Is this just for talking to friends on discord?
No
If I wanted to do that then a headset mic will suffice
the virgin klaus fears the chad optimum hifi target
Yeah it sounds good but after hearing the re320 and mkh416 don’t even know
They all sound amazing
there is no endgame for me because my tastes never stop growing
Like a fungus
i have reached frequency response endgame but im open to trying different headphones to have different fits and soundstage presentations
im still deciding on what iems and what closed backs i want
According to objectivists soundstage is stored in the frequency response
it's a mixture of frequency response, driver size and shape, earpad size and shape, distance from ear to driver, and a few other things as far as i know
but frequency response can absolutely affect presentation yes
i dont like hifiman dips because it deletes the center image for me
it makes vocals sound like theyre coming from the left and right instead of coming from the center
All of those things are frequency response.
Well, except driver size
But if you change the shape, the ear pads, the distance from the driver, all of those affect the frequency response.
then what is the reason that iems, headphones, and speakers have different soundstage presentations with similar frequency response
im not saying youre wrong i just dont know
it isn't frequency response
unless you are arguing that impulse response is also covered in frequency response
in which case you would be right
where are the frequency response and impulse response measurements of Klaus Ze Flammenwerfer
this entails I am not a fragment of your imagination
if you were a figment of my imagination then my mind is malicious
conjuring a personality that seeks only to sell me snake oil
Very good questions indeed.
¯_(ツ)_/¯
Tweet at Sean olive
Oh well speakers the answer is easy
HRTF as well as phase and room interactions
But how do you know that headphones and iems sound different? How do you know if something is overdamped?
Some people say that it's part of the frequency response and it's just hard to interpret
the thought i have about it right now is that even if the end frequency response is the same in your ear canal that doesnt stop the sound waves from interacting with different parts of your body first
iems only interact with your ear canal
headphones do your whole ear
speakers hit your whole body
very simple reasoning but it could be as simple as that
I've thought about that too.
That maybe the sensation of bass around your ear might play a role
Especially for infrasonic frequencies
Would mean that Skullcandy crushers are up to something
maybe you need to buy some crusher evos and set them to max whack
theres always been a demon in the back of my head telling me to buy them to try them out
I mean at the end of the day it's a knockoff
of the u47
but hey, a good mic is a good mic
wait so nexgen
If they were tuned better absolutely
what im hearing is that youll buy me moondrop variations?
theyre one of very few iems that dont have the bass shelf start at 250hz stock but i cant be arsed to spend $500 on in ears
wait a sec you want iems that have the bass shelf start further down?
like lower than 250
yeah id prefer if the bass shelf didnt start any higher than 150
thieaudio monarch looks perfect but it was $1000 and it's been discontinued for a while
yea that used to be my preference curve
Monarch v2 isn't too far off iirc
and Blessing 3 should also be close
mk2 does look close but id rather not spend more than around 300
i dont have a hard cap of $300 but i find it hard to justify spending much more than $150 on in ears
they just dont scale like headphones or speakers do
and theyre much easier to break or lose
if you're okay with weird subbass rolloff the Truthear Zero (crin) is there
also known to be bassy but have the shelf start late
they have arrived, time to compare to dt 770 pro
those have quite a bit of bass iirc
pretty sure the 20-50hz even tracks above harman
they should seem notably warmer than dt770
Oh the K371?
yeah
I don't think K371 is above harman
it was actually a bit darker than harman
at least modern harman
the bass is above not the treble
but theyre pretty close to harman stock
i mean thats what they were made to be
iirc K371 when normalized to 1k was on point with harman till the treble?
more subbass and more mid-upper bass it seems
hm
wait
That driver mismatch
yikes
if he got one of the early units then rip
he'll probably like them
?
was it a shure headphone
nah sundara closed
that weird bass was why I thought it was that thing
abyss cant make anything
they can make weapons
like truth be told they're actually made really well
unlike hifiman...
my sundaras arent immune to hifiman qc although i give them a pass because youd never notice it stock
lmao
if you eq mine to harman bass and play a bass heavy song at high volume you can hear a loose screw in the right driver
at least that's what it sounds like
oh jesus
what is that
Something from Sony
mdr f1
oh it's
ksc75 with a headband
that makes so much more sense
very unusual design
yea they were called ear speakers
last time I heard that we were discussing akg k1k
what's your preference curve for OE headphones?
and on the opposite of the spectrum... guess who made these
Harman 2013 with a bit more bass
ive been using oratory's optimum hifi curve today and i think i like it
which is harman treble with linear bass
i listen to almost exclusively modern music genres though which dont really need a bass shelf
i can see why people who listen to rock/metal like harman bass
yea
does harman 2013 have different treble than the current curve
anyone here familiar with equalizer APO?
yah eq apo is the goat
the units in the equalizer option, they are in decibels right?
yes
alr
peace just seems harder to use to me
my screen isn't big enough
so harman 2015?
max bass boost for vibrations?
RGB or just R
gaming mic?
a mod?
or what
I modified it 🙂 added 8 RGB addressable LEDs, going to set them up as a mute signal / VU meter
Most sensible reason for an RGB mic lol
Also what mic is it? You sure it's end address or side address?
is the samson q9u a good mic choice for usb?
yes
just don't use it stock, always have presence boost on
how's interference tho
running a constant 3v around an electret capsule doesn't seem like a good time
Alright, question time. After building a new pc, anytime I put a load on it I get an awful buzzing and interference noise on my headphones. They are KZ ZNS Pro X's with high sensitivity and low impedance (112db/mw and 25 ohms). The hissing comes from both the front and back panel audio. as well as monitor passthrough and a razer USB adapter. This was not an issue on my previous pc (at least back panel). Any ideas on how to fix? Or, budget amp, DAC, or combo units that will fix the issue.
does your case have a usb c port
the razer adapter still having noise is weird but it might just be a razer moment
although i don’t know if an apple dongle would help seeing as you said a razer branded usb adapter has the issue too
move your audio cables away from other cables and electronic devices as much as you can
Let me double check another pair of KZ headphones I have, they have a slightly less sensitivity of 106db/mw and impedance of 16 ohms. KZ ate's. The buzzing is still there, but less so. (sensitivity). If I set up my back panel as headphones, it makes the buzzing louder so I have it set up as front speakers
Yeah, with the headset that came with it, no noise, but they have a sensitivity of -45 +- 3 db @ 1kz and 32 ohm impedance
Case, no. Motherboard, yes
I've tried moving the cable around to no luck, front or back. There's a limit to how far I can get it away from the back cables since it still needs to plug in. I have the rest of the cable sitting in my lap rn and still hear the buzzing
Some gpus can flood the PC with dirty electricity
Minecraft with BSL shaders is the worst offender when it comes to noise I found. Other games have it but it's just so noticible
get an apple usb c to 3.5 adapter
try that
if it doesn't work you will need some sort of power filter
Now, an apple specifically branded one or just any usb c to 3.5? I tried this already. https://www.amazon.com/Smof-Isolator-Speaker-Eliminate-Completely/dp/B0171PQLB8/ref=sr_1_3?keywords=smof+ground+loop+noise+isolator Not the most quality but it didn't get rid of the noise. It just made it less in volume but still very audible
either an apple branded one, or one that says it uses a "cx31993" chip
the apple one generally stands out from other dongles
here is one for example: https://www.amazon.com/Adapter-♪Hi-Res-Lossless-Headphone-CX31993/dp/B0B5L5ZQBN/
Yeah, seeing as I'm returning the other thing I bought for the same price, It'll even out. Can't return the apple one because I don't want my amazon account to get banned 0-0
You don't get banned from amazon like that
too many returns in a short period of time can do that. This would be my 3rd return in about 2 months if I had to return it.
that's nothing
you need to return like 20 items in a week for that to happen
I have a mate that works in amazon that isn't how they operate
Hope so, because it's not my account I'm using 0-0
And almost everyone gets a warning at most
There is this person in the country I live who is famous in amazon support
She has singlehandedly caused 2 million dollars of damage to amazon with exploiting returns
They haven't banned her
Tho she did have like 130 accounts
(all with the same address)
Should I get one
For my pc and amp
to clean up my power
do you have noise?
oh btw I figured out where the buzzing came from in my amp
the buzzing that happened at random intervals
apparently the amp uses the RCA interconnect for grounding
without it connected via RCA the noises occur
interesting
my gladiator cable interconnect does not work nice with ifi products
is the rca single ended
lmao
😹
my mind is all over the place today
😹
😹
if I plug it in all the way it shorts
whuh
I have to pull the 4.4mm out a bit
I have a breadclip permanently between there
bro ifi stuff
idk
antonio now uses different 4.4mm
because ifi weird
he is well aware
oh hey look Andrew Robinson is fear mongering about chinese class d amps
his new 4.4mm does work with ifi stuff
not surprising
which chinese class d amp?
all of them
lmao
lol
hes fearmongering
making people fear class d's fast development?
talking about be careful about buying them because they sound bad and can destroy your speakers
its his most recent video
TWS with construction headphones with really strong clamp&seal over them

then ducttape the headphones to your head for extra assurance
ifi be charging 100 euro for their bullshit interconnect
man fuck 4.4mm
for interconnects at least
I'd almost just sell this bullshit dac and get one with dual xlr out
wireless doesnt work underwater
this is literally a $1 cable
yeah
grab a powered usb hub. But question: does it go away when touching something grounded ie. your pc case
I refuse to solder 4.4mm connectors
because if you heat them up a bit too much they die after a week of using them
or instantly
snooooooop
inb4 he realizes he doesn't need to buy expensive first party cables
ok, just a thing - someone knows how to fix jack in a laptop? i checked, opened and still idk why it doesnt detect headphones. like it isnt dirty (either inside and outside), headphones are working with phone so their not bad... i dont want to be forced to move audio over wifi to vlc in my phone ...
laptop is ways after guarantee so screwing everything can be too (did it earlier few times too... smh i know its clean inside)
guys is there any browser addon or something that can switch stereo audio to mono? i am listening to podcasts and there are 2 guys and one guy voice is in my right headphone, and other dude voice is in left headphone
i hate effects like that, is there any way to disable it?
the highest score ive gotten
now to wait a full like bajillion years for single corr
perhaps you're looking for the #overclocking channel? Or anywhere other than #audio-tech lol
tech chat is in #tech-chat-1 and #tech-chat-2 , not in #audio-tech ...
well.. i am having hoards of lags and freezes and smh i dont mistake...
#tech-chat-1 was visible...
i switch between them alot
next time use pc..
i didnt notice because im lookin at keyb not channel name
🤦♀️
Rip realtek I'm assuming
who
no, its more physical problem. im thinking something on audio card or even motherboard...
this thing. i tried every software including even windoze
and im thinking if its ever fixable
me but that question actually was on #linux :)
asked
yep
but they moved out of topic and in between i updated kernel...
we'll see anwyay
i think there is a language barrier
for now thinking more of fixing that jack
i was trash talking mate you don't need to answer me
||tbh im polish. ban me cuz of that. i dont care||
mods I found a pole
sounds like some connection is broken
anyways its an easier time getting something like an apple dongle
costs 9$ and is better than almost any laptop output
15$ if no usb c
more of bluetooth headphones but now im having one and they scream battery issues too loudly so i dont use...
apple usb c to 3.5 adapter is what you need
if you don't have a usb c port then a usb A to usb C adapter > apple c to 3.5
more of usb2.0 to jack. had but inverted with men usb and men jack...
but i have 1 usb c port and 2 ports of usb 2.0
- slot for sd card (useless info, ik)
if its a free port then you can use the adapter
if it isn't then you can get an adapter to connect the adapter
none are free.
its like 10$
it will be less expensive than fixing up your laptop's jack
given you have to replace it
one 2.0 is for mouse cause i also draw. and on second 2.0 i have pandrive with swap
that leaves one free port
usb c which i tend to use for mirroring screen from phone on laptop...
all filled
sd card also inside
well then your only bet is going to a tech repair shop
unless you are going to take your chances of soldering another 3.5 connector
if you will find rj-45 to jack then you will be best one
drawing with a mouse?
people do that yes
||my mother was somewhen doing in electronics...||
ye
hope at least mouse accel turned off
drawing with a mouse is difficult
pain
and i enjoy
i can make you a pfp if ya want yet today
really now
draw klaus their waifu
almost, yep, just that i dont have ur pic
can you redraw my profile picture
k
in mspaint
pretty epic
mspaint is honestly fine for a lot of things...
i run linux
just not for the "paint" part
if you want to redraw stuff hit us up in our scanlation server we need cleaners/redrawers lmao
its the people who translate manga
translation but you scan first
so scanlation
though people don't do much raw scanning these days
the name stuck
klaus is manga artist confirmed
nah but I do help my group scanlate some
so...
have em draw your waifu
ai upscaling time
AI upscaling: 5 extra fingers coming in
it works surprisingly well actually
upscaled this yesterday for a poster, really clean except for that off texture near the filter
upscaled poop?
another upscaled poop
let me process this hang on
are you posting selfies?
scp96's face got filtered by discord
take that
i was expecting something else but you know what that's great
(quick version, normally i shade also borders)
some youtuber?
anyway - going back to jack. no ideas? or tutorials to check for bugs ?
no it was sarcasm don't mind it
its basically some creepypasta that kills you if you see its face
why would someone copy pasta
its poop
lol. but anyway
make one at 5120x5120
jack is a problem which need fix
will try later :)
go to a pc repair shop if you don't know what you are doing
you will mess up something most definitely
especially that it's a laptop
your best bet is an external audio jack like what we recommended you
just buy a desktop, a portable display, and a portable dac/amp combo
not only you recommended tbh. i was asking in hoards of places already...
now i know why
selfie?
nah
i think internet image hosts have issues processing images higher than 9x9k res
is that a mirrored N or an H?
russia being lazy, and just slightly editing english
so true
or well, not english, but you know what I mean
I don't even know what it is called
no schooling

don't know useless trivia, didn't go to school
alpacabath
when are you buying HE1?
you can't just
make like the
utmost worst comment in the world
then change the subject
be more ashamed
but I just did
what was terrible
what was
what's so bad about it
why tho
I am just speaking a language far above what you humans understand
anyway, when are you buying HE1?
would you buy a HE1 if you had 5 mil
hmm
id need to demo it first
id definitely buy a pair of susvaras and k1k
and a good chain to go with it
what I think: its good, but its boring
you listened to it?
yes
impressive
what would you do with 5 mil even, excluding audio
buy some land and build a house?
do so investments probably
and house
nothing fancy
build a good setup with my money
buy alcohol
I would probably just buy land and build a house for 500k total
2.5mil to just not having to work
and the rest for buying stuff
you should become a model or smth
maybe my car
one sitting on the car posing
then just marry the car
go on vacation with it
and so on
honestly, would you kiss a hot car?
if its hot enough to harm me then no
what if it was your fav and it became yours if you did while it was boiling?
sure
how about marrying it?
what is this conversation trying to establish
lel
even the dude from lmg is confused
wonder what they would answer
trading your lips for kissing an extremely hot car
chatgpt becoming people's second wife
wut ?
idk
too
is there anything i can do about the behringer xenyx q802 usb phones noise?
no
any interface with a somewhat low price?
how low
basically https://www.imdb.com/title/tt1798709
Apparently it struggles with math
But it can write essays
May or may not have used it for an essay
5V, and the interference of the voltage is actually not too bad, but the signal makes it pop 😄 - so every time a packet is sent you get a pop. This is mostly because the wiring is inside the mic chassis. I am going to wrap it with some foil and see what that does, and then obviously have some more options if that doesn't work that well. If it comes to it, I'll use some perspex or something to transmit the light from further away.
I got a mono rca for my sub, now it thinks that the sub is a right speaker and refuses to output correctly
I mean, I had the 3.5 to double rca but my sub only has one input, aside from manually stripping the cables.
So now when it's plugged in, the desktop speaker's right output falls dead, but when it's unplugged everything functions normally
Any suggestions?
Maybe I should've gotten a bigger motherboard so I could install a sound card
I suppose I could just get a USB sound card
pcie sound cards are pretty lame
What sound card would you recommend?
how much do you wanna spend and do you need 5.1 or just 2.1
2.1, like under $30
i have nothing to recommend other than get usb 5.1 surround sound box and look for the one with the least amount of 1 star reviews
what sub is it
https://a.co/d/bNktKNY is this a good cheap solution to sound treat a room? Trying to sound treat under 100
it's your floor carpet?
Yes it is
I have carpet floor, bed, and curtains to absorb most sound
these tbh are better for looks than anything else
I am in the process of getting a different mic I currently have an xm8500 and a sm58 and they both capture sounds that are outside
how close is the mic to your mouth
3 inches away
sound treatment won't block outside sounds from getting in....
Nvidia broadcast is a blessing however it cuts audio
It'll just reduce the amount of reverberation within the room
And I feel like it slices up the top end
I will still use nvidia broadcast even with a treated room just not on max like what I have right now
if you're at like, 20% does it still capture outside noises?
also yea common misconception : Sound treated room ≠ sound isolated room
If there’s a tv on downstairs you’ll hear it faintly
it is what it is
Yeah
you can't stop that
Treatment isn't gonna block outside noises tho
Obviously without spending a ton of money though
the issue with most houses in north America is the walls are literally made of paper
by NA I mean Canada and USA
Can’t do anything about that 💀
Exactly
the best way to isolate a room would be the build another room inside of a room
when you sound treat a room, it's to prevent reverberation from affecting the sound
it's not magic
It won't block outside noises
stuff like those panels are almost purely for aesthetics
could this one do? https://www.amazon.com/StarTech-com-7-1-USB-Sound-Card/dp/B002LM0U2S/

Oh I get it
It’s tough
they're pretty much all gonna perform the same with some difference in build
i would personally try and go for something simpler so there's fewer reasons why it would break
I didn't know @unique wind posted on reddit
Sundara
you would have to make it, just use some solder and seal connectors that are the right diameter
as I think the ground is shared on a stereo RCA cable that you buy so if you wanted 1/-1 2/-2 , connectors -1,2 being ground seperated, you would have to solder it yourself, but if all you care about is the unbalanced positive + signal then any standard cable from the amazon should work
why would one think ROG makes good audio
they make the most edgy zoomer targetted designs
and it costs like 200$ish
lmao
btw i didnt buy it, i take it from my friend to try it
Price have little to do with sound quality, especially for gaming headset
I bought a 70 euro interconnect for my dac an amp 💀
now I just need the 200 euro power conditioner
You also need that weird DIMM thing Linus showed to condition your power even more
i didnt mean that lol
there is no reason to sell this shit headset from 200$
only reason is because its rog
Xd
I currently have a behringer xenyx q802 usb and the phones noise is driving me crazy so what should I switch to?
Hey guys, I've recently built my first pc (FX8320+rx580, 16gb 1600mhz ddr3)
But I've encountered a problem when trying to play warzone with a controller, I cannot get the in-game voice chat to broadcast my voice to friends, I can hear them fine and hear all game audio
I've tried both the PS4 ds4 pad(wired and via Bluetooth) and a wired Xbox one pad with my turtle beach recon 70's plugged into the pad and also a different headset with split cables for the mic and audio plugged into my front IO
The pad headset and mic shows in my audio panel and as an option inside the COD settings but everything I've tried has failed
Hoping someone might know a solution
Thanks
Literally joined today and I think this is the best channel for it. I believe there should be a review video on these puppies:
https://www.dyson.com/headphones/zone
Yeah, that's right, Dyson headphones. But wait there's more, they're an air purifier too.
Hi I have a friend whose birthday is coming up, we're thinking of getting him a new set of earpieces since hes using some pair that came with his phone, does anyone have a recommendation for a pair with a decent enough mic thats around the 100-120USD price range?
do u think this a good budget mic
USB Computer Microphone Kit with Mute Button, Tripod Stand, Pop Filter, Shock Mount provides excellent Audio Quality and Guaranteed Service! i got no mic at all
an air purifier headset that doesn't seem to be real and no one would want to wear outside and when inside they could likely just buy a proper air purifier
is this sarcastic
You know it's a good mic when it's product name is "Computer Microphone"
i think theres some fifine stuff for around 30$
Most definitely
The product is real but the braincells of those who purchase the product not so much
I used the windows audio recording and it picked up everything
That was through the gamepad too
I am not surprised mic doesn't work over bluetooth but xbox wired controller is weird
That should have worked
Maybe try playing around with drivers?
Everything is upto date according to the auto updater program
I mean Tommy Hilfiger gear got reviewed, for better or worse, why not this too? Content is content.
A joke
you know how some amplifiers you can't turn the volume knob past 9 o'clock without it getting too loud
headroom in gain makes you feel like your amp is more powerful and its supposed to impress you
I added negative gain to my amp and now 12 o'clock is a reasonable listening level
ykw that remind me of focal headphones
but now the dopamine from being able to blow up your headphones at any given point if you were to accidentally turn it up too loud is gone

Praise the maker and His water
Praise the coming and going of Him
SHAI HALUD!!!
Looks like something I’d enjoy
looks good
if the xlr and 2.5/4.4mm (can't tell) is balanced
you're going from balanced to single ended
its a 4 pin xlr
which can damage amps
3.5/4.4mm swappable plugs, 3.5mm to 6.35 adapter and 4.4 to 4 pin xlr
Oh!
I see it now
Yea that'd fine
which means they have pins inside the connector
3.5mm just joins the two grounds
ik
$250 Haram headphone
Interesting
a less copium HD6XX perhaps
bait someone from sg into buying it
ill hit up nyvo
why lmao
I told wayne I took speaker advice from someone from audio metropolis to annoy him
he said he lost all respect for me to aura and banned me
@molten lotus
lol
also nyvo was constantly up my ass saying I should quit my job and find one that pays more or else he'd ban me
like who do you think you are
What the actual fuck
pretty funny
That’s the most discord moderator sensitive bs I’ve ever read
you can't argue with narcissists
I found that most moderators have this personality trade
you can argue with narcissists
you cant win an argument
just be a narcissist yourself
they will deny the truth or ignore it
literally can't get through to them
they stone wall you
ignore you
take everything as a personal attack
Every hobby I have is full of those people it’s annoying as hell
when I talk to someone and notice they are the sensitive type that gets offended easily and is impossible to argue about
Gaming? Cars? Audio? Art? Elitism and bigotry
that is just a narcissist
I just learnt to give up
they are not worth your time and you are literally feeding them, best you can do is ignore them
just kill them
if they respect you/hold you in high regards, then you can get through to them
same with a sadist
that isn't how sadism works
who is antonio
Yeah this is way beyond my knowledge

that isn't what a sadist is
gladiatorcables dude
he gifted me a free cable
cool guy
a sadist is someone who derives pleasure from others getting hurt or controlling others
controlling others? no
most of humanity has some sort of mental complex bro
its not like people are going out of their ways to torture you because they are sadists
or sadists are going out of their way to torture you
oh he makes chonky boy xlr cables
that's like saying a 5-11 worker is a masochist
i wanna know where Z got his ridiculously thick colored xlr headphone cable
hartaudio no?
i dont know
of course now i can’t find it
but it’s a comically large colored xlr cable
where chassis
it broke
like each twisted wire is finger thickness
this thing broke
so chassis couldn't be connected
the ring is held on there with a solder connection
there is a tiny amount of tin under there
if you heat it up a bit too much by accident while soldering it won't hold out for long
mine instantly broke after plugging it in after replacing my old 4.4mm where the ring gave out on after a few months
How hard is it to remove this ?
it came with the boom mic, and i hate these anyoing boxes, they have the mute/sound buttons but should be easy to just cut the wire on both sides and link them no?
it is a usb or a 3.5 item
if usb, don't touch it
if 3.5 then yeah you can dissect it
3.5
iam trying to test if i lose quality with new cable mic with boom
vs the stock
whats good sound guality studio headphones (better than epos h3) and i use for music listening and gaming
budget 100$/100€
what is best gaming/music/studio/sound engineering headphone with Bluetooth and mic, noise cancelling and netflix build in
budget
3 euro
rocks and sand

shove both on the ears
i think they are better bcs senheiser
my epos h3 are also senheiser but costs only 100€ and good microfone is included so i think they dont put that good parts to gaming headsets
i went from hyperx cloud alphas for hd560s and they are way too good for gaming/music
they are one of the best for gaming, i got a boom mic with it, but if u are US check pc37x they are similar do hd560s but with mic
this headset is so good after EQ
Akg earbuds that are included with the s8 and s9
unironically not bad at all for essentially free
yeah still lacking soundstage tho but if you're happy with it, then so be it
there is better though
yes, its a bit claustrophobic
that is the most random eq ive ever seen
is the scarlet solo a good choice?
no
good choice for buying a bad product
but its good
ofc betters are already exist
because its a dac and a mic input in one device?
its just bad compared to what you can get
what can i get
both i can imagine dont have noise in phones like i do?
Salnotes Zero or Wan'er $20 I use HE400se also at $109 from Hifiman. Honestly from first impressions on the wan'er they are quite honestly phenomenal for the price.
if its wired noise, it shouldn't have audibly high noise
thats the werid thing i only have extreme white noise on phones with my q802usb when its plugged into my pc else i dont have close to zero
usb?
"behringer xenyx q802 usb"
what's an excellently built and infinitely durable wireless headphone with zero latency and a ten year battery life and perfect sound quality? my budget is 10 US dollars @molten lotus
me
save up $160 so that you can pick from two headphones that are dramatically better than <$100 options
sennheiser hd560s for open back
akg k371 for closed back
it's the tuning is very safe
no. Arturia minifuse 1 is a better buy at less cost and more performance
Whats a good speaker set thats >$100
Wireless? Bookshelf? Bluetooth? Details
Im gonna be making a more permanent setup, and a want some good speakers to go on my desk. They dont need to be wireless, but bluetooth might be nice. Also a subwoofer to put under my desk would be nice but idk if thats out of my price range.
does anyone have any Berringer x 32 tips and tricks for vocals mixing
Are there any good alternative headphones compared to the HyperX Alphas?
Is the tuning safe or good? Because I would feel that pleasing to the ears and good detail would be considered good tuning.
Try the Salnote Zero and the Wan'er before you bump up to $100
ok
$40 in and someone here can correct me if I'm wrong but I believe the general consensus is the Blessing 2 ($300) is about the best you can get without going up to the Kilobuck range
Well, Salnotes with the mic cable....dunno about the sound quality on the mic but it's functional
What? there are plenty of good iems below 1000
Also don't get those, sennheiser has two good iems, IE200 and IE600, everything else is dogshit
Hey Audiophiles!
I'm an industrial design student and this semester we have a project to design audio solutions/headphones.
For my concept I want to maximize repairability and make it so you can replace a lot of the components easily. Currently I'm trying to find competitor headphones that can replace the whole Driver and cup but after some hours of search couldn't find any. Does someone here know if there are just no products with this function on the market or are they so niche that I couldn't easily find them yet?
Thanks for your help!
For repairability, go with a sennheiser HD600 or the like, everything can be taken apart and put together with no tools
Thanks, so far I can see that it's easy to replace the drivers and some parts of the casing. Can you replace the rest of the casing and the connection to the head band though with these?
Like the driver housing?
Im assuming yes
The headphone is quite friendly to repairs
yeah the housing and the hinge towards the bow/head rest(?)
For my concept I want to make a connection above the 2 axis allignments so there are no complicated quick release connections inside a rotating connection
I don't think the sort of modular headphone want to make exists
That's good for my project but makes it harder to think up solutions from the ground up or see what I don't want it to be 😄
Though I found a 6 year old LTT video about modular headphones from AIAIAI
Hi,
i have a Pioneer VSX - D514 at home and i cannot find any specifications about using headphones on it (mostly for impedance)
is this something to worry about or is it basically impossible to run into such issues
currently running off of my scarlet solo but i don't think i can get away with that when i buy something like a sennheiser hd 650
speaker amps generally have god awful headphone outputs
since the headphone outputs are generally just an afterthought
even modern ones
try using the amp with the hd650 but the odds are it wont sound better than your scarlett solo
what are the differences? on paper i cant see any
You could also take a look at the teardown of the moondrop venus. The fidelity may not be as good as the HD 600 but the repairability seems to be quite good.
Generally speaking, trying to design a method where the entire cup can be replaced will end up with significant compromises particularly in the durability of that point of attachment.
A better approach would probably be to have the driver itself be easily replaceable, rather than the whole cup
Nothing stopping me to do both. The work is to match all this with the design vision I have for them
Moondrop seems to have gotten it.
components and drivers
If you look at a spec sheet they wont have meaningful differences
as with most audio items
it's very good
it's not particularly detailed
but it's as good as it grts for 20 bucks
are the dt770 pros good for PnC
i have the dt 770 pro's
they are fine but i do wanna upgrade them. i want open backs so i can hear my mom yell
often i am in a game and dinner times are a guess here at home 😅
feel you, but I want completely the opposite, I wanna block out as much outside noise as possible
would you say they're good at that?
yeah they are closed backs so they will ofcourse block sound way better
i can hear my keyboard ofcourse but only when no sound is playing
would you happen to know if they're better at blocking sound than say a pair of ATH M50X
well i cannot personally judge that ofcourse
i have never had them on my head
but i will most likely be upgrading to a sennheiser hd 650
bought the dt in december 2020
well, sennheiser knows their stuff so I'm sure you'll be pleased with them
they looking a bit worn yeah
supposed to be white greyish
i mean i've been wearing them for the past 2,5 years
through covid all day with school
gaming
yeah
pnc?
both m50x and dt770s are pretty bad
but they do block out better than the better sounding closed backs
like k361/k371 and emu teaks
which sound a lot better but block less
I need some headphones with good sound stage and are really good at blocking out sound
Passive noise canceling
why is n not capitalized
doesn't exist
also there is no such thing as passive noise cancelling
if it's passive then it wouldn't be noise cancelling
"Passive noise isolation (PNI) or cancellation is when your headphones, earbuds, earphones, or in-ear monitors naturally block outside noise."
Well isolation then
anyways
what you asked doesn't really exist
you can get headphones that are closed back and are better than other closed backs in terms of staging
but even than every good closed back that's cut above the rest has noise isolation issues
So basically, either I have trash sound staging but they block out noise well, or I have good sound staging but shitty noise isolation
sort of
hi,
I got an laptop with an audio jack output, and I am looking to transmit the sound to a tower, that takes RCA, I got 2 real options
1, a cable with a splitter
2, somekind with Bluetooth to RCA
my laptop has a kind of reputation with audio, when its under load, and I am afraid that it will go trough the cable,
so what should I do and do any of you more Ideas?
that's generally why good headphones are open back
same thing for closed backs
less closed back, generally more natural sounding
there is little benefit for audio when you turn cans into echo chambers
wdym under load
gaming or rendering imgaes in blender,
and resetting a audio setting in windows resolves it
tf
get an apple usb c to 3.5 adapter
and 3.5 to rca splitter
you can also do bt to rca if you want but generally windows bt drivers and cheap bt receivers are really awful so its your call
I think that a splitter is cheaper, XD
so I am going to try that first,
but when it fails, don't go cheap on Bt recievers I get form the message?
money isn't really the only factor that affects bt quality
but generally more you pay better product you get
unless you have a mate who uses a decent bt adapter and knows about audio which can recommend you a good bt adapter
its generally better to play it safe
I don't know really anybody who has the same challenge as I do
so I went to ask here
any bt 3.5 adapter will work with a 3.5 to rca
but yeah I don't know what bt adapter to pick out in the market but the ones I have seen being sold for sub 30$ has always been terrible
meant mostly for car uses etc
now I am looking on the web,
I see that Logitech has a Adapter, I might look into that
I will look into it,
thank you for you advise
that one is like 10 years old nwo
Does anyone actually have the Drop BMR1 monitors? Haven't seen a single video review of them
Well they're getting released in 3 months so that might be why
I swear I've seen it in every Drop email for the past few months
they look pretty good though
im not sure if this is were i should ask but does anybody know how to get back hd audio drivers after disabling or deleting them from task manager?
ive been trying to find the right drivers to download but i cant find anything
drop Pc37x is still on sail by 35% i wonder how long that’ll last
I'm not sure if this is the correct place to ask this, but what is the best mic for around 50$ or less?
BMR's are pretty interesting, especially as near-field speakers. so im surprised they're not more common
there's only maybe 3 or 4 speakers ive seen utilize them at all
there's a few good ones, fifine t669 and razer seiren mini IMO the best of them. Both benefit from a mic arm tho
A bit higher you could look for a q2u
i know, maybe i'll just clean them yeah
first need to order the hd 650 though
Based
I think I'll go with the seiren mini since it comes in white, it's decent and I dont really care because I'm gonna use it for discord only
Do you know a good white arm for the seiren mini? probably for around 20$ or less
Could anybody suggest decent budget wireless lavaliers? About $120-160, strictly USB C. Need one for the laptop shenanegans
white arms don't really exist, your best bet would be get a black one from innogear and painting it
I've already ordered this one, should I cancel?
static discharge just killed the left channel in my magnius
how am i supposed to have 5w of sparkling water audio now
Im not an audiophile in any way but I do sometimes listen in on each individual instrument and stuffs (like any other person ig) and use audio in fps games. Should I go for Sennheiser HD 560S or just go Steelseries since i already have their mouse and keyboard
Does anyone have any experience with "Cambridge audio" dac and streamers?
Also "most modern DACs upsample", really?
I'm trying to figure out what exactly CAs "forced upsampling"does... Is it just what every dac does anyway, but different method or are they just ruining the sound?
Can someone recommend a good custom Bluetooth keyboard
Or parts for a keyboard
200-300€ max price including wrist rest
But why
Senn
ty
what happened?
so i recently switched from console to pc
n am kinda new to all this
ive been tryna setup my mic which is on my headset , its a 1 pin btw , so when i plug it into the mic jack on my pc it detecs it but it doesent input any audio
1 pin?
yes
wdym 1 pin
it only has 1 headphone jack
pin is something else
anyways
do you have separate mic input and headphone outputs on your motherboard
if so you probably need a 3.5 splitter
whats that?
you have two headphone jacks on your pc im guessing?
if so then one of them is for a microphone
and one of them is for headphones
if you plug your headphones into mic it wont work
if you plug hedpghones into headphones, the mic on them headphones wont work
you need a headphone splitter
probably if there is two headphone jacks on your PC
most likely something like this
The KOOPAO 3.5mm stereo y-splitter cable allows you to easily connect your stereo headset & Mic to a PC audio port and mic port at the same time. enabling you to add a mono microphone input, as well as a stereo output to your PC or Laptop, through a single 3.5mm audio port. It works with all PC A...
this is a 3.5 splitter
is anyone here good with Bluetooth and why it isn’t working?? 😭
Do you have bluetooth on your device?, lel
Yes 🤣 at this stage very pointless having it
Slowly trying to go back to wireless only… only needing 2 cables
Display and power
Audio going to be hardest to deal with quality wise
cheap arms are all the same anyways. if it costs about the same just leave it
Does anyone have experience with Cambridge audio? I'm looking at Cxn V2. I'm trying to decide between that and iDac6. It'll be going to wa2 right now, i do plan on getting speakers at some point as well.
anyone got a good mic and boom arm for a budget?
like 150-200, near that not exactly
xm8500, m track solo, and cheapest innogear arm you can find
I am thinking about buying the soundcore Q45's but my pc doesn't have Bluetooth. Any recomentations for a good bluetooth usb adapter?
creative bt-w4
Any recommendations for general use headphones 100 or under

Can anyone help me fix my Logitech G435 Headset? It does not pair properly, after watching countless videos and spending hours looking through reddit, many have the same problem as me but no one has a fix. Logitech G435 Headset is connecting via bluetooth, but when trying to connect via lightspeed, the cyan light stays solid for about 3 seconds, then proceeds to blink. Throughout this entire time, in windows 11 settings, the headphones can be connected to. The issue is that at no point during the of attemption to connect via lightspeed the audio works properly. The audio has worked just a few hours ago but does not anymore. Could you please recommend what I can do to fix the headphones, or any videos that may help
if you can, go IEMs. if it has to be headphones, akg k361
the quality jump from $100 to $160 is massive
there are basically no over ear headphones with good tuning out of box under $100 but there are a ton of in ear monitors like nexgen said
There's 1
k361 and that's abt it
but even k361 can be a little bright for some people since it's older harman
Is the schitt modi/magni really as bad as redditors mald about? Or is it just elitism and common=bad
modi is not at all better than an apple dongle
but the magni is a very decent amp
definitely unfounded average redditor hate
magni is a fine amp, tons of power for not a high price. Modi just looks nice
yea I mean I'm aware they're fairly lower end, but the hate they get lol
I don't have perfect ears anyway
reddit is just full of elitists
it doesn't matter
Modi doesn't make sense for the price, but it looks good with magni which is a good amp for the price
they’re actually fantastic
