment
dunno if i got the name of the second one right
I can see why someone would hate naruto
I don't know the latter but the name isn't very promising
In stoneblock: cobble gen Block thing + crucible + super hearing Element -> lava -> magmatic gen.
Put a maximum compact machine full of it and you got like - idk. 50-100krf/t
Guess 600rf/t per machine.
last season i think i had like 530 hours
i was crazy tho
i havent played that server in like what
6 months
im top like 100 in africa
I'm a bit of an Audio noob so this may be cringe.
But basically, my new PC case has a combined headphone/microphone jack, and I dont like it. I find it rather inconvenient the way "what thing did you just plug in?" Works with a combined jack.
- Can I just tell windows what I want every time so I dont need to turn off focus assist and click through that menu twice every time I plug in?
- Would buying a USB to dual 3.5mm be a good idea, split the ports that way.
OR - because I do a little recording and am somewhat self conscious of how I sound, would looking into an entry level DAC be a good idea?
Additional info: I use both headphones and speakers, and my brother has his headphones, so devices do get plugged in and out a bunch.
My headset is a Black shark V2, the line which Razer made the genius decision to make the splitter half the cable, leaving you with a tiny cable when using the 3 poll plug
is that menu comes from realtek audio console?
@unique wind i just bought tangzu wan'er
it begins
Yes
oh easy fix then
set the connector to the one you wanted
then forget about it
Ah, that's cool, thanks
i bought it cuz my apple earbuds suk
I appear to have this whack MSI version of the audio console and its missing a few features, should I uninstall it and try to get the original?
you mean the popup that i mentioned?
basically, this is the popup
you suggested going into the audio console to set a default device so I don't get the popup (unless I misunderstood you)
but, we appear to have different versions of realtek audio console, mine with MSI gaming branding and less featues, yours with stripped down aesthtetic but more featuers
have you check the gear icon next to analog
yes, gear gives me this
how about the speaker icon, anything there?
yep thats the one
cant find something to set a defuelt, but I feel like it'll go off what I told it in the past, or maybe be smart enough too figure it out.
cool
is the audio technica r70x, presonus pd70, maudio mtrack solo good
M-track solo is okay.
R70x only makes sense if you can't get a 6xx/600/650 from Sennheiser.
The presonus mic you can probably get an xm8500 or a Shure sm58
6XX is 120$ more, 600 is 150$ more and 650 is 150$ more (aud) r70x is 350
xm8500 is 45$ sm58 is 89$ pd70 is 170$
Would definitely get the sm58 over the pd70
whats the difference between sm58 and sm58-cn
Idk
Weird
its a completely different mic
its wrong
it sent me to the shure pga48
so xm85000 is 40$ and the sm58 is 199
I would skimp out on the mic and use the saved money for the 6xx
mics tend to have a high markup here in NZ and also in AU, can usually get the SM58 or E 845 from amazon US for $10-30 cheaper depending on exchange rate at the time and if you qualify for free shipping
How is the SM58 199?
Isn't it it's $119?
(or else I got a deal of a lifetime on my SM58 for $99 or it's an smh58)
Aud
Oh…
any good amp mics for under 100-200 or so
and do i need to spend a LOT on an xlr cable? isnt that why there are 3 pins + ground?
yo i got 400usd budget for headphones can any one give some suggestions?
main purpose will be gaming ig
do you want a multimedia solution
or do you just want to maximize gaming performance
and rest is not really important
already bought a pair some one reccomended me
what did they recommend you
i got the hifiman sundaras
they have practically zero imaging
you can tell where a sound is coming from only to your direct left and direct right
everything in between is difficult as fuck to deduce
front right? back left? forward?
good luck trying to tell which is which
I am using the sundaras right now
i'll go for them
they are decent with eq
but you can get edition xs b stock for like 300$
which is leagues ahead
while xs is a very good headphone in my opinion and most others, better at sundara for gaming too, it isn't a really good headphone for gaming either
mainly gaming i ain't finnalie
finallie?
r70x is the best imaging headphone sub 400$ I am aware of
day and light levels of difference between sundaras
link?
audio technicha r70x man
you don't really need an amplifier for gaming performance but moreso for music
if you don't care about sound quality amp shouldn't really matter
just save yourself 100$
to me its a big difference, I don't know what it is to you
if it's a small difference ig
well if you want to try, zen air dac is alright
thats what the other guy reccomended
yes him
out of that entire list
3 of those headphones are options worth ever considering
r70x, k712, hd560s
and even then the k712 is super controversial
i never buy second hand
you must really hate your wallet
that is what zen air dac is
and what I said for that goes for this
also every single thing written on that list is meaningless
what
also if u are getting a zen air dac, u will need to get a zen air can as well
cuz u there isnt a 3.5mm/4.4 or 6.25 output on a zen air dac
but I wont recommend it cuz its crap
whats the zen air can bludren
its the amp
wont work on its own
but the zen air can will
u need both
it's bad though?
yep
cheap zen stuff is bad
fr?
its noisy as hell
unwanted noise into ur headphone
even if no sound is playing
just get this
it will sound better than a zen
cleaner too
or if u are not satisfied, get a magni+ and modi+
what no
costs 238 usd without shipping or tax
oh ye it will but its still crap
I tried it
apple dongle >
hd600
