Maybe disassembling it and look if it's not something that got disconnected internally ?
What would you guys recommend mic wise around the $200 line? I've got a Schiit Fulla with a 3.5mm input if that opens any paths, just a mic for talking to friends & in-game, atm I really only have my webcam mic
Yeah I guess there are better things but never bothered knowing what was good (since I'm not interested on those products), i just know powered speakers are good for this price
Thanks for the info
200$ is pretty overkill for this use case
You could get a USB condenser mic at around 40-70$ and get any microphone arm you want
Any recommendations brand or even model wise?
Samson, behringer, t.bone.. and for a bit more audio technica, rode..
For example the Behringer XM8500 is stupidly cheap and stupidly good
You need to add to it an USB audio interface though but still dirt cheap and super good
Look at yr reviews (where you'll hear the mic)
not to use with fulla we don't
fulla is exclusively for headset mics
if you want dedicated mics you need either usb or an xlr one
or something very small like lavalier mics
Yeah I'd like to know of a good cheap lavalier mic to recommend to people that isn't XLR and can run from a motherboard without any amp or whatever
Yeah the XM8500 sounds insane for $27, any downsides to it that I should know? Otherwise it seems like a perfect match for me
Yes and I'm pretty sure you could and probably should use an XLR to 3.5mm jack that plugs into your fulla since this mic doesn't require phantom power to my knowledge
it doesn't but I don't think fulla is strong enough to drive it at all
@glad creek @atomic ridge
even full fledged entry level audio interfaces clip while running xm8500 loudly
i wouldn't at all doubt if someone told me the fulla wont be enough to drive it
Are astro a50s a good headset for fps games like tarkov where footsteps are very important
It's a okay headset
but theres the audeze maxwell for the same price as the astro a50 and it sounds noticeably better
Rn I’m using the cloud 2 wireless I’m guessing both of those headsets are going to be noticeable upgrades ?
the maxwell is def noticeable, the astro is prob as well, but the maxwell is a jump of quality from the astro
Astro is honestly worse than the C2W
@molten lotus my poor ass is finally applying for a new job
I need to increase the audio spending budget
Yes
Hello gamers. Not sure if this is the right channel but looking for some advice on a brand new pair of headphones. Looking for a pair that are over ear and wireless. Budget doesn't really matter.
Been using a pair of budget Tecknet (GH10928) headphones since 2020. They're pretty comfortable but they're beginning to tear. Got a new rig at the end of 2022 and I've been replacing every peripheral. Would like a pair that are similar in dimension to my current headphones.
Been eyeing up Corsair and Steelseries but still not entirely convinced. Looking for some recommendations.
the best of the best and frankly one of the few headsets that is actually decent is the audeze maxwell.
are you willing to spend the asking price of that headset?
Wirelessn't
what the fuck
@unique wind
the man who was said to be a legend exists in the flesh
They're a pretty rare find even in the country that builds them
Triple*
They're so rare that people would lie about owning them only to be unable to find any pictures online or references to them
Internet doesn't seem to have much pictures or anything about these
You'd need to sit back so far from your desk to get a good triangle
This is an insanely good looking setup
I just love the way you mounted the speakers
What are your screens ?
What dimensin is your desk ?
Main: Samsung Odyssey C32JG56
Secondaries: Dell P2314HT
And the desk is 80cm by 160cm, or 31.5" by 63" for the American folks
you fit three monitors and speakers on a 32x63? thats nuts
i have the same size desk and cant imagine being able to fit all that
and a big ass amp too
Only by having vertical monitors on the sides
Haven't heard of it before but I'll have a look thanks
In audacity, I see low volume for microphone recording with built-in microphone of laptop. Why? Though microphone volume is 100% and boost is 10
i want arya organic graph squiggles not random article editors yapping about sound with zero data
I wonder how the room modes are with speakers placed like that
Finally enabled ldac with dsee extreme in sony wf-1000xm4
Yamahas are for loud time, Genelecs are for good time
I never use the towers while sitting at the desk
have you measured your speakers with any calibrated microphone
I was curious if you got any weird dips in the sub 1k region due to their placement
¯_(ツ)_/¯
I am guessing you at least have some peaks in the 120Hz area with them near the desk
honestly just for fun get a 100 euro miniDSP UMIK-1 mic and measure them, that mic resells for pretty much retail value
A slight peak around there
get one second hand if you can since people often sell them once they are done measuring
No point in measuring tbh, because I can't change the placing much
i'm getting an error -0001 while installing Realtek audio Manager. my mobo is B660M ds3h ddr 4 atx.
can someone link the realtek audio manager plz
hey I'm having issues with my PS3 not outputting Dolby digital 5.1 is this an appropriate space to ask that? my Sony DAV system is rather old (2008) and it seems to work if I set DTS audio, but the icon on the screen doesn't appear when I select Dolby digital 5.1...
it seems to output 5.1 when I select DTS, but them my TV throws a fit saying the audio is incompatible despite playing just fine
goddamn the HD800s really do have an incredible soundstage
Imagine owning passives LLLLLLLLLLLLL
what are the best headphones under 250$? i'm thinking about getting new headphones but i dont know what to buy
what is stax
What do you need to know? 🙂
I don't know, just talking
I had one in like 2015-16? I miss it a lot
But I don't know if I'd like one nowadays
And they also are super duper not comfortable
Stax is an old brand of expensive headphones that are mainly known to use a super specific driver technology called "electrostatic headphones"
@late cloak
And they have some sort of cult in the audio community lmao
i don't need somethink fancy
People praying the god of electrostatics headphones every night
Oh yeah I wasn't talking to you at all
ah
no problem
Describe what you'll do with the headphones
I just need headphones that have a good sound quality and a good price performance ratio
Yes but there are headphones dedicated to going outsides
casual gaming and lisening to music
mic would be good but i think i have an external mic lying around
You should be sure that you don't want one
Do you want it wired ?
No going outside ?
yes
yes
Yeah...that's definitely true XD
just for my desk
Generally, stax are very similar in comfort to previously. The lambda series (L700 etc) are near identical in overall build to the ones from decades ago.
They have newer ones like the X9000 that are more comfortable though, but those are their flagship model rn
I had a Sr 507
@glad creek i thougt about the beyerdynamic DT-770 Pro 250 Ohm
what is this
A stax
ah
I personally don't like this headphone
Do you need noise isolation ?
Not talking about active noise cancellation
But raw passive isolation
it would be good because my pc is quiet lout
no just like some blowing of the fans
oh pined the wrong massage
Control them better no ?
no im to lazy
And if I had this budget maybe I'd take a hifiman he400se and a topping dx1s ?
But that's just what I'd do, not what I'm telling you to do
Because it's subjective
it's not that i can spent 250 it's just i dont want to pay more under 150 would be better
i don't want somethink profestionell i just want somethink good for my money
is there anythink i can get
cool
Toilet paper modded dt990

Is hyperx quadcast a good purchase for a £60/$80 budget?
Or is there anything better

Would you say this is the best one?
What is your personal fav between the 3?
mpm1000u
Is it any diff from mpm4000u?
Yes.
I can't tell the difference
then does a difference matter
One has gain one doesnt
if that is the determiner to your purchase I can't choose that for you
then dont worry about it.
Fair
I find I prefer dark for stuff like audiobooks and such but for YT vids I prefer a brighter sound
Can y'all recommend headphones for $50 or cheaper, currently using Soundcore Q20s
koss porta pro
Wth
there there
im assuming your reacting is from the surprise of finding such an affordable and great sounding headphone all in one
kph30i >>
kph30i snaps too easily
fuck you nils ill never accept your portas
if the headband on the kph30i would last more than 1 month, i'd take it any day of the week over the porta pros
i do have an unusually large head
but no. the cable just inevitably gets cought on something and snap
Design looks goofy
the term you're looking for is "old school"
but they're the best headphones under $50
yeah the kph30i
good mic for around 60gbp
Is the tangzu waner sg better than the 7hz zero?
Hello, https://fifinemicrophone.com/collections/usb-mics/products/fifine-k690-usb-microphone , is it a good microphone?
At Audeze, we usually do not comment on reviews unless there are incorrect statements or measurements that are not repeatable. On March 23rd, we noticed RTings.com purchased a Maxwell, presumably for testing and review. We proactively reached out to them and sent them information on how best configure the headphone f
Do you need a multi pattern mic?
@fresh cargo No problem with multi pattern.
Speaking of that someone is asking me for 300eur speakers.... Are they that recommendable ?
Just grab a seiren mini and call it a day
Ksc75 better
Honestly all three of Koss’ big three are identical as far as I know so get whichever.
You don’t want a headband? KSC75
You do? Porta Pro
You like spending money? KPH30i
if they can go used, they may be able to find the 306 which have better bass than the 305 and are larger, otherwise 305 are as good as they get
Lol yeah
hello i have a dt 990 pro 250 ohm and i connected it to my go xlr mixer. Do i need to buy an amplifier or the mixer can handle it?
You tell us if you got both in front of you.
If you have both in front of you
You tell us if the mixer can handle it
That is information that you have access to right now.
can I join
I'm trying to lead you to the correct answer. It's like someone saying that they got a 3070 and they want to know if it can run battlefield at 4k.
Like, this is something you can easily find out for yourself.
when i say cant it handle it i meant will it be loud enough
Plug in your headphones.
they are absolutely not identical
Listen to music.
your fkn triggerd
I'm annoyed. Ngl.
wtf is wrong with this dude
Why can't you plug in your headphones
I'm not the one sitting with a two piece puzzle asking online for advice.
hhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
Square peg, square hole, oonga boonga how me solve
i think he is baiting you nils
i came for advice knowing i dont know any thing about and you sad guys with no life are trying to find a problem
hhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
You know, responding like this to criticism is a good indicator of a personality disorder
i think there is a more significant problem if you aren't intelligent enough to test whether your headphones are loud enough or not
You might wanna get that checked out.
tell this to yourself you coudve just answered
yes or no
@lean grove is my hammer big enough to be painful enough if i hit my finger with it
1 kg head and 20cm hilt
You could have literally plugged in your headphones and found out for yourself dude
what do you mean????
I thought headphones were decorative pieces you put on your desk
brother my headphones are 250 ohm and the mixer i dont know how much ohm
Ask yourself who asks for advice on incredibly simple tasks, then gets full aggro when they get babied and told to discover the answer for themselves.
💀
omg man
hhhhhhhhhhh
Envy. My guy.
hhhhhhhhhhhh
no way these sad discored mods are talking
Or ask your parents if you need help with that
@white gate we got a troll
discord mods are mad
i cant plug in my headphones lol hhhhhhhh
10th percentile IQ
sure if you say so
One of the questions they ask you on childhood development tests is matching shapes and colors.
You failed both of those when you have no idea how to plug headphones in.
It's just the facts, dude. I'm sorry you have to hear it from me.
Maybe too many lead paint chips. That will also impact your impulse control.
Did they have to cut a piece of paper along a dotted line
iFunny watermark
Sorry kid.
@lean grove this guy is soo sad that he is getting mad at people asking questions
💀
from google
Sad.
if you say so..
i wont let you trash talk ifunny
i will die on this hill
I love it when companies add watermarks to stolen content.
Idk what you're talking about.
I rest my case
sick selfie whats your tiktok account
thats nils michael
I'd never post a selfie on iFunny
explain this then
@lean grove
nils is a cranky boomer not a redditor band kid
You still here, dude?
@unique wind yeah sure
nils is 43 years old
well he is a sad 43 year old reddit guy
this video literally is him
LITERALLY.
idk man he has a point just plug them in and see if they get loud enough
I only meant they provide the full 250 ohm power
he went on a 10 min rant when there was no need too.
have u tested it yet
yes i have had them for 2 months
do they get loud enough
you tell us michael
yes on certain things
😹
i only came here to see if someone have them and had any exeprinces hence why im on the Audio tech channel i came for an advice.
if you dont know you dont need to answer simple as.
question isn't why we try to answer you
question is why are you asking something you should know yourself
you own the items, they are in front of you
put on a music and listen
do they get loud enough or don't?
Doesn’t that defeat the point of advice?
Isn’t the entire point why he’s asking is for someone to inform him?
he is asking if his headphones will be loud enough on the item he has been using for three months
who do you think is more qualified to answer lmao
regardless
You can simply answer the question and move on
that’s the entire point of why someone asks
hi guys i want the Most expensive headset and audio panel for my gaming please TELL
suggest
idk why your so against answering a question
He is asking if the headphone he is using, is loud enough on goxlr
@gusty cloud pie please just simply ignore
how can we answer it when hes the one who owns the headphones and amp himself
and answer himself
Sick
Someone can ask a question about if their PC turns on and you simply say yes
i dont have an amp
It doesn’t matter what it is
hence why im asking
@gusty cloud Does my computer turn on
klaus HELP
ur interface has a headphone amp
Please answer
sennheiser he1
ok
@gusty cloud will my macbook pro 16" 2021 get my hifiman sundara loud enough? answer quickly please
will my monitor work if i remove the hdmi from it
i have owned both for around 6 months but im not sure if it will
EVERY 1 be nice to envy
whats happened tell
ill show you where the goxlr touched me

If it's a simple question then it shouldn't be much effort to help the person understand. A lot of people get trapped in fear of breaking something or doing something wrong and are unable to get past simple hurdles.
So by guiding people to the solution you make sure they can answer questions for themselves in the future
envy: will my interface get my headphones loud enough?
nils: idk try it
envy: why are you so mad and rude you fat loser redditor kid? you triggered?
nils: insults back
chat: what the fuck nils!!!!
lol
So when someone asks "are my headphones loud enough" and you say "plug them in and test for yourself" you're not only circumventing the entire trouble shooting of how loud is loud, what power is, impedance, ohms, distortion
:/
Youre making sure they can help other people
lmao
Can't believe you're still here, little dude
NO arguing please
Do you still need help
im a kid sure
jorj did you check out the headphones
do you need help finding the hole?
yup
you coud just say yes or no
how would nils know
will you do the downpayment of 10,000 usd
he doesnt have them infront of himself to test
you do
see if they get loud enough for your own tastes
if they dont then we can recommend you an amplifier
I have literally never touched a goxlr or 990. You have had both for.months. how do you not know if they're loud enough
Discord*
Pancakes good tho

Oh it's the cookies guy
YEAH guys
i only came here for advice
yeah why didnt you
lmao
this question is yet to be answered
yummy chocolate chip cookies
@jagged turretsee there its just a loop
i didnt see what jawa posted
This ends now.
@unique wind did you see those Nzxt speakers on short circuit
They kinda look like audio engines.
Im wondering if they designed them in house or subbed them to someone else
i did not
most likely the latter
They just look weirdly bad but competent
Like someone knew the basic steps to make a good speaker and didn't know some obvious pitfalls.
Would you folks say the Nothing Ear 2 buds are worth $100?
And would you say that Astro A30's for $160 is a good deal or would you still not get them as gaming headphones?
I definitely wouldn't get the Astros. Pc37x or pc38x are gonna be way better.
Are they wireless?
That is pretty much mandatory for me
No they're wired.
Is there anything wireless you think is a better deal? @lean grove
No.
Okey so if I am looking for wireless they are a good deal?
no
¯_(ツ)_/¯
There's not a lot of wireless headsets out there that really compete with wired stuff
There's like. Maybe 2.
So what is a good deal when it comes to wireless?
not wireless
it's just not a good deal generally
whenever you try to go wireless you take big hits in audio quality
Well I'm never gonna get a pair of wired headphones.
I have them with me and some of my devices don't even support wired ones.
but even then for wireless astros aren't good
like?
I don't really care that much about Audio Quality.
I have used Sony XM3's for 2 years and then XM4's for a year now and they are completely fine for me.
xm3 and xm4 are leagues above the astros
i wouldn't call them very good but even then they are notably better
Okey, what about Nothing Ear 2's?
Are they decent buds for the price?
Found them for $100
anyone have any idea about the wfc 700n
not really
galaxy buds are good for around that much though
from sony
least the best you can get
My Galaxy buds broke
sadge
I didn't drop them or anything but the left one just stopped working
i wanna buy buds 2
that's how tws are
when you make something so small that the friction and small amount of grab on your can hold it
you trade in lifetime of the product
as such most tws breaks around 2 years
now im scared to buy buds 2
what else then
i just said
buds 1?
nekocakes?
galaxy buds was what i said
the anime voice makes me not want them
nekocakes also work
so the 1st gen of buds
anime voice >
crinacle made a video comparing every buds variant
I kinda want ANC as well for my buds
watch it if you'd like
if Airpods Pro 2 weren't so expensive I might have bought those
dont remember 1st gen
get pro 1 second hand
oh I would never buy buds second hand
nasty af ^^
anyone know anything about these
fr
cause they seem good
mid
no

reading a review, they dont seem bad at all
this happens too often for comfort
let me guess they rated them like around 7-8/10
like every other item on their website
who, sony?
yeah i been around
the reviewer
hm... is whathifi trustworthy then
alr then
very first reviewer
crazy
i doubt they have changed much from the time of that article
and what do you recommend to use
ask here
A one dimensional rating is doomed to be shit anyway
like sinad?
It's not the only thing I check
Indeed for dacs and amps that's one of the main thing for me, but that's for me
And for speakers I'm less of an objectivist
But yeah, a dac with a bad sinad for example isn't something I'd want that's true
im getting conflicting information about the buds 2
It's like
If good sinad : consider the other points
If bad : no go
It may be a flawed way of looking at things but hey
crinacle, the site that everyone quotes apparently, says the buds 2 are great, and yet in here theyre not good
indicator of something bad, not necessarily an indicator of something good.
but also its still a flawed one dimensional scale
something with moderate distortion but incredibly low noise floor is an example of something which might how low SINAD but still perform very well
especially if that distortion is tilted in a more pleasing way
why
its not like low sinad means better or more natural sound anyways
just numerical accuracy
Because it's just how I am, I am a mathematician and I like numbers lmao
at the end of the day you are the listener anyways
True
But I want to hear what the person who did the song wanted to make
And also because if I want something else, I can use dsp to add distorsion or a PEQ or whatever, which I do btw for my hd 600
And also the more transcient the source, the more I can hear what my speakers sound is
you aren't really hearing what they wanted to make
That is true
the odds are they used shitty dt770s to master it with recording equipment even further than original
It is true, but still it doesn't add yet another layer of difference
Also I've come to like low distorsion things, not even talking about staying true to the artist, I just like it
It's "clean" sounding
if you are behind this many layers of transmutation of audio at this point why chase numerical accuracy and not sound you just like
Because I seem to like numerical accuracy, at least distorsion-wise
distortion you can tell apart neatly sure but in the parameters of neutral items I can't tell one apart from the next one
give me 10 topping amp/dacs and i doubt id be able to tell most of them apart
Yeah same
Because they aim to have the same sound so it's consistent at least haha
The differences will be I/o, power output, balanced or not etc ...
At least for topping
it is
But for speakers and headphones I'm less of an objectivist guru
Well I still love low distorsion, but the frequency curve ? Yeah I'm more open to different curves
fake news they would clearly only ever use 8361 😤
As I said last time the best headphone I have ever possessed where stax Sr 507 and I doubt they are super "objectivist friendly", especially considering the modded stax amp that I had which are known to not be good "objectively"

any dt880 owners that can test my EQ APO preset
are there any stax owners that aren’t racist or homophobic
are you quoting my sg username
yeah
i am limited regarding expressing my opinions on the matter because of the discord terms of use
:3
im such a gemini
No
Cant happen
Is there a joke I don't understand or are stax lover just hated ?
There's a large group of stax lovers which have a pretty bad reputation
looking into a new mic im interested in the Neat king be 2 but idk if anyone knows if its actually good and i'm also getting the full goxlr brodcaster with phantom power can anyone tell me if thats good
goxlr is shit
its not shit
but like
it's really fucking trash for 400$
it performs like a 50$ interface with a digital eq slapped on it
what would you recommend as to replace than for something else than
the fifine one
any 50$ interface
is it good
i want something thats going to last me a while
fifine doesn't have a long lifespan so buying an interface it still the better choice
go get an m track solo instead of a goxlr
fr
save yourself several hundred dollars
if you really want a digital eq alongside m track, go get a behringer x touch mini and use it with midi mixer
Can it turn up and down the volume for discord music and game because I’m going to be streaming and I need something that can do than just the mic and mute?
I cannot fucking listen to my planars anymore
after my post EQ dt880
my left ear is so fucked atm, the stage of the xs just does not work with one bad ear
I mean if you really want a digital eq just do it on your PC via software
Just build a passive analog filter for each and every one of your headphones
What r the best noise cancelling headphones (not earphones) for under £100 GBP
yes
and it does it beter than goxlr
GoXLR is popular with streamers for a reason that's not just marketing
I assume it's probably much easier to use than other solutions
Now, whether or not you actually need it is questionable
it is just marketing
Nah
It's almost certainly braindead easy to use
I mean, I don't have one but plenty of not terribly tech savvy streamers use them
true
if you compare this
https://www.behringer.com/behringer/product?modelCode=P0B3M
and this
https://www.tc-helicon.com/tchelicon/product?modelCode=P0DI7
it's pretty clear that they're targeting different markets
I don't own either, but I imagine that goxlr is much simpler to work with
youre also paying 300 more for that convenience
yeah, so?
$130 is more than worth it to a streamer who doesn't have to fuck around with reaper or something
just a question what is a good xlr mic for streaming and calls?
For a ~$50 headset, is the logitech G431 a decent pair? Of not, can someone recommend me that has surround sound, low latency for gaming, and is comfortable to wear? Preferably over ear headphones since the suction from buds of iems hurt my ears
xm8500 is the de facto simple and basic option.
thats actually good for stuff not 25$
it is good
you don't know what you are talking about
fr
bruh i want a streaming mic not something that looks like ima be a comedian lol
how about the aston origin
or electrovoice re-20
bro is some picky mf
looks like?
its a microphone bro
its supposed to sound good and be reliable
do you think your viewers are going to make fun of you because your microphone doesn't look the way you'd expect it to
its a fucking mic
people use headset mics to stream
lav mics and all sorts of bs
no one gives a shit
rather than paying 400$ for a goxlr use that to take therapy sessions of self worth if you are this insecure
fr also i would want something that i like the design also than a standard stage mic
twich chat is for your content not for criticizing your goofy microphone
you are mental if you think the mic is a determining factor in your career
imo this is one of the sexiest mics out there
ngl that wire looks like barbwire thats cool
sounds good too
real
oh hmm
yeah idk they're way too showey
anything with razer green is an immediate L from me
I don't think ive heard anyone buying lewitt mics for their sound
most people ive spoken to admitted they a behringer c1 sounds better than their 200$ lewitt
they just wanted the looks
SE dynacaster looks cool
looks like my non erect privates
good.
i know
i wouldn't want anyone to think that my audio was aroused
that's why i avoid CBT speakers
i wouldn't want anyone to think otherwise
lmao
i see bose in this
where
wtf is that speaker
cbt36 i presume
its so long and wierd
if i had a nickle for every time i heard that
lmao
thats the ball torture
but really its just a line array
bose didnt invent them
bose didn't invent them
bose couldn't build fucking arrays
bose 901 my love
you are so shit
they're used almost universally in concerts because they transmit volume over long distance really well with an even frequency resposne
oh yeah... those
you know that gif of the orangutang trying to use a hammer and nail?
yes
thats bose trying trying to mimic what a line array does
better engineering than bose
but this isnt just a line array, its a CBT
all of the above
Watch them all: http://www.parts-express.com/Video.aspx?VideoID=2017
The CBT theory was applied to loudspeaker arrays by Keele in 2000 (Keele CBT Paper 1) where he extended the concept to arrays based on circular-arc line arrays and toroidal-shaped curved surface arrays. Keele also extended the concept to straight-line and flat-panel CBT arrays...
my friend recommended the king bee 2 mic and the Rode podmic or shure mv7 xlr version
the beautiful thing about microphones is that you can get a pretty good idea how they'll perform based off of youtube sound demos. so if i were you i'd load up some sound demos for each of those mics and compare them for yourself and see what you like most.
I know you missed me
real
ok so ima King bee 2 mic but idk what I would need as some people say don't go for the goxlr but I need to control volume but I also need to find a mixer that has phantom power built into it can someone help
or so i just buy a phanto power channle thing
Basically anything that you can plug an XLR mic into will have phantom power
I don't think the king bee 2 is particularly gain hungry, so you shouldn't need a cloudlifter
what's the difference between sterio and surround sound? which is better?
2 speakers Left/Right vs 4+ speakers surrounding you
i suppose in terms of gaming audio, do i just get a good ol sterio headset and not these fancy "surround sound" ones?
like the corsair HS50
Good stereo > fake surround any day
$100 is a tight budget for good headphones
you might be able to find a pc37x for that price
and if you wanna play around with virtual surround sound you can download a free software called HeSuVi
it allows y ou totry a bunch of different types from different brands too
HS80 are an amazing step up
Audiophile headsets will beat them but for the price they’re wonderful
As good or better than the Virtuoso XT
if you want a “gaming” headset that’s the way to go
id take pc37x or pc38x over whatever steelseries has any day of the week
same difference
not at all…
Can you save up to like $150?
Like I said though, audiophile headsets WILL beat it
so then why bother recommending something that is worse?
I got mine for $120, wired are $99
Price.
Or preference
I dislike the hs80
They squeeze my head too much
probably, im just looking for headphones can can last 8+ years with proper maintenance
if you can afford a hs80 you can afford a pc37x
HD560s
Be aware that I live in the Philippines so the pricing here can be different
Aw fuck
You're gonna have to look into local pricing and availability for a lot of these
rip
mhm i'm on it
iems for gaming will always be better for imaging if you're doing competitive gaming
mostly i shop in lazada or shopee so... yeah
I don't mind iems, but I don't find them comfortable for long sessions
me neither
i would go for iems but the buds really hurt my ear
oh naturally, but iems for gaming will always outperform headphones
I'd still recommend open back cans
ohh i see
anyways time for my question
I have a couple desktop speakers that have a basic speaker wire connection, with the +/- red/black tabs on them. I’m looking for a decent but affordable audio interface for them so I don’t have to have a chonky AV receiver in the office. They say “80 Watts RMS, 180 Watts peak,” anybody got a good recommendation for me? Don’t want to spend too much, probably below $100.
This is a review and detailed measurements of the Fosi Audio V3 stereo amplifier. It was sent to me by the company and costs US $89.99 with stock 32 volt supply. Price goes up to $109.99 with the 48 volt supply. There is a $10 discount coupon right now.
Despite its budget price, the V3...
should be plug and play.
well
there's no USB input
so you'd need an 3.5mm to rca converter
unless you already have a dac
Which budget over-ear headphones would you guys recommend with good/decent NC?
What is budget for you
would be looking at already 150+ quite easily for ANC over ear that isn't dogcrap
The headset adjustement on the maxwell works with .... screws !!!!
Hey guys
Looking to buy a sound bar, anybody got a good suggestion for under 200$?
Oh well we can see that the maxwell wasn't thought for linux lmao
Lol the Maxwell seems to have caused a bit of a flurry
For PC only, would the PS or Xbox version be better? I noticed the PS version doesn't come with Dolby Atmos, which isn't a big deal, but I'm wondering if there are any other differences.
con pin
no
SHUSH pin
buds 2 or beats studio..
ive been thinking of getting senhizer hd600s but dont want to spend a lot on an amp what should I get
Meh a fiio k3 would probably drive them.
I might try no amp first, and then if they aren’t loud enough get an amp
Although amps can make a difference to dynamics
you can start with this dongle which gives you a clean dac and a tiny bit of power, if that’s not enough then you can plug it into a $100 amp like a schiit magni using a cable like this
I do not have usb c on my computer, thats what my friend told me to do
search up cx31993 dongle
it’s very similar but they usually come with a usb c to usb a adapter in the box
ok thank you
Do you have a way to check dB that you currently listen to?
no, at least not that I know of
Ah ok
im new to the whole audio thing, im assuming the hd 600s are configured out of the box? I just plug them in and they are good to go for gaming?
like I dont need to turn on dolby atmos or anything ( dumb question ik)
Yep
yeah they’re fully passively powered there’s no software or anything required
they’re completely analog
alright, thank you
Dolby is an attempt to make surround sound on only two drivers, it either works ok or sounds like trash
So I wouldn’t turn it on
It’s kind of a gimmick
I use it on my cloud 2s but when I get the 600s idek if it has dolby
Dolby is software, it works on every headphone, it’s not on by default
I was originally gonna get astro a50s, im assuming the sennhizers are a lot better?
A lot of things are better than astros
sound better yeah
for gaming, I don't know
yeah I care most about hearing footsteps and stuff especially for tarkov
hd600 isn't a very good headphone for gaming
it's not bad but like dt880 blow it out of the air if you care about gaming primarily
I'd be lying if I know of astros gaming performance or care about it but the headphones sound like ass
Hd 600 are good for gaming, way better than astro
Probably not the best but still really good
their imaging is not very clean
Btw I got the audeze Maxwell today and wow I forgot how much I didn't like closed heapdhones
lol
Yeah I feel like my old q701 was doing a better job
akg right?
Yes
isn't that k701
No there is the q701
is this different
But it's quite similar to the k701 I guess
It has more extension in the lower ends I think (the Q one)
It's been years since I didn't try and or possess both soooo memory is hazy
some akgs have mad staging and imaging
I gave the Q701 to my best friend which destroyed it over the years lmao
But he liked it so much he bought another one
im still not sure how to feel about the headphones themselves because they are a bit weird sounding
but their soundstage and imaging is mad
Yeah
does the q701 have a good bass extension or is it similar to hd6** roll off
More than the hd 6** from what I remember
But I guess there are plenty of frequency response curves out on the web
I need a pair of headphones for gaming and everyday use(when gymming walking about etc) so wireless is preferred. The budget is between 60-80 usd and will be bought from amazon
I love the second one, yellow not at all
What the heck
Are these ai generated headphones
Are you still gonna be making the normal verums
The verums 1's without the cat ears
Verums are owned by a racist. So no thanks. https://twitter.com/dms3tv/status/1445020789619761154?s=20
He also threatened to send anthrax to a reviewer who didn't like his headphones
jfc
☠️
Ehhhhhh
no headphone is very good for gaming
if you're so concerned about placement of footsteps and such, get iems.
there's where you're just wrong
TRUE
iem imaging is a legit cope
oh gee guys look unfiltered as fuck sound solely colored by the game audio engine
Headphone imaging is more cope than iem
iems literally don't have imaging you just receive whatever sound the audio engine saturates
yeah stuff doesn't sound like its behind you or infront of you
HD600 may have bad imaging, yes the DT880 are better at it. Even the best imaging headphones are barely better than the bad ones.
you just hear the saturated audio
have you even played games
why do pro fps gamers use iems
your iems or ears might be busted
and iems fucking shit in any source games
because audio isolation
and sponsorship
ask any actual esports player
this is what they will tell you
no that's what the headset is for
i find player positioning in tactical shooters a lot easier to quickly pinpoint with iems than open back headphones
that's just an additional layer
literally find me any evidence to esports players using in ears because of their superior imaging performance
you wont
because its a shitty hoax audiophiles made up
moving goalposts are we now
not how their gear works
nop
because you have hifimans
which literally don't have imaging
sundara and he400se has one of the worst imaging ive ever heard in my life
iems 4 gaming r life
compared to that saturation of the audio engine is better
but when you use something that images like mad, its not even comparable
iems fall so flat its laughable
you must have bad iems or subpar listening skills
imaging with iems in games, even csgo, a source game like you specifically said is bad, is very easy
not really
even with horrible iems like kbear ks2 i had zero issues finding players in csgo that other people couldnt hear at all
iems only work in heavily saturated games like r6 siege
okay and?
now you mean to tell me that
the average user.....
owns bad audio gear.....
wtf dudes.........
i cant believe kbears are better than razer kraken pros
@haughty girder cant argue with a schizophrenic audiophile tbf
you don't have an argument you are just throwing stuff out there
it's like trying to debate christians their brain just works completely differently
you have no basis to your claims either
you just throw overtly mentioned audiophile claims™️ at me expecting me to receive them
thats you gang
waffling about game engine saturation
good tuning + good isolation = easy imaging
simple as man it's not hard
no
we discussed this days ago with nils, you, and I
tuning is irrelevant to imaging
you can say it correlates a bit but its group delay at the end of the day
at least mostly
this is where i tap out because youre spouting blatant factoids
at least I can link my bullshittery to scientific terminology, you are behind in your claims that you can't even do that
it hurts because youre so close to the point
michael there will be a day when you realize there are other measurements that make up a headphone apart from frequency response
me when i get excited for an arya organic review but it's just a talking head waffling video
dms showed measurements for ananda nano but we’re still waiting for the organic
The fuck are you guys waffling about
Whether or not IEMs are good for games?
@molten lotus explain what happened pls
I said iems aren't particularly better than good headphones for gaming
michael and nexgen said that iems are good for games and thats why pros chose them
and I told them that isn't true and there is no basis for that, pros use them for isolation
i didn’t say anything about pros other than they often don’t know how they’re gear they’re using works
that wasn’t me agreeing or disagreeing with either of you
nexgen: iems have good imaging and work well for games
me: i agree
klaus: iems have terrible imaging
queue arguing about science and ad hominem
i don’t agree with nexgens point that no headphones are good for gaming though
i just find it easier to discern directionality with iems
you have hifiman stuff to compare it to
that's why I am saying you find it that way
Edition XS only good hifiman
iems so uncomfortable
you get used to it
These are pretty solid if you don't mind a wired gamign headset. https://drop.com/buy/drop-epos-pc38x-gaming-headset
Lots of folks in the audiophile scene like em. I think they're great, if that matters to you.
Hello
I am trying to buy a daily driver headphone with ANC
Never had the budget for a good headphone
now i want to buy a good headphone
I was thinking with going with IE600 but I've enough of wire problems
Now i have sony WHC510 i think
It sucks ass
Is there any good headphone which has a good very balanced frequency response
especially not very bassy
Over-Ear, On-Ear or IEM?
what are good budget earbuds? looking for a budget of like 10 to 30 dollars
KBears KS2s are pretty good
https://www.amazon.com/-/de/dp/B08CKG2JY4/ref=sr_1_4?__mk_de_DE=ÅMÅŽÕÑ&crid=LQMNXK0L8A4B&keywords=KBears&qid=1688168765&sprefix=kbears%2Caps%2C162&sr=8-4
The KS1s are decent to and a little cheaper
KBear KS2 Hybrid Technology BA + DD Earphones. It is the newest in ear monitor . It has dual drivers per side, include 1Advanced Balanced armature and 10mm composite diaphragm (PU+biological diaphragm) dynamic drivers. Reproduce the sound effects loyal to the original sound, bring exquisite charm...
those aren't anc
I am aware of that...I was thinking of getting those, just a thought i had cause they have good enough passive noise cancelation for me
over ear probably but won't mind on ear...
Because I'm going to wearing them for a long time daily I would like the quality to be very good. like the frame and connections of the drivers to the headrest and such
does sony make good earbuds?
What wireless headphone would you guys recommend?
Summer help please
In my opinion most bluetooth headphones you can buy today are kinda poo poo. I bought some beyerdynamic dt770pro 32ohm and paired them with a fiio btr5. The sound is nice and balanced and the btr5 is a versatile bluetooth/usb dac/amp with a built in mic to take phone calls. But: no ANC and it has a wire. For the price you are getting an amazing sound tho
Yh i feel the same that most headphones are shit...that's why I'm here. That is a nice solution with the portable amp/dac that way i can just buy an actual good headphone. but is there any other headphone that comes close to this but with ANC?! I have listened to some sony headphones but their frequency response by default sounds disgusting
That I don't know... hopefully someone else can answer that 😅
https://north-america.beyerdynamic.com/amiron-wireless.html
Those look pretty sick... (yes I am a beyerdynamic fan-boy lol)
oh nvm those dont have anc aswell -_-
well i just found this headphone with good sound quality and average ANC
Sennheiser Momentum 4
But thank you; I'm actually considering the portable amp as well
Happy to help
whats a good starter amp ? I am going to buy the senhizer hd6xx and want to see about an amp, although someone earlier told me I can use the apple usb c to 3.5mm with them
also is the on board DAC on my asus prime z390 good enough for them
thoughts on the soundcore life a3i? comparison to airpods in terms of reliability, fit, etc
They'll be functional but a better amp will always be better.
If you wanna get an apple dongle or a cx31993 dongle you'll get to decent quality. And if you hear a solid improvement, then you know what you've got to look forward to with a beefier setup
would something like this be a good starting option?
what are good headphones fo rmonitoring audio that cost between 50-100usd
could be used for gaming too
Uhhhhhh I would rather save up for something nicer from JDS labs, schiit, or topping.
Fosi audio is known for being very cheap
O so just get the Apple dongle and call it a day for now ?
Yes
Koss porta pro or AKG k361
For monitoring tho I would get some in-ears.
Is it even worth getting the hd6xx then if I’m just gonna use the Apple Dac? Rn I’m using cloud 2s is it gonna be an upgrade with the cheap dongle ?
Yes it'll be worth.
Good headphones are good. And good headphones being powered off a dongle are gonna be better than bad headphones powered off a dongle.
oh hmm
its just for monitoring audio while streaming through vmix for like a church setup
but i want to be able to game with them also
would in ears work well?
Yeah I’m just worried about the amp
Personally if I have in-ears longer than for a few hours my ears get kinda gross. So I would not use them for work. I've got some porta pros I use and they're very comfy and very durable.
Oh you mean work well for gaming
Yes they will
yh lol
Don't. I know a lot of people that use the 6xx with a dongle.
The 1 or 2 volts that your motherboard puts out should also be plenty of power.
what about the hd560s from senheiser? i see those have alot of gd reviews
Oh yeah. You said $50-$100 and they're like $120-$150
So If you can afford the 560s get those
My budget is 300-350 are the hd600s worth the extra money?
