what is a good below 100 euro microphone thats also good quality which i can use for multiplayer gaming?

Looking for some computer speaker recommendations. Can easily spend $200.
I have a Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 and some headphones. Don't know if I should get any other equiptment for audio set up.
AMP/DAC something?
If you have the scarlet you can easily hook up some JBL lsr305s or Kali lp6v2's
Thank you for the reply.
Ill look intot hem, Iv always known I wanted a amp/dac stack but I got this scarlet for free.
I didn't know if it was just an interface or what
If I still needed amp/dac
interface yes
you don't really need one but you might benefit from one
I don't think you should be concerned about dacs at the moment
scarlett will suffice
you can get an aio unit like zen air dac for around 100$ if you'd lkke
i wouldn't be too concerned with upgrading your chain until you have a better headphone though
What about if I had a pair of hifiman Sundara?
what's up im looking for headphones recommendations
I've been using hyperX cloud 2's for years now, and the audio quality and mic quality are great - but they give me a headache after prolonged wearing
I'm looking for something similar in audio quality, but much more comfortable for long periods of time
check out the dt880
this looks interesting, how comfortable are they?
compared to hyperX headsets
hmm is there something like it with a mic?
kinda?
not really?
theres the mmx300 which isnt gonna be as good sounding as the dt880
what headset has the lowest clamping force while still being able to clamp?
a reddit post is saying the dt880's are kinda underwhelming
well if a redditor said it, it must be true
what is like
the best, most comfortable headset
like the lebron or MJ or ronaldo or something of headsets
in terms of quality while also having a mic
well once you start paying lebron money you stop needing the mic
and instead you get an external one
maybe
maybe
the audeze lcd-gx
ok so at the threshold of not having a mic, where can I get one with a mic for $160 and super comfortable
with good audio quality
is there something that's $160 or so and the most comfortable for that price?
idk man
ok who is the guru of hardware here lmao
the thing is anyone who likes headphones doesnt really focus on headsets cuz they're all pretty bad.
there's a few that are good but they're not gonna be as comfy as you probably want.
pc37x, pc38x, and audeze maxwell are the only headsets that anyone who cares about audio is gonna recommend.
but pc37x and 38x are gonna clamp kinda hard, and the maxwell is expensive and weighs a lot
anyone worth listening to is gonna tell you exactly what i've told you
in terms of audio, im fine as long as the audio quality is hyperX quality
I'm ultra prioritizing comfort
something light weight, well fitting, low clamp force
Ok imagine a sphere head that gets headaches from the high clamp force HyperX cloud 2's
what is low clamp force, high comfort
headphones I know to be lightest and having no clamp at all were called uncomfortable by people before
its really up to the person wearing them
what's the consensus pick
the chick fil A of headphones where 95% of people like it
if you really want to know go to an audio store and try them out
in terms of comfort
headsets right
no idea i don't give a shit about headsets
what's the difference?
headset is a set of headphones + microphone
pc38x is a decent headset
but i am unsure where to place it in comfort spectrum
better audio quality than almost every other headphone i know of though
right ok so that's what Im looking for
except audeze maxwell i am unsure, ive not listened to that
something with audio + mic quality like hyperx, but much more comfortable
pc38x is much higher in quality than hyperx but I can't say anything for sure about the comfort
why don't you just buy it and see for yourself
return it if its uncomfortable
bc I gotta order on amazon
wait the 2 days or whatever
then send it back if I don't like it
the nearest best buy or whatever is an hour and a half away
people on youtube/reddit saying the pc38x has a lot of clamp
2 days is what draws the line?
considering if I don't like it, I've got to package it, drive to the postal place 30 minutes away, send it. yea
that's a 2 hour operation right there
compared to just doing the proper research
drive?
yea? if I want to return it
couriers pick stuff up from your front door
look idk what irrelevant discussion we're having rn
who is like the linus of headsets on this server
someone that just knows specs and customer reviews on all of them
or who on youtube would know
anyone who knows a single thing about audio doesn't give a shit about headsets
because its mutually agreed to be a trash market by all
ok i'm not an audiophile or some shit
yes
I'm a normal ass dude wanting average sound and some comfort
like I said I was happy with the HyperX's sound and mic quality
dude im not asking for that
hmmm yes the conx
im asking which youtuber or person here is like a pro at reviewing headsets
40% calcium....
you have this false impression that low clamp means comfortable
no. I have the impression that clamp force is one of the main determinants of comfort, considering the hyperX headsets cause me headaches by clamping on my head with high force
key phrase: one of the main determinants
instead of clamp force you should be focusing on earpad sizes
that's why I'm just asking for something comfortable, including low clamp force
fair
that's why I'm saying comfortable
what is the most comfortable headset for 150 or so dollars
that is based on how the clamp force is distributed on your head
which again
is based on your head
which I literally cannot comment on
consider mmx300 nils recommended
beyer stuff is generally comfortable
and it has the average beyer headband and pads
should be relatively comfortable
what's up im looking for headset recommendations
I've been using hyperX cloud 2's for years now, and the audio quality and mic quality are great - but they give me a headache after prolonged wearing
something light weight, well fitting, low clamp force
whats up give me your cranial measurements
no, that's why I came here
how are these pc38x?
everyone seems to recommend that as far as headsets go
is there something more comfortable than that"?
¯_(ツ)_/¯
sennheisers usually clamp pretty hard
the only thing that they make that doesnt clamp is the hd800
damn
so what's the best headset in terms of comfort
something I could wear for like 4 hrs or so at a time and not every feel it / have a headache
even with the high clamping?
have you worn Cloud 2's for hours before?
if so what did you think of them?
i think i wore the cloud 2's for about 10 seconds before i didnt wanna wear them ever again
not a fan of the sound
the sound of it is fine to me, so I guess im ok then with average sound
so im mostly prioritizing comfort then
in that case, I just need a really comfortable headset
i wish you the best of luck in your endeavors
Porta pro communication

edifier 1700 or Klipsch R-15PM
which one of them works well with a 10/12 inch sub?
hi,
my windows' volum mixer is auto changing volums of my applications,
is there anyway to stop it?
is there any good iems that can be worn straight down
It doesn't do that. What applications and what changes and when.
The best backup I've ever made
If you use APO though
why does safe mode affect output sample?
What are some cheaper alternatives to the xm4/5
Any application that i have muted or put volume to zero suddenly gets unmuted or volume increased
razer hammerhead true wireless x is it any good?
it is very bad
Are there any decent like sub 15cm tall desktop speakers thats okay? preferably 2.0
small desk and not that high requirements when it comes to speakers since i just use headphones when i want good sound anyways
Creative pebbles are the only ones I can think of.
Vanatoos are much better but they're 19cm
They're triangular so you might be able to fit them if they're in front of your monitor a bit.
The pebbles are the ones i currently use, they are okay enough but it's still a bit jarring for the ears at times, works okay enough for any youtube etc. watching tho
ill have a look on the Vanatoos though, i can technically just raise my monitors up a bit, just would prefer not to have the monitors too far up either
i just have a lot of tech on my desk and not that much space xD
what if u put em on the side?
Then you're gonna be getting really bad desk reflections and horizontal dispersion.
Basically the worst possible way to use a speaker
I’m in need of some help I’m trying to use my headset via this Splitter I got but it’s loose inside of the port
AND
It’s making a very loud static sound which isn’t ideal for people trying to listen to me
probably related to the fact it isn't inserted properly
are you sure the jack is inserted all the way
Yep
try inserting a different 3.5 into the socket
My headset has 3 of those plastic rings on the jack where as the splitter only has 2
determine whether its the socket or jack that is causing the issues
if its the latter just get a new splitter
if its the prior a cx dongle will do
Yeah I think it’s the splitter since I’ve tried it in my mother board and the top ports on my case
Do I need a specific diff one since this one has seemed wobbly when inserted?
if these are 3.5 jacks then it's a manufacturing error
Probably
they could also be 2.5 though
Any SchiitHeads here
Anyone got recommendations for audio interfaces for at2020? Around 100-150 dollars
No, all sources sound the same and we all pray to the apple dongle every night
Arent I right @molten lotus
so true
🙏
Ong
Random question, but any recommendations for a wireless gaming headset for pc? Probably around £100 - £200 budget. Thanks! 🙂
Do you want it to sound good or no
Preferably yeah
How damn long does it take for fiio to send their damn fiio ft3 to the local company I ordered from
So they can send it to me
Im more than happy to get one of the amazon 'used like new' as well
I have a pair of Corsair Void Elite headphones currently and I'm okay with the sound of them but feel as tho ot could be better. They have very much been through hell tho with multiple moves 😂
How the heck does a headphone have this much midbass but so little sub bass
I could see the earpads causing a bit of that mid bass, but there has to be some leaks that cause this. Maybe the driver is so small that the resonance frequency is around 200Hz with steep rolloff?
This graph is of the corsair void elite
you already have at2020?
They claim 50mm, how is there this much roloff
Maybe it's the lack of space behind the driver
if so, just get an arturia minifuse 1 or the Volt 176
Oh there is almost no space behind the driver
You could probably mod them into sounding good
No, but planning on getting it
I'd avoid it tbh
Why? And any other recommendations?
maybe this driver is so small
This is what causes the same problem in the koss portapro, significantly raised midbass and steep rolloff
Does anyone know if Soundcore or other companies sell earhooks for the Soundcore Liberty 4 NC earbuds?
Idk if its just my ears or the headphones, but I cant keep them and most other earbuds in my ears when moving around. And I also fear loosing them, so having that extra security would be nice
I ordered and tried these:
https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B0823VZ675?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details
But they just add weight to the earbuds which I don't think helps with the earbuds staying in my ears
And the fact that the housing is so small
razer blackshark v2 x hyperclear vs razer blackshark v2 pro?
Fuck is a hyperclear
wtf is hyperclear
Saw it in some title and just copy pasted it, never would have thought it's not included with the name. My bad for any confusion
maybe give us a budget
copy pasting random headphones and asking x vs y is not going to get anywhere
$100
cloud 2
wired is better than wireless right?
yes
if you don't need a mic akg k361 is the best choice here
if you do pc37x is a great choice given you can find it for 100$
better than the cloud 2
Can it connect to the Wii though?
they are wired so
right
k361 has a bt variant but you want to avoid that
What about the cloud 3? tad bit more than the cloud 2
there aren't any measurements of it from viable sources out there
its too new
people who ive spoken to said that cloud 3 is worse than the cloud 2 though
The mic sounds better than the cloud 2
Gonna get the cloud 3
fuck I hate making choices
HyperX Cloud II features a newly designed USB sound card audio control box that amplifies audio and voice for an optimal Hi Fi gaming experience, so you can hear what you’ve been missing. is this the kingston version or is this the HP one?
i don't know mate
They say the HP versions are worse than the kingston ones
Yes
New
The question is do you notice/care
Is it still worth getting though?
So I have a three display monitor setup that basically takes up my whole stadning desk. Im trying to get speaker monitors and Im trying to figure where to put them. Should they be above the display like angled down or should I like try and raise the displays?
Would it be weird to ahve them above me angled down?
i mean. it wont be the worst place to put them.
you might want to play around with palcement before comitting
stack them on top of books, or get whatever you can find (some friends?) and see where they sound best
What do you recommend then?
Audeze maxwell volume on linux is super low
Probably angled down is your best bet
I’m lookin into getting some iems that are quality but kinda cheap, any good suggestions?
Hey I’m starting a new job soon (I’ll be synchronising stuff) and I need a good audio setup at now I have to decide what mic to get I want to have a Large Diaphragm mic and I can’t decide if I should get the se x1 or the neat king bee 2 tja is in advance :)
anyone have any recommendations for a ~$30 usb mic that just sounds good for yt/content creation? willing to do eq and stuff ofc since the budget is so low
fifine 669 or 683
is there any kind of converter i can get to run a car amplifier indoors because i know most have a battery and ground input at 12v dc
12 volt power supply. Just need something beefy cuz car batteries can deliver a shit ton of current that would melt normal electronics.
Idk ask Google.
Wdym. I just did a Google and I see tons of 12v 500 watt power supplies.
In theory
12 volts 500 watts should be 12 volt 500 watts
i was just looking at buying a new subwoofer for cheap and the cheapest ones are used car audio stuff
most have amps built in though
i dont really know what kind of amplifier id have to buy for one without one built in
i do have a old 8 inch subwoofer in its box i wonder if i can replace it with a better one
without replacing the box
Que
solid price for either
yeah but who wants a ft3 besides grey
i could resell them for more
it’s just sundara tuning but worse
yeah a ton of consumer stuff uses a generic 50mm driver
they use it as a marketing point for some reason
im not sure about 60mm
Surprisingly not a fan of Sennheiser's cheaper offerings
you mean joshua?
No, me
560 and 6## best sennys tbh
never tried hd800
I just want back the 6XX and honestly they sound warm and muddy to me
Just fairly boomy
Then I've tried the 800s
what sounds warm and muddy
And honestly didn't like those much either
6XX
i also feel that way
nah that’s kinda what they’re known for
And it's the Arya
warm and tight soundstage
cant get over how muffled and congested they sound to enjoy them
And someone said that makes sense now
its like the direct opposite of arya
Exactly
so i can feel you
literslly
600s peak at 2-3k and have a slight treble roll off
egg hifimans dip at 2-3k and have slight treble elevation
its not a frequency response thing i believe
they have totally opposite approaches to treble
impulse response maybe?
it layers so bad that makes the sound muffled
not necessarily low in treble
i think
i cant say ive spent much time with them but that's how i remember interpreting it
do they sound notably less open than hifimans
yes
i’ve only heard closed backs and hifimans
Yes
never an inbetween
Haven't tried any Audeze
I really dislike the sundaras but for comparison purposes, sundaras are far fucking wider and open
EXACTLY
It's like a night and day difference
sundara is really really nice with harman bass man
that's the only way I can use it
aside from the fact that mine has a loose screw that i’m too lazy to tighten
with eq coping the fuck out of it
I have the 400se but they're fairly close to the Sundaras
they are yeah
the thing is
at least sundara drivers can handle the boost
True
so even in low volumes they can feel rumblier than planars
which is the saving grace of sennies over hifimans
unless you into the higher end of things
I think I figured out I'm into brighter headphones
i honestly don’t care about the sub-50hz roll off on the sundara
i just like to match 50-120hz to harman
i mean i’d rather there not be the roll off but i’m not gonna sacrifice 3-4db of volume to fill it in
real men use a90d for all headphones
real men don't use headphones
not wrong
real
The LaCroix of headphone amps
i want a headphone that can handle playing at 114db without committing seppuku
like some iems can
i dont think you will establish that with headphones
i wonder how stax would fare with that sort of volume
sometimes i get the urge to listen to a phonk song at 114db and then go back to vibing after
i think you would destroy your hearing
nah not if it’s just one 2-3 minute song once a day man
people spend hours at concerts at that volume
You are sure it's really 114 ?
i don't have a measurement tool but i listen to a song super loud pause it and do other stuff
nah i have no way of measuring
come back and my headphones give me a jumpscare because of how loud they were left
but sometimes i put iems on as loud as i can stand for a couple songs and then go back down after
were those the latest senn in ears
I have a soundmeter and some minidsp EARS, it's pretty fun to play around with
The ie 900 are
But 600 are beautiful
Speaking of minidsp ears, how would they fare for room measurements of speakers ?
Just ended up moving away from iems do to wax
For room correc/treatment
by budget i mean like 300 ish
most senn in ears are dog crap
Uhhhh
they all have weird treble
ie400?
i won’t take it back it’s true
senn has some solid in ears afaik
the prices they charge to have bad treble tuning is unacceptable
when shit like crinacle red hugs harman for $55

Every single room correction software uses omnidirectional mics for room correction so I'm assuming there's a reason for not using ears.
I'm sure you could find a way to correct for the mic of the ears, but without that I suspect you're gonna get weird results.
Yeah so it won't be good
i don’t know
i thought you owned them
no
which iem was the one you had
Maybe enough to get a rough understanding of what's wrong with the room for treatment (and not software correction)
i own kbear ks2, 7hz salnotes zero, qkz x hbb khan, moondrop aria, and tangzu zetian wu
khan > zetian wu > aria > zero > kbear ks2
though i would understand if someone likes wu more
they’re sparkly but not sibilant at all it’s weird
Im stupid.
Got motu M4
Want to connect my dt990s
Forgot where the big plug is so cant use it (:
now you have an opportunity to buy the best adapters ever
the pop they make when you connect them is so satisfying
i will never use screw ons ever again

How come?
pain in the ass
Oh that's why
and the pop on ones are really satisfying like i said
literally
Damn I'll get thay then
i could play with it all day

Still will look around a bit to see if I can find my beyer box woth stuff
Its somewhere in my pile of garbage i never touch
garbage pile and drawer gang assemble
i don’t organize i just have different piles of shit from different points of time
I know where everything is from the stuff I actually use
But if I dont use it it gets lost in the void
i really want to run susvara off of utws5 just to annoy people
@molten lotus spotify lossless might finally be coming soon
though it’s rumored to have its own more expensive tier so i probably won’t buy it
same
lmao
the only time i’d take advantage of lossless is with speakers
i wouldn't even then
i cant tell the difference unless its critical listening of like 5 minutes of abx
i mean if it was a free upgrade i’d redownload all my shit in lossless because i have the space
but i’m not gonna pay more money for it
dankpods and reddit audio communities on their way to inform people on how to waste their money
k240 so good
Not a fan. It's too analytical
understandable
Yeah same for 80% of what I listen too
Also nowadays I kind of never do any critical listening...
There's also Modmic attachable microphones
If anyone wants for shipping costs I'll give you the e10 for free, I want it gone but I am too dutch to throw it away
lmao
i’ve honestly never been a critical listener aside from being picky about tonality
i think the shipping money is more valuable
incorrect FR annoys me and prevents me from turning the music into background noise like i want
Love the q701
And k240 are incredible for their price if it's still like 60€
Time to look through the pile for my plug
i would say i’m an attentive listener with speakers and i’ll sing the lyrics
but i’m not picking out micro details or anything
i just want the room full of sound
attentive listening is different than critical listening i believe
yup i can with confidendce say it does not exist anymore
Yes that's really the same for me, and why I really love multichannel stereo with my home theater (even though I'll probably get hated for saying that haha)
defo
attentive just means you’re actually paying attention
anybody can attentively listen
stereo duplication is probably nice if you have nice rear channel speakers and i believe you said you did
They are the same as my front ones yeah
wouldn’t work well for multi person listening i think
but just chilling by yourself sure
It does work well for multi persons, well, at least not worse than with only 2 speakers
eh
i didn’t like using it when i watched movies with my dad personally
because the volume mismatch between the rear channels was annoying
we each basically only got the left or right depending on where we sat
@steel escarp josh hasn’t sold his ft3 yet go email him
never mind you’re european lawl
L
what?
who is josh
valour
why would I buy his unit
I am ordering from a local store so I can return it after trying it out
anyone know what this connector is and how to use it
i saw it on a speaker today
it was similar i can say
just wondering how to connect it to an amplifier
looks like something for pro audio.
i have another speaker with that connector
is this for a subwoofer or for an actual pair of speakers
the one i was looking at is a subwoofer
and the other ones are a pair of pa speakers
okay. then they probably have amplifiers built into them
the pair doesnt
idk then.
im looking at 2 subwoofers that are used
its cashies so theres like 0 information
because the workers are stupid they list them either too cheap or too expensive
yeah man idk. sometimes when you try and cheap out you wind up wasting more money than if you just bought something normal. especially if you dont have a really good idea of what you're doing
my sub i used for 3 years and still now costed £10 from cashies
all it needs to do is make sound around 15-50hz
just need something that wont self destruct
like the one i used now is half cooked because i destroyed it
i found one that looks quite good
as long as it makes noise ill be happy
What’s a good pair of heads phones to use while mowing grass my dads just broke under 100 dollars
if you want good sound and isolation get ear buds.
if u want sound isolation avoid jbl
theirs sucks
although they are decent for other things
I fucking lost my ER2SE's and CX31933 dac at a restaurant (I think)
Anyways... Any new, good IEM's that came out in the last 6 months?
(under 100$)
lmao
Truthear reds
Interested in adding a vocal changer to a costume that pics up from a mic, applies vocal effects through hardware, and outputs through a speaker not too close by (like on a belt). Mic feedback is a big issue though. Is there any way to eliminate the extremely loud feedback in a situation like that?
Guys
I'm getting my room renovated
I'm thinking to get 4 speaker at 4 corners of the room
Which should I go with?
And should I bother with a subwoofer?
This totally depends on the budget
And is it for music? I'd honestly get two good speakers rather than 4 less good, except if you have a really good budget
For the sub you probably want one (or 2 hehe), but same, it's really expensive
And as for the source, it's something to think about too
Will you plug it into a PC H24, do you need Bluetooth, streaming features such as Spotify connect, dlna
If you go passive speakers you'll also need an amplifier etc...
Oh and you have to think about room correction too
So yeah
Complex subject
What's your budget, what's your goal, how do you want to use it, for music/gaming/home theater/combination of all that, what's the size of the room
my ear hurts from iem
Buy better ears
I don't want such an advanced system, my budget would be max 500 bucks
💀
Yes indeed for music only, will need Bluetooth also
I'd buy a topping dac that supports bluetooth and some powered monitors like JBL 305P
But I'd stick with two speakers
@livid rapids
Two speakers diagonally or same side?
Same side
You don't really have the budget to go multichannel stereo anyway
And music is recorded in stereo
So buying two better speakers rather 4 cheaper will be better
And you could even upgrade to 4 one day if you want to
which free equalizer can I use for windows?
Voicemeeter Banana is what I use but does a lot on top of having equalization so might be overkill depending on use case
you will get used to jt
equalizer apo
Equalizer apo
okay
It's really the best and simplest and honestly the other ones are often crappy
Also this one is a parametric EQ so it's better
Yeah well I could explain what a parametric EQ but you don't forcefully need to know
But yeah check tutorials
will take like 10 mins to watch a tutorial
Galaxy buds 2 sound quality and noise canceling is it good?
it's a bargin for the price though
I found some retailer selling it under 70 USD
anyways I'm getting the buds2 pro later
Really solid sound in my experience. tho age/battery life might be a concern soonish
What is the best track to rebass?
How about the jbl 710bt or the 660nc?
Ordered a pair for about $65
I’d say it’s a steal
Got a smol sub to help the Genelec's a bit
Nice bedside table
It's a sofa
Tried many different places for the sub, and the best sounding spot was next to the sofa, way back from where I'm sitting
Anyone know if these are any good? Even the 760nc is an option but only if the above mentioned ones are not worth it as that maxes my budget and I don't want to do so.
Hey, this would be my first time looking into high end headphones ever since my partner invested in his own pair and since then, I’ve been interested in getting my own pair. My budget is 1K. I want to steer away from warm and get into more bright sounding. I also don’t like long shaped ear cups since my head is small.
try and find a used hd800 or HD800S and then get a schiit stack.
hifiman edition xs
zen air dac, ifi zen can
I don't think it gets more brighter/neutral than this unless you want something very unbalanced in sound
Note taken
I think she mentioned she doesn't like long cups
curse my smol head
that or you will have to go unorthodox routes and try pairing earpads or buy more scuffed headphones for smaller cup space
it can't be that bad?
My wisdom teeth are growing

So long headphones would not feel great
jaw pressure?
Yeah
yeah jaw pressure is an issue with hifiman oval pads
not related to head size though, just jaw shape
I know, I’ve tried a pair from someone I know @bright osprey ahem
And it was terrible
Shit may as well be a helmet for me
nil's recommendation might be it for you then
its still oval in shape but its unlike hifiman pads
Hd 800s aren't too bad
I funny enough tried those and the sound was …alright to me
Not my cup of tea but theyre good
yeah I haven't heard of jaw pressure issues with them either
Yeah it was fine for jaw pressure
It comes down to comfort and sound for me
Mainly comfort though
my money go double or triple
alright as in underwelming?
Yeah
I may have to try em again but from what I remember yeah
Mmmm I don’t like anything that sounds too airy…if that makes sense
But I don’t know tbh. I used em for a brief moment
I’m still pretty new to what I like
hd 6xx
maybe hifiman not a good choice then
6xx also good on a small head
Hm okay I’ll add that to a list I’m making to try
if you see hd600 or hd650 theyre nearly identical
does 6xx not have the same eargain
i thought 600 6xx and 650 were all nearly identical
I do like some bass
if 600s are small head friendly maybe start with that and add bass with eq if you want
honeslty not a bad call
hd560s?
not too thin, fairly bright
pretty neutral
its like 1-2/10 of the budget she proposed but I can't think of any other headphones that fit into this criteria
@lean grove im starting to think we'll never get arya organic squiggles
ive still got hope
Added
Loooking for a tube dac & amp combo for my hifiman aryas
It doesn't have to be tubes either
Magni/Modi lol
I dont think you want tubes with those
Actually
Dont get anything at all, and wait until you can try shit
More worth your time and money
Understood
Oh also
I also wanted to know if I have both these speakers and headphones plugged into the schiit magni and Modi + stack
Will I be able to switch in between using both with the Modi button?

TCJJ Wireless Headphones Cat Ear LED Light Up Bluetooth Foldable Headphones Over Ear w/Microphone for Online Distant Learning (Black) https://a.co/d/9QonrIZ
where would be the optimal place for a subwoofer
i just cant seem to get the right place in my room for optimal bass
best spot i found was ontop of my windows 98 pc
probably not the best idea as the hdd is so old
I have a question about headphones that I want to buy, they have 80 ohms, I have a relatively new motherboard, would that be able to drive the headphones?
dt770s suck
How does optical audio compare to RCA or aux? I'm considering getting a speaker that supports optical.
no you should be fine.
RCA and AUX are analog signals. optical is digital.
in an analog signal, there is an electrical signal that is actually just musical sound waves turned into electric waves.
with digital, its the literal 1's and 0's of the music data being sent someplace else to be decoded.
so which ones better? if you're getting an analog source from someplace that might have a bad signal, like a computer that has a ton of hissing or humming or something, then you'd wanna use optical.
if you have something that is has a decent signal, then you can stick with RCA or AUX.
Is the optical good for a gaming setup?
optical will have zero impact on your gaming
I mean for audio. I do also plan on connecting my PC to a TV sometimes for a home theater setup
pc -> (hdmi) -> tv
tv -> (optical) -> speakers
set audio output to optical in tv settings
Are AirPods good? If so, which version should I try? Ping with replies or I won’t see it
airpods pro 2 have best in class noise cancelling and good enough tuning but i wouldn’t buy the regular airpods
And judging by the skull emojis that’s a no. Any other recommendations for wireless earbuds then? Don’t criticize, please educate
why do i even bother
Well not from you, I see your message, and thank you for the input
The skull emojis from others mean there is some reason not to buy, but they aren’t saying why
I’ll look into the AirPods Pro 2
So im trying to get some earbuds with noise cancellation and decent audio for around 150 any recommendations
Noise cancelling comes first I already have decent headphones
💀
that's practically nothing
A toaster could drive em
a toaster cant even drive a knife
True
Any good wireless earbuds? Preferably noise cancellation that I can turn on and off, good build quality, good sound, and decent battery. (Ping with responses)
whats wrong with airpod pros
Idk, someone (including you) gave me the skull emoji when I asked
So I assumed something is
i skulled at the "ping for response, i won't respond."
Oh ok
That makes me feel a bit better
Thanks for the clarification on that
Around $200 new right?
Maybe a little less?
last i checked its $250 and $200 on sale
used might also be a good option. the tips come with earwax filters so a fresh pair of tips should make them good as new
oh wait it is $200 new
Alr, that’s not too bad
I just got a new garmin, and I wanna be able to listen while on a run with it
You elaborated
So I’m on a shopping spree
do bone conduction headphones reach good iem quality?
I can give you hearsay of what I've heard from others at must but afaik they are not there yet
Anyone know a good $100 or less wired and wireless headphones
Wired has to be powered by 3.5 mm headphone jack
Cable must be replace able
Hard case or silicone for ear buds case?
campfire has some
hard case might get scratched by your keys
if you care about that then some pleather or silicone one might be better
I need a pair of Bluetooth and wired headphones for $100 or less
Wired must be powered by 3.5 headphone jack
And for charge by usb type c
Which one is much more "safe" though?
I'm assuming the hard case?
soft case
it will dampen any fall
hard case will stop erm
knife attacks targeting your in ears
soft case will protect against anything not actively applying stress in daily life
best of both worlds
you live in a cringe world
mad cuz you're living in turkey
partially
also because its not round
which is cringe
ngl i want some sort of cover for the utws3 my keys are threatening it
is there's a fiio tws adapter with a case
that is what i want to cover yes
will duct tape do
thanks
💀
I see my pods getting nasty like shit after 3 months
Gunk makes it goopy and grimey
what
gunk???
i think we have progressed technology further than to have silicone melt into different izotopes in 3 months
Lint
lint
oh
deuterium
it cant be that bad
Thoughts on Fiio k5 pro?
ewaste
FiiO tries to make a good product (impossible)
too expensive for what it is
if you can get it for about 50 bucks then sure
any more and you're better off with other options
Oopsies I asked for it for my birthday
It’s gonna go with my hd6xxs so it’ll prolly be fine ?
You couldve asked for a magni and modi or something instead
or
Yeah it’s too late for that
My family already bought it
You didnt get it online?
They ordered it off my Amazon list
You can cancel amazon orders
I didn’t order it I’m not even supposed to know I’m getting it
eh, that's fine then
it'll do just fine
it's got plenty of power, and if you're not a particularly picky listener it'll sound no diff from anything else
it's fine
Hi, can you recommend a low-noise mid-range XLR cable for microphone?
Hi, looking for a audio "mixer" like the beacn mix any recommendations
anything works
Hi, I used to have a no brand model ($5), recently got a branded model ($15) and it has 10dB less noise, was wondering if there's a difference to go after a $100 model
in terms of having even less noise
where did you get that 10db number? did you test it yourself or?
Yes, while testing recording in the audition, with the same gain on the sound card, and then comparing them, I noticed the new cable has much less hiss noise and other high pitch noises.
and it was easier to remove noise because there wasn't as much as before.
any semi decent cable is gonna have okay shielding unless it's for a super long range
Oh, that could be a reason; my last cable was 3.5m and the new one is 2m
Amazon basics or equivalent would do fine, anything beyond that is
that length seems fine tbh
Could that 1.5m affect that much?
true, that's why I think some brands are better overall
that much doesn't matter
sounds like one of the cables is damaged
How could I test that? because it may happen overtime and it adds some noise but you won't notice much until you get a brand new cable
it's just a loose contact somewhere
the cable probably broke of stress or had a manufacturing error
it might be difficult to tell whether a cable is broken or not from the sound of it, i recommend just recording something now and taking note of the gain and using that recording for comparison in the futute
I see when I touch the part that goes to the mic, it makes some more noise. Are they repairable?
maybe
if the connector isn't filled to the brim with glue, you can resolder it
but if its the cable that broke and not a solder, the odds are you will need to replace the entire cable
and solder the connectors back
Hi, looking for a audio "mixer" like the beacn mix any recommendations
x touch mini with midi mixer software
funktioniert dat auch mit Mac
It looks like this
no it is just a mixer
you can take off that plastic bit on the right too
Yes!
sry doesnt have to do anything with audio but could someone look at this https://discord.com/channels/375436620578684930/1127916139549306940
the drop+smsl ho150x seems pretty pog if you dont care about balanced
6w 16ohm, 3w 32ohm, 550mw 300ohm with negative, neutral, and positive gain
$160
i love how cheap shit is now
K thanks
I’ve only ever owned bad gaming headsets so I probably won’t notice anything anyway
I went from shitty stuff to turtle beach stealth 600 (which many people here would also say is shitty) to Astro a40s, and aside from turtle beach being uncomfortable, they were pretty good to me
The A40s are comfy, and sound better than the turtle beach too
To someone who’s only had shitty headphones, a40s are the lesser of my evils
yeah im looking foward to my hd6xx's
rn im running cloud 2;s and they are kinda sharp sounding
i will ive heard they are pretty decent
Yeah, I only hear “get this and don’t get that” from this chat’s main contributors, so I like to hear from other people too
not as good as beyer shit
i don't think our contributions worked given you got the a40
Any good ones sub $150 for gaming?
dt880 250ohm
yeah I was gonna get a50's glad I decided on the hd6xx's
I got them over a year before I joined this discord, almost 2 I think
hd560s, worse for gaming but better in sound imo
my bad then
No, you’re fine. I was a stupid kid who googled “best headphones 20xx” and looked for one that was cheap and high-ish up
ive head the EPOS PC38X are very good for gaming but ive never used them so I dont know
If I had discord at the time, or knew about this place, I would’ve asked here
if it pleases you a40 are better than most of the wireless gaming trash
that is a good choice but only if you need a headset, hd560s are a better option if not
A50 are the wireless ones, double the price of a40s usually ($300 for a50s)
you have the a50?
No
I wanted them for quite awhile, but they are expensive
And don’t want them anymore cause there’s better options
yeah I was gonna buy a50s
A60
but only for an extra like 40$ im getting hd6xx's and a dac/amp
I bought a used (or refurb I can’t remember) pair at a pawn shop and they were comfy AF, but I couldn’t figure out how to connect them to my Xbox well
They sounded good but I couldn’t get them to stay connected
u need the dock it comes with and you plug that into the xbox
prolly cuz they were used pawnshop headphones
Yeah, I was probably just a stupid kid tbh
Naw, they were in very beautiful condition (looks-wise) and I could get them to connect sometimes
But then it would stop giving audio all together and I’d mess with it, and it would work temporarily
Going from no dac/amp to an audio interface is a noticable improvement
GUYS Arctic’s nova 3 or Arctic’s pro + gamedac wired
Either go for that or maybe look at the audeze Maxwell because it is really good
Hi! How do I make it so the same audio source is being played on 2 different headsets? (My Razer Kraken X Lite and some samsung earbuds)
I want to record music and I don't have a sound card (My friend is helping me IRL)
Like he sits at the monitor and starts the recording, etc... with the samsung earbuds and I just sing in the mic with my headset
Guys I need some advice, I'm about to buy some wireless earbuds and I'm probably gonna get the jabra elite 7 pro/active
What I keep hearing though, no matter the brand, is that tws earbuds apparently have terrible mics. Being able to talk hands-free is the biggest reason I'm getting earbuds in the first place so I'm a bit lost.
Airpods pro 2
I use android, sorry should have mentioned that
Neither, if you are bound to gaming headsets, cloud 2, if you arent, pc38x, if you dont actually need a mic, hd560s
Also cause of prime day hd560s is on a decent sale
the latter is the worst headphone i have owned in my life
So I am using G773s currently but I was looking to upgrade my headphones to a DTT 770 Pro 250ohm what should I get for an Amp? I was suggested a Schiit (still can't get over the name)
Or does someone have a better suggestion in the same price point
Samsung bud 2?
Yes
I can compare my new ones when I get out of work in like 13 hours lol
I have the olive ones to match my phone
avoid dt770
and you don't necessarily need an amp for it
can't
👍
if it was a 3.5 one you could purchase an audio mixer
or use instrument input of an audio mixer
uhhh
plausible but I don't know how you would do that exactly
and it might be expensive if it requires you to buy preamps
Are there any good wireless gaming headphones for 120$?
Any cheep XLR mic setup recommendations for prime day maybe the wave DX only 65£
hows the battery life on em
u think i shoiuld get cloud 2?
Is it worth buying USB type c earphones or do I just go wireless?
Only thing is last time I bought wireless they didn't last very long and stopped charging after about a week or 2
my personal theory is I only go wireless with stuff if I have to because it's just more shit that can break and shorten something's lifespan
unless the batteries are replaceable in which case whatever
I don't mind wireless but I just need to get a pair with good quality and lifespan cos my past experiences with wireless haven't been great
Depends on which is better to get (earphones or headphones)
Don't actually know any good pairs of wireless earphones or headphones though since I have rarely bought em
