They've been shamed out of existence?
maybe hes a master shitposter
he is legit mentally ill
he cuts apart like 80k worth of cables
That is insane thank you for showing me the insanity
i might have to check out his channel it seems entertaining
its pure insanity
straightened out coat hangers
All cables are discontinued and sold out! The new tweaks are more powerful than the old cables, get them here: http://audiophile.rocks
why does she look like that
she loves acoconut audio power cables
No no they ship.without a cable
could use that forehead to guide ships home geez
I open up the cables to remove the wiring and plugs to build better cables with the material.
Get new Hi-Fi tweaks here that give higher performance than the old cables: http://audiophile.rocks
this is sharur but worse
no he is schizophrenic
sharur shitposts but he's objective in his beliefs
this dude is either ill or a master troll
thats so funny though
it is funny
using the money others sent him to bring him to an audio convention
he bought ketchup and cables
how can you possibly even evaluate headphones at a show
especially open backs
with all that noise around you
and the company rep staring at you
i also think the same
plus who knows if theyre using eq
but id go regardless
Sharur is at least intentionally stupid
and they might only give you a curated selection of songs
this is sharur but real
id go just to handle shit for fun but i wouldnt go for purchase validation or anything
you can listen to your music
I didn't even know you could buy a million dollar audio cable
unless its like a huge speaker room
im not sure if he did
he also cut his arms once
claiming he fought a beast in a temple for crystals
which he used to make a cable
showed it in a video
can probably find it
i really think hes a master troll klaus
Wut
Ist anyone master trolls for that few views
i dont think trolls would create lacerations on their own arms
he couldve just shut off his own power or purposefully didnt pay for it for the joke
and lied about eating only ketchup
he is probably schizophrenic
he refuses to use any communication but mails
just check his channel man
if the dude is trolling he makes me look bad
you cant be a troll for 10 views a video
im the only view on his most recent video now
and be dedicated enough to lacerate his arms
scroll down a lot
He has a few with 100k plus views
his most watched is 59k
these are the biggest that i see
where he dissects the million worth cables
I thought the 59k one was 590k for some reason
Get Hi-Fi tweaks here: http://audiophile.rocks
yo mama
it wasn't a lie btw
tbh not only ketchup but
Good evening sir. Subtonic would like to speak about your order 😄
damn its the dude who permamuted me for spreading falsehood after stating sundaras and susvaras sound the same because they are planars
what brings you into this parts of the internet
Hello Racist but Doesn't Own Stax
How are ya?
I just said; Subtonic wants to speak to Shruikan about his order
the bill collectors are coming after shruikan

@modern barn what are you doing here this is low-fi only
i'm bored

was there a screenshot
@manic vortex dont run from the bill collectors
every time i see someone from a real audio discord in here i just assume that someone posted a screenshot
i hope ive been screenshotted hundreds of times
though its probably more likely grey being screenshotted
damn that sux
I finally got a new headset for PC gaming.
i wanna join a bunch of random audio servers to see which ones nils is in
mm i joined 4 and hes not in any of them
if only he listened more
MEAN
You know what else is rude
Not acknowledging me listener

hello audio tech channel i have audio tech question
it is my understanding that for long runs on quarter inch (50-100 ft) i would be susceptible to perhaps excessive levels of noise or signal loss. If i want to run a wire to a speaker from a mixer that only has a quarter inch mono jack for that output to a powered speaker up to 100ft away, should i just run it as quarter inch? My brain says convert to XLR but I'm not sure what converter or cable i should be getting to ensure its actually a balanced signal.
Hello - Does anyone have anygood sound profiles for the H3Pro Wireless please?
Boasting the NEO Supernano Diaphragm and Stealth Magnets design, HIFIMAN SUNDARA is the best Hi-Fi closed-back planar magnetic headphone at its price. HIFIMAN SUNDARA Closed-Back enjoys the hug soundstage as offered by open planar headphones.
Price drop to 230 euros
The reflections made in unlistenable for me
I ordered the fiio ft3
Time to review it
And return it if its worse than dt880
Turns out I pre-ordered it
It's not yet out
Ffs, so that is why nobody was talking about their experience with it
lmao
I took that shit of my head asap like it was some sort of d990
i took shit
the closed sundara is a horrible headphone nonetheless
fr nothing like closed back 6xx
Vs hd820, which would you say is better value?
which would you pick
Sundara closed, because both are bad and can’t be fixed easily, one is just 2k cheaper
yah true its a smaller loss with the sundys
Anyone got sugguestions for wireless earbuds? I've had airpods pro for the longest time but just broke my pro gen 2 last week and got an Pixel a year ago. I'm debating between the Pixel Buds Pro or the Sony WF xm4000 which are on sale for $200 (price for pixel buds pro)
$200 is the price I'm looking at with a little wiggle room ig
Don't want airpods again there's just too many annoying things that drove me nuts no longer being an iphone user
galaxy buds2 pro
I've been kind of leaning towards the Sony because one there on sale and arent the xm4 supposed to have the best ANC/sound quality or does that not hold true anymore
The Sony's also support ldac and I have lots of high res music
Also I really want google assistant not Bixby
820 fix is actually fairly simple
if I could get gifted either
I'd get the 820
because I can flip it for more
I said value, aka if you were to buy it yourself
Not gift
Oh
then I'd still go HD820
because they hold their value somehow
And at least they're pretty
the in ears or over ears?
How do I edit equalizer settings with Audeze HQ?
you uninstall it and install equalizer apo
Can it change the on-device presets?
yes
use it with the peace gui addon if you don't know what you are doing
makes it easier
Why is there two audio outputs? Maxwell Game and Maxwell Chat?
GOD what an awful UI....
Two different volumes for game and voice chat?
Afaik, win 10 volume mixer have that built in
And afaik, in-game settings nowadays does not even allow for selection of audio output device, they use windows default for all.
what of it
it has everything you can need
if having a good ui is having 8 buttons total in your screen then im very well pleased with eq apo not being that
Both In ear https://www.sony.com/lr/headphones/products/wf-1000xm4 and https://store.google.com/product/pixel_buds_pro?hl=en-US
I really want google assistant that's kind of a deal breaker tbh
isn't google assistant available on every in ear
And the Pixel buds would integrate very well with my pixel
The Sonys do support google assistant
well
The Galaxy buds use bixbi
My only concern is the fit with the xm4
Its flickery, It closes and re-opens the window whenever I click anything basically...
And extremely sluggish for anything except moving the sliders
sluggish?
its an eq program
you eq using it and leave it alone
and its the best one at that
Yeah, the window redrawing is slow because it re-layouts all elements as soon as you click anything. It has old windows UI artifacts all over.
Its not nessesarily the UI programmers fault, more like not properly handling the windows ui toolkit, or using a very old version of it.
For example, the "selection rectangle" that windows likes to draw around focused controls is sometimes there and sometimes not.
Its as if the UI designer/programmer did not want them to show but did not know how to properly hide them and did a wacky workaround. But enough of that, not Audio talk 🙂
Seems to work at least. Thank you :3

Also. Any UI is at least better than having to write configs manually
hey can anyone here vouch for Schiit audio's gear? I was looking for a new headphone amp/dac but I see very little reviews for the configuration I want, "Jotunheim 2/ess9028 dac card"
Its the main reason I'm not on linux. I hate non-gui configs.
Also, Peace has no recommended preset for Audeze Maxwell
if there is no recommend preset just make one
maxwell is already well tuned
Schiit audio is solid. I would advise getting the external modi or modius instead of the built-in DAC.
i would advise getting an apple dongle instead of a modius or modi

filthy sub 500$ schiit dac apologists
I pull out if it aint a burr brown dac
the jotunheim is a good amp but the built in dac that comes in any of the schiit modular devices is super poopoo
get it with no dac and use one externally like nils said
copped myself a sick discord tag
Oh no
They don’t allow - anymore sadly
Damn you got a good name
I wonder if that would qualify as an inappropriate name. Might be breaking some rule.
You saying anyone else mentioning you also gets auto modded? good to know 😄
@molten lotus
@molten lotus
:/
@molten lotus
I mean, Modius is fine mostly
Modi doesn't make as much sense outside of aesthetics which, it is pretty
but modius is balanced
and for that use, it's perfectly fine
for what fucking purpose would anyone need a balanced dac for 200$
That sounds like an apple dongle
klaus struggling to understand that some people just want a very well measuring balanced dac with good build quality for $200
instead of shopping for source gear based on pseudoscience
its pretty pog but it hurt my feelings a lot that magnius is only available in black
because i really wanted to be able to get a silver stack
Sandpaper is $7
🧠
for what does a well measuring dac matter if you can't hear the difference between it and the non balanced version
Klaus when he can't hear the difference between dacs
not between modi and modius i fucking cant
look guys i paid 200$ for balanced apple dongle
omggg
klaus should be in apple house sound
it is quite literally a schizophrenic audio server
ive never heard of modi being talked about in sg
i own the thing
its trash
local klaus mad that his dac isnt changing the sound (its not supposed to)
why would i buy a dac to have apple dongle sound
no i just like meaningful expenses
you are so close to the point
balanced really just means very very low chance of interference
and given the performance of modius, is justifiable
Apple dongle has interference issues
big time
you almost never have interference issues with regular dac single ended
unless you live in an electricity maintenance grid I don't see you having interference issues
The 2 inches it runs between the computer and the amp is critical
i have been messing around with my voice and some spectrum sound graphing app
these were the most interesting to look at
human vocal range for speaking is usually somewhere around 80-300Hz
EDIT: fundamental frequency that is, then the generally 4-6 overtones from that
what am i doing
you really think your voice is only one frequency?
oh ok i'll ask somewhere else
White fiio ft3
Looks sexy
Didn't find anything about it on fiio's website. This screenshot was found on a reseller's website
Anything white is usually a no go for gamers though
I need a tv furniture for my home theater
But i swear it's the hardest thing to choose
I have a denon avr x3700h and a focal aria cc900 for the center speaker
I was wondering if it would be neat to put the speaker on a wall mount
Thought on buds 2 pro new for 170 euros, 150 for refurbed? Normal buds 2 are around 90 euros.
Is there any earbuds that can simultaneously play audios from two sources? Two Bluetooth, or one Bluetooth + one 2.4ghz with a separate dongle.
anyone have some good quality cheap bluetooth headphones? for gaming
i don't wanna pay the 200 dollars for that one good headset cause it seems overpriced to me
Hi, I'm looking to purchase a mic for discord and in game voice chat for around 50 eur. I have the Razer Seiren Mini and the HyperX SoloCast in mind. Any suggestions?
forget bluetooth for gaming, too much latency
also headphones are hard to make, headsets with mics are harder to make, wireless headphones are harder to make and wireless headphones with mic and low latency for gaming are even harder
So yeah, there is a reason why it's expensive (or dogshit)
In my headphone sounds are inverted, if there is a enemy in right then I get sound from the left. I've been using it like this for 3 years now i need a solution. Does anyone know what to do?
The headphone works correctly when connecting to other devices, this problem is only when connecting to my pc, also my pc audio is working correctly when connecting other headphones. only this specific combination gives inverted audio
Idk why this is happening
Wear them backwards
I would look at the 7Hz Crinicle in ear monitors and a $20 lavalier mic. https://crinacle.com/rankings/iems/ is a good resource (he also does headphones), but generally wired are preferred due to latency.
Would this be the right place to ask for wireless lav suggestions?
I just got a sennhiesser drop pc38x headset
My pc is old and onboard sound card sucks
Looking for a decent usb sound card
Any recommendations the creative ones all I see in reviews is how garbage they are
why did like 70% of people on r/headphones vote to keep it closed
do they not understand reddit is losing ad money from having a free api
@steel escarpCause reddit has behaved in such a stupid/irritating way since the start of the issue that they've gotten a lot more people angry than originally were
wdym latency on headphones? like hte sound just lags behind or something?
lemmy passed 1 million users apparently
i wonder if reddit will fizzle out as users leave and moderation becomes difficult with lack of third party tools
good
why
i hope this results in reddit getting deleted
where am I gonna have to go for all the weird specific shit that random specific subreddits are build around
mental health institutions

apple usb c to 3.5
I want a white fiio ft3
fiio didn't respond to my inquiry about when the white one will be available
You should see whats going on in other subs
Many bluetooth headphones the sound will be slightly delayed
@white gate when is the fiio ft3 review coming xD
Don't have one planned atm
I see
I am very surprised they didn't send a white unit to Joshua Valour
If it actually exists
Grey you gotta take the L and realize that nobody cares about the fiio phones
But reddit relies on the users to survive.
If the major subreddits all shut down
the ad revenue goes down regardless
I want to fuck around with them
It's what I get enjoyment out of
if 25% of people use a third party app and 75% use the stock app, 75% of 1000 is still less than 75% of 2000, for example
it's a lose lose situation
but Reddit is losing more by charging that much for the API
because the users don't go there, and no users = no ad revenue
reddit can just kick the mods out or remove the ability to private the sub
That be stepping way too far
i agree but they can do whatever they want
Surely by that point the community with be done with it
and they will before they kneel to consumers
Are you saying that reddit is a money driven business and doesn't care about the end consumer as much as they pretend to??!
Noway
🤯
already in the works
pretty sure they created a moderator vote out system
Are they really?
yeah
went on the news
Thats fucked
Illusion of choice. I'm sure they won't stuff the ballets.
by how much
seconds? millaseconds?
best case scenario 30 or so ms, which is not super noticable. but thats assuming you're using aptx LL. if you're using a more normal bluetooth codec, its gonna be closer to 70 ms which is noticable.
if you're using bluetooth on windows, its gonna be closer to 150 ms which is just god awful.
how do i reduce the delay?
what is a aptx ll
im using a bluetooth adapter i got from amazon that has no delay on my controllers and mouses
it may have some but it's not noticable at all
yeah that's the thing. its harder to notice.
audio is different
you're so used to visual and audio being linked together. gunshots, explosions, punches, kicks, stomps, even running. your brain ties them together with cause and effect
if there's a delay, your brain disconnects them and it gets annoying
and delay is caused by hardware and the codec that the hardware has to use. sometimes you have bluetooth devices that have nice hardware and let you change the codec. its pretty much just a format of bluetooth communication.
ill try it out and if its bad ill just return the headset
amazon is crazy good
A basic clip on lavalier mic will get the job done if you want something cheap and easy
a fancier option is the antlion mod mic which is my general recommendation for converting headphones into a headset
👏🏻
anything past the mod mic is overkill for general gaming imo
I really need to find a good cheap lavalier mic to recommend to people
midmic is really bad
it sounds worse than lots of headset mics out there
we desperately need something like a modmic but instead cheap and actually sounds like a 3$ lav mic
What did u order
I checked with fiio and they did not plan to manufacture a white fiio ft3 or grey any time soon

give them my name
Why did they make a pic of it if that's the case
they will reconsider
Real?
yeah
So any lavalier recommendation around the same price tag ?
plug them into your headphones
any is fine generally
generally i can blindly buy a lav mic from amazon for sub 5$
and it will sound nice
placement, gain setting, and post processing will matter more than what brand of lav you get most likely
most come from no name brands so its difficult to follow which is which
klaus get 3.5mm adapters for your utws3
more opportunity for you to mod the original ones
why
so i can underdrive my every headphone?
utws5 has enough power for almost every headphone
does utws3 have significantly less?
utws5 doesn't have enough power for almost every headphone
it does
it does
mine has never clipped
and it has no noise floor with sundara even at max volume
which is unlistenably loud with no eq running
that’s a ton of power gang
as fuck
i don't want to or need to underdrive headphones
klaus explain to me how they’re underdriven if they can be ran painfully loud without clipping or noise floor
they do clip though
noise floor is normal to not be audible
they are meant for iems
yah
you do get noise floor with iems but that’s also well beyond the level you’d ever use them
and being loud doesn't mean they are driven well
you can make most headphones get unlistenably loud with 10$ amps
not the point
i don’t hear any quality loss compared to my amps
golden made a video on this
lofi ears
you are literally running them bluetooth too
my lofi ears that can hear 1-2db differences in eq
yet not in a lossy bluetooth protocol vs wired
and also can hear inverted polarity
i don’t use lossless music at all so that is probably why
bluetooth won’t matter for spotify
aptx adaptive is 280-420kbps
my bad i forgot utws5 has aptx adaptive
anyways its still physically not driven well
aptx adaptive is a game changer for real
go watch golden's video on this
if you don't want to take my word for it
he does a better job explaining the concept with graphs and measurements
i don’t agree with golden
you worship 0.01% measurement differences
yet when the dude brings up big differences in terms of driving headphones
with measurements at that
i dont agree
what
50mw is wayyyyy more than enough power
🙂
and the output is very clean
when i use my stacks i don’t drive the headphones any harder than i do with utws5
if i used flacs maybe there’d be a difference but in my situation using compressed music, watching youtube, and playing games; there’s no real quality loss
the only penalty is 50-80ms of delay which is imperceptible for me
the difference is objectively there whether you like it or not
you just can't hear it
this is not a 1% measurement
its a very obvious measurement
nah
you also forget that you can output 50mw
not necessarily 50mw clean power
your amp can physically output 50mw maximum
yah whatever it’s outputting is enough for both he400se and sundara
the chad utws5: no clipping or noise floor
the virgin schiit iemagni: has a mental breakdown if you run it on high gain with low impedance headphones
The sigma topping user : definition of perfection
The only thing that's not perfect is there speaker amp for something else than desktop use
They lack a bit of power imo for HT and big rooms
yeah the la90 is more near-midfield focused
it would probly be ridiculously expensive to make a 150w+ version that still has equal cleanliness
im not an amp designer so idk but i imagine it would be
I mean the la90 as a mono feature where it delivers more power but still
40w at 8 ohms isn't a lot AT ALL
wait what is this bridge mode
Apparently it offers way more power ?
Is that like when the pre amp is bypassed ?
it can do quite a bit in monoblock mode
yeah i saw that
But then you need a pre amp and 2 amps
So you go from 700eur to 2k quite easily
I was looking at buying one multichannel dac (topping dm7) and buying 3 stereo amps for my HT setup
But 40W at 8 Ohms isn't enough and using them at mono is too expensive
pretty sure it’s much more than 40 into 8
ah
It's super strange imo
seems like an amp youd want to use at 0.0000x% distortion 5w anyway
not as a high power block
oh yeah true
100db sinad vs 120
I never looked at the PA7 since i thought the la90 was there most powerful one
get a mcintosh mc2kw
lmao
5 watt class a amp > giga shit class D clean meme
use a bunch of aiyima a07s with upgraded power supplies
Just get 100db+ efficient speakers.
yeah just use three klipsch lascala for lcr
I have focal aria 906 @ 8 Ohms / 89.5dB sensitivity
My denon avr x3700h is at least better than those haha
that's ugly
U ugly

true

that’s cool looking
cope
Measurebating is for people that can't afford cool gear.
real
@molten lotus have you ever heard of anyone with near-field magnepans
Im wondering what it would be like if I put them on stilts.
be the first guy to do it
wonder how weird a speaker setup would look for me
just get nht super zeros
they’re sealed and don’t do anything below 100hz
and they’re small
They look crusty
no
ive never experienced planar speakers
no shops here have any to test
and all my friends are headphone gang
ur crusty
i have
oh wait not near field
Like at a desktop
There's the mini Maggie system which are crusty
I'm thinking like an LRS
Anyone have some good recommendations for wireless earbuds in the 50-75 £ range?
Thinking of getting a new pair
Guys, what are some good wireless earbuds for 100€? I'm looking at Sony WF lineup and the galaxy buds 2
but are they good
i mean
theyre a dirt cheap tiny speaker, they have some problems
but i dont know of anything thatd work better for you at that price
you could get something larger and buy some 100hz highpass plugs
best at under 800
can I eat u then?

why do they have to remind me so fast why I was not subscribed to them for the longest time until last week
I guess things aren't mean to be
how much are they gonna milk a headphone released in 2013
they must make some expecially good margins on that headphone on their webshop
2013 ? It's more like early 2000 man
@steel escarpIf milking/pushing high margin products was the aim, HD600 would NOT be high up the list
if not high margin in must be high volume
Not really
He made the video because he'd been using it a fair bit recently, there's no conspiracy
The hd 600 is just the most known and loved headphone ever made that's all there is to it
(I got two of them lmao)
It's super comfy
And yeah I'd never get a dt880 over an hd600
Well if you like it good for you I guess, still seeing content about the hd600 is fairly normal
it actually has okay bass extension if you get rid of some of the mid bass
330 euros for a hd600
Me when subjectivism
HD600 is a great headphone
It's expensive yeah, especially since you can find them used for 100-150€ but honestly? There is a reason they've been on the market for 20+ years and people still talk about it
it was below average on the ifi pro ican signature
maybe I need to have a long session with it to understand it
I cant describe how frustrated I am when people take their subjective opinions and present them as objective
You like the DT880
I get it
I am saying its price does not match the performance
its not a bad product, its a bad price
its 350usd?
yes
330eur is much more than that
330 eur is about 360 usd
Then explain why the whole community loves them still even at that price point
They lack a bit of basses, they are ultra super duper comfy and can be worn for hours and hours, they are durable, they have a sound signature that most like (slightly warm/and easy on the ears), they are super easily found second hand, they've been sold for 20 years and are super known
They are not the best yeah, but they are the point of comparison of the whole industry
I'd say that the community has gotten complacent
the reason I am not subscribed is because of Chrono
I'd say it's okay to not like them but don't think that your opinion is the truth everywhere
As I said they are not the best, but they are a staple and that's all
the guy who says HD820 is good
HD600 is technically better than HD650
i don't like either headphone but hd600 i like far less
HD650 is warmer
I heard a HD820 several times, it has gotten less bad over the times, but that could just be that the other closed backs I heard were so much worse
HD820 just has random holes in its sound so eh
For second hand there is an appeal since they are quite close, but yeah you're right
I usually consider them as only one headphones (i possess both), the slight differences do exist but it's still close
i just
I didn't say they were unlikable, this is a pointless argument.
cannot stomach the soundstage and layering of 6** phones
hd560s is nice, ill get behind it
yeah the stage was quite shocking if you daily drive edition xs
I don't even consider 6x0 an objectively good headphone...
I consider it a headphone for acoustic instruments and vocals and overall slower genres and the enjoyment of it
it ain't bad, no where near it
but it isn't exactly that "capable"
never had an opportunity for a good headphone tube amp
I'd like an open back headphones as comfy as the hd600 honestly...
I did love my akg q701 though
fuck the xs bro
its shocking small even compared to the sundara
no
i meant as in don't even mention xs, even sundara is a ton bigger in terms of stage
and the headphone is like 200$ cheaper than xs
i don't like the sundara but
I had it on for like 5 seconds and was not impressed. had no reason to listen longer
the closed one I took of after 2 seconds because my ears instantly hurt from their sound
Chasing stage is doomed for disappointment
stage shape yeah
if we are talking stage size impressions
if its equivalent to sundaras or above that's fine by me
as long as it isnt an aeon x closed
if it's better or bigger I'll be happy but it wont be the determining factor
is there anything that doesn't just sound wide and thats it? (HD800 be like)
not even wide, just distant
HD800 gives a sense of space by wrapping the sounds completely around your head but they are not distant strangely enough
You're asking for depth rather than width?
What's the best headphone you ever heard/owned ? Mine was a stax Sr 507
just sounds like I am listening to speakers 5 mountains away
Yeah idk what you're thinking grey. The hd800 everything sounds too distant.
Soundstage in headphones is overrated, if you want soundstage just go speakers
Pretty much.
If headphones sound like the singer is right against your ear, congratulations, that means they're accurate.
I only listened to "someone like you" from adele on the hd800 on the violectric v222. there were no distant instruments in the mix. just piano and a center vocal that completely wrapped around my head
so cant comment
I prefer focusing on technical performance for headphones since it's way harder to get it with speakers
But soundstage and physical sensations => speakers
at this point I either just want something portable, or save up for Susvara or find a HE6
Do you not have a he6
I think the valour pads of the dt880 are making the technicalities worse
too rare and too expensive for me who still has many thousands to spend on other things as well
it sounds like the driver is trying too hard to get the sound waves in your ears
priorities
if only idcompany was here, he'd be able to explain this stuff
Reduce your daily intake of olive oil to only 5 gallons
nah
I think the dr880 isn't technical at all anyway so eh
to be fair, I've consumed 30 bottles so far this year 🤔
so 30 litres
so like 5 litres per month?
Simple, extremely low sensitivity combined with high low end distortion is what you feel
Since it has low sensitivity the performance of you amplifier matters even more and adds even more distorsion if it's not super good
but can it run HE6?
it can run susvara
HE6 harder to run tho
I don't want anything to do with that device, I've only ever seen the worst peeps shill for it
Yeah it's not great
Well, mine isn't especially
But it's like. Okay for some genres.
i want to run susvara on my fiio utws5
I've over ever seen people in certain groups talk about it positively...
Yeah. Big meme.
Time bombs are the best memes.
I didn't run it off a ud501 and ta-86b so I guess I didn't get the full experience
how long until all HE6 are dead
hopefully not much longer
why
So people will stop talking about them
^
then they will just talk about how dogcrap HE6SE is
That's fine
It's okay to talk about how bad something is. Happens every day
But it's annoying when people say how good something unobtainable or extremely fragile and inconvenient is.
but it’s old and rare and cumbersome
Religious reverence for how things used to be better, audiophilr equivalent to old man sitting on his porch saying how he could get candy for a penny and how nobody blinked when he called them slurs.
😿
hd820 still better than a sony mdr-z1r
Sony looks comfier
when me and my friend heard the z1r we actually burst out in laughter
it was not good
yeah
it looks more tolerable than 820 though
my dt880 really has some pretty good bass extension
and I currently only got a damping factor of 500
you should get a rig so you can see what the mods you’re doing change
actually I could double that by using the single ended
I really should
but like
my denon ah-d5000 is not that good
for the money of a rig I can get a better headphone
it'd be super cool to see what mods do though
okay I doubled the damping factor
How much does it cost ?
I have a miniDSP ears somewhere but it's not that great and you can't measure electrical signals
the violectric v222 is 1200 euros
these are the amps sennheiser used to introduce their hd800 before they developed their own shitty in house amp
oh you mean for a measurement rig
the miniDSP should only be used for volume matching at most lol
you could get a rig for 800 euros
that is good
quoting Listener
People like SideSaladAudio are using a clone 711 coupler + clone pinna, total for everything would be around $800 but we don’t have a DF HRTF for that pinna yet so you’d have to go on the assumption that GRAS KB500x and KB006x share a DF HRTF
MiniDSP EARS doesn’t follow industry spec and doesn’t accurately model the acoustic impedance of the ear. In other words, p worthless IMO
I don't mean to interrupt anything but may I ask a question?
sure!
unless you need a bluetooth headphone for 30 euros
then no
oh I hit the nail on the head... he stopped typing
Nah
Its a different question
I am all ears
May you or anyone know of a very decent pair of headphones that has the option to connect via wired, bluetooth, and 2.4hz dongle?
what is your budget?
And also, are we allowed to send links here?
yeah
which devices are you gonna connect it to wirelessly?
any consoles specifically
These headphones are what I might get, but I was wondering if there is a higher quality pair that has all 3 ways to cennect just like these
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B09WQYXHJW/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?smid=A1R66Q58VL4GAC&psc=1

I'm talking about a measurement rig
yeah I noticed
Any and every device
and what is your budget?
$60 - $65
I'm dead, someone else help this guy
What would be a good budget then?
nothing wrong with the budget, but you need to manage your expectations
infinite, because it don't exist
what?
good wireless headset is already about non existent
I want one that can be wired and wireless
At this price point you should just go wired anyway
are there even good wired at 65, its mostly in ears and koss at those prices 🤔
I'd probably end up using them with just my pc and phone then
I mean, most of the budget spent on making the headphone will have gone to the wireless circuitry
Opinion on these?
No there are no good headphones but there are usable things at least
if you get one that is like 70 euros
Don't buy that
everything about that thing screems bad sound
music and voices aint gonna be pretty in any gaming closed back headphone
you get super boomy bass and harsh treble
Are there are no decent pairs of headphones that can connect wired and wirelessly?
audeze maxwell costs 400 euros
its a good closed back wireless gaming headphone
though the comfort of the earpads and build quality of the headband are a bit questionable at the price
the real shit is a good headphone with a clip on mic
Ah
they are not wireless though
Almighty Audio has never been more accessible, as the Arctis Nova 3 combines hardware and software to bring superior sound quality with High Fidelity Drivers, 360° Spatial Audio, and a 10-band Parametric EQ. AI algorithms guide the noise-cancelling mic to clear out background noise. PrismSync RGB...
less bad than I thought they'd be
Do understand that buying a wireless headset is not buying a good product but the less bad one
would not recommend for prolonged sessions
So it's hard to recommend anything
we are doing damage control at this point
the least horrible one*
"bad" is too light of a word
True
DT750 vs hyperx cloud 2, how big is the difference? Thinking of returning cloud 2s
I think I did see them as either a sponsor in one of Linus' vidoes or were reccomended by him
These ones I mean
Linus has no idea about audio
Arctis wireless headsets after the audeze Maxwell are the less horrible ones yeah
But Linus is not someone that knows a lot about audio
what the heck is a DT750
Headphones? DT headphones are well known bro
they likely are
Someone recommended them to me lmao
look up fame audio and you have 3 headphones... all of them look like a cheaper version of an already existing headphone, lel
and always with the letter the original also had
I am finding 0 consistency in their actve speaker and mic lineup
what the heck
do they just rebrand chineese stuff?
Any alternatives to hyperx cloud 2 (without mic is fine) that are considerably better?
At what price ?@spring gazelle
Like 70€
moondrop aria
Cloud 2 out here being good specifically because its not a gaming headset, its a rebrand with a mic attachment
Gaming
Watafak
Got the nekocake (black)
They fell in my toilet... 0/10
tfw
what cloud II is:
The cloud 2 are (honestly) worst headphones ive had almost
Hard ear cushion, small ear thingies, feels kinda cheap and uncomfortable
And sound isnt that much better compared to my old SGH3
about the best sound you gonna get in a device sold as a "gaming" headset
for those who want black and red because they want to feel "gamer"
instead of best sound for the money
gaming headsets are just a scam, lel
Sgh3 WAY more comfortable and feels very high quality, i do have to admit the hyperx have clearer sound and are a tad bass(ier)
Didnt like the look that much tbh
So back to my question, is that a no oooor?
if you want "gaming" on the box, not really at the budget
get the hd560s
over 2x budget
Dont care abt that, just mentioned gonna be used for gaming
otherwise IEMs at the budget
like a real gamer
honestly IEMs are great value for sound quality
Yeah but dont like the comfort
wired IEMs have very good imaging (directional sound)
just be like some esports players using IEMs under their gaming headset and just wear it like its an ad, not actually to use it
I have had some really bad comfort experience with IEMs
any stock IEM that comes with a phone
samsung, apple, whatever just name it
I haven't, because no IEM has ever stayed in my inhuman alien ears
IEMs have different levels of comfort too
oh yeah my mom has one super weird ear too
she cant wear airpods
I just can't use them because either the tips are too big or too short
only way I've had one stay in once is use it without the tips
Facts
just force the nozzle in without any tips
what...
@lean grove if the headset has a usb with it to connect it, would that still be a lot of latency
a wireless headset?
Ayo, do i use the hyperx soundcard or naah?
Yes wireless
2.4ghz usb usually has less latency than bluetooth
burn all soundcards
they deserve to die, they should've died decades ago
Nobody hear more than 15khz and if they do it's without any precision so it's no problem at all
overpriced garbage
And useless software
So dont use?
What if i prefer the sound with
A520 hvs
I have seen manufacturers like razor use an annoying pin layout in their headsets so you were forced to use their dongle if you wanted the mic to work
And hyperx cloud 2 soundcard
just go external amp/dac or dongle
Topping dx1s and you are good to go
they also use the anoying usb stuff for crappy virtual surround malware
Yes or no now
K, i will try it tho
get razer kraken v3
You'll probably don't hear that much of a difference anyway considering the headphones
10db bass boost
They look nice and are same price
soundguys
What u think abt kraken v3?
its right in the middle
trash
So much smoothing and what the heck are is that vertical scale
just bloated bass and dark
Whys that guy recommending it
10dB is insane and it looks so small on this scale
anything is better than bass so bloated its all you hear
He must be high
Hyperx sounds bloated af tbh
It has +10dB in the low ends, do remember that every 3dB you double the sound intensity (volume)
cloud II stock sound is pretty neutral
insanely bloated bass never is viable
Soundcard sounds better to me
unless you like headphones that sound like listening to speakers with water in your ears ofc
if you EQ all the treble after 5kHz down by like 5dB on the cloud 2 it would be okay
Grey just likes it dark
5dB peaks are unacceptable
you just posted something with 9-11db
I prefer a thin peak in the treble than my bass to make it sound like I have only a subwoofer
there is the K361-BT
109 euros for basically the best tuning you are gonna get
@spring gazelle get the AKG K361-BT
how much better are they bro
yh but idk if the better sound is worth it to me
the clarity should be a lot better
latency gonna be quite the thing for gaming tho
they are not wired, there is a non bluetooth wired version
the audio technica ath-m40x.
i found a pair at a garage sale with 3 cables and a pouch for $7.
This a good purchase?
ill probably use the hyperx for like 2-3 weeks and return em if i dont like them, in that case ima consider the other ones
hmm it will be a bit more compressed sounding
if only people were open go using IEMs
biggest issue with the hyperx rn are comfort
shi is horrible
makes me wanna put back on my sgh3s wtf
only by paper
5db ish for human hearing
when people realise IEMs don't make your ears heat up or apply pressure on the top of your head
tfw IEMs don't stay in no matter how many I try
crippled ears
I am an alien
I am basically slenderman but he drinks 60 liter olive oil per year
I think it's fine when it's "smooth" and not a succession of +3 -3 +3
My ears don't like deep seats for iems. My ear canal takes a hard left if I seat too deeply I end up with no sound in one ear.
just depends what you’re okay with
i hate whoever recommends hyperx cloud 2s fdnhwjanj ofbnhjiawoml f qajwüobjn
personally even a 2db difference in the ear gain region is annoying to me
gotta get that shit right
I prefer -30db at 80hz
goddamn monkey
s
Ill genuinly switch back to my falling apart sgh3s bc the hyperx are soahsnbyb
Technically yes. But it's not gonna be nearly as bad as Bluetooth.
Really it's just Bluetooth audio you want to avoid for latency.
Most other things are good enough
Alr thanks bro the headset came but I’m at work so I can’t test it until later
Anybody has done some room treatment?
Golden one has
I've done quite a bit
Too slow, old man
How old are you again
It seems awfully hard to plan out
I guess the first thing I need to do is buy a umik 1
But I have a mini dsp ears too, I don't know if it can do the work of the umik 1
It can't
25

that's rude
