these were the top of the line competition unit until the much smaller (and more limited) epx2 and ODR processors were released

there is some keepawake program or something that sends some inaudible signal through the device to keep it awake or something
also never saw that issue again after switching to a JDS atom DAC

ive had issues with them forcing 32 bit and having to download drivers to run 24 bit in the playback settings
tried to play rdr2 and had no audio or it was broken
by default it will only show the 32 bit settings

the only two "bad" dacs ive used were a cheap USB plug with 3.5mm to mic and headphones and then an ODAC that was part of an o2+odac mayflower
the odac was so shit that if windows volume went above 50% it would have audible distortion

could have been some other issue with the combination of the odac and o2 where it would have too high input on the o2 and clip but whatever dont use it anymore broke years ago
